The film Triumph of the Will was created in 1934 after Hitler was named Fuhrer of Germany. At the
time, Hitler was eager to improve the public image of the NSDP (National Socialist German Workers
Party). After his election as chancellor in Early January 1933, Hitler gave Leni Riefenstahl the job of
filming the annual NSDAP conference in Nuremberg, Germany . Riefenstahl accepted the offer and

On April 18th at Greene Central High School, I chose to interview one of our phenomenal counselors,
Chris Campbell. When I confronted him and asked to interview him, he immediately accepted the

The Great Reset by Richard Florida discusses the many issues that have occurred due to various
recessions and depressions. The book provides an outlook and realistic perspective on how he
perceives the current crisis will play out. Florida states that the new normal will not be as focused on
cars, houses, and suburbs. We will not be as centered on the ownership society which George W. Bush
discussed. This is an upsetting realization. Owning a house is not what it used to be. Growing up,
owning a house was a big dream of mine. With a new economy like we are in, owning a house tends
to be more of a hindrance. I can understand where his point of view is coming from. In today s society
you have to be able to have a flexibility, which sometimes involves moving to a new place. Renting
houses or apartments is going to become the greater choice. Many of the resets in the past have
recovered and actually brought about some good aspects. For instance, the first reset gave us a

the video of these stories added to the collections at various local and national institutions; (4) To have
the stories performed at three differing spaces [In The Meantime, Holman United Methodist Church,
and the ONE Archives]; (5) Have the stories and memorabilia, relating to Black gay life in South Los

I n today s society, the human body is placed on a pedestal for the world to critique. Both women and
men are seen as individuals that are supposed to act, dress, and look a certain way. If they falter, they
are seen as strange and sometimes called names; this is especially true for women. According to
society, man is woman s better half, and many philosophers have shown interest in this correlation.
Beauvoir, in her book The Second Sex, she talks about how women are the other and are seen as being
less than men are. Also, Young explains in her paper, Throwing Like a Girl, how men and women
approach certain obstacles differently. Along with Young s, paper a company called Always made a
promo #LikeAGirl and put into practice what Young states in her paper. Though these philosophers
and company have tried to push for woman equality, other companies, such as Hardies, have stopped
their efforts. So why do we see women as the lesser half? It is because, how we see the human body,
particularly women, is in direct correlation to where and how we are raised. Before you can describe
what the difference between men and women is, you must first understand what it means to be a

There are many different concepts and thoughts that can be taken from Plato s The Apology. It is my
personal opinion that Socrates views on wisdom, or more specifically, human wisdom, are among the
most paramount of points that should be taken and understood by the reader. Throughout his defense,
Socrates uses the concept of human wisdom (or the lack thereof) as an argument for his acquittal.
According to Socrates human wisdom has little value, and the only reason he is wiser than most men

Socrates begins by discussing why his previous accusers accused him of what he did. I will try to
show you what has caused this reputation and slander...is none other than a certain kind of wisdom
(20d, 23a). His next point on human wisdom, is that it is not very valuable; That one of you, O human
beings, is wisest who, like Socrates, has become cognizant that in truth he is worth nothing with
respect to wisdom (23b). Socrates still believes however, that thinking about and examining wisdom is

When using the Double Bubble Map method to compare two subjects, there are three sides. The
similarities, and the different things about the subjects. In this case, the subjects were Tomi and Keet,
the main characters of House of The Red Fish. One of the many differences between Tomi and Keet is
that Tomi is determined to get his father s fishing sampan to the surface, but Keet is adamant about
keeping it at the bottom of the canal where it lays. The Double Bubble Map is convenient because it

Describe specifically what the term arbitrary color means, a color used at random for objects that have
a common color, such as, a tree has green leaves, but we choose to make the leave purple or making
the sun black, the clouds green, or the sky yellow, etc.
Who was the first artist to employ the technique? I would have to say Katsushika Hokusai, Kitagawa
Utamaro, and And¯o Hiroshige had a role in the technique. The technique was used in And¯o
Hiroshige color woodcut print, ( Moon Pine at Ueno from One Hundred Views of Famous Places in
Edo ), (Pg. 27), because of the color use. The colors seem to be out of place, such as, the sky s
appearance being that of black, blue, and green, also the tree appears to have a redder tent than what
we would normally see in nature. Hiroshige and other Japanese artists had gotten young artist thinking
about color, arbitrary color, and pure color. One of the artist that took the color techniques from color
woodcut prints and Japanese prints was Paul Gauguin. Gauguin was truly the first to employ arbitrary
color techniques, which can be seen in his (Vision after the Sermon), (Pg. 60), with vivid red paint in
the back ground, splashes of green and blue tenting on the nuns faces, these colors are not known in
nature, and they are non descriptive. It just isn t natural to see these colors placed this way. Thus,
Gauguin s paintings influenced younger artist and affected their ideas in the Nabis and Fauve periods.
