economist and there are the heterodox economists which covers the nonmainstream views.
Although the mainstream economicsis the one taught in school, its assumptions are there to achieve

To me wind farms are both good and bad for the community but mostly bad because of the
validity and persuasion of this essay. I am in agreement with H. Sterling Burnett on many of his
points. One of the points that I see to be wrong would be that the wind farms don t generate
enough energy. To me I think any source of energy is better than none and even though the
energy isn t always being produced always it still will have a big effect on the environment when
it is. Wind energy could have tremendous benefits and could be a fast growing energy source
that will help the world. Besides the fact that I think the energy is good, I agree that these types
of energy take up many acres to produce enough energy and I believe it is harming specific
habitats because of these power plants being built. The author is very specific when talking about
certain things in his passage and one of these would be the harm being done to birds and bats.
Many statistics are stated in the few paragraphs proving how many birds are being killed each
year, and not just in the United States. Also in, Tariff, and Spain many birds have been killed by
wind turbine farms. Results are discussed on how lawsuits are going to be made and how
expansion of the farms is going to be limited. These are just few of the many statistics put into the
passage.

the Bodo West oil field were discovered in 1960 and 1970 respectively. According to Sule (2000),
there are five major oil fields in the Ogoni area with 96 oil wells linked up to five flow stations in
Bomu, Korokoro, Yorla, Bodo West, and Ebubu. These fields have a current production potential
of 28000 barrels per day which is about 3% of Shell PDC s crude production
