If I Was The President Essay
Writing an essay on the topic "If I Was The President" may present both exciting and challenging
aspects. On one hand, the freedom to envision and articulate one's ideal presidential role allows
for creativity and expression of personal opinions. However, this freedom also comes with the
responsibility of constructing a well-reasoned, coherent argument that addresses the complexities
of the role.
Firstly, navigating the vast landscape of presidential responsibilities, from domestic policies to
international relations, demands a comprehensive understanding of political systems, historical
contexts, and the multifaceted challenges faced by leaders. Crafting a thoughtful essay requires
thorough research to substantiate claims and proposals.
Secondly, maintaining a balance between idealism and pragmatism is crucial. While it's tempting
to present a utopian vision, acknowledging the practical limitations, political realities, and
potential consequences of proposed policies is essential for a nuanced and credible argument.
Additionally, articulating one's ideas in a clear and engaging manner is paramount. Striking the
right tone and employing persuasive techniques to captivate the reader's attention while
delivering a compelling message can be a demanding task.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the hypothetical scenario of being the president involves a
delicate balance of creativity, research, and persuasive communication. Navigating the intricacies
of the topic demands a thoughtful approach to ensure the essay is both imaginative and
grounded in a realistic understanding of political dynamics.

The Shampoo to Beat All Shampoos
Mickel Angelo A. Martinez EN 11 R 49 On the 1st of July 2007, Unilever launched
its new shampoo brand: Clear Anti Dandruff Shampoo. It claims to rid the hair of
men and women alike of all dandruff, and nourish the scalp at the same time. Once it
was launched, there was immediately alot of buzz over the product. Maybe it was
because the product contained Zinc Vitanol, an ingredient not used in any other anti
dandruff shampoo. Or maybe it was just because it was marketed well, having high
quality television commercials and the international pop star, Rain, as its endorser.
But nevertheless, after a few months the brand became incredibly popular, having
elite Filipino celebrities such as Piolo Pascual, Bea Alonzo, and John Lloyd Cruz in its

In addition, the commercial mentions that the group is composed of ten million
people, which would be very appealing to consumers because if that much people
are using the product, then it must be effective and good. And in the same
commercial they have three elite Filipino celebrities to further persuade consumers
into buying the product. This part would be similar to the first commercial with
Rain, but more appealing to the Filipino market, basically because the endorsers in
these commercials are Filipino celebrities. Another important factor seen in every
Clear advertisement is the use of the color black. Their campaign has always
emphasized that the color black meant freedom from dandruff. If you think about it,
the color black for Clear can symbolize shiny black hair, or confidence; because
wearing black is often avoided by those who suffer from dandruff. And this was
creative; it makes the advertisements unique and eye catching because they re the
only advertisements wherein the people, the background, and pretty much everything
is colored black. Black is mysterious, classy, and elegant, and it makes it seem as
though the Clear commercials were perfume commercials, which makes them unique.
It makes consumers feel as though they re buying a premium product, even though
the product is actually just about 10 pesos more expensive than regular anti dandruff
shampoos. When we talk
A Summary Of The Apache Girl s Rite Of Passage
Despite the different time period there are still things that stay the same, whether it
s technology, education, or culture bits and pieces of history are still here in the
modern world. Like, in the Medicine Bag, even though the tradition was generations
old it was still passed down to the males in the family. Or in the video Apache Girl s
Rite of Passage, the ritualwas centuries old and yet it was still used today in the
reservation as the transformation from adolescence to adulthood. Incas ritual had
evolved over time based on something that had changed. In this essay, all the
similarities and differences will be identified in all three rites of passage. This essay
also includes the advantages and disadvantages of text versus video.
There are many similarities among the Lakota, Apache, and Incan coming of age
ceremonies for the boys of the tribe. Each tribe had a ritual that tested the strength
and endurance of the boys in their tribe. Boys in the Lakota tribe, particularly
around the age of 11, experience a test of endurance and strength that requires them
to fast, pray, and survive for a bare minimum of twenty four hours, in the wilderness.
By doing so, successfully, they will be fully recognized as a working member of the
community. The Apache tribe also does a test of endurance and strength to help their
boys become strong warriors. The elders of the community tell the boys to run to the
top of a mountain and come back again without stopping. As they become older,
Irish Republican Army Essay
Irish independence has been fought for a long time ever since the British occupied
Ireland in 1172. The King of England invaded and controlled Ireland. The invasion
led to religious and territorial conflicts. There was an effort to create a church
comparable to the Church of England in the 1500s. Catholics who live in Irelandwere
against the idea and a conflict for independence has emerged (Arena Arrigo, 2004).
The suppression of Irish nationalism by the British in the 20th century led to the
creation of martyrs for the cause led by the Irish Republican Army (Combs, 2011).
The alleged origin of the Irish Republican Army could be traced back to the Easter
Rising of 1916 (Alonso, 2001; Arena Arrigo, 2004; Filardo Llamas, 2013; Hart,
1997; Page Smith, 2000). Radical nationalists, who were part of a group called the
Irish Republican Brotherhood (IRB), took the opportunity to take up arms against
the British during the war in Europe (Filardo Llamas, 2013). The Irish Republican
Brotherhood was the precursor of the modern IRA. They were a secret society who

The campaign had ultimately led to the creation of the Act of Ireland of 1920. This
created a twenty six county Irish Free State and six counties in Northern Ireland
(Filardo Llamas, 2013; White, 1989). This act also allowed Northern Ireland to
choose whether or not to stay with Britain or become part of the Free State. Northern
Ireland ultimately decided to stay with the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland
created its own parliament in Stormont in Belfast (Bosi, 2012; Filardo Llamas,
2013). The Free State was mostly inhabited by Catholics while Northern Ireland
was populated mostly by Protestants (White, 1989). But the road to have a Free
State did come at a price. Over 7,500 people lost their lives or were wounded between
1917 and 1923. Many lost their homes, family and friends (Hart,
How Quebec Affected Canada
Quebec has made mistakes like building the Hydro Quebec without the permission of
natives on traditional land and by doing so, Quebec started to believe that if they left
Canada in the first place, they could make their own laws without having to forcefully

/control everything going on in the country no matter how many prominent people
come from Quebec or how many Quebecois soldiers risk their lives at war for

The Treatment Of Cancer Treatment
Abstract
Cancer is a crucial health concern around the world. Despite the major developments
in conventional treatments, radiation, chemotherapy and surgical therapies, still
many cancer cell lines, such as lung cancer, have a critically low 5 year survival rate.
The current conventional approach of cancer treatment is composed of surgery,
chemotherapy, and radiation, which considered the basic steps for any cancer patient.
However, the majority of these therapeutic approaches are associated with rigorous
side effects and overall prognosis remains poor with high fatality rate. For this reason,
in addition to the conventional treatment methods, a new trend to search the
alternative therapies to increase treatment efficiency is utilized. Annona Muricata is a
plant that shows a promising aspects in preventing cancer from spreading. This
research focused on the cancer disease, how it can be treated as well as the risks of
using a given treatment. Moreover, the study also looked at the symptoms of the

Essay On Wealth Inequality
Bernie Sanders once said, A nation will not survive morally or economically when
so few have so much while so many have so little. In order words, Sanders was
talking about wealth inequality. What is wealth inequality? Wealth Inequality is a big
problem in the United States today. Especially in today s society, where the rich are
getting richer while the poor stands where they are in a limbo. WealthInequality can
be described as the unequal distribution of assets within a population. Wealth
Inequality has been a problem from the beginning of time; however, it was not always
so serious and problematic. According to Jeffrey G. Williamson and Peter H. Lindert,
wealth inequality changed two points in history, the first half of the nineteenth... Show

It impacts the language we spoke, the way we act and the way we act. But how does
race affect wealth? Jeffrey G. Williamson and Peter H. Lindert claim that wealth
inequality rests upon the questionable assumption that race does not contribute to
American wealth inequality. Instead Williamson and Lindert claim that race cannot
explain all the race fails to offer an explanation for inequality (Lindert Para 3) .
However, according to Matthew A. Painter, Immigrants racial/ethnic status has
profound implications for their lives in the United States, including its influence on
their ability to improve their financial well being. (Painter Para 2) . In America s
case, Painter describes the situation better. Rakesh Kochhar and Richard Fry
provides an example of the relation between wealth and race when she states, The
wealth of white households was 13 times the median wealth of black households in
2013, compared with eight times the wealth in 2010, according to a new Pew
Research Center analysis of data from the Federal Reserve s Survey of Consumer
Finances (Shin Para 3) . This provides an example of how race affects wealth: the
white population holds all the wealth, while the minority holds very little of
Andromeda Research Paper
I chose the constellation Andromeda because the back story and myths it has really
fascinates me! I feel that some of the myths behind the consolations can be rather
boring, but with the romance and danger all wrapped into one, I continue going back
to it. This constellation is the 19th largest in the sky and is located in the first
quadrant of the northern hemisphere. It takes seven hundred twenty two square feet
in the sky! The myth is that Cassiopeia, Andromeda s mother was telling everybody
that her daughter was the most beautiful person ever created and that she was even
more beautiful then the gods themselves. Naturally, that upset the gods, mostly
Poseidon, because he thought he had made the most beautiful women in the world

beautiful, and alive, Andromeda to be his bride and queen.Because she was queen
she was honored in the stars forever. There once was a beautiful girl born to a poor
family who had so much love for her, as she was the only daughter of eight.
Unfortunately, they never had enough time with her, and her parents needed
another son so he could work in the fields, not a daughter, who they would have to
save up for a dowry. As she grew older her beauty did not fade, but alas, it grew
stronger, yet she did not notice. At her 15th birthday her parents grew tired and their
number one mission became to marry her off, as they just had a great harvest and
could afford a small dowry. They made her walk through the local village in thin
clothing every day so that the men would notice her, and make her curl her hair and
spend time working on her looks so that her natural beauty could not shine through,

Analysis Of The Outliers By Malcolm Gladwell
The Outliers is divided into two parts. Part One: Opportunity has six chapters while
Part Two: Legacy has four. Gladwell examines many successful people, like Steve
Jobs and Bill Gates. He examines their life history, what external factors were around
them, and the story of why they became successful. He spends most of the novel
discussing why they were lucky, born in the right time, or had the right opportunity.
He discusses factors that contribute to extraordinary success. The aspects of success
are timing, upbringing, cultural legacy, lucky opportunities, and 10,000 hours of
practice.

