Important Of Education Essay
Writing an essay on the importance of education may seem like a straightforward task, given the
significance of the topic. However, delving into the intricacies and capturing the essence of
education's multifaceted impact can be challenging. The difficulty lies not in the scarcity of
information but rather in the need to distill a vast array of perspectives and insights into a
coherent and compelling narrative.
To begin with, the importance of education spans various dimensions – social, economic,
cultural, and personal. One must navigate through historical perspectives, contemporary
challenges, and future implications to provide a comprehensive view. The essay should not
merely list the benefits of education but should delve into the nuances of how education
transforms individuals and societies.
Moreover, crafting a compelling essay requires striking a balance between the general and the
specific. While discussing overarching themes, the writer must also bring in concrete examples
and real-world scenarios to illustrate the tangible impact of education. This involves thorough
research to gather relevant data and anecdotes that resonate with the readers.
Furthermore, addressing the diversity of opinions on what constitutes a well-rounded education
adds another layer of complexity. The essay must acknowledge different cultural and
philosophical viewpoints while articulating a coherent argument for the universal importance of
education. Balancing these diverse perspectives demands finesse and a nuanced understanding of
the subject matter.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the importance of education is not just about compiling facts
and figures. It requires weaving a narrative that captures the essence of education's
transformative power while acknowledging its complexities. It's a task that demands a careful
blend of research, critical thinking, and effective communication.

Analysis Of Elizabeth Barrett Browning s Sonnets Of The...
All literature reflects the values, attitudes and beliefs of the context of construction.
Thus, this means that whenever we study any text, we must develop a deep
understanding of how the context impacts upon the purpose of the texts and the
writers intended discourses. The comparative study of Elizabeth Barrett Browning s
sonnets of the Portuguese and Scott Fitzgerald s Pros fiction The Great Gatsbyallow
for a thorough evaluation of the relationship between the texts contexts and values.
Both composers craft arguments on the nature of and value of life itself within the
framework of love and spirituality. Browning, however writes from the perspective of
a woman challenging values of the conventions of the Victorian era. Whilst,
Fitzgerald construct s his text as an indictment on the emerging hedonistic and
capitalist creed of 1920 s America the Jazz Age. As we will move through the texts,
the writer s context will influence their discourses and hence the meaning and
significance we derive from each text. Mortality:
Both Gatsby and the sonnets provide commentary on the meaning and value of life
itself. The composers articulate a number of arguments on human mortality and what
does and doesn t constitute a waste of human life. ( I will change the parts I have
highlighted)
The Great Gatsby presents most of the characters using immoral and corrupt means to
achieve their American dream. This results in the physical/metaphorical death of a
being. Contextually, The Great

Implementing the Ramsar Convention in Developing Countries: The Role of Local
Community Support and Involvement
Over the last two decades, a consensus has gradually emerged that long term
conservation depends on understanding and support from those closely connected to
the environment and its resources (Shine, Klemm, 1999.) Several international
environmental conventions have reflected this consensus by establishing a legal
basis to involve local communities, especially those in developing countries, in their
implementation. Recent changes in the focus of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands
are consistent with this global trend towards emphasizing the importance of
community support and involvement. Adopted in Ramsar, Iran on... Show more

By contrasting and comparing case studies in developing countries with varying
degrees of wetland conservation success, it is clear that local community involvement
and support of conservation is critical to success. Acknowledging this, those sites
with unsuccessful wetland conservation have begun to plan initiatives to promote
community participation and support.
This study focuses solely on wetland conservation in developing countries, where
lifestyles and lack of government capacity make community support and involvement
in wetland conservation policies and practices particularly important. People in the
developing world are more closely connected to the environment than those in
developed countries. Since they rely more directly on the extraction of natural
resources and use of natural services for their sustenance and economy, their lifestyles
have a more direct impact on the immediate ecosystem. Given that all countries, but
especially developing countries...need to enhance their internal capacity to manage
their environmental protection and sustainable development, a lack of national and
state government capacity results in a greater need for the support and involvement
of local communities in wetland conservation (Susskind, et al. 2002). Since
developing country governments may not have the finances, institutions, or
knowledge to strictly enforce their wetland conservation policies, community policy
support is

2. Encryption
It is process of encoding information/message in a way that only permitted parties
receive the messages. In this message is encrypted as plaintext by using encryption
algorithm and the which generate ciphertext which can only be read when decrypted
by using right encryption key. Encryption is a part of cryptography.
In above diagram , plaintext in first encrypted using encryption algorithm and it
produces ciphertext and this message can only be decrypted by authorize party who
has the right encryption key so in above diagram the encoded message is decrypted
and plaintext is received.
By making data encrypted, it become difficult for attacker to read data because of
the absence of correct encryption key because when attacker have the encrypted data
then this data is unreadable, this data can only be readable when correct encryption
key is used.
There are many algorithm which are used for encryption and decryption. There are
mainly three types of Encryptions :
1)Secret key cryptography
2)Public Key cryptography
3) With Hash Functionality
Secret key cryptography
In secret key cryptography, same key is used for encryption and decryption. In this
same encryption key is used by both sender and receiver. For example sender uses
key 123 for encryption then receiver also have to use same key that

Unforgiven Death Penalty
Capital punishment turns the state into a murderer (Jesse Jackson). The state of
Kansas and many other states allow capital punishment to exist on the grounds of the
United States. Capital punishment also known as death penalty is a subject worth
discussing because of its unjust act upon humans. Capital punishment is an act that
uses racism in many occasion. According to [Justice Department] figures, nearly 80
percent of inmates on federal death roware Black, Hispanic, or from another minority
group (Campaign to End the Death Penalty). In fact racism is still going on today
in the world including the United States. The imposition of the death penalty is
racially biased: Nearly 90% of persons executed were convicted of killing whites,
although people of color make up over half of all homicide victims in the United
States (National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty). Death row in the U.S. has
always held a disproportionately large population of people of color relative to the
general population (ACLU Briefing Paper on the Death Penalty).... Show more

You take away all he s got, and all he s ever gonna have (Clint Eastwood s character
in the movie Unforgiven). Considering that somebody may have killed killing them
is not the solution. Why can t people get to the root of the problem and try to help
them rather then kill them? Capital punishment is society s final assertion that it will
not forgive (Martin Luther King). Capital Punishment does not deter crime. Scientific
studies have consistently failed to demonstrate that executions deter people from
committing crime (Death Penalty Focus). In fact the gov. is using deterrence is the
use of punishment as a threat to deter people from offending which actually is not

Hashimoto Thyroiditis Research Paper
Hashimoto Thyroiditis also known as Hashimoto s disease named after Hakarum
Hashimoto back in 1912, is an Autoimmune Lymphocytic infiltration of the thyroid
gland by antithyroid autoantibodies. It is highly likely for a person to develop
Hypothyroidism as a result of the autoantibodies attacking the thyroid and keeping
the thyroid from producing the amount of hormones our bodies need. As stated in
the Ear, Nose and Throat Journal Approximately 5% of the general population has
hypothyroidism, with Hashimoto thyroiditis the most common cause. (2) The
journal also goes on to say how women are affected disproportionately with a ratio
of 10:1. While there is not a definite cause of Hashimoto s it has been researched
that majority of people who have the disease have a family member who also suffer

