This paper is to discuss to design and fabrication of a manual spring rolling machine by a simple mechanism arrangement for the production of closed and open coil helical springs. This machine is operated by manual method. This machine produces closed coil helical spring of different diameter and different length. Rolling is the process of bending metal wire to a curved form. The article in the shape of round is made by spring roller shaft. Rolling operation can be done on hand or power operated rolling machine. It can make a spring from a shaft. A shaft is a rotating machine element which is used to transmit power from one place to another. A bearing is machine element which supports another moving machine element. Guider is used to guide the raw material (spring wire). This guider moves on the shaft automatically. This self-movement is achieved by the lead of spring. Handle is used to operate the rolling machine manually, without electric power frame is carries an all parts of the machine, it is made up of mild steel. A work holding mechanism is used to hold the mandrel; it is attached to the main shaft of machine. Mandrel is fitting in the work holding mechanism, the mandrel’s outer diameter is known as internal diameter of the spring.

Adjustable crank mechanism is used for increase the range or the radius of circle traced by the worktable .speed required for machine can easily vary by using speed regulator for large plant but small plant we can easily change the motor.

The integration of non-dispatchable renewable energy sources (RES) poses serious challenges to power system planning and operation. At system level, a major issue regards the short and long-term frequency stability due to the reduction of regulating reserve margins, in turn brought about by the displacement of conventional generation and lack of contribution by the RES. This problem is especially present in isolated or weakly connected systems, and may become the limiting factor for renewable penetration. The paper proposes a fast algorithm to quantify the benefits of advanced control, protection and defense systems in increasing RES penetration in weakly connected power systems. In fact, advanced solutions relying on both system design and operating measures may be of paramount importance to allow the secure integration of more RES generation. During computation of results, the exam officers collect paper results from the department and either calculate them on papers or enter them on a computer for computation. Either of them is hard work and time wasting. Hence we propose a change and retrieval agent in computing results in ChukwuemekaOdumegwuOjukwu University, Uli. Since the University already has an existing website, we require a new format for uploading results to the website using Microsoft excel witheight (8) specific columns namely: names of students, registration numbers, continuous assignment, examination score, total score, grade and remarks done by course lecturers.To compute the results of a particular student, the exam officer opens the application; enters the required detail and the application will fetch and populate the grade fields automatically from the results already uploaded on the university website by the course lecturers. The application needs internet connection in order to do this. Thereafter the results are computed by the application. The methodology used is Object Oriented Analysis and Design Methods. The application is a windows application written with Microsoft visual basic.net. The database used in saving login information and computed CGPAs is a free distributed database MySQL. The result of this researchis a functional result retrieval and computation application used only by the authorized personnel for computation of degree results.

Typical structures subjected to lateral loads include bridge abutments, transmission tower, sand offshore platforms. Traffic, wind, wave, and seismic forces are common types of lateral loads subjected to pile foundations. The present work is focused on understanding the lateral load capacity of vertical piles located near crest of the slope and subjected to the lateral and inclined loads. The experimental investigation was carried out to study the effect of reinforcing an earth slope on the inclined loading behavior of a single vertical pile located near the slope. Layers of geogrid were used to reinforce a sandy slope of 1V:2H. The parametric studies were performed by varying the length of pile(L), angle of inclination of load (θ), number of geogrid reinforcement (Nr) and crest distance. It was observed that the lateral load capacity of pile depends upon these parameters. In the present investigation, Polyaniline / Zinc oxide with various weight percentage of Zinc oxide (10%, 20%, 30, 40% and 50%) were synthesized by in-situ polymerization method. The prepared composites were characterized by X-Ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Fourier Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). The dc conductivity of the samples was measured as a function of temperature in the range 30-180oC and it was found that increasing the concentration of ZnO particles increases the conductivity. Ac conductivity of the composites was studied with respect to frequency.

