As a core value of this organization, continuous process improvement is a leadership responsibility at
every level in NAVAIR. That s why, in the CPI track, participants will work side by side with master
black belts on high profile projects our senior leaders choose and fully support. Along the way, you ll
earn your own black belt certification. For leading and managing complex teams, the NLDP s
Management Leadership track focuses on executive core qualifications (ECQs) and extended
rotational assignments, as well as Project Sponsor or Green Belt training.
Each program has both CPI and leadership training components. Participants are committed to
learning a broad range of leadership, management, and productivity improvement skills. Both tracks
share common Leadership Development courses. Both program components also require each person
to have a formal mentor to offer career advice and guidance along the way. This program does not
guarantee promotions, awards, or bonuses. (Commander Naval Air Systems Command, 2009) The
Management Leadership Track takes three to five years to complete (part time). The Continuous
Process Improvement (CPI) Leadership Track takes two to three years to complete (full time). The
Headquarters Command in Patuxent River, Maryland that the Orlando agency reports to, reviews all
the applications and makes a determination as to who is accepted into the program. The NLDP

America s Role In The Civil War
Throughout history wars have decided the fate of nations, and have come to define them for decades
afterwards. The United States has been involved in several wars throughout its relatively short history.
Some might say that the Revolutionary War is what defined this country, and they are, for the most
part, correct. However, the war that truly defined our country was the Civil War fought in the U.S
from 1861 1865. Of the hundreds of Civil War battles fought two stand out above the rest. One such
battle was fought in the northern region of the of the United States, known at the time as the Union.
That battle was the Battle of Gettysburg. The other battle was fought in the south, which was known at
that time as the Confederacy, and is called ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first of many factors is Robert E. Lee was facing forces that were almost double his own with
60,000 of his own troops facing 80,000 union troops(History.com Staff). Robert E. Lee decided to
split his own forces and attack Hooker s right flank. He gave Stonewall Jackson this important task.
According to History.com Early on May 2, Jackson and 30,000 men followed a circuitous route that
brought them against Hooker s weak right flank. Jackson s attack, begun in late afternoon, was a
brilliant tactical success that destroyed half of Hooker s line... (History.com Staff). This move by
Robert E. Lee led to his greatest victory of the Civil War, and gave him the strategic initiative, he
needed to invade the North (History.com Staff). This is why the Battle of Chancellorsville will go
down in History as one of the Confederacy s greatest

Othello the Outsider Essay
Othello the Outsider
Shakespeare s tragic hero, Othello, was a man whose gifts far outnumbered his weaknesses. On the
battlefield, he was accomplished; in his profession, he was highly ranked; and, in his life, he was
blissfully married. Despite these great advantages, however, Othello s destiny was ruin. Everything he
had so carefully made for himself would be destroyed by one flaw: his fear of remaining an outsider.
He feared this fate, yet he harped on it continuously, tearing himself between his identity as a
foreigner and his desire to live as a normal citizen. Even so far back as his first public speech,
perturbations caused by this internal unrest surfaced, and it was unrest that would ultimately lead to
his horrible and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If used too often, the approach turns from rhetoric into reality, and the speaker truly is set apart. This
method of appeal is used in many places by Othello, sometimes in regular conversation, which leads
to the feeling that he actually believes it. Later on, when Iago needs to prey upon a weakness in our
hero, this self doubt turns out to be just the key to instilling distrust and jealousy.
As this first portion of self effacement ends, the text sweeps into a section of grand language and
imagery. Othello becomes picturesque for a moment, stating, For since these arms of mine had seven
years pith / Till now some nine moons wasted, they have used / Their dearest action in the tented field;
/ And little of this great world can I speak / More than pertains to feats of broils and battle (page 19).
Every line in this passage contains a descriptor of either vast time or vast expanse. The images
produced by the use of words that describe large things deliver a spacious, worldly subtext meaning to
Othello s literal meaning. Words such as, seven years, moons, field, and great world create an
extensive, cosmopolitan view of his life that conflicts with the literal meaning of his speech, where he
is bluntly saying that he does not know about anything beyond battle.
The short, artistic detour of the middle of the speech is quickly focused back on topic, though, and it
only takes one line before

Intellectual And Developmental Disabilities
Equal opportunities to all people prevent discrimination and social stigma, especially to individuals
with disabilities. Creating a policy to safeguard the welfare of this extraordinary group of people is
vital in the promotion of their well being. For citizens with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
(IDD), socioeconomic and/or environmental variables are significant determinants of health. For the
purpose of this essay, the emphasis will be on the intellectual and developmental disabilities act and
addressing their need to sustain healthy and active lives by nourishing the basic necessity, the
physiologic needs of the person. According to Maslow s hierarchy of needs, the physiological basic
need of a person needs to be met first. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The purpose of the bill is to provide support to people with disabilities, in order for them to function
independently in the community and to preserve their rights as a citizen of this country, as well as
reducing the impact of poverty and aiding the procurement of various supports and services, including
vocational training, case management, and family support services (Keesler, 2015, p. 42).
In a socioeconomic standpoint, the passage of the bill encourages some financial relief for the families
with disabled members as they are vulnerable to various disparities. However, people with disabilities
still continue to experience an array of disadvantages, whether in economic, health, and social
outcomes, including food security (Brucker, 2016). In the ethical political perspective, the bill protects
the fundamental right of people with disability to be able to function and participate independently as
much as they can, as well as protecting their rights to participate in a research and be accurately
presented (Durham, Brolan, Mukandi, 2014). Encouraging to voice out the concerns of this group of
individuals will provide more advocacy, hence representing appropriately the aggregate in finding the

