HOW WE USED THE INTERNET
TO HELP US WITH OUR
RESEARCH AND PLANNING.
 On our blog we have analysed a different selection of
music videos which helped us look at conventions we
adapted to fit into our video, we did this so we could
see how to create something similar and to see how
our genre stands out in comparison to other genres
and how to use techniques that reflect and fit into
our genre of music.
 Without the internet we would not have been able to
see these videos and take inspiration from existing
professional material.
RESEARCHING EXISTING VIDEOS
 In addition we have analysed professional digipaks
and posters and researched conventions that are
used which have given us ideas and saved us time as
we were able to plan what we were going to do
effectively and create an expect look.
 The internet has a huge range to different cd covers
and allcdcovers.com helped us access digipaks that
were suited to our genre and gave us inspiration.
RESEARCHING EXISTING DIGIPAKS AND
POSTERS
 We also used the internet with initial research to choose a
genre we were familiar with and a genre which would result in
the highest quality of work, it was important to us then to
choose the indie genre it is all about creativity and
RESEARCH INTO THE INDIE GENRE
 We used the internet to research different ideas we could
input into our digipak and poster we then decided to create a
cartoon and found various different styles on the internet
which helped us narrow it down to two styles which saved us
time and gave us the best two styles to experiment with.
RESEARCH HOW TO CREATE DIFFERENT
STYLES OF CARTOONS
 I used the internet to help a lot with questionnaires. Survey
monkey allowed me to send out a single questionnaire to my
whole school, which saved me so much time and attain great
results.
 The questionnaires I asked contributed to the content I put in
each of my products for example, our questionnaire on CD
covers allowed us to choose to put an image of the artist on
the front instead of the cartoon image we produced as more
people enjoyed seeing the artist on the front cover of their
album.

 Lastly, we used the internet to help us to pick and then
research the lyrics of a song which helped us to understand
the meaning of the song which gave us ideas for our video.
 We also used the internet to google key words in the song to
get a visual representation of what the words meant to give us
some inspiration.

How we used the internet to help us q4 p1

  • 1. Question 4: part 1 HOW WE USED THE INTERNET TO HELP US WITH OUR RESEARCH AND PLANNING.
  • 2.  On our blog we have analysed a different selection of music videos which helped us look at conventions we adapted to fit into our video, we did this so we could see how to create something similar and to see how our genre stands out in comparison to other genres and how to use techniques that reflect and fit into our genre of music.  Without the internet we would not have been able to see these videos and take inspiration from existing professional material.   • 3.  In addition we have analysed professional digipaks and posters and researched conventions that are used which have given us ideas and saved us time as we were able to plan what we were going to do effectively and create an expect look.  The internet has a huge range to different cd covers and allcdcovers.com helped us access digipaks that were suited to our genre and gave us inspiration. RESEARCHING EXISTING DIGIPAKS AND POSTERS
  • 4.  We also used the internet with initial research to choose a genre we were familiar with and a genre which would result in the highest quality of work, it was important to us then to choose the indie genre it is all about creativity and RESEARCH INTO THE INDIE GENRE
  • 5.  We used the internet to research different ideas we could input into our digipak and poster we then decided to create a cartoon and found various different styles on the internet which helped us narrow it down to two styles which saved us time and gave us the best two styles to experiment with. RESEARCH HOW TO CREATE DIFFERENT STYLES OF CARTOONS
  • 6.  I used the internet to help a lot with questionnaires. Survey monkey allowed me to send out a single questionnaire to my whole school, which saved me so much time and attain great results.  The questionnaires I asked contributed to the content I put in each of my products for example, our questionnaire on CD covers allowed us to choose to put an image of the artist on the front instead of the cartoon image we produced as more people enjoyed seeing the artist on the front cover of their album. QUESTIONNAIRES This was the most popular front cover This was the second most popular which is why we chose to put some art on the inside cover
  • 7.  Lastly, we used the internet to help us to pick and then research the lyrics of a song which helped us to understand the meaning of the song which gave us ideas for our video.  We also used the internet to google key words in the song to get a visual representation of what the words meant to give us some inspiration.
