The Research Design For A High Quality For Healthcare And...
Researches are always carried out with the purpose of answering questions that are there, to ascertain
a particular phenomenon or to prove a concept. Different researchers have different reasons for
carrying out their research and this is encourage because the knowledge that is gained can be used by
the others in improving that research or better understanding what the situation is. This paper tries to
look at what the researchers were after and at the same trying to see the challenges they faced and
their limitations. It basically tries to understand why the researchers chose the research design that has
been used in the research. Thesis What reasons did the researchers have in carrying out this research
and what significance does it have. The research design that was chosen, what reasons are behind it
being chosen? Did the researchers achieve their objective? The researchers try to bring out the
importance of having a high quality in healthcare and social services and how it can be achieved. They
acknowledge that various stakeholders are involved in the development of a meaningful and
significant of high quality in the fields of healthcare and social services. They understand that policies
are often developed without a contextual understanding of how there can be an achievement in the
development in provider organizations, and frontline work, making policies difficult to implement.
For this reason they look into the role that is played by the third party intermediary

Jocasta as a Tragic Hero Essay

Upholding Jocasta as the Tragic Hero
What makes a tragic hero? Aristotle lays down groundwork of a tragic hero as being essentially good.
They are neither villain nor saint because they have flaws. Several elememts are nevcesary to have a
tragic hero, they are the tragic flaw, the reversal, recognition, and hubris. These generally make up the
story of the tragic hero, and in the case of Jocasta, the wife and mother of Oedipus in Sophocles
Oedipus the King, she posses all three. Yet she is not truly considered a tragic hero, but a tragic
character by many. However seeing as it is the character of Jocasta that sets the story in motion, and
she posses the qualities in a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Because she thinks that she and Laius were able to avoid the prophecy, she gives little credence to
what the oracle says (Sophocles 1.1. 784 796). She respects the gods, but not the oracles. She tries to
lead Oedipus to adopt this standpoint as well, telling him of the prophecy told to Laius and herself,
and how that prophecy did not come to pass. After telling Oedipus that he need not worry about the
words of a prophet she tells him, Whatever the god needs and seeks he ll bring to light himself, with
ease. (Sophocles line 799 800). Later she goes to Apollo s temple and asks for his guidance, saying
that they are in the grip of fear, beseeching his help for Oedipus and saying, I come with prayers and
offerings...I beg you, cleanse us, set us free of defilement! (Sophocles line 1009 1010). She does not
yet realize that the defilement cannot be cleansed.
Hubris
Her only flaw is disregard for the prophets; she never disregards the gods themselves. Her disbelief in
them is sound, and she maintains her belief in the gods. In this way it is hubris, her overwhelming
pride or belief that she thwarted the earlier prophecy. It is still this flaw which is a part of her tragic
downfall.
The Reversal
Peripetia, or the reversal, is another element of the tragic hero. Such as when an action backfires on
the person, much the way that abandoning Oedipus

Sao Paulo
Good Day Mr. Brown, You recently had asked me to find the risk assessment about Sao Paulo and this
is what I have found. I believe you and the rest of my co workers will enjoy it there but there are
certain places in Sao Paulo that are still dangerous especially in the day time while if you and the
Thomson Reuters team travel to the Central areas in Sao Paulo it is very dangerous at night. I needed
to inform you that the crime rates have decreased since 2011 but the level of crime is very high
calculating to 86.30%, also armed robberies are very common. Crime does indeed continues to be the
ultimate threats to visitors. The Central Sao Paolo is safe in the day time but be aware that

Every year, natural disasters kill people. They have a few dangerous insects found In the Amazon and
health hazards, can mostly come from mosquitoes. The flood watch really occurs when the rain is
pouring extremely heavy causing mudslides, falling trees, swollen rivers, and hills collapsing due to
already saturated soil making houses and buildings unstable to stand still. Sao Paolo have different
alternatives such as using the trains, buses, taxis, or subways to get around. The roads aren t very safe
to drive on Sao Paolo. Taxis are very cheap but to avoid getting anything personal taken from you
have your windows wind up. There are 3 main bus terminals in Sao Paulo which are Terminal
Rodoviario do Tiete, Rodoviario da Barra Funda and Rodoviario de Jabaqara. Buses would be more
accessible, a little safer and prices stay the same because if you take the subway or even the train it
closes at midnight during the week and 1 am on Saturdays. There are three major airports in Sao Paolo
which are Guarulhos International (GRU) and Viracopos (IATA:VCP or CPQ) both airports travel to
domestic and international areas while Congonhas (CGH) only has medium and short haul flights. The
best two places to stay are the Sao Paolo Lodge Business Hostel and Mercure Sao Paolo Jardins Hotel.
It is very close to all 3 airports both driving and taking the train. Mr. Brown do remember when
staying at the hotel to place your personal belongings into the safe and not to not leave it with the
receptionist. My biggest concern while in Sao Paolo to avoid getting sick or getting any dengue fever
is watching the food you eat and the water or liquids you drink. Sao Paolo is a great city but please
take precaution traveling at night by yourself or even having valuables on you in the day

The Weeknd Discourse Community Examples
Many examples of discourse community can be seen when you consider music. Every artist has two
sets of fan bases; the first are the band wagon fans, these are people who only like the artist when they
are what society considers main stream. The second type of fans are the loyal fans, most who have
listened to the artist since they have started singing/rapping. These loyal fans are the groups who make
up discourse communities. These communities are important because they are the structure of an artist
career, without these loyal fans, artist aren t able to grow. To dig deeper into discourse communities,
we are going to look at the XO community (also know as The Weeknd). After joining this community,
I have learned key terms which can make ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

magazine. In the XO community, we identify as being apart of the family based on two things; which
is time of listening to The Weeknd s music and the knowledge of what you know about him. I ve been
a part of the community for 6 years, and was introduced to The Weeknd by my older sister. She had
come into my room playing The Weeknd s cover of Michael Jacksons song Dirty Diana and asked me
if I thought he said like Michael. From that point on I had fell in love with his voice and now listen to
him constantly. During this time, that she introduced me to him, is what we as fans like to consider

we consider The Weeknd our secret because he had not gone mainstream , so little people knew of
him. These albums were a time of darkness in The Weeknd s life and is where a majority of the