While non-compliance with statutory provisions are measured based on the audit findings Audit Board consisting of local loss, the potential loss of local , lack of receipt, administration, waste, inefficiency and ineffectiveness. This study is a survey of the region of the provincial government of DKI Jakarta and Banten for 2010 to 2014. Samples in this study were all the Local Government Unit that generate financial reports of local governments totaling nine units, so this study is census research, in the sense that the entire population sampled. Data analysis method used is the ordinal logistic regression because the dependent variable is the rank (category) and the data is not normal. From the results of the data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the weaknesses of the internal control system and non-compliance with statutory provisions affect the audit opinion of the audit board either jointly or partially.
A Review of Strategies to Promote Road Safety in Rich Developing Countries: t...IJERA Editor
Road safety policies, strategies and action plans, along with trends in road traffic injuries (RTIs) in the oil-rich Gulf Cooperative Council (GCC) countries were examined to appraise their road safety work with an overall objective of identifying key measures and initiatives that would reduce RTA and their resulting consequences in these countries. Data on RTIs was obtained from police and from vital statistics and was analyzed. Research papers, policy documents, and strategies, obtained from relevant stakeholders in the six GCC countries, were reviewed and discussed. Traffic Safety Programs and action plans, which were the most fundamental documents in the development of the GCC countries’ road safety policies and strategies, were reviewed. Policy documents on road safety and traffic related issues were searched on the websites of related authorities. Published research on road safety in GCC countries was searched using available databases. Analysis of accident data shows that the fatality rates in all the GCC countries are much higher than developed countries with good safety records. The six administrations started the fundamental traffic safety programs to combat the increase in RTIs, with some succeeding in reducing RTI rates by implementing vast road safety improvements. However, RTIs increased again mainly because of increasing traffic volume and high-risk driving behavior. Developing and implementing national road safety strategies in some GCC countries was successful in reducing the RTI rates. The road safety situation in the six GCC countries was assessed showing high crash and fatality rates compared to developed countries. Most GCC countries still suffer from sustainable increase in traffic crashes despite the efforts to reduce their magnitude and severity. Some of these countries have developed and implemented national road safety strategies, while countries like Oman still need to develop such a long-term strategy. Following the review of the current progress in road safety initiatives developed or implemented, it is apparent that there is still considerable room for improvement. In view of the fact that the oil-rich GCC countries have similar economic, social, and political background, a number of specific areas of action common to all countries were identified to achieve a safer road environment in the studied countries.

This paper presents the results of a quasi-static cyclic test carried out on a reinforced concrete special moment resisting beam to study the efficiency of traditional repair techniques in restoring the strength and stiffness capacity of damaged RC beams. The beam was tested in a cantilever mode and was subjected to a standard loading protocol with increasing amplitude of displacement cycles. The final damage state of the beam consisted of severe cracking and spalling of the cover concrete. The cracks were repaired with low-viscosity injection epoxy and the spalled concrete was repaired with early-strength grout. The repaired specimen was subjected to the same loading protocol as the original specimen to study the efficiency of the repair technique employed. It was observed that epoxy injection is not effective in restoring the strength and stiffness of beams with bar slip of longitudinal bars at the support end.

The present study is proposed with an objective to synthesize CaO nanoparticles by the eco-friendly green synthesis using environmentally benign papaya leaf extract and Green Tea extract. The obtained CaO nanoparticles have been characterized by UV- Vis, Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) X-ray Diffraction (XRD), and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) studies. The antibacterial and photocatalytic activity of the calcium oxide nanoparticles were also analysed.

Influence of Ruthenium doping on Structural and Morphological Properties of M...IJERA Editor
The present work examines the effect of Ru doping on MoO3 thin films on steel substrate deposited by Sol-gel spin coat method. The annealing temperature was 6000C for pure MoO3 and 8000C for Ru doped thin films. The doping concentration of Ru was varied from 10 to 50wt%. The influence of Ru doping on structural and morphological properties of MoO3 thin films were studied. The XRD revealed that all films are highly crystalline in nature with monoclinic phase for molybdenum peaks. In the doped XRD pattern some new peaks were observed and are matched with ruthenium orthorhombic phase indicating an incorporation of dopant in pure molybdenum oxide. The same is confirmed with the compositional analysis by EDAX. The SEM images of the MoO3 resemble a rod like surface with porous morphology. Incorporation of Ru ions in molybdenum oxide decreases the length of the rods and vanishes after 40wt%. Tetragonal grain size increases from 20wt% of Ru and becomes maximum at 50wt% of Ru doped thin films

Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.

ABSTRACT
This paper is to discuss to design and fabrication of a manual spring rolling machine by a simple mechanism
arrangement for the production of closed and open coil helical springs. This machine is operated by manual
method. This machine produces closed coil helical spring of different diameter and different length. Rolling is
the process of bending metal wire to a curved form. The article in the shape of round is made by spring roller
shaft. Rolling operation can be done on hand or power operated rolling machine. It can make a spring from a
shaft. A shaft is a rotating machine element which is used to transmit power from one place to another. A
bearing is machine element which supports another moving machine element. Guider is used to guide the raw
material (spring wire). This guider moves on the shaft automatically. This self-movement is achieved by the
lead of spring. Handle is used to operate the rolling machine manually, without electric power frame is carries
an all parts of the machine, it is made up of mild steel. A work holding mechanism is used to hold the mandrel;
it is attached to the main shaft of machine. Mandrel is fitting in the work holding mechanism, the mandrel’s
outer diameter is known as internal diameter of the spring.

