Writing Essays Services
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Writing Essays Services" presents a paradoxical challenge,
as one navigates the intricate landscape of discussing a topic that essentially revolves around the
act of writing itself. It's akin to attempting to capture the essence of a painter while holding a
brush in hand – a metacognitive undertaking that demands a delicate balance.
Firstly, the irony is palpable. Writing about services that offer assistance in writing essays
introduces a layer of self-awareness that borders on the surreal. It's like peering into a hall of
mirrors, where the act of reflection is simultaneous with the subject under scrutiny. The task
becomes an exercise in self-analysis, probing the motivations and intricacies of outsourcing a
task that, by definition, is an act of personal expression.
The difficulty intensifies when delving into the ethical considerations surrounding such services.
The act of outsourcing one's intellectual labor prompts questions about the authenticity of the
learning process. Are these services a crutch, a shortcut, or perhaps an essential support system in
a world that demands multifaceted skills?
Furthermore, navigating the sea of available writing services itself becomes a daunting task. The
abundance of options, each claiming excellence, forces a critical evaluation of not only the
services but also one's own criteria for judging their worth. It requires a nuanced understanding
of the fine line between assistance and academic dishonesty, with the writer juggling the
responsibility of maintaining academic integrity while exploring the very industry designed to
make the task easier.
The mental acrobatics needed to articulate the complexities of this topic are compounded by the
potential clash of personal beliefs and objective analysis. One must grapple with the tension
between advocating for self-reliance in academic pursuits and acknowledging the pragmatic
reality that sometimes external help is sought for legitimate reasons.
In the end, crafting an essay on "Writing Essays Services" becomes a cerebral dance, a constant
negotiation between the act of writing, the subject matter itself, and the broader implications it
holds for education and personal growth. It's a journey through the labyrinth of words, ideas,
and ethical considerations, demanding not just linguistic prowess but also a reflective mindset.
In a world where the demands on one's time are ever-increasing, the notion of seeking external
assistance in the form of essay writing services may not be entirely unfounded. Similar essays,
grappling with the intricacies of this paradox, and exploring related themes can be found and
commissioned through platforms like HelpWriting.net. These services, designed to ease the
burden of expression, provide a testament to the evolving landscape of education and the
myriad ways individuals navigate its challenges.

Civilian Conservation Corps and the Great Depression
Our greatest task is to put people to work. This is no unsolvable problem if we face it
wisely and courageously. It can be accomplished in part by direct recruiting by the
government itself, treating the task as we would threat the emergency of war, but at
the same time, through this employment, accomplishing greatly needed projects to
stimulate and recognize the use of our national resources.
Franklin D. Roosevelt
March 4, 1933 Franklin Delano Roosevelt indeed turned the lives of many young
male Americans around. During a time when our economy was in the greatest
depression in U.S. history, he gave them hope and a light at the end of the tunnel by

We can eliminate to some extent at least the threat that enforced idleness brings to
spiritual and moral stability, in his message to Congress. On March 31, 1933
Roosevelt signed the bill into law and just six days later, the CCC was formed. His
ultimate goal was to have 250,000 men in the forest in just three short months.
(www.sos...) The CCC administration consisted of a director, Robert Fechner, and an
advisory board of representatives from the Departments of War, Agriculture, Interior,
and Labor. With the help of local boards, the Department of Labor selected the
enrollees. The War Department housed, clothed, and fed the men, and organized and
administered the camps. The Department of Agriculture and Interior planned the
work projects. (Smith)
In order to qualify for the program, the youth had to be between the ages of
seventeen and twenty three and a half years old, unemployed, and citizens of the

What kinds of attributes do civil engineers need
Civil engineers design major construction projects, such as roads, airports, tunnels,
dams and bridges. They also supervise project construction and maintenance. They
must possess a very broad skill set, from cost accounting to geology. Many civil
engineers have jobs that require a very hands on role in construction, while others
may have positions more heavily weighted toward supervisory and administrative
skills. They are often called upon to present reports to the public or government
officials. Whatever the details
To Kill A Mockingbird Lesson Analysis
Lessons Learned
Through life, many people go through the hard and important lessons, that they are
either taught by others or learn them for themselves. Intertwined with the plot of To
Kill a Mockingbird are lessons one can never forget. By actively using the
characters everyone absolutely loves to teach, the author puts across her point to
help others. With her writing style, Harper Lee connects the reader to significant
aspects of the book to help learn lessons. In Harper Lee s To Kill a Mockingbird,
some of the most evident and clearly illustrated lessons are the importance of
innocence, courage and honor. The well known novel, shows many instances where a
character displays innocence. A few of the many are Scout, Jem, and Uncle Jack.
Scout displays innocence many ways in the book through conversations and actions.
In chapter 15, a mob threatens to hurt Atticus for defending Tom Robinson. Scout, not
knowing of the mob s intentions, starts to make idle chatter with Mr. Cunningham
which reminds him they are friends and neighbors which, in turn, forces the mob to
die down. At this point, Scout innocently saved Atticus from a terrible fate. Another
example of Scout s innocence occurred when she was talking to Miss Caroline as
she was trying to innocently explain Walter Cunningham could not pay her back for
lunch because of his family s financial complications. Miss. Caroline took this
misunderstanding as rude behavior on Scout s part and decided to punish her for the

BACKGROUND
I am proposing for a library to be put into the Exton campus of Delaware County
Community College. There is currently not a library at this location. In order to have
the use of a campus library we must go to the main campus of the college, which is
approximately thirty to forty minutes from the Exton location. There are many ...

A library that is closer for students would promote good learning habits and study
skills. Students may not wait until the last minute to do their projects and papers
because resources are more readily available to them.
PROPOSED ENVIRONMENT
The proposed environment will consist of a fully functioning library that is open to
students and faculty free of charge. If an outside member of the community would
like to use the library the school could charge them a small membership fee. This
will help to raise revenue for the college and the library.
For the first few years the library may be small but as years pass the library can
expand to have more books, magazines, research materials, computers, etc. The
library can also share with the main campus library in order to expand their materials
and capabilities. I think many students and teachers would support the addition of a
library to the campus.
When the library is first constructed it should have at least a thousand books, several
magazine subscriptions, and fifteen computers. Ten of the computers should be
connected to the Internet and have common programs that students would use to
write research papers and create presentations. The other five computers should be
connected to research databases only such as Ebsco. There should also be a ?quiet
area? where students can study, do homework, research material, read, write papers,
etc. A ?quiet area? would give
The Winter Solstice And Northern Hemisphere
When the earth rotates on its axis it starts to changes seasons. But that s depending
where you live you and if you are on the different sides of the earth. That are known
as the Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere. I say this because it may be
summer in America but winter in Australia. But it can also change the weather if you
think about it because during the different seasons the temperature changes. For
example where we live it gets really hot over one hundred Fahrenheit. But in the
winter time it usually stays over Thirty Five Fahrenheit. But that s because of the
Summer Solstice. The Summer Solstice is one of the biggest parts of one of our
seasons. The seasonI m talking about is known as summer because that... Show more

Then there is winter and it starts to get cold but we still see the sun. That s because
during the winter time the days are getting shorter and we are now tilted down not
up. When earth tilts on its axis one side of earth is facing up to the sun and having
summer well the other is titled the down having winter. The tilt changes position
when it traveling around the sun so that s one reason why we don t always have
summer. You may be asking yourself why is it cold in the winter time when the
sun out. Well that s because during the winter time we get less sunlight and what
also happens is that the heat kind of shrinks. During the Summer Solstice we know
that it s the hottest day. But that s because it is when the sun is shining the
brightest on us. So when the days start to get shorter so does the light and so it
goes from this really huge thing of sun light to just shining on one place on earth
but we can still see because of how big the sun is. The Earth s Axis tilts at twenty
three point five degrees and the earth goes around that axis every day or also
known as twenty four hours. I say this because I m going to bring up The Wobble
effect and how earth rotates. So we already know that it rotates at a twenty three
point five degrees but if I told it could change over the years. Well it can because in
thirteen thousand years earth will be
Harley Davidson International Management
I.Summary of the case study Harley Davidson В– rockers idol
So, this case study is about Harley Davidson, a brand of motorcycles and more
precisely about its development since his foundation in 1903 by 21 year old William
S. Harley and 20 year old Arthur Davidson.
So, in 2003, it was the celebration of the 100th birthday of the Harley Davidson. And,
in order to commemorate it, fans of this famous brand rode until Milwaukee to see
the parade of 10 000 Harley Davidson motorcycles. Through this celebration, we can
see how recognized this brand is for the owners, or should I say fans. Indeed, this
case also shows how the strategy and the marketing of Harley Davidson are good;
because Harley has fans and they will do all they can for ... Show more content on

The main interest of this group is to ensure members to know each other, and
become a second family who share the same interests, wills, and thoughts. And this
strategy ensures Harley Davidson to maintain a strong relationship with its
customers, and thus a strong brand name all over the world. According to
customers, the owners of H D say that this brand understand them and their needs,
and also that they are always there if a problem appears. These remarks can be
linked with Harley Davidson s values. Indeed, according to H D Our values are the
heart of how we run our business. They guide our actions and serve as the framework
for the decisions and contributions our employees make at every level of the
Company. (www.harleydavidson.com); these values are:
Be Fair
Tell the Truth
Keep Your Promises
Respect the Individual
Encourage Intellectual Curiosity
We can also link this strategy with the mission statement of Harley Davidson:
We fulfill dreams through the experience of motorcycling by providing to
motorcyclists and to the general public an expanding line of motorcycles and branded
products and services in selected market segments

Gender Roles And The Mere Existence Of A Gender Binary
Essay
Final Essay: Rough Draft Gender roles, and the mere existence of a gender binary,
has been a recent topic of conversation for many churches, theologians, and individual
believers. As the cultural pressure to remove gender specific limitations builds, many
of those aforementioned have turned to scripture for answers. Seldom are women s
roles in the Old Testamentcharacterized by decision making or personal merits.
Rather, a womans capacity to produce an heir for their husband complements his
dominance and responsible faithfulness and allows God s plan to be fulfilled through
their combined efforts. In the New Testament, through the transformative power of
Christ, prominent women became less of an anomaly, but were still held to a
different set of standards and expectations than men and were usually still praised
according to their actions and their faith. The Pauline epistles, written in the context
in which the Church still exists today: the age to come, provide a basis for today s
understanding of women s roles in marriage and in church leadership. Although there
are many instances of women fulfilling God s plans and proving their worth among
the community of Christians, the biblically normative role of women is to avoid
authoritative church leadership positions and remain submissive in situations of
teaching and interpreting the Word. When the biblespeaks of women, rarely is the
conversation characterized by a lack of respect for upstanding, God fearing women