The Way Forward
A New Economic Vision for

Summary
Disruptive market, demographic, fiscal, and environmental dynamics are fundamentally reshaping
America s economic landscape. In this new reality, the United States should think of infrastructure not
in the general but in the specific, understanding the ways in which different infrastructure sectors such
as transportation, energy, and water are governed, financed, and delivered. At the same time,
metropolitan areas need to outline their priorities given their distinct economies, competitive
advantages, and infrastructure needs. As public ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The United States faces an unprecedented number of economic, demographic, fiscal, and
environmental challenges that compel both the government and the private sector to rethink the way
they do business. While these new forces are incredibly diverse including everything from the shale
gas revolution to renewed consumer preferences for urban living they share one underlying need:
modern, efficient, and reliable infrastructure. Tangible assets made of concrete, steel, and fiber optic
cable are essential building blocks of the American economy. Infrastructure enables global trade,
powers businesses, connects workers to their jobs, creates new opportunities for struggling
communities, and protects America from an unpredictable natural environment. From private
investments in telecommunication systems, broadband networks, freight railroads, energy projects,
and pipelines, to public investments in transportation, water, public buildings, and parks,
America s infrastructure is the backbone of a healthy national economy. Infrastructure also supports
American workers, providing millions of jobs each year to build and maintain the structures and
facilities that power our economy. Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics reveals that approximately
14 million Americans are employed in fields directly related to infrastructure. From locomotive
engineers, electrical power line installers and truck drivers to airline

Reflection On Borderline Personality Disorder
Reflection Number Three Over the past few units, I have greatly expanded my knowledge about
several different psychological topics. Though many of the topics that were discussed sparked my
interest, there were two types of disorders that furthered my knowledge, but also eliminated some
stereotypes that I had about them. The two main areas that I learned more about regarding these
disorders were characteristics of the disorders and different methods of treatment. A common theme
that has been discussed in multiple different units is that several psychological disorders can have
similar symptoms and characteristics. It is crucial to understand what makes one psychological
disorder different than another one. Determining what type of disorders an individual might have can
lead to better and more accurate treatment options; treatments methods are important because they
help individuals manage their disorders. The two disorders that I found to be the most important and
most interesting are borderline personality disorder and schizophrenia. Borderline personality disorder
is associated with a variety of different components and symptoms. The two main areas that borderline
personality disorder is related to are moods and relationships; both of these areas tend to be quite
unstable. The element about borderline personality disorder that I was not aware of was the increased
risk that they have of injury or even death by their own hands. It is a common stereotype that is
depicted in the media that those with psychological disorders are always acting sporadically and
causing harm. It was discussed in this unit that the main reason these individuals are risks to
themselves is because of instability, dysfunction, and impulsivity. Though these elements may sound
like they match what is portrayed in the media, there are deeper meanings behind them that can cause
dangerous behaviors. Instability is associated with relationships; individuals with borderline
personality disorder often have unstable relationships because of their lack of emotional control,
which can then lead to a constant fear of abandonment. Dysfunction is associated with unstable
emotions and is often a good predictor of potential suicidal thoughts and

How Did The Enlightenment Influence Russian Government
Influences of the Enlightenment and Napoleonic France on Russia, Egypt and the Ottoman Empire
In the nineteenth century, leaders of Russia, Egypt and the Ottoman Empire looked to the seventeenth
and eighteenth century philosophies of the European Enlightenment and Napoleonic France as guides
for building a modern state. They emulated military strength and thriving academic and agricultural
institutions, as well as a direct relationship between the general population and national authority
figures. In Russia, Tsar Nicholas looked to the principle of democracy which pervaded the French
revolution, as it was characterized by a direct relationship between the government and its
constituents. In order to appeal to a Russian population that was moved by the prospect of democracy,

His was not the only nation adopting these qualities. In Egypt, Muhammad Ali used the convictions of
these periods as guiding principles in establishing a modern state, beginning with military reform. He
set about modernizing his army, before expanding the Enlightenment and Napoleonic influences
which manifested themselves in his country, to include investment in academia and agriculture. In
response to the Enlightenment s emphasis on free thought and reason, he built new schools for
medicine and engineering. Looking to compete with western European civilizations like Napoleonic
France, he invested in agriculture, developing irrigation systems and building dams. In the Ottoman
Empire, the Sultan Mahmud II also drew inspiration from the Enlightenment and Napoleonic France
on a strategic level, leveraging Western military techniques to recover the national dignity lost in
embarrassing defeats by European armies. His other Enlightenment inspired goal was to make the
Ottoman Empire a society that was hospitable to all religious practices. In seeking to implement his
plans, he was forced to pander to the Muslim population, and local wealthy

Theme Of Death In Hamlet
In Hamlet, playwright William Shakespeare intertwines the primary motifs of death, disease, and
decay into each scene of the play to create a distinct depiction of the corrupt state of Denmark and
Hamlet s all consuming pessimism by using the literary device of imagery. The word image englobes
any kind of simile; by using it, a poet or prose writer illustrates, illuminates and embellishes his
thought. Shakespeare is able to utilise this technique through various descriptions or ideas which
arouse emotions and associations in the mind of the reader. The images he uses are incredibly rich and
vivid that in they have the ability to form a different world for the audience. Shakespeare s choice of
metaphors and similes at any given moment in the play is determined by the dramatic issues arising
out of that moment. In the play, Shakespeare is able to accurately illustrate the corrupt state of
Denmark, as well as Hamlet s profound pessimism which corrupts his mind and soul. This is
accomplished through the technique of imagery, particularly pertaining to the motifs of death, disease
and decay.
In this play, the image of death is introduced from the very beginning, in Act I, once the Ghost of the
old king Hamlet appears. In the plot, once the ghost is introduced, its role is to inform Hamlet about a
secret murder. As Hamlet did not witness the murder, there was no need to feign madness.
Shakespeare s use of images related to both ghosts and madness intensify the central motif of

