Social Issues In The Lotus Eaters By Tennyson
Besides captivating readers through the retelling of past events, Tennyson used his poetry to consider
social issues of the Victorian era. However, unlike his rival Elizabeth Barrett Browning, he never
outright proclaimed his stance. Alternatively, Tennyson s poems rely on an active participation from
the reader to provide them with meaning. Instead of telling the reader what to believe, Tennyson s
mission was to encourage discussion about Victorian social issues. Similarly, in his poem, The Lotus
Eaters, Tennyson explores ideas about the unabashed use of opium, the Victorian obsession with
progress, and industrial advancement.
Opium maintained an unavoidable presence in Victorian society. As prevalent as Aspirin today, opium
was the pain killer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Pulling yourself up by your bootstraps was a common epithet for the period. The poem depicts the
mariner s resistance to advancing their lives as an undesirable quality. Blight and famine, plague and
earthquake... But they smile shows that they are committed to laziness despite what could negatively
occur (lines 160 162). The discomfort the reader feels because of their utter indifference to atrocities,
serves to highlight that apathy can have disastrous consequences. This ideal of a commitment to
working hard to improve yourself, would have resonated with the Victorian readership at the time.
Because upward social mobility was an increasingly important part of the Victorian era, people for the
first time believed that they had control over their own social standing and through hard work, could

Life in the Italy in the 1930s
Life in Italy in the 1930 s
Life in Italy in the 1930 s caused difficulty to some Italians during that time period. During the 1930 s
a large number of Italians who had opposed the fascist rule of Benito Mussolini arrived in the United
States. After the news spread in Italy about the bombing of Pearl Harbour almost all Italians supported
the war against Benito Mussolini. At this point, Italy was slowly becoming under the Nazi rule, the
significance of a woman s role in Italy was emphasised as they were expected to accept the fascist
ideology. Girls were expected to get married and conceive lots of children. Many young women in
Italy felt the pressures of politics that were dominated by men and felt that women s rights were

Abstract art started making inroads into the industry and artists like Salvador Dali and Kurt Schwitters
became famous for this time of art. Abstract art was disliked by Mussolini as this type of art was very
different and modern, it had its own identity however, Musslolini only accepted traditional religious
paintings to be a part of the Italian lifestyle. Artistic freedom was further restricted by Mussolini s
introduction of Fascist design and mass communication this included posters, radio and TV
commercials which stole numerous ideas from the fine arts and showed the public a distorted view of
this art phenomenom.
During the 1930 s the public began to feel the effects of the Great Depression, many designers were
restricted in experimenting with new fashions due to the fall in the economy and the rise in
employment. However, this difficult time period did not stop women from flocking to the shops to
enjoy the new fashion craze that was arising. Women were expected to wear clothing that was sombre
and modest, it reflecting the difficult social and economical situation of the decade. In Italy, women s
fashions moved away from the seductive and daring style of the 1920s towards more romantic,
feminine silhouette inspired fashion. Fashion was more significant during this time period in Italy

1997 Film Version Of The Odyssey
In the 1997 film version of The Odyssey the director made several changes from the book, including
characterization, settings, the order of events, and some events are removed or shortened. These
changes may have helped the movie move along faster, however the changes were not effective in
accurately portraying The Odyssey and giving the viewer a deep understanding of the characters and
their experiences. The way that Odysseus s crew is killed is changed in the film, the meeting with the
Phaiakians is cut short, as well as the meeting with Menelaos. Due to these events being cut short or
changed, the viewers did not get a good understanding of the characters that appear in these events,
and what their purpose is in helping the heroes of the

Goldfish Synthesis Essay
Discussion Report The change in temperature was effective in altering the breathing rates of the
goldfish. As the temperature decrease from 20 degrees to 10 degrees, the average number of
respiration also decreased from 106 to 44 breaths per minutes. The null hypothesis, that the change in
temperature has no effect on the respiration per minute of a goldfish. The null hypothesis can be
rejected because of the temperature of the water as a direct effect on the respirations of a goldfish. The
results give support for an alternative hypothesis. A goldfish is an ectotherm which means the fish s
body temperature depends mainly on the environmental temperature (White and Campo 2013).
However, there were many outside factors which made the experiment

Pros Of Kneeling During The Anthem
Pro of Kneeling During the Anthem
In this paper I will be talking about the players in the NFL that have been kneeling for the anthem.
One of the players I will be referring to a lot is Colin Kaepernick. He is the one that started the
kneeling and everybody else followed. I am in pro of players kneeling for the national anthem. I
unlike a lot of people don`t feel like he is disrespecting the American flag or national anthem.
On August 14 and 20 of 2016 Colin Kaepernick made headlines by sitting on the bench during the
49ers first two regular season games. He wasn`t in uniform so he wasn`t expected to play in those
games anyways. There was no grand unveiling of Kaepernick s sitting protest. Instead, on August 26
of 2016 Jennifer Lee ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Situations such as the Michael Brown one, Freddie gray one and Tamir rice are all reasons NFL
players such as Colin Kaepernick have been kneeling. The Alton Sterling incident is on camera which
is heartbreaking to even think about. Police kill black African Americans and then try to stand behind
self defense and the law. That isn`t right that families especially moms have to bury their son and live
with not never ever seeing their son again. A lot of people say it`s disrespecting the flag which is
wrong. African Americans go through things other races could never. I am in pro of players kneeling
because of the injustice inequality and the lack of respect we simply just don`t get. Kneeling brought
attention to all of the issues that America is going through also. Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks
didn`t do things like they did for the world to be at the place it is now. One of the first amendments is
freedom of speech and to peacefully assemble. People like white

The Network Marking Industry Is Successful
This is not your typical story of success. No, I am not going to give you some mumbo jumbo about
how everyone in the network marking industry is successful. However, I will tell you that, anyone in
network marketing can be successful. Not everyone who has attempted to succeed in network
marketing has done so. Do you know why? Not everyone has the drive, determination, patience and
confidence that it takes to make it in network marketing. I will tell you first and foremost, most
companies will ask you to make a list of all of your friends and family, and try to promote your
product to them first. This can give you the opportunity to test your sales skills. However, not all of
your friends and family will not see the value in what you have to offer. Why? It is not because you do
not have the skills to market your products and services to them. It is because the majority of your
friends and family tend to always assume the worst about new business ventures; especially network
marketing. Maybe they have tried it themselves and failed miserably. Instead of just admitting that
they did not have the above mentioned skills ( drive, determination, patience and confidence) to
survive in network marketing themselves, they would rather discourage you instead. Stay Positive I
am not trying to tell you that, talking to your friends and family is a terrible idea. I am only stating the
obvious. If you have already tried this approach than you know what I mean. I am saying,