Why Did The Us Invade Afghanistan
Why did the US invade Afghanistan in 2001?
Theoretically, it holds that the United States (US) invaded Afghanistan as a self
defense strategy following the 9/11 attacks. Practically, however, as US foreign
policy is about conquest, self protection and resource extraction, it seeks strategic
dominance of geographical space to sustain its global relevance. The rationality of the
US suggests the need to continuously accumulate capital, resources and military
proficiency to ensure autonomy. Therefore, a pragmatic reading into the motivation
behind the invasion of Afghanistan negates the self defense theory. Rather, the
shifting coordinates of power within central and southern Asia crafted the perfect
criteria for US intervention. This work explores the motivations and systemic cover
ups designed by the Bush administration in ordering military troops into Afghanistan
in 2001. It will hold that this invasion was not just a War on Terror, but rather a tactic
to ensure US prevalence within the region, and henceforth, the rest of the world.
Thus, why did the US invade Afghanistan?
At the start of the new millennium, China became rapidly known as the fastest
growing economy sparking the greatest shift of relative power in history.
Coincidence, or not, Afghanistan s narrow border with China made it a perfect
strategic target to presume military presence within the Asian region. Arguably, the
invasion of Afghanistan lays largely on a tactical plan designed by the US to resist
Earth from Space
As beautiful as the earth is from the ground it is even more stunning from
international space stations. There are approximately 120 artificial satellites in space
starting at a distance of 100 to 25,000 miles from the ground. There are many
different types of Artificial Satellites, each with a distinct job. Some Artificial
Satellites help predict the weather, while others gather information about the universe
for organizations like NASA. Satellites can see things far beyond human vision; they
transform things invisible to the naked eye into visible images.
These transformed images show how the sunlight, moisture, land and atmosphere
react together to make life on earth possible. These insights help scientists relate
between the planet and it s life. So, what exactly makes life? What are the essential
components, which make life possible on this planet? Why do sand storms in the
Sahara affect the amazon rain forest 5000 miles away? The video Earth from Space
helps us understand the effects of forces on this planet.
It starts with the Sun, at a distance of 93 million miles away from the earth; it
warms every inch on the surface. One of the newer satellites by NASA called
Suomi National Polar orbiting which was launched in 2011, orbits 500 miles away
from ground. It enables us to see more substances. For instance, the spectrum is as
long as the distance from New York to Los Angeles. In comparison, the visible
region to the human eye would be the size of a dime. The

When Dean recognized his favorite song song, a smile tugged at the corners of his
lips, his eyes growing bright. Using all the strength I had, I pulled my best friend
out of his wheelchair, taking his wrinkled hand into mine. We sway to the beat,

Louis Armstrong crooned in the background and a hunchbacked man smiled at me
from across the room. This was not your ordinary day care center.
As Open Circle s staff started to assign students to different clients in the large
room, I struggled to not let the disappointment show on my face. Here I was,
excited to spend a day with little kids: playing dress up, Barbies, hide and go seek,
but instead, I ended in up in an old folks home. I sighed heavily, at least I got out of
gym class.
One of the staff members looked at me. McCrae, how about you go talk to Dean.
I scanned the room, looking for a name tag labeled Dean. And there it was,
plastered to the sweater of the hunchbacked man that has smiled at me. He looks
just like a turtle... his head pulled in close to his shoulders, back rounded, he was
even wearing green. I walked over to him, trying to bring a sincere smile to my face.
Hey Dean! My name is McCrae. Can I sit with you?
A gentle stare was my response. I plopped down in a chair next to him anyways,
realizing that starting a conversation with this man would not be easy.
So, Dean, how are you?
No response.
What s your favorite color? Mine is pink. Or blue. Or purple. I really can t decide.
Nothing. I sighed, looking around the room, waiting for a good question to pop out at
me.
Dean! You are right next to the radio! Do you like music?
A simple nod. But I noticed the older
Attrition From Higher Education Institution
1. INTRODUCTION
Attrition from Higher Education Institution (HEI) programmes is worryingly on the
increase (Russell Group 2010). However, students that drop out of pre registration
nursing programmes are of particular concern, not only to the HEI but the
Government and the NHS also due to the requirement to meet the needs of the NHS
recruitment and demands of an increasingly ageing society that relies on qualified
nurses (DOH 2007). Indeed the type of funding that student nurses receive and the
amount of money that is invested by Strategic Health Authorities (SHA) and
Government in them suggests that attrition is a costly problem (DOH 2009).
It is difficult to gather specific statistical data regarding attrition rates as ... Show
more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A more recent report produced by the Department of Health states that the attrition
rate from pre registration nursing programmes stands at 16% (DOH 2010). This
statistic differs greatly from the national average of 27% reported direct to the RCN
by the HEIs. The United Kingdom figures do generally appear favourable however
compared to countries such as Italy (65%) and the USA (37%) (International Audit
office, 2007).
Statistics produced by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (2011) highlight that
the percentage drop out rate for students on all types of Degree level programmes is
relatively low at approximately 10% whereas for those studying the Diploma level
programme the drop out rate increases to 17%. Therefore the statistics identified for
attrition from pre registration nursing programmes are higher that the average
attrition rate of all other Degree and Diploma programmes.
A higher completion rate among pre registration nurses will enhance the NHS
workforce of qualified nurses and will help towards the Department of Health Our
Health, Our Care, Our Say (DOH 2006a) goal to ensure individual excellence of care
for all. Higher retention of students would also aide the HEIs involved in the
education of pre registration nursing as SHA and Government targets will be met and

Comparing Marge Piercy s Barbie Doll And Richard Cory
The ugly truth Being an outcast in society is not fun. People just want to be
accepted for who they are and live their life in peace. That can be hard when we
live in a world where we demand so much. Barbie doll by Marge Piercy and
Richard Cory by Edward Arlington Robinson, show that no matter how happy
someone looks on the outside, they may feel miserable and destructive on the
inside. Both stories compare and contrast two perspectives from a man and a
woman; they demonstrate how society affects them both in different ways. The
reality of what you perceive from someone, is not always accurate. Marge Piercy
was born March 31, 1936 in Detroit. However, Marge didn t meet the ideal image of

standards everyone forced upon her, and instead decides to commit suicide. So she

acceptance she wanted from them. In the casket displayed on satin she lay with
the undertaker s cosmetics painted on, a turned up putty nose, dressed in a pink

Richard Cory was loved by many and was highly respected, unlike The Barbie doll.
Richard Cory was admired dearly by the whole neighborhood. Mr.Cory had

though the people didn t know him personally, they still wished to be exactly like

The topic I chose for the research paper was O Bannon vs. NCAA, because I found
this case has lots of aspects worth discussing, like one of the defendants is
Electronic Arts Inc., a videogame corporation (I played lots of videogames from
EA like NBA LIVE series and FIFA series and I do love them), which made me
curious, I would like to know more about EA did in this case and how these actions
affected the judgment.
Plaintiffs are a group of current and former college student athletes. They brought this
antitrust class action against the National Collegiate Athletic Association(NCAA) in
2009 to challenge the association s rules restricting compensation for elite men s
football and basketball players. In particular, Plaintiffs seek to challenge the set of
rules that bar student athletes from receiving a share of the revenue that the NCAA
and its member schools earn from the sale of licenses to use the student athletes
names, images, and likenesses in videogames, live game telecasts, and other footage.
Plaintiffs contend that these rules violate the Sherman Antitrust Act. The NCAA
denies this charge and asserts that its restrictions on student athlete compensation are
necessary to uphold its educational mission and to protect the popularity of collegiate
sports. (O Bannon
The Argument For Genocide In Nazi Propaganda
Much later, Randall L. Bytwerk analyzed genocidal propaganda in his 2005 article
The Argument for Genocide in Nazi Propaganda. He argues that the most significant
way to argue a final solution for the Jews is by convincing the population that it was a
matter of life or death. The NSDAP government had to communicate this victim
perpetrator complex enough so that a maximum amount of people would consume
this information and be able to take it as an irrefutable, imminent danger. As Kim
Wunschman stated in her article on Jewish discrimination, the SS had to transform
German Jews from a heterogeneous minority group within society to outsiders
regarded as a homogeneous group of enemies to be excluded from any form of
communal life ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Additionally, they seemed to not want to take part in the final solution; therefore,
Bytwerk supposes that had the Nazis won the war, the German public would not
have been concerned what had become of the Jews (Bytwerk 56). This would go in
accordance with the widespread indifference of the German population along with the
already present suppression of concentration camp details. As a result, the government
legitimately reduced the Jewish population to the status of Giorgio Agamben s
coined term, homo sacer. That is, Nazis could justly kill Jews but not sacrifice them.
They could not be sacrificed since they already belonged to the gods and killing them
would not change their condition (Agamben 73). The sovereign is the only entity
which could be in authority to denote homo sacer and can do so only in the name of
preservation. In this case, the German government was the sovereign entity which
legitimately dehumanized the Jewish by reinforcing a self preservation rhetoric with
consistent propaganda. The Nazi government knew if they had bluntly presented
details on the Jewish camps and their plan of execution, the German population
would be shocked and likely unsupportive (Bytwerk 56). Moreover, the government
knew it did not need to garner undeniable support; it only needed to convince the
population that what it planned to do was best for the Germany.
Poisonwood Bible Thesis
Moving cities is hard enough but picking up your family and leaving the only
country you have ever known to go to a continent where you do not speak the
language or understand the customs has to be completely mind boggling. The
novel The Poisonwood Bible opens with Orleanna Price describing the sensory
input of the Congolese Jungle. As a reader her description allows you to close your
eyes and see the Congolese Jungle as if you are there walking through it too. The
Congolese Jungle sounds like an unforgiving place which adds a suspenseful sense
to the already questionable beginning. While one can not exactly know what is
going to take place, the description allows you to know that whatever it is will not be
good. As Orleanna continues her narration she uses the word you repeatedly.... Show

I believe Orleanna tells the story looking back on Africa because she experienced
Africa as a grown woman. Nothing from her experience in the Congo was sugar
coated and for all anyone knows she may have PTSD from the experience and
these are recurring nightmares. Whereas the girls tell it as if it is happening in the
present because they are young and only coming of age as their experience in
Africa takes off. Being so young they probably did not see all Africa had to offer the
way their mother did. The author of The Poisonwood Bible, Barbara Kingsolver,
gives each sister their very own distinct voice. She allows them to have their own
personalities through word choice and sentence structure. I do not find one specific
sister s voice more compelling than another. However, Ruth Mae s obliviousness as a
5 year old does pull at the heartstrings. Each girl has her own redeeming qualities that

The Invention Of The Electron Microscope By Ernst
Ruska...
In the scientific community, there have been many advancements in the technologies
and processes used to help us understand the truth of the world around us. The
invention of the electron microscope by Ernst Ruska and Max Knoll in 1933 is just
an example of one of these advancements. There is another advancement that has
roots over one hundred and sixty million years old, and that is the green fluorescent
protein(GFP). The fluorescence from GFP molecules has made it feasible to look
through a microscope at a spatial resolution higher than the diffraction limit. The
green fluorescent proteinwas first found in the Aequorea Victoria, or the crystal
jellyfish. It is a bioluminescent hydrozoan jellyfish, or hydromedusa (1). In the
crystal jellyfish, there are two proteins that are responsible for its bioluminescent,
aequorin and GFP. They are both located in the photo organs of the jellyfish. The
jellyfish releases calcium ions which the aequorin binds to. The process of binding
gives off a blue light, which is then absorbed by the GFP. The blue light absorbed is
then converted into the green light that GFP is named for (2). At the moment there
is no apparent reason for the bioluminescence displayed by the Aequorea Victoria
since it has not been observed being used as a defense mechanism or as a signalling
mechanism. Osamu Shimomura was the first person to isolate the GFP. He started to
study the bioluminescence of crystal jellyfish at Princeton University in 1960 and he