The first time, I wasn t really interested at all and I didn t read with an open mind.
But I wanted to give this a book another chance. I appreciated it more and thought
about it more. Although the author makes some interesting points, I find some of
the relationships he tries to make are far fetched. For example, he stated that the
people in an Italian community in Pennsylvania are well and live longer since they
have a sense of community . Some of the things I found interesting were that how
he explained all Canadian hockey players are born in January and the reason that
Asian people are good at math is because their ancestors cultivated rice paddies
instead of farms. The more I read his stuff the more I am fascinated by what he
does. He maintains his I see the world differently attitude. I was amazed and
surprised at what I learned about what makes people successful. He takes an event
and analyzes and explains it in an insightful and entertaining way. There was so much
that was interesting and informative about this book in terms of him dissecting the
factors that make for unusual success. All that was much appreciated. Especially the
10,000 hours of work to get to the level of excellence, something everyone who
wants to be proficient at something knows. But he forgot the most important element:
You have to LOVE it. To be honest, I liked The Tipping Point more than The

How Cricket Has Impacted My Life
There is nothing better than the sound a cricket ball makes when it hits the
wickets, or the feeling of a cricket ball in your hands. Cricket has changed and
impacted my life for the better, and has created memories that I would never trade
for. Playing cricket at a young age caused it to be a huge part of my life. Playing
and watching cricket was my first love. I grew up watching cricket legends such as
Sachin Tendulkar and Shoaib Akhtar battle against each other. Cricket has taught me
many things about life; it taught me how to listen, how to be a leader, and how to
be a good teammate while working well with others. Cricket has also taught me that
sometimes you have to lose some before you can win some, and that success requires
hard work.

Movie Like Ghostbusters And Harry Potter Essay
Growing up it is common to come across some kind of superhero that completely
fascinates us, not only do we try to mimic their appearance but also the high moral
standards they live by. This can range from only fighting evil, always being polite

discourse about the approach taken to solve the ethical concerns or conflict amid

Goals and Objectives
The foremost intention or goal of the research paper is to reply the subsequent
questions:
What is the principle of the notion of the organization ethical issue?
What are the procedures that can help to overcome the agency problem?
The research or investigation is built on the proposition that the elucidation for the

Why The Drinking Age Should Be Changed
The feasibility of why the drinking age should be changed from 21 to 18 can be
shown in a variety of reasons, which would show that the drinking age should be
changed. If this law was changed it would benefit several people for it would
create less stress for certain people and it simply makes sense to change it.
Although there will be a few people that may not agree with it, although the
reasons that will be shared can help change those people s minds. By changing this
law it will help this country out by putting the stress level of cops down, it will
help out the economy, people at that age are considered to be adults, less binge
drinking incidents, less drunk driving fatalities, eliminate people underage to feel
the excitement of drinking illegally, less fake IDs and it will also help there to be
less underage drinking that will happen. Overall this will just create stuff like this
that will help improve this country. The reason for this is there will be a great
amount of less people that are underage drinking for people needing to worry
about. When it comes to the drinking age it has been talked about for numerous
years in which it should be changed or kept where it is at. With the drinking age is
people can argue this issue for both sides of it, which this makes it tough to bring
forth any changes for the drinking age. This issue can cause a great deal of problems
for the United States as there are people fighting for the government to change the

The Impact Of Child Trafficking On Society
Abstract
This paper explores the impact of child trafficking in society. Poverty, gender
inequality, and globalization are some risk factors that contribute to child trafficking.
Even if governments, the United Nations and other important human rights
institutions strive to stop the propagation of this pandemic, it seems not enough.
What is more, the extent of the problem lies on how some societies look at minor
prostitution and the meaning of human life. In many poor countries sexual
exploitation of minors; particularly girls, is not considered a big deal when it helps to
support the family. Thereby, child trafficking continues and excels as to become one
of the most important and profitable businesses around the world. Terminologies such
as human trafficking and/ or domestic minor sex trafficking will direct the reader
toward a more deep understanding of the root of the problem. Human trafficking
deeply wounds society and people s life; however, some countries are little concerned
of the extent of this particular trade among minorities. Lack of policies and protection
from governments empower organized crime groups to continue the trafficking of
children around the world. Although the NASW (National Association of social
workers) code of ethics, social justice and dignity and worth of the person play an
important role when assisting survivors of child trafficking, social workers are called
to identify and find ways to meet survivors needs during the healing process.
An Analysis Of Emily Hoerner s Novel Ide Fostering...
Spreading across the United States is a growing epidemic and while the disease
will not maim or kill, it is known to be harmful to the growth and success of
children. This epidemic is known as a literary desert. Emily Hoerner defines a
literary desert in her 2015 article A Novel Idea: Fostering Literacy by Eliminating
BookDeserts as an area where children and parents lack access to quality books.
Literary deserts occur due to lack of readingmaterials and because of a growing loss
of interest in reading. Literary deserts are prevalent in low income and urban
neighborhoods where both children and adults have little to no access to quality
reading material. The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines literacy as the quality
or state of being literate with literate, defined as the ability to read and write. While
a literary desert is prevalent in low income neighborhoods, they are also seen when
technology has taken over the children s interest in reading outside of assigned
school reading which leads to a lifetime of consequences. A symptom of the loss of
reading material is a growing lack of interest in reading outside of school
assignments for students. As their access to literature is hindered, the desire to
search out new material decreases as the students age. Over the years, there have
been many ideas of how to stop the spread of literary deserts in urban and rural areas
such as reading partners and vending machines that dispense books instead of food.

The Problems With College-Entrance Testing Essay
One of the most stressful experiences for a high school senior is the search for the
college. So once these senior students finally develop a plan, why is it that they may
not be able to achieve what they desire? Colleges and universities today are
becoming more and more competitive, sometimes to the point of exclusive. With that
it is fair to say that entrance to certain schools may be more difficult and extensive
than the others based on popularity and demand. When this happens, colleges are
looking for the best of the best in academics, the student who will represent and be
the best for their institution. So what is the determining factor for college acceptance
for students? The most accurate answer would be standardized... Show more content

Since it is almost impossible to have any one on one work with students, the students
at the low end of the spectrum will have the most amount of time, if any, to work
individually with teachers. This leaves the advanced students unchallenged with the
same tasks that they have already mastered. Teaching to a test results in multiple
disadvantages for students. Educators also know that certain curriculum will be on
these tests, so that is what will be focused on in the classrooms. The curriculum for
these tests limits teachers on what they are allowed to teach as well as anything they
can teach outside of the core curriculum. The core curriculum being taught is what
will be found on standardized tests. When teachers have to stress these core subjects,
they are not able to teach any additional material that they would like to. Students
will not have the opportunity to learn about astronomy, for example, because they are
too occupied with memorizing elements of scientific formulas. While it is important
that students have an exceptional knowledge of core curriculum, they should not be
limited to just that. Electives and advanced classes are options for students who
already have a decent grasp on core curriculum and want to broaden their education.
However, standards for these advanced classes are being limited and making
educators go over the same curriculum again to improve test scores even more. For

Recognition Of Women In History Essay
Women In History Deserve More Recognition For All That Woman Did
Women in history made a large impact on everyone s lives today, even though most
of them did not get the credit woman deserve. Many times a woman has taken on
large leadership roles and are not given the amount of recognition that men in their
position do. For example, they could be a great Queen, and/or help end a war or
fight but not get any credit while men in their position are showered with recognition.
In history, many women are overlooked for all the hard work they put into helping

Zip Monologue
I was at a football stadium in Central City. A creature who called himself Zip is
right in front of me. His black eyes staring at me like he s trying to intimidate me. It
didn t look like he had the best intentions in mind. He had my powers, but only
difference was he was a little faster than me. We started charging at each other at
the same time surprisingly. I landed some good hits, but he landed more good ones
than I did. He was meaning to kill me, and I had to get out of there if I didn t want to
die. I got out of there and went back to my base S.T.A.R. Labs. I had a broken arm
and I had rapid healing abilities along with my super speed, so it should be only a
couple hours till I heal. A year ago a worm hole opened to a place called Earth 2,
that s were Zip comes from, and somehow he found out about me. Ever since he s
been trying to kill me, but I don t know why. I needed to get faster if I wanted to
beat Zip and I knew just the person to help me... my friend Hunter. I went to his
house to ask him for help and he told me he had something to give my speed a
kickstart. It was called the Tachyon Device. Two years ago a thing... Show more

Labs to see how long it took me. When I got back I was informed that I ran four
times faster than I ever did. Now all that s left to do is to find Zip, and Hunter has
already found him. He was at an abandoned orphanage on the other side of town. I
raced over there hoping to beat him once and for all, but when I got there he was
no where in sight. I walked around hoping to find him, but what I did find was his
plans. I read through them, but it didn t make sense. It was a list of names with
lines marked through them. There was pictures on the wall with X s on them. They
looked like speedsters like me, but there was only one without an X on it. I walked
over to it and as soon as I saw who it was I froze, it was a picture of

Also, only two input variable at a time is used, though several regression analysis
have been done for different combinations of input and output to get the most
reasonable and best approximate relationship. However, a bank uses any number of
variables as input simultaneously.
A bank measures its performance among other parameters on how much Loan or
Credit it has disbursed in a fiscal year or how much Deposit it has collected from
the customers etc. Though such data in isolation may not be a true estimate of the
efficiency of the business because unregulated disbursal of loans may cause Non
Performing Assets (NPAs) which will lower the Retained Earning of the Bank but
since the report is concerned only with the Production function of the PSBs hence no
comment will be made on this aspect. Similarly how competitively the Deposits have
been taken will not be a subject matter of this report. The Methodology of the report
is to be first gather relevant input/output data from authoritative source. The data so
obtained are processed and any assumptions made for their subsequent analysis is
clearly defined. In the next phase the data analysis is done wherein suitable regression
technique is used to generate the relationship between the input variables and the
Production output. Finally the Interpretation is done to assign the meaning to such

