Analysis Of Phillis Wheatley s Thoughts On The Works Of...
An important point inside Phillis Wheatley s story, Thoughts on the works of Providence, is that God
is visible in a number of things in nature. But, however, we must open our eyes and soul to actually
see it. She refers to the Sun a lot in the poem, and it subjects how big God is and his abilities, not just
representation. Her thoughts are that the sun is able to provide for the things on earth, such as humans,
plants, and a number of things. For instance, Wheatley s states that, So far beneath from Him the
extended earth, vigor derives, and every flowery births. It s a metaphoric statement that implies God is
represented by the sun therefore giving life to everything on planet earth and more. Her use of
symbolism also gives a great representation

Mt Alverni The Most Viable Target Market
In celebration of Mount Alvernia s 60th Anniversary, the Mount Alvernia Parents and Friends Support
Network intend to host a function. Functions are advantageous to the local economy as they generate
visitor spending, thus more income and employment possibilities (Department of State and Regional
Development, 2014). Furthermore, events provide a platform for social interaction, which would
ultimately strengthen the Mount Alvernia community. In addition, an anniversary celebration is an
opportunity to market the school as successful and sustainable (Fossler, 2001). Therefore, the function
would benefit the college.
The event aims to connect the past and the present students of Mount Alvernia College to
commemorate the school s 60th ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Tuite s plans for the future of the college. The second objective is to break even; which can be
measured by the calculation of cost and profit. This objective ensures the college does not bear a debt
and honours the Franciscan value simplicity. The third objective is o acknowledge the initial ten
students and three teaching sisters, as they were unfortunately unrecognised t the previous 50th
anniversary celebrations. A featured Roll Call ensures the third objective will be attained.
Furthermore, goal four is to increase attendance. Hence, the P F recommend the inclusion of a registry
for it allows us to compare the attendance of the 60th anniversary celebration to that of the 50th event.
As a final point, objective five is to eliminate neighbourhood disturbance. This can be measured by
complaints from locals concerning the event.
The Mount Alvernia Parents and Friends Support Network has conducted a survey regarding the scope
of the event. It is important the survey feedback dictates the planning of the event to maximise
attendance. Therefore, the survey was sent to 43 members of the target market.
A garden party was voted the ideal event by 56% of surveyed students. The garden party fits the
purpose of the function as the Missionary Franciscan Sisters traditionally held afternoon tea in the
gardens following Mass (Mount Alvernia College, 2016). Furthermore, La Forresta was voted

Jay Gatsby Great
I think Nicks reasons for thinking of Jay Gatsby as the great Gatsby , is because Jay Gatsby has done
or said he has done a lot in his life to get to where he is today. He makes himself sound very good
when he tells nick everything in the car. Nick was sort of shocked by how successful he is or was. Jay
is not keeping his past from society; he s more open with it. People decide to make up these rumors
because Gatsby was never really noticed by anyone to be able to tell the truth about everything he s
done in his past.
I think another thing that makes Nick think of Gatsby the way he does is Gatsby s past. Gatsby came
from literally nothing; He was dirt poor and wanted nothing to do with his parents. One day Gatsby
happened to come across ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Gatsby doesn t exactly belong in the wealthy group and his outsider status is very important. Gatsby
plays a person who does belong in the wealthy group. So, Nick s is surprised at Gatsby s ability make
his dreams come to life making it seem so easy. Gatsby kind of just plays a part.
Nick thinks Gatsby is great because he was able to create a new identity for himself when he needed
to be someone else. Gatsby s strive to accomplish things amazes Nick. Gatsby focused on a goal of
winning Daisy, and he did whatever was necessary to accomplish it. Gatsby never quits from his goal
and dream of winning Daisy, and even in reality, his strive is admirable , and somewhat
misunderstood. All Gatsby wanted was to be with Daisy, and for her he moved up so he could be equal
to her in the same status. So that she would notice him and would return the feelings back to Gatsby.
I think Nick saw Gatsby as great because of the things he achieved and the way he achieved it.
Although Gatsby was not from old money he made it seem like he was from old money. Something
Nick thought was especially interesting. But what I think really got Nick is when he found out Gatsby
wasn t really Gatsby and that he dealt with illegal things all in the name of love to get

Integration Of Engineers And Military History
INTEGRATION OF ENGINEERS IN US MILITARY HISTORY
Name: Josue Forgue (SSG) Institution: SLC Class 004 14 Introduction
The US military is a national force that is tasked with the duty of protecting the federal state from
attacks from external forces. In this respect, the military is obliged to use some special scientific skills.
This sees to it that the military combating is done with convenience and effectiveness. In this regard,
the military was compelled to integrate engineers in its operations throughout its long history
(Arkesian, Connor Sarkesian, 2006).
Body

government established the first Army Corps. This was essentially an Army ... Show more content on

The academy was stationed at West Point in New York State. It became the only and then the major
school of engineering in the US. The Corps of Engineers were tasked with duties such as the
improvement of navigation on the Mississippi river (Arkesian, Connor Sarkesian, 2006).
The US military integrated topographical engineers. At around the year 1838, they were used for the
sake of mainstreaming civil works. They took up the task of mapping as well as the design and the
fortification of the coastal routes. The engineers also took up the task of surveying the lakes of the US
in the North and the North West. These engineers saw to it that the topography of the nation was
effectively mainstreamed in accordance to the requirements of the federal government (American
Society of Naval Engineers Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, 2006).
During the civil war, the engineering element that had been integrated into the military in the US
played a very key role. The military carried out many missions during this time and the central nerve
to these missions was the engineers. They undertook tasks like the construction of bridges, forts,
batteries, the entrenchment into fortified enemy territory, and the demolition of the supply chain of the
enemy. It is in this respect that the military was able to keep the enemies at bay. They were able to go
over running torrents of rivers and entered into the

Brake Process Speech
Knowing when you require a brake substitution is vital to your wellbeing as well as to the general
estimation of your auto. Rehearsing routine support on your auto or conveying it to experts who can
analyze and repair any car issue is critical throughout the entire year however especially in the winter
months when street conditions crumble. Your brake rotors and brake cushions give the essential power
to moderate and stop your vehicle, henceforth why brake substitution is critical.
How Do I Know whether my Brakes Need to be Replaced?
There are a few signs that your brakes rotors or brake cushions should be supplanted or need
administration. In the event that you feel a heartbeat on your brake pedal, vibration in the directing
wheel or hear a banging, pounding or granulating commotion when weight is connected to the pedal,
it might be a great opportunity to get your auto for administration. Another indication of wear on
brakes is whether they get somewhat which will bring about one of the wheels to hold back and slip.