How To Train Your Dragon Analysis
How To Train Your Dragon , a 2010 film directed by Dean DeBlois and Chris
Sanders, uses the film codes to enhance the audience s understanding of the film.
How To Train Your Dragon tells the tale of a hapless young Viking named Hiccup,
who befriends a dragon named Toothless. Together, they teach the island of Berk
about acceptance and overcoming differences. While producing the directors used the
film codes to add interest and understandingto the film, enhancing the overall
enjoyment of the film. The character codeallows to better understand the personality
of and have a deeper connection with the characters. Representational code benefits
the audienceby letting them decipher what the character represents. Meanwhile, the
technical code uses film making equipment to give more information about the
characters, scenes and the film in its entirety. The character code enables the audience
to gain a deeper understanding of the characters.
The character code enables the audience to better understand the characters by
offering insight into the personalities of the characters. The character code requires
the audience to analyse the character s speech to better understand the character s
personality, actions and behaviour. This is done through the examination of the
accent, tone, pitch, pace and volume of the character/s speaking. This is evident in
the Hiccup Initiation Ceremony Confession Scene in which Hiccup spits out, I m not
one of them. . He states this loudly, in a low pitch, slowly spitting out the words in a
chilling manner with a cold and harsh tone. Therefore, the audience interprets this as
Hiccup displaying himself as being different to the other Vikings in the manner of
behaving in an amiable fashion towards dragons. The audience subsequently comes to
the conclusion that Hiccup has a compassionate, understanding and altruistic
personality, denoting his willingness to overcome bias and promote difference. The
character code is also apparent in the Opening Scene where Stoick harshly declares,
What are you doing out? Get inside! . Stoick speedily demanded this thunderingly, in
a low pitch with an accusing and demanding tone. As a result of this, the audience
understands Stoick to be tough, powerful

The Struggle in Black Boy to Find a Figure of Manhood to Emulate
Black Boy is an autobiography about Richard Wright s life, and his struggle for
freedom. Throughout this book, Richard strives to find a model of manhood to
emulate, but ultimately fails. Richard fails in finding manhood to emulate in his
father. In the beginning of the book Richard s father leaves his mother for another
woman, making life for Richard s family even more so difficult. After all, my hate
for my father was not so great and urgent as my hate for the orphan home, says
Richard. When his father left, Richard and his brother were put into an orphan home,

to Richard, You think you re a man, but you ll learn, and you ll learn the hard way, I
wish I could be an example to you. Although Richard resents the way Uncle Tom
acts towards him, Uncle Tom is only trying to do it for Richard s benefit. Uncle
Tom is trying to teach Richard how he should act towards a white man, because
Richard does not know how to act, and does not know his place in society as a Black
Boy. Richard does not talk to Uncle Tom anymore. Richard also fails to find
manhood to emulate in Uncle Hoskins. One day while Richard was living with his
Aunt Maggie, Uncle Hoskins decides to take him out on the buggy. When they are
in the buggy, they approach a river. The horse begins to go into the river, as
Richard yells, The river s deep! Uncle Hoskins says, The horse has to drink.
Richard is very frightened as the buggy goes deeper into the water, and struggles to
escape the buggy. When they get farther into the water, the buggy is still safe, and
they are fine. Richard is still scared and demands to be let out. Uncle Hoskins did
not tell Richard that there is, Stone and brick way down under that water. You could

Rebecca has been described as the first major gothic romance of the 20th century;
Mrs. Danvers character is one of the few Gothic interests within the novel. Her
unnatural appearance and multi faceted relationship with Rebecca provides scope for
manifold interpretations and critical views. Furthermore, Mrs. Danvers connection
with Rebecca and Manderlay is a sub plot in itself, making Mrs. Danvers the most
subtly exciting character in the novel.
Mrs. Danvers bond with the late Mrs. De Winter is not just a typical servant/mistress

In fact some critics take a homoerotic view of Mrs. Danvers, drawing less on the
religious context and more on the sensual passion that Mrs. Danvers had for
Rebecca. She looked beautiful... The scent is still fresh . Sexual tension is often
implied you can almost imagine she had only just taken it off , these are her
underclothes , and I d stand behind her by the stool here, and brush away for twenty
minutes at a time . Brushing Rebecca s hair meant intimacy for Mrs. Danvers, a
moment that they shared together every evening, allowing her to be close to
Rebecca s scent and beauty. The use of soft consonants scent, off, brush further
implies the sensuality of the contact between them. In this way, Du Maurier allows
the reader to deduce that there could have been a lesbian relationship between Mrs.
Danvers and Rebecca. In an article published in the Guardian in June 2006, Anne
Massey, an actress playing Mrs. Danvers at the time, said,
Whether Mrs. Danvers was a latent lesbian, I have no idea. But she was certainly in
love... I played her rather like a lesbian in a French film .
At the time this was first published (1931), however, the topic of lesbianism and
indeed any kind of same sex relationships was repressed, making Du Maurier s
references to homosexuality a move against the grain of polite discourse. This is
perhaps why Du Maurier conceals Mrs. Danvers sexuality with perceivably mundane
actions such as brushing hair.

the convergence of the Laurentia and the Shelburne arc. The Taconic orogeny has led
to the formation of sedimentary rocks that can be classified into autochthonous and
allochthonous, whereas the Normanskill formation is autochthonous, and five
distinctive thrust slices from the low Taconic sequence are allochthonous. Another
feature is the Cortland Complex, which is a late Ordovician magmatic intrusion

Westchester counties, New York, have suffered metamorphism due to convergence

The End Of The Cold War
The end of the Cold War marks more than just the end of the arms race, between the
Soviet Union and the United States, it also marks the weakening of communism.
Communism, the greatest enemy to the west during the Cold War had to be put down
at any cost, this meant supporting militaristic dictatorships that were against
communism. The weakening of communism, however, ignited Global Democratic
Revolutions in which the people sought to gain the power back from the government.
These revolutions were mostly centered on the year 1989, and demonstrated the will
of the people to stop the oppression of these dictators or communist parties. The
Philippines were no different, independent organizations such as JAJA and
NAMFREL rallied against the militaristic dictatorship of Ferdinand Marcos.
Additionally, the intervention of the church proved to be a powerful uniting tool for
the revolution, in a catholic predominant society. Women played no small role,
Corazon Aquinochallenged Marcos politically, and many were involved in public
rallies. As a result, the Philippines peacefully defeated the oppressive rule of Marcos
and entered a state of Democratic stability. To bring about the revolution, it took the
combines effort of the Aquino family, individual organizations, the church, and
individual citizens. In 1983 an exiled senator Benigno Aquinoreturned to the
Philippines in order to oppose Marcos. Sadly, Padriac Kenney wrote that Aquino was

