2. INDESIGN-
This here is an practice idea for my InDesign,
based around a random subject. This is the first
time of which I have used InDesign and taken
some form of tutorial around the idea of using it.
Using this kind of software is just like using
Photoshop apart from being able to use the idea
of to use two different a4 sheets beside each
other, making it great for the idea of making a
double page spread for a magazine/newspaper.
With this being a practice I didn’t type up the
text I simply coped it of a website and simply
Pasted it into my double page spread. Next off I
drew a box to place an image in and found one
of google images, once I had done that, I created
a Photoshop document in the same dimension as
the image box is and pasted the image into
Photoshop, expanding its size to the correct
diameter. Once I had done this I saved it as a J-
PEG and placed it into this InDesign document.
Finally I used the text wrap tool to make the text
wrap around the edge, making the text fit more
neatly and also stopping the image from
covering any of the text.

3. InDesign
• With this style of InDesign it was more of the style
of an actual production task, this is because I made
on an actual thing and collected actual text from a
website and thought about it. With the previous
InDesign it was more based around the idea of jus
trying it out and getting a feel for the software in
general, so it didn’t really matter what kind of
features I added into it and how I made it look. I
didn’t really add in any new editing techniques to
this design than the other, however I did in the
idea of much more text and more images to help
build up the content of it. Initially I based it around
the idea of the film ‘OVERDRIVE’ and in the double
page spread included the overview, plot and some
form of review of a film review website, I decided
to use these kind of things in my double page
spread as I believe that it is the kind of information
that you would want to have in a double page
spread as it would be seen to appeal towards an
audience and can be the sort of information that
would appeal to the viewer of the magazine.

5. PHOTOSHOPThis screenshot here is an example of a magazine
cover based around anything of which I wanted to
base it around and in this case I decided to base it
around the idea of a front cover for a gaming
magazine. Due to the fact that it Is more of a
design I made it quite basic also as I am far behind
with my work I had to be quick about making the
idea and as a result I didn't’t have much time to
add a lot of detail into it, but with it being an
experiment I feel that it doesn't’t really matter
with the kind of content of which I included in it. I
decided to try and make some sort of split screen
effect by making half of the cover to be PS4 and
the other half to be XBOX ONE and then tried to
add in the idea of a 3D effect with the explosion
and the ‘VS’ in the middle, this I believe was a
good idea as it represents and gives hints towards
what the main article is going to be about.
However I think that I could have made the actual
attempt at the 3D effect slightly better, I would
have done this by maybe adding some
flames/sparks coming off the explosion.