Allegory In Veidt s Watchmen Moore And Gibbons
In Watchmen, Moore and Gibbons have a few subplots branching off of the main story. One of these
subplots centers on a newsvendor in New York City. A boy sitting close by is reading a pirate comic
book, and as the story moves forward, various panels and pieces of text from this comic interposed
with the real storyline. In this passage of Watchmen Moore and Gibbons utilize the gritty allegory of
the Sea Captain in the Black Freighter to foreshadow the ending of the graphic novel and to give the
reader more insight to the question raised throughout the entire story: Who watches the Watchmen?
On page nine of chapter five, the first thing the reader sees is the other comic in the Watchmen s
universe, the Black Freighter. The overarching plot ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is one of the key themes from Watchmen. The Watchmen, who use their time and effort attacking
people who they believe to be the cause of the recent murders, make hasty determinations of
culpability and impose their vigilante execution without any foresight were doomed to make mistakes.
And, in defending the innocents, this raises the questions: how many mistakes will be tolerated before
one is considered villainous? How many innocent civilians can one harm without becoming the very
monster being fought against? Moore and Gibbons were using the Watchmen not as a case for the
necessity for people to take justice upon themselves but to show the idea that vigilantes are essentially
destined to turn into the villains they fight against. The main story is the example of the message
contained within the Tales of the Black

There s no doubt that Star Wars is one of the most impactful films of all time, having changed the
movie making game ever since it premiered in 1977. It quickly became a global phenomenon and has
accumulated some of the most passionate fans in the universe. Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope is a

Science fiction is broadly defined as a film about the future or alternate realities, often but not always
set in space, and frequently incorporating horror elements, science fiction movies are wildly popular
among fans (Goodykoontz, 2014). As a subgenre of fantasy, science fiction enables viewers to relate
to themes from an idealized alternative version of reality (Edwards, 2014). Star Wars: Episode IV A
New Hope is a feature length film that fits this genre perfectly. Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope
unfolds as princess named Leia is held hostage by the evil Imperial forces in their effort to quell the
rebellion against the Galactic Empire. Luke Skywalker and a smuggler named Han Solo team together
with the lovable droid duo, R2 D2 and C 3PO, to rescue the beautiful princess and restore justice in

Cause And Effect Of Pollution
The earth is 4.543 billion years old. Our ancestors have been estimated to date back to six million
years, with modern human life dating to 200,000 years ago (Reed). The effects of humanity on earth
can be exhibited by the increase of pollution within our world. As our population begins to grow, so
does our carbon footprint upon the earth. On a more localized scale, the Central Valley is a mecca to
poor air quality and elevating pollution levels. An assortment of environmental factors increases
pollution levels. The central Valley is a mecca for the climate, natural, industrial, mobile and
agricultural components that equate to this growing problem.
Pollution, otherwise known as PM, or particulate matter, is essentially any substance that is not made
up of water. PM is most commonly made of dust, ash, smoke, fumes, vapors and mists, emitted from a
source and absorbed into the ozone. Particulate matter that is emitted directly from a source, is called
primary PM. Particulate matter that is formed in the atmosphere by gas is called secondary PM. There
are two certified health based standards classifying particulate matter: PM10, for particles smaller than
10 microns, and PM2.5, for particles smaller than 2.5. PM10 is made up of course dust particles.
Common PM10 sources include: crushing or grinding operations, as well as soil stirred up in our
valley s vast fields, or dirt roads. PM2.5 is composed of finer particles. Elements most commonly
produced by combustion, motor

John Winthrop A Model Of Christian Charity Analysis
In 1630, Puritan leader John Winthrop delivered perhaps the most famous sermon in American history
entitled A Model of Christian Charity, in which he stressed to his fellow Puritans to adopt a sense of
unity by setting aside self interest for the sake of the community (Cohen, 2). Winthrop s idea of
putting community first has played a major role in American history, but as Winthrop probably knew
would happen, his idea of unity has always been at odds with those of self interest; as America is very
much a history of these competing forces. The forces of those willing to put aside their own interest
for unity, the common good, and for the preservation of the Union vs. those who have pursued their
own selfish ways. This paper will offer insights into how Winthrop s remarks have played out during
the first half of American history by examining certain individuals and events that have followed
along with Winthrop s idea, or those who have posed a challenge to it. Twenty three years before
Winthrop gave his sermon conflict over self interest vs. the common good was being played out in
Jamestown. Jamestown had been established in 1607 as a purely economic venture as Englishmen
traveled to the New World in pursuit of riches, following in the footsteps of the Spanish. These men
were consumed with their own self interest of finding gold and becoming rich as opposed to working
for the betterment of the colony, causing Jamestown to teeter on the edge of extinction for nearly a

Running Head: Time Cost, Task Switching, Repeating Tasks
Task Switching Cost s Time

Abstract
A replication of Task Switching Monsell 2003 experiment was done, which predicts a time cost when
switching tasks. 18 participants had to complete 100 randomized trials, switching between task repeat
and task switching trials. Reaction Times (RT) were recorded and reflected by experimenters, to
determine that there is a time cost involved when switching tasks as opposed to repeating the same
task.

When switching between tasks our brain goes between two different programs one for example for
counting and one for reading, therefore costing us time to switch between these two tasks. In this
experiment we tried to replicate the Monsell 2003 Task Switching experiment. 18 Participants took a
brief task switching test via program Revolution Maker . Each trial was randomly assigned. The
participants were presented with numbers one through nine and on each trial had to react to the
number, to identify either its odd or even or if the magnitude was either less than 5 or more than 5. We
hypothesis that when individuals are engaged in a cognitive task there is a time cost that occurs when
asked to switch between tasks as opposed to repeating tasks.

Hrududu In Watership Down
In the novel Watership Down by Richard Adams, the lapine vocabulary is used as the language
between the rabbits. For instance the word Flayrah is used to mean unusually good for, e.g. lettuce.
This is important to the plot because it plays into what the rabbits will do for Flayrah. Also it
differentiates between food that is mediocre and food that s worth venturing into human land and
fighting for. Well, the man s gone by and Cowslip and I thought the flayrah ought not to lie about for
long. If we don t go and get it the rats and rooks come and I don t like fighting rats. (Adams pg 83)
Next the word Frith represents the sun personified as a god. It is important to the plot because it s used
by the rabbits for exclamatory remarks. In addition the word Hraka means rabbit droppings or excreta.

to mean noon. This word is important to the plot because it helps with the comprehension of time and
how that affects the rabbit s journey and plans. Next the word Owsla is used to mean the strongest
rabbits in a warren, the ruling clique. This is important to the plot because these are the most feared of
the bunch, they act as the police and every rabbit in the owsla know their place with them. Also,
Silflay is used to show going above ground to feed outside. This is important to the plot because it