Problem based learning (PBL), is the using of real world patient problems as the
educational context for teaching medical students basic and clinical sciences, as
well as clinical reasoning and problem solving processes . This week s reading
revealed varied positive effects of the PBL on academic performance, clinical
performance, and levels of satisfaction in learning.
Problem based learning is used in many medical schools is found to have several
advantages, including promotes deeper learning, self directed, learner centered,
improves team working skills, and facilitates lifelong learning, on the other hand, the
PBL approach has a number of disadvantages, such as individual learning needs may
over ridden by group learning needs, and this approach may not suit the learning
styles of some students.
Application
As a student, I found peer teaching is enjoyable for students and peer teachers.
Allowing a students to take turns between being the teacher and the learner, will
achieve benefit from explaining their own personal understanding of the material to
another, and from hearing the same material from the others understanding or
viewpoint. In this model, students spend time summarizing information, assessing the
work or ideas of a peer, and explaining rationales. All of these meaningful activities
promote critical thinking and long term retention

relaxation that accompanies watching a fire, your new fire pit will provide you
pleasure.
Islands
With the right landscaping, you can turn your swimming pool into a visual delight
that includes one or more islands within the design. A grassy design with palm trees
and other plants that blend with the rest of your backyard landscaping design is
aesthetically pleasing. Alternatively, you can have an island oasis added to your
pool where you can place lawn chairs to relax and get away from the demands of
your home.
Lap Pools
For those with smaller yards or budgets, lap pools make an ideal choice. The long
rectangular design allows you to have plenty of room to get in your daily exercise.
While the traditional lap pool has enough width for one person, you can make yours
a bit wider so that you can share the healthy fun with another. Add a hot tub at one
end so you can soak and relax after your
The Government Of The People
Democracy is, and will always be, as one of America s past presidents Abraham
Lincoln stated in his Gettysburg Address, government of the people, by the
people, and for the people. The exact definition for democracy is a system of
government by the whole population of a state, typically through elected members.
The original idea of democracy that America s Founding Fathers promoted has
shifted throughout the years. America was founded on the principles of freedom
and liberty and many of these freedoms and liberties are being stripped away, or are
at risk of being stripped away, by the American government. America is no longer a
democracy, but it is an oligarchy. America is considered an oligarchy because of one
reason, and that reason is that power lies in the hand of the elite wealthy. The
majority of the population in America belongs to the middle class. The preferences of
most American citizens have little impact on government. Instead, the responsiveness
of government is strongly tilted towards the most affluent citizens . Those who reap
the benefits are the ones creating policies. As U.S. supreme court justice, Louis
Brandeis, stated, America can have democracy or it can have great wealth
concentrated in the hands of a few, but it cannot have both. Oligarchy and democracy
cannot coexist. It is true to say that since the founding of America, freedoms and
rights of all who have inhabited this land have greatly increased. However, in recent
years, these rights have

Ever Since Movies Had Started Becoming Popular, Film...
Ever since movies had started becoming popular, film adaptations have failed to live
up to their book counterparts. Although there are exceptions, both critics and the
general audience alike have given film adaptations the cold shoulder. A Clockwork
Orange is an exception. Originally published as a novel by Anthony Burgess in 1962,
A Clockwork Orangesets out to show the mind and workings of an extremely violent
teenager in a futuristic dystopian society. Director, producer, and screenwriter,
Stanley Kubrick s 1971 interpretation of the book has been critically acclaimed as
one of the best film adaptations to date. With its overly graphic depictions, effective

Norman perfectly describes this film in a whole. While this film being overly
graphic, its story and actions within the film keep the audience wanting to see more,
regardless of how shocking it is. As the film progresses, it seems to just continue with
its graphic depictions. For example, they trick a woman and her husband into letting
them into their home. Once inside, they tie a ball over mouths to prevent screaming.
Right after, Alex and his gang rip her clothes off, in which her husband naturally
reacts to try and prevent it. Alex acknowledges him and essentially humiliates the
man and the gang proceeds to rape her to death. This scene is graphically depicted
to the core. It is easy to see why Time Magazine ranked it in its, Top 10

brutishness of man (Time Magazine). With its effective portrayal of this scenes, we
see the film become critically acclaimed as one of the best. Not only does this
follow the book almost identically, but it creates a vivid image of each graphic
scene for the audience. Its interpretation of the graphic scenes from the book to film
has made it a great film, which many film adaptations fail to do. The novel relies
heavily on the symbolism music has to Alex; fortunately we see this come to life in
the film. Throughout the film we hear classical music, specifically louder when an

Essay about The Revolutions of 1848
The revolution of 1848 encompassed many of the European countries. The
revolutions sweeping across Europe included Germany, Italy, and France,
excluding Russia and England. Many historians refer to the year of 1848 as, The
Year of Revolutions , because of how the revolts spread throughout Europe. The
question is which political groups were the influence behind this revolution and
what were the causes of the revolution. The revolution united many diverse groups
of people; they were able to put aside their differences to move toward the greater
good of the society as a whole. Perhaps, the revolution was about basic human
survival, by means of having adequate food, shelter and the basic supplies to live;

The industrious response to the growth of the population was parallel to the new
population size. More people from rural areas were found moving to the cities to
find work in the new industries that were created. The major problem that led up to
the revolution was the tension that was forming between the classes. The working
class had major issues dealing with survival in poverty. There were three main
causes of the outbreak of the revolution in Germany such as: the down spiral of the
business cycle, business failure and loss of job, and the harvest failures throughout
Europe. The people sought after change but in the end they did not fully reach their
goal. ( The revolutions of 1848: in Germany, Italy, and France ) In Italy, nationalism
began to form, the conservative leaders felt threatened by the ideas of the
nationalist as well as liberalist because the ideas were very radical. The pervasive
crop failures for two consecutive seasons were part of the reason for the quick
uprising. The working class as in Germany took the brunt of the problems that the
loss of crops had on Italy, because they were those, directly linked to their ability to
buy food . ( The Revolution of 1848 ). Giuseppe Mazzini was a key supporter of
unifying the Italian state. Mazzini as well as the pope s support was required to
raise an upheaval for a revolution. The Italian nationalist needed three key

Resource planning is less convoluted when we can isolate it into these smaller

The Planet Jay Comes From The Earth
The planet Jay comes from is known as Mir to its inhabitants.
In this universe, there are several sapient species, who originate both in outer space
and on Mir. The human equivalent, mortal species are lovek, who live down on Mir
and, at the time of Jay s entry into Ryslig, are just starting to venture into outer space.
However, besides lovek there are several species that should be discussed in some
detail for a proper understanding of the setting.
Most immortal species in the setting fall under the umbrella of Spirits, based on the
fact they are composed of Spirit (substances relating to magic and the soul) rather
than Flesh (you know, meat). The universe is dualist and most living things within it
fall under one of the two broad categories of Spirit and Flesh.
First, there are the stareczi, who live in deep space and generally stay away from
Mir. They re something akin to sapient fungus (or possibly slimes). They have two
instars (life stages), which dictate their place in society.
The first instar is a haploid, unfused individual that grows from a spore. Unfused
stareczi live in loose groups of about five to ten individuals, though pods as large as
twenty five are not uncommon. The second instar is trickier.
The second instar of stareczi is something between a proper life stage and pair
bonding. At maturity, two haploid stareczi fuse into a single, diploid individual who
is capable of sporing. Fused stareczi are solitary and live away from others of their

Ontological Argument Is Anselm Is False
I Thesis
The Ontological Argument presented by Anselm is false because of premise two.
Anselm argues that God s existence is provable in a priori, this means that one
knows God exists simply by reason alone and therefore does not need any prior
experience to know it is true. In the next section, I will explain the premises and
defend Anselm s point. In the third section, I will explain how premise two is wrong.
II The Ontological Argument
In this section, I will explain the argument. If one accepts all of the premises of the
argument to be true then we must accept its conclusion. The first premise of the
argument states that God exists in the understanding (Rowe, 37). This is a true idea
because somethings only exist in one s understanding. ... Show more content on