Segmentation And The Domain Independent Partitioning Of
An...
Segmentation The important aim of image segmentation is the domain independent
partitioning of an image into a set of disjoint regions that can be visually
differentiated, homogeneous and meaningful with respect to some characteristics or
computed property such as grey level, texture or colour to enable easy image
analysis. Image segmentation is a useful tool in many realms including industry,
health care, astronomy, and various other fields. Segmentation in concept is a very
simple idea. Simply looking at an image, one can tell what regions are contained in
a picture. Is it a building, a person, a cell, or just simply background? Visually it is
very easy to determine what a region of interest is and what is not. Doing so with a
computer algorithm on the other hand is not so easy. How do you determine what
defines a region? What features distinguish one region from another? What
determines how many regions you have in a given image? Discontinuity and
similarity/homogeneity are two basic properties of the pixels in relation to their local
neighbourhood used in many segmentation methods. The segmentation methods that
are based on discontinuity property of pixels are considered as boundary or edges
based techniques and that are based on similarity or homogeneity are region based
techniques. We have intentionally separated thresholding technique from region
based due the usage of histogram and its simplicity. A lot of limitations are faced
while applying segmentation namely:
River Runs Through Analysis
Art in the Village is an art gallery located in Casey Jones Village in Jackson,
Tennessee. This gallery features over 20 local artist s stunning pieces in a wide
assortment of mediums. With paintings, woodwork, sculptures, ceramics, and
jewelry, this gallery had a variation of art to view or purchase. Due to the fact that
there is artwork from many different artists in the Art in the Village, there is not a
theme to the artwork there. However, after reviewing all the art, you can notice that
each artist had their own theme. Each artist shares their inimitable talents and artistic
gifts, making this gallery one of a kind. Though the great pieces in this gallery were
boundless, one piece that really stuck out was River Runs Through by Jette Garner....

Through movement of spiraling colors, a sense of rhythm and a focal point was
created in the upper right corner. Though the artist did not list her medium for this
piece, it was pretty clear she used acrylic paint. The use of the complimentary colors
purple and yellow creates a contrast that catches the eye. Also, the contrast of colors
creates implied lines and circles. The River Runs Through is well balanced. The left
contains patterned or textured colors that metamorphoses into a focal point of smooth
colors creating the perfect balance. This painting is smaller scaled. Though it does
contain formal qualities, I would say that this piece is more informal than formal.
It holds an impression of both modern art and abstract art adjoined. With the title as
Garner s strongest hint, this photo is meant to symbolize a river that keeps running.
The wound colors make this river appear as it keeps going on and on. Overall, I
believe this was a very successful piece of
Rotator Cuff Tears Research Paper
A rotator cuff tear is an injury that plagues much of the elderly population as well as
a variety of athletes. The etiology of a rotator cuff tear is primarily due to the
degeneration of the tendons or more specifically the thinning and disorientation of
collagen fibers and degradation of various cells and tissues. 1 Rotator cufftears are
more likely to occur with age. Rotator cuff tears may occur due to direct trauma such
as falling or shearing linked to a simple throwing or rotation of the arm and shoulder.2
Symptoms of a rotator cuff tear that many patients claim are impingement of the
shoulder and pain while resting or sleeping. However, these symptoms can be
inconclusive and should be considered with caution. For example, pain at night
Violence In Media
The Effects of Violence in the Media

Abstract
Many would say that violence in the media is the key problem in society today.
However, an analysis of violence in the media reveals that violence does create a
more aggressive world, but that is not the only plausible explanation. When violence
is watched or participated in, the viewer s heart rate and blood pressure increase and
they have difficulty creating empathy for the others; they are more apt to act out that
anger. Others would argue that statistically violence has decreased in the world, and
that the violent behavior that is demonstrated by a few does not represent the whole
of society. It is with this reason that many say that there should be stricter ratings on
video games and movies, and parents should be better educated on ways to teach their
children ways to deal with the violent content in a healthy way.
The Effects of Violence in the Media
You are what you watch! An examination of violence in the media reveals that media
violence does create a more aggressive culture. Even though violent crime has
decreased, violence in the media had doubled or even tripled. This violent activities
viewed by children and adults in video games increase areas of the brain that control
emotional arousal and decrease parts of the brain that deal with self control and
empathy. Studies show that children become more

GVMH has a different prep than the book. Their prep consists of clear liquid diet,
five Dulcolax in the am, and then at 3pm a 64oz of Gatorade with Miralax the day
before the test. When the patient arrives medical history, consent forms,
explanation of test, and insertion of an IV are all completed. The patient is given

signs should be monitored every 15 30 minutes or as ordered. Watch for increased
temperature, abdominal distention, or pain. This could be a possible complication

Myeloma Case Study
At all stages of MM, from diagnosis, remission, relapse to refractory, patients will
face a high burden of biopsychosocial impacts. MM is characterised by the formation
of tumours as a result of the overproduction and accumulation of malignant plasma
cells in the bone marrow and on surfaces of various bones the body (Barber Mullen,
2017; Dowling, Kelly, Meenaghan, 2016). Consequently, these tumours causes the
inhibition of osteoblasts and elevation of osteoclasts (Silbermann Roodman, 2013).
Thence, it is evident that up to 90% of individuals with MM suffer from
hypercalcaemia and increased boneresorption (Silbermann Roodman).

As the kidneys play a role in the maintenance of calcium in the blood, the vicious
cycle of kidney dysfunction resulting in hypercalcaemia and bone resorption is
apparent. Hence, it can cause urinary problems, bone diseases, fatigue and further
perpetuate Mr X s long term prognosis of his kidney injury (Faiman, Tariman,

The debilitating physical symptoms related to MM can generate various social
and psychological challenges for the patient and their family caregivers. It is
revealed in a phenomenological study of individual s perception of how myeloma

fatigue resulted in decline in functional capacity and represented a physical
restriction in being able to attend to their activities of daily living. The enormous
shift of reliance on others may cause them to feel a loss of control, independence and

is expressed among the patients as they knew the illness would eventually bring them
to the inevitable relapse refractory stage (Hauksdottir et al., 2017). Hence, MM can
lead to detrimental effects in self confidence and depression (Maher DeVries, 2011).
Furthermore, it is demonstrated that MM can have a substantial social

assuring quality of the coaching services being provided. Coaching supervision is an
essential part for continuous professional development of coaches. It s the essential
link between theory and coaching practice, the main source of assuring quality, to
mitigate the risks may inherent in coaching. It can also help to increase the return on

Comparing Women In Hinduism And Christianity
Throughout history women have been treated as objects. Although it has never been
a better time to be a woman, people today treat women with disrespect. A reason
women are treated this way is because of religion and the societies that surround
them. Some religions have put women down and morphed the image of women to
fulfill their religious views. Two of these aforementioned religions are Hinduism and
Christianity. These religions have made out women to be lower than men in both
similar and different ways. Hinduism and Christianity put women in a negative light
and it effects the women in their communities.
Like most religions the perception of women has evolved over time. Sometimes it
was for the better other times it is for the worse. An example of this is exemplified
in Hinduism. According to A Concise Encyclopedia of Hinduism by Klaus K.

1 Corinthians 11:3 *
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of
the woman [is] the man; and the head of Christ [is] God. (And many more)
Unfortunately, some people in the faith believe that women are automatically sinners
because of Eve eating the fruit and due to the aforementioned verses. Although the
severity in the discrimination isn t as overt as in Hinduism, there are still issues that
affect Christian women today. The history of Christianity would have had a very
different development if it had not been for the generous support of many women...

Walmart Security Policy Summary
There is a lot that can be done to protect the system from outside attacks however
Walmart must also employee access control measures to limit the insider threat.
Walmart should enforce the concept of least privileges only allowing access to
employees that have a need to know. Once you have established least privileges, then
assign each user a unique username and password before granting them access to
cardholder data. Access controlwill help to enhance auditing when reviewing logs the
auditor will be able to distinguish users by their unique username.
Walmart will also be required to have a physical security plan in place to protect
access to server rooms and data storage facilities. The company should have a

What Is The Theme Of The Pie By Gary Soto
At some point in almost everyone s childhood, there is a moment of deliberate
wrongdoing, followed by panic and guilt. Perhaps it is standing on the water spout
outside the house and neglecting to inform an adult when the pipe breaks and
spews water into the backyard. Maybe it is lying to a parent about the whereabouts of
a dollar after the ice cream truck goes by. For author Gary Soto, it was stealing a pie
from the neighborhood grocery store. In his autobiography, Soto recounts the story
and emotions of his six year old self taking an apple pie off the rack and walking
home with it, only to be overwhelmed by a guilt ridden conscience. Throughout the
narrative, Soto uses imagery and precise diction to recreate his experiences as a guilty

Cause And Effect Of Gun Control
Gun Control and Its Effects. Many people around the United States are victims of
shootings, whether they be school shootings, mass shootings, or Terrorist Attacks.
There seem to be two common ideas either support or oppose gun control. In the
United States, many gun control supporters believe that guns are the reason mass
shootings happen while gun control opponents believe that people are the cause of
mass shootings. But they both want the people in the United Statesto be safe, whether
that is from government tyranny, mass shootings, gun violence, or mental health.
Government tyranny is what most, if all opponents to gun control believe and
worry about. This is a common occurrence because that is what is commonly
accepted as the reason for the Second Amendment. Supporters of gun control
believe that the United States is a great country that would never fall to tyranny.
But opponents often show the comparison with the federalist and the anti federalist
because we often feel the importance of the Bill of Rights. The Bill of Rights
guarantees the right to free speech and free worship along with the right to bear
arms. Opponents of gun control also cite how this country was founded on
fighting a tyrannical government, and the founding fathers did not want to
become what they fought so hard to get rid of ( Gun Control Laws... ). Mass
shootings are a controversial subject because many do not want to rush into gun
control because they could because anxious from any recent mass shootings.
Supporters of gun control believe that taking away assault weapons would solve
this but that word was made up in the wake of these shootings . Assault Weapons
are made up assault rifles are standard practice for the military as they are fully
automatic and have big capacity magazines and are made specifically to do major
damage. The Assault Weapons many supporters want to ban are known as semi
automatic rifles and have been around since the early days of the war with vietnam.