The Plague
Camus, Albert, and Stuart Gilbert. The Plague. New York: Vintage International, 1991. Print.
Written in 1948, Albert Camus The Plague is a study of human behaviour in a time of widespread
crisis caused by plague. Based on a modern city named Oran in Algeria, where plague which was
troubling the people for almost a year, rises suddenly killing people each day. The novel follows
Bernard Rieux, a doctor in the city of Oran, who becomes alarmed on noticing number of rats dying in
the streets before the plague started killing people. In The Plague, Camus presents the philosophical
concept of absurdism, where the absurdist view world as irrational and meaningless. Further, through
this beautifully plotted novel, Camus investigates human behaviour ... Show more content on

In The Plague, the bubonic plague is a symbol of many things, including the harsh, meaningless
universe, the human condition, or war, everything symbolizing suffering and death. People in Oran
deal with these absurdism in many ways. First, they try to ignore it on the expense of peace of mind,
and then they see it as an antagonism which separates them from loved ones. For example, Rieux
while chatting with Rambert states that, For nothing in the world is it worth turning one s back on
what one loves (210). Some see it as divine punishment or a means to profit, while others like father
Paneloux gives up hope and succumb to the plague. The young son of M. Othon, Jacques death is the
most profound example to suffering and death (241). It is so profound that, description of the death
leads Father Paneloux to doubt in his faith in god. Since the novel is about the plague, suffering and
death looms entire through the novel, and Camus has used it to remind us the potential threats of
human condition, and the need to confront

Hey! Read This
Technological advances have shaped this era into what it is today. From news articles to Facebook
posts, we are always reading throughout the day. In the article, Nation Shudders at Large Block of
Uninterrupted Text by The Onion in the book Everyone s an Author, raises questions how reading
habits have changed over the past couple generations. One has to wonder what text we take the time to
read and what text we do not take the time to read. Everyday advertisements, articles, and many other
texts pry for our attention. In this day and age, people want information right away. This article shows
how reading habits by Americans have shifted over the past few decades and generations.
The author claims that generation Z (people born from 1995 2010) is shaped by technology, and in
turn, we have become a lazy generation. The author argues that, Without an illustration, chart, or
embedded YouTube video to ease them in, millions were frozen in place, terrified by the sight of one
long, unbroken string of English words (881). Them refers to Americans. The author is claiming that
America is becoming a nation full of electronic devices and new technology. As a result, we
Americans expect videos on YouTube or simple illustrations to help us understand a concept we can
read in text. People do not like reading mounds and mounds of text. The author claims, As the public
grows more desperate, scholars are working

Features Needed to Make a Comedy Film
For hundreds of years Hollywood has been making countless of different genre movies. One main
genre that is very popular is comedy; these films have been entertaining audiences for decades with
over the top scenes, characters and funny moments. This essay will focus on what features are needed
to make a comedy movie by concentrating on the pro filmic codes, filmic or technical codes, character
types and networks, social themes and narrative patterns and stock scenes that go into creating these
films.
Comedy is a genre of film that uses humour as a driving force. Even though the comedy business may
take on some serious material they most likely end with a happy ending. Comedy films have the
tendency to become a mixed sub genre because humour can be incorporated into many other genres.
The different types of sub genres are slapstick, romantic comedy, screwball comedy, teen comedy,
family comedy and black comedy.
Slapstick is the recourse to humour involving exaggerated physical activity which exceeds the
boundaries of common sense. Slapstick comedy is a primarily physical kind of comedy based around
pratfalls and mild comic violence. For example, smacks in the head, pokes in the eyes, people falling
down, etc. It is probably most widely recognized in the comedy of The Three Stooges, The Pink
Panther and for a more contemporary example MTV s Jackass.
Romantic comedy films are light, humorous, and playful. The central plot is on romantic ideals such
as that true love and is

Balanced Diet
A balanced diet is one that provides a good intake of energy and nutrients for maintenance of the body
and for the good health. A diet can easily support normal body functioning, yet may not be a balanced
diet. An ideal human diet contains fat, protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, water and fibre all in
correct proportions. These proportions vary for each individual because everyone has different type of
metabolic style and levels of activity.
Malnutrition results from an unbalanced diet, this can be due to an excess of some dietary components
and lack of other components, not just a complete lack of food. Too much of one component can be as
much harm to the body as too little. Nowadays we have enough food to eat and keep our ... Show

