Essay Of Internet
Crafting an essay on the topic of the internet can be a multifaceted challenge, as it involves
navigating through the vast expanse of information available while balancing the need for depth
and coherence. The internet, being a dynamic and ever-evolving subject, presents the writer with
the daunting task of staying current with the latest developments and trends.
One of the difficulties lies in striking the right balance between the technical aspects of the
internet and its societal implications. The internet encompasses a wide range of topics, including
its history, infrastructure, technologies, impact on communication, economy, and culture.
Researching and integrating these diverse facets into a cohesive narrative requires careful
consideration and thorough analysis.
Moreover, the fast-paced nature of technological advancements in the online realm poses a
challenge in maintaining the relevance of the content. The landscape of the internet is constantly
shifting, making it imperative for the writer to stay abreast of the latest innovations and their
potential effects on various aspects of life.
Another hurdle is avoiding the pitfalls of information overload. The sheer volume of data
available on the internet can be overwhelming, and selecting pertinent and credible sources is
crucial. This demands discernment and critical thinking to sift through the plethora of
information and identify reliable and authoritative references.
Furthermore, the essay should not merely serve as a compilation of facts but should also offer a
unique perspective or argument. Crafting an original and thought-provoking thesis requires a
deep understanding of the subject matter and the ability to synthesize information in a way that
contributes to the existing body of knowledge.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the internet is indeed a formidable task, involving the
navigation of a vast and dynamic landscape, staying current with technological developments,
and synthesizing information coherently. For those seeking assistance in navigating this
challenge, HelpWriting.net offers a platform where similar essays and a variety of writing
services can be readily accessed.

Segregation In Cities
Segregation in cities has been an issue ever since the beginning of time. People
have always liked to put themselves in boxes, and divide people up by seemingly
arbitrary concepts. Some of these divisions happen due to more physical traits, with
the most prominent example being segregation based on racial differences, with
certain ethnicities being concentrated in certain areas of the city. In a more modern
setting, this can be seen in inner cities areas considered to be black neighborhoods ,
due to the large african americanpopulation.
This type of segregation was commonplace during the early to mid 20th century, as
racial segregation was still fairly common in most major cities. It was discriminatory,
and oftentimes, these people lived in poor conditions. Cramped and subpar housing
was not uncommon here, and the term ghetto was usually applied to these areas.
While the term was originally used for a neighborhood consisting of a single ethnic
group, a more negative connotation was applied to the term when used to describe
black neighborhoods.
This can also be used as an example of residential segregation, in which people are
divided up based on social class , or the amount of wealth they have. It applies to
those living in crowded city areas, as opposed to more affluent families that have a

For a while in the early 20 s and 30 s, the Jewish population was highly segregated,
and even treated like animals in some cases. The German government at the time
attempted to eradicate them under the rule of Adolf Hitler, marking one of the
darkest eras in human history. These people were given poor living conditions, even
outside the concentration camps. To this day, Jewish people still face discrimination
due to their religion. In turn, this does not apply to a single group, many groups can
still face segregation, despite their race, gender, religious affiliations, socio economic
standing, and so
Domestic Disaster Assistance
Domestic Disaster Assistance Versus International Assistance
Numerous definitions of disasters exist with differing criteria such as the number of
fatalities or amount of property damage. This author defines disasters in the following
manner. Within a country a disaster occurs when its magnitude overwhelms the
ability of the local resources to adequately respond the to victims. For international
disasters, the magnitude must overwhelm the ability of the entire country to
adequately respond to the victims. The philosophy, mission, and purpose for domestic
disaster assistance shall now be compared and contrasted with international disaster
assistance. The domestic disaster assistance philosophy focuses on activities within
the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Both of these areas advocate saving lives, meeting the needs of the disaster victims,
and engaging in preparedness activities. The primary difference between international
and domestic assistance lies in their respective philosophy. The domestic philosophy
focuses inward, involves a whole community approach, and addresses property
protection. The international philosophy, however, focuses on the numerous
international actors and advances safeguards for the host county. In the final analysis,
everyone would agree that the goal of saving lives is paramount.

The rainforest is helpful to us in many ways. Rainforests can be found all over the
world from as far north as Alaska and Canada to Latin America, Asia and Africa.
Rainforests are found on every continent across the Earth, except Antarctica. There
are two major types of rainforest: temperate rainforests and tropical rainforests. The
largest temperate rainforests are found on North America s Pacific Coast and stretch
from Northern California up into Canada. Temperate rainforests used to exist on
almost every continent in the world, but today only 50 percent 75 million acres of
these forests remain worldwide. Rainforests act as the world s thermostat by ... Show

Comparing Cisneros Border Crossings And Beyond
As Carmen Rivera states in Border Crossings and Beyond, The predominant image
of docile, submissive, nurturing, and effacing women who relegate their own needs
and personal desires to tend to needs of others, particularly the men and children in
their families, gives way to literary representations of assertive, self supporting,
tenacious, and strong willed women who assume control of their lives and
circumstances (Rivera, Border Crossings and Beyond ). In the short story Woman
Hollering Creek, CleГіfilas is defenseless in an abusive marriage. By writing about

narrator in His Story who doesn t give into culturally inscribed genderroles. It s

back on our story and pity me, Arachne, a prideful and arrogant girl who you so

dreams you shattered, and the curse you bestowed. No one will see you the way I do.
Don t mistake me, I acknowledge my flaws. I can see now that I was conceited and
foolish, but I was young and eager to prove myself.
As I grew up, weaving was all I knew. Born the daughter of Idmon of Colophon a
famous purple dyer, I knew from a young age that I would one day weave the most
gorgeous pictures that would be admired by all. Desire filled my heart to create
something that would catch even your attention and respect, the goddess of wisdom
and skill, known for her talents in weaving. So for years I toiled over my loom for
hours at a time, until one day, I was satisfied. In these years my skill grew at
unimaginable rates, my pride and ignorance was never far behind. People
everywhere began praising my work. When asked if you taught me, I eagerly
claimed I never needed your help. I now see these statements were the beginning of