Greek Military Discipline In Ancient Rome
Gateway Project Marcus Beatty The Greeks and Romans both had an excellent military, but Rome s
Military had much better discipline than the Greeks. The fact that the Romans had excellent discipline
compared to the Greeks, along with greater numbers, helped the Romans to eventually take over
Greece. This paper will compare the Military Discipline, awards, and strategy of two of the most well
known civilizations in human history. Rome is popular with their military s punishments, awards, and
a small amount of their strategy. Then I will offer a brief paragraph on their strategy. It is well known
that Rome was one of the greatest empires in world history. In the beginning of Rome, the discipline
was much more strict than later in the Imperial ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Romans mostly used their own adapted version of the Greek phalanx(more on that in Greek Strategy).
They often employed warriors from lands they had conquered to do jobs they could not, like Archers
from carthage or cavalry troops. It is often thought that Rome conquered with nothing other than
military power, but this is false. They conquered the whole italian peninsula with, not only force, but
also with diplomatic skill. Now we will discuss Greek Military Strategy and Discipline. Greek
Military Strategy, as I mentioned in Roman strategy, was much easier to research and will be longer.
But, Greek Discipline was more difficult to find. Greek Military Discipline was basic, at the least.
More so in early times because most of the fighting was done by heroes. After Greece entered the dark
ages, it changed to warfare fought by armies from the city states. The Greek armies were obviously
disciplined enough to obey their commanders, but the Greek s Military Discipline was nothing
compared to Rome s. Greek Strategy is a much deeper subject than Roman Strategy. To start off Greek
Strategy, we will discuss naval Tactics. The Greeks used Triremes with Bronze battering rams
mounted on the front to ram other ships. Each ship had a small force of warriors and archers, but the
main tactic in naval warfare was ramming, not

Most of the peasants clothing and other daily necessities were produced at home. The men farmed the
land and the women worked at home cooking and weaving cloth. People had no need, nor did they
have the money, to buy foreign manufactured goods However the Opium Wars instigated major
change to the economy through the Treaty of Nanjing among over successive unequal treaties. Article
II states that Western merchants are to be allowed for the purpose of carrying on their Mercantile
pursuits, without molestation or restraint at the Cities and Towns of Canton, Amoy, Foochow fu,
Ningpo, and Shanghai. These were strategically selected ports which allowed a large scope of the
coastline of China to be fully accessed by the ships. Consequently, there have been dramatic increases
in the economic activity of China, for generations of the denial of foreign trade sector, the sudden ease
of access allowed commercial activity to flourish especially in regards to exports. Tea export increased
by over 500% and silk export rose to 28 times the previous amount of bales being shipped. Also, with
the Hong abolished foreigners could now trade freely in China. Because all duties had to be negotiated
with foreign countries, they were cut from 65% to 5%, wrecking many industries within China. This is

The NFL and the Steroid Ban of 1987
My research question is Why did the steroid ban of 1987 have no affect on the growing size and
performance of linemen in the NFL? The use of steroids in the NFL began in the 1960 s and came
with a lot of controversy. As time progressed, more rumors and players came out about linemen using
steroids to enhance their size. There have been a few linemen who have come out about their use of
steroids such as Lyle Alzado, Tony Mandarich, and Steve Courson. The ineffectiveness of the steroid
ban has resulted in the perpetual use of steroids in the NFL.
The evaluation of the ineffectiveness of the steroid ban provides changes for the NFL to make in their
rule and it provides health consequences for players using the substance. The NFL needs to make a
rule change or make the rules stricter in order for players to stop using the substance.

The Growing Size of NFL Linemen
While it may seem as though the linemen in the NFL are just as big as they were thirty years ago, they
re not, they re bigger. In 1970, only one N.F.L. player weighed as much as 300 pounds, according to a
survey conducted by The Associated Press. That number has expanded from three 300 pounders in
1980 to 94 in 1990, 301 in 2000, 394 in 2009 and 532 as training camps began in 2010. The major
change in size have caused the people in the sports society to question why the players have increased
so much in size.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder Essay
Everyone knows someone who seems to be completely wrapped up in themselves. They seem to only
care about themselves, and they seem to think that they are better than every one. Some of these
people probably have narcissistic personality disorder. This personality disorder is defined as, ...a
broad pattern of grandiosity, need for admiration, and lack of empathy (Comer, 2010, p. 531). People
with narcissistic personality disorder are convinced of their own greatness; whether it be their success,
artistic skill, or beauty. They also require the constant attention and admiration of the people around
them. But, this is not all that is involved in this disorder. People with narcissistic personality disorder
are extremely self ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This too is typical of people with narcissistic personality disorder. People with this disorder tend to be
very picky, or choosey, when it come to who their friends and associates are. Since they consider
themselves to be special, they think that only those who are also special are deserving of their time. A
narcissistic personality may also surround themselves with dependent personalities, because those
with dependent personalities will give them the constant praise and adulation that they require. Again
we turn to Brother John for an example, He is an excellent teacher and has inspired many students. He
has always had a group of students, usually dependent personalities... (Rosetti, 1999). These students
would often be called upon to defend Brother John when his behavior was questioned by supervisors.
Brother John using his students in this way touches upon another trait common to those with
narcissistic personality disorder. People with this disorder are often manipulative, and use other to
achieve their own ends. According to Ronald Comer, they may do this partly out of envy (2010, p.
234). I think that it is more likely that this is just a branch of another common character trait amongst
those with narcissistic personalities, that being a lack of empathy. People with this disorder are seldom
interested in the feelings of others, and so they probably never take those feelings into consideration
when they are manipulating

The Argument From Religious Experience
The Argument from Religious Experience
The argument for God, based on personal Religious experiences, is an argument that cannot be refuted
by others. While others may not have the ability to prove the existence of God, through another s
experiences, they also cannot disprove this existence. A person s personal experiences are something
that no other person can determine, nor argue. My experiences are my interpretations for the
occurrences within my life, therefore, another person cannot determine what my true experiences are,
or how they make me feel or believe. Kreeft points out that there really is no need for an argument for
the existence of God, based on these personal experiences, since another person cannot determine
another s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These experiences cannot be argued by anyone, since the person in which it occurred, is the only one
with the ability to provide the reality to others.
While a person may not have the ability to argue the experiences of another person, one can certainly
argue the differences in these reported experiences. Accounts from different people, who cite various
experiences, creates an argument against the existence of God, based on religious experiences.
Utilizing these inconsistencies, people attempt to refute the existence of God by outlining these
inconsistencies with various reports of the people claiming to have received these experiences (Holt,
2008). Persons who are skeptical of the religious experiences to support God will look to find
inconsistencies within the stories of those reporting these experiences. However, to the believer,
variances are a way of action for God. None of the miracles performed within the Bible were
performed in the same manner. While the overall miracle may have been the same, the manner in
which it was performed may vary. As an example, Jesus healed two blind men in vastly differing
ways. One man, Jesus spat in the dirt to create mud, then rubbed the mud on the man s eyes and
instructed him to wash in the pool of Siloam, to which the man