Vitamin D is therefore essential in growing children s diets to enable the growth of strong bones.
Without adequate amounts of vitamin D children can develop rickets, which is the deformation of the
legs caused when they lack calcium to strengthen the bones. In adults a lack of vitamin D in the diet
can lead to osteomalacia, a progressive softening of the bones which can make them highly
susceptible to fracture.
Vitamin D is made by the body when exposed to sunlight and is stored in the muscles, however, if the
skin is rarely exposed to the sunlight or is dark little vitamin D is produced. Foods such as eggs and
oily fish are all rich in vitamin D.
Vitamin K, phylloquinone, is found in dark green leafy vegetables such as spinach and kale. It is a fat
soluble vitamin which is involved in the clotting process of blood. In the intestines bacteria synthesise
a number of important clotting factors which need vitamin K. Without vitamin K cuts can fail to heal
and internal bleeding can occur.
Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin, known chemically as ascorbic acid. It is found in citrus fruits
such as oranges and lemons, and also in potatoes and tomatoes. The main function of vitamin C is the
formation of connective tissues such as collagen. It is also known to be an antioxidant which helps to
remove toxins from the body and aids the

Canadian Pacific Railway History
The Railways are very important part of Canada s history and a part of transportation. For more than a
century, CP rail was called the Canadian Pacific Railway, and it remains today the railroad that helped
to settle the Canadian West in the Second half of the last Century ( Thomas York 129). The CP was not
only built to provide transportation, but it was also built to get British Columbia united with Canada. It
also helped many Chinese immigrants to come to Canada and had a strong impact on the political and
economic connection between west to east of Canada. It is beyond doubt that the Canadian Pacific
Railway was really the one that had Canada united as a country.

Five thousand labourers were sent from China by ship during these contracts and over seven thousand
were employed from California. Between 1881 and 1884 there were 17000 Chinese labourers working
on Canadian Pacific Railway. Chinese workers got paid $1.00 a day, and from this $1.00 the workers
had to still pay for their food and their camping and cooking gear, [while] white workers did not have
to pay for these things even though they were paid more money $1.50 $2.50 per day (Library and
Archives Canada). The Chinese workers had the most dangerous jobs from others, as they had to
break off granite and planted explosives that were used to blow up tunnels. While working on the
railway, many died due to accidents, fires and dynamite blasts. The Chinese workers lived in tents, but
these tents were unsafe as they did not provide protection from falling rocks. When the Canadian
Pacific Railway completed in 1885, the Chinese workers needed to find new jobs. Several workers
went back to China, while some found a new job as gardeners, cooks and servants. The Chinese
moved to east of Canada and settled there, opening restaurants and laundries. When the railway
finished, the government passed The Chinese Immigration Act of 1885 charging a

Northern And Southern Colonies Similarities
The Northern and Southern colonies had many differences and similarities in the way the world was
maintained and controlled. There are comparisons and contrast that can be discovered through
political, social, and economical. There regions developed an identity that would affect the American
economy. The South it meant agricultural production and the North it meant a collection in resources
for the purpose of industrial manufacturing.
Politically, North and South had differences on who had the bigger voice in society. The North had
church memberships in which to be accepted into the colony. The church controlled the laws and the
most acknowledgment in the colony. In the South, instead of church members being bosses the land
owners were the dominant parties. The landowners were the wealthiest and had control over the laws.
Even though they had rulers for the society both the north and south had governments which
controlled and ruled. The North and South had legislatures that had the power to create, amend, and
ratify the laws. Both side of the government was politically similar even though they had opposite
sides.
On the economic side both colonies had differences than similarities. The North had small farms while
the South had larger farms which were called plantations. The main trade in the North was lumber.
The South had less raw materials than the North and they mostly traded cotton. The cotton crop was
very important to the Southern Colonies while the North was

The Debate Over Time To Reduce The Budget Deficit
We have a long story of debt, but it seems no one has been able to make it better. If the debt is
increasing over time, the government has a budget deficit. Charles C. Turner, et al, define deficit as
spending that exceed revenue (482). In history, basic deficit or debt was usually from over spending
from a war and economic issues like a recession or depression. Then the government had a budget
deficit almost every year between 1970 and 1997, but tax cut and more spending on defense by
President Reagan in 1981 added more growth to the deficit. Also, another cause is from reducing of
productivity seem in the GDP and lower tax rate (tax cut) (483). Even when the government had some
budget surplus, still, it could not cover the debt. In 2012, the debt grew over $ 16 trillion, (482 483)
and has increased more in recent year plus 2.9 percent of budget deficit in 2016 (The 2016 Long Term
Budget Outlook, 2). To manage the economic depression, sometime policymakers cut the taxes and
increase spending again by putting more money into private sectors (Turner, 483); therefore,
government goes further with the budget unbalancing. There are several reasons that lower tax rate
will not reduce the budget deficit closer to a balance.
First, lower tax rate will lower revenues. Overall tax cuts for a new coming year will bring different
amounts of revenue from the previous year if the tax rate falls below a previous percentage. For
example, Ramesh Ponnuru said that Mr. Trump s plan will