How To Raise The Space Shuttle
For years, scientists had been trying to create a reusable spacecraft that could carry
supplies to the space station and do other tasks that would be easier with a reusable
spacecraft. The Space Shuttle lifted off into space for the first time on April 12,
1981, and for the last time on July 8, 2011. It would glide to a landing on a runway
facing horizontally and be launched with a rocket attached to get it up into space.
Five Space Shuttles were built. They were called Challenger, Discovery, Atlantis,
Columbia, and Endeavour. These shuttles were used to fly cargo and people to the
ISS or International Space Station. It was also used to launch the Hubble Space
Telescope, which was well known for discovering many things.

All seven crew members died. The accident investigation board figured out that,
during the launch of the shuttle, a piece of insulating foam had torn from the external
tank and struck the orbiter s left wing, weakening its thermal protection ability. When
the orbiter later reentered the atmosphere, it was unable to withstand the superheated
air, which penetrated the wing and destroyed it, leading to the vehicle s breakup.
These two horrible accidents were part of the reason that NASA canceled the Space
Shuttle program.
On July 8, 2011, Space Shuttle Atlantis flew its last mission. The program was put to
a stop because of safety reasons and new technology that could be used instead of the
old stuff. NASA still launches some things but other companies such as SpaceX have
been used instead to launch satellites.
The Space Shuttle has been used for many missions ranging from restocking the ISS
to launching the Hubble Space Telescope. It takes off using solid rocket boosters and
lands on a runway. After being decommissioned in 2011, the Space Shuttles can be
found in several museums across the United

Barrio Rising Book Report
Barrio Rising is a book about urban popular politics and the making of modern
Venezuela. It portrays the democracy and violence in Venezuela between the 1950s
and the Bolivarian Revolution of 1998. People who lived during these times protested
about the unfair treatment they received from the government. They acted out in
violence, guerilla warfares, and protesting. Their main goal, in these communities,
was to have their voices heard and their demands met to their standards.
In the 1950s, Marcos PГ©rez JimГ©nez, the president, modernized Venezuela by
building dozens of superblocks in the capital, Caracas. These buildings housed several
thousands of poor people without jobs, health care, utilities, etc. With the unfinished

When A Mother s Health Is On A Downward Slope
The purpose of this study is to show that when a mother s health is on a downward
slope, and her children take care of her their relationship is compromised by stress
causing tension. The article also discusses the possibility of favoritism, when it
comes to which child is prefered to take care of their mother. There are many
hypotheses in this article. Some of the researcher/authors hypothesis are as follows:
that a child who has previously taken care of their ill mother for something recent or a
chronic ailment would argue that there is more tension with their siblings who could
/would not provide that care. The researchers hypothesized that when these children
think favoritism is in play, even if it is not, that this will be a major predictor of the
amount of tension in the siblings relationships with one another. Also, researchers
predicted that the adult children who think their mother is favoring one child over
another as a caregiver, will report the greatest amount of stress/tension with their
siblings.
this study was conducted to, examine how favoritism and a mother with declining
health can change siblings relationships from easy going to extremely difficult

people who turn towards each other for someone to lean on when taking care of their

different characters that tell the same story. In the story with the animals: the zebra
is the injured Japanese sailor, the orangutan is Pi s mother, the hyena is the cook,
and the tiger is Pi. However, they seem to stand for more than just another
character in a story. Each of their different actions appear to represent a separate
part of Pi s psyche. In order to fully understand Pi, it is necessary to understand the
animals and their connection to him. The zebra is the first to die at the paws of the
hyena, and stands for Pi s initial fear of the open ocean and the animals on board. The
orangutan, Orange Juice, is said to have been kind, innocent, and maternal,

Lysistrata Analysis Essay

her comrades who have taken control of the Acropolis in Athens. Lysistrata explains
to the old men how the women have seized the Acropolis to keep men from using the
money to make war and to keep dishonest officials from stealing the money. The
opening scene of Lysistrataenacts the stereotypical and traditional characterization of
women in Greece and also distances Lysistrata from this overused expression,

The old men protest how the women they have nourished all these years have turned
against them and seized a sacred shrine. Although, while the men are busy with their
smoking logs, the women walk in carrying pitchers of water which they will pour
over the fires which the men have set. The old men and old women trade insults, but
the women will not back down, and they empty their water over the heads of the old
men. When the magistrate arrives, he tells the men the women s behavior is the
result of the men spoiling their women and treating them with gentleness when they
do not deserve to be cherished. The magistrate orders the men to force open the
doors, but he moves to a safe distance to watch.
When the doors are forced open, Lysistrata emerges. The magistrate orders her
arrested, but the policeman is too intimidated by Lysistrata to arrest her. The other
women join Lysistrata in defying the policemen, who are too cowed to follow the
magistrate s orders to seize the women. The magistrate responds to the women s
actions with a claim, they shall never lose to women and the newly brave police
attack the women, but they are soon beaten off and in retreat. The women say they
can administer the money, since they are used to administering the household money.
Lysistrata also tells the magistrate how the women have been patient while the men
got ready for the war and refused to listen to any advice.