Happy Gilmore Character Analysis
Happy Gilmore is a comedic 90 s movie about the transition from an ineffective hockey player to a
talented golfer. This is a 1996 film, Adam Sandler, who portrays Happy Gilmore faces few obstacles
when learning how to play golf. The reason why he joins a golf tournament was that he needed the
money to save his grandmother s house. His grandmother has not pay taxes for past 10 years so she
owed $270,00 otherwise her home would be lost. Happy Gilmore is a naïve and absurd character that
struggles with anger issues but later learns how to deal with it through dumb childish humor.
Throughout the golf tournament, he has a nemesis, Shooter Mcgavin, who is arrogant that gets jealous
at Happy Gilmore for his hidden talent at golf. Although Gilmore has serious anger issues, his
patience and dedication teach the audience that one s passion is not always something one is good at.
One of the eye catching concepts that are hard to miss is Happy s aggression in sports. He is either
yelling, cursing, fighting or attacking someone throughout this film. At the beginning of the film when
he was trying out for the hockey team, there is a scene where he loses his temper. He didn t make the
team so he attacked the coach for being cut. Then there is the scene when he is mad at his girlfriend so
he yells at her but then changes to innocent sad boyfriend voice and just kept switching off between
those two personas. This was very interesting to watch because he was two different characters since

Plea Mental Insanity
According to the University of Missouri Kansas City, a half of 1% of defendants in court cases plea
mental insanity in a trial, and with this defense, only about 1/20,000 actually make the plea into a

ill in a light of sadistic and melancholic misanthropy. In the mind of these few on our planet, they
simply do not realize what has happened to them. Almost like a trance, or a trip of sorts, where
nothing is comprehensible to anyone except the victim. Mental illness deemed as madness is a

The single case instances are studied deeper and the party studying can be more involved on the

man for this is a man named Jeffery Dahmer, a crazed psychopath that needed love but went about it
in the wrong way. Jeffery Dahmer, also known as the Milwaukee Cannibal, was charged with
numerous murders, cannibalism, necrophilia, and sexual assault to minors and adults. Dahmer loved to
collect animal bones he found in his backyard, and later, this led him to dissect roadkill. As his parents
marriage grew more important than his mental state, he was free to do, as he, felt was correct. At just
18, he had strangled a man to death while intoxicated, and exclaimed he did not remember this
particular night. His alcoholism increased, and so did his fantasies, luring others into his home at
night, and these individuals never were seen again, until police examined their bones and saved organs
in Dahmer s apartment. He would turn his victims into zombies just so they could not leave or fight
back against him, essentially keeping them as slaves for his own sexual and sadistic desires. Though

The specific type of bottle that Purity uses for their chocolate milk is #2 HDPE. This particular type of

Propylene, on the other hand does raise some concern even after researching. According to www.linde

Outstanding Football Player Research Paper
Down, Set, Hut! The smell of Fall was in the air, and the sound of football echoed around the stadium.
Many people think that being a successful football player is fairly easy. They claim being big, strong,
and fast is really the only tools you need to be great at the sport. However, the qualities of an
outstanding football player go far beyond just their physical capabilities. The physical aspect of
football of course helps, but it is all the great characteristics put together that will make a player truly
outstanding. The best sign of an outstanding football player is if they have these three qualities: a
strong work ethic, mental toughness, and great leadership.
Great football players aren t just strong, but they have a really amazing work ethic. If a player has a
strong work ethic, he often attempts to do extra. These players will stay an hour after practice is over
making sure they perfect their craft. They strive to be perfect in everything they do, and that is one of
the reasons they make such outstanding football players. The players that show this trait off are the
ones who take no days off. When these hard working players hit the field they are focused, and ready

having mental toughness is important in the 4th quarter and when you are tired. If you lack mental
toughness in these situations then more than likely you are going to give up, and any outstanding

Personal Health Records Essay
Introduction
Increased public demand to access health information and growth of consumerism in health care
industry are two important reasons form increasing attention to Personal Health Records (PHRs) in the
recent years. Surveys show that a considerable number of people want to have access to their health
information. In one survey, 60 percent of respondents wanted physicians to provide online access to
medical records and test results, and online appointment scheduling; 1 in 4 said they would pay more
for the service.
Moreover, increasing costs of healthcare delivery and emerging trends toward patient empowerment

For this reason, some experts think that the term Personal Health Record is not descriptive enough and
can limit innovation and usage of these systems. Personal Health Record Systems (PHRS) and
Personal Health Platforms (PHP) have been suggested as more appropriate terms.
Types of PHRs
From an architectural point of view, PHRs can be divided into four different types.
Stand alone PHR: This is the simplest form of a PHR that does not connect with any other system. The
data is usually entered manually by the patient. This type of PHR can be in the form of USB devices,
CDs, smart cards, desktop applications, or even web based applications that can be accessed through
the internet. Although this model of PHR gives patient complete control over data and seems more
secure as it has no connection to other systems, it lacks the reliability and usefulness and is not
considered a preferred model. Stand alone PHRs can only be considered computerized versions of
paper based health records the some people keep.
Provider tethered PHRs: In this model, PHR is developed and maintained by a healthcare provider,
insurer, or employer. The type of health information that is stored in these PHRs is affected by the
nature of the provider business. For instance, in PHRs that are offered by insurers, the content is
mostly administrative and billing in nature. In the case of healthcare providers, PHR would be a

Stereotypes In The Searchers Movie
The Searchers (1956) directed by John Ford is a Western movie following the life of Ethan Edwards
as he searches for his niece, Debby, who was captured by a Comanche tribe. In this film, there is a
scene (1:13:42 1:15:50) which shows Ethan and Marty going into a US Cavalry fort to see if the
Cavalry officers have Debby or not. When Ethan and Marty go into the fort, they see a white woman
on the floor, screaming and rocking around, and two girls sitting dumbly. Then Ethan and Marty
decide that Debby is not there and leave.
In this scene, diegetic sound, sound that can be heard by the actors, is a prominent element. Dialogue
is heard in this scene, and is exchanged by a few of the characters (Ethan, Marty, Officers and the lady