Comparing Feminist Poetry by Plath and Sexton Essay
Comparing Feminist Poetry by Plath and Sexton
Poetry should be a shock to the senses. It should also hurt Anne Sexton believed (Baym 2703), and
evidence of this maxim s implications echoes loudly through the writing of Sexton as well as through
the work of her friend and contemporary Sylvia Plath.
Plath and Sexton s lifetimes spanned a period of remarkable change in the social role of women in
America, and both are obviously feminist poets caught somewhere between the submissive pasts of
their mothers and the liberated futures awaiting their daughters. With few established female poets to
emulate, Plath and Sexton broke new ground with their intensely personal, confessional poetry. Their

However, Plath uses her father s German ancestry, as well as ideas about women s relationships with
their fathers and husbands, to broaden the poem s significance beyond the scope of her own
experience. Plath herself said that the poem related to the Electra complex, defined by The World
Book Medical Encyclopedia as a Freudian theory about a young girl s possessive but repressed love
for her father ( Electra Complex online).
The child narrating Daddy, in a youthful, Kipling like rhythm, is haunted by her father s monumental
presence in her world, calling him marble heavy, a bag full of God (Plath 2748). Both the poem s
childlike cadence and the innocent description of a father still the center of a young girl s universe
make it easy to re experience a youthful yearning for parental approval. When the father in the poem
dies, the young girl spends much of her life searching for a way to understand and get close to him
despite his absence. She inquires about the town where he grew up, but finds that [...] the name of the
town is common. / My Polack friend / Says there are a dozen or two. / So I never could tell where you
/ Put your foot, your root, / I never could talk to you (Plath 2748). Later, her search for her

Non Indigenous teachers encounter numerous barriers when teaching inclusive Australian history and
presenting the perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Teachers often lack
education and exposure, have a fear of opposition or consequences, or have minimal awareness of one

non Indigenous heritage, I must consider my own ethical positioning (O Dowd, 2010), so I can best

One person s understanding of history often relates with their sense of cultural identity (Fearon, 1999).
Australia s education about our history may have been misrepresented so that that voices of several
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture s voices were not heard or disregarded. Pre service
teachers may have also been misled or have under represented ideas of Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander culture s due to media representations or lack of, a misguided approach still occurring
presently. I believe that it is important for pre service teachers to consider and understand their ethical
positioning, so as to expose preconceived assumptions and views. As a pre service teacher, it is my
responsibility to become continually educated as to the correct history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander cultures, and constantly challenge my present knowledge and understanding in order to
develop and have a more mature idea of what it means to be a modern Australian educator. I will make
sure that I thoroughly engage with research based online, but will ensure that I engage and have

their professional understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, so as to be the most

The South Beach And The Beach Diet
The South Beach diet The South Beach diet originated from Miami, Florida, by an American
cardiologist called Dr. Arthur Agatston. During the diet, the South Beach diet emphasizes the
consumption of high quality carbohydrates such as: whole grains and fruits and high quality fats such
as: low fat cheese and skim milk. In contrast, it eliminates dire carbohydrates such as potatoes and dire
fats such as: bacon, butter, and cream. This allows people the luxury of several high energy foods that
contain good carbohydrates and good fats, whilst eliminating cravings and keeping taste buds
satisfied. This diet has three phases. Phase 1 is designed to stabilize your blood sugar levels and

If you find yourself getting off track or if cravings return, you can go back to Phase 1 or 2 to maintain
your goal weight. You ll continue to maintain your weight and healthy lifestyle for the rest of your life
(Agaston, n.d.). As a whole, the South Beach diet food selection is low in carbohydrates and low in
fat. It teaches dieters the right carbohydrates (whole grains and fruit) and right fats (extra virgin olive
oil, canola oil and avocados) to eat. By following this diet the person will begin to lose between 4 6
kilograms, within the first two (2) weeks (Phase one). The diet suggests starting off having three
balanced meals a day which can contain foods of normal serving size such as meat, chicken, turkey,
fish, vegetables, eggs, cheese and nuts. These listed foods are mainly protein and diary based, which
contain low sugars and salt. By initially eliminating all sugary carbohydrates like cereals, grains and
fruits, the body will lower blood sugar levels, and begin to burn excess fat instead, causing weight
loss. Analysis of the diet against its ability to meet the Australian Dietary Guidelines According to the
Department of Health and Ageing (2011) The Australian Dietary Guideline (ADG) 2: Enjoy a wide
variety of nutritious foods from the five groups every day , carbohydrates being one of the major food

Interview With A Chemical Engineer
For this math related occupation project, I interviewed Brian Pliska, a chemical engineer that works
for a company that makes and sells mining equipment. Mr. Brian Pliska graduated with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Chemical Engineering (BSChE) thirty four years ago from Northeastern University.
His alma mater had a really good cooperative education program and he was able to do coops with
Pfizer, General Electric (Plastics Division), and the Harvard School of Public Health. These
experiences had given him a distinct advantage in the job market as a young engineer just out of
school. He was then able to get his current job as a chemical engineer through networking. Someone
Mr. Brian Pliska had worked with before who knew that Mr. Pliska had good work ethics and skills
had an opening in his department and asked if Mr. Brian Pliska would consider working for him. Mr.
Brian Pliska said yes and that was how he was able to get his current job. Mr. Brian Pliska s roles and

Customer Service And Social Media
4.1.5. Customer Service
Another significant benefit social media networks provide to companies is the opportunity to interact
with current and prospects customers. Through pages and profiles on social media, consumers can
leave their feedback quickly and directly to the organisation. Customers can also request information
and reach out to organisation for help and support. The interactive communication fosters a
trustworthy relationship between organisation and its customers. Companies can have one on one
conversation with customers to understand their need and to gather their feedback.
The presence on social media in the form of blog, pages, and profiles allow the customer to have
interactive communication with the representative of organisation. Organisations also get a chance to
listen to their customers and not only solve their issues but to educate them about organisation and its
products or services. Feedback can be of anything such as the experience of using new or existing
product, general feedback regarding brand, complaint and suggestions regarding products or even
company website and advertising. And this in turn allows the companies to evaluate whether they are
meeting the expectation of their customers or not.
In addition to positive suggestion and feedback, companies sometime have to deal with negative
comments. Infect, negative feedback can spread more quickly on social media. Thus, while
developing a social media strategy, company should consider such

We are very sad to hear the news of the Shoreham Air Show crash on the afternoon of Saturday 22

Macrophages Difference Between White Blood Cells And Microbes

infectious microbes. Much of the immune system s work is carried out by an army of various

For me this question shows the real reason for faillure. Most projects focus on producing a rocket
(only focus on delivery). Successful projects however look further: why do we create a rocket?
Because we want to go to the moon. If NASA would have only focussed on delivering rockets, they
would never have reached the moon and probably had produced a great number of disasters while
delivering or using those rockets. A Business Case focus, rather than only a delivery focus!
(By the way off topic: this delivery approach for me also caused the current financial crisis. Only
focussing on the deal, not on the long term effects.)
All reasons summed up in the question above are in my view symptoms and results of the delivery
only approach rather than reasons.

