New technologies for teaching-
learning process and the role of
e-content in future classroom
Introduction:-
 Educational technology is concerned with the application of
modern skills and technique to the requirement of education
and training. ICTs are a potentially powerful tool for extending
educational opportunities, both formal and non formal
education. Technology of education is being developed with
the aim not only of making education more widely available,
but also for improving the quality of education which is
already available. So e-content is important which can make a
significant difference to how learners learn, how quickly they
master’s skill, how it is to study, and equally important is how
much pupils enjoy learning.
 Use of computers in the classroom
 Use of digital microphones in the classroom
 Use of mobile devices
 Use of smart interactive whiteboards
 Use of online media
 Use of online study tools
1.To explains the new technologies in
teaching – learning process.
2. To define the features of ICT.
3. To explain concept and need of e-content.
4. To discuss the role of e-content in future
classroom.
 Preservation of knowledge:-Eminent educationists,
philosophers, scientists and experts in various field are
presenting knowledge. Audio and visual cassettes etc. are
prepared to store their valuable talks.
 Transmission of knowledge:-Open schools, open universities,
country-wide class-room in which knowledge is transmitted
through T.V, Radio, Eduset and e-content etc.
 Enrichment:- Collected information is analyzed with the help
of computers. For example:- research data is calculated with
the help of computers and by using SPSS.

Information and communication technologies are arising from
scientific and technological progress in computer science,
electronics and telecommunications. They enables us to
process, store retrieve and disseminate valuable information in
text, sound and video form. The tool and resources of ICT
includes all modern day invention in the field of internet,
software and hardware tools which are used to communicate
through satellites, computers, mobile phones, tablet etc. It
serves as a specific media to implement the learning process.
e-content can be promoted through the use of web. All activities,
theories practical and experiments exercise will be created and
make available in the web.
e-Content is the heart of e-learning. Online articles, streaming
video, audio segments, images, specially designed websites
and unique learning objects - these electronic elements are
created to enhance courses and improve learning. e-learning
offers the ability to share material in all kinds of formats such
as videos, slideshows and PDFs
 For effective teaching: The teachers should use the teaching
methods in the classroom that will ultimately enable students to
apply skill independently.
 It supports the e-Learning: e-Learning involves the delivery
of education and training to anyone, anytime and anywhere.
 Availability in the web: All activities, theories, practical and
experiment exercise will be created and make available in the
web.
 For distance education: It replacing instructor-led training
with electronic content delivery.
1. Anywhere, anytime, anyone:-This will enable business to
distribute training and critical information to multiple
locations easily and conventionally.
2. Cost saving: Cost associated with remote training
(travel time, and expense) reduced. Cost for 3rd party
trainers is reduced.
3. Access to timely information: Web based products allow
instructors to update lessons and material across the entire
network instantly.
4. Higher retention of content through personalized
learning: Technology based solutions allow more room for
individual differences in learning styles. People can learn at
their own pace.
e-learning (also called electronic learning) is any type of learning
that takes place through a computer. E-learning is primarily
facilitated through a internet. It can also accomplished with
CD-ROMs and DVDs, audio-video and other media. The
purpose of e-content is to allow people to learn for personal
accomplishment and to earn professional degree without
physically attending a traditional university. For delivery e-
content the classroom have facilities like a projector, screen,
speakers and a computer classroom. The teacher can display
various type of content that is delivered either on the classroom
computer or on the teacher’s laptop.
 Educational technology tries to identify the educational
objectives in terms of behavioral term.
 It helps in designing a suitable curriculum for the achievement
of educational objective and producing the suitable teaching-
learning material.
 It covers different aspect of teaching and learning such as
variables of teaching, level of teaching, the concept of learning
and making teaching-learning process more effective.
 It also devises suitable tools for continuous evaluation of the
process and product of the teaching-learning activities.
Technology plays a big role in developing better teaching-
learning process for modern classroom. These classrooms
enhance the learning experience and prepare better students for
higher education. Technology should not be looked upon as a
solution to 21st century education; it is simply a tool to aid
education and its processes. Also technology should not be
taken as a separate subject only; rather it has to be treated as an
assistive tool that is useful for each and every level of teaching
and learning. ICT in the classroom has been to prepare the
better current generation of students for workplace and e-
Content used as a new technologies or applications in the
service of teaching and learning support.
