This document outlines the author's beliefs about teaching, learning, and technology. The author believes that 1) teaching is about translating curriculum into meaningful experiences and establishing procedures to allow students to learn independently, 2) teaching individual students where they are and helping them set goals, and 3) looking beyond the classroom to develop students' character. The author also believes that 1) learning needs to be challenging, engaging, and reflective, 2) students learn through interaction, collaboration, and applying knowledge, and 3) learning is not dependent on age or content. Finally, the author believes that 1) technology should be used as a tool to enhance instruction rather than a separate subject, and 2) technology is naturally part of