Netflix s Success And Difficulties
INTRODUCTION In many ways, Netflix is an amazing company to analyze. By
being disruptive, the company has changed drastically the disc rental business and
the streaming industry. In addition, the ecommerce business model Netflix has
developed was one of a kind, focusing mainly on the consumer s needs and
experience. Now, it might seem obvious that ecommerce marketers should focus
on these aspects but at the time it was a first. If one is not convince that Netflix is
an online retailer like no other, I could always argue with the 2013 online sales
made by the top 15 U.S. retailers (figure below). Most of the companies listed
below are either click and mortar companies, or pure players. They sell or rent
office furniture, hardware software, clothes, food. Only Netflix stands out, by
providing a subscription based model where people can access thousands of
movies either by disc rental or by streaming. This essay will provide insights and
sufficient background to understand Netflix s success and difficulties the company
is facing. BUSINESS / CLIENT DESCRIPTION NETFLIX S HISTORY
BUSINESS Marc Randolph and Reed Hastings founded Netflix in 1997 in
California. It is said that the idea came to Hastings after having to pay $40 in
overdue fines for returning Apollo 13 to late. Netflix was originally a website

traditional pay per rental model. In the early 2000, Netflix dropped this model and
Compare And Contrast Anne Bradstreet And Upon The
Burning...
In the 16th and 17th century the Puritan authors wrote poems and sermons that
reflected their Puritan beliefs. They did this in attempt to impact their audience. The
question asked is were one too Puritan, or was one not Puritan enough? Does one
author s beliefs run counter to the other, or are they almost identical with a different
approach? Within the two works I have contextualized, I confirmed that both authors
are Puritanalthough they vary in tone and tactic to declare her point.
To begin, in 1609 Anne Bradstreet wrote the poem Upon the Burning of our House .
In this poem Bradstreet depicts a woman losing her house and husband , along with
other things she treasured, to fire. According to the poem, Bradstreet says, And to my
God my heart did cry/To straighten me in my distress/And not to leave me
succourless. (8 9) This evidence illuminates that Bradstreet s character has a solid
relationship with God and she takes solace in the fact that he will relieve her from
all of her stress. In addition, Bradstreet says I blest His name that gave and took
(Bradstreet 14) To elucidate, the woman in the poem is secure with her belief of
God. She embraces and respects God s decision to punish her, knowing that he will
take care of her after her life on Earth. To add on, Bradstreet also states, And did thy
wealth on Earth abide? / Didst fix thy hope on mound ring dust? / To arm of flesh
didst make thy trust? (38 40) To elaborate, Bradstreet is conveying this woman
Halloween Make Up Guide Essay
Halloween Make Up Guide Halloween is right around the corner, and you re
probably planning something amazing as a costume. Most likely, that amazing
costume will require a bit more makeup than you are used to using on a regular
basis. It very well might include using makeup on parts of your body that normally
aren t subjected to it as well. If you re anything like most people when it comes to
Halloween makeup, you re probably planning to slather on the grease paint and
deal with consequences the next day. Please don t do that this year. Check out our
guide below to preparing yourself, applying makeup and cleaning up and you re
on your way to a holiday that won t have you dealing with the consequences the
next day. Allow Yourself Time to Prepare Your Skin This is a common mistake.
Depending on the day of the week and whatever else you have going on, it can
almost be a necessity to rush in the door, slap on your makeup, jump into your
costume, and go. Please don t do that. Giving yourself time and your skin the
adequate preparation it needs prior to applying makeup can go along way toward
keeping yourself breakout free on All Saints Day (that s the day after Halloween)....

As we all know by now blemishes are caused by three things, dead skin, bacteria,

Capturing The Ever Changing Chinese Consumer Market
This report is meant to capture the ever changing Chinese consumer market. It
includes demographic and economic information which McKinsey compiled by
conducting
Surveys in China, interviewing a total of more than 60,000 people in upward of 60
cities. As well as, information regarding rising incomes, consumer trends, and the
aging population. These consumer trends are expected to continue into the year 2020.
Common features of China s changing demographics include rapid industrialization,
rising incomes, urban living, better education, postponed life stages, and greater
mobility.
Changing Demographics
Economic profiles have been and will continue to be the most important trend
shaping the consumer landscape. The Chinese are getting richer faster, the
disposable income of the urban consumer is expected to double between 2010 and
2020 from approximately $ 4,000 to $ 8,000. This is close to South Korea s current
standard of living but far behind the United States, Japan and other developing
countries.
The wealth of so many consumers is rising so rapidly, many people in the value
category will have joined the mainstream by 2020. Mainstream consumers will then
account for 51 percent of the urban population. Their level of wealth will remain
quite low compared with that of consumers in developed countries. Yet this group,
will comprise 167 million households (close to 400 million people), will become the
standard setters for consumption, capable of affording small luxury
The Common Pattern Of Alternating Extinctions And

Extinctions and Radiations

The common pattern of alternating extinctions and radiations has been done through
biodiversity studies which studies the different organisms of species living on earth
and where they live. In Stilwell (2003) journal, Palaeocene faunas are characterized
by a perceived rapid evolutionary radiation involving many new taxa at both genus
and species level. Stilwell stated Molluscs living at the beginning of tertiary period
after the K T extinction event was the beginning of modern fauna. There was research
that saw the decimation of scores of marine organisms. Mollusc groups were
mentioned (e.g. Ammonites, Belemnites Rudistid and Trigoniid Bivalves), (Stilwell,
2003).
In Stilwell s research journal, Austral Palaeocene Molluscs focuses on the
composition of faunas and patterns of evolution, it shows diversity and riches. The
Southern Hemisphere show the break up of Supercontinent Gondwana and also
changes in oceanic circulation and climate. In the northern Hemisphere shows major
diversity changes in the Marine Realm.
In a journal written by Racki, it was mentioned, with the enlargement and
nitrification most likely will lead to the loss of deep water niches and step by step
siliceous faunas go through severe non selective losses during the end Permian mass
extinction, (Racki, 1999). All because of sudden volcanic winter the super anoxia
African American Males And Capital Punishment
African American Males and Capital Punishment We simply cannot say we live in a
country that offers equal justice to all Americans when racial disparities plague the
system by which our society imposes the ultimate punishment. (Senator Russ
Feingold, 2003). It has been proven that death sentencing across the USA is
determined by the raceof the victim and race of the defendant. In 1990, there was a
report from the General Accounting office which concluded that those who
murdered whites were more likely to be sentenced to death than those who
murdered blacks. (Focus, 2003) This injustice amongst us are because people are
scared and don t know. They don t know whether a black man is pulling out a gun,
their phone, wallet, etc. So just to remain safe, they retaliate by killing our men.
Society has grown to function on the fear of black men. Capitalism and the
imprisonment of black peoplehave become profitable. They ve made a big business

The Cable And Satellite Companies
For over a decade, cable and satellite TV companies have been prominent sources of
television entertainment. But that seems to all be changing due to a major increase
in the availability of online streaming. Cable and satellite companies are seeing a
major decrease in their customer base and new subscriptions. With technology
becoming more integrated into people s everyday lives, it is easier and cheaper to
watch the few shows you enjoy online rather than being a cable or satellite customer.
When cable and satellite company s first became popular with consumers, the internet
didn t exist. But over time technology advanced and now everyone is surround by it.
With the advancement of smartphones, laptops, tablets and many other devices,
watching television has taken on a whole new meaning. People are now able to watch
pretty much anything they wantwithout having to actually have a TV and cable
/satellite subscription.
Technology isn t the only factor affecting cable/satellite companies loss of
customers. There are many reasons why people are changing over to alternative
sources of entertainment. With most Americans having internet or access to
internet, they are able to stream new services for entertainment, like Netflix and
Hulu. These services are easier to use and don t require a long contract. You are
able to pay on a month to month basis and don t have to worry about signing a two
year contract. People are realizing that there are many choices now. They now have
options
Reference Groups And Their Influence On Consumer
Behavior
In order to understand what reference group influences are, it is necessary to firstly
understand what a reference group is. The depth of information surrounding
reference groups and the influences they poses on individuals, particularly on
consumer purchasing behaviour is vast and one could get lost in the mist of it all.
Therefore, it is vital to ensure that only research relevant to this study is included
in this section, thus an overview of what a reference group is will be provided,
then the different types of reference groups will be explored based on previous
research, then the data will start to look at the influences reference groups have on
individuals, and their purchasing behaviour, in order to fully understand the
power that reference groups have. 3.2REFERENCE GROUPS (LONGER) In
order to find a definition that is able to capture what a reference group is in a
comprehensive sentence, has been difficult and thus the following terms are the
most relevant. The term reference group is defined as A group of people that
influences the decisions and opinions of a person or group (Cambridge, 2016). This
term however, is very simplistic and more detail is required to fully understand what
reference groups are. Hyman (1942) originally characterised the term in a social
status study and this characterisation has been developed and refined numerous
amounts of times since, (comb, 1943, Campbell, et al, 1960 and Shibutani, 1955).
Park Lessig (1977) provided their version
Comfortably Nab Poetic Devices
Comfortably Numb is a song that psychologically takes us into the world of the
singer. The tone of the song seems to be delirious yet remorse bitten where the
person sings in a conversant and soothing voice. It may be said that drug addiction
indicates the background tone drab but it s not assertive. The lyrics seem to be in
the form of a dramatic monologue where the second person s existence is only felt
because of the first person s engagement with him. The singer starts with a Hello
and inquires about the presence of someone in a non descriptive house {Is there
anyone home?}. It feels as if someone who s really depressed and hurt, who hasn t
been in human company for months, comes out of his comfort hole and stands in
front of the singer. The singer(speaker) assures him that he could heal him but he
needs some startup facts for his diagnosis. However he realizes that his pain is an
illusion. The singer can see his lips move but he s unable to hear him. He relates
this inability to the fever he once had as a child; when his hands had swollen up
and it felt completely numb. He feels the disorder is back again. The second person
may be injected with a medicine by the speaker who also feels that ll keep him up...

