Manual method of sorting out for result and computing it has posed a big problem to exams unit in ChukwuemekaOdumegwuOjukwu University (COOU), In Anambra State, Nigeria. During computation of results, the exam officers collect paper results from the department and either calculate them on papers or enter them on a computer for computation. Either of them is hard work and time wasting. Hence we propose a change and retrieval agent in computing results in ChukwuemekaOdumegwuOjukwu University, Uli. Since the University already has an existing website, we require a new format for uploading results to the website using Microsoft excel witheight (8) specific columns namely: names of students, registration numbers, continuous assignment, examination score, total score, grade and remarks done by course lecturers. To compute the results of a particular student, the exam officer opens the application; enters the required detail and the application will fetch and populate the grade fields automatically from the results already uploaded on the university website by the course lecturers. The application needs internet connection in order to do this. Thereafter the results are computed by the application. The methodology used is Object Oriented Analysis and Design Methods. The application is a windows application written with Microsoft visual basic.net. The database used in saving login information and computed CGPAs is a free distributed database MySQL. The result of this researchis a functional result retrieval and computation application used only by the authorized personnel for computation of degree results.

Assessment of the Dependence of Renewable Penetration Level in a Weakly Conne...IJERA Editor
The integration of non-dispatchable renewable energy sources (RES) poses serious challenges to power system planning and operation. At system level, a major issue regards the short and long-term frequency stability due to the reduction of regulating reserve margins, in turn brought about by the displacement of conventional generation and lack of contribution by the RES. This problem is especially present in isolated or weakly connected systems, and may become the limiting factor for renewable penetration. The paper proposes a fast algorithm to quantify the benefits of advanced control, protection and defense systems in increasing RES penetration in weakly connected power systems. In fact, advanced solutions relying on both system design and operating measures may be of paramount importance to allow the secure integration of more RES generation. The algorithm is tested on a 2020 scenario of the Sardinian power system and it is crossvalidated against time domain simulation

Flexibility Analysis In Industrial Piping Through The Finite Elements And Pho...IJERA Editor
The industry needs predictability to work on a large scale without complications, only this way you can ensure your productivity. The piping flexibility analysis provides a prediction of future problems and proposes applicable solutions, with the objective of preventing pipes to suffer collapses, that can impact the production process and costs, and provide safety to workers and the environment, while avoid leaks and possible contamination. The aim of this study is analyse the flexibility of industrial piping through the finite elements and photoelasticity methods. For stresses analysis, using a computerized body of proof, it`s possible to find, through finite elements and photoelasticity`s practical project, the values of the stresses and the places where they are being applied. To guarantee that the computerized and practical models are consistent with reality, a mathematical model, already tested and proved, will also be implemented and compared to the others, so there are evidences that all models used are really reliable and can be used in large-scale industrial projects, with complex studies. A comparison of a mathematical model through balanced guided beam, a finite elements model using the software ANSYS® and a photoelasticity of a resin pipe will show that the method with better applicability in industries is the computational, showing trustable stress, reaction and deformation values as well as a detailed visualization of them distribution along the object of study.
Effects of Zno on electrical properties of Polyaniline CompositesIJERA Editor
In the present investigation, Polyaniline / Zinc oxide with various weight percentage of Zinc oxide (10%, 20%, 30, 40% and 50%) were synthesized by in-situ polymerization method. The prepared composites were characterized by X-Ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Fourier Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). The dc conductivity of the samples was measured as a function of temperature in the range 30-180oC and it was found that increasing the concentration of ZnO particles increases the conductivity. Ac conductivity of the composites was studied with respect to frequency.