President Executive Officer Director Chief Officer Essay
Overview
After thirty years at the helm of Fortuga Artisans, Inc., a home décor manufacturing company,
founded Peter Fortuga in 2011 announced his retirement to his staff. Expeditiously, the search for a
replacement commenced and the board of directors found Doug Jeffers, a well known interior
designer, to replace Fortuga as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). A charismatic, hard working, and well
connected individual, Jeffers appeared qualified through his innovative approach to lead the company
to new heights.
Analysis of Leadership Strategies
Due to his past success, one could presume Jeffers management approach would be inspirational, and
his community profile renders him as an authentic and charismatic leader. In fact, he degraded
employees, ignored other s sentiments and notions, determined strategic decisions unaided,
disregarded company policies, and discounted the need for work and life balance. As a result, Jeffers
personified the negative characteristics of charismatic leaders, and he is the antithesis of the positive
attributes. However, the public s perception of Jeffers did not translate over to the team at Fortuga. In
fact, he was distal to feedback and disregarded company policies these traits embody a charismatic
leader (Spahr, 2016). If Jeffers were a charismatic leader, he would be an effective communicator,
build trust, and influence those around him to become devout followers (Riggio, 2012). In this case,

What legacy am I leaving my family, as husband, father, or just in general a human being? I am not
trying to shoulder the world, nope just be what God called me to be: Holy! A Man Is an Image Bearer
of God, (Kendrick, 2011, pg. 66) and God is Holy, so we must be Holy without excuse. I am not to
bring glory to myself but to the creator of life.
Jesus said in Matthew 23:11, But, he that is greatest among you shall be your servant! This sentence
starts with a conjunction in a simple sentence. Don t miss the real reason he made this statement. It s
really easy to understand, but the statement is so complex, you must ask yourself these questions. Who
is serving whom? What order does one serve and in what manner is one serving? Is there service for
fear of retribution, or out of love? Is remuneration or reciprocity the reason for service or just
because?
Is this service about self or about the other person seeing God being glorified through service? This
question is the reason Cain was not able, even though he wanted to be Abel. His heart was not pure in

Our Road To The Winter Swot Analysis
Today we make our way to the coast at Saltburn. The route visits Captain Cook s Monument on Easby
Moor and Roseberry Topping Yorkshire s Matterhorn . The trail continues into Guisborough Woods,
where we leave the moors behind. At Highcliffe Nab there are spectacular views over Guisborough
and, on a clear day, the North Sea is visible. From Kildale our route crosses the river Leven and then
follows the road to Bankside Farm. The farmhouse building reflects the style of a Danish longhouse.
Traditionally, longhouses were built length
wise down the slope of a hill; they had a living area, out

buildings, cowshed and pigsty in line. The farmer and his family lived at the higher end of the
building; their livestock occupied the lower levels, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Standing at 1049 feet (320m) high, it may not be the largest mountain in the country, although many
people revere it as the Yorkshire Matterhorn due to its distinctive profile. Furthermore, Alan Hinkes,
the first British mountaineer to climb all fourteen of the world s highest mountains, says it s his
favourite hill and he knows a thing or two about dramatic peaks! The unique shape was the result of a
rock fall in 1912 when heavy rain weakened old mine workings and caused the west face to collapse.
Apparently the hill derives its name from Outhenesberg , old Norse for Odin s rock or crag , over time
the name became corrupted to Ouseberry . The final change occurred, so they say by the addition of
the initial R from the former village name Newton under Ouseberry, by alliteration of the r in under .
The second element, Topping, comes from the old Norse word toppen , which translates to hill . After
returning from the Topping, the route continues over Hutton Moor to Highcliff Wood where we bid
farewell to the heather covered moors and begin a 2½ mile (4km) descent to Slapewath. The
viewpoint at Highcliff Nab looks out across Guisborough and the Tees Valley towards Redcar and the
North Sea coastline. Although Slapewath is a peaceful hamlet nowadays, substantial evidence of its
former industrial heritage surrounds the area. There were forty collieries, pits and ironstone mines
within five miles of the village. The Slapewath Mine opened in 1864, and one

Although the promotional events succeeded, they continued to look for more. This year Pirate
Concessions wanted to try another promotional event, they went for something that they call the meal

of their entrees are two dollars to two fifty, with chips being one dollar, and a drink being one fifty,
some meals without the meal deal turn out to be five dollars. With the meal deal the customer can save
from fifty cents which the employees strongly encourage them to use in the candy department, all the
way to a dollar which again employees push the candy or a popcorn to finish off their meal. After a
few games management was going to get rid of the meal deal and try some other type of promotional

event into something they use every game. Now whenever a customer orders an entree employees

Songs In James And The Giant Peach By Roald Dahl
How many books you ve read have songs in them? A few books, such as James and the Giant Peach
by Roald Dahl actually have multiple songs. In this essay, I will analyze the last song in the book. I
will discuss each of the verses one by one. The first verse is about the Centipede. James actually
describes him as sweet and gentle . This seems bizarre because Centipede has been shown to be a bit
rough and even mean at times. Maybe this is just to show how James has grown closer to him that he
actually sees him as how he describes. Alternatively, it further shows how horrible Aunt Sponge and
Spiker were to him that the Centipede is actually nice compared to them. Him saying how he would
make a good babysitter extends this even more. The second ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