metaphor in this line. Although a ship sailing far on the horizon appears to be on
fire, it is just the smoke emitted by the running engines. Similarly, the pain is just a
perception he feels. It s deceptive for the second person. Your lips move but I can t

he s saying. It appears like he is in his world of delusion and he s about to
Differences And Similarities Between Hitler And Mussolini
A Comparison between Hitler and Mussolini Both Hitler and Mussolini believed in
totalitarianism between the two world wars. Mussolini supported Italian Fascism,
while Hitler supported German Nazism. They had both great impact on the modern
European history.
Firstly, I would like to start telling one of the similarities of Hitler and Mussolini.
Both were anti communist. They were both similar in this way because Hitler was
against communism and wanted to ensure a communist revolt wouldn t take place
again. Hitler s policies were popular with many sections of the German people.
When he came to power in 1933, he caused a great wave of enthusiasm and
anticipation after the weak Weimar Republic . He pledged to violate the Treaty of
Versailles.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They were truly leaders to be remembered by Germany and Italy for years to come
and they indeed had a lot of similarities, while some aspects of them were different
as well. They supported Nazism and Fascism respectively. Some say that Hitler was
the more capable leader, but in fact Mussolini was Hitler s role model. Unfortunately,
their deaths were quite tragic: Hitler committed suicide and Mussolini got shot and
hanged on a market.

Essay On African Americans In The 1920 s
The 1920 s was a great time for African American pride in their culture though High
Art or Folk Art. Folk Art during the Harlem Renaissance best expresses Racial Pride
through celebrated black culture, celebrates black speech, and celebrates common
man. High Art having lofty imagery, elevated language, and mastery of European
poetic forms. First, Folk Art celebrates black culture because African Americans in
1920 s created The Blues, a type of genre of song that shows the struggle of African
Americans in the 1920 s. For example, Langston Hughesin 1927 wrote Homesick
Blues and Po Boy Blues showing that moving north was a struggle, how they wanted
to go home, and how poor they were. Another example would be, James Weldon
Johnson in 1927... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
these all mean normal words in the english language, but they are spelled different
because African Americans in 1920 s knew poor english from hearing it not from
learning it in a school. Ma = My, Morn = Morning, De = The, An = And, Po = Poor,
and Gal = Girl. Finally, Folk Art shows the common man, In James Weldon Johnson s
Seven Negro Sermons in verse you can see the common African Americanchurch
service. You can tell it is not like a normal every day church service. it sounds more
like an old African American woman telling the story of the creation of the earth.
For Example, one line reads Like a mammy bending over her baby, To a normal
person that sounds normally but to a Southern African American it means A Female
African American Servant . You can tell the common African American man can
understand this sermon a lot better that a white southerner can. High Art kinda
makes sense being better at Racial Pride because it shows lofty imagery and that
can help us understand African Americans Better, For example, Countee Cullen
Wrote in 1925 Color which uses a lot of Imagery like Scarlet Sea , Regal Black , and

Persuasive Essay On Electric Cars
Cars have always run on some sort of combustible fuel since they were invented.
However due to advances in technology, we are able to run cars on alternative
resources such as electricity, solar, and natural gas. Electric cars have been the
recent rage for the past five years with Tesla coming out with a very efficient and
luxurious car and tax credits offered for driving an alternative fuel vehicle. They
also offer ways to reduce car pollution. The hype about electric cars is real, but that
begs the question does driving an electric carsave you money over a regular fossil
fuel car? To start off you must look at the efficiency of both types of vehicles. For
this purpose we will take the most bought electric car, the Nissan Leaf, and a basic
good mpg fossil fuel car, Mazda 3i hatchback (using 2016 models). The Nissan
Leaf attains a lofty 114 mpgE, while the Mazda 3i gets 34 mpg. These numbers
seem misleading, because the range of these vehicles is much different. The
Nissan Leaf only has a range of 84 miles despite such a high mpg, while the Mazda
3i has an estimated 448 mile range. The cost to drive the Mazda 3i 28.1 miles,
which the national average miles per gallon for automobiles, is $2.06 dollars using
10/9/17 prices. The cost of driving the Nissan Leaf 28.1 miles is 1 cent due to
electricity being a less expensive commodity than gasoline. The bigger difference
between the two cars is their environmental output, since that was the whole reason
this kind of technology
Cats Are Better Than Dogs
Would you rather have a pet that is messy and needy or a pet that is clean and self
sufficient? It is undeniable that cats are way better than dogs. Cats can lick
themselves clean, and they make little to no messes whereas dogs slobber
everywhere and need to be given a bath. Dogs also take forever to train and have a
shorter life expectancy than cats while cats take less time to train and will be around
longer. Wouldn t you rather spend less time training your animal and have more time
with them? Not to mention, dogs can be a pain to take on walks, but cats use the
litter boxwithout any assistance. Dogs are also a lot louder than cats and definitely
more frightening. More people are scared of stray dogs than of stray cats. Do you
really want a dogthat will be loud and obnoxious and scare off your guests? With all
these reasons it s hard to deny that cats are tremendously better than dogs.
Canines are extremely messy, needy and smelly. They slobber, stink and need to
be taken on walks. A dog will slobber on you and your things like a non stop
waterfall. They re slobber, like the rest of their body reeks. Their smell will not only
be on them but on you, your house and in your car. Wouldn t you rather have an
animal that keeps its saliva inside its mouth and hardly smells of anything? Unlike
cats, dogs also have to be taken outside on walks to use the bathroom. A caton the
other hand will quietly use the litter box without your help. You could always let your
dog out in
Redcrosse In The First Canto Of Edmund Spenser s The...
Though the desire for excitement and adventure lives in everyone, even if the
definition for such things varies for each person, it is safe to say there are some who
are more inclined to achieve their desires rather than watch them pass by. This
inclination is a driving force that can, and often does, lead to disastrous or
unnecessary outcomes. In watching Redcrosse in the first canto of Edmund Spensers,
The Faerie Queene, it is seen that humankind can be selfish and inconsiderate of
who or what it may affect. So much so that a sheltered, nursing mother is ultimately
killed when all she was trying to do was protect herself and her young. In the end, it
was not the beast s fault for her and her young s peril; it was the fault of Redcrosse...

She is hidden in darkness so that she may see no one, as well, as no one see her, but
this is not what Redcrosse had in mind. Instead of recognizing that he was the
intruder and backing out, he made his presence be known, startling Errour s young,
which forced her to engage in physical defense and do everything in her power to
keep her family safe. The ensuing battle that led to the gory death of Errour and her
young, could have been prevented if only Redcrosse s decisions had not revolved
around such a narrow minded outlook. A family was destroyed by a blatant lack of
judgement and disregard for anything besides a selfish thirst for excitement that could
have easily been obtained without the resulting destruction.
There is no doubt Redcrosse deserved to have excitement and adventure in his life,
but how he obtained this was out of arrogance and ignorance. He caused many
lives to be destroyed all because he refused to believe there was any other way he
could have achieved his desire. Without stopping to think about the consequences of
his selfishness, Redcrosse led his companions into danger, as well. He refused to
listen to their requests to turn around and go back from whence they came even after
he was made ware of where they were and what they
Barack Obama Validity
Obama s Presidency May Be Invalid By: Tony Martin Obama s Presidency is
invalid. Documents of Obama s birth certificate and federal law at the time contradict
each other. His birth certificate shows that he should be a legal citizen while federal
law questions his legibility.
On October 28, 2008, in Pennsylvania Supreme Court Philip J. Bergs accused
Barrack Obama of being an illegal citizen causing him to lose the campaign. Bergs
believes and strongly questioned Obamas validity.
Barack Hussein Obama II was born on August 4, 1961, in Hawaii. His parents, who
met as students at the University of Hawaii, were Ann Dunham, a white American
from Kansas, and Barack Obama, Sr., a black Kenyan studying in the United States.
Obama s father left the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Bergs is Obama moving to Indonesia. George Spelvin from Western Journalism
stated, ...nearly one half of the Obama candidacy challenge has to do with his
adoption by Lolo Soetoro when his mother Stanley Ann Dunham Obama married and
moved to the police state of Indonesia. This helps Philip J. Bergs because looking
further into this statement and when looked into this information follows, When a
male Indonesian citizen adopts or acknowledges a child as his son, that child is
deemed to be Indonesian because the country does not allow dual citizenship status.
The U.S. law neither allows dual citizenship nor intervention according to the l930
Hague Convention protocols. This means that when Obama left America for
Indonesia he lost his chance of being naturalized meaning he would have to go back
through the American Citizenship
Yes, I am aware this is a Contradiction
I believe that the Broncos are going to own this football season. Yes, I believe that,
but that s not my main belief. Could I go on and on for pages and pages on that
belief? You bet I could, but I m not going to. Instead I m going to tell you why I
believe I shouldn t have to write this essay. The number one reason why I believe I
shouldn t have to write this $#$#1$#$# is that I m not in school, which means that I
don t want to do anything that is work related. I just want to sit on my butt, watch
movies, be obnoxious, and maybe improve my nonexistent Call of Duty skills.