An Intervention Designed Promote Appropriate Classroom...
Mild behavior (Redirection, interrupting, talking while teacher is talking) 1.Token economy (earn
tickets or money for prize or preferred activity) Overview: A token economy is an intervention
designed to promote appropriate classroom behavior. Students are rewarded for selected behaviors
with a token. They have the opportunity to cash in for a desired item or activity once they have earned
a set number of tokens. Tokens may be awarded over a period of time for acceptable effort and work
(Shea Bauer, 2012). The tokens provide immediate feedback for positive behavior and earning
multiple tokens will give more choices of a reward at the designated purchasing or cash in time. The
teacher should determine what behaviors earn students a token (i.e. raising a quiet hand). The desired
behaviors are explained to students using positive terms and posted where they are easily visible. A
physical token should be chosen, such as a raffle ticket or paper coin. Students should be aware of
what they are able to buy with their tokens (i.e. pencils, extra break time). The prizes should be based
on student interests. Para Use of Strategy: Paraprofessionals can provide input on target behaviors
based on observations. Once the teacher has gone over the rules with students, paras can help enforce
the intervention by reminding students of the rules and distributing tokens as students earn them. The
tokens should be given directly following an appropriate behavior.

Conquest Of Aztecs Essay
Within the religious aspect of the Western Civilization, there were specific omens reported after the
Conquest of Aztec. Most of the omes were disasters and people didn t know whether to believe them
or not, according to the document Omens of Doom. An example of a religious omen recorded was
Omen 1. In this omen it was said that: According to legend, the Aztecs believed that the god
Quetzalcoatl had sailed east to join the sun god, warning that he would later return to reclaim his
kingdom. The Aztecs believed that this could occur in the year One Reed (1519) and that god could
take on many different forms. Including a pale skinned, bearded man. When Moctezuma first met
Cortez, Cortez went to show his grattitude when all of a sudden Moctezuma s two guards stopped him.
Moctezuma was not allowed to be touched. When Cortez was able to speak with Moctezuma he took

A report on how current provision and practice is...
Each one of the early years educators has played an important role in setting the foundations that is the
basis of the main curriculum s and foundation frameworks in schools today. Maria Montessori
believed in independence in nurseries and that children should be taught to use their senses first rather
than just educating their intellect with subjects such as maths and science. These of course came later
in the children s education but the main focus within her nurseries was to develop observational skills
through the environment and learning outdoors, and to provide the children with carefully organised
preparatory activities rather than repetition as a means of developing competence in skills. Montessori
believed children should be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These are very much practical based activities and many are still carried on in schools today such as
learning to play an instrument. This is seen as an important activity for children in the early years and
lessons and clubs for this are seen as mainstream activities. Steiner believed that education should be
designed to suit the changing needs of a child as they develop mentally, physically and emotionally.
This can be seen in the current practices and provisions as there are different levels and stages of
which a child can progress through at their own pace, such as the stepping stones in the birth to three
matters and foundation stage curriculum. Each individual child is encouraged within their own
abilities to progress with their education and onto the next levels of development and learning within
today s practices, and Steiner s approach has therefore been influential on many areas of the early year
s education. His ideas on allowing children to be taught by the same teacher for up to seven years have
been adopted in some ways by secondary schools as a class is given the same form tutor for up to five
years and then another for two years if they progress to higher education. He believed this was an
effective way of giving children stability within schools, and the tutors would almost be like main
carers for the children until they left school.

I Want To Become A Sports Medicine Doctor
Everyone wants to know what they want to do when they grow up. Some people don t know what it is
they re really interested in until their senior year of high school and only a few actually know before

what I need to get there, what I want to do, and where I want to end up. My goal is that I would like to
accomplish getting into an amazing college to learn about sports medicine, then become a sports
medicine doctor. First of all, I plan on going to a great college to study sports medicine and become a
sports medicine doctor, but in order to get into an admirable college I have to have a couple traits. One
characteristic that s important to have when getting into a decent college is excellent grades and
proper study habits. In addition, I should have to get into college is motivation, motivation is a good
quality to have because it means you want to work harder so that you can become better. Lastly, I feel
is important to have is responsibility, a student should always be responsible for his or her actions and

Analysis Of Peter Pan
Discovering that every child has to grow up at some point of time is the main idea or purpose behind
the famous story of Peter Pan. Though there are different versions of the story, each one generally has
the same outcome. Analyzing two different interpretations of Peter Pan , the Disney illusion and the
original, by James M. Barrie, it is to be learned that the Disney animation simply brings the story to
life, adds a different outlook on it as opposed to simple olden version. With new color, animation and
modern day thought the Disney story creates a different playing of Peter Pan .
In Disney s version of Peter Pan , Disney left out many gruesome facts in their version of the story. In
the original Peter Peter by, James M. Barrie in 1904, Peter was a young boy who lived amidst fairies
and would escort dead children half of the way to wherever they need to go. One night, Mrs. Darling
sees Peter in the nursery, contrast to the cartoon where the parents are not important characters, and
she is able to catch his shadow, roll it up, and hold it in a drawer so that she can attempt to catch the
boy. She barely remembers this boy from stories told when she was younger. When Peter returns for
his shadow when the parents are away, he mistakenly awakes Wendy. He tells Wendy about Neverland
and the Lost Boys, who happen to be young babies in which had fallen out of their carriages and were
sadly never found again. Wendy along with her brothers fly with Peter to Neverland,

Empathy In Harvest Gypsies
A Heart Behind Words
Authors empower our understanding of the world through compassion and empathy. Meaning to make
readers share and understand the feelings of another. In Harvest Gypsies by John Steinbeck the author
informs of two families and their tussles for survival. In the same manner, Kevin Starr in his excerpt
titled Endangered Dreams tells of a family and their daily troubles. Both taken place during the great
depression they both depict the hardships of migrant families trapped in poverty. While Dorothea
Lange helped readers perceive the poor living conditions of the 1900 s through her photo, John
Steinbeck helped evoke the most empathy through his descriptiveness, straightforward style, and
listing of dramatic events.
To begin with, Lange helped perceive the poor living conditions of the 1900 s through her photo of the
migrant mother and three children. For instance, Lange with her photo of the migrant mother helped
raise awareness, for the federal government gave the pea pickers camp, where the migrant mother had
been distinguished, twenty thousand pounds of food . (Starr 48) The photo of the unfortunate pea
pickers helped people realize how hopeless they really were. This creating a willingness to help.
Showing Lange s photography ability to create empathy through a simple photo. In addition, the
mother was so desperate for help that when the picture was taking place, there she sat in the lean to
tent motionless. (Starr 47) The migrant mother was so

