3. We asked this particular question as we wanted to
get information regarding the impact on students in
particular but also get a broader insight as to how it
was affecting all people looking at the prospect of
university. Also within our vox pops this question
highlighted the level of knowledge that the average
person had on the topic and in some cases showed
how times have evolved, particularly from more
mature interviewee’s answers. For example from
statements like ‘in my day’ and ‘when I went to
university’. This all gave us a wider spectrum of
feedback and research which improved the quality of
the content within our documentary.
4.
5. This question took a more broad approach looking at
the overall topic, trying to get different people’s
opinions on the matter. We also asked this question
in order to try and provoke contrasting ideas so that
we could represent both sides of the argument within
our documentary and identify any correlations or
patterns within our feedback.
6.
7. We integrated this question to try and make sure that
we were not focussing on the negatives. This also
enabled us to find out not only if people thought that
the situation could be improved but in what ways
specifically and how they would go about doing this.
8.
9. This question made us consider other factors that
were associated to our chosen topic and raised the
issue that people could still get on perfectly well in
life without a degree. We felt that this could
strengthen our documentary by making it more
rounded and allowed us to develop points made by
people in more detail.
10.
11. This linked nicely to the previous question and
allowed us to get different opinions on whether a
degree is an essential when applying for good jobs.
Consequently, getting all sorts of feedback that we
could then integrate into our documentary.
12.
13. This question took a positive approach. We did this to
try and make sure that we could portray both sides of
the argument to a certain extent within our
documentary.
