 It is a function in organizations designed
to maximize employee performance in

who don’t meet the
required qualification

future-fit persons
should be selected.
Employee selection process takes following steps:
1) Identification of Vacancy and Need:
Whether new position is required to be created or
replacement of an old one.
2) Develop Position Description:
Identify position purpose, essential job functions,
minimum requirement, preferred qualification etc.
3) Develop Recruitment Plan:
Planning about
 Placement goals,
 Posting period,
 Advertising resources,
 Resume Banks etc.
4) Recruitment Process:
Recruitment process involves
 Selecting appropriate selection committee,
 Short-listing,
 Conducting written tests,
 Conducting final interview.
Employee management is the management
of subordinates/staff in an organization.
Often, large organizations have many of
these functions performed by a specialist
department, such as Personnel or Human
Resources Department.
It involves:
 Making policies and
procedures,
 Training employees,
 Payroll management,
 Setting standards and
rules,
 Evaluating the
performance
of employees,
 Conflict resolution etc.
 Employee motivation is the level of
energy, commitment, and creativity that a
company's workers bring to their jobs.
 Whether the economy is growing or
shrinking, finding ways to motivate
employees is always a management
concern.

An organization with an aligned workforce has:
a) the right types of people,
b) in the right places,
c) at the right times,
d) doing the right things,
e) in a right way.
 Able to deliver better services and solutions.
 Performance is increased.
 Good reputation.

 Better satisfaction of customers and clients.
 Better environment of organization.
Adventurous Trips:
Some companies like TIENS & IKEW offer
adventurous trips to foreign countries on the basis
of performance to motivate employees.
Drinking on the job:
Most firms punish drinking on the job but
numerous Silicon Valley and San Francisco firms
now offer beer and wine to their employees.
Rather than having to go out after work to drink
and collaborate, they can do it in the workplace. It
has a huge impact on their annual turnover.

  • 4. Human resources is a set of individuals who make up the workforce of an organization, business sector, or economy.
  • 5.  It is a function in organizations designed to maximize employee performance in service of an employer's strategic objectives.  HR is primarily concerned with the management of people within organizations, focusing on policies and on systems.
  • 7. While selecting people for job, those who don’t meet the required qualification criteria should not be selected. Only job-fit, Organization-fit and future-fit persons should be selected.
  • 8. Employee selection process takes following steps: 1) Identification of Vacancy and Need: Whether new position is required to be created or replacement of an old one. 2) Develop Position Description: Identify position purpose, essential job functions, minimum requirement, preferred qualification etc.
  • 9. 3) Develop Recruitment Plan: Planning about  Placement goals,  Posting period,  Advertising resources,  Resume Banks etc. 4) Recruitment Process: Recruitment process involves  Selecting appropriate selection committee,  Short-listing,  Conducting written tests,  Conducting final interview.
  • 10. Employee management is the management of subordinates/staff in an organization. Often, large organizations have many of these functions performed by a specialist department, such as Personnel or Human Resources Department.
  • 11. It involves:  Making policies and procedures,  Training employees,  Payroll management,  Setting standards and rules,  Evaluating the performance of employees,  Conflict resolution etc.
  • 12.  Employee motivation is the level of energy, commitment, and creativity that a company's workers bring to their jobs.  Whether the economy is growing or shrinking, finding ways to motivate employees is always a management concern.

  • 15. An organization with an aligned workforce has: a) the right types of people, b) in the right places, c) at the right times, d) doing the right things, e) in a right way.
  • 16.  Able to deliver better services and solutions.  Performance is increased.  Good reputation.  Able to capture high market share.  Better satisfaction of customers and clients.  Better environment of organization.
  • 17. Adventurous Trips: Some companies like TIENS & IKEW offer adventurous trips to foreign countries on the basis of performance to motivate employees. Drinking on the job: Most firms punish drinking on the job but numerous Silicon Valley and San Francisco firms now offer beer and wine to their employees. Rather than having to go out after work to drink and collaborate, they can do it in the workplace. It has a huge impact on their annual turnover.