The purpose of this study was to see whether there is an influence of Weaknesses of the Internal Control System and Non-compliance With Statutory Provisions on the audit opinion of the audit board. The weakness of the internal control system measured by the audit findings Audit Board consisting of weaknesses of the accounting control system and reporting, and weaknesses of the budget implementation control system and weaknesses of the internal control structure. While non-compliance with statutory provisions are measured based on the audit findings Audit Board consisting of local loss, the potential loss of local , lack of receipt, administration, waste, inefficiency and ineffectiveness. This study is a survey of the region of the provincial government of DKI Jakarta and Banten for 2010 to 2014. Samples in this study were all the Local Government Unit that generate financial reports of local governments totaling nine units, so this study is census research, in the sense that the entire population sampled. Data analysis method used is the ordinal logistic regression because the dependent variable is the rank (category) and the data is not normal. From the results of the data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the weaknesses of the internal control system and non-compliance with statutory provisions affect the audit opinion of the audit board either jointly or partially.
A Review of Strategies to Promote Road Safety in Rich Developing Countries: t...IJERA Editor
Road safety policies, strategies and action plans, along with trends in road traffic injuries (RTIs) in the oil-rich Gulf Cooperative Council (GCC) countries were examined to appraise their road safety work with an overall objective of identifying key measures and initiatives that would reduce RTA and their resulting consequences in these countries. Data on RTIs was obtained from police and from vital statistics and was analyzed. Research papers, policy documents, and strategies, obtained from relevant stakeholders in the six GCC countries, were reviewed and discussed. Traffic Safety Programs and action plans, which were the most fundamental documents in the development of the GCC countries’ road safety policies and strategies, were reviewed. Policy documents on road safety and traffic related issues were searched on the websites of related authorities. Published research on road safety in GCC countries was searched using available databases. Analysis of accident data shows that the fatality rates in all the GCC countries are much higher than developed countries with good safety records. The six administrations started the fundamental traffic safety programs to combat the increase in RTIs, with some succeeding in reducing RTI rates by implementing vast road safety improvements. However, RTIs increased again mainly because of increasing traffic volume and high-risk driving behavior. Developing and implementing national road safety strategies in some GCC countries was successful in reducing the RTI rates. The road safety situation in the six GCC countries was assessed showing high crash and fatality rates compared to developed countries. Most GCC countries still suffer from sustainable increase in traffic crashes despite the efforts to reduce their magnitude and severity. Some of these countries have developed and implemented national road safety strategies, while countries like Oman still need to develop such a long-term strategy. Following the review of the current progress in road safety initiatives developed or implemented, it is apparent that there is still considerable room for improvement. In view of the fact that the oil-rich GCC countries have similar economic, social, and political background, a number of specific areas of action common to all countries were identified to achieve a safer road environment in the studied countries.
Behaviour of Single Pile in Reinforced Slope Subjected to Inclined LoadIJERA Editor
Deep foundations, including driven piles, are used to support vertical loads of structures and lateral forces. Typical structures subjected to lateral loads include bridge abutments, transmission tower, sand offshore platforms. Traffic, wind, wave, and seismic forces are common types of lateral loads subjected to pile foundations. The present work is focused on understanding the lateral load capacity of vertical piles located near crest of the slope and subjected to the lateral and inclined loads. The experimental investigation was carried out to study the effect of reinforcing an earth slope on the inclined loading behavior of a single vertical pile located near the slope. Layers of geogrid were used to reinforce a sandy slope of 1V:2H. The parametric studies were performed by varying the length of pile(L), angle of inclination of load (θ), number of geogrid reinforcement (Nr) and crest distance. It was observed that the lateral load capacity of pile depends upon these parameters. The lateral load capacity of pile increases with increase in inclination of load, length of pile(L), number of geogrid reinforcement (Nr) and crest distance
In the field of touchy processing, many people would access the touchy phones, keypads etc. where the disadvantage of touchy system is all about touch screen. So, to overcome this problem, we are going to develop a project based on touch less device which is used to access and process our data with minimum time complexity for optimization of the sourcing data. Our project contain marker to highlight required key term. Touch less detects both the size and location of “Marker’s Gestures” for writing purposes. Whereas the camera played a key role to select our object that is an image for it’s processing. In this, we are giving command on camera to identify the gestures by Touch less SDK and reducing manual efforts.
Frequent Item set Mining of Big Data for Social MediaIJERA Editor
Big data is a term for massive data sets having large, more varied and complex structure with the difficulties of storing, analyzing and visualizing for further processes or results. Bigdata includes data from email, documents, pictures, audio, video files, and other sources that do not fit into a relational database. This unstructured data brings enormous challenges to Bigdata. The process of research into massive amounts of data to reveal hidden patterns and secret correlations named as big data analytics. Therefore, big data implementations need to be analyzed and executed as accurately as possible. The proposed model structures the unstructured data from social media in a structured form so that data can be queried efficiently by using Hadoop MapReduce framework. The Bigdata mining is essential in order to extract value from massive amount of data. MapReduce is efficient method to deal with Big data than traditional techniques. The proposed Linguistic string matching Knuth-Morris-Pratt algorithm and K-Means clustering algorithm gives proper platform to extract value from massive amount of data and recommendation for user.Linguistic matching techniques such as Knuth–Morris–Pratt string matching algorithm are very useful in giving proper matching output to user query. The K-Means algorithm is one which works on clustering data using vector space model. It can be an appropriate method to produce recommendation for user.