Importance Of Learning Computers
What is a computer and why it is essential to learn about computers today?
A computer can be defined as a machine that manipulates data according to a list of instructions
(Oxford). According to Webster dictionary a computer is defined as a programmable usually electronic
device that can store, retrieve, and process data (Merriam Webster). Whether it be a laptop, desk top,
tablet or phone, it is essential to learn about computers in order to function in the 21st century.
Computers are found everywhere in society. They make locating and processing data much easier and
efficient. Computers allow entities such as hospitals or businesses to process information rapidly with
the click of a button. Computers allow information to be transferred from one city to another in an
instant. The internet, phone, watch, printer and even some homecare are all run by a computer.
If someone in today s society does not understand how to operate the computer they more than likely
will not be able to maintain a job, or even complete basic functions within our society. Computers are
essential items in today s culture and used worldwide as a tool for effective communication and
processing of data.
Health Care Technology
Computers and health care have worked hand in hand for many years but within the last 10 years the
increase in the use of computer technology has catapulted healthcare into the 21st century. The use of
smartphones and tablets have somehow replaced the old

Race Theory Of Race And Racism
Theories of race and racism have been used by sociologists to not only describe modern societies but
also address issues of social injustice and achieve an end to racial oppression. Critical race theory is
one of the most widely used for this purpose and provides the structure employed by Dwanna
Robertson in her analysis of racism against Native Americans and the consequences they have
experienced as a result. She uses the term legitimized racism to discuss the racialization of American
Indians. By classifying Indians as evil and less than human, whites felt justified in using cruelty
against them in order to appropriate their land and resources during the settlement of the Americas. As
a result of this, the part Native Americans play is both pivotal and foundational in the economic and
internal socio racial reality of the United States. Their social and economic inequality is often blamed
on a culture of alcoholism, individual laziness, and rural living while the fact that they are subject to
racial oppression is ignored.
Using an Indigenous epistemology and a qualitative approach, the author studied what she termed the
act of legitimized racism. She analyzed its influence and, through interviews, collected narratives of
those who had confronted legitimized racism. These interviews were with forty five Indigenous people
over the age of eighteen from twenty nine distinct tribes between June 2009 and May 2013. As the
participants needed to identify ethnically as

Gospel Of Luke-Acts Essay
Luke s Gospel is known to be the last synoptic to be written. Since Luke introduced Acts, it is crucial
to date Acts before a date for Luke can be determined. Luke leaves the reader with Paul in Rome,
waiting to present his case before Caesar. Acts had been completed long before Paul s outcome was
known, this means that Acts came about in the early sixties with the Gospel of Luke being written in
the late fifties or early sixties. Luke Acts doesn t mention the destruction of Jerusalem, which is why
there are uncertainty of where Christianity fits in amongst the religions of the Roman Empire, and the
uncertainty of Jew Gentile relations at the same level as in Paul s epistles. Because of the location, it is
agreed that Luke Acts was not written ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Liberation theology and Historical criticism are quite different in that of liberation theology looks at
the idea of the poor and suffering, where Historical criticism teaches us about the background of how
the Gospel of Luke came about. The strengths of Liberation theology are that it holds a poor
perspective which teaches us about how Jesus had a heart for the poor and suffering, for Historical
criticism the strengths are how it teaches us about who look Luke is a person and the purpose he had
in writing the Gospel. The weaknesses of the methods I used was that because both were so different
they had different purposes on interpreting the Gospel of Luke. The implications arising from my
analysis is that people have different way of interpreting the Gospel, so that for them it can give them
a better understanding of the purpose that is set and how it relates to their everyday lives. It shows
how throughout the Gospel Jesus is shown as a helper and how the parables have meaning to them.
The Gospel of Luke teaches us about life, and how Jesus had helped so many, and how we can follow

Flaws Of The Education System
Flaws in our Education Brent Staples wrote Why Colleges Shower Their Students with A s to show
the flaws in the education system with teachers giving unfair grades to students. Similarly, William
Zinsser wrote College Pressures to show how colleges are putting unnecessary stress on their students.
While it is important to draw attention to these problems, it is also necessary to find solutions as well.
Bringing the issues to the public knowledge is only the first step in correcting our flawed education
system. There are certain classes that are more common than others, specifically regarding the general
education classes such as English and math courses. However colleges also offer less common classes
that certain students may have an interest in. The problem with these smaller classes is that with the
poor attendance records, the classes could be cancelled as the college sees it as a waste of money; this
is one of many reasons why professors give out unearned A s (Staples 329). To fix this problem,
colleges should look not at the attendance sheet, but instead the overall GPA s of the students in the
class. This not only will show if the students who are going to the class are learning and
comprehending the material, but also can compare to the more popular classes with higher attendance
that may not have as good of grades. Another solution would be giving the class time to grow popular.
If a professor is teaching a new class for the

We as Americans have seen shows such as Jersey shores, and Growing up Gotti , and believe that all
Italians act and look that way. In reality Italians from the southern part of Italy tend to tan faster
because they are closer to the equator which makes a lot of sense. The media has made it seem like all
Italians are tan and it s normal for them to look the way that they do. This stereotype has some truth to
it but not all Italians are this way.
These stereotypes that have been associated with Italian culture aren t true but not completely false.
This goes to show us that we can t always believe what we are being told about different cultures. The
media is a huge factor in why these stereotypes have been associated with Italy.
One of the biggest roadblocks to successful intercultural communication with Italians is how Italians
communicate with nonverbal actions in casual conversation. A few of the nonverbal actions include
personal space, touching, eye contact, and certain gestures. First of all, Italians do not believe in
personal space because it is viewed as a sign of affection or friendship to be in close proximity of one
another, according to a cultural portfolio created by DePauw University. This differs from American
culture greatly. Americans tend to require more personal space. For example, if two strangers are
having a casual conversation, and one of them gets too close to the other, space is being invaded and
they will feel as if the first person is in their face and will try to back

Videoconferencing eliminates the barriers of business communication and enables employees in