Dr Jekyll And Hyde Character Analysis
Well, first thing and the most obvious is that Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are the part
of each other. When Dr. Jekyll turns into Mr. Hyde, he is freer do as he pleases. As
him, he can go about doing whatever he wants and not have a care in the world. Its
like when a person does things just because they are able to. Other reason for Dr.
Jekyll protecting Mr. Hyde is because of the murders that he committed, while he
was transformed to Mr. Hyde. One of the crimes that Mr. Hyde commits is when
he starts acting like a madman to an older gentleman. The maid says, and at that
Mr. Hyde broke out of all bounds and clubbed him to the earth. And the next
moment, with ape like fury, he was trampling his victim under foot and hailing
down a storm of blows, under which the bones were audibly shattered, and the
body jumped upon the roadway (Stevenson 1688). With such a gruesome act
committed by Mr. Hyde, you can see why Dr. Jekyll wants to protect him. I believe
also that Dr. Jekyll does this because deep inside, he likes the commit these acts for
pleasure. In his regular form, Dr. Jekyll is a kind and sociable person. He does
everything right and everyone likes him. Behind, all that niceness lies a dark secret
kept by Dr. Jekyll. That is, he wants to be a bad guy. By him creating the potion, that
allows him to turn into Mr. Hyde gives him the opportunity to commit those vices that
he has. The reason why, he wants to protect him, so much is simple, so he can
continue committing these
Cigarette Smoking And Its Effects On The Human Body
It is widely understood that cigarette smoking carries many serious health risks,
especially for cardiovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis and hypertension
(Rahman et al. 2007). Studies have shown that cigarettes release over 4000
different chemicals, all of which can wreak havoc on the every organ of the human
body, especially the cardiovascular and pulmonary system, when inhaled (Jonas et
al., 1992; Sin and Man 2003). Over 200 people die every day from complications due
to cigarettesmokingin the United States alone, and smoking cigarettes causes an
estimated 76% of all vascular disease (Czermin and Waldherr, 2003; Cole et al.,
1993). It therefore stands to reason that cigarette smoking and how it specifically
effects the human body would be an extremely relevant area of study.
It has been consistently shown that cigarette smoking impairs endothelial dependent
vasodilation in humans (Ueda et al., 1997; Poredos et al., 1999; Campisi et al. 1998,
1999). It also increases the blood plasma levels of endothelin in both humans and
rats (Wright et al., 2001; Goerre et al. 1995; Haak et al., 1994). But until now,
researchers have not been able to determine what the effects of increased endothelin
levels due to cigarette smoking have on the vascular system, specifically on vascular
contractility (Rahman et al., 2007). This is of particular interest because increased
endothelin levels have been shown to play a part in atherosclerosis pathogenesis
(Haak et. Al, 1994). In this

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen
you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Taken directly
from God s Word, I was reminded by my Professor this week of one of my favorite
verses from the book of Isaiah. Interestingly enough, before I began my venture into
higher education, I was scared: scared of failure, scared of the commitment it would
require, and even scared of the possibility that I just might not be cut out for the task
ahead. This verse, Isaiah 41:10, along with several other Scriptures, helped to assure

Just as 1 Corinthians 13:11 reminds us, When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I
understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away
childish things, even my style of learning has changed. Until this semester, I would
say that of course I had the characteristics to be a successful online student; how
hard could it be? But, ironically, during the same week that I first read Taormino s
article, I began to fall behind in my classes. As I write this paper, I m juggling extra
duties at home while my wife and I both recover from a nasty car accident.
Fortunately neither of us were seriously hurt, but because my wife already suffers
from a chronic autoimmune disease, even her minor injuries were enough to throw
her into a painful exacerbation. What does this have to do with my online education?
Well, everything, to be honest. All of the time I normally had set aside for my
coursework must now be devoted to the daily management of our home (things that
my wife usually takes care of). It s astonishing how quickly time gets away from us! I
ve learned through this series of unfortunate events that I must take control of my
time, rather than allowing it to take control of me. As Taormino asserts, Students need
to plan their time accordingly to have sufficient opportunity to complete assignments
and work iteratively based on feedback. Without time

Want to grow bigger, better edibles? It s as simple as adding compost.
Compost enhances soil by slowly adding nutrients. With added compost, veggie
plants grow stronger, so they can better resist diseases and pests. Plus, compost helps
make soil easier to work while helping it better retain water.
Below are the five simplest ways to add compost to your edible garden.

Toss Compost in a Tumbler
Image ID: 141498154
Perfect for small space gardens, compact tumblers make composting super easy and
fast. Toss in food, garden and grass scraps, and spin tumbler 3 4 times a week. Speed
up the process by adding a compost starter.
3. Bring Compost to a Bin
Image ID: 105818294
Just like trash cans, compost bins fit in any space and even have animal proof lids.
To start, simply pop garden and food scraps in your bin. Compost bins take longer to
create compost since you don t need to turn it.
4. Put Compost in a Pile

Starting a compost pile is as simple as it sounds. Pick a place, and start piling up
your green scraps. If only composting leaves and garden scraps, start a pile anywhere
outside. If composting food scraps, build a wooden structure to deter pests.
5. Dig and Drop Compost

Essay on Atmosphere in The Hound of the Baskervilles
The Hound of the Baskervilles
How does Sir Arthur Conan Doyle develop and maintain an eerie atmosphere
throughout his novel The Hound of the Baskervilles?
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle s novel, the Hound of the Baskervilles, was originally
published as a novel in 1902. This was an age when many people were interested in
historical matters to do with things like ancient documents and there ancestors. Many
of the popular books were in the supernatural and detective genres. These books were
particularly popular with male readers and this is often due to the amount of main
characters being male.
The Hound of the Baskervilles was originally published episodically in the Strand
magazine from August 1901 through to April 1902. Each... Show more content on

That night he had a party with friends of his, Hugo and his friend s drank lots of

The pack continued on to find Hugo lying on the floor next to the maid with a

Observable Behavioral Differences Between Men And
Women
It s interesting how many researchers found what they were looking for, as this has
been common in research, science, and even philosophy throughout history. Freud,
who came up with the idea of an Oedipus complex, based his theories of women on
a few upper middle class women in Vienna suffering from psychological disorders.
He based his findings on men on an even smaller sample. Freud wasn t the only
person. Much like how many brain researchers find exactly what they are looking
for, and what they are looking for are the brain based differences that explain the
observable behavioral differences between adult women and adult men (Kimmel, 35).
Since these craniologists believed that men and women were different and that men
were better, they compared men s and women s test scores. Women did better, so they

Kimmel states that it is interesting to see that women s drive, ambition, and
industriousness were used against them but that men were not faulted for
impulsiveness, impatience, and laziness (35). Despite the results of the study being
inconclusive (assuming the researchers were correct in saying women had better
memories and worked harder), men were still shown as being better than women.
People have been finding what they were looking for as long as people have been
looking for answers to their questions. Philosopher RenГ© Descartes is an example
of this from 17th century France. One of the things all philosophers looked for until
Nietzsche was an ultimate, undeniable truth. To do this, Descartes doubted everything
until he found something that he couldn t prove wrong. The first thing he found was
that he existed because he was thinking. But if he existed he had to

The Gap Between The Rich And Poor Essay
I was born and brought up in Nairobi, Kenya. Demographically, my family was
typically part of Kenya s urban poor. As a young boy, I was constantly confronted
by the realities and debilitating impact of poverty. At the age of twelve, I was
transferred from a Nairobi based primary school to a boarding primary school in rural
Kenyawhere I eventually excelled and emerged the best in the district during national
examinations, earning me admission to one of the best high schools in the country.
While in high school, I not only developed my leadership skills as a school prefect
and a deputy school captain but also discovered new talent as I went on to become a
national champion in national operatic music competitions. Talent and education
opened up my eyes to a world of possibilities and opportunities beyond my
imagination.
Nonetheless, the reality of the gap between the rich and poor remained stark in
darker shades of black and lighter shades of white. To me, the root and the problem
of poverty was no longer shrouded in a gray shroud of mystery. It dawned on me
that education a necessary condition to the emancipation of the poor from the
shackles of hopeless travail. It was through education that, for the first time, options
were laid out in front of me. I could choose a different future for myself and my
future offspring. I could fathom a flat world, one that presented equal opportunity to
all, regardless of tribe, gender or social background. I could choose to be part of the
Factors that Contribute to Global Warming, Such as
Carbon...
Over the recent years, global warming has become a hot topic, due to the melting of
polar ice caps and extreme temperature changes across the globe. Since 1960, the
percentage of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere has increased by 20%, which is the
highest recorded in 800,000 years. The true question though is whether this is due to
natural causes or whether it s the impact humans have on the earths delicate
ecosystem.
The main signs that global warming is currently affecting our world is the rapid
temperature changes in certain areas causing wild weather such as tropical storms
and floods. Sea levels are rising as an effect of melting of the polar icecaps which are
effectively increasing the levels of water in our oceans and rivers. There is no doubt
that global warming is currently happening on our precious planet, but there are many
that argue it is the environments natural lifecycle rather than a contribution to
greenhouse gases that humans have caused recently.
Although there are many biological factors that could affect the process of global
warming, it can be argued that humans are the primary cause. The amount of waste
produced by humans each year has increased due to our rapidly growing population,
which pollutes our natural environment with waste products such as plastic bags,
bottles or even metal cans. Because of our dumping of waste into our countrysides, it
is debatable that dumping is another main polluter that releases carbon dioxide into
our precious
Importance Of Deserving My Education
I am deserving of this award due to how I have faced the challenges in my life to
continue and improve my education. Throughout my life I ve made sacrifices that
most of my peers would not do willingly. From childhood I knew that achieving the
best grades and challenging myself in academics would allow me to pursue what I
wanted later in life, and I knew it wouldn t be easy. I have sacrificed uncountable
amounts of hours that I could have spent with friends or doing other fun activities,
to study for my classes. As an example, my mom s side of the family has had many
funerals in the recent past. I have chose to miss some of these funerals to stay in
school. I do not do this because I don t love my relatives. I miss the funerals
because I know how important school is, and that my relatives would want me to
succeed in getting a great education and achieving my goals. Making major
sacrifices like this allowed me to keep a 4.0 G.P.A. throughout my educational
career, and deepen my knowledge of world around me. Not only have I been able to
make the sacrifices needed to keep myself ahead of game, but I ve also managed to
master my time management skills.
I have always loved soccer, and I have push myself time and time again to work at
becoming the best I can be. So, when I came into high school and the load of school
work and time dedicated to soccer increased, and I knew had to find a way to
balance both. This is an issue I constantly see my peers struggling with, but not me. I
The Supreme Court Case Of Buck Vs. Bell
Buck vs. Bell The Supreme Court case of Buck v. Bell in 1997 is a lawsuit in which
the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a Virginia law that offered the eugenic sterilization
for individuals regarded genetically unfit. The Supreme Court s decision to uphold
Virginia s statute regarding sterilization provided the basis for enactment of similar
laws across the United States and subsequent sterilization of 65,000 Americans
without their approval or that of their family members. Notably, the ruling of this
case was based on the concept of feeblemindedness, which is no longer applicable in
medical terminology. Actually, this case primarily involved state enforced eugenic
sterilization for individuals considered feebleminded or genetically substandard in
certain ways. The case provides considerable insights concerning eugenicsand
enforced sterilization in the United States and significant concerns on whether
genetics should be used for any king of legal decision.
Case Summary As previously mentioned, the Supreme Court case of Buck vs. Bell
in 1927 was a lawsuit that entailed state enforced eugenic sterilization for
individuals regarded feebleminded or somehow genetically substandard. Carrie
Buck, the plaintiff, together with her mother had been devoted to the Virginia
Colony of Epileptics and Feeble Minded in Virginia (Eugenics Archive, n.d.). The
two were judged to be genetically inferior or feebleminded and immoral since they
had children out of wedlock. Moreover, Carrie Buck s child
Challenger Rhetorical Analysis Essay
Well known president, Ronald Reagan, in his address to the nation, Explosion of
the Space Shuttle Challenger, expresses grief for the explosion of the Challenger.
Reagan s purpose is to commemorate the seven men and women, who lost their
lives and offer hope to those who will continue to explore space. He creates a sad,
yet hopeful tone in order to convey to America, we all mourn the loss of the
Challenger Seven, but our space program will continue. Reagan begins his address
to the nation by stating he postponed his State of the Union address to pay tribute to
the Challenger Seven. He also appeals to the audiences pathos by stating he and his
wife, Nancy, are pained to the core by this horrific tragedy. By stating this he appeals
to the audience s sorrowful emotions. He also declares today is a day for mourning
and remembering and this is truly a national tragedy, which delves deeper into the
audience s sorrowful emotions. He, then, joins the nation in mourning this loss, to

But for the past 25 years the United States space program has been doing just that.

