The document discusses integrated municipal solid waste management in India. It notes that solid waste generation in India is expected to increase substantially by 2050 due to population growth and increasing urbanization. The collection and transportation of municipal solid waste involves various types of vehicles and bins at the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels, ranging from tricycles and auto rickshaws for primary door-to-door collection to larger bins and skips that can be mechanically emptied for secondary storage and transportation to processing or disposal sites. The suitable applications of different equipment are described.
TSDF has played a vital role in hazardous waste management (HWM) includes transporting hazardous waste from a generator's site to disposal facility for recycling, treat, store, or dispose of the waste. The waste which cannot be used for any purpose, the safe and environmentally sound disposal has been adopted depending upon the nature of hazardous waste. TSDF follows the generator and transporter in the chain of waste management activities. These include general facility standards as well as unit-specific design and operating criteria. The general facility standards consist of good housekeeping provisions for any facility that handles hazardous waste.

Planning waste management and recycling for all waste generated by an organisation can be a daunting and enormous task which will require logistical planning, knowledge of legislation and a more in-depth understanding in order to balance environmental and economic benefits.
This task quite often will fall with the energy manager for the organisation, if there is no sustainability person or team. The session gives a brief introduction on principles of waste management and relevant legal issues and gives practical guidance on how to set up waste management and recycling for your organisation.
Urban Municipal Solid Waste Management (MSW) Commercial and Domestic Wastes, ...Ajjay Kumar Gupta
Due to rapid increase in the production and consumption processes, societies generate as well as reject solid materials regularly from various sectors – agricultural, commercial, domestic, industrial and institutional. The considerable volume of wastes thus generated and rejected is called solid wastes. In other words, solid wastes are the wastes arising from human and animal activities that are normally solid and are discarded as useless or unwanted. This inevitably places an enormous strain on natural resources and seriously undermines efficient and sustainable development. One of the ways to salvage the situation is through efficient management of solid wastes.
There has been a significant increase in MSW (Municipal Solid Waste) generation in India in the last few decades. This is largely because of rapid population growth and economic development in the country. Solid waste management has become a major environmental issue in India .

BRIQUETTING PRESS MACHINE FOR A SUSTAINABLE WORLDDeepi Makwana
Briquetting machines came into existence when there raised need of saving environment from industrial pollution. This is due to the reason if industrial pollution left untreated it will causes land, air and water pollution. Briquetting machines convert waste material into briquettes which are further used in variety of purposes in various industries as well as domestic sector. These machinery creates sustainable green world around us.
To minimize the initial generation of waste materials through source reduction, then through reusing and recycling to further reduce the volume of the material being sent to landfills or incineration compared to the conventional approach of simply focusing on disposal of solid waste.

"Understanding the Carbon Cycle: Processes, Human Impacts, and Strategies for...MMariSelvam4
The carbon cycle is a critical component of Earth's environmental system, governing the movement and transformation of carbon through various reservoirs, including the atmosphere, oceans, soil, and living organisms. This complex cycle involves several key processes such as photosynthesis, respiration, decomposition, and carbon sequestration, each contributing to the regulation of carbon levels on the planet.
Human activities, particularly fossil fuel combustion and deforestation, have significantly altered the natural carbon cycle, leading to increased atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations and driving climate change. Understanding the intricacies of the carbon cycle is essential for assessing the impacts of these changes and developing effective mitigation strategies.
By studying the carbon cycle, scientists can identify carbon sources and sinks, measure carbon fluxes, and predict future trends. This knowledge is crucial for crafting policies aimed at reducing carbon emissions, enhancing carbon storage, and promoting sustainable practices. The carbon cycle's interplay with climate systems, ecosystems, and human activities underscores its importance in maintaining a stable and healthy planet.
In-depth exploration of the carbon cycle reveals the delicate balance required to sustain life and the urgent need to address anthropogenic influences. Through research, education, and policy, we can work towards restoring equilibrium in the carbon cycle and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.

UNDERSTANDING WHAT GREEN WASHING IS!.pdfJulietMogola
Many companies today use green washing to lure the public into thinking they are conserving the environment but in real sense they are doing more harm. There have been such several cases from very big companies here in Kenya and also globally. This ranges from various sectors from manufacturing and goes to consumer products. Educating people on greenwashing will enable people to make better choices based on their analysis and not on what they see on marketing sites.
Characterization and the Kinetics of drying at the drying oven and with micro...Open Access Research Paper
The objective of this work is to contribute to valorization de Nephelium lappaceum by the characterization of kinetics of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum. The seeds were dehydrated until a constant mass respectively in a drying oven and a microwawe oven. The temperatures and the powers of drying are respectively: 50, 60 and 70°C and 140, 280 and 420 W. The results show that the curves of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum do not present a phase of constant kinetics. The coefficients of diffusion vary between 2.09.10-8 to 2.98. 10-8m-2/s in the interval of 50°C at 70°C and between 4.83×10-07 at 9.04×10-07 m-8/s for the powers going of 140 W with 420 W the relation between Arrhenius and a value of energy of activation of 16.49 kJ. mol-1 expressed the effect of the temperature on effective diffusivity.

25. Vacuum Collection System
• The vacuum system is an interconnection of underground bins through
underground pipes through which waste is collected in to the containers by
creating vaccum / pressure difference.
• The waste into the containers is compacted which are located at outskirts from
where they can be transported without any hassles
• With a vacuum system, nobody needs to come into contact with waste or
containers. All full inlets are emptied at regular intervals via a control system in a
terminal building on the periphery of the area. This terminal building is linked to
the inlets by means of an underground pipe system.
• The vacuum system eliminates the need for heavy waste collection trucks in the
city centre.
• The problem of over-full containers in the streets disappears as waste is emptied
automatically as required
• Waste will no longer attract pests or insects or release unpleasant odours
• Digital technology provides information on individual units connected. The
quantity and type of waste and the time are recorded. This method allows in case
the user charges collection and tipping fee payments are involved

As per CPCB report 2012-13 ULBs generate 1,33,760 TPD of MSW, of which
only 91,152 TPD (68%) waste is collected and 25,884 TPD (19%) is treated.
The MSW, therefore, dumped in low lying urban areas is a whopping 1,07,876
TPD (81%), which needs 2,12,752 cubic meter space every day and 776
hectare of precious land per year