Persuasive Speech On Deforestation
Over half of the world s forests have been destroyed in the last 10,000 years. An extensive fire that
destroys a great deal of land or property could be thought to help benefit the economic or
environmental aspects of daily life, but the society is clueless on the harm it is causing. Nearly half of
the Earth s original forest cover has already been lost and each year an additional 32 million acres are
destroyed. Our world is facing the greatest extinction crisis since the fall of the dinosaurs, 65 million
years ago. The future of many of Earth s plants and animals will be determined within the next few
decades. Hopefully, it comes as no great surprise to you that deforestation is a major problem in many

deforestation happens to a country that you live in it can have a huge impact, These deforested areas
almost always end up as wastelands via the processes of soil erosion and desertification, if they aren t

David and Goliath Analysis Essay
David and Goliath Analysis In the story David and Goliath there is a great lesson to be learned. The
story shows that you should never underestimate your opponent and be prepared for anything. David s
own intellect and knowledge of his own abilities enabled him to become the smaller, but stronger
opponent. It all comes down to who is the better leader. David was a young shepherd boy who
watched over the sheep while feeding and keeping them safe from the lions and bears. While watching
the sheep David would spend many moments speaking to God and playing a harp. David s brothers
were at the battlefield and one day he was sent to the battle lines by his father to bring back news of
his brothers. (Fairchild, 2012) David was not afraid ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

mistakes. He underestimated David s ability and failed to move out of the way of the rock. If you are

own intellect and knowledge of his own abilities made Goliath the smaller, but stronger opponent.
This story can be related to the difference between WW1 and WW2. During WW1 trench warfare was
used. Trench warfare is a ditch dug out of the ground to give troops protection from the enemies. The
soldiers used machine guns, mustard and chlorine gases and smokeless gunpowder to ward off the
enemy. Machine guns were the main weapons used by soldiers. However they needed 4 6 men to man
them (Tasker, 2012) and had to be positioned on a flat surfaces. When the mustard and chlorine gases
were released the soldiers had to take great precaution to not breathe it in because the result is
immediate death. These trenches also carried many diseases and rats making it a harsh condition for
soldiers. By the time of WW2 also known as the Cold War the atomic bomb was invented. The atomic
bomb has the ability to take out an entire city. Russia and the U.S. achieve nuclear equality

Comparing Anthem, The Fountainhead And Atlas Shrugged
The Triumphant Characters of Anthem, The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged
In reading the fiction works of Ayn Rand, one becomes quickly aware of her use of characterization to
display a set of mores that apply to a group in today s society she is describing. In Anthem, for
instance, even the names hold significance toward the point of the story. The name Liberty 5 3000, a
gross smear of the philosophy of her world, becomes The Golden One, and then Gaea in the eyes of
the protagonist. This use of a name, a face, to convey the message of a group becomes a common
thread through all four of Miss Rand s novels. The Fountainhead is no exception. Though the names
don t have quite the amount of significance, the characters presented are ... Show more content on

Why are you saying this to me? That s not what you want to say. That s not what you did.
That s why I m saying it! Because that s what I did!
Though Miss Rand s true thoughts about these two characters are known only to her, it comes across
to the reader that Henry had everything except that total honesty to oneself that is required of an artist
of skill. He tried to save Roark from what he saw as a certain fate: his own.
To an observant reader, Peter Keating and Ellsworth Toohey have the most interesting interplay in the
book. A fine example of this can be found on page 60 where Peter says to Katie:
You see, Katie, you don t know me. I m the kind that uses people. I don t want to use you.
This is a sad commentary on the political system if there ever was one. The question who is using who
constantly comes to mind when lines of this sort between characters of this sort show up in Miss Rand
s pages. Peter spends the part of his life covered by this story as a tool of the likes of Toohey, and he
still has the audacity to think that he is in power.
At this point in the book, however, little does the reader realize Toohey s power with people. The
scene where Peter tells Toohey that he sold Dominique shows a very clear picture of a broken man
facing Toohey, his breaker :
You re the only friend I ve got. I ... I m not even friendly with myself, but you are. With me, I mean,
aren t you, Ellsworth?

The Development of Marketing and the Marketing Process
Having a well planned out strategy created by your marketing team is essential to your organization s
success. IT will help you to achieve that goals that you set for the organization and help in attaining
the profitability that every business person wants to achieve.
But before we get into how marketing came about and how it evolved we have to understand what
marketing is and what marketing has made marketing as we know it today. According to the American
Marketing Association, marketing is the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating,
communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners,
and society at large (American Marketing Association, 2013, para. 1) With that being said marketing
really started to show up in the early 1900 s when people started to realize that there was a correlation
between buying power and demand. In addition to the correlation it was realized that buying power
and demand could be manipulated in favor of the seller with the help of advertising. The sellers were
realizing that they could take their products and pare it with a perceived value and more people would
be attracted to it and purchase the products or services.
Well now that we know that sellers could add value to their products

Comparing John Keats s Poem, Ode Of A Nightingale And Ode...
Comparing Keats Picture this: you have been told by doctors that you have a few years left to live.
You will live the rest of your life in increasing pain and difficulty, knowing your death may be right
around the corner. This was the exact situation John Keats faced in 1819 at the age of twenty four.
Upon hearing his diagnosis of tuberculosis, which was considered a death sentence at the time, Keats
decided to dedicate his life to writing poetry. His work is viewed with high esteem and he is
considered one of the great Romantic poets. Two poems Keats wrote in the short time he had left on
earth were Ode to a Nightingale and Ode on a Grecian Urn. These poems both tell different stories
unrelated to one another. Although their stories are unrelated, both Ode to a Nightingale and Ode on a
Grecian Urn have unique tones, structures, and themes that should be examined and compared.
Keats chose to use different tones in Ode to a Nightingale and Ode on a Grecian Urn. Keats used a
melancholic, dreary tone in Ode to a Nightingale. The character in this poem longs to disappear from
his life. He wishes more than anything that he could fly away with the Nightingales and be freed of
the pain and suffering he faces in the real world. Keats uses phrases such as my heart aches, drowsy
numbness pains, fade far away, dissolve, and quite forget, last grey hairs, weariness...fever...fret, and
leaden eye despairs to illustrate the dismal feelings the man experiences

Carrier Mediated Transport
The body can be described as a series of interconnected compartments. Cell membranes are the
barriers among the different compartments. In order for drugs to gain access to the cells, they must
move between the different compartments, more importantly cell membranes, after being
administered. The two most important methods for dealing will cell membrane travel are diffusion
through lipid and carrier mediated transport.
Diffusion through lipid is when non polar molecules can dissolve easily in membrane lipids and thus
diffuse readily across the cell membrane without any assistance. The rate at which a molecule diffuses
strongly depends on it s molecular size; smaller molecules diffuse at a more rapid rate than larger
ones. A drug s lipid solubility is the main determining factor for it s rate of diffusion transfer. ... Show