A Car In NASCAR
If you have ever wondered how the cars in NASCAR are so fast, it s the tech that is in them. In every
NASCAR race car, is a piece of machinery that has been worked on for hours. Mechanics of every
NASCAR team work for hundreds of hours building engines, making adjustments, building the roll
cage, and getting stock parts. The cars are worked on throughout the entire week, because the crews
have to go through the car and see if they had missed anything that they were supposed to fix or
adjust. If they don t do that, the driver will talk about how the car is running and feeling. The cars are
modified to be able to run on the tracks that they are going to run on. Most of these cars need a lot of
adjustments to they run perfectly without any problems. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The engines in the racecars of NASCAR are way more different. They have more horsepower, more
torque, and a lot more power. According to popularmechanics.com, the engines in Nascar Sprint Cup
cars are 90 degree pushrod V8s, just like those that have powered many vehicles on American roads
for more than 50 years. But today, the engine under Jimmie Johnson s hood is a custom made 850 hp
358 cubic inch thoroughbred that s optimized to run flat out for no more than 1000 miles. See most
street car engines have about 400 to 500 horsepower. Engines in NASCAR have different valve trains,
engine blocks, and a different lubrication system. Those make the engines more powerful. The tires in
NASCAR are also very different. For one thing, the tires are filled with nitrogen instead of air. That
makes the tire wider, and much more harder to pop. They also have a treadless design on them so they
get more grip on a dryer track. If they raced on wet tracks, the tires won t get traction from the track
and will spin out. That is why NASCAR stops the races if it rains. So even if the engines don t really
evolve, they still may run on them, but most teams make new engines before every

Implementation And Feedback Systems ( Maclay, 2015 )
Development in practice: why projects fail and how to address these failures
During the last decades, the way Development is managed and how it addresses problems have
evolved. As conventional approaches failed to meet objectives, successive actions have tried to make
development practice more efficient and participatory. Nonetheless, difficulties persist, with an
increasing trade off between achieving equity through participation and the efficiency of
managerialism. Linear, pre designed implementation models like the blueprint are still the main
approaches to put theory into practice (Maclay, 2015).
In this context and in line with the material studied in the course, I will argue that development
projects face three types of problems: operational, cognitive and power. To enhance project
effectiveness, these call for different complementary solutions: more flexibility in implementation and
feedback systems (Maclay, 2015); a balance between participation and top down authority with
increased accountability (Brett, 2003); and the empowerment of the local considering the political
context (Andrews et al., 2013; Mohan and Stokke, 2000).
To be sure, these strategies are no panacea. Nonetheless, they can help overcome some glaring failures
in the current approaches, while any new problem should be analysed in an iterative problem solving
process through learning systems that could help design better measures in the future. Additionally, for
these measures to succeed, there is a

Summary Of The Conversion Of Saint Paul
The Conversion of Saint Paul The conversion of Saint Paul is a painting by Benvenuto Tisi, called il
Garofalo; oil on panel, painted in 1525. The painting unframed is 31 inches tall and 42 inches wide.
The frame of the painting is rectangle in shape and does not appear to have been created from one
solid piece of material. The outer end of the frame has grooves and the inner part seems as if it is made
from many tiny pieces held together or fitted together like a puzzle. The frame is a shiny, golden,
brassy color, which balances the colors of the paining. This painting brings to life one of the most
specular phenomenon that occurs after the death of Christ and during the persecution of the new
Christians or new believers in the church. Saul was on his way to Damascus to capture Christians
when he encounters Christ. This one miraculous visitation from Christ transformed Saul to not only
change his way of thinking about Christ, but this awakening encounter and Saul s subsequent healing,
immediately convinced Saul to stopped persecuting the believer, converted to Christianity, and change

miraculous transformation. It has been stated that the actual painting was in poor condition when it
arrived at the Yale University Art Galleria studio. It was covered in yellow varnish and showed signs
of flaking and cracking. Not only was the painting in poor condition when it

This not only applies to farm equipment, but to technology at large. The same problems that farmers
face with programmers face in their Internet connected devices, motorists have in their new tech savvy
cars, and gamers face in their recently broken gaming consoles. The repair monopoly is huge because
of the lack of regulation and is resulting in larger companies stifling smaller business, therefore
reducing competition, driving up the price of repair in general, and killing local jobs.
This calls into question some basic ideas of property. When you a buy a product, is it really yours?
According to many companies, including Apple, John Deere, and Sony, it really isn t. You re really
just purchasing a license to use a product and how you use it is entirely up to the OEM. This question
of where and how a consumer should repair a device should not be answered by the OEM.
This further creates a culture of obselesence. In cases where it would cost more to repair a device
rather than to buy a new one, the latter is chosen. This can have unintended consequences for the
environment through electronic waste, or e waste. The purposefully short lifespan of technology
heavily contributes to this and a culture of repairing would properly address this.

My solution includes legislation that would ensure that

Arthritis Personal Statement
During my junior year of high school, I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Arthritis walk in
Philadelphia. Volunteering at the event allowed me to gain deeper intellectual engagement and also
influenced my future career. At the event, I had the opportunity to meet several people who suffered
with Arthritis. When observing the many effects that Arthritis had on people it widened my eyes to the
lack of healthcare in society. By the end of the day a lightbulb went off in my head and I knew for sure
that I wanted a career in medicine. I was certain that a career in health services was for me because
each person with arthritis warmed my heart and my mind began wondering about endless ways to
better their situation. Since I was a young girl I was sensitive, caring, and always trying to find a way
to help someone out of a bad situation. There are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Careers in the medical field will allow me to experience a life I never had, but always dreamed of. I
will finally be able to support my family financially without struggling and I will be able to say I am
the first doctor in my family. That alone is enough to prove to myself that I actually made it. While the
arthritis walk made it obvious to me that I was passionate about working in the medical field I wasn t
really sure about the field of medicine I wanted to specialize in. I was unsure about the field of
medicine I wanted to specialize in until last year. Last year I was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis,
which is an autoimmune neuromuscular disease that causes the fluctuating of muscle weakness and
fatigue. Muscle weakness makes it difficult for patients to chew, talk, swallow, breathe, and control
eye and facial movements. As of now, there is not a cure for this disease, but there are treatments.
Some ways to treat Myasthenia Gravis are immunosuppressants, plasmapheresis, and the removal of
the thymus gland. Suffering from Myasthenia Gravis has made me realize that after