In the time this film was made, the dying days of the classic Western, Native Americans were being
portrayed as the savage side less and less. (ref: http://www.rogerebert.com/reviews/great movie the
searchers 1956). The director, John Ford, believed that hatred of Native Americans was wrong, but the
message in this scene of the film contradicts his beliefs. However this does not mean John Ford was
racist, it simply shows the ideas that were common in society in the time this film was made. John
Ford used the characters Ethan and the US Cavarly officers to embody the ideas of society in the 1950
s. Later in the film, the prejudice against Native Americans reduces in Ethan s character. At the time of
this scene, he hates Native Americans with no exceptions. However near the end of the movie he
becomes more tolerant of Native Americans, for example when he brought Debby home safely instead
of killing her. As killing Debby would ve put Ethan into bad light, the decision of him not killing her
brings an anti racism message, which was something that John Ford believed in. This helps highlight
change of character in Ethan. It shows that people should look past race and skin colour when making
decisions about and loving people. In comparison to the racist message in

The Causes And Impacts Of Transnational Corporations
Transnational Corporations (TNCs), also known as Multinational corporations (MNCs), are businesses
that have subsidiaries in at least one other state other than their home state (Jackson, 2013) Due to
their reach they have a fairly significant role on global politics. They control the mass of the economy
and GDP of many states, place pressure on policy makers through their decisions and influence the

What Are The Four Points In The History Of Gang Growth
According to the ncjrs.gov, historically the United States has encountered four points in history of
gang growth. The late 1800 s, the 1920 s, the 1960 s, and the 1990 s. The earliest debuts of gangs in
the United States is suggested to be around the ending of the American Revolution in 1783. Groups or

The Relationship Of Jesus And Christian Mentoring In The...
Mentor is characterized as a wise and trusted advocate or instructor. Although tutoring/mentoring is
not in the Bible, it gives us various cases of coaching. Moses was a great example of a mentoring
relationship. The mentoring relationship among Eli and Samuel allowed Samuel to take on tasks and
obligations that were his after Eli s demise. Jesus mentor His disciples, while Barnabas and Paul
exceeded expectations in mentoring. Jesus made His style of mentoring clear. He led so we may
follow. He stated if anybody will come after him, let them take up his cross and follow him. Since He
is our leader and we are to follow Him, Christian mentoring is a procedure subordinate upon
accommodation to Christ. Neither the mentor or mentee controls the relationship. The way toward
mentoring is portrayed by sharing, trust, and enrichment as the life and work of the two members is
changed. The mentor fills in as a model and a confided in audience. The guide depends on the Holy
Spirit to give understanding, change lives, and educate through demonstration.
Jesus and the apostles, as well as elders in the church do their work by mentoring. Peter states to be
the example of the flock, and Paul discloses to the elders at Ephesus. Paul demonstrates to the elders,
so that they may show others. If a Christian leader is not mentoring to that degree, he or she is not
satisfying their calling. God has filled the group of Christ with potential mentors other than the
individuals who are elders.

Essay about Moliere
Moliere is undoubtedly one of the most interesting and famous French writers ever. His comedic plays
capture the reader with a a perfect blend of intelligent and slap stick jokes. He mastered the strange
enterprise of amusing decent people (Guicharnaud, 2) with this simple philosophy: Nothing is more
effective(in making people laugh) then holding up the mirror to nature. (Guicharnaud, 21) Jean
Baptiste Poquelin was born in Paris on January 15, 1662. His father and Mother where both interior
decorators for the king, although his mother died when Jean Baptise was ten years of age. He was sent
to College de

Moliere, said Bishop Bossuet.(Bishop, 10) Moliere s plays are some of the most popular and produced
French plays in the world. Despite defects in the plot and character development of Moliere s plays,
his works remain popular today because the basis of his comedy deals with human nature,
relationships, and hypocrisy. Tartuffe was Moliere s most performed and popular play. When it was
presented to the king in 1664 he liked it, but forbade Moliere to publicly produce it under pressure
from the church. For 5 years he pulled every string he could to get the play in production. For reasons
unknown, King Louis lifted the ban and Tartuffe became a instant hit. The play consisted of 5 acts, in
which surprisingly the main character did not even appear until the third. Simply put, the plot had the
man of a house hold in love with a stranger named Tartuffe he had taken in to his care. The rest of the
family saw through his facade, but the father insists that Tartuffe is God sent. He finally realizes the
truth when he witnesses
Tartuffe tempting his wife as he hid under the dining room table. Often
Tartuffe would often comment that the other people of the house where not following God, and that he
was his humble servant. Of course he turned

Exploring the Foreclosure Crisis Essay examples
Mortgage. The word stems from the old French phrase mort gaige, which loosely translates into dead
pledge. Truth in title, it precisely sums up its bearing on modern homeowners. In order to fully grasp
the weight and severity of the former statement, a thorough definition must be produced. A mortgage
is a debt and/or pledge, which cannot be expunged under ordinary circumstances. Its demise depends
upon one of two occurrences, the first being its payoff. The other option is payment failure otherwise
known as foreclosure. The latter seems to be an unsettling staple of society in America and abroad,
thus fulfilling its namely obligation. More and more homes are going into foreclosure, leaving an
equal amount of homeowners to face the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To fully rectify this issue, we must root out the cause and begin the rehabilitation of its very
foundations, foundations being the operative word. The foundations are basically every participant in
the world of mortgage and real estate, but the most prominent characters are appraisers, realtors, banks
and surprisingly homeowners. This scenario was the product of a greedy, corruption filled industry
sponsoring a trickle down effect. Greed and corruption play obvious key roles in this particular
transpiration. They are counterparts for all parties involved. For example, homeowners know that
wealth equals power, as professed by the materialistic culture created by ourselves. In order to (please
pardon the colloquialism) keep up with the Joneses, one must have a big house, a big car and so on
and so forth. However, big houses cost big money, which a lot of people don t have. So prospective
homeowners tend to lie on loan applications, in order to live beyond their means, and purchase homes
that are far too expensive for their actual financial situation. Appraisers and realtors had a hand in
determining the price of these homes, often doing so in an unorthodox fashion. Appraisers used false
advertisement or rather false estimation in calculating the value of these homes, resulting in gross
inaccuracies. Realtors upheld their friends by listing these homes at their

Environmental Impacts Of The Marine Environment
Introduction
Problem Statement / Definition of Research Area
This research will look into the problems caused by fishing. Human impact has proved to threaten the
bio diversity of the marine environment. The environmental impact of fishing can be divided into
issues that involve the availability of fish to be caught, such as overfishing, sustainable fisheries, and
fisheries management; and issues that involve the impact of fishing on other elements of the
environment, such as by catch. This research is connected to sustainability, and will look into the
living and non living things that menace the fish in the sea, along with the care resolution that will
foster the marine environments feasible future.
Rationale
The indicated matter was selected for the sake of the marine environment and its beautiful importance.
A great deal of leisure time is devoted to fishing both on land and sea. I love the bio diversity of the
ocean and regard it as something that needs to be safeguarded.
This topic is also significant for my local community. The oceans species are all unique and many
people fish illegally and without caution, therefore we have an environmental responsibility in
maintaining sustainable practices. Thus, significantly exploring the living and nonliving factors
alarming the ocean including the current policies enforced toward safeguarding the ocean is important.
Research Questions
1) What is overfishing?
2) What are the causes of overfishing?