This type of transport can be divided into two sub groups: solute carrier (SLC) transporters and ATP
binding cassette (ABC) transporters. SLC transporters move solutes passively down their
electrochemical gradient. Uniports are used in this case to carry one molecule at a time across the
membrane. This sub group can be further divided into organic cation transporters (OCT) and organic
anion transporters (OAT). ABC transporters transfer molecules through the membrane through active
pumps fueled by ATP. This is done in order to go against the electrochemical gradient. Antiport,
transport of two molecules together in the opposite direction, and symport, transport of two molecules
together in the same direction, are used coupled with Na+ or other

The Core Of Android Architecture
It is the core of Android architecture that forms the foundation of Android. Linux kernel includes
hardware drivers, power management, memory management, process management and binder driver,
which provides all the fundamental services needed by the system. Although it is called Linux kernel,
it is not a standard Linux kernel; Google has customized it for Android devices. The main difference
between them is the binder driver, which is an Android specific inter process communication
mechanism that enables one Android process to call a procedure in another Android process. Another
major difference is the ashmem module, which is an Android version of shared memory allocator,
similar to Portable Operating System Interface (POSIX) shm but with a simpler file based API. And
also the Power Manager has been enhanced to save battery, which is critical for smartphones.
Libraries
On top of Linux kernel are Libraries, which provide services written in native language like C and
C++. It contains a long list of middle wares that include SQLite, WebKit, SSL, Media, C runtime
library. SQLite is responsible for database, WebKit is for browser support, SSL is used to secure
network transmissions.

Should Politicians Continue To Blame High Gas Prices
The government often times will play the blame game when things are not going according to plan, or
more importantly, according to the government s plan. Since the summer of 2008 when gas prices
reaches a record high or $4.12 a gallon the we ve loved to blame the oil companies and the
government for the increasing prices of gasoline. Who is responsible for high gas prices? Oil
production dropped during the Bush administration but has risen by about 20% during Obama s
presidency, making it clear that domestic oil production has little effect of the price of gasoline. Why
then to politicians continue to blame high gasoline prices on the oil companies? Congress has
restricted the building of oil refineries and the drilling of oil in Alaska offshore for over 15 years.

when Sensei would speak about how an actual dojo has people who are determined with Aikido and
are more serious with Aikido than the regular student in the Aikido course. I could understand what
Sensei meant because I could see the determination and hard work these students have when they do
testing. They put the most effort they can when testing compared to the students in the Aikido course.
The most significant part was that after students finished their test there was encouragement to
applause, and this shows that the students admired each other in their hard work and dedication. This
applause and admiration is not that common in our Aikido course sessions because it is apparent that
people who have determination with Aikido have more enthusiasm and love for it.
I visited the Chushinkan Dojo in Buena Park and learned a little more about Aikido not mainly in
techniques, but how Aikido is viewed in a different setting such as an actual dojo where individuals

Light And Darkness In Macbeth Essay
Throughout the play of Macbeth, the aura of darkness and horror is often presented to the audience in
order to give the atmosphere within the play a dark and tragic tone. In the play, the nature of evil was
the theme used by the Shakespeare in Macbeth. He used certain action filled images to introduce
deception and horror throughout the play. The characters in Macbeth often brought about the images
of blood, darkness, and evil. Many scenes in the play gave the audience hints of occurring
supernatural events, which in the end would lead to the fall of many, like Macbeth, who was nothing
more than a man full of ambitions that showed no respect for the lives of others. Shakespeare s uses

The Debate Of God s Existence
We are raised to follow these old traditions which are passed from generation to generation. We are
told to follow certain norms or otherwise the big guy upstairs will punish us for being disobedient . To
many, believing in God is the only way to live, the reason for the way everything is, and it s the
meaning to life. To others, God, is just a popular view whose existence cannot be proven. While both
Atheist and Agnostics agree on the questioning of God s existence, they disagree on the reasoning of
why thing are the way they are. Agnostics believe in a higher power while Atheists believe in strictly
science. Both points of views made me question if science is really the only explanation for
everything, how people came to believing , and the effects of believing in a higher power. Although it
is true, there is no evidence to prove God s existence, why not live a good moral live regardless of the
existence of a higher power or not?
The main argument we are presented with is whether God exists or not. One argues that there is no
evidence to prove its existence while the other one argues that we aren t capable enough to understand
the philosophical mysteries of the universe. One point of view we see is an atheist. Atheists argue that
there is absolutely no scientific evidence for his existence and from what they have heard the
definition of God is a logical impossibility in this known universe therefore, God does not exists. To

The Path Of An Instructional Designer Because
When I joined the United State Air Force in 2004, I quickly learned how easy it is to pass the blame. I
noticed early in my military career, that broken processes were often ignored. Meanwhile, the person
at the tactical level of the process was blamed for the result. After all the punishments are dealt out,
new employees are assigned to the project, and all the smoke clears, the same problems seem to
persist. When I suspect a process is inefficient, I feel a strong urge to find out why these issues exist
and then find solutions. This is often a pursuit that puts me at odds with some supervisors, but
cherished by some subordinates. It s not hard for me to recognize that most employees want to excel at

Teaching students to work on the B 52 aircraft in Minot, North Dakota during the dead of winter bears
some unique challenges. It takes a strong leadership ability to motivate students to perform hands on
task while enduring 30 degree below zero temperatures. In the Air Force s Non Commissioned Officer
Academy (NCOA) I was awarded the Distinguished Graduate for displaying that level of leadership.
I feel that underneath all the positional authorities of leadership, the true test is the ability to empower
people. This is the reason why I want to not only learn how to use technology in an education setting;
I also want to improve the lives of students with leadership. I believe that the educational technology
leadership program at George Washington University is the only program that perfectly meshes the
two together. In my opinion, human performance is the key to learning. However, it seems as though
education sometimes focuses on the information that needs to be taught instead of the outcomes. Dr.
Watkins publication highlighted this theory in previous work by Robert Mager. Watkins (2010) stated
instructional designers should move beyond determining what instructors should teach; rather, they
should focus on understanding what learners should be able to do as a result of the instruction.
Technology can serve as an excellent starting point for student centered learning.
Technology and leadership are the two elements that draw me to this program. There are