She is an especially interesting one because, as she herself says, spiders aren t loved by people, which
has caused her to lose two relatives before. This time, James doesn t use anything loved about her
species to convince them, he tries to convince them making them sympathize with her ( I must
NEVER kill a spider, I must only help and guide her... ) He succeeds and the firemen and policemen
are convinced. The Ladybird s the sixth one. She has been depicted in the book as kind and gentle, and
James lets the men know about this. Her kindness must have really made James like her, since he calls
her his greatest comfort since this trip began . Ladybirds are also loved, as it says in the book,
apparently so much that the firemen actually started dancing to the song. This comes back at the end,
where she actually marries the head of the fire department. Last but not least, the Silkworm, who had a
less prominent but still important role to the story. He mostly talks about the silk she makes and
compares it to other places that make good silk. The things he says are true because her silk has
actually been established to be strong. Strong enough to tie to 502 seagulls while carrying a huge,
heavy peach without breaking. Page 108 indicates that they are shiny and beautiful too. ( ...and the

Research Paper On Teenage Wasteland
When raising a child parents should consider what type of parent they are going to be to their children.
They should decide on which approaches they are going to make in regards to how their child is going
to act. There is no guarantee to know how a child is going to behave as they grow older; it is important
that parents take the steps necessary to ensure that they can help and try to avoid losing their
relationship with their children. A parent s role in raising their children is appreciation,
encouragement, guidance, trust, and acceptance. It is not easy to raise a child, and not all kids are
going to turn out the way their parents expect them to. So, it is up to the parent to set a foundation so
that their children can feel as if their parents will make efforts to understand the trials and tribulations
that they face.
One of the many roles of parents is making sure that their kids know that they are accepting their child

The Gettysburg Address
The Impact of the Gettysburg Address on the United States
The speech we now know as the Gettysburg Address was given to consecrate the fallen soldiers in the
bloodiest battle of the Civil War. It is known as one of the most influential speeches ever and has been
recognized in hindsight as pivotal in the outcome of the war. Its brevity and poetry emphasized
America s original dream, the importance of equality, and the opportunity for a new birth of freedom,
a message which continues to be of relevance today.
The Gettysburg Address was powerful because each word was thought out and was meaningful to
Lincoln. It was on November 19, 1863, when Lincoln delivered the speech after the battle of
Gettysburg. The Battle of Gettysburg was the most demoralizing battle of the Civil war between the
Union and the Confederacy, with over 50,000 casualties in just three days. Lincoln spoke at the
ceremonies honoring the brave Union soldiers after Edward Everett, a famous orator who spoke for
two hours. In contrast Lincoln captivated his crowd for just over two minutes with a mere 272 words.
He was concise and to the point while also poetic. Everett is known to have sent Lincoln a letter after
the ceremony that said; I should be glad, if I could flatter myself that I came as near to the central idea
of the occasion, in two hours, as you did in two minutes. Lincoln repeated words that he wanted to
emphasize; we, dedicated, and nation. He stressed these words to make his message clearer.

A Short Note On The De Los Datos
recopilada.

Antigone, The Tragic Hero
Antigone is the tragic hero because she had goodness in her heart, nobility as a princess, a fatal flaw in
her personality, and a status downfall when she was put inside the cave. All of these descriptions fit
Aristotle s description of what a tragic hero is. Aristotle was a philosopher. He was passionate about
his own definition and characteristics of how a story s tragic hero should be portrayed. In the time he
was alive, men were shown to be the superior other. Women stayed inside while they watched the
children and cooked a nice meal for their family. Men worked to earn money for their family. So, it s
safe to say that men had more recognition. More fame . Although most people believed that, in this
arbitrary time, there were others who disagreed with these unfair decisions.
In 367 BC, Aristotle attended Plato s Academy. Plato was his professor in his twenty years of
attending that school. According to Classics Network, Plato was known as one of the many people

Challenges and Implementation of the system One of the challenges of health information exchange is
privacy and security. Even though having electronic health information exchange reduces a lot of
privacy and security issues, it raises new issues as well. A breach that formerly affected a single paper
record now can expose an entire database of patient records. At the same time, health information
exchange presents powerful new ways to improve the privacy and security of patients data, including
encryption, authentication and authorization controls, and electronic audit trails. Two of the biggest
challenges we ve encountered are patient matching/master patient index synchronization issues and
the vendors variable use of interoperability standards. The biggest issues we ve experienced, so far are
relate to the MPI synchronization of patients across all the entities. Public HIEs, as well as the private
HIE vendors, should focus on this challenge. Technically, interoperable platforms, EHR s, are often
hindered by the inability to determine an exact patient match, because the eMPI solutions aren t robust
enough. This also potentially creates data integrity and patient safety issues, if the clinical data goes
across multiple records. There also some struggles with the variable use of the interoperability
standards between the EHR vendors. One of