Performance Improvement Of Bengali Text Compression Using Transliteration And...IJERA Editor
In this paper, we propose a new compression technique based on transliteration of Bengali text to English. Compared to Bengali, English is a less symbolic language. Thus transliteration of Bengali text to English reduces the number of characters to be coded. Huffman coding is well known for producing optimal compression. When Huffman principal is applied on transliterated text significant performance improvement is achieved in terms of decoding speed and space requirement compared to Unicode compression.
Comparison of Total Actual Cost for Different Types of Lighting Bulbs Used In...IJERA Editor
This paper presents a comparison of actual cost for three different lighting bulbs typically used in houses. They are Incandescent light, Compact Florescent Light CFL and Light Emitted Diode Light LED. The comparison takes in respect how much each lighting bulb consumes actual power and how much it costs in respect of Kuwait’s regulation. Thus, the cost efficiency of each type is calculated. The study deals with typical houses in Kuwait taking in respect the regulation of the distribution and installation rules (R6), [1] of the ministry of water and electricity in Kuwait for the year 2014
Cyclic Response of Reinforced Concrete Moment Resisting Beams Repaired with E...IJERA Editor
This paper presents the results of a quasi-static cyclic test carried out on a reinforced concrete special moment resisting beam to study the efficiency of traditional repair techniques in restoring the strength and stiffness capacity of damaged RC beams. The beam was tested in a cantilever mode and was subjected to a standard loading protocol with increasing amplitude of displacement cycles. The final damage state of the beam consisted of severe cracking and spalling of the cover concrete. The cracks were repaired with low-viscosity injection epoxy and the spalled concrete was repaired with early-strength grout. The repaired specimen was subjected to the same loading protocol as the original specimen to study the efficiency of the repair technique employed. It was observed that epoxy injection is not effective in restoring the strength and stiffness of beams with bar slip of longitudinal bars at the support end.
Design Optimization Of Chain Sprocket Using Finite Element AnalysisIJERA Editor
Chain sprocket is one of the important component of chain drive for transmitting power from one shaft to another. To ensure efficient power transmission chain sprocket should be properly designed and manufactured. There is a possibility of weight reduction in chain drive sprocket. In this study, chain sprocket is designed and analysed using Finite Element Analysis for safety and reliability. ANSYS software is used for static and fatigue analysis of sprocket design. Using these results optimization of sprocket for weight reduction has been done. As sprocket undergo vibration, modal analysis is performed
Green Synthesis of Calcium Oxide Nanoparticles and Its ApplicationsIJERA Editor
Green synthesis of metal oxide nanoparticles is gaining considerable interest due to the use of environmentally friendly reactants and room temperature synthesis. This is the most preferred method of preparation as it makes use of pollution free chemicals and encourages the use of non-toxic solvents such as water and plants extracts. The present study is proposed with an objective to synthesize CaO nanoparticles by the eco-friendly green synthesis using environmentally benign papaya leaf extract and Green Tea extract. The obtained CaO nanoparticles have been characterized by UV- Vis, Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) X-ray Diffraction (XRD), and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) studies. The antibacterial and photocatalytic activity of the calcium oxide nanoparticles were also analysed.

Dielectric properties of Ni-Al nano ferrites synthesized by citrate gel methodIJERA Editor
Ni–Al ferrite with composition of NiAlxFe2-xO4 (x=0.2, 0.4 0.6, and 0.8, ) were prepared by citrate gel method. The Dielectric Properties for all the samples were investigated at room temperature as a function of frequency. The Dielectric constant shows dispersion in the lower frequency region and remains almost constant at higher frequencies. The frequency dependence of dielectric loss tangent (tanδ) is found to be abnormal, giving a peak at certain frequency for mixed Ni-Al ferrites. A qualitative explanation is given for the composition and frequency dependence of the dielectric loss tangent.

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.
Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

ABSTRACT
Manual method of sorting out for result and computing it has posed a big problem to exams unit in
ChukwuemekaOdumegwuOjukwu University (COOU), In Anambra State, Nigeria. During computation of
results, the exam officers collect paper results from the department and either calculate them on papers or enter
them on a computer for computation. Either of them is hard work and time wasting. Hence we propose a change
and retrieval agent in computing results in ChukwuemekaOdumegwuOjukwu University, Uli. Since the
University already has an existing website, we require a new format for uploading results to the website using
Microsoft excel witheight (8) specific columns namely: names of students, registration numbers, continuous
assignment, examination score, total score, grade and remarks done by course lecturers. To compute the results
of a particular student, the exam officer opens the application; enters the required detail and the application will
fetch and populate the grade fields automatically from the results already uploaded on the university website by
the course lecturers. The application needs internet connection in order to do this. Thereafter the results are
computed by the application. The methodology used is Object Oriented Analysis and Design Methods. The
application is a windows application written with Microsoft visual basic.net. The database used in saving login
information and computed CGPAs is a free distributed database MySQL. The result of this researchis a
functional result retrieval and computation application used only by the authorized personnel for computation of
degree results.