Gender Stereotypes In Disney Films
Discussion In the current study, we sought to analyze the portrayal of gender stereotypical behaviors
in Disney films. We developed this study based on previous findings from Kirsch and Murnen (2013),
(Junn,1997), and Leaper et al (2002) and because of the potential implications of Disney s portrayal of
gender stereotypes in their films. We developed two hypotheses to test this. First, we hypothesized that
male characters would exhibit masculine stereotypical behaviors such as giving orders and being
aggressive, more often than feminine stereotypical behaviors and women would display feminine
stereotypical behaviors such as performing domestic duties and primping, more often than masculine
stereotypical behaviors in Disney movies. Second, we hypothesized that women would have more
fluidity in these Disney films, meaning they are more likely to exhibit masculine stereotypical
behaviors as compared to males demonstrating feminine stereotypical behaviors. According to our
results, we failed to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We observed a total of 487 instances of male stereotypical behavior, but only 77 instances of female
stereotypical behaviors. This leads into the final and perhaps the largest limitation of our study, which
was the limited sample size which could have potentially increased the amount of female stereotypical
behaviors observed and made it clearer which gender was more likely to exhibit them. We only
watched 5 of the over 150 Disney produced films and thus perhaps our results are by chance. If we
increased our sample size, then we might have increased our chances of finding gender stereotypical
behaviors, as has been discovered in many studies. Our study may have possessed other limitations as
well, but our results could be supported or not supported by future

First Decade Of The 1900s
What do you see as the most serious problem in the first decade of the 1900s? In the first decade of the
1900s, I think the most serious problem was the high levels of poverty among the American people
(Barnes Bowles, 2014). Though there was racial, discrimination that time, it is evident that the
Americans discriminated each other in through the industrial capitalist power. Why was this problem
more serious than the other problems? The working conditions that time were extreme. The working
environments were unsafe; on the other hand, they were unsanitary ones. More often, they created
incidents that raised the public concerns (Barnes Bowles, 2014). Employers hired children and women
so that they can save by paying fewer wage. Individuals

The fall from Celestial was one way that could harm us otherwise there is no other way apart from
another angel or demon. A groan passed through my lips as I tried to move my bruised and scraped
body. My eyes opened to be burned by the glare of the sun, my skin burned from the UV rays. Not
something my body is used to. I pushed myself onto my hands as I looked around, nothing but trees
surrounded me. Dirt coated my body like another layer of skin. I smiled to myself, I made a hole in the
ground. I felt the ground rumble beneath my fingertips as my senses were exploding of the mass
number of werewolves were coming.
15 werewolves were coming to scope out what presence made it to their territory. Werewolves,
creatures that were created by the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I could read minds, only one at a time, but it took a lot of focus and it helped to have the bowl. My
body was in no condition to use its gifts I were blessed with. It was slowly regenerating. Taking the
fall is used like a punishment for angels who abuse their gift, they become one of the fallen, evil and
corrupted.
The Alpha waved his hand and the other scouts left leaving five wolves remaining. I was no major
threats but still unknown. He bent down to my height in the hole my body lay.
What happened to you? he asked softly
I couldn t lie, it was impossible or it would cause us great pain, a step to becoming a fallen.
I fell.
I can tell, he smiled along with the Beta.
Must have been one hell of a fall, the Beta commented.
I m no threat, I voiced.
That what a threat would say, a wolf piped.
The Alpha glanced at him.
Listen to my heartbeat to tell if I am lying, wolf. I am no threat to your pack. I spoke the truth.
His hazel eyes glanced back to me, I believe you.
I smiled in relief. Hopefully, I can save him from the evil coming.
Beta asked, can you get up?
I nodded, my head easier to move already, I just need to wait for my body to heal, should take half an
hour.
The Beta looked at me curiously and down, communicating with the Alpha sniffing the air.
You aren t human, the Alpha spoke.
No, I am not.
What are you? the Beta asked.
They cannot know about us, don t give them a straight answer. Since they asked an open question it is

The Cuban Missile Crisis Of 1962
The Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962 was the closest the world came to nuclear war. The Soviet Union
shipped nuclear missile to Cuba clandestinely and were discovered by the United States. While the
confrontation did not result in open nuclear warfare between the US and USSR, the US Intelligence
Community (IC) was taken by surprise. How did the IC not notice the buildup of Soviet nuclear
weapons in Cuba? The information was there despite the best Russian denial and deception attempts.
The United States intelligence and military analysts allowed themselves to be deceived by the
Russians because they did not anticipate the Russians would station nuclear weapons outside the
Soviet Union. A closer look will show why the Russian deception worked for so long and why the US
was forced to react quickly to a crisis that could have easily spiraled into nuclear war. In October of
1962, a US U 2 reconnaissance flight over Cuba yielded photographic evidence that the Soviet Union
had installed medium and intermediate range ballistic missiles. President Kennedy over the next
thirteen days frantically tried to get the missiles removed without a war. President Kennedy went with
his Executive Committee working group and set up a naval quarantine of Cuba and gave Soviet
Premier Khrushchev a deadline for removing the missiles. After six days of diplomatic overtures and
increased military tensions, the Soviet Union withdrew the missiles. President Kennedy agreed to
respect the Castro

What Is The Character Of George Eliot sThe Mill On The Floss
Throughout The Mill on the Floss, George Eliot embodies the struggle between following one s
temperament and containing one s natural tendencies in the character of Maggie Tulliver. As the novel
follows her coming of age, Maggie grows from being an impulsive, dreamy child to a young woman
who struggles with subduing her passions. In containing her personality, Maggie struggles internally;
and this containment further manifests in her hair, one of her most noteworthy features. Unruly in her
childhood, her hair becomes continually contained as Maggie subdues more of her natural personality.
Yet, Maggie s unruly hair, along with her rash persona, returns in the final chapter of the novel.
Ultimately, following this struggle of subduing natural temperament, manifested in the presentation of
Maggie s hair, suggests that quelling one s natural personality is as dangerous as never controlling one
s temperament. In chronicling Maggie s childhood, Eliot highlights the rash and dreamy qualities that
dominate Maggie s personality. Rather than be the neatest little rosebud like her cousin Lucy, Maggie
is more unruly and this leads her maternal aunts to view her with a critical eye, especially in regards to
her unkempt hair (Eliot 58). It is this critique of her hair that spurs Maggie to demonstrate her
impulsive streak as she decides to cut her hair. Once Maggie realizes the haphazardness of her
handiwork, the narrator states, Maggie rushed to her deeds with passionate impulse, and

