ganitong pagbasa ang mahalagang mensahe sa pahinang
binabasa o tinitingnan, halimbawa nito ay pagtingin sa diyaryo
upang alamin kung nakapasa sa isang Board Examination,
pagtingin ng winning number ng lotto.
3. ISKIMING
• Ito ay pagsaklaw o mabilisang pagbasa upang makuha ang
pangkalahatang ideya o impresyon, o kaya’y pagpili ng materyal na
babasahin. Ito rin ay pagtingin o paghanap sa mahalagang
impormasyon, na maaaring makatulong sa pangangailangan tulad ng
term paper o pamanahong papel, riserts at iba pa.
4. PREVIEWING
• Sa uring ito, ang mambabasa ay hindi kaagad sa aklat o chapter.
Sinusuri muna ang kabuuan at ang estilo at register ng wika ng
sumulat. Ang ganitong paraan ay makatutulong sa mabilis na pagbasa

pagbasa na may hangarin na mapalawak ang
kaalaman.