The Historical Context of The Bhagavad Gita and Its Relation to Indian Religious
Doctrines
The Bhagavad Gita is perhaps the most famous, and definitely the most widely read,
ethical text of ancient India. As an episode in India s great epic, the Mahabharata,
The Bhagavad Gita now ranks as one of the three principal texts that define and
capture the essence of Hinduism; the other two being the Upanishads and the Brahma
Sutras. Though this work contains much theology, its kernel is ethical and its
teaching is set in the context of an ethical problem. The teaching of The Bhagavad
Gita is summed up in the maxim your business is with the deed and not with the
result. When Arjuna, the third son of king Pandu (dynasty name: Pandavas) is ...

The conflict between the Pandavas and the Kauravas brewed gradually when the
Kauravas refused to return the kingdom to the Panadavas and honor the agreement
after the fourteen year exile, and escalated to a full scale war when the Kauravas
refused to even grant Yudhisthir s reduced demand for a few villages instead of the
entire kingdom. As the battle is about to begin, Arjuna, himself an acclaimed
warrior, wonders how he could kill his own blood relatives with whom he had grown
up as a child. He puts the battle on hold and begins a conversation with Krishna, one
of the ten but most important incarnations of the Universal Hindu God, Vishnu. The
Bhagavad Gita begins here and ends with Krishna convincing Arjuna that in the
grand scheme of things, he is only a pawn. The best he could do is do his duty and
not question God s will. It was his duty to fight. In convincing Arjuna, the Lord
Krishna provides a philosophy of life and restores Arjuna s nerve to begin the battle
a battle that had been stalled because the protagonist had lost his nerve and needed
time to reexamine his moral values.
Even though The Bhagavad Gita (hereafter referred to as the Gita) is one of the three
principal texts that define the essence of Hinduism, and since all over the world
Hindus chant from the Gita during most of their religious ceremonies, strictly
speaking the Gita is not one of the Hindu scriptures. In light
Dulce Et Decorum Est Essay
Poetry as expressed by the Encyclopaedia Britannica is literature that evokes a
concentrated imaginative awareness of experience or a specific emotional response
through language chosen and arranged for its meaning, sound and rhythm. Poetry has
a large impact on modern society as it can relate to current issues in the world and
expose the truth of these problems, by conveying messages that no other form of
literature can. Wilfred Owen uses this in his poem Dulce Et Decorum Est, through
the use of different values, ideas, attitudes and various poetic techniques to protest
against the mentality that perpetuates war.
Throughout the beginning two stanza s the reader is often directly addressed,
explaining the importance and ethical issues of the war. The speaker is amongst a
group of weak soldiers that have been unexpectedly swallowed by poisonous gas
and forced to hastily pull their gas masks to protect themselves from the deadly
smog. As the speaker peers through the misty fog he watches as one of his
companions, staggers weakly towards him. The man desperately gropes the air
among them as he drops to the ground and submits to the gas, like somebody
drowning. The third stanza changes the perspective to the speaker s dreams. In this
single stanza, he proclaims that he sees the soldier falling towards him in all of his
dreams. In the final couplet, the speaker addresses the readers, informing them that if
they, too, could have undergone such dreams and witnessed... Show more content on

management plan affects everyone. It can change the way students walk into the
classroom, how a teacher does their job and how visitors act when they come to
visit. I have seen this happen in an Elementary school, I have observed it. One class
was quietly walking down the hallway and another class was using outside, loud
voices. It was interesting the reaction some students had to the differences within the
two classes. My philosophy on classroom management came from my schooling and
personal observations. I do not have a physical classroom yet, but have seen many
different styles each teacher uses when in the classroom. The theoretical perspective
that best describes my personal philosophy is the personal needs theory. Stanley
Coopersmith discussed that individuals need to experience a sense of significance,
competence, and power (Jones Jones, 2010, p. 33). I believe that it is important that a
student trust and builds a positive rapport or relationship with you. I believe that
students, who trust and believe in their teacher, with this the student, may tend to
work harder and it gives the student the belief that they can accomplish any task.

It s extremely important, because if you don t use the right way or words to give
the message, some people might not know what you re actually trying to say. Old
Major s delivery was more than expected. Unfortunately, Squealer also did a good
job delivering his message to his listeners. Old Major, uses logos and pathos to
persuade his listeners. He uses logos, to state the facts that needs to be stated in
order to continue his dream. Every animal in the farm knows that their lives are
miserable. They just don t talk about it because they don t actually know what real
happiness is. Old Major did a very good job of explaining what their lives should be
like using Pathos. Pathos is a quality that evokes pity or sadness, according to the
dictionary. He keeps coming to the point about how miserable their lives are, and
how he truly believes that they could be better. Again, Old Major just wants the
equality of all animals. Nothing bigger. Then again, there is Squealer, who
surprisingly uses ethos to describe his opinionated facts to persuade the animals. He
even uses lies and exaggerated facts to reach his goal. Literally, his job is to lie and
hide the fact that Mr.Jones hasn t given up yet. Also, When the animals asked why
the pigs had to take the milk and the apples, Squealer says that they must take them
because they contain substances absolutely necessary to the well being of a pig.

