Towards a-Zero-interest Economy
Is the world heading towards an unprecedented zero-interest rate economy? In a globalized world like today’s, where economies are extremely interdependent,
relative prices are one of the most important key driver for increasing exports. An
appreciation of the domestic currency could scuttle export and bring the fragile economy
back to recession. This would happen if all the other countries decide to keep interest
rates steady. Is it rational to increase rates when all the others keep them steady? The
answer is clearly no. Following Dr. Keith Weiner’s theory of interest and price2
, a zero interest rate economy
can be regarded as a singularity point in Astrophysics. Once the interest rate falls to a
certain point known as “event horizon”, the theory says, then it cannot escape and rise.
Once that point is reached it becomes evident that (sovereign and private) debts cannot
be paid off, although the truth is that it was impossible to pay off them since the very
moment they were issued.

The final project for this course is the creation of a statistical analysis report.
Each day, operations management professionals are faced with multiple decisions affecting various aspects of the operation. The ability to use data to drive

manager; working in this field is exciting and rewarding.

Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

- Margins : generally a margin of 1 inch should be kept on the left side, right side, top and bottom. A margin of 2.5 inch need to be kept for printing on letter head. Fonts and sizes : The title of the document to be in bold ‘Arial’ font and size ‘12’ (center aligned). The rest of the document is to be in ‘Arial’ font and size ‘11’. However lesser font sizes (i.e. font size < 11) may be used for tables depending upon the size of the table, subject to clear readability of the text. Justification : All paragraph settings to be in ‘Justify’ mode. However, for text in tables, one may ‘left align’ the text. Page Numbering : All pages to be numbered in the ‘x of y’ format in the footer. The same to be left aligned. Line and paragraph spacing : To ensure proper line spacing (at least 14 point) and paragraph spacing. Date Format : Ensure that the date is put on all the documents, wherever relevant. The format of the same should be ‘September 30, 2009. This date format should be used for all the dates appearing in the document. Small sentences : Sentences running in to more than 24 words (about 2 lines for normal font size) to be avoided. Spell and grammar check : All report to undergo the spell and grammar check function and the errors indicated to be resolved. Arithmetical accuracy : Arithmetical accuracy to be cross-checked wherever numerical calculations are involved. All sentences should be started with ‘Capital Letter’ however word with capital letter should not be appearing in the later part of sentences. Commas, full stops, semi columns etc should be used judiciously.