One has been using Leibniz s test to establish the truth of the second premise.
However, it seems to fail when the concept includes that a thing exist in its
definition (Lecture 7/6). That is how the concept of God is in Anselm s argument.
The test is applied to possible and impossible things. One thinks of something as
possible if it is coherent and not self contradictory. The following is an example of
how the test can fail. Imagine a unicorn, a thing has horse like qualities and a horn
and a unichorn , a thing that has horse like qualities, a horn and existence (Lecture 7
/6). One thing has existence in its definition while the other does not. There is
nothing incoherent or self contradictory about those concepts. According to Leibniz s
test it would seem as though they would both pass the test making them both possible
things. However, there are two subcategories of possible things. The first category
includes possible things that exist while the second category consists of possible
things that do not exist but

The Physics Behind The Electric Vehicle
The Physics behind the Electric Vehicle It has been estimated that there will be
approximately 1200 million motor vehicles by the year 2020. That is almost twice
the number of cars that are already traveling on our busy roads. Due to this ever
increasing vehicle population, the demand for fuel will continue to increase as
well. With the depleting supply of oil already an issue for the U.S. especially, there
is a growing interest in alternative energy fuels that can be used to power motor
vehicles. Electric vehicles (EV) are one of the cleanest and most environmentally
friendly cars available at this point in time. By definition, an electric car is an
automobilethat is propelled by one or more electric motors, using electrical energy
stored in rechargeable or another energy storage device. The electric motors used in
these cars gives off instant torque, creating strong and smooth acceleration. Some of
the models of EVs have an electric motor for each wheel. Having these four motors
not only allows for better propulsion, but also for the use of braking and changing
the kinetic energy back into chemical energy in the batteries. The traction that the car
gets is also increased with each wheel driving. In some of the EV models the electric
motors can be mounted directly inside the mounting for the wheel, which enables a
loss of all the moving parts between the motor and the wheel. When there is no axle,
differential, or transmission, the EVs have less drivetrain

Some have argued that, because of the text s inconsistencies and incompatibilities of
thought, there is much in the Analects that is non Confucian and should be discarded
as a basis for understanding the thought of Confucius. Benjamin Schwartz cautions us
against such radical measures.
While textual criticism based on rigorous philological and historic analysis is crucial,
and while the later sections [of the Analects] do contain late materials, the type of
textual criticism that is based on considerations of alleged logical inconsistencies and
incompatibilities of thought must be viewed with great suspicion. . . . While none of
us comes to such an enterprise without deep laid assumptions about necessary logical
relations and compatibilities, we should at least hold before ourselves the constant
injunction to mistrust all our unexamined preconceptions on these matters when
dealing with comparative thought. (The World of Thought in Ancient China, p. 61)
Confucius philosophy was predominately a moral and political one. It was founded on
the belief that heaven and earth coexist in harmony and balanced strength while
maintaining a perpetual dynamism. Human beings, he taught, are sustained by these
conditions and must strive to emulate the cosmic model.

Many of the vaso protective function of endothelium is provide by the Nitric
Oxide(NO)20.Endothelium damaged by turbulent or non laminar blood causes
decreased production of NO.Such kind of blood flow also stimulates endothelial
cells to produce adhesion molecules, which recruit and bind inflammatory cells.
Hypercholesterolemia seems to inactivate the normal function of NO. The net
effect is endothelial binding of monocytes and T cells, migration of these cells to
the subendothelial space, and initiation of a local vascular inflammatory response.
Lipids in the blood, particularly low density lipoprotein (LDL) and very low
density lipoprotein (VLDL), also bind to endothelial cells. 18Firstly LDL is
transported across the healthy intima and become trapped in intima of a vessel
wall.It undergoes oxidative modification and then oxidized LDL(OxLDL) is
formed5.OxLDL is mighty inducer of inflammatory molecules. It adds up to the
inflamotory signaling by endothelium that activates chemotactic substances, growth
factors that attracts monocytes to vessel wall21Eventually OxLDL transforms
monocytes into macrophages which makes the Forms cells, which are the hallmark
of atherosclerosis. Oxidized LDL impair the signal transduction between
endothelial cell surface receptors and NO production, inhibit NO synthase activity
and inactivates NO realese from endothelial cells.22.Once the endothelium is
impaired, oxidized LDL is stored in vascular endothelium and by the process of
series of mechanism, foam cells are formed and then eventually fatty plaque that
occludes the vessel along with the decreased amount of NO which decreases the
ability of the vessel to dilate. As the plaque grows arterial wall narrowing and
thickening occurs5. This plaque and narrowing of vessel results in decreased blood

German Shepards are cop dogs so they are both friendly but protective and smart and
can be well trained. My grandma had a Doverman so I know they are very smart and
friendly
Cultural Appropriation Is Inevitable Like Globalization
Into
In the summer people wear flower crowns and get excited for the music festivals that
come with the season. Their hair is in braids and they have henna sticker tattoos on
them. Tanned, smiling and holding hands they head towards the festival s entrance.
One could say this is the new version of the Flower Power era from the nineteen
sixties and seventies (). However people continue to make the same mistake as the
generation before, people decorate themselves with culturally significant items, but
they know little about it. 88
Cultural appropriation is inevitable like Globalization The cultural exchanges of
ideas, beliefs, and technology, the greater chance of cultural appropriation. This
phenomenon is called globalization. Cultural appropriation is inevitable, but it can be
viewed in a positive perspective instead of the current negative one. Consider the first
time blue jeans became popular in American culture, now across the global people
wear blue jeans and some consider it a major part of American culture (). The piece
of clothing is so synonymous with American culture some countries like North
Korea, have banned the item because the country believes its citizens would start
supporting American ideals instead of wearing blue pants. Or the multinational
company of Coke A Cola has marketed its product across the global but many
consumers can identify its products as American goods. Items like blue jeans, dream
catchers and henna can carry a lot of
King Lear and conflict with his daughters
The general plot of King Lear revolves mainly around the conflict between the King
and his daughters, although there is a definite and distinct sub plot dealing with the
plight and tragedy of Gloucester as well. One of the main themes that Shakespeare
chooses to focus on in King Lear is the dysfunctional nature of not only the royal
family and Gloucester, but the heartache and emotional strain that goes along with
being a parent and having to make a decision that will divide your children. This
play focuses on not only the after effects of this decision, but the way in which it
affects the King, his children and his subjects as well. King Learis also a play full of
deceit and betrayal. This is clearly seen in the first few lines. We first... Show more

This is what she meant when she utters the word nothing. She has nothing to say that
will flatter the king because she is honest. She is not like her sisters who would do
anything to get what they want. After he does this, he continues to badger and
ridicule her for her lack of affection and love for him. He does this to anyone who
does not put him on the pedestal that he feels that he rightfully deserves to be on.
One must note that during this time, women were supposed to be subordinate and
obedient to men, Codelia s position here is a precarious one, and one that must be
backed by firm belief, as she still will not give in to Lear after his threats, which
shows us from the very start that she is an extremely strong willed and determined
young woman. The mere existence of this incredibly foolish game illustrates to us
Lear s overwhelming insecurities about his relationship with his three daughters.
Cordelia s refusal angers him, painting a picture of (not for the last time) Lear s poor
capacity for dealing with relationships, father daughter or otherwise.
The other parent child relationship gone wrong in this play is that of Edmund and his
father. He is the bastard son of Gloucester and wants everything that Edgar, the
legitimate son, has. In the beginning of Act 2 he draws his sword on Edgar and tells
him to pretend like he is protecting himself because he hears Gloucester coming.
Edmund says:
I hear my father
A Comparison Of The Glass Menagerie
While reading Tennessee Williams play, The Glass Menagerie , readers are drawn
into the drama and disaster that is the Wingfield family. There were several different
film and television versions of this play done thru the years from 1950 to 1987. After
watching several different adaptations, Paul Newman s film adaptation in 1987 is
extremely faithful to the written version. Focusing on plot, setting, and character
development the audienceis introduced to a familywith an austere future structured
around a series of abandonments, difficulty accepting reality and the impossibility
of true escape. Both versions begin with a narrator looking back at the past and
setting the stage for what memories will follow. The story is told in hindsight by
Tom. It begins with Laura and Amanda waiting at the dining table for Tom to join
them, so they can say grace and begin the meal, showing the audience, the family is
very close and depend on each other. Throughout, readers also see constant conflict
between the mother and children, but never conflict between the siblings. For
instance, when Williams writes after an argument between Tom and Amanda;
AMANDA: I won t speak to you until you apologize! (25) then the next morning
Amanda sending Laura out, so she can talk to Tom privately to discuss Laura s
future. Trying to provide security to Laura and Amanda (at Amanda s request), Tom
invites and friend, Jim, home from work to meet his sister in the hopes that he will