Is it even worse in Europe? the Guerrilla Girls latest exhibition questions and
examines todays art museums in Europe on the controversial subject of diversity.
This exhibition was supported by Valeria Napoleone XX and Co curator Nayia
Yiakoumaki in helping the feminist group exhibit their work at the Whitechapel
gallery.
Revisiting back to their past project in 1986, the It s even worse in Europe exhibition
which targeted mainstream art museum directors and artists, the Guerrilla Girls come
back in 2016 to question whether their original statistics have shifted over time.
Areas that the Guerrilla Girls particularly engage in are the cases of feminism, racism
and sexism particularly situated around the arts.
With this project, we wanted to pose the question Are museums today presenting a
diverse history of contemporary art or the history of money and power? We focus on
the understory, the subtext, the overlooked and the downright unfair. Art can t be
reduced to the small number of artists who have won a popularity contest among
bigtime dealers, curators and collectors. Unless museums and Kunsthallen show as
diverse as the cultures they claim to represent, they re just preserving the history of
wealth and power. ( Whitechapel gallery Guerrilla Girls web).
When approaching the Whitechapel Gallery in London, I was instantaneously drawn
to the iconic, bold banners mounted up on the gallery building, along with images

Why Video Games Have Made A Shift Into Mainstream Pop
Culture
The term pop culture can be defined as The culture of the people a culture that
flourishes through social interaction and mass media that is most actively involved
in by the public. Pop culture can cover a wide range of materials and as such should
be looked at as a topic open to discussion, interpretation as to why it is popular and
what makes it popular. Since pop cultureincludes an expansive spectrum of subjects
I am going to be focusing on one of those and that is Video games. In this essay I
will be exploring the ideas and theories of why I believe video games have made a
shift into mainstream pop culture.
Culture
Before I start discussing video games I would like to explore the ideas of how
cultures emerge and how this eventually relates to my study. Lehman, D. R., Chiu,
C. Y., Schaller, M. (2004) in Annual review of Psychology define culture as
represents a coalescence of discrete behavioural norms and cognitions shared by
individuals within some definable population that are distinct from those shared
within other populations These beliefs and behaviour whatever they may be in
any culture can give us a backing for realising individual or group goals that can
often be categorised in a variety of formal or informal ways. For example we could
look at the eSports international events of League of legends as a formal
organization of a culture in effect, we have official merchandise, promotions,
advertising, a massive fan base and of course the athletes
Reflection Of Fortress Bank
This summer, I had the pleasure of interning at Fortress Bank, previously known as
First State Bank of Illinois, at the branch in Monmouth Illinois. The internship
surrounded topics that correlated with my international business degree. I gained first
hand experience with everything from financial regulations to loans. It was
wonderful to be able to take concepts outside of the classroom and see how they are
applicable within the international business world, specifically the world of banking.
The company Fortress Bank, previously known as First State Bank of Illinois 10
branches. Branches are located in Monmouth, Macomb, LaHarpe, Peoria, Carthage,
Hamilton, Pekin, Blandinsville, Colusa, and Bettendorf. The company has been
privately owned since its inception in 1904. The bank recently underwent
monumental rebranding as the name of the bank changed in order to allow for the
new Bettendorf branch opening in early 2018 in Eastern Iowa. The name First State
Bank simply was not going to be applicable to future Iowan customers. The name
change was purely cosmetic and has had no change on any other aspects of the
business. Everything from the bank s routing number to phone number has stayed
the same. Customers will simply be receiving updated checks and debit cards with
the name Fortress Bank when they run out of checks or their debit cards expire. Until
then, everything with the name First State Bank of Illinois will still be applicable.

The Importance Of Obstetric Services For Pregnant
Women...
1.) Obstetric services are provided to pregnant women for before, during, and after
birth. These services are very expensive; however, they are very important.
Discontinuing these practices could create a multiple of problems. A pregnancy
can be a very scary time in a women s life, especially if this is her first birth.
Obstetricians help a soon to be mother understand a variety of different facts, such
as due date, nutrition for the fetus, monitoring complications and so much more!
With such a heavy expense with not equal return, hospitals are beginning to stop
these services. The article by Commins explained how hospitals are cutting the
costs by having a family doctor deliver a child, instead of hiring obstetricians.
Without a specialist there could be a raise in postnatal deaths. My older sister was
born with the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck. Without a team of
specialized, well trained doctors, my sister may have not of survived. Not only would
the death rate of infants increase, women would also feel uneasy about their
pregnancy. Take Moberly, Missouri for example, the Moberly Rural Health Clinic
is about 30 minutes from where I grew up. Moberly Rural Health Clinic has one
obstetrician/gynecologist for labor, which is awesome for those who live in the
surrounding area. I visited my little cousins who had just been born there. It was a
happy experience; if my aunt had to drive an hour to Columbia to give birth she
could have not made it to the University
Computer Input Technologies By Alan Turing
Computer Input Technologies
Introduction The interaction between humans and the machine is a relatively new
science. When considering how the inputs to a computer started out, it is interesting
to observe just how little has changed. For example, the QWERTY keyboard as part
of the typewriter invented in the 1870s(2) far predates the concept of the modern
digital computer as described by Alan Turing in 1936(3). Our tools to interact with
our own machines have however been refined to be more convenient for the average
user with interfaces such as optimised USB and layout studied for ergonomy. In
recent years, input technologies have not only been improved but brand new ones
have emerged like motion control for example. The future is bright ... Show more

Furthermore, trackballs are still quite common as scrollwheels in computer mouse
devices. Interestingly, the invention of the computer ball mouse in 1968 sprang
directly from the invention of the trackball. In a sense, the ball mouse is a
reversed version of the same device. The trackball rolls on the surface instead of
the user s hands, however the tracking operates in the same way(1). This innovation
in existing technology meant that the handheld type design would later be
upgraded as newer technologies took its place. Today, the ball mouse has been
largely replaced by the optical and laser mouse. These types of mouse devices use
LEDs to emit light onto the surface on which it sits, the reflected light is analysed by
a set of photodiodes. Whether the mouse is laser or not depends on if the LEDs emit
coherent light (laser) or not (optical). The main drawback of the optical mouse is that
they only function on opaque and matte surfaces as they depend on the light
reflecting the surfaces imperfections. The precision however is much improved from
the ball mouse. Furthermore, less moving parts means more durability. The mouse
really opened up the horizon for user interface navigation making it a key turning
point in the history of input technologies.

The keyboard has been for decades the main textual input device. In terms

The Welfare State and Government Responses to Economic Openness
I. Introduction Economic openness is the phenomenon in which individual
economies from all over the world become increasingly connected and
interdependent through greater liberalization of trade and the vast movement of
goods, services, and capital across borders. With the rise of globalization, positive
effects have resulted from economic openness. The widespread benefits of
globalization have resulted in global economic growth, prosperity, and have
increased the overall standard of living in the world. However, globalization has also
been blamed as being the principal culprit for numerous global problems including

The welfare state looked doomed, with no power to counter the economic horror of
the global market. Although the welfare state was perceived to be in decline,
economic openness brought significant benefits to the both the domestic and global
economies. The increase of free trade through the reduction of tariff and non tariff
barriers allowed consumers to purchase foreign goods and services at cheaper prices,
and foreign investors provided considerable amount of capital to the country as well
as job creation and technological innovation.
With its widespread of benefits, is globalization really a threat to social stability? Has
it advanced so far that national governments are essentially powerless to regulate their
economies and use their policy tools to further social ends? Although globalization
and the welfare state often diverge from another, globalization has not eroded
national sovereignty and capacity nearly as much as previously thought by skeptics
of globalization. National governments, particularly in the developed world, still
retain substantial autonomy in regulating their economies, in designing their social
policies, and in maintaining institutions that differ from their trading partners.
Globalization is what states make of it. Although governments have made some
concessions in recent years to accommodate the globalizing
Analysis Of Whedon s Joss Whedon
Joss Whedon is a writer of many successful TV shows. One of the reasons that his
shows have gained so much attention is because he likes to use them to present his
views on controversial topics. Joss does this by switching gender roles and using
powerful symbols. You can see this in both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dollhouse.
You can see this in both Buffy the Vampire Slayer
and Dollhouse. He does this in
order to change societies views on woman in society. To prove this I will give a
few powerful examples from each show that makes it perfectly clear how Joss feels
on the matter. Also, I want to talk a little about some of the speeches Joss has made
on television where he talks about his work and why he does it.
The most important role reversal in Buffy is quite obvious. It is the reversal of
rules between Buffy and her male sidekicks. Buffy this strong and witty girl who
run s around slaying vampires. While all of the male side characters are practically
useless. You can find an example of this in practically every episode. Starting with
episode 1 you see this when angle is following Buffy and she slips him and jumps
him. Or like in episode 5 when she has to save Giles from the super vamp after he
got knocked out yet again. Then there is Xander the most useless of all the male
characters. Xander is constantly trying to prove his manhood in the show to try and
impress the young attractive Buffy but it always ends the same, with Xander being
the damsel in distress and Buffy
The Benefits Of Technology In Education
If there were any facet of life that could be labeled as changing at light speed, that
industry would have to be technology. Technology is changing at such a rapid pace
most consumers can barely keep up. Gadget users are just getting used to their shiny
new smartphones when another upgrade is rolling off the production lines. Beyond
hand held technology, computing devices are light years better than technological
tools of the past. One area that technology has heavily impacted is that of education.
While technology has changed the landscape of the mainstream classroom, it has
completely changed the realm of instruction for children diagnosed with Autism
Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other disabilities. Since 2015, I have served in various
roles within the Special Education department of Frederick County Public Schools.
Having worked closely with some of the most challenged students, I have personally
witnessed the benefits of technology for students diagnosed with Autism. Technology
is beyond helpful; however, it is continuously changing at a rapid pace that causes
school staff and parents always to be evaluating what tool is best for the student.
Devices and applications are not only transforming the classroom, but that are giving
individuals with ASD more freedom and confidence than ever before. Finally, parents
and school staff must be intentional about finding the correct device and apps for the
students and integrate them with intentionality.

