ICT refers to information and communication technologies that can be used in education to improve student learning and teaching methods. An ICT-enabled classroom would include input sources like PCs, tablets, and cameras; output sources like projectors and interactive whiteboards; and other technologies like digital cameras and recorders. While ICT tools can make lessons more engaging through images and interactivity, setting up the technologies can be troublesome and the equipment is often expensive. ICT is important for education as it enhances learning, motivates students, helps achieve lesson objectives, and fosters 21st century skills.