An Analysis Of Zora Neal Hurston s Their Eyes Were...
Nature is used as a metaphor for many things in life and in the pages of a novel.
One can use spring as a rejuvenation of the soul, winter as a barren wasteland,
summer the splendor of someone s life, and autumn the bringer of death. Zora Neal
Hurston uses these and similar aspects of nature as a pillar in her novel Their Eyes
were Watching Godto describe the progression of the life of Janie, the main
character. One of the many natural images Hurston provided the reader with was
that of the pear tree. The pear tree was a predominant image throughout the early
stages of the book because it represented the innocence of Janie. The beautiful, sun
kissed tree was first introduced in the paragraph where Hurston says From barren
brown stems to glistening leaf buds; from leaf buds to snowy virginity of bloom.
(27) The words ...snowy virginity of bloom... refer to the bloom of the flower, but
also as a metaphor for Janie. At this point of the book she hadn t experienced any
serious harm of slavery or misogyny, both of which were extremely at large during
the time the novel was set. This shows her naivetГ© and ignorance towards the real
perils of the world because of the complete, almost asphyxiating embrace of nanny.
She had done such a good job at protecting Janie that by the age of 16, Janie had no
real maturing. She was extremely vulnerable to the extensive physical and emotional
perils of the real world. She was stretched on her back...that left her limp and languid.
(28) This
Social, Economic And Environmental Characteristics For...
This paper will explore the social, economic and environmental characteristics for
entrepreneurship in the Olusosun rubbish dump as depicted in the movie
welcome to Lagos. (LINES OF EXPLORATION???????) Nigeria faces vast
inequality with a gini coefficient standing at 48. 8 (United Nations Development
Programme, 2013). Lagos is home to the largest slum in the country, which is
Ajungle. Nearly thirty kilometers away from the cities largest slum is a landfill
where nearly 1000 people live and work. Despite being characterized as scavengers
of garbage, they are actually entrepreneurs. These people have created a business
from what they find in the dump and how they are able to make a profit from what
others didn t find value in. This essay... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A beneficial inequality represented in the documentary as well as in the papers is
that there is no child labor within the dump. All workers are of sixteen years of age
or older (Adepegba and Ogunrinola, 2012). This documentary also takes a look on
how the poor peoples actions are all represented as one, and how for the most part
they are socially unaccepted by others who live in Lagos. The people in the dump
are ones to be blamed for social inequality. The majority of the people in the dump
are there to make a business. In order to stay in business they have to stay out of
the public s eye. When one of the main characters in the documentary got arrested,
the situation threatened the whole dump. The reckless behavior of one man was
portrayed throughout the thousands of other people working in the dump as
being incompetent and troublemakers of society (Nwoye, n.d). Environmentally,
the Olusosun rubbish dump is a place for its inhabitants to thrive. It is where they
live and it is also where they get all of their resources to sustain their businesses. By
the end of the documentary you get the sense that it is a good place for these
people to live. The film does show how they face many challenges in the dump
such as fires, which can suspend their sales between days and weeks. This film fails
to recognize how these challenges and some of the practices these people use to get
their product prepared for sale actually cause harm to their lives and others who
Formative Evaluation Paper
As I read and learn about summative and formative evaluations, I tend to connect it
to my career. I am very familiar with completing formative evaluations internally and
dealing with summative evaluations externally. However, I feel as though I would
get a better understanding if I was to learn about these types of evaluations in a
different context. Therefore, I found an article by Edith Kealey (2010) that assessed
and evaluated social work educationthrough formative and summative approaches.
Kealey (2010) assessed the measurements for the students learningand evaluated the
instructors teaching. To assess the students learning, formative activities were used,
which allowed for developmental gaps to be discovered between what was expected
and what the current performance of the students were. Being able to discover these
gaps through the formative assessmentit will allow the gaps to be filled with the
appropriate actions to meet the expected goals (Kealey, 2010). I can definitely relate
to how formative assessment is being used in the educational setting. For instance,
within programs of non profit agencies, I can use the formative evaluations as a way
to see where... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In order to evaluate the level of teaching, there were end of the year evaluations that
took place. By evaluating their level of teaching at the end of the year, it provided
an overall accountability measure for their performance (Kealey, 2010). This
measurement was used to assess the overall teaching skills of the instructor. In
regards to programs within the non profit agency, it is very similar because
summative evaluations are used to get an overall measurement of how effective the
program is doing. If the teachers or programs are not meeting the standards set for the
students or the participants, then the instructor or the program has to make a drastic
decision to move forward
The Battle Of The Sea
The sea roiled as waves lapped hungerly against the approaching Snekke class long
ship. It s sanguine stripped sail flowed eagerly in the strong breeze. Lightning split
the sky with bolts of terrifying power. The ionic cleansing of the air bringing about a
sense of change and clarity before a storm of a different nature began.
Thor is pleased with us! Listen to how he works his anvil! The god s are with us
today!
The giant warriors aboard the ship roared in agreement thrusting fist and axe into
the sky. Not all of them were men, about a quarter were women who stood nearly
six feet tall. In the Norse Germanic pagan society, women were equal to men and
were not denied the chance to find glory on the battlefield. To the Danes, ... Show

All fifty raiders grabbed their great circular wooden shields off the sides of the boat,
and leapt over the side with sword and axe in hand. Leif stood before them, his
glacier blue eyes alive with the might of the gods.
Fight as if it were your last! The All Father is with us! Our families at home await
our triumphant return just as much as our ancestors look forward to sharing ale with
us in Valhalla! Show no fear to these Westerners as they are but frightened deer
before us! Protect the brother beside you and fight with honor!
With that Leif started slapping the head of his axe against the metal dome which
rested in the center of his shield. When the other Norse men did the same, it created
an intimidating beat of war. They approached the village in a shield wall formation,
in five columns. The men in front carried pilums to skirmish with, while the hirdman
made up the middle. A few huscarls who joined them took up the flank of the
brigade, each of them holding a two handed Dane axe, capable of crushing through
both shield and armor alike.
The distant bell of alarm began to sound. No doubt they were spotted before reaching
the shore. Sure enough, the first wave of defenders were ready to meet them just
beyond the beach head. The midgets of Britain had superior steel this much was
known, but they lacked the strength and spirit of the Northman. The Vikingslike
Examples Of Goodness In All The King s Men
Each person has inside a basic decency and goodness. If he listens to it and acts on it,
he is giving a great deal of what it is the world needs most. It is not complicated but
it takes courage. It takes courage for a person to listen to his own goodness and act
on it. Pablo Casals
Goodness is usually defined as a quality of being kind, honorable or virtuous.
Though it can be subjective, there is a major question that goes along with ideas of
good and bad; what is goodness? Throughout the book, All the King s Men by Robert
Penn Warren, this concept of good versus bad intentions and morals can be seen in
many of the characters. Through Willie Stark, Adam Stanton, and Jack Burden,
Warren reveals how goodness is an abstract concept, and how goodness does not
mean the same thing to everyone.
Willie Stark begins the book with good intentions and having his heart in the ... Show