Louis Armstrong Concert Analysis
Watching Louis Armstrong s live performance in Berlin during the year 1965 was a pleasure,
especially because I am a great fan of his music. Throughout the concert in Berlin, Armstrong and his
chamber orchestra played 13 different pieces. With the exception of Jewel Woods entrance on vocals
for two songs, the makeup of the chamber orchestra did not change throughout the concert. As a
result, the cello, clarinet, drums, piano, trombone, and trumpet remained vital parts of each song
throughout the concert.
Armstrong and his All Stars quickly began their first song, Sleepy Time Down South, before formally
introducing themselves. This song allowed the audience to prepare for the concert as the tempo was
consistently adagio. The song also gave each instrument in the chamber orchestra the opportunity to
each warm up with a song that was completely dolce and legato in fashion.
Next, the chamber orchestra quickly transitioned to a vivace song that was performed con fuoco and
was named Indiana. In this song, every instrument was given an uptempo solo to showcase the
performer s immense talent. The dynamic throughout was forte in fashion and did not vary from
beginning to end.
After Indiana was performed, the chamber orchestra transitioned to a more dolce and pesante Black
and Blue. Throughout this song, each performer played softly, keeping the dynamic at a piano level
until Armstrong s trumpet began to raise the dynamic to a more mezzo piano level. The song s

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy
History The roots of the Cognitive Behavioral Theory lie in the broadening of behavior therapy and
has undoubtedly produced more empirical research than any other model of psychotherapy (Datillio,

guides the development and the preservation of their emotional and behavioral responses to situations

The Absence Of Effective Birth Control Essay
INTRODUCTON
The absence of effective birth control led women to resort to abortion between 1900 and 1940. Up
until the arrival of the contraceptive pill in the early 1960 s, New Zealand, predominantly women, but
also men struggled to acquire effective and reliable birth control. There were many reasons why birth
control was limited and frowned upon in New Zealand for over half of the twentieth century,
including, religion, the social expectation of women, and the desire for a large population in New
Zealand. Many women advocated for the introduction of an effective form of birth control in New
Zealand for a number of years before becoming successful in 1961. The women s main argument
during their fight for contraception availability in New Zealand, was that abortion would be rare if the
introduction of a reliable contraceptive method were to happen. In this essay, I will argue that the
absence of effective birth control led women to resort to abortion between 1900 and 1940 by first
analysing the attitudes of society during this era, particularly towards women and contraception, I will
then examine the methods women were resorting to in order to prevent pregnancy, finally, I will
discuss the regular occurrence of abortions during the first half of the twentieth century and how birth
control lays a factor in this. Concluding with, the absence of effective birth control did in fact lead
women to resort to abortion from 1900 to 1940.

The first premise essentially accuses the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) to have
grossly inflated the number of Arabs living in Judea and Samaria. The strategic inflation of population
is comparable to the PA Ministry of Health that had strategically inflated causality rates in the past

as to demonstrate to Israeli policy makers that the annexation of Judea and Samaria would destroy the
sensitive Jewish majority of the State of Israel. According to the research conducted by the American
Israeli group, the PCBS had inflated the Arab population of Judea and Samaria to 2.42 million. In
contrast, the AIDRG concluded that only 1.41 million Arabs lived in Judea and Samaria. Here, Glick
argues that the fact that 1.01 million fewer Arabs lived in Judea and Samaria means that Israeli
annexation would not mean the end of the demographic integrity of the Jewish State. If the 1.41

different clustering algorithm techniques in data mining. Clustering techniques is broadly used in
many applications such as pattern recognition, market research, image processing and data analysis.
Cluster Analysis is an excellent data mining tool for a large and multivariate database. A cluster of
data objects can be treated as one group. In clustering analysis our object is first partition the set of
data into similar data groups and then assigns labels to those groups. Clustering is a suitable example
of unsupervised classification. Keywords Data Mining; Clustering algorithms; Techniques; (Partition,

I. INTRODUCTION
Data mining techniques are basically categorised into two major groups as Supervised learning and
Unsupervised learning. Clustering is a process of grouping the similar data sets into groups. These
groups should have two properties like dissimilarity between the groups and similarity within the
group. Clustering is covered in the unsupervised learning category. There are no predefined class label

The Importance Of Animal Experimentation
Throughout the years research centers have been using animals as a base of study. They have
genetically modified conditions for animals in order to gain knowledge for treatments or human
diseases. Animal experimentation is the use of non human animals in experiments that are controlled
by variables that can affect the animals biologically. The animals are used to test makeup products,
drug products, or curiosity driven experimentation. These are only a couple of areas where animals are
used for the personal gain of another species. Throughout the years more people have argued about
animal experimentation being ethical. The reason why it has become such a big issue is because of
how social media has grown throughout the years now people can search what really happens to
animals who are experimented on.The real question is whether animal experimentation is necessary.
Depending on people s beliefs some may say that it is necessary for the advancement of the human
race, but others may say it is not necessary need because of other factors that contribute into it and for
me personally animal experimentation is not a necessary option we have to take because of the endless
possibilities of other things. , Animal experimentation is not necessary because of how expensive it

