  Teaching Learning Technology
I believe



Teaching is the ability to translate curriculum into
meaningful experiences, set up the environment and
establish management procedures to allow for each student
to step forward independently.
I believe
Teaching is knowing enough about each individual to be
able to meet them where they are, and help them to set
their own goals for learning.
I believe




Teaching is looking beyond the classroom and into the
world beyond. Considering the skills and attitudes that make
a good person, exposing the children to these attributes and
challenging them to want to become better people.
I believe



Teaching is knowing when to get out of the way, release
control and allow students to discover for themselves.
I believe



Learning needs to be challenging, meaningful, purposeful
engaging and reflective.
I believe



Students learn from talking and writing about their
experiences, and applying what they have learned in
authentic project based activities.
I believe



Students learn from personal interaction with their
surroundings, and by collaborating and interacting with
peers.
I believe



Learning should not be dependent on chronological age or
curriculum content.
I believe



Technology is exciting, frustrating and challenging.
I believe



Without the proper structure, technology will not go beyond
busy work and skill practicing.
I believe



Technology should not be taught as a separate subject but
used as a tool to facilitate and enhance instruction in other
content areas.
I believe



Technology is a natural part of our students lives and as
such, should be a natural part of their time at school.