Facial Recognition System
CHAPTER 1 FACIAL RECOGNITION SYSTEM
1.1 INTRODUCTION
A biometrics is, Automated methods of recognizing an individual based on their
unique physical or behavioral characteristics. For example face, fingerprint, signature,
voice etc. Face recognition is a task humans perform remarkably easily and
successfully.
In face recognition Features extracted from a face are processed and compared with
similarly processed faces present in the database. If a face is recognized it is known
or the system may show a similar face existing in database else it is unknown.
Face recognition has been a topic of active research since the 80 s, proposing
solutions to several practical problems. It has been a challenging job for the
researchers to develop a facial recognition system with 100% accuracy because of all
the difficulties and limitations. As we know that the human face changes after a
short period of time so no facial recognition system can work perfectly after a few
years. It has to be updated with the latest database images of the person in order to
verify the person. Also wearing spectacles, mask, mustaches may also affect the
output of the face recognition system. Face recognition is a biometric which is much
easier to understand, because we recognize or identify different people mostly by
their faces. However the recognition process used by the human brain for identifying

John Locke s Argument For Personal Identity Essay
Introduction The purpose of this essay is to define what Personal Identity is by
analyzing John Locke s argument for Personal Identity. John Locke s argument for
Personal Identity will be examined, in order to establish a better understanding of
whether or not the argument for personal identity could be embraced. In order to
do so, the essay will i) State and explain Locke s argument that we are not
substances or mere souls and ii) State and explain Locke s concept of personal
identity and its relations to what he calls self, consciousnessand punishment. This
essay will also focus on Thomas Reid s perspective on personal identity and iii) State
and explain Reid s criticisms of Locke s theory of personal identity, and lastly iv) I
will evaluate whether or not Reid s objections are good. Locke s argument may
seem to be plausible at first, however, the essay will conclude by rejecting John Locke
s argument for personal identity due to Locke s inadequate reasonings and Thomas
Reid s criticisms.
(i)
In John Locke s argument for personal identity, he believes that we are not
substances or mere souls. In his argument, Locke stresses to convey that there is a
crucial difference between distinguishing a man and a person (Locke 221).
According to Locke s definition, a man is a living body which is homogenous to an
animal s body. Therefore, any living body of a particular shapes refers to a man.
Locke emphasizes that a person is a sensible being that is aware of its own
Masculinity And Femininity
Although complementary, the stories told about masculinity and femininity have
very different impacts on those that feel pressured to conform to them, or are
subject to experience their effects by others who do. A particularly insidious source
of these stories comes from advertisements, as noted by Jean Kilbourne in Killing
Us Softly 4 (2010). She quotes a statement by the editor in chief of an advertising
magazine that only 8% of an ad s message is received by the conscious mind. The
rest is worked and reworked deep within the recesses of the brain . The internalization
of the messages from these advertisements unwittingly teaches men and women what
is expected of them, and what is desirable. For women, it is taught that femininity
requires flawless beauty, with unnaturally smooth skin (preferably light toned), shiny
hair, dimple free curves cinched by a tiny waist, and a graceful demeanor. It is taught
that women must pursue this image, whether it be through the purchase of cosmetics
or surgical procedures, or diet products and exercise programs. These advertisements
often depict women as having elegance and sensuality in their passiveness lounging
around as they enjoy beauty products or indulgent foods, or draped upon powerful
men. They must act as though they enjoy being objectified; welcoming men s
advances, even in violent or dangerous situations. In contrast, men in advertisements
are encouraged to model masculinitythrough violence, dismissal of emotions in
The Health Benefits Of Horse Racing
The stench of horse manure and sweat fills the humid air. Click. Clock. You stand

and makes his way to the metal starting gate. Only two years of age, the young steed

The crowd dies down until the only sound heard is the pounding of the stallions on
the metal gates. The crowd hangs in suspense waiting for the blast of the gun

the brilliant broncos bolt onto the track. The new steed is in the lead by about fifty...

As stated in the article 5 reasons why horse races are cruel, Because they re forced
to run so fast, a lot of horses get hurt. But instead of letting them rest and recover
from their injuries, many trainers and veterinarians give them drugs so they won t
feel the pain and can keep on racing. This can cause their injuries to get even worse.
Sometimes they re also given illegal drugs or other stuff that isn t good for them,
like snake venom and alcohol anything to try to make them run faster. These horses
are forced to run fast. No matter what it takes. Imagine drugging a tired olympian so
he would run faster. This is what we are doing to these animals. This is in no way
humane. As stated in the article The Hidden Cruelty Behind Horseracing, Drugging
horses to enhance their performance is a common practice in the horseracing
industry. During their undercover investigation, PETA witnessed horse trainers
giving their animals drugs for hypothyroidism to speed up their metabolism. Not
only does the veterinarians and trainers drug the overworked animals, they hide it.
They hide the horrible, abusive deed that they ve committed. It is not ok to drug
innocent animals but to hide it, that is a whole nother level of wrong. The PETA had
to conduct a private investigation just to get information about this abusive act.
Finally as also claimed in the article The Hidden Cruelty Behind Horseracing, Many

Joseph Stalin A Dictator Analysis
The man with a microphone in his hand, perspiration standing out on his forehead,
passed his tongue over his lips. He was fired up, there was no question about it,
and he was getting solid rounds of applause, but his dissenters were far from giving

Another can struck the steps behind the speaker. Two of his supporters stood and
peered worriedly into the crowd. For the second time in the same day, Storm felt the
threat of violence hanging heavy in the air. He turned at the sound of a dog s bark to
see the dark snout of a large German Shepherd straining at its leash.
A whistle pierced the air as the police made their way rapidly through the crowd.
Two thickset men wearing jeans confronted the uniforms. Pushing and shoving, but
they found themselves thrown hard to the ground and handcuffed. Storm got up and
made his way through the arch and down a stone wall corridor, hoping to find a
way into the building. A large policeman in full protective armor, a helmet over his