Through the characters, Warren reveals a theme of goodness, and what goodness is.
Whether they believe that they are doing good, or simply don t care about whether
their actions are right or not, it is always under the surface of each major moment in
the book. Both Adam and Willie remained, in their own eyes, morally good, though
their actions may not have reflected this. Jack went through a change of ethics,
revealing the meaning of goodness in the book. The core of what makes someone a
good person is not only the actions that they take, but is also the intention behind the
action. Many times throughout the book characters make decisions that they believe
to be right, even if the results don t turn out to benefit anyone else. These decisions
show Warren s beliefs on goodness, that it is ultimately subjective to each character
or person. Actions can be made with good intentions and still appear to be bad, and
actions can also be made with intentions that are only good in the minds of those
making the

Important Of Education Essay

  • 1. Important Of Education Essay Writing an essay on the importance of education may seem like a straightforward task, given the significance of the topic. However, delving into the intricacies and capturing the essence of education's multifaceted impact can be challenging. The difficulty lies not in the scarcity of information but rather in the need to distill a vast array of perspectives and insights into a coherent and compelling narrative. To begin with, the importance of education spans various dimensions – social, economic, cultural, and personal. One must navigate through historical perspectives, contemporary challenges, and future implications to provide a comprehensive view. The essay should not merely list the benefits of education but should delve into the nuances of how education transforms individuals and societies. Moreover, crafting a compelling essay requires striking a balance between the general and the specific. While discussing overarching themes, the writer must also bring in concrete examples and real-world scenarios to illustrate the tangible impact of education. This involves thorough research to gather relevant data and anecdotes that resonate with the readers. Furthermore, addressing the diversity of opinions on what constitutes a well-rounded education adds another layer of complexity. The essay must acknowledge different cultural and philosophical viewpoints while articulating a coherent argument for the universal importance of education. Balancing these diverse perspectives demands finesse and a nuanced understanding of the subject matter. In conclusion, writing an essay on the importance of education is not just about compiling facts and figures. It requires weaving a narrative that captures the essence of education's transformative power while acknowledging its complexities. It's a task that demands a careful blend of research, critical thinking, and effective communication. • 2. Analysis Of Elizabeth Barrett Browning s Sonnets Of The... All literature reflects the values, attitudes and beliefs of the context of construction. Thus, this means that whenever we study any text, we must develop a deep understanding of how the context impacts upon the purpose of the texts and the writers intended discourses. The comparative study of Elizabeth Barrett Browning s sonnets of the Portuguese and Scott Fitzgerald s Pros fiction The Great Gatsbyallow for a thorough evaluation of the relationship between the texts contexts and values. Both composers craft arguments on the nature of and value of life itself within the framework of love and spirituality. Browning, however writes from the perspective of a woman challenging values of the conventions of the Victorian era. Whilst, Fitzgerald construct s his text as an indictment on the emerging hedonistic and capitalist creed of 1920 s America the Jazz Age. As we will move through the texts, the writer s context will influence their discourses and hence the meaning and significance we derive from each text. Mortality: Both Gatsby and the sonnets provide commentary on the meaning and value of life itself. The composers articulate a number of arguments on human mortality and what does and doesn t constitute a waste of human life. ( I will change the parts I have highlighted) The Great Gatsby presents most of the characters using immoral and corrupt means to achieve their American dream. This results in the physical/metaphorical death of a being. Contextually, The Great

  • 4. Implementing the Ramsar Convention in Developing... Implementing the Ramsar Convention in Developing Countries: The Role of Local Community Support and Involvement Over the last two decades, a consensus has gradually emerged that long term conservation depends on understanding and support from those closely connected to the environment and its resources (Shine, Klemm, 1999.) Several international environmental conventions have reflected this consensus by establishing a legal basis to involve local communities, especially those in developing countries, in their implementation. Recent changes in the focus of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands are consistent with this global trend towards emphasizing the importance of community support and involvement. Adopted in Ramsar, Iran on... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By contrasting and comparing case studies in developing countries with varying degrees of wetland conservation success, it is clear that local community involvement and support of conservation is critical to success. Acknowledging this, those sites with unsuccessful wetland conservation have begun to plan initiatives to promote community participation and support. This study focuses solely on wetland conservation in developing countries, where lifestyles and lack of government capacity make community support and involvement in wetland conservation policies and practices particularly important. People in the developing world are more closely connected to the environment than those in developed countries. Since they rely more directly on the extraction of natural resources and use of natural services for their sustenance and economy, their lifestyles have a more direct impact on the immediate ecosystem. Given that all countries, but especially developing countries...need to enhance their internal capacity to manage their environmental protection and sustainable development, a lack of national and state government capacity results in a greater need for the support and involvement of local communities in wetland conservation (Susskind, et al. 2002). Since developing country governments may not have the finances, institutions, or knowledge to strictly enforce their wetland conservation policies, community policy support is

Encryption It is process of encoding information/message in a way that only permitted parties receive the messages. In this message is encrypted as plaintext by using encryption algorithm and the which generate ciphertext which can only be read when decrypted by using right encryption key. Encryption is a part of cryptography. In above diagram , plaintext in first encrypted using encryption algorithm and it produces ciphertext and this message can only be decrypted by authorize party who has the right encryption key so in above diagram the encoded message is decrypted and plaintext is received. By making data encrypted, it become difficult for attacker to read data because of the absence of correct encryption key because when attacker have the encrypted data then this data is unreadable, this data can only be readable when correct encryption key is used. There are many algorithm which are used for encryption and decryption. There are mainly three types of Encryptions : 1)Secret key cryptography 2)Public Key cryptography 3) With Hash Functionality Secret key cryptography In secret key cryptography, same key is used for encryption and decryption. In this same encryption key is used by both sender and receiver. For example sender uses key 123 for encryption then receiver also have to use same key that

The state of Kansas and many other states allow capital punishment to exist on the grounds of the United States. Capital punishment also known as death penalty is a subject worth discussing because of its unjust act upon humans. Capital punishment is an act that uses racism in many occasion. According to [Justice Department] figures, nearly 80 percent of inmates on federal death roware Black, Hispanic, or from another minority group (Campaign to End the Death Penalty). In fact racism is still going on today in the world including the United States. The imposition of the death penalty is racially biased: Nearly 90% of persons executed were convicted of killing whites, although people of color make up over half of all homicide victims in the United States (National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty). Capital punishment is society s final assertion that it will not forgive (Martin Luther King). Capital Punishment does not deter crime. Scientific studies have consistently failed to demonstrate that executions deter people from committing crime (Death Penalty Focus). In fact the gov. is using deterrence is the use of punishment as a threat to deter people from offending which actually is not working as