  • 4. America s Role In The Civil War Throughout history wars have decided the fate of nations, and have come to define them for decades afterwards. The United States has been involved in several wars throughout its relatively short history. Some might say that the Revolutionary War is what defined this country, and they are, for the most part, correct. However, the war that truly defined our country was the Civil War fought in the U.S from 1861 1865. Of the hundreds of Civil War battles fought two stand out above the rest. One such battle was fought in the northern region of the of the United States, known at the time as the Union. That battle was the Battle of Gettysburg. • 5. Othello the Outsider Essay Othello the Outsider Shakespeare s tragic hero, Othello, was a man whose gifts far outnumbered his weaknesses. On the battlefield, he was accomplished; in his profession, he was highly ranked; and, in his life, he was blissfully married. Despite these great advantages, however, Othello s destiny was ruin. Everything he had so carefully made for himself would be destroyed by one flaw: his fear of remaining an outsider. He feared this fate, yet he harped on it continuously, tearing himself between his identity as a foreigner and his desire to live as a normal citizen. Even so far back as his first public speech, perturbations caused by this internal unrest surfaced, and it was unrest that would ultimately lead to his horrible and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If used too often, the approach turns from rhetoric into reality, and the speaker truly is set apart. This method of appeal is used in many places by Othello, sometimes in regular conversation, which leads to the feeling that he actually believes it. Later on, when Iago needs to prey upon a weakness in our hero, this self doubt turns out to be just the key to instilling distrust and jealousy. As this first portion of self effacement ends, the text sweeps into a section of grand language and imagery. Othello becomes picturesque for a moment, stating, For since these arms of mine had seven years pith / Till now some nine moons wasted, they have used / Their dearest action in the tented field; / And little of this great world can I speak / More than pertains to feats of broils and battle (page 19). Every line in this passage contains a descriptor of either vast time or vast expanse. The images produced by the use of words that describe large things deliver a spacious, worldly subtext meaning to Othello s literal meaning. Words such as, seven years, moons, field, and great world create an extensive, cosmopolitan view of his life that conflicts with the literal meaning of his speech, where he is bluntly saying that he does not know about anything beyond battle. The short, artistic detour of the middle of the speech is quickly focused back on topic, though, and it only takes one line before ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For example, Rieux while chatting with Rambert states that, For nothing in the world is it worth turning one s back on what one loves (210). One main genre that is very popular is comedy; these films have been entertaining audiences for decades with over the top scenes, characters and funny moments. This essay will focus on what features are needed to make a comedy movie by concentrating on the pro filmic codes, filmic or technical codes, character types and networks, social themes and narrative patterns and stock scenes that go into creating these films. Comedy is a genre of film that uses humour as a driving force. Even though the comedy business may take on some serious material they most likely end with a happy ending. Comedy films have the tendency to become a mixed sub genre because humour can be incorporated into many other genres. The different types of sub genres are slapstick, romantic comedy, screwball comedy, teen comedy, family comedy and black comedy. Slapstick is the recourse to humour involving exaggerated physical activity which exceeds the boundaries of common sense. Slapstick comedy is a primarily physical kind of comedy based around pratfalls and mild comic violence. For example, smacks in the head, pokes in the eyes, people falling down, etc. It is probably most widely recognized in the comedy of The Three Stooges, The Pink Panther and for a more contemporary example MTV s Jackass. Romantic comedy films are light, humorous, and playful. The central plot is on romantic ideals such as that true love and is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 17. The Debate Over Time To Reduce The Budget Deficit We have a long story of debt, but it seems no one has been able to make it better. If the debt is increasing over time, the government has a budget deficit. Charles C. Turner, et al, define deficit as spending that exceed revenue (482). In history, basic deficit or debt was usually from over spending from a war and economic issues like a recession or depression. Then the government had a budget deficit almost every year between 1970 and 1997, but tax cut and more spending on defense by President Reagan in 1981 added more growth to the deficit. Also, another cause is from reducing of productivity seem in the GDP and lower tax rate (tax cut) (483). Even when the government had some budget surplus, still, it could not cover the debt. In 2012, the debt grew over $ 16 trillion, (482 483) and has increased more in recent year plus 2.9 percent of budget deficit in 2016 (The 2016 Long Term Budget Outlook, 2). To manage the economic depression, sometime policymakers cut the taxes and increase spending again by putting more money into private sectors (Turner, 483); therefore, government goes further with the budget unbalancing. There are several reasons that lower tax rate will not reduce the budget deficit closer to a balance. First, lower tax rate will lower revenues. Overall tax cuts for a new coming year will bring different amounts of revenue from the previous year if the tax rate falls below a previous percentage. The unique shape was the result of a rock fall in 1912 when heavy rain weakened old mine workings and caused the west face to collapse. Apparently the hill derives its name from Outhenesberg , old Norse for Odin s rock or crag , over time the name became corrupted to Ouseberry . • 25. Songs In James And The Giant Peach By Roald Dahl How many books you ve read have songs in them? A few books, such as James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl actually have multiple songs. In this essay, I will analyze the last song in the book. I will discuss each of the verses one by one. The first verse is about the Centipede. James actually describes him as sweet and gentle . This seems bizarre because Centipede has been shown to be a bit rough and even mean at times. Maybe this is just to show how James has grown closer to him that he actually sees him as how he describes. Alternatively, it further shows how horrible Aunt Sponge and Spiker were to him that the Centipede is actually nice compared to them. Him saying how he would make a good babysitter extends this even more. The second ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This time, James doesn t use anything loved about her species to convince them, he tries to convince them making them sympathize with her ( I must NEVER kill a spider, I must only help and guide her... ) He succeeds and the firemen and policemen are convinced. The Ladybird s the sixth one. She has been depicted in the book as kind and gentle, and James lets the men know about this. Her kindness must have really made James like her, since he calls her his greatest comfort since this trip began . Ladybirds are also loved, as it says in the book, apparently so much that the firemen actually started dancing to the song. This comes back at the end, where she actually marries the head of the fire department. Last but not least, the Silkworm, who had a less prominent but still important role to the story. He mostly talks about the silk she makes and compares it to other places that make good silk. The things he says are true because her silk has actually been established to be strong. • 27. The Gettysburg Address The Impact of the Gettysburg Address on the United States The speech we now know as the Gettysburg Address was given to consecrate the fallen soldiers in the bloodiest battle of the Civil War. It is known as one of the most influential speeches ever and has been recognized in hindsight as pivotal in the outcome of the war. Its brevity and poetry emphasized America s original dream, the importance of equality, and the opportunity for a new birth of freedom, a message which continues to be of relevance today. The Gettysburg Address was powerful because each word was thought out and was meaningful to Lincoln. It was on November 19, 1863, when Lincoln delivered the speech after the battle of Gettysburg. The Battle of Gettysburg was the most demoralizing battle of the Civil war between the Union and the Confederacy, with over 50,000 casualties in just three days. Lincoln spoke at the ceremonies honoring the brave Union soldiers after Edward Everett, a famous orator who spoke for two hours. In contrast Lincoln captivated his crowd for just over two minutes with a mere 272 words. He was concise and to the point while also poetic. Everett is known to have sent Lincoln a letter after the ceremony that said; I should be glad, if I could flatter myself that I came as near to the central idea of the occasion, in two hours, as you did in two minutes. Lincoln repeated words that he wanted to emphasize; we, dedicated, and nation. He stressed these words to make his message clearer. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