Following that we had reason number two: I ve already done this essay before. So
that indeed puts us at number three. Reason number three: I am a girl of many
beliefs and therefore should not be forced to simply choose one AGAIN.
Remember, I ve had to make the decision of what belief to write about many times
before, and I nearly yanked my hair out every time. This time I m calling it quits. I
refuse to make a decision, and I refuse to write this essay. So let me perish in the
flames of failure, or in simpler terms let me fail, but forcing an indecisive girl like
myself to make a decision such as this is just plain barbaric. Welcome to the world
of reason number four. Yes, that s right, I actually have more than three reasons to
support my argument. I bet I would make a decent lawyer. It s too bad the world
will be denied my arguing skills, because that s absolutely NOT the career path I
choose to take. I ll stick to my original plans, thank you very much. I would tell
you, but that is not part of my argument and would only detract from the
seriousness and importance of my point. Reason number four is that all of my
beliefs really are simple. They shouldn t take much explaining. In fact, I don t know
how I managed to write all of those previous essays. If I remember right, there was a
good amount of me adding a bunch of things that didn t need to be in there, in short
they were completely filled with redundancy. These essays were very much like

This data will show exactly what occurred. The red widgets out sold the blue
widgets 20 to one. The data will always be measurable, and is a strait forward
method of research. It gives direct answers that are easy to interpret.
Qualitative research is not measurable. This is how a consumer believes about a
product. The consumer may feel that the color red makes the widget look better than
the color blue. There is no measurement for this type of research. Finding out what
makes the red widget more pleasing to consumers is the driving force for qualitative
research. This type of data is not strait forward and involves a large amount of
interpretation from the researcher. Experts are needed to translate the data.
Question 5: Assume you are a manufacturer of small kitchen electrics, like Hamilton
Beach/Proctor Silex, and you want to determine if some innovative designs with
unusual shapes and colors developed for European market could be successfully
marketed in the U.S. Market. What qualitative research would you recommend, and
why?
I would recommend a group interview because I would want to find a group
consensus for these European products. The group will give me a wider variety of
praise or concern for these products. They could also give feedback about what they
like and dislike about the products. The company could also find a group of people
most likely to buy these products. The
Ethical Issues in Film Erin Brockovich Essay

This representative is perceived to be a heartless person who is not taking

assumed employee from PG E actually calls to threaten the safety of Erin and her
children. Erin is threatened by this person because PG E know that she has
valuable information that could prove their fault in the health issues of Hinckley
community members. Clearly, this act portrays the business world in a damaging
way, and I believe we would all hope that our companies would never act in a way
to threaten an innocent mother and her family. PG E did not care for others;
otherwise they would have changed their policies to stop the use of harmful
chemicals. The only employee who I would suggest to be at a higher level on
Kohlberg s scale was a man named Charles Embry who approached Erin toward the
end of her investigation. He was instrumental in this law suit because he had saved
the documents that PG E had requested to destroy because he knew it was unethical
to destroy the evidence of harmful chemicals. He watched his cousin pass away at
only 41 years old, after suffering nose bleeds while cleaning the cooling towers,

Women During The Greek Period
Women during The Greek Period and Now Art and sculptures have been created
since the beginning of mankind in order to express themselves and demonstrate
human potential. From simple carvings on a rock walls to magnificent works of
art, such as the sixteenth chapel, art has continued to progress throughout time and
it continues to progresses even further. There are many different types of art to
depict different things the artist wants to transfer to his viewers if not created for
himself. Since works of art are made to express aspects within life, it creates
symbolics meanings the vary on the message the artist wants to give out. Besides
symbolic meanings, a work of art can notify the viewer of the history during the
time period it was created, roles within society, the way people lived during the time
it was made, how society functioned, what they believed in, and many more things
about life that are uncountable. Women were among one of the things artist painted
and sculpted about. They did this and continue to do this in order to show what
women meant to people during that time. Comparing an old painting with a
contemporary painting we can see how some aspects, techniques, and styles within
the art have changed and how women s roles have become different in society over
the course of time. We can also see what artistic aspects, techniques, and style have
remained the same, and what we can see what has remained the same about women
today. We can view this when we
Essay On The Fall Of The House Of Usher
The fall of The House of Usher The fall of The House of Usher by Edgar Allen Poe
is a deep, dark, and mysterious tale. The story begins with the narrator arriving at
the house of a childhood friend of his. He accepts an offer to stay with Roderick
Usher and his sister while they are both sickly and going through a dark and
disturbing time. The story takes a turn when both off the resident die and the
narrator runs from the house and soon watches it collapse before him. In the
beginning of the story, Poe does an impeccable job capturing the sadness and the
dreariness of the Usher s property. The narrator describes how the property fills his
spirit with sadness and woe. There are dead trees that surround the property as
well as this heavy deathly air that only covers the property of the Usher s. The
narrator describes how there was no earthly feeling which foreshadows the deaths
that happened toward the end of the tale. The dark and quiet lake in front of the
property matched the house and its empty windows. The house held a cold and
deathly gloom that struck fear at just the sight of it. The house itself resembled
irony because it was decaying and barely standing just as the residents who
occupied it. On the inside of the house, dark coverings covered that wall. The
narrator describes how obvious it was that the house had been passed down form
generations before. The tables and chairs were worn down and there were different
books that were

they could also be the heart as well. If we don t save this rainforest, then our planet,

reason they do this is to make their land fertile with the ash from the trees. In the

If I Was The President Essay. If i was president i would. If I Were the President essay topic ...

  • 1. If I Was The President Essay Writing an essay on the topic "If I Was The President" may present both exciting and challenging aspects. On one hand, the freedom to envision and articulate one's ideal presidential role allows for creativity and expression of personal opinions. However, this freedom also comes with the responsibility of constructing a well-reasoned, coherent argument that addresses the complexities of the role. Firstly, navigating the vast landscape of presidential responsibilities, from domestic policies to international relations, demands a comprehensive understanding of political systems, historical contexts, and the multifaceted challenges faced by leaders. Crafting a thoughtful essay requires thorough research to substantiate claims and proposals. Secondly, maintaining a balance between idealism and pragmatism is crucial. While it's tempting to present a utopian vision, acknowledging the practical limitations, political realities, and potential consequences of proposed policies is essential for a nuanced and credible argument. Additionally, articulating one's ideas in a clear and engaging manner is paramount. Striking the right tone and employing persuasive techniques to captivate the reader's attention while delivering a compelling message can be a demanding task. In conclusion, writing an essay on the hypothetical scenario of being the president involves a delicate balance of creativity, research, and persuasive communication. Navigating the intricacies of the topic demands a thoughtful approach to ensure the essay is both imaginative and grounded in a realistic understanding of political dynamics. For assistance with similar essays or any writing challenges, one can explore the services available on HelpWriting.net, where professional writers can provide support and guidance in crafting well-structured and compelling essays on various topics. • 3. The Shampoo to Beat All Shampoos Mickel Angelo A. Martinez EN 11 R 49 On the 1st of July 2007, Unilever launched its new shampoo brand: Clear Anti Dandruff Shampoo. It claims to rid the hair of men and women alike of all dandruff, and nourish the scalp at the same time. Once it was launched, there was immediately alot of buzz over the product. Maybe it was because the product contained Zinc Vitanol, an ingredient not used in any other anti dandruff shampoo. Or maybe it was just because it was marketed well, having high quality television commercials and the international pop star, Rain, as its endorser. But nevertheless, after a few months the brand became incredibly popular, having elite Filipino celebrities such as Piolo Pascual, Bea Alonzo, and John Lloyd Cruz in its ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In addition, the commercial mentions that the group is composed of ten million people, which would be very appealing to consumers because if that much people are using the product, then it must be effective and good. And in the same commercial they have three elite Filipino celebrities to further persuade consumers into buying the product. This part would be similar to the first commercial with Rain, but more appealing to the Filipino market, basically because the endorsers in these commercials are Filipino celebrities. Another important factor seen in every Clear advertisement is the use of the color black. Their campaign has always emphasized that the color black meant freedom from dandruff. If you think about it, the color black for Clear can symbolize shiny black hair, or confidence; because wearing black is often avoided by those who suffer from dandruff. And this was creative; it makes the advertisements unique and eye catching because they re the only advertisements wherein the people, the background, and pretty much everything is colored black. Black is mysterious, classy, and elegant, and it makes it seem as though the Clear commercials were perfume commercials, which makes them unique. It makes consumers feel as though they re buying a premium product, even though the product is actually just about 10 pesos more expensive than regular anti dandruff shampoos. When we talk
  • 4. A Summary Of The Apache Girl s Rite Of Passage Despite the different time period there are still things that stay the same, whether it s technology, education, or culture bits and pieces of history are still here in the modern world. Like, in the Medicine Bag, even though the tradition was generations old it was still passed down to the males in the family. Or in the video Apache Girl s Rite of Passage, the ritualwas centuries old and yet it was still used today in the reservation as the transformation from adolescence to adulthood. Incas ritual had evolved over time based on something that had changed. In this essay, all the similarities and differences will be identified in all three rites of passage. This essay also includes the advantages and disadvantages of text versus video. There are many similarities among the Lakota, Apache, and Incan coming of age ceremonies for the boys of the tribe. Each tribe had a ritual that tested the strength and endurance of the boys in their tribe. Boys in the Lakota tribe, particularly around the age of 11, experience a test of endurance and strength that requires them to fast, pray, and survive for a bare minimum of twenty four hours, in the wilderness. By doing so, successfully, they will be fully recognized as a working member of the community. The Apache tribe also does a test of endurance and strength to help their boys become strong warriors. The elders of the community tell the boys to run to the top of a mountain and come back again without stopping. As they become older,
  • 5. Irish Republican Army Essay Irish independence has been fought for a long time ever since the British occupied Ireland in 1172. The King of England invaded and controlled Ireland. The invasion led to religious and territorial conflicts. There was an effort to create a church comparable to the Church of England in the 1500s. Catholics who live in Irelandwere against the idea and a conflict for independence has emerged (Arena Arrigo, 2004). The suppression of Irish nationalism by the British in the 20th century led to the creation of martyrs for the cause led by the Irish Republican Army (Combs, 2011). The alleged origin of the Irish Republican Army could be traced back to the Easter Rising of 1916 (Alonso, 2001; Arena Arrigo, 2004; Filardo Llamas, 2013; Hart, 1997; Page Smith, 2000). Radical nationalists, who were part of a group called the Irish Republican Brotherhood (IRB), took the opportunity to take up arms against the British during the war in Europe (Filardo Llamas, 2013). The Irish Republican Brotherhood was the precursor of the modern IRA. They were a secret society who was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The campaign had ultimately led to the creation of the Act of Ireland of 1920. This created a twenty six county Irish Free State and six counties in Northern Ireland (Filardo Llamas, 2013; White, 1989). This act also allowed Northern Ireland to choose whether or not to stay with Britain or become part of the Free State. Northern Ireland ultimately decided to stay with the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland created its own parliament in Stormont in Belfast (Bosi, 2012; Filardo Llamas, 2013). The Free State was mostly inhabited by Catholics while Northern Ireland was populated mostly by Protestants (White, 1989). But the road to have a Free State did come at a price. Over 7,500 people lost their lives or were wounded between 1917 and 1923. Many lost their homes, family and friends (Hart,
  • 6. How Quebec Affected Canada Quebec has made mistakes like building the Hydro Quebec without the permission of natives on traditional land and by doing so, Quebec started to believe that if they left Canada in the first place, they could make their own laws without having to forcefully agree to the Constitutional Act. Even though Quebecis in Canada, they are not recognized as well as the English Canadians because they are the ones who lead /control everything going on in the country no matter how many prominent people come from Quebec or how many Quebecois soldiers risk their lives at war for Canada. Canada has brought more harm to Aboriginals because they have purposely tried to discriminate other groups that are not English or British to get rid of them.(Research Publications, N/A, 54).... Despite the major developments in conventional treatments, radiation, chemotherapy and surgical therapies, still many cancer cell lines, such as lung cancer, have a critically low 5 year survival rate. The current conventional approach of cancer treatment is composed of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, which considered the basic steps for any cancer patient. However, the majority of these therapeutic approaches are associated with rigorous side effects and overall prognosis remains poor with high fatality rate. Annona Muricata is a plant that shows a promising aspects in preventing cancer from spreading. For example, he stated that the people in an Italian community in Pennsylvania are well and live longer since they have a sense of community . Some of the things I found interesting were that how he explained all Canadian hockey players are born in January and the reason that Asian people are good at math is because their ancestors cultivated rice paddies instead of farms. • 18. The Impact Of Child Trafficking On Society Abstract This paper explores the impact of child trafficking in society. Poverty, gender inequality, and globalization are some risk factors that contribute to child trafficking. Even if governments, the United Nations and other important human rights institutions strive to stop the propagation of this pandemic, it seems not enough. What is more, the extent of the problem lies on how some societies look at minor prostitution and the meaning of human life. In many poor countries sexual exploitation of minors; particularly girls, is not considered a big deal when it helps to support the family. Thereby, child trafficking continues and excels as to become one of the most important and profitable businesses around the world. Terminologies such as human trafficking and/ or domestic minor sex trafficking will direct the reader toward a more deep understanding of the root of the problem. Human trafficking deeply wounds society and people s life; however, some countries are little concerned of the extent of this particular trade among minorities. Lack of policies and protection from governments empower organized crime groups to continue the trafficking of children around the world. Although the NASW (National Association of social workers) code of ethics, social justice and dignity and worth of the person play an important role when assisting survivors of child trafficking, social workers are called to identify and find ways to meet survivors needs during the healing process.