Hashimoto Thyroiditis Research Paper Hashimoto Thyroiditis also known as Hashimoto s disease named after Hakarum Hashimoto back in 1912, is an Autoimmune Lymphocytic infiltration of the thyroid gland by antithyroid autoantibodies. It is highly likely for a person to develop Hypothyroidism as a result of the autoantibodies attacking the thyroid and keeping the thyroid from producing the amount of hormones our bodies need. As stated in the Ear, Nose and Throat Journal Approximately 5% of the general population has hypothyroidism, with Hashimoto thyroiditis the most common cause. • 9. How To Train Your Dragon Analysis How To Train Your Dragon , a 2010 film directed by Dean DeBlois and Chris Sanders, uses the film codes to enhance the audience s understanding of the film. How To Train Your Dragon tells the tale of a hapless young Viking named Hiccup, who befriends a dragon named Toothless. Together, they teach the island of Berk about acceptance and overcoming differences. While producing the directors used the film codes to add interest and understandingto the film, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the film. The character codeallows to better understand the personality of and have a deeper connection with the characters. Representational code benefits the audienceby letting them decipher what the character represents. Meanwhile, the technical code uses film making equipment to give more information about the characters, scenes and the film in its entirety. The character code enables the audience to gain a deeper understanding of the characters. The character code enables the audience to better understand the characters by offering insight into the personalities of the characters. The character code requires the audience to analyse the character s speech to better understand the character s personality, actions and behaviour. This is done through the examination of the accent, tone, pitch, pace and volume of the character/s speaking. This is evident in the Hiccup Initiation Ceremony Confession Scene in which Hiccup spits out, I m not one of them. . He states this loudly, in a low pitch, slowly spitting out the words in a chilling manner with a cold and harsh tone. Therefore, the audience interprets this as Hiccup displaying himself as being different to the other Vikings in the manner of behaving in an amiable fashion towards dragons. The audience subsequently comes to the conclusion that Hiccup has a compassionate, understanding and altruistic personality, denoting his willingness to overcome bias and promote difference. The character code is also apparent in the Opening Scene where Stoick harshly declares, What are you doing out? Get inside! . Stoick speedily demanded this thunderingly, in a low pitch with an accusing and demanding tone. As a result of this, the audience understands Stoick to be tough, powerful

The Struggle in Black Boy to Find a Figure of Manhood to Emulate Black Boy is an autobiography about Richard Wright s life, and his struggle for freedom. Although Richard resents the way Uncle Tom acts towards him, Uncle Tom is only trying to do it for Richard s benefit. Uncle Tom is trying to teach Richard how he should act towards a white man, because Richard does not know how to act, and does not know his place in society as a Black Boy. Rebecca has been described as the first major gothic romance of the 20th century; Mrs. Danvers character is one of the few Gothic interests within the novel. Her unnatural appearance and multi faceted relationship with Rebecca provides scope for manifold interpretations and critical views. Furthermore, Mrs. Danvers connection with Rebecca and Manderlay is a sub plot in itself, making Mrs. Danvers the most subtly exciting character in the novel. Brushing Rebecca s hair meant intimacy for Mrs. Danvers, a moment that they shared together every evening, allowing her to be close to Rebecca s scent and beauty. The use of soft consonants scent, off, brush further implies the sensuality of the contact between them. In this way, Du Maurier allows the reader to deduce that there could have been a lesbian relationship between Mrs. Danvers and Rebecca. In an article published in the Guardian in June 2006, Anne Massey, an actress playing Mrs. Danvers at the time, said, Whether Mrs. Danvers was a latent lesbian, I have no idea. But she was certainly in love... I played her rather like a lesbian in a French film . At the time this was first published (1931), however, the topic of lesbianism and indeed any kind of same sex relationships was repressed, making Du Maurier s references to homosexuality a move against the grain of polite discourse. This is perhaps why Du Maurier conceals Mrs. Danvers sexuality with perceivably mundane actions such as brushing hair. Mrs.

Communism, the greatest enemy to the west during the Cold War had to be put down at any cost, this meant supporting militaristic dictatorships that were against communism. The weakening of communism, however, ignited Global Democratic Revolutions in which the people sought to gain the power back from the government. These revolutions were mostly centered on the year 1989, and demonstrated the will of the people to stop the oppression of these dictators or communist parties. The Philippines were no different, independent organizations such as JAJA and NAMFREL rallied against the militaristic dictatorship of Ferdinand Marcos. Additionally, the intervention of the church proved to be a powerful uniting tool for the revolution, in a catholic predominant society. Women played no small role, Corazon Aquinochallenged Marcos politically, and many were involved in public rallies. As a result, the Philippines peacefully defeated the oppressive rule of Marcos and entered a state of Democratic stability. To bring about the revolution, it took the combines effort of the Aquino family, individual organizations, the church, and individual citizens. The Government Of The People Democracy is, and will always be, as one of America s past presidents Abraham Lincoln stated in his Gettysburg Address, government of the people, by the people, and for the people. The exact definition for democracy is a system of government by the whole population of a state, typically through elected members. The original idea of democracy that America s Founding Fathers promoted has shifted throughout the years. America was founded on the principles of freedom and liberty and many of these freedoms and liberties are being stripped away, or are at risk of being stripped away, by the American government. America is no longer a democracy, but it is an oligarchy. America is considered an oligarchy because of one reason, and that reason is that power lies in the hand of the elite wealthy. The majority of the population in America belongs to the middle class. The preferences of most American citizens have little impact on government. Instead, the responsiveness of government is strongly tilted towards the most affluent citizens . Those who reap the benefits are the ones creating policies. As U.S. supreme court justice, Louis Brandeis, stated, America can have democracy or it can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, but it cannot have both. Oligarchy and democracy cannot coexist. It is true to say that since the founding of America, freedoms and rights of all who have inhabited this land have greatly increased. That is almost twice the number of cars that are already traveling on our busy roads. Due to this ever increasing vehicle population, the demand for fuel will continue to increase as well. With the depleting supply of oil already an issue for the U.S. especially, there is a growing interest in alternative energy fuels that can be used to power motor vehicles. Electric vehicles (EV) are one of the cleanest and most environmentally friendly cars available at this point in time. By definition, an electric car is an automobilethat is propelled by one or more electric motors, using electrical energy stored in rechargeable or another energy storage device. The electric motors used in these cars gives off instant torque, creating strong and smooth acceleration. Some of the models of EVs have an electric motor for each wheel. Having these four motors not only allows for better propulsion, but also for the use of braking and changing the kinetic energy back into chemical energy in the batteries. The traction that the car gets is also increased with each wheel driving. Some have argued that, because of the text s inconsistencies and incompatibilities of thought, there is much in the Analects that is non Confucian and should be discarded as a basis for understanding the thought of Confucius. Benjamin Schwartz cautions us against such radical measures. While textual criticism based on rigorous philological and historic analysis is crucial, and while the later sections [of the Analects] do contain late materials, the type of textual criticism that is based on considerations of alleged logical inconsistencies and incompatibilities of thought must be viewed with great suspicion. . . . While none of us comes to such an enterprise without deep laid assumptions about necessary logical relations and compatibilities, we should at least hold before ourselves the constant injunction to mistrust all our unexamined preconceptions on these matters when dealing with comparative thought. (The World of Thought in Ancient China, p. 61) Confucius philosophy was predominately a moral and political one. It was founded on the belief that heaven and earth coexist in harmony and balanced strength while maintaining a perpetual dynamism. Human beings, he taught, are sustained by these conditions and must strive to emulate the cosmic model. The Doctrine of the Mean is the elaboration of the way of

