characterized by hyperglycemia resulting from defects in insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. The
chronic hyperglycemia associated with diabetes results in failure of various organs including eyes,

The primary source of soil pollution can be at tributed to the history of industrial/commercial activi
ties in certain areas.4 We have chosen to analyze the soil at Northwestern University to highlight
human factors and contributions to this pollution. Given the history of the Northwestern, there are
many areas of the campus that differ in properties such as the age of buildings, the proximity to bodies
of water, areas of construction, and high traffic. For use in our study, the campus was divided into