Spreading across the United States is a growing epidemic and while the disease will not maim or kill, it is known to be harmful to the growth and success of children. This epidemic is known as a literary desert. Emily Hoerner defines a literary desert in her 2015 article A Novel Idea: Fostering Literacy by Eliminating BookDeserts as an area where children and parents lack access to quality books. Literary deserts occur due to lack of readingmaterials and because of a growing loss of interest in reading. Literary deserts are prevalent in low income and urban neighborhoods where both children and adults have little to no access to quality reading material. The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines literacy as the quality or state of being literate with literate, defined as the ability to read and write. While a literary desert is prevalent in low income neighborhoods, they are also seen when technology has taken over the children s interest in reading outside of assigned school reading which leads to a lifetime of consequences. A symptom of the loss of reading material is a growing lack of interest in reading outside of school assignments for students. As their access to literature is hindered, the desire to search out new material decreases as the students age. Over the years, there have been many ideas of how to stop the spread of literary deserts in urban and rural areas such as reading partners and vending machines that dispense books instead of food. This leaves the advanced students unchallenged with the same tasks that they have already mastered. Teaching to a test results in multiple disadvantages for students. Educators also know that certain curriculum will be on these tests, so that is what will be focused on in the classrooms. The curriculum for these tests limits teachers on what they are allowed to teach as well as anything they can teach outside of the core curriculum. The core curriculum being taught is what will be found on standardized tests. When teachers have to stress these core subjects, they are not able to teach any additional material that they would like to. Segmentation The important aim of image segmentation is the domain independent partitioning of an image into a set of disjoint regions that can be visually differentiated, homogeneous and meaningful with respect to some characteristics or computed property such as grey level, texture or colour to enable easy image analysis. Image segmentation is a useful tool in many realms including industry, health care, astronomy, and various other fields. Segmentation in concept is a very simple idea. Simply looking at an image, one can tell what regions are contained in a picture. Is it a building, a person, a cell, or just simply background? Visually it is very easy to determine what a region of interest is and what is not. Doing so with a computer algorithm on the other hand is not so easy. How do you determine what defines a region? What features distinguish one region from another? What determines how many regions you have in a given image? Discontinuity and similarity/homogeneity are two basic properties of the pixels in relation to their local neighbourhood used in many segmentation methods. The segmentation methods that are based on discontinuity property of pixels are considered as boundary or edges based techniques and that are based on similarity or homogeneity are region based techniques. We have intentionally separated thresholding technique from region based due the usage of histogram and its simplicity. A lot of limitations are faced while applying segmentation namely:

  • 27. Violence In Media The Effects of Violence in the Media Julianna V. Cronan Alexander Early College 4th Block Honors English Mrs. Bumgarner Abstract Many would say that violence in the media is the key problem in society today. However, an analysis of violence in the media reveals that violence does create a more aggressive world, but that is not the only plausible explanation. When violence is watched or participated in, the viewer s heart rate and blood pressure increase and they have difficulty creating empathy for the others; they are more apt to act out that anger. Others would argue that statistically violence has decreased in the world, and that the violent behavior that is demonstrated by a few does not represent the whole of society. It is with this reason that many say that there should be stricter ratings on video games and movies, and parents should be better educated on ways to teach their children ways to deal with the violent content in a healthy way. The Effects of Violence in the Media You are what you watch! An examination of violence in the media reveals that media violence does create a more aggressive culture. Deterioration in mobility caused by the osteolytic lesions and fatigue resulted in decline in functional capacity and represented a physical restriction in being able to attend to their activities of daily living. • 32. Comparing Women In Hinduism And Christianity Throughout history women have been treated as objects. Although it has never been a better time to be a woman, people today treat women with disrespect. A reason women are treated this way is because of religion and the societies that surround them. Some religions have put women down and morphed the image of women to fulfill their religious views. Two of these aforementioned religions are Hinduism and Christianity. These religions have made out women to be lower than men in both similar and different ways. Hinduism and Christianity put women in a negative light and it effects the women in their communities. • 35. What Is The Theme Of The Pie By Gary Soto At some point in almost everyone s childhood, there is a moment of deliberate wrongdoing, followed by panic and guilt. Perhaps it is standing on the water spout outside the house and neglecting to inform an adult when the pipe breaks and spews water into the backyard. Maybe it is lying to a parent about the whereabouts of a dollar after the ice cream truck goes by. For author Gary Soto, it was stealing a pie from the neighborhood grocery store. In his autobiography, Soto recounts the story and emotions of his six year old self taking an apple pie off the rack and walking home with it, only to be overwhelmed by a guilt ridden conscience. He is reminded of the angelic grocer, and even though he is beginning to feel horrible continues to stuff his face with pie. Cross Eyed Johnny comments, your hands are dirty, before [climbing] his roof to watch the other boy eat. This once again brings up the symbolism of dirty hands, as though they are tainted with sin. The symbolism intensifies as Cross Eyed Johnny [jumps] off and [hobbles] away because the fall had hurt him . This represents a fall from grace, for the young Soto has committed perhaps the worst sin of his six year long life. He begins to feel paranoid and sees the pie tin [glaring] at [him] and feeling his face sticky with guilt . The personification of the pie tin shows that the boy feels like he is being watched and judged for his sin, and wet imagery is once again used to describe the stickiness of guilt. • 36. Cause And Effect Of Gun Control Gun Control and Its Effects. Many people around the United States are victims of shootings, whether they be school shootings, mass shootings, or Terrorist Attacks. There seem to be two common ideas either support or oppose gun control. In the United States, many gun control supporters believe that guns are the reason mass shootings happen while gun control opponents believe that people are the cause of mass shootings. But they both want the people in the United Statesto be safe, whether that is from government tyranny, mass shootings, gun violence, or mental health. Government tyranny is what most, if all opponents to gun control believe and worry about. This is a common occurrence because that is what is commonly accepted as the reason for the Second Amendment. Supporters of gun control believe that the United States is a great country that would never fall to tyranny. But opponents often show the comparison with the federalist and the anti federalist because we often feel the importance of the Bill of Rights. The Bill of Rights guarantees the right to free speech and free worship along with the right to bear arms. Opponents of gun control also cite how this country was founded on fighting a tyrannical government, and the founding fathers did not want to become what they fought so hard to get rid of ( Gun Control Laws... ). Mass shootings are a controversial subject because many do not want to rush into gun control because they could because anxious from any recent mass shootings. They did this in attempt to impact their audience. The question asked is were one too Puritan, or was one not Puritan enough? Does one author s beliefs run counter to the other, or are they almost identical with a different approach? Within the two works I have contextualized, I confirmed that both authors are Puritanalthough they vary in tone and tactic to declare her point. To begin, in 1609 Anne Bradstreet wrote the poem Upon the Burning of our House . In this poem Bradstreet depicts a woman losing her house and husband , along with other things she treasured, to fire. According to the poem, Bradstreet says, And to my God my heart did cry/To straighten me in my distress/And not to leave me succourless. (8 9) This evidence illuminates that Bradstreet s character has a solid relationship with God and she takes solace in the fact that he will relieve her from all of her stress. In addition, Bradstreet says I blest His name that gave and took (Bradstreet 14) To elucidate, the woman in the poem is secure with her belief of God. She embraces and respects God s decision to punish her, knowing that he will take care of her after her life on Earth. To add on, Bradstreet also states, And did thy wealth on Earth abide? / Didst fix thy hope on mound ring dust? / To arm of flesh didst make thy trust? The Common Pattern Of Alternating Extinctions And Radiations Extinctions and Radiations W 1, A 3 Bio 1021 By Roxanne Fortune South University Submitted: November, 16th, 2016 The common pattern of alternating extinctions and radiations has been done through biodiversity studies which studies the different organisms of species living on earth and where they live. In Stilwell (2003) journal, Palaeocene faunas are characterized by a perceived rapid evolutionary radiation involving many new taxa at both genus and species level. Stilwell stated Molluscs living at the beginning of tertiary period after the K T extinction event was the beginning of modern fauna. There was research that saw the decimation of scores of marine organisms. Mollusc groups were mentioned (e.g. Ammonites, Belemnites Rudistid and Trigoniid Bivalves), (Stilwell, 2003). In Stilwell s research journal, Austral Palaeocene Molluscs focuses on the composition of faunas and patterns of evolution, it shows diversity and riches. The Southern Hemisphere show the break up of Supercontinent Gondwana and also changes in oceanic circulation and climate. In the northern Hemisphere shows major diversity changes in the Marine Realm. African American Males And Capital Punishment African American Males and Capital Punishment We simply cannot say we live in a country that offers equal justice to all Americans when racial disparities plague the system by which our society imposes the ultimate punishment. (Senator Russ Feingold, 2003). It has been proven that death sentencing across the USA is determined by the raceof the victim and race of the defendant. In 1990, there was a report from the General Accounting office which concluded that those who murdered whites were more likely to be sentenced to death than those who murdered blacks. (Focus, 2003) This injustice amongst us are because people are scared and don t know. They don t know whether a black man is pulling out a gun, their phone, wallet, etc. So just to remain safe, they retaliate by killing our men. Society has grown to function on the fear of black men. However due to advances in technology, we are able to run cars on alternative resources such as electricity, solar, and natural gas. Electric cars have been the recent rage for the past five years with Tesla coming out with a very efficient and luxurious car and tax credits offered for driving an alternative fuel vehicle. They also offer ways to reduce car pollution. The hype about electric cars is real, but that begs the question does driving an electric carsave you money over a regular fossil fuel car? To start off you must look at the efficiency of both types of vehicles. For this purpose we will take the most bought electric car, the Nissan Leaf, and a basic good mpg fossil fuel car, Mazda 3i hatchback (using 2016 models). The Nissan Leaf attains a lofty 114 mpgE, while the Mazda 3i gets 34 mpg. These numbers seem misleading, because the range of these vehicles is much different. The Nissan Leaf only has a range of 84 miles despite such a high mpg, while the Mazda 3i has an estimated 448 mile range. The cost to drive the Mazda 3i 28.1 miles, which the national average miles per gallon for automobiles, is $2.06 dollars using 10/9/17 prices. The cost of driving the Nissan Leaf 28.1 miles is 1 cent due to electricity being a less expensive commodity than gasoline. The bigger difference between the two cars is their environmental output, since that was the whole reason this kind of technology