On the other side of the columns, Storm saw the black trucks of the riot squad.
Beside them was a white bus with metal grids over the windows. The sides bore the

Summon Night 5 Analysis
Summon Night 5 is a strategy JRPG and part visual novel. At the start of the game
you can pick to play as one of two characters, Arca or Folth. I played mostly as
Folth in this review but I did try out Arca to see if the story changed but it seemed
to stay the same besides the characters gender. Very early in the game you will be
saved by a Cross or in other terms the character that will become your summon. The
Cross you get depends on what item you give it as a reward for saving you early on
in the game. I got a mechanical cross named Dyth.
The story plays out visual novel style so be papered to read a lot, luckily the story
here is well written. After meeting his or her cross the players character will go off
to become a summoner of the Eucross. The Eucross is an order who keep peace
among the different types of entity s from different dimensions who all live in the
mostly peaceful city of Savorle. To advance the story along the player will travel a
big map going to each area that is gold to talk to certain characters. After doing this
you will come to an event where you will end up in a fight. Always save before a
event or you may very well lose hours of play. My only problem with the story wasn
t with the story its self but there are a few typos her and there.
The battles are turn based meaning you get to move all of your characters and use
actions and then end your turn and your enemies will do the same. At the start of
each battle you will be able to select what units you want to use and then you will
start the battle. There s a bit to theses battles as in if you lose ... Show more content on

Persuasive Essay On Lacrosse
A high intensity game that involves physical attributes and cognitive awareness
describes the sport lacrosse. People play lacrosse all over the world and the sport
continues to grow in size. The sport lacrosse dates all the way back to when Indians
would play for land and resources. The word lacrosse translates to Little Brother of
War . Men and women of all ages and levels playthe gamelacrosseto this day. At the
Eastern Cincinnati Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio, the sport lacrosse qualifies as a
club rather than a sport. The sport lacrosse should qualify as a sport because it would
reduce costs, more players would join, it offers benefits, and people would consider
lacrosse as a more serious sport.
In the Eastern Cincinnati Conference, male and female high schoolers who have
an interest in playing the sport lacrosse, have an expensive bill to pay. The cost to
have a spot on the team alone estimates to about 300 dollars. The cost covers
renting the field, transportation, and the use of the weight room. Due to the fact
that lacrosse does not fall under the category of qualifying as a sport, players are
charged more money to cover the fees that the school does not cover. On top of the
300 dollars, a requirement for all players involves the purchasing of equipment for
playing. Players are required to acquire a stick, a mouthguard, a pair of cleats,
spandex, and an eyepiece. Purchasing a stick alone ranges from 50 dollars to close to
300 hundred dollars. Since the fee for

Literary Criticism In Cardinal Richelieu
Alfredo Camacho
Dr. Fontes
CLAS 5
3 October 2017
Book Review Poetry is a form of art that serves the purpose to express the writer s
opinions, and also combat oppressive forces without the use of any physical force.
These writers can relate to the expression by the playwright and novelist Edward
Bulwer Lytton in the play Cardinal Richelieu, The pen is mightier than the sword
(BBC); this expression serves as a metaphor in its own right as the nature describes
the effect of words to provide a stronger impact on the intended audience than any
kind of violence would. This term ties in perfectly with the ideas of Chicanx; the
Chicanx perspective of life is oppression and the dangers of racial tensions and
manners to dethrone those who impose that on others. They have long fought
against the unfair forces that have come against them, and have been involved in
many violent forms of protest. With Cesar Chavez becoming more invested in the
peaceful form of protesting to gain trust and momentum in the campaigns they were
in, more and more writers began to express their feelings and place their own two
cents into the mixture of ideas. Often long stories are made in effort to express a
personal form of how life is changing and growing fears are turning into, however
some writers chose to use poetry as their version of a weapon against the oppressing
forces. A poem is much shorter and does not provide the sufficient build up that can
be placed into a Chicano novel, but the effect of
Pros And Cons Of Gentrification
What would you do if you or someone you knew was forced out of their home
because they couldn t afford the rent and their neighborhoods were changing
economically; this is called gentrification. Due to gentrification, many changes are
occurring to the people and homes that are in those neighborhoods. According to
pbs.org, Gentrification is a general term for the arrival of wealthier people in an
existing urban district, a related increase in rents and property values, and changes in
the district s character and culture. The term is often used negatively, suggesting the
displacement of poor communities by rich outsiders (www.pbs.org). One area where
gentrification is currently taking place is the cityof San Francisco in the Mission
District.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In this area there was gangs and trap houses but now there were small businesses and
higher income people who were moving in and changing the neighborhood.
Gentrification has happened, is happening or will happen in the United States and it
is inevitable due to the government supporting it and the power that money has in
these regions. Although gentrification does have some pros, it also has some
important cons; the first con is the hidden cost that comes with gentrification, the
second con is the rents being raised which leads people to becoming homeless. This
paper will show the history, effects, benefits, and solutions like putting limits to when
and by how much the rent can be raised so that people don t become homeless. This
is not the right time for gentrification because levels of poverty are high and the
amount of people in debt is too much for gentrification to occur at this
Teamwork And Fight For The Music Industry I Knew That