I. INTRODUCTION
A spring is a device that changes its shape
in response to an external force, returning to its
original shape when the force is removed. The
energy expended in deforming the spring is stored in
it and can be recovered when the spring returns to its
original shape. The amount of deformation is
directly proportional to force exerted. Spring rolling
industry is a large and growing industry. There are
many special purpose machines used in this industry
to-day. The proper selection of the machines
depends upon the type of the work under –taken by
the particular industry. There are many examples of
spring rolling work include iron, copper, tin,
aluminum, stainless and brass. This project the
“SPRING ROLLING MACHINE” finds huge
application in all spring rolling industry. Rolling is
the process of bending metal wire to a curved form.
The article in the shape of round is made by spring
roller shaft. Rolling operation can be done on hand
or power operated rolling machine. In forming round
spring shapes a gradual curve is to be put in the
metal rather than sharp bends. The gap between the
springs can be regulated by proper arrangement.
Spring is elastic bodies (generally metal) that can be
twisted, pulled or stretched by some force. They can

force is released. In other words it is also termed as a
resilient member. A spring is defined as an elastic
machine element, which deflects under the action of
the load & returns to its original shape when the load
is removed. Mechanical springs are used in machine
designs to exert force, provide flexibility, and to
store or absorb energy. Springs are manufactured for
many different applications such as compression,
extension, torsion, power, and constant force.
Depending on the application, a spring may be in a
static, cyclic or dynamic operating mode. A spring is
usually considered to be static if a change in
deflection or load occurs only a few times, such as
less than 10,000 cycles during the expected life of
the spring. A static spring may remain loaded for
very long periods of time. The failure modes of
interest for static springs include spring relaxation,
set and creep.
II. PROBLEM STATEMENT
Rolling process for production of open and
closed coil helical spring was difficult for different
materials due to the variation in modulus of rigidity.
And for the purpose of production of springs with
different diameters usage of chuck made difficulty
due to its unavailability and increased cost and also
its maintenance. Which also abruptly increases the
weight of the mechanism more than expected. So we
had to replace the chuck by another holding
mechanism which solved the difficulties that caused
by chuck.
III. OBJECTIVE AND SCOPE
The goal of this project is to design and
fabrication of a manual spring rolling machine by a

simple mechanism arrangement for the production of
closed and open coil helical springs. The specific
characteristics being variable spring diameters,
variable spring coil diameters of various materials
by manual rolling process. The scope of this project
is the application of this “MANUAL SPRING
ROLLING MACHINE” in small scale industries for
the production of open and closed helical springs of
varying spring coil diameters and varying spring
diameter, without much expense in a small scale
level.
The importance of this study was that to
know about the different springs that are used in
many automobile parts and other mechanisms, and
the crucial role that they play in different
mechanisms. The spring machine is made by a very
simple arrangement. This machine is operated by
manual method. This machine produces closed coil
helical spring of different diameter and different
length. In our project is the spring rolling machine.
Rolling is the process of bending metal wire to a
curved form.
IV. WORKING PRINCIPLE
When the hand wheel is rotated, the shaft
will run. The main shaft is coupled to the bearing
with the help of mild steel plate arrangement. The
main shaft is rotated with help of hand wheel
rotation. Before the hand wheel rotation, the spring
wire locked to the lock nut in the spring mandrel.
The spring wire is supplied by applying the load
through a guide which is fixed in the frame stand.
The guide will rotate freely according to the speed of
the spring rolling shaft.
The main shafts one end is coupled to the
chuck and other end is coupled to the hand wheel. A
spindle shaft or mandrel (various diameters) is
attached to the chuck and it rotates.
The spring rolling shaft is rotated when the
hand wheel is rotates. The spring is rolled with the
spring rolling shaft. The change in the length of
spring due to the rotation of the spring is decided by
the operator. After making the required length of the
spring the hand wheel is rotation is stopped. After
producing the finished product of spring, the
procedure is repeated for mass production.

rolling machine was done in Solid Works software
version 2011.

Springs are usually made from alloys of
steel. The most common spring steels are music
wire, oil tempered wire, chrome silicon, chrome
vanadium, and 302 and 177 stainless. Other
materials can also be formed into springs, depending
on the characteristics needed. Some of the more
common of these exotic metals include beryllium
copper, phosphor bronze, Inconel, Monel, and
titanium.

VII. CONCLUSION
After completing the work, it is concluded
that work is simple in construction and compact in
size for use. Even in the absence of power supply it
can be operated manually, and also manufacturing of
machine is easy and cost of the machine is less .This
machine can fabricate spring up to 3mm wire
diameter of spring with less production time with
ease by mass or batch production. This work can be
implemented in small scale industries.