Why Do Food Companies Lie
Food companies are misleading and not 100% honesty about what they say. Food companies would
put just about anything in foods so that they can pay less to make it. We as people know the common
things they tell us an example: how much sugar, fats, and high fructose corn syrup. Most Companies
even give us a number of calories we are eating as well as serving we should eat. Although, are we
truly getting the entire ingredient list, telling us what chemicals are being used? Food companies
should be more honest about the ingredients they use because everyone should have the right to know
what we are eating.
The line between artificial and natural flavors can often be quite thin or even impossible to see.

The Value Of Philosophy By Bertrand Russell
The essay The Value of Philosophy by Bertrand Russell suggests that many practical people view
philosophy as rather useless, because these people are according to Bertrand Russell operating both
with wrong conceptions about the ends of life and wrong conceptions about what goods philosophy
strives to achieve. According to Russell the value of philosophy is in what it does for the person who
studies it. He makes the point that goods of the mind are as important in life as goods of the body. He
says that the main value of philosophy is that it enlarges one s thoughts, brings one into union with the
not Self , and helps us avoid being caught in narrowness as human beings. His main ideas are that
philosophy is to be studied to enrich our intellects, diminish our dogmatism, and make us citizens of
the universe.
In the essay, Russell presents the study of philosophy as a valuable undertaking, even though it does
not directly help the whole world or increase one s material wealth. The value is to be found for the
student of philosophy herself or himself. This value is primarily found in the intellectual development
that is available for those who undertake the study philosophy. They can escape narrowness,
dogmatism, and narrowness as they become citizens of the world, with enriched intellectual
capacities. Russell concludes with the idea that the mind becomes enlarged through the study of
philosophy.

thus they skipped ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The deontological ethics states that there are things that we must do as a matter of principle regardless
of consequences (Moral standards, PowerPoint Slides). Here the Vice President, Rodford had to act on
the best interest of the company in making profit and surviving the competition against European and
Japanese cars. Therefore he ignored the fact of putting people in risk of accidents. The positive right
test assists the wellbeing of the company and its employee by making sales and profit. Whereas the
negative right test overrides the wellbeing of the customers and the community members with the risk
of death. Again since life is irreplaceable and profit can substituted by other means, the action of the
company is wrong from the deontological view too.
The policy that Dentex Corporation should follow is strict rules and regulation for the Product
Planning Committee regarding product safety. There should be more awareness raised among the
employees and management regarding the ethical responsibility towards the customers and society as
a whole.
2. Issue related to promotional deceiving
Another issue mentioned in the case is the deceptive advertising. Since the image of Rento was
hampered because of the accidents, Dentex decided to develop a manipulative marketing strategy.
Their strategy included targeting the young male crowd between the ages of 16 to 24, who can be
influenced easily. The experimental researched and focus groups showed that this

Access controls are a sequence of instructions that a router will refer to before either allowing a packet

a discretionary access control (DAC) model will allow the owner of the resources to control who has
access as well as the operations that can be performed. Access will be based on the identity of the user
and the role that the user plays within the company. This can be done through access control lists
(ACLs), where permission is granted on a need to know basis.

Major Themes In The 5th Wave By Rick Yancey
The author of the The 5th Wave, Rick Yancey, had several prominent themes. Three were more vital;
first, war cannot change who a person really is at their core , second, people are defined by the choices
they make ,and third, family is worth living for . These are the best and most important recurring
themes of The 5th Wave. The first theme, war cannot change who a person really is at their core .
Throughout the book, there were several incidences where this theme was important. For example,
Ben tries to make Ringer smile despite being in the middle of the end of the world. When Cassie and
Sammy reunite, he goes back to his five year old self even though he was in boot camp for months,
and lastly Cassie and Evan flirt with each other and interact with each other like it is high school.
Ringer makes an agreement with Ben that if she teaches him to shoot, Ben will step down as squad
leader. When they go to the range, Ringer tells Ben how horrible he shoots, then he retorts with a
comment and his best smile. I give her my best smile. Before the alien Armageddon happened, I was
known for my smile...But it has absolutely no effect on Ringer, (Page 249).This proves that even
though the alien Armageddon is happening while they speak, he is still the same person as he was
before the invasion, a high school jock hitting on a girl, he has not changed. Cassie retrieves Sammy

voting a lot faster because the people can just go to either democrat, republican or independent
column. They do not have to go through a big list of candidates ... Show more content on

Secondly, I will now talk about the disadvantages of having a partisan election. First, partisan
elections cost a lot more money than nonpartisan elections, because in nonpartisan elections you do
not have to campaign. The voters must do their own research on the candidates and makes the voter
actually think and know why they are going to vote. A bad thing about this though would be time. Not
everybody has time to go out and do research on candidates, because most people work eight or more
hour shifts at work and then they do not want to go out and do research. Another disadvantage would
be I think there is too much information out there for the candidates, which ends up confusing the
voter instead of benefiting. This makes it harder when coming to vote, so many people will just mark
anything because they do not care. These would be one the biggest disadvantages of partisan elections
to me in state politics.
I will now examine some of last election year s results. Voter turnout has decreased in the past years.
There are two main factors that have been coming up in the past years. First, many citizens say that
who is elected in office is not as important as it once was. Secondly, younger Americans are more
cynical and disconnected from politics than ever. I think there is too much information out there and
another thing that might be the reason this is happening is

Public Support Rhetorical Analysis
Presidential appeals for public support had become a commonplace in 1992. Some examples of going
public are a special prime time address to the nation, televised press conference, traveling outside
Washington. to deliver a speech to a business or professional convention, and a visit to a day care
center with network cameras trailing behind.
Richard Nixon, born January 9, 1913 and passed away April 22, 1994, he was the 37th president of the
United States from 1969 to 1974. President Nixon thought it was crucial to spread the White House
around by traveling and speaking largely. Richard Nixon engaged in prime time television so largely
to promote his policies on Vietnam that the Federal Communications Commission took an unheard of

Hannibal Lector Character Traits
At the start of this movie, the FBI sends a brand new untrained agent down to interrogate the inmate
Dr. Hannibal Lector. Dr. Lector is a murderer that was a cannibal that ate his victims after he killed
them, but what made him special is the fact he used to be a psychiatrist. Hannibal Lector is a calm and
brilliant man and he really shows how brilliant he is when he speaks as he manipulates you to believe
what he is saying or do the things he wants you to do. Hannibal immediately felt a connection with
Clarice, the FBI agent, and felt he knew things about her before she even told him. He knew things
about her childhood and felt a connection toward those memories. The person in the cell next to him
was yelling at Clarice when she came. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

she thought if she could it would make a difference if just one lived but it was too heavy for her. After
her uncle saw what she did he sent her into foster care where she would till be woke up in the middle