Aristotle lays down groundwork of a tragic hero as being essentially good. They are neither villain nor saint because they have flaws. Several elememts are nevcesary to have a tragic hero, they are the tragic flaw, the reversal, recognition, and hubris. These generally make up the story of the tragic hero, and in the case of Jocasta, the wife and mother of Oedipus in Sophocles Oedipus the King, she posses all three. Yet she is not truly considered a tragic hero, but a tragic character by many. However seeing as it is the character of Jocasta that sets the story in motion, and she posses the qualities in a ... She respects the gods, but not the oracles. She tries to lead Oedipus to adopt this standpoint as well, telling him of the prophecy told to Laius and herself, and how that prophecy did not come to pass. After telling Oedipus that he need not worry about the words of a prophet she tells him, Whatever the god needs and seeks he ll bring to light himself, with ease. (Sophocles line 799 800). Later she goes to Apollo s temple and asks for his guidance, saying that they are in the grip of fear, beseeching his help for Oedipus and saying, I come with prayers and offerings...I beg you, cleanse us, set us free of defilement! (Sophocles line 1009 1010). She does not yet realize that the defilement cannot be cleansed. Hubris Her only flaw is disregard for the prophets; she never disregards the gods themselves. Her disbelief in them is sound, and she maintains her belief in the gods. In this way it is hubris, her overwhelming pride or belief that she thwarted the earlier prophecy. It is still this flaw which is a part of her tragic downfall. The Reversal Peripetia, or the reversal, is another element of the tragic hero. • 8. Reflection On Borderline Personality Disorder Reflection Number Three Over the past few units, I have greatly expanded my knowledge about several different psychological topics. Though many of the topics that were discussed sparked my interest, there were two types of disorders that furthered my knowledge, but also eliminated some stereotypes that I had about them. The two main areas that I learned more about regarding these disorders were characteristics of the disorders and different methods of treatment. A common theme that has been discussed in multiple different units is that several psychological disorders can have similar symptoms and characteristics. It is crucial to understand what makes one psychological disorder different than another one. Determining what type of disorders an individual might have can lead to better and more accurate treatment options; treatments methods are important because they help individuals manage their disorders. The two disorders that I found to be the most important and most interesting are borderline personality disorder and schizophrenia. Borderline personality disorder is associated with a variety of different components and symptoms. The two main areas that borderline personality disorder is related to are moods and relationships; both of these areas tend to be quite unstable. The element about borderline personality disorder that I was not aware of was the increased risk that they have of injury or even death by their own hands. It is a common stereotype that is depicted in the media that those with psychological disorders are always acting sporadically and causing harm. It was discussed in this unit that the main reason these individuals are risks to themselves is because of instability, dysfunction, and impulsivity. Though these elements may sound like they match what is portrayed in the media, there are deeper meanings behind them that can cause dangerous behaviors. Instability is associated with relationships; individuals with borderline personality disorder often have unstable relationships because of their lack of emotional control, which can then lead to a constant fear of abandonment. Dysfunction is associated with unstable emotions and is often a good predictor of potential suicidal thoughts and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. Theme Of Death In Hamlet In Hamlet, playwright William Shakespeare intertwines the primary motifs of death, disease, and decay into each scene of the play to create a distinct depiction of the corrupt state of Denmark and Hamlet s all consuming pessimism by using the literary device of imagery. The word image englobes any kind of simile; by using it, a poet or prose writer illustrates, illuminates and embellishes his thought. Shakespeare is able to utilise this technique through various descriptions or ideas which arouse emotions and associations in the mind of the reader. The images he uses are incredibly rich and vivid that in they have the ability to form a different world for the audience. Shakespeare s choice of metaphors and similes at any given moment in the play is determined by the dramatic issues arising out of that moment. In the play, Shakespeare is able to accurately illustrate the corrupt state of Denmark, as well as Hamlet s profound pessimism which corrupts his mind and soul. This is accomplished through the technique of imagery, particularly pertaining to the motifs of death, disease and decay. In this play, the image of death is introduced from the very beginning, in Act I, once the Ghost of the old king Hamlet appears. Winthrop s idea of putting community first has played a major role in American history, but as Winthrop probably knew would happen, his idea of unity has always been at odds with those of self interest; as America is very much a history of these competing forces. Critical race theory is one of the most widely used for this purpose and provides the structure employed by Dwanna Robertson in her analysis of racism against Native Americans and the consequences they have experienced as a result. She uses the term legitimized racism to discuss the racialization of American Indians. By classifying Indians as evil and less than human, whites felt justified in using cruelty against them in order to appropriate their land and resources during the settlement of the Americas. As a result of this, the part Native Americans play is both pivotal and foundational in the economic and internal socio racial reality of the United States. Their social and economic inequality is often blamed on a culture of alcoholism, individual laziness, and rural living while the fact that they are subject to racial oppression is ignored. Using an Indigenous epistemology and a qualitative approach, the author studied what she termed the act of legitimized racism. She analyzed its influence and, through interviews, collected narratives of those who had confronted legitimized racism. These interviews were with forty five Indigenous people over the age of eighteen from twenty nine distinct tribes between June 2009 and May 2013. Luke leaves the reader with Paul in Rome, waiting to present his case before Caesar. Acts had been completed long before Paul s outcome was known, this means that Acts came about in the early sixties with the Gospel of Luke being written in the late fifties or early sixties. • 28. Flaws Of The Education System Flaws in our Education Brent Staples wrote Why Colleges Shower Their Students with A s to show the flaws in the education system with teachers giving unfair grades to students. Similarly, William Zinsser wrote College Pressures to show how colleges are putting unnecessary stress on their students. While it is important to draw attention to these problems, it is also necessary to find solutions as well. Bringing the issues to the public knowledge is only the first step in correcting our flawed education system. There are certain classes that are more common than others, specifically regarding the general education classes such as English and math courses. However colleges also offer less common classes that certain students may have an interest in. The problem with these smaller classes is that with the poor attendance records, the classes could be cancelled as the college sees it as a waste of money; this is one of many reasons why professors give out unearned A s (Staples 329). To fix this problem, colleges should look not at the attendance sheet, but instead the overall GPA s of the students in the class. This not only will show if the students who are going to the class are learning and comprehending the material, but also can compare to the more popular classes with higher attendance that may not have as good of grades. Another solution would be giving the class time to grow popular. If