The instructional plan aims to provide supplemental training to staff on personal safety techniques (PST) in order to increase confidence and reduce fear when working with potentially aggressive clients. The one-hour training session will take place at the clinical education centre for frontline clinical staff and include a review of crisis development theory, demonstration and practice of PST, and advanced drilling techniques to be evaluated through a post-course survey. The goal is for staff to feel more prepared to properly demonstrate PST for different situations without hesitation.