Thomas Jefferson and James Madison were the first voices to introduce this concept to oppose the

how more and more children don t know, agree with or understand what s wrong. He described how
one day when he was a little boy he sighed and turned his back on his mother when she was asking his
to do something and he was spanked by his father for the first and only time in his life.
I was taught at a very young age to always respect my elders and to never talk back (of course there
are certain circumstances to where that doesn t apply). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Your job is to provide, teach and support your children. More specifically, to teach them how to be
able to function in the world. This means teaching them how to behave respectfully to others, not just
you. If you re not a single parent home or if you have help from others it is especially important for
you guys to be on the same page on how to teach what you need to and how discipline works into the
situation because if not, more than likely the first thing the child or children will do is try to pin you
guys against each other (I say this because that is what me and my siblings tried to do...it only worked
once). It s good to catch disrespectful behavior early if possible. If your child is rude or disrespectful,
it s not good to turn a blind eye. Giving consequences when children are younger will pay off in the
long run. It may sound old fashioned, but I find that it s very important to teach your child basic
manners like saying please , may I and thank you. If you think about it, when your child deals with
their teachers, others outside the household or even gets their first job these common manners will
really go a long way and using manners is also a form of empathy. It also teaches your children to
respect others and acknowledge their impact on other people. As a parent myself (though my child is
still young but I have raised others) I also find it a good idea to communicate

Effects Of Hiv-1 Pathogenesis
In the absence of a cure for HIV Type 1 (HIV 1) pathogenesis, highly active antiretroviral therapy
(HAART) are designed to suppress viral replication and maintain it at low to undetectable levels
(Prabu Jeyabalan et al, 2002). Due to their high intrinsic antiviral activity, the introduction of HIV 1
protease inhibitors (PIs) have led to a dramatic reduction in morbidity and mortality rates of HIV 1
infected patients (Codoner et al, 2017). HIV 1 protease inhibitors are peptidomimetics, or substrate or
transition state analogs that mimic natural peptides or proteins and retain the ability to interact with
the original protein s biological target, that competitively targets the hydrophobic P2 P2 domain in the
active site (Prabu Jeyabalan et ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Proteolytic processing of the Gag polyprotein results mature HIV 1 structural proteins: p17 matrix
(MA), p24 capsid (CA), p7 nucleocapsid (NC), p6 domains, and two spacer peptides, SP1 and SP2.
Each of these HIV 1 structural proteins play a crucial role in the HIV 1 retroviral replication cycle.
MA is responsible for targeting Gag to the plasma membrane and promoting the incorporation of viral
envelop glycoproteins into the forming virions; CA drives Gag multimerization during assembly to
form the Gag lattice that encapsidates the viral RNA genome; NC recruits the viral RNA genome into
the virions; and the p6 domain recruits the endosomal sorting complex required for transport (ESCRT)
apparatus that catalyzes the membrane fission step responsible for the budding off of new virions from
the infected cell (Freed, 2015).
Due to the infidelity of HIV 1 reverse transcriptase, HIV 1 protease, as with all other HIV proteins,
undergoes frequent mutation (Prabu Jeyabalan et al, 2002). Despite the high genetic barrier, or
sufficient number of critical drug resistance mutations to overcome the anti HIV activity of a drug
regimen, of PI, selective pressure induced by PIs have been seen to be associated with drug resistance
mutations at both the active site of HIV 1 protease and Gag polyprotein (Codoner et al,

An important point inside Phillis Wheatley s story, Thoughts on the works of Providence, is that God is visible in a number of things in nature. But, however, we must open our eyes and soul to actually see it. She refers to the Sun a lot in the poem, and it subjects how big God is and his abilities, not just representation. Her thoughts are that the sun is able to provide for the things on earth, such as humans, plants, and a number of things. For instance, Wheatley s states that, So far beneath from Him the extended earth, vigor derives, and every flowery births. It s a metaphoric statement that implies God is represented by the sun therefore giving life to everything on planet earth and more. Her use of symbolism also gives a great representation ... This objective ensures the college does not bear a debt and honours the Franciscan value simplicity. A featured Roll Call ensures the third objective will be attained. Furthermore, goal four is to increase attendance. Hence, the P F recommend the inclusion of a registry for it allows us to compare the attendance of the 60th anniversary celebration to that of the 50th event. As a final point, objective five is to eliminate neighbourhood disturbance. This can be measured by complaints from locals concerning the event. The Mount Alvernia Parents and Friends Support Network has conducted a survey regarding the scope of the event. It is important the survey feedback dictates the planning of the event to maximise attendance. Therefore, the survey was sent to 43 members of the target market. A garden party was voted the ideal event by 56% of surveyed students. He makes himself sound very good when he tells nick everything in the car. Nick was sort of shocked by how successful he is or was. Jay is not keeping his past from society; he s more open with it. People decide to make up these rumors because Gatsby was never really noticed by anyone to be able to tell the truth about everything he s done in his past. Nick thinks Gatsby is great because he was able to create a new identity for himself when he needed to be someone else. Gatsby s strive to accomplish things amazes Nick. Gatsby focused on a goal of winning Daisy, and he did whatever was necessary to accomplish it. Gatsby never quits from his goal and dream of winning Daisy, and even in reality, his strive is admirable , and somewhat misunderstood. All Gatsby wanted was to be with Daisy, and for her he moved up so he could be equal to her in the same status. So that she would notice him and would return the feelings back to Gatsby. I think Nick saw Gatsby as great because of the things he achieved and the way he achieved it. Although Gatsby was not from old money he made it seem like he was from old money. Plath and Sexton s lifetimes spanned a period of remarkable change in the social role of women in America, and both are obviously feminist poets caught somewhere between the submissive pasts of their mothers and the liberated futures awaiting their daughters. Mr. Brian Pliska graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering (BSChE) thirty four years ago from Northeastern University. His alma mater had a really good cooperative education program and he was able to do coops with Pfizer, General Electric (Plastics Division), and the Harvard School of Public Health. These experiences had given him a distinct advantage in the job market as a young engineer just out of school. He was then able to get his current job as a chemical engineer through networking. Someone Mr. Brian Pliska had worked with before who knew that Mr. Pliska had good work ethics and skills had an opening in his department and asked if Mr. Brian Pliska would consider working for him. Mild behavior (Redirection, interrupting, talking while teacher is talking) 1.Token economy (earn tickets or money for prize or preferred activity) Overview: A token economy is an intervention designed to promote appropriate classroom behavior. Students are rewarded for selected behaviors with a token. They have the opportunity to cash in for a desired item or activity once they have earned a set number of tokens. Tokens may be awarded over a period of time for acceptable effort and work (Shea Bauer, 2012). The tokens provide immediate feedback for positive behavior and earning multiple tokens will give more choices of a reward at the designated purchasing or cash in time. The teacher should determine what behaviors earn students a token (i.e. raising a quiet hand). The desired behaviors are explained to students using positive terms and posted where they are easily visible. A physical token should be chosen, such as a raffle ticket or paper coin. Students should be aware of what they are able to buy with their tokens (i.e. pencils, extra break time). The prizes should be based on student interests. Para Use of Strategy: Paraprofessionals can provide input on target behaviors based on observations. Once the teacher has gone over the rules with students, paras can help enforce the intervention by reminding students of the rules and distributing tokens as students earn them. The tokens should be given directly following an appropriate behavior. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

