This document discusses computer animation. It defines animation as giving life to things by specifying how they move through time and space. Computer animation is divided into two categories: computer-assisted animation, which aids the animation process for 2D and 3D works; and computer-generated animation, which uses both low-level techniques that precisely define motion and high-level techniques that describe general motion behavior.