Perseverance: 30 Seconds to Mars
When I first began working in the music industry I knew that it was a cutthroat
business. From the growing competition all the way down to the tight deadlines, I
knew that a career in this field would be something that everyone has to fight for. I
always admired the people in the industry who fought for the rights of their
creativity and stood up to the big name corporations that casted a shadow over this
industry. One particular group of artists that I ve admired for years now because of
this is the band 30 Seconds to Mars. It was through 30 Seconds to Mars that I
learned to always fight for my own creativity and fight for what I believe is truly
right. After a successful worldwide tour that lasted nearly two years, the band had
returned home to Los Angeles to work out a new contract with their label Virgin
Records/EMI. However, when the band began to renegotiate new terms; the
company hit 30 Seconds to Mars with a $30,000,000.00 lawsuit (Cubbins, 2012).
According to Billboard reporter Ayala Ben Yehuda (2008), the record company
decided to sue the band for not delivering three of the five albums that were
established under the band s previous contract. Not only did the band face a huge
lawsuit, but the company also cut off all their financial resources until the band gave
in to their demands. Instead of giving up and taking the short end of the stick, 30
Seconds to Mars took it upon themselves to fund and build their own home studio for
Suffragists Tactics
In this world, women are not always in the equal position as men. Women have
been fighting for their own rights for centuries. Suffragists made great efforts to
win the voting rights for women in the United States. Women s right movement in
the mid 1800s was the beginning of the increasing of the women s social position.
Continuing the early suffragists strategy, the next generation used various tactics in
a more radical way than their predecessors did with an effort to gain the rights to
vote. Though there were a lot of consequences, they never gave up fighting. The
descendent of the early suffragists continued to try to gain rights for women around
the world. Among them, some are really influencial like Alice Paul, Rose Winslow,
and Carrie Chapman Catt. All of them made extremely impressive contributions to
the process of fighting for the suffrage. Catt created a detailed plan with an aim to
gain the suffrage from one state to another and all the suffragists all over the
country followed it as well as those who worked for the rights for women. Their
work had efforts in all these actions and women gradually won the voting rights state
by state. They eventually gained the rights to vote for the... Show more content on

The Child s Sensory Experiences
As a baby enters the world for the first time, they don t have words that they can use
to express nor describe what they encounter. They use their senses ability to engage
with the people in the environment around them. From birth, children learn about the
world through touching, tasting, smelling, seeing, and hearing. Sensory plays an
important part in the development of the brain. Early child development usually
follows a sequence, as the child needs to master one skill before he can acquire the
next, but all children develop at their own rate (Best Start, 2016). Describing the
child s sensory experiences at birth, analyzing how these senses develop and become
more evolved, and describing what a day in this child s life might look like by age 1

Newborn Milestones My sight is limited at this moment in life, but will continue to

Fletcher Vs Hook
Fletcher v. Peck, considered one of the U.S. Supreme Court s landmark decisions, is
the first time the Court declared a state law unconstitutional. It also founded the idea
that both public and private contracts are protected by the contract clause. The case
concerned the question of whether Georgia s legislature had the authority to pass a
law repealing a previous land grant made by the state. The Marshall Court would
eventually find the 1796 act to be unconstitutional because the legislature was
employing the judicial power of deciding a question of title. Marshall felt the contract
clause was the most important evidence in demonstrating the fact that the framers of
the Constitution felt strongly about protecting individuals vested rights.
The Enchanted Ground
While at Vanity Fair, Faithfulness was caught and was killed (Bunyan The Pilgrim

Christ followers need to be ready for anything including death in order to make a
difference in the world. As Christian moves on he meets another man named Hope.
Hope was an encouragement to Christian because he stressed that now he is changed
and he relies only on Christ for his strength (Bunyan The Pilgrim s Progress 158).
While they are together they talk about their journeys up to this point and both realize
that they had actually met the same old wise man and were directed in the same
place. They ponder at what the man had told them and were able to remember that he
had told them that two was better than one because the one is more open to
temptation. They find this advice to be helpful especially as they enter into the place
called the Enchanted Ground. The Enchanted Ground is a ground that is so desirable,
tempting, and often caused death. They recollect that because they are together they
will not succumb to the temptation and will be able to make it through together.
Once the endured the temptations of the Enchanted Grounds they were almost

deceased individual as an empty vessel. What is lying on the table is not the
person, because what makes them a person is gone, it is what is left over. He said
that we have to perform the autopsies on them to help figure out what caused their
death. It was the best advice and I have continued to distance myself from the
individual by thinking in that matter. Even after several years as a deputy coroner,
Michael still has to handle his stress this way. This is especially true when they
bring out the bone saw for opening the chest plate and the skull. Michael has to
move behind a wall in the forensic center and doesn t like to watch the
Special Interest
Define an interest group with examples. Interest group usually a voluntary
organization where members share a common interest in which they seek to influence
public policy, without seeking political control. They have primary activities such as
lobbying the members of the legislative bodies through contributions to political
parties, trying to elect sympathetic or pliable politicians, and by conducting covert or
open propaganda campaigns. (Interest Groups, n.d.) There are a few different types
of interest groups and they are as follows:
Economic Interest Groups This is the largest category that includes organizations that
represent big businesses, such as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National
Association of Manufacturers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(1) They seek to win elections or electoral positions; (2) they reorganize around those
periodic elections and then may become less active, and (3) they depend on the local
mobilization of voters who support political candidates but not necessarily the party
organization. Interest groups are more issue oriented, are continuously maintained,
and are dependent on supporters who identify with their organization. (Browne, n.d.)
One thing that differentiates political parties from interest groups arises from the
nature of the political system in which they operate and from the various electoral
rules and structures that exist in different countries. In corporatist societies, interest
groups may be invited to participate in government decisions to the exclusion of
competitor interests. In parliamentary system, a party may have a narrow base and
may try to win only a small number of legislative seats. (Browne, n.d.)
Explain how interest groups try to influence the president and Congress as these two
branches work together to make policy. Trying to persuade government officials
through direct inside contact is called the inside game. Lobbying is another term for
inside game. Lobbyists normally work for a specific interest group, corporation, or
law firm that specializes in professional lobbying. (Interest Groups, 2012) Lobbying
originates from the way interest groups played the inside games in the nineteenth
Earl Schhamehorn Eulogy
One of my heroes is Earl Schamehorn. He was my fifth grade teacher and is now
one of my dearest friends. Earl is the closest thing to a father figure that I have in
my life. This is why I chose him to be the person I interviewed. I not only find him
interesting, but wanted to know why he decided to get involved in my life. I
thought this would be a good opportunity to ask him question that I have had for a
while. Earl and I first meet when I was in his fifth grade class. He was my teacher
and I remember that his class was fun and I learned a lot from him there. He and
my father also couch high school baseball together at the small private school I
attended. We did not become close until the following years after my father
passed, but we really did not have a strong friendship until he help me build my
first car, a 1979 Volkswagen Bus. During this experience me and Earl became close
and this friendship is still strong today. Earl is a godly man that is drive by his
faith. When I asked him why he took the time and effort to help me and others. His
response was I believe that the Bible is God s word and the Bible explains how those