These are very much practical based activities and many are still carried on in schools today such as learning to play an instrument. This is seen as an important activity for children in the early years and lessons and clubs for this are seen as mainstream activities. Steiner believed that education should be designed to suit the changing needs of a child as they develop mentally, physically and emotionally. This can be seen in the current practices and provisions as there are different levels and stages of which a child can progress through at their own pace, such as the stepping stones in the birth to three matters and foundation stage curriculum. Each individual child is encouraged within their own abilities to progress with their education and onto the next levels of development and learning within today s practices, and Steiner s approach has therefore been influential on many areas of the early year s education. His ideas on allowing children to be taught by the same teacher for up to seven years have been adopted in some ways by secondary schools as a class is given the same form tutor for up to five years and then another for two years if they progress to higher education. He believed this was an effective way of giving children stability within schools, and the tutors would almost be like main carers for the children until they left school. Comparing Anthem, The Fountainhead And Atlas Shrugged The Triumphant Characters of Anthem, The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged In reading the fiction works of Ayn Rand, one becomes quickly aware of her use of characterization to display a set of mores that apply to a group in today s society she is describing. In Anthem, for instance, even the names hold significance toward the point of the story. The name Liberty 5 3000, a gross smear of the philosophy of her world, becomes The Golden One, and then Gaea in the eyes of the protagonist. He tried to save Roark from what he saw as a certain fate: his own. To an observant reader, Peter Keating and Ellsworth Toohey have the most interesting interplay in the book. A fine example of this can be found on page 60 where Peter says to Katie: You see, Katie, you don t know me. I m the kind that uses people. I don t want to use you. IT will help you to achieve that goals that you set for the organization and help in attaining the profitability that every business person wants to achieve. • 30. Comparing John Keats s Poem, Ode Of A Nightingale And Ode... Comparing Keats Picture this: you have been told by doctors that you have a few years left to live. You will live the rest of your life in increasing pain and difficulty, knowing your death may be right around the corner. This was the exact situation John Keats faced in 1819 at the age of twenty four. Upon hearing his diagnosis of tuberculosis, which was considered a death sentence at the time, Keats decided to dedicate his life to writing poetry. His work is viewed with high esteem and he is considered one of the great Romantic poets. Two poems Keats wrote in the short time he had left on earth were Ode to a Nightingale and Ode on a Grecian Urn. These poems both tell different stories unrelated to one another. Although their stories are unrelated, both Ode to a Nightingale and Ode on a Grecian Urn have unique tones, structures, and themes that should be examined and compared. Keats chose to use different tones in Ode to a Nightingale and Ode on a Grecian Urn. Keats used a melancholic, dreary tone in Ode to a Nightingale. The character in this poem longs to disappear from his life. He wishes more than anything that he could fly away with the Nightingales and be freed of the pain and suffering he faces in the real world. In order for drugs to gain access to the cells, they must move between the different compartments, more importantly cell membranes, after being administered. The two most important methods for dealing will cell membrane travel are diffusion through lipid and carrier mediated transport. Diffusion through lipid is when non polar molecules can dissolve easily in membrane lipids and thus diffuse readily across the cell membrane without any assistance. Another major difference is the ashmem module, which is an Android version of shared memory allocator, similar to Portable Operating System Interface (POSIX) shm but with a simpler file based API. And also the Power Manager has been enhanced to save battery, which is critical for smartphones. Libraries On top of Linux kernel are Libraries, which provide services written in native language like C and C++. It contains a long list of middle wares that include SQLite, WebKit, SSL, Media, C runtime library. SQLite is responsible for database, WebKit is for browser support, SSL is used to secure network transmissions. Android Runtime This layer contains core libraries and Dalvik Virtual Machine (DVM), which are needed to run Android applications. DVM is the Android implementation of Java Virtual Machine (JVM), which optimized for mobile apps for less memory consumption and better performance. DVM was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Should Politicians Continue To Blame High Gas Prices The government often times will play the blame game when things are not going according to plan, or more importantly, according to the government s plan. Since the summer of 2008 when gas prices reaches a record high or $4.12 a gallon the we ve loved to blame the oil companies and the government for the increasing prices of gasoline. Who is responsible for high gas prices? Oil production dropped during the Bush administration but has risen by about 20% during Obama s presidency, making it clear that domestic oil production has little effect of the price of gasoline. Why then to politicians continue to blame high gasoline prices on the oil companies? Congress has restricted the building of oil refineries and the drilling of oil in Alaska offshore for over 15 years. These restrictions have greatly reduced the supply of domestic oil. The ... A reduction in the amount of gasoline companies supply, also meaning a shortage on consumers could be cause by a windfall profit tax. A windfall tax is a tax levied by governments again certain industries when economic conditions allow those industries to experience above average profits. (Tax, n.d.) These type taxes are primarily imposed on companies in the targeted business that have advanced the most from economic windfall, or product based businesses. While most people think there are no benefits from imposing any taxes, there are benefits of a windfall tax, including: proceeds being precisely used by governments to boost funding for social programs, and many believe profits can be reinvested and used to stimulate innovation that will advance society as a full. I did have general observations of the dojo, the class, the instructor, and the training. There were techniques I recognized and a new Aikido concept I have not experienced before. There was a technique I found interesting. There was not much a difference in learning from CSUF and the dojo. The most interesting part of my visit was watching students test. In the Aikido course I remember when Sensei would speak about how an actual dojo has people who are determined with Aikido and are more serious with Aikido than the regular student in the Aikido course. I could understand what Sensei meant because I could see the determination and hard work these students have when they do testing. They put the most effort they can when testing compared to the students in the Aikido course. The most significant part was that after students finished their test there was encouragement to applause, and this shows that the students admired each other in their hard work and dedication. This applause and admiration is not that common in our Aikido course sessions because it is apparent that people who have determination with Aikido have more enthusiasm and love for it. I visited the Chushinkan Dojo in Buena Park and learned a little more about Aikido not mainly in techniques, but how Aikido is viewed in a different setting such as an actual dojo where individuals are serious with Aikido. There were techniques I recognized and a new Aikido concept I have not experienced before. I admire how Aikido is usually done not for profit but for sharing Aikido with others, which is seen when the dojo is in a community center. The dojo visit was actually an interesting experience ... • 37. Light And Darkness In Macbeth Essay Throughout the play of Macbeth, the aura of darkness and horror is often presented to the audience in order to give the atmosphere within the play a dark and tragic tone. In the play, the nature of evil was the theme used by the Shakespeare in Macbeth. He used certain action filled images to introduce deception and horror throughout the play. The characters in Macbeth often brought about the images of blood, darkness, and evil. Many scenes in the play gave the audience hints of occurring supernatural events, which in the end would lead to the fall of many, like Macbeth, who was nothing more than a man full of ambitions that showed no