The document outlines four students' ideas for a thriller/mystery film trailer. Sonila proposes a story about a girl murdered by her father while others suspect her alcoholic mother. Shanice's idea involves friends covering up a murder at a tense dinner party. Keera's centers on a girl stalked about a secret from the summer. Valjeta's is set on a train where a man threatens girls with an unknown substance. The group then combines elements into a final story of girls confessing hatred for a boy before he is found dead and they are framed for the murder. They discuss target audience, locations, props, and assigning roles for filming.
How to Make a Field invisible in Odoo 17Celine George
It is possible to hide or invisible some fields in odoo. Commonly using “invisible” attribute in the field definition to invisible the fields. This slide will show how to make a field invisible in odoo 17.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
2. SONILA’S IDEA
• GENRE: Thriller mystery.
• LOCATION: Dead at her house.
• IDEA: a girl who gets murdered by her father
but everyone accuses her mother as she is an
alcoholic and not a proper parent figure. Each
character apart from the murder (father) to be
revealed. For the murder it can be just close up
of their hands with blood or the weapon which
they used to kill her. But the twist in this is that
her father has another wife whom he has
children with. To be through the use of
montages and also flashbacks of the victim’s
parents arguing while she was a little girl. Also,
flashbacks of the father leaving them and
joining another family. I would like it to start off
with her talking and also her dead at the same
time, almost like we are flashing back to her
days that she was alive. That’s when she will
introduce all the characters as if she is writing a
note to each and every one that she knows.
3. SHANICE’S IDEA
• GENRE: Thriller mystery
• LOCATION: Dinner Party
• IDEA: A group of friends who try cover up a murder. Begins with a
black screen that fades into long shot of the girls sitting down at a
dinner party discussing about what they had done and the plan of what
they need to do next in order to not get caught. There is so much
tension in the room because they don’t know what to do and what is
going to happen if anyone outside the group finds out. There is
shouting, screaming and crying because everyone is stressed until one
girl just walks out because she has had enough. No one knows where
she has gone and no one knows what is she planning to do but she is
gone. The girls shout come back then this cuts to a black screen
where there are footsteps with someone dragging the shovel that is
covered by blood across the grass. This scene is set at night time
where there is no one there. It is quiet however incidental music is
used to emphasise this scene. Throughout this there are constant cuts
to the medium close up shots to introduce the different characters and
also add tension because every one of them do not know what to do
and they are panicking however there is already someone out there
who is handling it. This is kept as a mystery.
4. KEERA’S IDEA
• A girl is getting anonymous notes and texts from
a sinister stalker. They are claiming to know
about something she did in the summer which
no one else knows. She doesn’t want anyone to
find out as it could get her into serious trouble
but the stalker doesn’t care. He uses what he
knows to get her to do whatever he wants which
causes tension in the relationships in her life.
He gives her a deadline to find out who they are
or they’ll reveal her secret. It’s all a game to
them. The girl has to use the clues he gives her
and the hints around her to find out who the
person is before her life is destroyed. The
person is closer to her than she thinks.
5. VALJETA’S IDEA
• GENRE: Thriller Mystery
• LOCATION: on a train
• IDEA:The trailer is going to begin with a group of young females roughly around the age
of 17/18 on a quite train. A group of girls continuously laugh and conversate between
each other without concentrating on their surrounding. One of the girls from the group
notices a man come onto the train and sit across from them. His action is seen as
unusual as the entire train cart is empty. He is sitting next to one of the girls. As the girls
become aware of the man sitting besides them staring they suddenly fall quite. One of
the young females turns to the man and says ‘Excuse me sir that seat is taken’, whilst the
rest of the girls giggle under their breathe. He turns to her suddenly and pulls out a silver
can and sprays in into her and her friends face. They cough in struggle but eventually fall
silent. The girl sitting right besides the man sits completely still staring at what the man
has done to her friends in disbelief. The train finally comes to a stop and the doors pull
apart. She stumbles and manages to pull herself onto her feet as an attempt to get away
from the man. He grabs her and sprays something in her face. There is none diegetic
sound of one of the girls explaining what is happening. “I didn’t know where I was or
where he was taking us. But I remind frozen still due to the about of fear that had entered
my body. There was no use in screaming for help…”
6. FINAL SYNOPSIS
There is a group of girls drinking and confessing their hate
for the popular boy in the school. The next morning they go
to school and find out that the boy is dead. In a tribute
assembly and find out that he was killed in the way they
said they would do it. They realise that someone was
listening to them and is framing them for the murder. The
constant threat against them causes their lives to come
crashing down around them.
7. INTENDED TARGET AUDIENCE
Our intended target
audience for our teaser
trailer is the category
classification of 15. This is
because our teaser trailer
contains violence, scenes
that some viewers may find
upsetting and sensitive
content. The teaser trailer is
based upon a teenage
audience and therefore is
more suited as the
audience will be able to
relate and sympathise with
8. PROPS
The props that we will be using in our film is:
• A shovel
• Fake blood
• Pictures
• Flowers
• Candles
• Phone
• TV/Radio
9. SETTINGS
Our teaser trailer is set in different locations such as:
• School
• Houses
• Graveyard
• The Woods
• Police Station
• Restaurant/Cafe
10. SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS
Filming this teaser trailer will require our group to make
special arrangements. Firstly we need to ask to use both
the school and the restaurant as part of our location to film.
The school will be more easier as we already attend there
however, we need to ask one of the drama teachers to
feature in the trailer as the school head teacher.
With the restaurant we must ask permission beforehand
and we also need to make sure we are allowed to use the
shovel as the public may assume that we are just carrying
it around for danger when really we are just using it to film.
11. HEALTH AND SAFETY
1. Shovel- As we are filming it in a public space and area
we need to ensure we are careful when using the
shovel and also ensure that we put the safety of the
public first to avoid conflict or anyone from getting hurt.
2. If the weather is not so great equipment we use to film
with such as the camera or the wires for lightening may
get et so we need to ensure we pick a day where the
weather is not too bad but also it may be slippery so we
need to ensure we have suitable shoes to avoid any
injuries.
3. As we will be filming in the dark we need to ensure all
parents are informed and everyone has a way of getting
home safely.