Quality Assurance Meeting At Present
Quality Assurance Meeting
At present, the convening of this group is to assess a particular never event that
occurred in Huntsville Hospital last month. The National Quality Forum literally
defines a never event as a preventable adverse event occurring in a health care setting
that should never happen; like, wrong site surgery, patient falls, and medication errors
as examples (Gitlow et al., 2013). Discussion, explanations and resolutions are the
intended outcome of today s meeting.
Never Event
On June 3, 2015, the staff in the cardiovascular surgical suite (CVOR) allowed a
patient to fall to the floor when transferring the patient from the operating table to the
patient bed, following coronary artery bypass surgery. Regrettably, the patient
endured facial fractures, however, fortunately there was no harm to the surgical
procedure on the coronary arteries, head, lungs, drains, chest tubes or anywhere else.
Present in the surgical suite for the period of the incident included two certified nurse
anesthetists, two scrub technicians, one registered nurse, and one physician s assistant.
Following the closure of the surgical site, the appropriate dressings were applied, the
cardiothoracic surgeon left the surgical theater, and the patient was transferred to the
patient bed when the never event occurred.
Discussion
The opinions of the physicians, staff and management present at today s meeting
exist as uncontrollable patient factors and controllable environmental factors.

the University of Cal Poly Pomona there website states that there average is higher
than the school has predicted. Our six year graduation rate is 52 percent, higher than
the national average of 44 percent. (California State Polytechnic University).
Knowing that the percentage is higher than they have expected this means that it is
good for the school publicity. Even though San Diego University doesn t have that
high of a graduation rate their percentage is still above average. Based on the
caliber of students that attend San Diego State University we would expect an
overall graduation rate of 54.2%, however, students are graduating at a rate that is
11.8% higher. (San Diego Graduation Rate.) However, San Diego State University is

Enterprise content management (ECM) is the strategy of managing the content across
an organization, so that it can be retrieved from the database whenever it s required.
These content can be structured or unstructured and its very required for an
organization for its smooth running of process(Xue Yahya, 2012). Below figure
represents the steps involved in an ECM system of an organization.
Fig1.
Earlier the ECM systems were deployed in on premise systems with servers residing
behind the company firewall (ADOCS, 2015). Although it has the advantage of
control of security, easy integration, independent of internet etc. It was much costly
particularly in maintenance and was very time consuming for an upgrade or system
expansion. The scalability options were limited and the size of the document
continues to increase and there the storage requirement.
To address all the above issues of an on premise ECM system, organization started
opting for an off premises deployment like in cloud. Cloud computing as defined by

The Negative Effects Of Schoolwork Stress On Students
From putting in countless amount of hours working each day, feeling obligated to be
the best student in the country, and dealing with pressure from parents and everyone
else, it can all add up and severely affect students, especially at a young age. All of
those issues can result in health concerns, such as sleep deprivationand stress. Many
students are undoubtedly stressed. The system is taking a toll on young South Koreans
: 86 percent of high school students said they are stressed because of school, and
72.8 percent said they feel guilty if they take a break (Shim, 86 percent of South
Korean students suffer from schoolwork stress ). From the alarming statistic,
students are evidently dealing with a lot of stress because of school. When
students are not studying, they feel guilty otherwise. Furthermore, the stress and
pressure can negatively affect the student s actions and mental state. An incident
occurred with the murder of a mom that was killed by her own son named Ji, who
kept her body hidden for eight months before it was discovered, because of the
pressure and abuse he endured for a long time. He would fabricate his grade
reports because his mom wanted him to enter a top university and be ranked first in
nationwide exams. Ji was already in the top one percent, but that was not enough he
had to be ranked first. When he obtained lower scores than her expectations, she did
not give him food and forced him to stay awake at night to study. On the day before

Air Quality Monitoring Of Memphis And Surrounding
Areas
Air Quality Monitoring in Memphis and Surrounding Areas in 2014, Analyzed by
Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) By Ebtsam Seteh Abstract
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the atmosphere have been determined to be a
human risk factor in urban, suburban, and industrial environments. This study aims
to characterize the distribution and concentrations of ambient air toxics in
Memphis and identify major sources of VOCs. During four seasons in 2014, about
530 ambient air samples have been collected in various locations in Memphis and
surrounding areas for the analysis of VOCs with the TO 15 method. GC MS was
used with a preconcentrator outfitted with a glass bead trap and a Tenax trap in
cryogenic mode to analyze the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION Ambient air in urban, rural, and industrial areas
contains an array of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). They spread in the air as
gases from some solids or liquid materials. Society and environment are directly
healthy affected in short and long term by VOCs at trace level concentrations (2).
Air pollutants toxic are class of chemicals that may consider health problems in a
significant way. There are many chemical pollutants released into the ambient air
from various sources, such as power plants, and spraying pesticides. There are two
types of air pollutants that are primary pollutants, which are emitted directly into the
air from pollution sources, and secondary pollutants, which are from primary
pollutants, but after they passing from many of the chemical changes in the
atmosphere (12). The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has compiled a list of
187 hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). There are 30 HAPs threaten health
dramatically in metropolitan areas, such as benzene, 1,3 dichloropropene, 1,3
butadiene, and chloroform that are classified as toxins (3). In accordance with the
2007 Environmental Pollution, VOCs affect adversely on health and cause many
diseases, such as immune and neurological damage, cardiovascular diseases, and
reproductive and endocrine disorders (8). Several methods have developed for the
Gun Laws And Gun Violence In The United States
Gun violence is a serious matter in the united states. In this essay I will tell you
about gun laws and gun death rates, what death rates numbers are and what they
include, what states have the highest and lowest death rates, what the Brady Act is
and what it enforces and does for gun laws, what gun regulations are revoked and
overlooked, how to make it harder to get guns could save lives, how the National
Rifle Association say gun regulations have no effect on crime, and can particular laws
help with reducing gun related deaths.
A death rate number is the number of deaths per 100,000 people (Robertson, Lori)
Firearm deaths include homicide, suicide, accidents, and legal intervention. (gun laws
vs. gun deaths) Suicides make up more than half of the total gun related deaths in the
united states. These are the amount of how much each type of deaths makeup suicide
(63.5), homicide (32.6), accidental (1.7), legal intervention (1.4), undetermined (0.8).
(Gun laws vs. Gun deaths)
States death rates vary only if they have strict gun laws/ regulations or not. From a
study in 2013 the top ten states with the highest firearm deaths rates were Alaska
(19.8), Louisiana (19.3), Mississippi (17.8), Alabama (17.6), Arkansas (16.8),
Wyoming (16.7), Montana (16.7), Oklahoma (16.5), New Mexico (15.5), and
Tennessee (15.4). (Robertson, Lori) The south is a high risk for gun violence. The
states with lowest are Hawaii (5.3), California (6.4), Minnesota (6.5), Connecticut
(6.6).
Who Launched An Object Into Space Research Paper
On October 4, 1957, the world was changed. It was the first time that anyone had
launched an object into Earth s orbit. It was one this day that the Soviet Union
launched Sputnik I. The Soviet Union and the United States had racing to get the
first satellite into space, the new frontier. Some people in the world saw this is a
very negative thing, but this feat was really something great. Humans had sent an
object into outer space. The whole story, however, really starts a few years before,
when the International Council of Scientific Unions designated the time period of
July 1, 1957 to December 31, 1958, the International Geophysical Year. They declared
that this would be the best time to document and study the Earth from space. It...

The launch of the first satellite was an incredible feat for the Soviet Union scientific
community, and a very shocking blow to the Americans. However, the launch did
not only affect the scientific communities. Many civilians were worried what the
satellite could do and what power it gave the Soviet Union, even though President
Eisenhower attempted to make it seem like the launch was not a big deal. It
showed great leap that the USSR had made in their space program. This led to the
United States putting much more money towards math and science programs.
They especially put more funding into specifically space and military programs.
Americans were worried what the Soviets could do. If they had rockets that could
power something out of this world, they could easily launch a missile to reach the
US. Theories swirled about what the Soviet Union might try to do with a satellite
in space; launch nuclear missiles, spy on Americans, and many other ideas. These
ideas may not have been the goals for the first satellite, but the space race was
definitely stepped up a notch. The space race was only a small part of a much bigger
conflict, the Cold War. While the Soviet Union was working on their space
program, they were also developing a line of new and advanced weaponry. News got
the United States, so then both countries were building up their armories. The Cold
War had grown, not only to the space race, but also an arms
Judith- Compare and Contrast
Judith Old English and Vulgate Versions
Upon looking closely at the Old English and Vulgate versions of Judith, one can
catch a glimpse of how culture was during the time they were written by comparing
and contrasting the elements of the story that are presented and modified. The
distinct differences that can be found between the Old English and the vulgate
versions of Judith provide a clear view of what the Anglo Saxons considered to be
important, and what they felt required respect. When comparing and contrasting
these two versions, one can utilize other Old English works such as Beowulf and The
Wanderer to clearly spot the differences and similarities to receive some insight into
the culture and feelings of the Anglo Saxons.

10, Book of Judith 16:23). The idea of Judith being a warrior for the rest of her life
seeking glory and fighting in battle was most likely an idea that the Anglo Saxons
could not give up on and shows the need their culture had for heroes that garnered
glory.
A difference clearly illuminated by examining the two works is the role of women
in Anglo Saxon culture. The Anglo Saxon version of Judith clearly illustrates the
idea of a Valkyrie, a woman who is not afraid to battle, and revels in the thought of
Judith being a strong captain or even warrior who leads her people to a bloody
victory. This conception is evidenced by how Judith is characterized in the Anglo
Saxon version being portrayed as a valiant virgin with nerve and vigor (Judith Ch.
10). This stands in stark contrast to the book of Judith verses three through four
where Judith is revealed to be a widow who has lived alone for three years and four
months. It s obvious by looking at these two different stories that one can tell what
was important to the Anglo Saxon people. A young woman strong and stable
without a care in the world besides who she was fighting would appeal greatly to
the warrior culture of the Anglo Saxons. But the book of Judith reveals to us a
woman in deep sadness who has fasted all the days of
Literature Review. While There Has Been Research In
Subjects
Literature Review While there has been research in subjects dealing with turnover,
things such as organizational strategies have not been studied much. Davis (2013)
has stated that there is little research on the strategies employers do to minimize
turnover. There have been different studies that have researched different factors in
employee turnover and satisfaction. Studies have been done on the retention and
turnover of older workers (Armstrong Stassen Ursel, 2009), developing retention
policies (Mitchell, Holtom, Lee, 2001), job content and satisfaction (Ertas, 2015), and
the effects of employee retention on an organization (Davis, 2013). However, little
research also exists concerning millennials as well. Employee Turnover and... Show

Many organizations try to incentivize employees with higher pay, but many leave
due to a lack of trust and confidence in an organization (Mitchell et al.,2001)
Economy Turnover causes extensive problems to employees and employers. The
individual must deal with unemployment if no new jobs are lined up. Improving
economies have organizations wanting to keep hiring costs down. One way to
achieve this is through retainal (Mckeown ,2010). It is estimated that it the
replacement costs are $10,000 for half of all jobs. Most literature from practitioners
view this problem for an economic standpoint. (Mitchell et al., 2001) Davis (2013)
also agrees that employee turnover is a problem that negatively impacts the U.S
economy. Employee satisfaction In recent years, less Americans consider themselves
satisfied at their workplace than in earlier decades (Mckeown, 2010). Organizations
see employee satisfaction as one of the most important factors in an employee leaving
voluntarily. There are many factors that can affect job satisfaction. Some of these
include good structure in the organization and opportunity for advancement (Mitchell
et al.,2001) Plateauing, a dead end feeling that happens when an employee cannot
advance further in an organization, is a factor that can lead to job dissatisfaction
(Allen et al., 1999). High Turnover rates can indicate dissatisfaction with a worker s
position or pay; there are little opportunities
The Separation Of Powers
Separation of Powers
During the drafting of the United States Constitution at the Constitutional Convention
of 1787, a topic of most importance was the separation of power amongst the three
branches of government: the legislative, judicial, and executive. Following the end of
the Constitutional Convention, Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay
wrote a series of essays known as the Federalist Papers promoting the ratification of
the constitution. In it, they responded to the critique presented by the people known
as the anti federalist. In Federalist Papers No. 47 49 51, James Madison addresses the
need to establish the separation of powers, but to further develop them with a system
of checks and balances that would help maintain ... Show more content on