respect for the lives of others. • 39. The Debate Of God s Existence We are raised to follow these old traditions which are passed from generation to generation. We are told to follow certain norms or otherwise the big guy upstairs will punish us for being disobedient . To many, believing in God is the only way to live, the reason for the way everything is, and it s the meaning to life. To others, God, is just a popular view whose existence cannot be proven. While both Atheist and Agnostics agree on the questioning of God s existence, they disagree on the reasoning of why thing are the way they are. Agnostics believe in a higher power while Atheists believe in strictly science. Both points of views made me question if science is really the only explanation for everything, how people came to believing , and the effects of believing in a higher power. Although it is true, there is no evidence to prove God s existence, why not live a good moral live regardless of the existence of a higher power or not? The main argument we are presented with is whether God exists or not. One argues that there is no evidence to prove its existence while the other one argues that we aren t capable enough to understand the philosophical mysteries of the universe. One point of view we see is an atheist. Atheists argue that there is absolutely no scientific evidence for his existence and from what they have heard the definition of God is a logical impossibility in this known universe therefore, God does not exists. • 40. The Path Of An Instructional Designer Because When I joined the United State Air Force in 2004, I quickly learned how easy it is to pass the blame. I noticed early in my military career, that broken processes were often ignored. Meanwhile, the person at the tactical level of the process was blamed for the result. After all the punishments are dealt out, new employees are assigned to the project, and all the smoke clears, the same problems seem to persist. When I suspect a process is inefficient, I feel a strong urge to find out why these issues exist and then find solutions. This is often a pursuit that puts me at odds with some supervisors, but cherished by some subordinates. It s not hard for me to recognize that most employees want to excel at their jobs. Unfortunately, their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Teaching students to work on the B 52 aircraft in Minot, North Dakota during the dead of winter bears some unique challenges. It takes a strong leadership ability to motivate students to perform hands on task while enduring 30 degree below zero temperatures. In the Air Force s Non Commissioned Officer Academy (NCOA) I was awarded the Distinguished Graduate for displaying that level of leadership. I feel that underneath all the positional authorities of leadership, the true test is the ability to empower people. This is the reason why I want to not only learn how to use technology in an education setting; I also want to improve the lives of students with leadership. I believe that the educational technology leadership program at George Washington University is the only program that perfectly meshes the two together. In my opinion, human performance is the key to learning. However, it seems as though education sometimes focuses on the information that needs to be taught instead of the outcomes. Dr. Watkins publication highlighted this theory in previous work by Robert Mager. Watkins (2010) stated instructional designers should move beyond determining what instructors should teach; rather, they should focus on understanding what learners should be able to do as a result of the instruction. Technology can serve as an excellent starting point for student centered learning. Technology and leadership are the two elements that draw me to this program. There are ... Thomas Jefferson and James Madison were the first voices to introduce this concept to oppose the alien and sedition acts. The convention in New England saw that it was protection against federal intrusion on citizen s territories and their rights. The Crisis started in May of 1828 during the presidency of Andrew Jackson, which caused problems between north and South Carolina and the federal government.when Andrew Jackson came to office in 1828, the relationship between the North and the South was tenuous. When Andrew Jackson was elected as President of the United States, the American people saw him as the everyman because he was the voice of the democratic party. The Tariff of 1832, despite pleas from Southern representatives, failed to moderate the protective barriers erected in earlier legislation. South Carolina passed an ordinance of nullification on November 24, 1832, and threatened to secede if the federal government attempted to collect those tariff duties. Robert Hayne and John Calhoun had resigned from their original positions in office. These two men were the leaders of the nullification drive. • 42. Jerry Tello Analysis The presentation that Jerry Tello gave was like none I ve been to before. It was very entertaining and informational all at once. There were a few parts that really struck a cord for me, but I m going to focus on one particular one because I understand and relate to it and I find it extremely irritated by how more and more children don t know, agree with or understand what s wrong. He described how one day when he was a little boy he sighed and turned his back on his mother when she was asking his to do something and he was spanked by his father for the first and only time in his life. I was taught at a very young age to always respect my elders and to never talk back (of course there are certain circumstances to where that doesn t apply). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Your job is to provide, teach and support your children. More specifically, to teach them how to be able to function in the world. This means teaching them how to behave respectfully to others, not just you. If you re not a single parent home or if you have help from others it is especially important for you guys to be on the same page on how to teach what you need to and how discipline works into the situation because if not, more than likely the first thing the child or children will do is try to pin you guys against each other (I say this because that is what me and my siblings tried to do...it only worked once). It s good to catch disrespectful behavior early if possible. If your child is rude or disrespectful, it s not good to turn a blind eye. Giving consequences when children are younger will pay off in the long run. It may sound old fashioned, but I find that it s very important to teach your child basic manners like saying please , may I and thank you. If you think about it, when your child deals with their teachers, others outside the household or even gets their first job these common manners will really go a long way and using manners is also a form of empathy. It also teaches your children to respect others and acknowledge their impact on other people. Effects Of Hiv-1 Pathogenesis In the absence of a cure for HIV Type 1 (HIV 1) pathogenesis, highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) are designed to suppress viral replication and maintain it at low to undetectable levels (Prabu Jeyabalan et al, 2002). Due to their high intrinsic antiviral activity, the introduction of HIV 1 protease inhibitors (PIs) have led to a dramatic reduction in morbidity and mortality rates of HIV 1 infected patients (Codoner et al, 2017). HIV 1 protease inhibitors are peptidomimetics, or substrate or transition state analogs that mimic natural peptides or proteins and retain the ability to interact with the original protein s biological target, that competitively targets the hydrophobic P2 P2 domain in the active site (Prabu Jeyabalan et ... Proteolytic processing of the Gag polyprotein results mature HIV 1 structural proteins: p17 matrix (MA), p24 capsid (CA), p7 nucleocapsid (NC), p6 domains, and two spacer peptides, SP1 and SP2. Each of these HIV 1 structural proteins play a crucial role in the HIV 1 retroviral replication cycle. MA is responsible for targeting Gag to the plasma membrane and promoting the incorporation of viral envelop glycoproteins into the forming virions; CA drives Gag multimerization during assembly to form the Gag lattice that encapsidates the viral RNA genome; NC recruits the viral RNA genome into the virions; and the p6 domain recruits the endosomal sorting complex required for transport (ESCRT) apparatus that catalyzes the membrane fission step responsible for the budding off of new virions from the infected cell (Freed, 2015). Due to the infidelity of HIV 1 reverse transcriptase, HIV 1 protease, as with all other HIV proteins, undergoes frequent mutation (Prabu Jeyabalan et al, 2002). Despite the high genetic barrier, or sufficient number of critical drug resistance mutations to overcome the anti HIV activity of a drug regimen, of PI, selective pressure induced by PIs have been seen to be associated with drug resistance mutations at both the active site of HIV 1 protease and Gag polyprotein (Codoner et al, ...