I. INTRODUCTION
Information is a processed data. It is also a
stimulus that has meaning in some context for its
receiver. When information is entered into and
stored in a computer, it is generally referred to as
data. After processing (such as formatting and
printing), output data can again be perceived as
information. Communication is the act or process of
using words, sounds, signs, or behaviors to express
your ideas, thoughts, feelings, etc., to someone else
(Merriam Webster, 1828).Information and
Communication Technology (ICT) is an umbrella
term that includes any communication device or
application encompassing: radio, television, cellular
phone, computer and network hardware and
software, satellite systems and so on, as well as the
various services and applications associated with
them (Zuppo, Colrain,M, 2016). The broadness of
ICT covers any product that will store, retrieve,
manipulate transmit or receive information
electronically in a digital form (Zuppo, Colrain,M,
2016). A system is a collection of inter-related and
inter-connected components that work together to
perform or carryout a specific task in order to
accomplish a particular goal. For every system,
security is a paramount issue. Due to multiple
security incidents around the world and the loss of
sensitive data, it has become necessary to put in
place a mechanism to prevent unauthorized access
into the server housing a sensitive system such as
the Student Result Processing System through
scripts run on the website. This paper is therefore
concerned with applying a Php/MySQL to serve as
the security mechanism between the front-end and
back-end of the already existing Student Result
Processing System. The Student Result Processing
System automatically handle students' activities in
the School ranging from student registration,
keeping of students' files for decision making,
computation and generation of students' grade
points and transcripts respectively. The manual
method of gathering results before computation will
be a thing of the past since results will be uploaded
electronically and be seen at any time at the
departmental level and exams and records office
too, any mutilation in the results the system sends
messages across different course lectures through
SMS alert.

1.2 Aims and Objectives
The aim of this study is to implement ICT
as a change agent in computing students result in
COOU. The major objectives are:
1. Toapply a secure database system to record and
manage student information and their result
from year one to final year and give them their
transcript online whenever the need arises in
Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University
Uli Anambra state, Nigeria.
2. To ensure high level quality service
development of the management which will
ensure that students are not subjected to undue
suffering in collection of their transcript or
clearance prior to the deployment for youth
service. The separation of the front end and the
back end to ensure data stored on the server is
secure. The system is secure from
unauthorized access that can effect changes in
grades of students and generation of accurate
and error free student results information is
assured.
3. To ensure that students’ results are processed
as at the time the students are due. It also saves
students the time, clustering in front of exams
and record office waiting or looking for the
exam officer in charge of their department
which is a problem encountered in manual
processing. Also it gives students the
opportunity to apply for their transcript online.
4. To ensure reliability and transparency in the
creation and computation of results
5. To provides security mechanism to check
student or staff mischievous act of changing
marks or grades on the result sheet.
6. To ensure high level quality service
development of the management which will
ensure that students are not subjected to undue
suffering in collection of their transcript or
clearance prior to the deployment for youth
service.
This paper work covers the entire back-
end protection of the Student Result Processing
System in the faculty of Physical Sciences; which
include these departments listed below: Computer
Science, Geology, Pure and Industrial Chemistry,
Industrial Physics, Mathematics and Statistics,
compute students result for National Youth Service
Core (NYSC) and print student transcript whenever
the need arises.
Information and Communication Technology
Information and Communication
Technology (ICT) is an umbrella term that includes
any communication device or application
encompassing: radio, television, cellular phone,
computer and network hardware and software,
satellite systems and so on, as well as the various
services and applications associated with them,
such as videoconferencing and distance learning.
ICTs are often spoken of in a particular context,
such as ICTs in education, health care or libraries.
It is also an extended term for Information
Technology (IT) which stresses the role of unified
(James, 2011) and the integration of
telecommunication (telephone lines and wireless
signals.), computers as well as necessary enterprise
software, middleware, storage and audio-visual
systems, which enable users to access, store,
transmit, and manipulate information (information
and communication technology from FOLDOC,
2008). However, ICT has no universal definition,
as the concepts, methods and applications involved
in ICT are constantly evolving on an almost daily
basis (www.tutor2u.net,2015). The broadness of
ICT covers any product that will store, retrieve,
manipulate, transmit or receive information
electronically in a digital form. Importance of ICT
is so vast; it is one of the economic development
pillars to gain national competitive advantage. It
can improve the quality of human life in all rounds.
Management Information System (MIS)
Management information system is a
computer based system that provides managers
with the tools to organize evaluate and efficiently
manage departments within an organization
(Laudon,K& Laudon P, 2010). Management
information system can include software that helps
in decision making, data resources such as
databases, the hardware resources of a system,
decision support systems, people management and
project management applications, and any
computerized processes that enable the department
to run efficiently. The role of management
information system (MIS) manager is to focus on
the organization’s information and technology
systems (Joshi 2013). The MIS managers analyses
the business problem, designs it and maintains
computer applications to solve the
organizationsproblem.MIS focuses on the
management of information systems to provide
efficiency and effective management (Joshi 2013).

