- 2. Plot • Raven wakes up mental institution remembering only her first name and the haunting image of her best friend’s dead body. With the ghost of her best friend haunting her, blaming her for her death – Raven, with the help of her new friend, works to prove her innocence, find out what really happened to her best friend, regain her memories and battle her inner demons.
- 3. Themes In the opening sequence: • Insanity vs. Sanity – is Raven insane? Throughout the main plotline: • Mystery – is Sienna dead and if so who really killed her. • Crime – the murder and the investigation into it.
- 4. Raven 16 years old and is a student. She is accused of the death of her best friend Sienna. All she knows she is that she is innocent and her name is Raven. She wakes up in the mental institution and doesn’t remember anything. She is haunted by the ghost of her best friend who blames her for her death.
- 5. Sienna 16 years old, a student. She is murdered whilst walking with Raven. Her ghost haunts Raven’s mind, blaming her for her murder. She is an innocent character. Could be a hallucination of Raven’s from guilt.
- 6. The Guards Ages unknown. Quite irrelevant. Restrain and sedate Raven when she tries to escape and starts screaming Tries to keep Raven in her room no matter what.
- 7. Hunter 17 years old Also an inmate in the institution. In there because he has Schizophrenia. Helps Raven escape and figure out the truth. Plays a large part in the main narrative but may not be in the opening sequence.
- 8. Settings • Mental Institute room – white, pristine, cold, empty, lifeless. • Park – gloomy, cloudy, empty.
- 9. Costume Raven – • Jeans and a jumper • Grey or Black jumper/t-shirt and leggings/tracksuit bottoms Sienna – • Jeans and a t-shirt • Shredded versions of what she was wearing Guards – • Uniform? • Black clothes?