At the same time, health information exchange presents powerful new ways to improve the privacy and security of patients data, including encryption, authentication and authorization controls, and electronic audit trails. Two of the biggest challenges we ve encountered are patient matching/master patient index synchronization issues and the vendors variable use of interoperability standards. The biggest issues we ve experienced, so far are relate to the MPI synchronization of patients across all the entities. Technically, interoperable platforms, EHR s, are often hindered by the inability to determine an exact patient match, because the eMPI solutions aren t robust enough. Throughout the concert in Berlin, Armstrong and his chamber orchestra played 13 different pieces. With the exception of Jewel Woods entrance on vocals for two songs, the makeup of the chamber orchestra did not change throughout the concert. As a result, the cello, clarinet, drums, piano, trombone, and trumpet remained vital parts of each song throughout the concert. Armstrong and his All Stars quickly began their first song, Sleepy Time Down South, before formally introducing themselves. This song allowed the audience to prepare for the concert as the tempo was consistently adagio. The song also gave each instrument in the chamber orchestra the opportunity to each warm up with a song that was completely dolce and legato in fashion. Next, the chamber orchestra quickly transitioned to a vivace song that was performed con fuoco and was named Indiana. In this song, every instrument was given an uptempo solo to showcase the performer s immense talent. The dynamic throughout was forte in fashion and did not vary from beginning to end. After Indiana was performed, the chamber orchestra transitioned to a more dolce and pesante Black and Blue. Throughout this song, each performer played softly, keeping the dynamic at a piano level until Armstrong s trumpet began to raise the dynamic to a more mezzo piano level. The song s ... Up until the arrival of the contraceptive pill in the early 1960 s, New Zealand, predominantly women, but also men struggled to acquire effective and reliable birth control. There were many reasons why birth control was limited and frowned upon in New Zealand for over half of the twentieth century, including, religion, the social expectation of women, and the desire for a large population in New Zealand. Many women advocated for the introduction of an effective form of birth control in New Zealand for a number of years before becoming successful in 1961. The women s main argument during their fight for contraception availability in New Zealand, was that abortion would be rare if the introduction of a reliable contraceptive method were to happen. In this essay, I will argue that the absence of effective birth control led women to resort to abortion between 1900 and 1940 by first analysing the attitudes of society during this era, particularly towards women and contraception, I will then examine the methods women were resorting to in order to prevent pregnancy, finally, I will discuss the regular occurrence of abortions during the first half of the twentieth century and how birth control lays a factor in this.