Aside from specific rules and boundaries, there must also be overlap amongst the
branches. The clear lines are drawn to protect the branches from one another but
Madison believes that unless these departments be so far connected and blended as to
give to each a constitutional control over the others, the degree of separation which
the maxim requires, as essential to free government, can never in practice be duly
maintained (Madison 1788, 300). Unless the branches are connected and give each a
constitutional control over the others we cannot maintain the separation essential to
free government. The anti federalist believed that the framing of the state constitution
just stating the boundary lines between the branches was enough but something

Detective Dulllay Case Study
Precinct to Detective DullRay we currently have officers responding to 135 Union
Ave, apartment 12B. We received reports of a murder crime from that location. This
is all I heard from the city dispatch center, and I began to make my way over to the
crime scene. It took about twenty minutes because of traffic and when I got there the
scene was already secured. The crimewas mainly contained in one room, the study
which is a very cliche place for a crime but a crime scene is still a crime scene. It
seemed nice and cozy if there wasn t a dead body in the middle of the room and a
mess all over the floor. The air was filled with a lavender scent mixed with blood. I
ve seen worse cases but this one was definitely one of the weirdest. The body formally

Interesting, so we may be dealing with department corruption I said. So at the
current moment there were three suspects in this case, George Valdres, the email
sender and Jane Diangelo. I decided it would be best to bring George in for
questioning later today. Before that however I wanted to look into the Chief s emails
and need to appeal to the department to receive a search warrant for the Chef s
computer. I put in the appropriate paperwork when I got back to my office.
Several hours have passed and I received word that George Valdres was in the
interrogation room. I made my way over there to ask several questions, and the
first being why his fingerprints were on the pill bottle. He said that he was a
pharmacist, so his fingerprints were on many medicine bottles. I asked him next if
he knew our victim Robert Diangelo, and he said he didn t. Then I asked if Chief
Jones ever stopped in for medication, like painkillers. To this question George said he
has seen the police chief in the pharmacy several time over the past couple of
months. I concluded my questioning and the officer who was listening in was able to
confirm George s employment and sales records from the

Writing Essays Services. How Online Essay Writing services boost your Grades Write Assignment

  • 1. Writing Essays Services Crafting an essay on the subject of "Writing Essays Services" presents a paradoxical challenge, as one navigates the intricate landscape of discussing a topic that essentially revolves around the act of writing itself. It's akin to attempting to capture the essence of a painter while holding a brush in hand – a metacognitive undertaking that demands a delicate balance. Firstly, the irony is palpable. Writing about services that offer assistance in writing essays introduces a layer of self-awareness that borders on the surreal. It's like peering into a hall of mirrors, where the act of reflection is simultaneous with the subject under scrutiny. The task becomes an exercise in self-analysis, probing the motivations and intricacies of outsourcing a task that, by definition, is an act of personal expression. The difficulty intensifies when delving into the ethical considerations surrounding such services. The act of outsourcing one's intellectual labor prompts questions about the authenticity of the learning process. Are these services a crutch, a shortcut, or perhaps an essential support system in a world that demands multifaceted skills? Furthermore, navigating the sea of available writing services itself becomes a daunting task. The abundance of options, each claiming excellence, forces a critical evaluation of not only the services but also one's own criteria for judging their worth. It requires a nuanced understanding of the fine line between assistance and academic dishonesty, with the writer juggling the responsibility of maintaining academic integrity while exploring the very industry designed to make the task easier. The mental acrobatics needed to articulate the complexities of this topic are compounded by the potential clash of personal beliefs and objective analysis. One must grapple with the tension between advocating for self-reliance in academic pursuits and acknowledging the pragmatic reality that sometimes external help is sought for legitimate reasons. In the end, crafting an essay on "Writing Essays Services" becomes a cerebral dance, a constant negotiation between the act of writing, the subject matter itself, and the broader implications it holds for education and personal growth. It's a journey through the labyrinth of words, ideas, and ethical considerations, demanding not just linguistic prowess but also a reflective mindset. In a world where the demands on one's time are ever-increasing, the notion of seeking external assistance in the form of essay writing services may not be entirely unfounded. Similar essays, grappling with the intricacies of this paradox, and exploring related themes can be found and commissioned through platforms like HelpWriting.net. These services, designed to ease the burden of expression, provide a testament to the evolving landscape of education and the myriad ways individuals navigate its challenges. • 2. Civilian Conservation Corps and the Great Depression Essay Civilian Conservation Corps and the Great Depression Our greatest task is to put people to work. This is no unsolvable problem if we face it wisely and courageously. It can be accomplished in part by direct recruiting by the government itself, treating the task as we would threat the emergency of war, but at the same time, through this employment, accomplishing greatly needed projects to stimulate and recognize the use of our national resources. Franklin D. Roosevelt March 4, 1933 Franklin Delano Roosevelt indeed turned the lives of many young male Americans around. On March 31, 1933 Roosevelt signed the bill into law and just six days later, the CCC was formed. His ultimate goal was to have 250,000 men in the forest in just three short months. (www.sos...) The CCC administration consisted of a director, Robert Fechner, and an advisory board of representatives from the Departments of War, Agriculture, Interior, and Labor. With the help of local boards, the Department of Labor selected the enrollees. The War Department housed, clothed, and fed the men, and organized and administered the camps. The Department of Agriculture and Interior planned the work projects. (Smith) In order to qualify for the program, the youth had to be between the ages of seventeen and twenty three and a half years old, unemployed, and citizens of the U. S. They had to be over sixty inches and under seventy inches, and not less than one hundred and seven pounds. They also had to be single, pass a physical exam to ensure good health, and be able to produce a birth certificate or baptismal record revealing the occupant s age, and sign up for a six month minimum service. They were at this time willing to donate $25 of their $30 per month towards their family. Applications in Houghton County could be picked up at the Laurium

  • 4. To Kill A Mockingbird Lesson Analysis Lessons Learned Through life, many people go through the hard and important lessons, that they are either taught by others or learn them for themselves. Intertwined with the plot of To Kill a Mockingbird are lessons one can never forget. By actively using the characters everyone absolutely loves to teach, the author puts across her point to help others. With her writing style, Harper Lee connects the reader to significant aspects of the book to help learn lessons. In Harper Lee s To Kill a Mockingbird, some of the most evident and clearly illustrated lessons are the importance of innocence, courage and honor. The well known novel, shows many instances where a character displays innocence. A few of the many are Scout, Jem, and Uncle Jack. Scout displays innocence many ways in the book through conversations and actions. In chapter 15, a mob threatens to hurt Atticus for defending Tom Robinson. Scout, not knowing of the mob s intentions, starts to make idle chatter with Mr. Cunningham which reminds him they are friends and neighbors which, in turn, forces the mob to die down. At this point, Scout innocently saved Atticus from a terrible fate. Another example of Scout s innocence occurred when she was talking to Miss Caroline as she was trying to innocently explain Walter Cunningham could not pay her back for lunch because of his family s financial complications. Miss. Caroline took this misunderstanding as rude behavior on Scout s part and decided to punish her for the

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A library that is closer for students would promote good learning habits and study skills. Students may not wait until the last minute to do their projects and papers because resources are more readily available to them. PROPOSED ENVIRONMENT The proposed environment will consist of a fully functioning library that is open to students and faculty free of charge. If an outside member of the community would like to use the library the school could charge them a small membership fee. This will help to raise revenue for the college and the library. For the first few years the library may be small but as years pass the library can expand to have more books, magazines, research materials, computers, etc. The library can also share with the main campus library in order to expand their materials and capabilities. I think many students and teachers would support the addition of a library to the campus. When the library is first constructed it should have at least a thousand books, several magazine subscriptions, and fifteen computers. Ten of the computers should be connected to the Internet and have common programs that students would use to write research papers and create presentations. The other five computers should be connected to research databases only such as Ebsco. There should also be a ?quiet area? where students can study, do homework, research material, read, write papers,

  • 7. The Winter Solstice And Northern Hemisphere When the earth rotates on its axis it starts to changes seasons. But that s depending where you live you and if you are on the different sides of the earth. That are known as the Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere. I say this because it may be summer in America but winter in Australia. But it can also change the weather if you think about it because during the different seasons the temperature changes. For example where we live it gets really hot over one hundred Fahrenheit. But in the winter time it usually stays over Thirty Five Fahrenheit. But that s because of the Summer Solstice. The Summer Solstice is one of the biggest parts of one of our seasons. The seasonI m talking about is known as summer because that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Then there is winter and it starts to get cold but we still see the sun. That s because during the winter time the days are getting shorter and we are now tilted down not up. When earth tilts on its axis one side of earth is facing up to the sun and having summer well the other is titled the down having winter. The tilt changes position when it traveling around the sun so that s one reason why we don t always have summer. You may be asking yourself why is it cold in the winter time when the sun out. Well that s because during the winter time we get less sunlight and what also happens is that the heat kind of shrinks. During the Summer Solstice we know that it s the hottest day. But that s because it is when the sun is shining the brightest on us. So when the days start to get shorter so does the light and so it goes from this really huge thing of sun light to just shining on one place on earth but we can still see because of how big the sun is. The Earth s Axis tilts at twenty three point five degrees and the earth goes around that axis every day or also known as twenty four hours. I say this because I m going to bring up The Wobble effect and how earth rotates. So we already know that it rotates at a twenty three point five degrees but if I told it could change over the years. Well it can because in thirteen thousand years earth will be