I found this moving that his belief could so strong effect his action. I know we
were not strangers before my father passed, but we were not close either. Earl is a
man that is driven by his faith in all aspects of his life. He does not try to preach at
you but lets his action show his faith. This has a stronger impact on people it is not
just lip service. Earl is also a kind and generous person. This does not mean he will
not tell you when you are doing something wrong. He has had to all me out many
times throughout the time I have known him. He is also the first to admit when he
has wrong someone else. This question then lead to me asking how he became such a

Karen Perrault Essay
Karen Perrault attended Jay High School in Jay, Maine from 1981 to 1985. She
walked the halls of a newly built school, with one of the first dome gyms in the
state, accompanied by her older brother and her best friend, Lorrina. She recalls the
vast, green sports fields that surrounded the campus, as one of the biggest parts of her
high schoolexperience, for she suited up in her field hockey gear everyday in the
fall and played on them with her team. As fun as the high school years were for her,
she says that it was just another step on the path to being an adult.
What she credits as the biggest part of her high school experience is sports. She was
a devoted field hockey player, track runner, and ski team member for the Jay High
Tigers, all ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She was an all honors student and made the honor roll. One of her favorite classes
was Biology. She liked it because is was captivating and hands on. Her biology
teacher, Mr. Roy, still remains as one of her favorite teachers. He was such a good
teacher because he didn t put a lot of pressure on his students, he made his class
fun, and was very laid back. One her clearest memories of high school academics
happened in his class. In biology, they often conducted dissections. One day while
dissecting eels, (which she wasn t to keen on doing to begin with), Mr. Roy
chased Karen around the classroom with a dead eel for a good five minutes!
Another stand out class for her was freshman English. This class is fondly
remembered because of the teacher, who made the class fun and really connected
with her students, which didn t happen so much when she was in high school.
Some nights, Karen remembers coming home from school, and working on hours
of homework until her eyes could hardly stay open, particularly in her junior year,
which she claims was the hardest year of high school work wise. Getting good
grades and putting in as much effort as possible to all assignments was very
important to her. She was determined to graduate high school and go off to college,
and she knew that in order to do that, she would need to work

  • 2. Segregation In Cities Segregation in cities has been an issue ever since the beginning of time. People have always liked to put themselves in boxes, and divide people up by seemingly arbitrary concepts. Some of these divisions happen due to more physical traits, with the most prominent example being segregation based on racial differences, with certain ethnicities being concentrated in certain areas of the city. In a more modern setting, this can be seen in inner cities areas considered to be black neighborhoods , due to the large african americanpopulation. This type of segregation was commonplace during the early to mid 20th century, as racial segregation was still fairly common in most major cities. It was discriminatory, and oftentimes, these people lived in poor conditions. Cramped and subpar housing was not uncommon here, and the term ghetto was usually applied to these areas. While the term was originally used for a neighborhood consisting of a single ethnic group, a more negative connotation was applied to the term when used to describe black neighborhoods. This can also be used as an example of residential segregation, in which people are divided up based on social class , or the amount of wealth they have. It applies to those living in crowded city areas, as opposed to more affluent families that have a higher ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For a while in the early 20 s and 30 s, the Jewish population was highly segregated, and even treated like animals in some cases. The German government at the time attempted to eradicate them under the rule of Adolf Hitler, marking one of the darkest eras in human history. These people were given poor living conditions, even outside the concentration camps. To this day, Jewish people still face discrimination due to their religion. In turn, this does not apply to a single group, many groups can still face segregation, despite their race, gender, religious affiliations, socio economic standing, and so