Arteriosclerosis is a general term for the thickening and hardening of arteries. Atherosclerosis, or hardening of the arteries, is a pathological situation in which plaque builds up inside the arteries. Plaque is usually made of cholesterol, fatty substances, cellular products, calcium and fibrin (a clotting material in the blood). Atherosclerosis is the leading cause of mortality and morbidity from cardiovascular disease (CVD) around the world. The magnitude of this problem is so high that atherosclerosis claims more lives than all types of cancer combined and the financial burden are considerable1. It a complex, chronic pathological ... Many of the vaso protective function of endothelium is provide by the Nitric Oxide(NO)20.Endothelium damaged by turbulent or non laminar blood causes decreased production of NO.Such kind of blood flow also stimulates endothelial cells to produce adhesion molecules, which recruit and bind inflammatory cells. Hypercholesterolemia seems to inactivate the normal function of NO. The net effect is endothelial binding of monocytes and T cells, migration of these cells to the subendothelial space, and initiation of a local vascular inflammatory response. Lipids in the blood, particularly low density lipoprotein (LDL) and very low density lipoprotein (VLDL), also bind to endothelial cells. 18Firstly LDL is transported across the healthy intima and become trapped in intima of a vessel wall.It undergoes oxidative modification and then oxidized LDL(OxLDL) is formed5.OxLDL is mighty inducer of inflammatory molecules. It adds up to the inflamotory signaling by endothelium that activates chemotactic substances, growth factors that attracts monocytes to vessel wall21Eventually OxLDL transforms monocytes into macrophages which makes the Forms cells, which are the hallmark of atherosclerosis. Oxidized LDL impair the signal transduction between endothelial cell surface receptors and NO production, inhibit NO synthase activity and inactivates NO realese from endothelial cells.22.Once the endothelium is impaired, oxidized LDL is stored in vascular endothelium and by the process of series of mechanism, foam cells are formed and then eventually fatty plaque that occludes the vessel along with the decreased amount of NO which decreases the ability of the vessel to dilate. As the plaque grows arterial wall narrowing and thickening occurs5. This plaque and narrowing of vessel results in decreased blood flow

King Lear and conflict with his daughters The general plot of King Lear revolves mainly around the conflict between the King and his daughters, although there is a definite and distinct sub plot dealing with the plight and tragedy of Gloucester as well. One of the main themes that Shakespeare chooses to focus on in King Lear is the dysfunctional nature of not only the royal family and Gloucester, but the heartache and emotional strain that goes along with being a parent and having to make a decision that will divide your children. This play focuses on not only the after effects of this decision, but the way in which it affects the King, his children and his subjects as well. King Learis also a play full of deceit and betrayal. After he does this, he continues to badger and ridicule her for her lack of affection and love for him. He does this to anyone who does not put him on the pedestal that he feels that he rightfully deserves to be on. One must note that during this time, women were supposed to be subordinate and obedient to men, Codelia s position here is a precarious one, and one that must be backed by firm belief, as she still will not give in to Lear after his threats, which shows us from the very start that she is an extremely strong willed and determined young woman. The mere existence of this incredibly foolish game illustrates to us Lear s overwhelming insecurities about his relationship with his three daughters. Cordelia s refusal angers him, painting a picture of (not for the last time) Lear s poor capacity for dealing with relationships, father daughter or otherwise. The other parent child relationship gone wrong in this play is that of Edmund and his father. He is the bastard son of Gloucester and wants everything that Edgar, the legitimate son, has. In the beginning of Act 2 he draws his sword on Edgar and tells him to pretend like he is protecting himself because he hears Gloucester coming. Edmund says: I hear my father

After watching several different adaptations, Paul Newman s film adaptation in 1987 is extremely faithful to the written version. Focusing on plot, setting, and character development the audienceis introduced to a familywith an austere future structured around a series of abandonments, difficulty accepting reality and the impossibility of true escape. Both versions begin with a narrator looking back at the past and setting the stage for what memories will follow. The story is told in hindsight by Tom. It begins with Laura and Amanda waiting at the dining table for Tom to join them, so they can say grace and begin the meal, showing the audience, the family is very close and depend on each other. One can use spring as a rejuvenation of the soul, winter as a barren wasteland, summer the splendor of someone s life, and autumn the bringer of death. Zora Neal Hurston uses these and similar aspects of nature as a pillar in her novel Their Eyes were Watching Godto describe the progression of the life of Janie, the main character. One of the many natural images Hurston provided the reader with was that of the pear tree. The pear tree was a predominant image throughout the early stages of the book because it represented the innocence of Janie. The beautiful, sun kissed tree was first introduced in the paragraph where Hurston says From barren brown stems to glistening leaf buds; from leaf buds to snowy virginity of bloom. (27) The words ...snowy virginity of bloom... refer to the bloom of the flower, but also as a metaphor for Janie. At this point of the book she hadn t experienced any serious harm of slavery or misogyny, both of which were extremely at large during the time the novel was set. This shows her naivetГ© and ignorance towards the real perils of the world because of the complete, almost asphyxiating embrace of nanny. She had done such a good job at protecting Janie that by the age of 16, Janie had no real maturing. She was extremely vulnerable to the extensive physical and emotional perils of the real world. She was stretched on her back...that left her limp and languid. (28) This

Lagos is home to the largest slum in the country, which is Ajungle. Nearly thirty kilometers away from the cities largest slum is a landfill where nearly 1000 people live and work. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A beneficial inequality represented in the documentary as well as in the papers is that there is no child labor within the dump. All workers are of sixteen years of age or older (Adepegba and Ogunrinola, 2012). This documentary also takes a look on how the poor peoples actions are all represented as one, and how for the most part they are socially unaccepted by others who live in Lagos. The people in the dump are ones to be blamed for social inequality. The majority of the people in the dump are there to make a business. In order to stay in business they have to stay out of the public s eye. When one of the main characters in the documentary got arrested, the situation threatened the whole dump. The reckless behavior of one man was portrayed throughout the thousands of other people working in the dump as being incompetent and troublemakers of society (Nwoye, n.d). Environmentally, the Olusosun rubbish dump is a place for its inhabitants to thrive. It is where they live and it is also where they get all of their resources to sustain their businesses. By the end of the documentary you get the sense that it is a good place for these people to live. The film does show how they face many challenges in the dump such as fires, which can suspend their sales between days and weeks. This film fails to recognize how these challenges and some of the practices these people use to get their product prepared for sale actually cause harm to their lives and others who

I am very familiar with completing formative evaluations internally and dealing with summative evaluations externally. However, I feel as though I would get a better understanding if I was to learn about these types of evaluations in a different context. Therefore, I found an article by Edith Kealey (2010) that assessed and evaluated social work educationthrough formative and summative approaches. Kealey (2010) assessed the measurements for the students learningand evaluated the instructors teaching. To assess the students learning, formative activities were used, which allowed for developmental gaps to be discovered between what was expected and what the current performance of the students were. Being able to discover these gaps through the formative assessmentit will allow the gaps to be filled with the appropriate actions to meet the expected goals (Kealey, 2010). Though it can be subjective, there is a major question that goes along with ideas of good and bad; what is goodness? Throughout the book, All the King s Men by Robert Penn Warren, this concept of good versus bad intentions and morals can be seen in many of the characters.