a professor is teaching a new class for the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The cars are worked on throughout the entire week, because the crews have to go through the car and see if they had missed anything that they were supposed to fix or adjust. According to popularmechanics.com, the engines in Nascar Sprint Cup cars are 90 degree pushrod V8s, just like those that have powered many vehicles on American roads for more than 50 years. The tires in NASCAR are also very different. For one thing, the tires are filled with nitrogen instead of air. That makes the tire wider, and much more harder to pop. They also have a treadless design on them so they get more grip on a dryer track. If they raced on wet tracks, the tires won t get traction from the track and will spin out. • 36. Implementation And Feedback Systems ( Maclay, 2015 ) Development in practice: why projects fail and how to address these failures During the last decades, the way Development is managed and how it addresses problems have evolved. As conventional approaches failed to meet objectives, successive actions have tried to make development practice more efficient and participatory. Nonetheless, difficulties persist, with an increasing trade off between achieving equity through participation and the efficiency of managerialism. Linear, pre designed implementation models like the blueprint are still the main approaches to put theory into practice (Maclay, 2015). In this context and in line with the material studied in the course, I will argue that development projects face three types of problems: operational, cognitive and power. To enhance project effectiveness, these call for different complementary solutions: more flexibility in implementation and feedback systems (Maclay, 2015); a balance between participation and top down authority with increased accountability (Brett, 2003); and the empowerment of the local considering the political context (Andrews et al., 2013; Mohan and Stokke, 2000). To be sure, these strategies are no panacea. Nonetheless, they can help overcome some glaring failures in the current approaches, while any new problem should be analysed in an iterative problem solving process through learning systems that could help design better measures in the future. This leads into the final and perhaps the largest limitation of our study, which was the limited sample size which could have potentially increased the amount of female stereotypical behaviors observed and made it clearer which gender was more likely to exhibit them. We only watched 5 of the over 150 Disney produced films and thus perhaps our results are by chance. If we increased our sample size, then we might have increased our chances of finding gender stereotypical behaviors, as has been discovered in many studies. Our study may have possessed other limitations as well, but our results could be supported or not supported by future ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 45. First Decade Of The 1900s What do you see as the most serious problem in the first decade of the 1900s? In the first decade of the 1900s, I think the most serious problem was the high levels of poverty among the American people (Barnes Bowles, 2014). Though there was racial, discrimination that time, it is evident that the Americans discriminated each other in through the industrial capitalist power. Why was this problem more serious than the other problems? The working conditions that time were extreme. The working environments were unsafe; on the other hand, they were unsanitary ones. More often, they created incidents that raised the public concerns (Barnes Bowles, 2014). Employers hired children and women so that they can save by paying fewer wage. Individuals ... A groan passed through my lips as I tried to move my bruised and scraped body. My eyes opened to be burned by the glare of the sun, my skin burned from the UV rays. Not something my body is used to. I pushed myself onto my hands as I looked around, nothing but trees surrounded me. Dirt coated my body like another layer of skin. I smiled to myself, I made a hole in the ground. I felt the ground rumble beneath my fingertips as my senses were exploding of the mass number of werewolves were coming. 15 werewolves were coming to scope out what presence made it to their territory. Werewolves, creatures that were created by the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I could read minds, only one at a time, but it took a lot of focus and it helped to have the bowl. My body was in no condition to use its gifts I were blessed with. It was slowly regenerating. Taking the fall is used like a punishment for angels who abuse their gift, they become one of the fallen, evil and corrupted. The Alpha waved his hand and the other scouts left leaving five wolves remaining. I was no major threats but still unknown. He bent down to my height in the hole my body lay. What happened to you? he asked softly I couldn t lie, it was impossible or it would cause us great pain, a step to becoming a fallen. I nodded, my head easier to move already, I just need to wait for my body to heal, should take half an hour. The Beta looked at me curiously and down, communicating with the Alpha sniffing the air. You aren t human, the Alpha spoke. No, I am not. What are you? the Beta asked. • 47. The Cuban Missile Crisis Of 1962 The Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962 was the closest the world came to nuclear war. The Soviet Union shipped nuclear missile to Cuba clandestinely and were discovered by the United States. While the confrontation did not result in open nuclear warfare between the US and USSR, the US Intelligence Community (IC) was taken by surprise. How did the IC not notice the buildup of Soviet nuclear weapons in Cuba? The information was there despite the best Russian denial and deception attempts. The United States intelligence and military analysts allowed themselves to be deceived by the Russians because they did not anticipate the Russians would station nuclear weapons outside the Soviet Union. A closer look will show why the Russian deception worked for so long and why the US was forced to react quickly to a crisis that could have easily spiraled into nuclear war. In October of 1962, a US U 2 reconnaissance flight over Cuba yielded photographic evidence that the Soviet Union had installed medium and intermediate range ballistic missiles. President Kennedy over the next thirteen days frantically tried to get the missiles removed without a war. President Kennedy went with his Executive Committee working group and set up a naval quarantine of Cuba and gave Soviet Premier Khrushchev a deadline for removing the missiles. After six days of diplomatic overtures and increased military tensions, the Soviet Union withdrew the missiles. President Kennedy agreed to respect the Castro ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 48. What Is The Character Of George Eliot sThe Mill On The Floss Throughout The Mill on the Floss, George Eliot embodies the struggle between following one s temperament and containing one s natural tendencies in the character of Maggie Tulliver. As the novel follows her coming of age, Maggie grows from being an impulsive, dreamy child to a young woman who struggles with subduing her passions. In containing her personality, Maggie struggles internally; and this containment further manifests in her hair, one of her most noteworthy features. Unruly in her childhood, her hair becomes continually contained as Maggie subdues more of her natural personality. Yet, Maggie s unruly hair, along with her rash persona, returns in the final chapter of the novel. Ultimately, following this struggle of subduing natural temperament, manifested in the presentation of Maggie s hair, suggests that quelling one s natural personality is as dangerous as never controlling one s temperament. In chronicling Maggie s childhood, Eliot highlights the rash and dreamy qualities that dominate Maggie s personality. Rather than be the neatest little rosebud like her cousin Lucy, Maggie is more unruly and this leads her maternal aunts to view her with a critical eye, especially in regards to her unkempt hair (Eliot 58). It is this critique of her hair that spurs Maggie to demonstrate her impulsive streak as she decides to cut her hair. Once Maggie realizes the haphazardness of her handiwork, the narrator states, Maggie rushed to her deeds with passionate impulse, and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
