2. Introduction
The project is based on Internet of Things.
Our project deals with collecting data through
sensors and then viewing this data from
anywhere in the world through the internet
facility.
The data that we wish to collect can refer to
any physical quantity such as temperature,
pressure, humidity, any human presence,
light intensity, smoke level, etc.
Collecting this data and then sending this
data to any available IoT service provider, a
client that helps in collecting this data and
projects it in the form of graphs.
3. Components Involved
Arduino development platform
(Microcontroller)
A wifi shield to connect out controller
board to internet
Sensors (number and types
depending on our usage)
A few passive components like
resistors and capacitors.
6. Working
An embedded system designed for
environmental monitoring.
The embedded devices are placed in particular
area for sensing purpose.
The sensors detect intensity levels in that area, if
the threshold limit is crossed the corresponding
controlling action will be taken.
All the sensor devices are connected to internet
through Wi-Fi module.
The sensed data will be automatically sent to the
web server, when a proper connection is
established with sever device.
By entering IP address of server which is placed
for monitoring we will get the corresponding web
page.

The smart way to monitor
environment.
This data will be helpful for future
analysis and it can be easily shared to
other end users.
9. Future Scope
This model can be further expanded to
monitor the developing cities and
industrial.
To protect the public health and to
provide overall safety, this model
provides an efficient and low cost
solution for continuous monitoring of
environment.