  • 9. Gender Roles And The Mere Existence Of A Gender Binary Essay Final Essay: Rough Draft Gender roles, and the mere existence of a gender binary, has been a recent topic of conversation for many churches, theologians, and individual believers. As the cultural pressure to remove gender specific limitations builds, many of those aforementioned have turned to scripture for answers. Seldom are women s roles in the Old Testamentcharacterized by decision making or personal merits. Rather, a womans capacity to produce an heir for their husband complements his dominance and responsible faithfulness and allows God s plan to be fulfilled through their combined efforts. In the New Testament, through the transformative power of Christ, prominent women became less of an anomaly, but were still held to a different set of standards and expectations than men and were usually still praised according to their actions and their faith. The Pauline epistles, written in the context in which the Church still exists today: the age to come, provide a basis for today s understanding of women s roles in marriage and in church leadership. Although there are many instances of women fulfilling God s plans and proving their worth among the community of Christians, the biblically normative role of women is to avoid authoritative church leadership positions and remain submissive in situations of teaching and interpreting the Word. When the biblespeaks of women, rarely is the conversation characterized by a lack of respect for upstanding, God fearing women who
  • 10. Why Did The Us Invade Afghanistan Why did the US invade Afghanistan in 2001? Theoretically, it holds that the United States (US) invaded Afghanistan as a self defense strategy following the 9/11 attacks. Practically, however, as US foreign policy is about conquest, self protection and resource extraction, it seeks strategic dominance of geographical space to sustain its global relevance. The rationality of the US suggests the need to continuously accumulate capital, resources and military proficiency to ensure autonomy. Therefore, a pragmatic reading into the motivation behind the invasion of Afghanistan negates the self defense theory. Rather, the shifting coordinates of power within central and southern Asia crafted the perfect criteria for US intervention. This work explores the motivations and systemic cover ups designed by the Bush administration in ordering military troops into Afghanistan in 2001. It will hold that this invasion was not just a War on Terror, but rather a tactic to ensure US prevalence within the region, and henceforth, the rest of the world. Thus, why did the US invade Afghanistan? At the start of the new millennium, China became rapidly known as the fastest growing economy sparking the greatest shift of relative power in history. Coincidence, or not, Afghanistan s narrow border with China made it a perfect strategic target to presume military presence within the Asian region. Arguably, the invasion of Afghanistan lays largely on a tactical plan designed by the US to resist
  • 11. Earth from Space As beautiful as the earth is from the ground it is even more stunning from international space stations. There are approximately 120 artificial satellites in space starting at a distance of 100 to 25,000 miles from the ground. There are many different types of Artificial Satellites, each with a distinct job. Some Artificial Satellites help predict the weather, while others gather information about the universe for organizations like NASA. Satellites can see things far beyond human vision; they transform things invisible to the naked eye into visible images. These transformed images show how the sunlight, moisture, land and atmosphere react together to make life on earth possible. These insights help scientists relate between the planet and it s life. So, what exactly makes life? What are the essential components, which make life possible on this planet? Why do sand storms in the Sahara affect the amazon rain forest 5000 miles away? The video Earth from Space helps us understand the effects of forces on this planet. It starts with the Sun, at a distance of 93 million miles away from the earth; it warms every inch on the surface. One of the newer satellites by NASA called Suomi National Polar orbiting which was launched in 2011, orbits 500 miles away from ground. It enables us to see more substances. For instance, the spectrum is as long as the distance from New York to Los Angeles. In comparison, the visible region to the human eye would be the size of a dime. The

Louis Armstrong crooned in the background and a hunchbacked man smiled at me from across the room. This was not your ordinary day care center. As Open Circle s staff started to assign students to different clients in the large room, I struggled to not let the disappointment show on my face. Here I was, excited to spend a day with little kids: playing dress up, Barbies, hide and go seek, but instead, I ended in up in an old folks home. I sighed heavily, at least I got out of gym class. One of the staff members looked at me. McCrae, how about you go talk to Dean. I scanned the room, looking for a name tag labeled Dean. And there it was, plastered to the sweater of the hunchbacked man that has smiled at me. • 14. Attrition From Higher Education Institution 1. INTRODUCTION Attrition from Higher Education Institution (HEI) programmes is worryingly on the increase (Russell Group 2010). However, students that drop out of pre registration nursing programmes are of particular concern, not only to the HEI but the Government and the NHS also due to the requirement to meet the needs of the NHS recruitment and demands of an increasingly ageing society that relies on qualified nurses (DOH 2007). Indeed the type of funding that student nurses receive and the amount of money that is invested by Strategic Health Authorities (SHA) and Government in them suggests that attrition is a costly problem (DOH 2009). It is difficult to gather specific statistical data regarding attrition rates as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A more recent report produced by the Department of Health states that the attrition rate from pre registration nursing programmes stands at 16% (DOH 2010). This statistic differs greatly from the national average of 27% reported direct to the RCN by the HEIs. The United Kingdom figures do generally appear favourable however compared to countries such as Italy (65%) and the USA (37%) (International Audit office, 2007). Statistics produced by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (2011) highlight that the percentage drop out rate for students on all types of Degree level programmes is relatively low at approximately 10% whereas for those studying the Diploma level programme the drop out rate increases to 17%. Therefore the statistics identified for attrition from pre registration nursing programmes are higher that the average attrition rate of all other Degree and Diploma programmes. A higher completion rate among pre registration nurses will enhance the NHS workforce of qualified nurses and will help towards the Department of Health Our Health, Our Care, Our Say (DOH 2006a) goal to ensure individual excellence of care for all. Higher retention of students would also aide the HEIs involved in the education of pre registration nursing as SHA and Government targets will be met and financial penalties
  • 15. Comparing Marge Piercy s Barbie Doll And Richard Cory The ugly truth Being an outcast in society is not fun. People just want to be accepted for who they are and live their life in peace. That can be hard when we live in a world where we demand so much. Barbie doll by Marge Piercy and Richard Cory by Edward Arlington Robinson, show that no matter how happy someone looks on the outside, they may feel miserable and destructive on the inside. Both stories compare and contrast two perspectives from a man and a woman; they demonstrate how society affects them both in different ways. In the casket displayed on satin she lay with the undertaker s cosmetics painted on, a turned up putty nose, dressed in a pink and white nightie. Doesn t she look pretty? Everyone said (20). Review the legal cases surrounding this sport law issue. 3. Suggest changes or modifications that might strengthen the current law. The topic I chose for the research paper was O Bannon vs. NCAA, because I found this case has lots of aspects worth discussing, like one of the defendants is Electronic Arts Inc., a videogame corporation (I played lots of videogames from EA like NBA LIVE series and FIFA series and I do love them), which made me curious, I would like to know more about EA did in this case and how these actions affected the judgment. Plaintiffs are a group of current and former college student athletes. They brought this antitrust class action against the National Collegiate Athletic Association(NCAA) in 2009 to challenge the association s rules restricting compensation for elite men s football and basketball players. In particular, Plaintiffs seek to challenge the set of rules that bar student athletes from receiving a share of the revenue that the NCAA and its member schools earn from the sale of licenses to use the student athletes names, images, and likenesses in videogames, live game telecasts, and other footage. Plaintiffs contend that these rules violate the Sherman Antitrust Act. The NCAA denies this charge and asserts that its restrictions on student athlete compensation are necessary to uphold its educational mission and to protect the popularity of collegiate sports. • 17. The Argument For Genocide In Nazi Propaganda Much later, Randall L. Bytwerk analyzed genocidal propaganda in his 2005 article The Argument for Genocide in Nazi Propaganda. He argues that the most significant way to argue a final solution for the Jews is by convincing the population that it was a matter of life or death. The NSDAP government had to communicate this victim perpetrator complex enough so that a maximum amount of people would consume this information and be able to take it as an irrefutable, imminent danger. As Kim Wunschman stated in her article on Jewish discrimination, the SS had to transform German Jews from a heterogeneous minority group within society to outsiders regarded as a homogeneous group of enemies to be excluded from any form of communal life ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Additionally, they seemed to not want to take part in the final solution; therefore, Bytwerk supposes that had the Nazis won the war, the German public would not have been concerned what had become of the Jews (Bytwerk 56). This would go in accordance with the widespread indifference of the German population along with the already present suppression of concentration camp details. As a result, the government legitimately reduced the Jewish population to the status of Giorgio Agamben s coined term, homo sacer. That is, Nazis could justly kill Jews but not sacrifice them. They could not be sacrificed since they already belonged to the gods and killing them would not change their condition (Agamben 73). The sovereign is the only entity which could be in authority to denote homo sacer and can do so only in the name of preservation. In this case, the German government was the sovereign entity which legitimately dehumanized the Jewish by reinforcing a self preservation rhetoric with consistent propaganda. The Nazi government knew if they had bluntly presented details on the Jewish camps and their plan of execution, the German population would be shocked and likely unsupportive (Bytwerk 56). Moreover, the government knew it did not need to garner undeniable support; it only needed to convince the population that what it planned to do was best for the Germany.

Poisonwood Bible Thesis Moving cities is hard enough but picking up your family and leaving the only country you have ever known to go to a continent where you do not speak the language or understand the customs has to be completely mind boggling. The novel The Poisonwood Bible opens with Orleanna Price describing the sensory input of the Congolese Jungle. As a reader her description allows you to close your eyes and see the Congolese Jungle as if you are there walking through it too. The Congolese Jungle sounds like an unforgiving place which adds a suspenseful sense to the already questionable beginning. While one can not exactly know what is going to take place, the description allows you to know that whatever it is will not be good. • 19. The Invention Of The Electron Microscope By Ernst Ruska... In the scientific community, there have been many advancements in the technologies and processes used to help us understand the truth of the world around us. The invention of the electron microscope by Ernst Ruska and Max Knoll in 1933 is just an example of one of these advancements. There is another advancement that has roots over one hundred and sixty million years old, and that is the green fluorescent protein(GFP). The fluorescence from GFP molecules has made it feasible to look through a microscope at a spatial resolution higher than the diffraction limit. The green fluorescent proteinwas first found in the Aequorea Victoria, or the crystal jellyfish. It is a bioluminescent hydrozoan jellyfish, or hydromedusa (1). In the crystal jellyfish, there are two proteins that are responsible for its bioluminescent, aequorin and GFP. They are both located in the photo organs of the jellyfish. The jellyfish releases calcium ions which the aequorin binds to. The process of binding gives off a blue light, which is then absorbed by the GFP. The blue light absorbed is then converted into the green light that GFP is named for (2). At the moment there is no apparent reason for the bioluminescence displayed by the Aequorea Victoria since it has not been observed being used as a defense mechanism or as a signalling mechanism. Osamu Shimomura was the first person to isolate the GFP. He started to study the bioluminescence of crystal jellyfish at Princeton University in 1960 and he and
  • 20. Dr Jekyll And Hyde Character Analysis Well, first thing and the most obvious is that Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are the part of each other. When Dr. Jekyll turns into Mr. Hyde, he is freer do as he pleases. As him, he can go about doing whatever he wants and not have a care in the world. Its like when a person does things just because they are able to. Other reason for Dr. Jekyll protecting Mr. Hyde is because of the murders that he committed, while he was transformed to Mr. Hyde. One of the crimes that Mr. Hyde commits is when he starts acting like a madman to an older gentleman. The maid says, and at that Mr. Hyde broke out of all bounds and clubbed him to the earth. And the next moment, with ape like fury, he was trampling his victim under foot and hailing down a storm of blows, under which the bones were audibly shattered, and the body jumped upon the roadway (Stevenson 1688). With such a gruesome act committed by Mr. Hyde, you can see why Dr. Jekyll wants to protect him. I believe also that Dr. Jekyll does this because deep inside, he likes the commit these acts for pleasure. In his regular form, Dr. Jekyll is a kind and sociable person. He does everything right and everyone likes him. Behind, all that niceness lies a dark secret kept by Dr. Jekyll. That is, he wants to be a bad guy. By him creating the potion, that allows him to turn into Mr. Hyde gives him the opportunity to commit those vices that he has. The reason why, he wants to protect him, so much is simple, so he can continue committing these
  • 21. Cigarette Smoking And Its Effects On The Human Body It is widely understood that cigarette smoking carries many serious health risks, especially for cardiovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis and hypertension (Rahman et al. 2007). Studies have shown that cigarettes release over 4000 different chemicals, all of which can wreak havoc on the every organ of the human body, especially the cardiovascular and pulmonary system, when inhaled (Jonas et al., 1992; Sin and Man 2003). Over 200 people die every day from complications due to cigarettesmokingin the United States alone, and smoking cigarettes causes an estimated 76% of all vascular disease (Czermin and Waldherr, 2003; Cole et al., 1993). It therefore stands to reason that cigarette smoking and how it specifically effects the human body would be an extremely relevant area of study. It has been consistently shown that cigarette smoking impairs endothelial dependent vasodilation in humans (Ueda et al., 1997; Poredos et al., 1999; Campisi et al. 1998, 1999). It also increases the blood plasma levels of endothelin in both humans and rats (Wright et al., 2001; Goerre et al. 1995; Haak et al., 1994). But until now, researchers have not been able to determine what the effects of increased endothelin levels due to cigarette smoking have on the vascular system, specifically on vascular contractility (Rahman et al., 2007). This is of particular interest because increased endothelin levels have been shown to play a part in atherosclerosis pathogenesis (Haak et. Al, 1994). In this