Writing Instruments That Evolved Into A Process
Dturing English 122, I adapted several writing instruments that evolved into a process, in turn, I used
this to compose my first and final drafts of my narrative and persuasive essays. Originating the term, I
had a fear and deep resentment for writing; however, in week three, I finally attained a point where I
began to enjoy the writing process. When I look back over the last eight weeks, I use three things that
improved my writing, specifically, a process style chart, transitional phrases, and the proper way of
revising my assignment for this course that improved my writing and will benefit future classes. First,
process style chart (MindEdge 5.01), profoundly improved the speed, organization, and quality of my
composition. I merely transferred the process of module five, Refining the Order of Your Ideas (#2
MindEdge 5.01), to index cards; thus, allowing reorganization or removal of topics, subtopics, and
details by simply moving an index card. Exerted from My Experiences With Writing , Then, I noticed
that at the end she commented on what I did well, In turn, making the mistakes seem like something I
should just work on. SNHU 107 has helped me shed that unpleasant experience and write slightly
better papers with a more focused and consistent Batson 2

Competitive Market Of Nano Brewery
Competitive Market Although Nano Brewery should not hold allusions of taking over the macro
brewer scene anytime soon, they are doing well in comparison to other nano brewers nationwide.
Currently, Nano Brewery is services five accounts where they provide beer on tap, which by industry
standards is positive. John Holl, the editor and chief of All about Beer Magazine remarks about nano
breweries, heck, if they can get on tap in at least one place in town, that s success. The reports of not
being able to keep up with production is also a positive sign that the beer is being well received in the
community. Nano brewery also reports that its highest volume of sales come from its bottle and
growler sales direct from the brewery and this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although craft brewers use a number of unique additives to their batches to get the right flavor, such
as fruits, nuts and honey, the major necessity is hops. Although hops can be sourced globally, the
market demand is steeply rising will inevitably drive up the cost. Larger macro brewers will have both
the financial leverage and the economies of scale to get the best of what is around, leaving
microbrewers and nano brewers to source elsewhere. There is also the consideration of price strategy
in the market. Craft beer is known for its higher cost of production and higher purchase price to
consumers, but as the trends in micro and nano breweries expands the question remains as to if they
will take on a similar pricing model to that of the macro brewers in the United States. Currently, the
pricing trends amongst macro brewers are almost solely based on a single manufacturer, as noted by
Robert Uihlein, Chairman of the Schlitz Brewery, a price increase is needed, but it will take Anheuser
Busch to do it, (Rojas, p.3). This trend has only slightly manifested itself on the smaller market and
realistically has just adhered to a standard model of pricing thus far, with little fluctuation based on
demand. As an example, there is a number of craft breweries who have become infamous for releasing
their most coveted brews on a limited basis, but price