Analysis of the Present System
In ChukwuemekaOdumegwuOjukwu
University in Anambra state, Nigeria all results and
transcript processing are done manually; Results
get lost, mutilated and results officer does the
collection using paper. Students find it difficult to
get their results computed as at when due and
collectionof their results before National Youth
Service Core (NYSC)becomes a problem because
the exam officer does the computation based on
sentiments not doing the right thing accordingly.
Lecturers do not know what happen to the results
submitted by them afterwards due to the manual
method also. Transcript takes time because of the
manual method and students who are no longer
close find it practically impossible to collect their
transcript when the need arises.
Analysis of the Proposed System
The new system or the proposed system is a
windows application that works with internet
connection. This system is written with Microsoft
visual basic.net. the system run on a Microsft.net
framework 4.0 or later. The system is secured, fast
and reliable. Mutilation and other dangers in the
present system will no longer be there. A web
based results uploaded using Microsoft excel
format witheight (8) specific columns consisting of
names of students, registration numbers,
continuous assignment, examination score, total
score, grade and remarks done by course lecturers
is required. The name of the file will be save with
the code of the course and the session written as on
word e.g. CIS1011516. CIS 101 is the course code
and the session 2015/2016 is written as 1516.
During computation of results, the exam officer
uses the proposed application to retrieve each
student’s uploaded results instead of going through
manual departmental files to collect results. The
exam officer can do this by entering the registration
number of the particular student he wants to
compute. Next he selects the level and the session
of the results he wants. Next, the application goes
to the university website and retrieve the already
uploaded results wherever the registration number
supplied exists on those excel worksheet $sheet1
[column 2] and places the grades on the respective
fields of the course grades on the graphical user
interface of the proposed application. Students
results are sent out on line, manual method of
picking results for computation is a thing of the
past since results are retrieved from the university
website by the proposed application. Students
information will already be in the department,
Course lecturers, departmental exam officer and the
Head of the Department have access to the web
based platform and get notification through instant
message alert or through their electronic mail
address that a result score and grade have been
tampered with after a submission has been done.
This method helps to check mate results effectively.
Transcript can be collected anywhere a student is, it
saves time and risk of travelling since he/ she can
pay on-line and collect immediately.
II. METHODOLOGY AND DATABASE
USED
The methodology used is Object Oriented
Analysis and Design Methods (OOADM). This
methodology involves requirements, design,
implementation, verification and maintenance. The
database used in this research is MySQL because it
serves as the security mechanism between the
front-end and back-end of the already existing
Student Result processing. Additionally, the
database is free, hence it will enable us to deploy
the application at the minimum cost possible.
Input Design
This section includes the various input design interfaces in the system.

Result computation
To compute result, the user will need to enter the names and registration number of the student. The
registration number is the key information as it is the primary key. Additionally, the user need to select the result
session from the list.

III. CONCLUSION
The Computer-Based Result Management
Information Systems (CBRMIS) is important.
They underpin all the activities of a result
management system by providing the basic storage
and retrieval technology. The result application and
transcript software send data to and receive data
from the DBMS to the appropriate places. Students
will no longer be stressed, to get their result
computed and lecturers and head of department
will no longer be receiving calls at random to
produce or re-submit the results they had already
done. In order to provide a security mechanism for
the Students' Result Processing System's database,
a study of the database was necessary. This paper
has produced a Php/MySQL to keep the system's
database in a secure condition. The System was
designed to receive PHP requests, query the
database and return the response back to Frontend,
thus preventing unauthorized access into the
database through PHP scripts and other methods
used by hackers. The package is flexible and
dynamic, making future enhancements possible as
the database grows and evolves.