This author defines disasters in the following manner. Within a country a disaster occurs when its magnitude overwhelms the ability of the local resources to adequately respond the to victims. For international disasters, the magnitude must overwhelm the ability of the entire country to adequately respond to the victims. The Historical Context of The Bhagavad Gita and Its Relation to Indian Religious Doctrines The Bhagavad Gita is perhaps the most famous, and definitely the most widely read, ethical text of ancient India. As the battle is about to begin, Arjuna, himself an acclaimed warrior, wonders how he could kill his own blood relatives with whom he had grown up as a child. He puts the battle on hold and begins a conversation with Krishna, one of the ten but most important incarnations of the Universal Hindu God, Vishnu. The Bhagavad Gita begins here and ends with Krishna convincing Arjuna that in the grand scheme of things, he is only a pawn. The best he could do is do his duty and not question God s will. It was his duty to fight. In convincing Arjuna, the Lord Krishna provides a philosophy of life and restores Arjuna s nerve to begin the battle a battle that had been stalled because the protagonist had lost his nerve and needed time to reexamine his moral values. Dulce Et Decorum Est Essay Poetry as expressed by the Encyclopaedia Britannica is literature that evokes a concentrated imaginative awareness of experience or a specific emotional response through language chosen and arranged for its meaning, sound and rhythm. Poetry has a large impact on modern society as it can relate to current issues in the world and expose the truth of these problems, by conveying messages that no other form of literature can. Wilfred Owen uses this in his poem Dulce Et Decorum Est, through the use of different values, ideas, attitudes and various poetic techniques to protest against the mentality that perpetuates war. Throughout the beginning two stanza s the reader is often directly addressed, explaining the importance and ethical issues of the war. The speaker is amongst a group of weak soldiers that have been unexpectedly swallowed by poisonous gas and forced to hastily pull their gas masks to protect themselves from the deadly smog. As the speaker peers through the misty fog he watches as one of his companions, staggers weakly towards him. The man desperately gropes the air among them as he drops to the ground and submits to the gas, like somebody drowning. The third stanza changes the perspective to the speaker s dreams. Masculinity And Femininity Although complementary, the stories told about masculinity and femininity have very different impacts on those that feel pressured to conform to them, or are subject to experience their effects by others who do. A particularly insidious source of these stories comes from advertisements, as noted by Jean Kilbourne in Killing Us Softly 4 (2010). She quotes a statement by the editor in chief of an advertising magazine that only 8% of an ad s message is received by the conscious mind. The rest is worked and reworked deep within the recesses of the brain . The internalization of the messages from these advertisements unwittingly teaches men and women what is expected of them, and what is desirable. For women, it is taught that femininity requires flawless beauty, with unnaturally smooth skin (preferably light toned), shiny hair, dimple free curves cinched by a tiny waist, and a graceful demeanor. It is taught that women must pursue this image, whether it be through the purchase of cosmetics or surgical procedures, or diet products and exercise programs. These advertisements often depict women as having elegance and sensuality in their passiveness lounging around as they enjoy beauty products or indulgent foods, or draped upon powerful men. They must act as though they enjoy being objectified; welcoming men s advances, even in violent or dangerous situations. I played mostly as Folth in this review but I did try out Arca to see if the story changed but it seemed to stay the same besides the characters gender. Very early in the game you will be saved by a Cross or in other terms the character that will become your summon. The Cross you get depends on what item you give it as a reward for saving you early on in the game. I got a mechanical cross named Dyth. The story plays out visual novel style so be papered to read a lot, luckily the story here is well written. After meeting his or her cross the players character will go off to become a summoner of the Eucross. The Eucross is an order who keep peace among the different types of entity s from different dimensions who all live in the mostly peaceful city of Savorle. To advance the story along the player will travel a big map going to each area that is gold to talk to certain characters. After doing this you will come to an event where you will end up in a fight. Always save before a event or you may very well lose hours of play. My only problem with the story wasn t with the story its self but there are a few typos her and there. The battles are turn based meaning you get to move all of your characters and use actions and then end your turn and your enemies will do the same. At the Eastern Cincinnati Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio, the sport lacrosse qualifies as a club rather than a sport. The sport lacrosse should qualify as a sport because it would reduce costs, more players would join, it offers benefits, and people would consider lacrosse as a more serious sport. In the Eastern Cincinnati Conference, male and female high schoolers who have an interest in playing the sport lacrosse, have an expensive bill to pay. The cost to have a spot on the team alone estimates to about 300 dollars. The cost covers renting the field, transportation, and the use of the weight room. Due to the fact that lacrosse does not fall under the category of qualifying as a sport, players are charged more money to cover the fees that the school does not cover. • 29. Literary Criticism In Cardinal Richelieu Alfredo Camacho Dr. Fontes CLAS 5 3 October 2017 Book Review Poetry is a form of art that serves the purpose to express the writer s opinions, and also combat oppressive forces without the use of any physical force. These writers can relate to the expression by the playwright and novelist Edward Bulwer Lytton in the play Cardinal Richelieu, The pen is mightier than the sword (BBC); this expression serves as a metaphor in its own right as the nature describes the effect of words to provide a stronger impact on the intended audience than any kind of violence would. This term ties in perfectly with the ideas of Chicanx; the Chicanx perspective of life is oppression and the dangers of racial tensions and manners to dethrone those who impose that on others. They have long fought against the unfair forces that have come against them, and have been involved in many violent forms of protest. With Cesar Chavez becoming more invested in the peaceful form of protesting to gain trust and momentum in the campaigns they were in, more and more writers began to express their feelings and place their own two cents into the mixture of ideas. Often long stories are made in effort to express a personal form of how life is changing and growing fears are turning into, however some writers chose to use poetry as their version of a weapon against the oppressing forces. A poem is much shorter and does not provide the sufficient build up that can be placed into a Chicano novel, but the effect of

Although gentrification does have some pros, it also has some important cons; the first con is the hidden cost that comes with gentrification, the second con is the rents being raised which leads people to becoming homeless. This paper will show the history, effects, benefits, and solutions like putting limits to when and by how much the rent can be raised so that people don t become homeless. It also founded the idea that both public and private contracts are protected by the contract clause. The case concerned the question of whether Georgia s legislature had the authority to pass a law repealing a previous land grant made by the state. The Marshall Court would eventually find the 1796 act to be unconstitutional because the legislature was employing the judicial power of deciding a question of title.