  • 2. Social Issues In The Lotus Eaters By Tennyson Besides captivating readers through the retelling of past events, Tennyson used his poetry to consider social issues of the Victorian era. However, unlike his rival Elizabeth Barrett Browning, he never outright proclaimed his stance. Alternatively, Tennyson s poems rely on an active participation from the reader to provide them with meaning. Instead of telling the reader what to believe, Tennyson s mission was to encourage discussion about Victorian social issues. Similarly, in his poem, The Lotus Eaters, Tennyson explores ideas about the unabashed use of opium, the Victorian obsession with progress, and industrial advancement. Opium maintained an unavoidable presence in Victorian society. As prevalent as Aspirin today, opium was the pain killer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Pulling yourself up by your bootstraps was a common epithet for the period. The poem depicts the mariner s resistance to advancing their lives as an undesirable quality. The discomfort the reader feels because of their utter indifference to atrocities, serves to highlight that apathy can have disastrous consequences. This ideal of a commitment to working hard to improve yourself, would have resonated with the Victorian readership at the time. Because upward social mobility was an increasingly important part of the Victorian era, people for the first time believed that they had control over their own social standing and through hard work, could improve ... During the 1930 s a large number of Italians who had opposed the fascist rule of Benito Mussolini arrived in the United States. After the news spread in Italy about the bombing of Pearl Harbour almost all Italians supported the war against Benito Mussolini. At this point, Italy was slowly becoming under the Nazi rule, the significance of a woman s role in Italy was emphasised as they were expected to accept the fascist ideology. Abstract art started making inroads into the industry and artists like Salvador Dali and Kurt Schwitters became famous for this time of art. Abstract art was disliked by Mussolini as this type of art was very different and modern, it had its own identity however, Musslolini only accepted traditional religious paintings to be a part of the Italian lifestyle. Artistic freedom was further restricted by Mussolini s introduction of Fascist design and mass communication this included posters, radio and TV commercials which stole numerous ideas from the fine arts and showed the public a distorted view of this art phenomenom. During the 1930 s the public began to feel the effects of the Great Depression, many designers were restricted in experimenting with new fashions due to the fall in the economy and the rise in employment. However, this difficult time period did not stop women from flocking to the shops to enjoy the new fashion craze that was arising. Women were expected to wear clothing that was sombre and modest, it reflecting the difficult social and economical situation of the decade. These changes may have helped the movie move along faster, however the changes were not effective in accurately portraying The Odyssey and giving the viewer a deep understanding of the characters and their experiences. The way that Odysseus s crew is killed is changed in the film, the meeting with the Phaiakians is cut short, as well as the meeting with Menelaos. As the temperature decrease from 20 degrees to 10 degrees, the average number of respiration also decreased from 106 to 44 breaths per minutes. The null hypothesis, that the change in temperature has no effect on the respiration per minute of a goldfish. The null hypothesis can be rejected because of the temperature of the water as a direct effect on the respirations of a goldfish. The results give support for an alternative hypothesis. One of the players I will be referring to a lot is Colin Kaepernick. He is the one that started the kneeling and everybody else followed. I am in pro of players kneeling for the national anthem. I unlike a lot of people don`t feel like he is disrespecting the American flag or national anthem. On August 14 and 20 of 2016 Colin Kaepernick made headlines by sitting on the bench during the 49ers first two regular season games. That isn`t right that families especially moms have to bury their son and live with not never ever seeing their son again. A lot of people say it`s disrespecting the flag which is wrong. • 7. The Network Marking Industry Is Successful This is not your typical story of success. No, I am not going to give you some mumbo jumbo about how everyone in the network marking industry is successful. However, I will tell you that, anyone in network marketing can be successful. Not everyone who has attempted to succeed in network marketing has done so. Do you know why? Not everyone has the drive, determination, patience and confidence that it takes to make it in network marketing. I will tell you first and foremost, most companies will ask you to make a list of all of your friends and family, and try to promote your product to them first. This can give you the opportunity to test your sales skills. However, not all of your friends and family will not see the value in what you have to offer. Why? It is not because you do not have the skills to market your products and services to them. It is because the majority of your friends and family tend to always assume the worst about new business ventures; especially network marketing. Maybe they have tried it themselves and failed miserably. Instead of just admitting that they did not have the above mentioned skills ( drive, determination, patience and confidence) to survive in network marketing themselves, they would rather discourage you instead. The fact that the Romans had excellent discipline compared to the Greeks, along with greater numbers, helped the Romans to eventually take over Greece. Now we will discuss Greek Military Strategy and Discipline. Greek Military Strategy, as I mentioned in Roman strategy, was much easier to research and will be longer. But, Greek Discipline was more difficult to find. Greek Military Discipline was basic, at the least. More so in early times because most of the fighting was done by heroes. After Greece entered the dark ages, it changed to warfare fought by armies from the city states. The Greek armies were obviously disciplined enough to obey their commanders, but the Greek s Military Discipline was nothing compared to Rome s. The use of steroids in the NFL began in the 1960 s and came with a lot of controversy. As time progressed, more rumors and players came out about linemen using steroids to enhance their size. There have been a few linemen who have come out about their use of steroids such as Lyle Alzado, Tony Mandarich, and Steve Courson. A narcissistic personality may also surround themselves with dependent personalities, because those with dependent personalities will give them the constant praise and adulation that they require. These students would often be called upon to defend Brother John when his behavior was questioned by supervisors. People with this disorder are often manipulative, and use other to achieve their own ends. According to Ronald Comer, they may do this partly out of envy (2010, p. 234). People with this disorder are seldom interested in the feelings of others, and so they probably never take those feelings into consideration when they are manipulating ... The reason why he joins a golf tournament was that he needed the money to save his grandmother s house. His grandmother has not pay taxes for past 10 years so she owed $270,00 otherwise her home would be lost. Happy Gilmore is a naïve and absurd character that struggles with anger issues but later learns how to deal with it through dumb childish humor. Throughout the golf tournament, he has a nemesis, Shooter Mcgavin, who is arrogant that gets jealous at Happy Gilmore for his hidden talent at golf. Although Gilmore has serious anger issues, his patience and dedication teach the audience that one s passion is not always something one is good at. One of the eye catching concepts that are hard to miss is Happy s aggression in sports. He is either yelling, cursing, fighting or attacking someone throughout this film. At the beginning of the film when he was trying out for the hockey team, there is a scene where he loses his temper. He didn t make the team so he attacked the coach for being cut. At the time of this scene, he hates Native Americans with no exceptions. I believe that deep down these boys made mistakes but they are on the verge of correcting them and eventually getting themselves straightened out. During my time there I did a lot of observing, helped the teacher grade some papers and tried to help the students with their work. I also got to answer a lot of their questions and curiosity they had about college and what it was like. During class there is always a teacher and there was Mr. Rhodes for behavior purposes, if one of the students misbehaved he would take them out of the classroom and talk to them. He was also very close to the students, there was a clear bond between them. During lunch he would always put on the football channel and they would just watch and chat. Even though the teachers and Mr. Rhodes are strict and demanding with the students, I believe that is what really helps motivate them. Some of them ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 20. The Causes And Impacts Of Transnational Corporations Transnational Corporations (TNCs), also known as Multinational corporations (MNCs), are businesses that have subsidiaries in at least one other state other than their home state (Jackson, 2013) Due to their reach they have a fairly significant role on global politics. They control the mass of the economy and GDP of many states, place pressure on policy makers through their decisions and influence the decisions of citizens through media. They, however, would not be able to function without the rules and economic control states have to create a market place and media channels. This limits their power to an extent but they still retain a position of power within the global political scene. TNCs have had a massive growth post World War II with America dominating the international market well into the 1960 s until Europe and Japan began to compete against them. In the modern global market changes in political regimes and ideologies have allowed for a diverse market with Eastern Europe and many other Asian countries finding their way in. China has made itself a super power in international trade, manufacturing and export due to the cheap costs. Many Transnational corporations have more worth than some states with Wal Mart being worth more than Israel, Poland and many others. There is an estimated sixty one thousand TNCs that make up two thirds of the global trade with a third coming from inter firm transactions (Raghavan, 1996). • 22. The Relationship Of Jesus And Christian Mentoring In The... Mentor is characterized as a wise and trusted advocate or instructor. Although tutoring/mentoring is not in the Bible, it gives us various cases of coaching. Moses was a great example of a mentoring relationship. The mentoring relationship among Eli and Samuel allowed Samuel to take on tasks and obligations that were his after Eli s demise. Jesus mentor His disciples, while Barnabas and Paul exceeded expectations in mentoring. Jesus made His style of mentoring clear. He led so we may follow. He stated if anybody will come after him, let them take up his cross and follow him. Since He is our leader and we are to follow Him, Christian mentoring is a procedure subordinate upon accommodation to Christ. Neither the mentor or mentee controls the relationship. The way toward mentoring is portrayed by sharing, trust, and enrichment as the life and work of the two members is changed. The mentor fills in as a model and a confided in audience. The guide depends on the Holy Spirit to give understanding, change lives, and educate through demonstration. Jesus and the apostles, as well as elders in the church do their work by mentoring. Peter states to be the example of the flock, and Paul discloses to the elders at Ephesus. Paul demonstrates to the elders, so that they may show others. If a Christian leader is not mentoring to that degree, he or she is not satisfying their calling. God has filled the group of Christ with potential mentors other than the individuals who are elders. