Laboratory does not interpret the result.
However interpretation will be conducted if :
1) There is a request by customer
2) Interpretations are given by researcher.
3) We plan to include decision support system for our
soil testing laboratory automatically.

Indonesia has 97 soil laboratories consists of :
• Goverment Agencies : 22 labs
• Non Goverment : 29 labs
• Reseach institute : 32 labs
• University : 14 labs
Mobile lab : private companies (State owner company
in fertilizer industries)
The soil test kits commonly used for helping the farmer :
• Paddy Soils Test Kit,
• Upland Soils Test Kit,
• Swampland Soil test Kit

Strength of laboratory is rely on :
• Equipment : Sample capacity 20.000 per year
• Sufficient equipment and staffs
Laboratory could be improved :
Equipment, Capacity building for analyst,
laboratory management, samples management
Expected result from this workshop :
• Find the general method for soil analysis
• Networking among manager soil lab
• Periodically meeting among country members