Freud, who came up with the idea of an Oedipus complex, based his theories of women on a few upper middle class women in Vienna suffering from psychological disorders. He based his findings on men on an even smaller sample. Freud wasn t the only person. Much like how many brain researchers find exactly what they are looking for, and what they are looking for are the brain based differences that explain the observable behavioral differences between adult women and adult men (Kimmel, 35). Over the recent years, global warming has become a hot topic, due to the melting of polar ice caps and extreme temperature changes across the globe. Since 1960, the percentage of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere has increased by 20%, which is the highest recorded in 800,000 years. The true question though is whether this is due to natural causes or whether it s the impact humans have on the earths delicate ecosystem. The main signs that global warming is currently affecting our world is the rapid temperature changes in certain areas causing wild weather such as tropical storms and floods. Sea levels are rising as an effect of melting of the polar icecaps which are effectively increasing the levels of water in our oceans and rivers. There is no doubt that global warming is currently happening on our precious planet, but there are many that argue it is the environments natural lifecycle rather than a contribution to greenhouse gases that humans have caused recently. Although there are many biological factors that could affect the process of global warming, it can be argued that humans are the primary cause. The amount of waste produced by humans each year has increased due to our rapidly growing population, which pollutes our natural environment with waste products such as plastic bags, bottles or even metal cans. Because of our dumping of waste into our countrysides, it is debatable that dumping is another main polluter that releases carbon dioxide into our precious

The Supreme Court s decision to uphold Virginia s statute regarding sterilization provided the basis for enactment of similar laws across the United States and subsequent sterilization of 65,000 Americans without their approval or that of their family members. Notably, the ruling of this case was based on the concept of feeblemindedness, which is no longer applicable in medical terminology. The internship surrounded topics that correlated with my international business degree. I gained first hand experience with everything from financial regulations to loans. It was wonderful to be able to take concepts outside of the classroom and see how they are applicable within the international business world, specifically the world of banking. The company Fortress Bank, previously known as First State Bank of Illinois 10 branches. Branches are located in Monmouth, Macomb, LaHarpe, Peoria, Carthage, Hamilton, Pekin, Blandinsville, Colusa, and Bettendorf. The company has been privately owned since its inception in 1904. The bank recently underwent monumental rebranding as the name of the bank changed in order to allow for the new Bettendorf branch opening in early 2018 in Eastern Iowa. The name First State Bank simply was not going to be applicable to future Iowan customers. The name change was purely cosmetic and has had no change on any other aspects of the business. Everything from the bank s routing number to phone number has stayed the same. Customers will simply be receiving updated checks and debit cards with the name Fortress Bank when they run out of checks or their debit cards expire. Until then, everything with the name First State Bank of Illinois will still be applicable. The only exception is the new
  • 35. The Importance Of Obstetric Services For Pregnant Women... 1.) Obstetric services are provided to pregnant women for before, during, and after birth. These services are very expensive; however, they are very important. Discontinuing these practices could create a multiple of problems. A pregnancy can be a very scary time in a women s life, especially if this is her first birth. Obstetricians help a soon to be mother understand a variety of different facts, such as due date, nutrition for the fetus, monitoring complications and so much more! With such a heavy expense with not equal return, hospitals are beginning to stop these services. The article by Commins explained how hospitals are cutting the costs by having a family doctor deliver a child, instead of hiring obstetricians. Without a specialist there could be a raise in postnatal deaths. My older sister was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck. Without a team of specialized, well trained doctors, my sister may have not of survived. Not only would the death rate of infants increase, women would also feel uneasy about their pregnancy. Take Moberly, Missouri for example, the Moberly Rural Health Clinic is about 30 minutes from where I grew up. Moberly Rural Health Clinic has one obstetrician/gynecologist for labor, which is awesome for those who live in the surrounding area. I visited my little cousins who had just been born there. It was a happy experience; if my aunt had to drive an hour to Columbia to give birth she could have not made it to the University
  • 36. Computer Input Technologies By Alan Turing Computer Input Technologies Introduction The interaction between humans and the machine is a relatively new science. When considering how the inputs to a computer started out, it is interesting to observe just how little has changed. For example, the QWERTY keyboard as part of the typewriter invented in the 1870s(2) far predates the concept of the modern digital computer as described by Alan Turing in 1936(3). Our tools to interact with our own machines have however been refined to be more convenient for the average user with interfaces such as optimised USB and layout studied for ergonomy. In recent years, input technologies have not only been improved but brand new ones have emerged like motion control for example. The future is bright ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Furthermore, trackballs are still quite common as scrollwheels in computer mouse devices. Interestingly, the invention of the computer ball mouse in 1968 sprang directly from the invention of the trackball. In a sense, the ball mouse is a reversed version of the same device. The trackball rolls on the surface instead of the user s hands, however the tracking operates in the same way(1). This innovation in existing technology meant that the handheld type design would later be upgraded as newer technologies took its place. Today, the ball mouse has been largely replaced by the optical and laser mouse. These types of mouse devices use LEDs to emit light onto the surface on which it sits, the reflected light is analysed by a set of photodiodes. Whether the mouse is laser or not depends on if the LEDs emit coherent light (laser) or not (optical). The main drawback of the optical mouse is that they only function on opaque and matte surfaces as they depend on the light reflecting the surfaces imperfections. The precision however is much improved from the ball mouse. Furthermore, less moving parts means more durability. The mouse really opened up the horizon for user interface navigation making it a key turning point in the history of input technologies. The Keyboard The keyboard has been for decades the main textual input device. In terms

Although the welfare state was perceived to be in decline, economic openness brought significant benefits to the both the domestic and global economies. The increase of free trade through the reduction of tariff and non tariff barriers allowed consumers to purchase foreign goods and services at cheaper prices, and foreign investors provided considerable amount of capital to the country as well as job creation and technological innovation. With its widespread of benefits, is globalization really a threat to social stability? Has it advanced so far that national governments are essentially powerless to regulate their economies and use their policy tools to further social ends? Although globalization and the welfare state often diverge from another, globalization has not eroded national sovereignty and capacity nearly as much as previously thought by skeptics of globalization. National governments, particularly in the developed world, still retain substantial autonomy in regulating their economies, in designing their social policies, and in maintaining institutions that differ from their trading partners. Globalization is what states make of it. Although governments have made some concessions in recent years to accommodate the globalizing

One of the reasons that his shows have gained so much attention is because he likes to use them to present his views on controversial topics. Joss does this by switching gender roles and using powerful symbols. You can see this in both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dollhouse. You can see this in both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dollhouse. He does this in order to change societies views on woman in society. To prove this I will give a few powerful examples from each show that makes it perfectly clear how Joss feels on the matter. Also, I want to talk a little about some of the speeches Joss has made on television where he talks about his work and why he does it. The most important role reversal in Buffy is quite obvious. It is the reversal of rules between Buffy and her male sidekicks. Buffy this strong and witty girl who run s around slaying vampires. While all of the male side characters are practically useless. You can find an example of this in practically every episode. Starting with episode 1 you see this when angle is following Buffy and she slips him and jumps him. Or like in episode 5 when she has to save Giles from the super vamp after he got knocked out yet again. Then there is Xander the most useless of all the male characters. Xander is constantly trying to prove his manhood in the show to try and impress the young attractive Buffy but it always ends the same, with Xander being the damsel in distress and Buffy

Technology is changing at such a rapid pace most consumers can barely keep up. Gadget users are just getting used to their shiny new smartphones when another upgrade is rolling off the production lines. Beyond hand held technology, computing devices are light years better than technological tools of the past. One area that technology has heavily impacted is that of education. While technology has changed the landscape of the mainstream classroom, it has completely changed the realm of instruction for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other disabilities. Since 2015, I have served in various roles within the Special Education department of Frederick County Public Schools. Having worked closely with some of the most challenged students, I have personally witnessed the benefits of technology for students diagnosed with Autism. Technology is beyond helpful; however, it is continuously changing at a rapid pace that causes school staff and parents always to be evaluating what tool is best for the student. Devices and applications are not only transforming the classroom, but that are giving individuals with ASD more freedom and confidence than ever before. Finally, parents and school staff must be intentional about finding the correct device and apps for the students and integrate them with intentionality. Since the internet

The National Quality Forum literally defines a never event as a preventable adverse event occurring in a health care setting that should never happen; like, wrong site surgery, patient falls, and medication errors as examples (Gitlow et al., 2013). Discussion, explanations and resolutions are the intended outcome of today s meeting. Never Event On June 3, 2015, the staff in the cardiovascular surgical suite (CVOR) allowed a patient to fall to the floor when transferring the patient from the operating table to the patient bed, following coronary artery bypass surgery. Regrettably, the patient endured facial fractures, however, fortunately there was no harm to the surgical procedure on the coronary arteries, head, lungs, drains, chest tubes or anywhere else. Present in the surgical suite for the period of the incident included two certified nurse anesthetists, two scrub technicians, one registered nurse, and one physician s assistant. Following the closure of the surgical site, the appropriate dressings were applied, the cardiothoracic surgeon left the surgical theater, and the patient was transferred to the patient bed when the never event occurred. Discussion The opinions of the physicians, staff and management present at today s meeting exist as uncontrollable patient factors and controllable environmental factors.

The Negative Effects Of Schoolwork Stress On Students From putting in countless amount of hours working each day, feeling obligated to be the best student in the country, and dealing with pressure from parents and everyone else, it can all add up and severely affect students, especially at a young age. The system is taking a toll on young South Koreans : 86 percent of high school students said they are stressed because of school, and 72.8 percent said they feel guilty if they take a break (Shim, 86 percent of South Korean students suffer from schoolwork stress ). From the alarming statistic, students are evidently dealing with a lot of stress because of school. When students are not studying, they feel guilty otherwise. However, the launch did not only affect the scientific communities. Many civilians were worried what the satellite could do and what power it gave the Soviet Union, even though President Eisenhower attempted to make it seem like the launch was not a big deal. It showed great leap that the USSR had made in their space program. This led to the United States putting much more money towards math and science programs. They especially put more funding into specifically space and military programs. Americans were worried what the Soviets could do. If they had rockets that could power something out of this world, they could easily launch a missile to reach the US. The Anglo Saxon version of Judith clearly illustrates the idea of a Valkyrie, a woman who is not afraid to battle, and revels in the thought of Judith being a strong captain or even warrior who leads her people to a bloody victory. This conception is evidenced by how Judith is characterized in the Anglo Saxon version being portrayed as a valiant virgin with nerve and vigor (Judith Ch. 10). This stands in stark contrast to the book of Judith verses three through four where Judith is revealed to be a widow who has lived alone for three years and four months. It s obvious by looking at these two different stories that one can tell what was important to the Anglo Saxon people. A young woman strong and stable without a care in the world besides who she was fighting would appeal greatly to the warrior culture of the Anglo Saxons. But the book of Judith reveals to us a woman in deep sadness who has fasted all the days of