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 23. Essay about Moliere Moliere is undoubtedly one of the most interesting and famous French writers ever. His comedic plays capture the reader with a a perfect blend of intelligent and slap stick jokes. He mastered the strange enterprise of amusing decent people (Guicharnaud, 2) with this simple philosophy: Nothing is more effective(in making people laugh) then holding up the mirror to nature. (Guicharnaud, 21) Jean Baptiste Poquelin was born in Paris on January 15, 1662. God was displaying his anger against Moliere, said Bishop Bossuet.(Bishop, 10) Moliere s plays are some of the most popular and produced French plays in the world. Despite defects in the plot and character development of Moliere s plays, his works remain popular today because the basis of his comedy deals with human nature, relationships, and hypocrisy. Tartuffe was Moliere s most performed and popular play. When it was presented to the king in 1664 he liked it, but forbade Moliere to publicly produce it under pressure from the church. For 5 years he pulled every string he could to get the play in production. For reasons unknown, King Louis lifted the ban and Tartuffe became a instant hit. The play consisted of 5 acts, in which surprisingly the main character did not even appear until the third. Simply put, the plot had the man of a house hold in love with a stranger named Tartuffe he had taken in to his care. The rest of the family saw through his facade, but the father insists that Tartuffe is God sent. He finally realizes the truth when he witnesses Tartuffe tempting his wife as he hid under the dining room table. Often Tartuffe would often comment that the other people of the house where not following God, and that he was his humble servant. Of course he turned ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Truth in title, it precisely sums up its bearing on modern homeowners. In order to fully grasp the weight and severity of the former statement, a thorough definition must be produced. A mortgage is a debt and/or pledge, which cannot be expunged under ordinary circumstances. Its demise depends upon one of two occurrences, the first being its payoff. The other option is payment failure otherwise known as foreclosure. The latter seems to be an unsettling staple of society in America and abroad, thus fulfilling its namely obligation. To fully rectify this issue, we must root out the cause and begin the rehabilitation of its very foundations, foundations being the operative word. The foundations are basically every participant in the world of mortgage and real estate, but the most prominent characters are appraisers, realtors, banks and surprisingly homeowners. This scenario was the product of a greedy, corruption filled industry sponsoring a trickle down effect. Greed and corruption play obvious key roles in this particular transpiration. They are counterparts for all parties involved. For example, homeowners know that wealth equals power, as professed by the materialistic culture created by ourselves. In order to (please pardon the colloquialism) keep up with the Joneses, one must have a big house, a big car and so on and so forth. However, big houses cost big money, which a lot of people don t have. So prospective homeowners tend to lie on loan applications, in order to live beyond their means, and purchase homes that are far too expensive for their actual financial situation. Appraisers and realtors had a hand in determining the price of these homes, often doing so in an unorthodox fashion. Appraisers used false advertisement or rather false estimation in calculating the value of these homes, resulting in gross inaccuracies. Realtors upheld their friends by listing these homes at their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 30. The Value Of Philosophy By Bertrand Russell The essay The Value of Philosophy by Bertrand Russell suggests that many practical people view philosophy as rather useless, because these people are according to Bertrand Russell operating both with wrong conceptions about the ends of life and wrong conceptions about what goods philosophy strives to achieve. According to Russell the value of philosophy is in what it does for the person who studies it. He makes the point that goods of the mind are as important in life as goods of the body. He says that the main value of philosophy is that it enlarges one s thoughts, brings one into union with the not Self , and helps us avoid being caught in narrowness as human beings. His main ideas are that philosophy is to be studied to enrich our intellects, diminish our dogmatism, and make us citizens of the universe. In the essay, Russell presents the study of philosophy as a valuable undertaking, even though it does not directly help the whole world or increase one s material wealth. The value is to be found for the student of philosophy herself or himself. This value is primarily found in the intellectual development that is available for those who undertake the study philosophy. They can escape narrowness, dogmatism, and narrowness as they become citizens of the world, with enriched intellectual capacities. Russell concludes with the idea that the mind becomes enlarged through the study of philosophy. [PLEASE NOTE!: I have not put much commentary on the quotes here, but ... Throughout the book, there were several incidences where this theme was important. For example, Ben tries to make Ringer smile despite being in the middle of the end of the world. I will also examine the last couple year s election results and costs. Finally, I will discuss if partisanship made a difference in the vote, as well as if a judge should be decided by partisan vote. In the next couple paragraphs I will talk more specifically about these topics. First, let s talk about the advantages of partisan elections compared to nonpartisan elections. It makes voting a lot faster because the people can just go to either democrat, republican or independent column. They do not have to go through a big list of candidates ... First, partisan elections cost a lot more money than nonpartisan elections, because in nonpartisan elections you do not have to campaign. The voters must do their own research on the candidates and makes the voter actually think and know why they are going to vote. A bad thing about this though would be time. Not everybody has time to go out and do research on candidates, because most people work eight or more hour shifts at work and then they do not want to go out and do research. Another disadvantage would be I think there is too much information out there for the candidates, which ends up confusing the voter instead of benefiting. This makes it harder when coming to vote, so many people will just mark anything because they do not care. These would be one the biggest disadvantages of partisan elections to me in state politics. I will now examine some of last election year s results. Voter turnout has decreased in the past years. There are two main factors that have been coming up in the past years. First, many citizens say that who is elected in office is not as important as it once was. Secondly, younger Americans are more cynical and disconnected from politics than ever. I think there is too much information out there and another thing that might be the reason this is happening is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Richard Nixon, born January 9, 1913 and passed away April 22, 1994, he was the 37th president of the United States from 1969 to 1974. • 45. Writing Instruments That Evolved Into A Process Dturing English 122, I adapted several writing instruments that evolved into a process, in turn, I used this to compose my first and final drafts of my narrative and persuasive essays. Originating the term, I had a fear and deep resentment for writing; however, in week three, I finally attained a point where I began to enjoy the writing process. When I look back over the last eight weeks, I use three things that improved my writing, specifically, a process style chart, transitional phrases, and the proper way of revising my assignment for this course that improved my writing and will benefit future classes. First, process style chart (MindEdge 5.01), profoundly improved the speed, organization, and quality of my composition. I merely transferred the process of module five, Refining the Order of Your Ideas (#2 MindEdge 5.01), to index cards; thus, allowing reorganization or removal of topics, subtopics, and details by simply moving an index card. Exerted from My Experiences With Writing , Then, I noticed that at the end she commented on what I did well, In turn, making the mistakes seem like something I should just work on. SNHU 107 has helped me shed that unpleasant experience and write slightly better papers with a more focused and consistent Batson 2 ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Although craft brewers use a number of unique additives to their batches to get the right flavor, such as fruits, nuts and honey, the major necessity is hops. Although hops can be sourced globally, the market demand is steeply rising will inevitably drive up the cost. Larger macro brewers will have both the financial leverage and the economies of scale to get the best of what is around, leaving microbrewers and nano brewers to source elsewhere. There is also the consideration of price strategy in the market. Craft beer is known for its higher cost of production and higher purchase price to consumers, but as the trends in micro and nano breweries expands the question remains as to if they will take on a similar pricing model to that of the macro brewers in the United States. Currently, the pricing trends amongst macro brewers are almost solely based on a single manufacturer, as noted by Robert Uihlein, Chairman of the Schlitz Brewery, a price increase is needed, but it will take Anheuser Busch to do it, (Rojas, p.3). This trend has only slightly manifested itself on the smaller market and realistically has just adhered to a standard model of pricing thus far, with little fluctuation based on demand. As an example, there is a number of craft breweries who have become infamous for releasing their most coveted brews on a limited basis, but price ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
