This document discusses a newly proposed hash-based block matching algorithm for motion estimation in video coding, which outperforms traditional methods in terms of peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) and compression time. The algorithm employs a hash function to efficiently select candidate blocks based on similarity, thereby reducing computational complexity compared to full search methods. Experimental results indicate improved coding efficiency and reduced processing time, highlighting the relevance of fast motion estimation techniques in real-time video applications.