Cats can lick themselves clean, and they make little to no messes whereas dogs slobber everywhere and need to be given a bath. Dogs also take forever to train and have a shorter life expectancy than cats while cats take less time to train and will be around longer. Wouldn t you rather spend less time training your animal and have more time with them? Not to mention, dogs can be a pain to take on walks, but cats use the litter boxwithout any assistance. Dogs are also a lot louder than cats and definitely more frightening. More people are scared of stray dogs than of stray cats. In watching Redcrosse in the first canto of Edmund Spensers, The Faerie Queene, it is seen that humankind can be selfish and inconsiderate of who or what it may affect. On October 28, 2008, in Pennsylvania Supreme Court Philip J. Bergs accused Barrack Obama of being an illegal citizen causing him to lose the campaign. Bergs believes and strongly questioned Obamas validity. Barack Hussein Obama II was born on August 4, 1961, in Hawaii. His parents, who met as students at the University of Hawaii, were Ann Dunham, a white American from Kansas, and Barack Obama, Sr., a black Kenyan studying in the United States. George Spelvin from Western Journalism stated, ...nearly one half of the Obama candidacy challenge has to do with his adoption by Lolo Soetoro when his mother Stanley Ann Dunham Obama married and moved to the police state of Indonesia. This helps Philip J. Bergs because looking further into this statement and when looked into this information follows, When a male Indonesian citizen adopts or acknowledges a child as his son, that child is deemed to be Indonesian because the country does not allow dual citizenship status. The U.S. law neither allows dual citizenship nor intervention according to the l930 Hague Convention protocols. This means that when Obama left America for Indonesia he lost his chance of being naturalized meaning he would have to go back through the American Citizenship
  • 52. Yes, I am aware this is a Contradiction I believe that the Broncos are going to own this football season. Yes, I believe that, but that s not my main belief. Could I go on and on for pages and pages on that belief? You bet I could, but I m not going to. Instead I m going to tell you why I believe I shouldn t have to write this essay. The number one reason why I believe I shouldn t have to write this $#$#1$#$# is that I m not in school, which means that I don t want to do anything that is work related. I just want to sit on my butt, watch movies, be obnoxious, and maybe improve my nonexistent Call of Duty skills. Video games and I don t really get along, in fact, besides for Guitar Hero, we never have. Instead of wasting my time here, I want to go and obliterate some aliens or... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Following that we had reason number two: I ve already done this essay before. So that indeed puts us at number three. Reason number three: I am a girl of many beliefs and therefore should not be forced to simply choose one AGAIN. Remember, I ve had to make the decision of what belief to write about many times before, and I nearly yanked my hair out every time. This time I m calling it quits. I refuse to make a decision, and I refuse to write this essay. So let me perish in the flames of failure, or in simpler terms let me fail, but forcing an indecisive girl like myself to make a decision such as this is just plain barbaric. Welcome to the world of reason number four. Yes, that s right, I actually have more than three reasons to support my argument. I bet I would make a decent lawyer. It s too bad the world will be denied my arguing skills, because that s absolutely NOT the career path I choose to take. I ll stick to my original plans, thank you very much. I would tell you, but that is not part of my argument and would only detract from the seriousness and importance of my point. Reason number four is that all of my beliefs really are simple. They shouldn t take much explaining. In fact, I don t know how I managed to write all of those previous essays. If I remember right, there was a good amount of me adding a bunch of things that didn t need to be in there, in short they were completely filled with redundancy. These essays were very much like Stephenie

It gives direct answers that are easy to interpret. Qualitative research is not measurable. This is how a consumer believes about a product. The consumer may feel that the color red makes the widget look better than the color blue. There is no measurement for this type of research. Finding out what makes the red widget more pleasing to consumers is the driving force for qualitative research. This type of data is not strait forward and involves a large amount of interpretation from the researcher. Experts are needed to translate the data. Question 5: Assume you are a manufacturer of small kitchen electrics, like Hamilton Beach/Proctor Silex, and you want to determine if some innovative designs with unusual shapes and colors developed for European market could be successfully marketed in the U.S. Market. What qualitative research would you recommend, and why? I would recommend a group interview because I would want to find a group consensus for these European products. The group will give me a wider variety of praise or concern for these products. They could also give feedback about what they like and dislike about the products. The company could also find a group of people most likely to buy these products. The
  • 54. Ethical Issues in Film Erin Brockovich Essay Ethical Issues in film Erin Brockovich There are many ethical issues in the movie Erin Brockovich. This movie is about a mother of three who uncovers a water poisoning case by Pacific Gas Electric Company (PG E) in southern California. Erin has the responsibility to feed and educate her three children and she has a general distrust of people. She begins by forcing her lawyer Ed Masry to give her a secretarial job after he failed to get her a settlement from an auto accident. She doesn t exactly fit in at the firm. Other female co workers do not approve of her cleavage that she shows. Women in the office don t include Erin in going out to lunch and even helping her out when she asks for assistance. There are... This representative is perceived to be a heartless person who is not taking responsibility for the damage his company has caused to families like the Jensen s in the community of Hinckley. Another example of the company, and therefore business world, being rightfully portrayed in a negative light was when an assumed employee from PG E actually calls to threaten the safety of Erin and her children. Erin is threatened by this person because PG E know that she has valuable information that could prove their fault in the health issues of Hinckley community members. Clearly, this act portrays the business world in a damaging way, and I believe we would all hope that our companies would never act in a way to threaten an innocent mother and her family. PG E did not care for others; otherwise they would have changed their policies to stop the use of harmful chemicals. The only employee who I would suggest to be at a higher level on Kohlberg s scale was a man named Charles Embry who approached Erin toward the end of her investigation. He was instrumental in this law suit because he had saved the documents that PG E had requested to destroy because he knew it was unethical to destroy the evidence of harmful chemicals. He watched his cousin pass away at only 41 years old, after suffering nose bleeds while cleaning the cooling towers, having his

Besides symbolic meanings, a work of art can notify the viewer of the history during the time period it was created, roles within society, the way people lived during the time it was made, how society functioned, what they believed in, and many more things about life that are uncountable. Women were among one of the things artist painted and sculpted about. They did this and continue to do this in order to show what women meant to people during that time. Comparing an old painting with a contemporary painting we can see how some aspects, techniques, and styles within the art have changed and how women s roles have become different in society over the course of time. We can also see what artistic aspects, techniques, and style have remained the same, and what we can see what has remained the same about women today. We can view this when we

In the beginning of the story, Poe does an impeccable job capturing the sadness and the dreariness of the Usher s property. The narrator describes how the property fills his spirit with sadness and woe. There are dead trees that surround the property as well as this heavy deathly air that only covers the property of the Usher s. The narrator describes how there was no earthly feeling which foreshadows the deaths that happened toward the end of the tale. The dark and quiet lake in front of the property matched the house and its empty windows. The house held a cold and deathly gloom that struck fear at just the sight of it. The house itself resembled irony because it was decaying and barely standing just as the residents who occupied it. On the inside of the house, dark coverings covered that wall. The narrator describes how obvious it was that the house had been passed down form generations before. The tables and chairs were worn down and there were different books that were
