Research Paper On Apple Cider Vinegar
Today, many are switching to natural home remedies in a bid to save some money from buying those
expensive skin solutions which claim to cure acne but never lived up to its promises. There is an
increasing trend of awareness among the community to go for natural treatments and it s definitely
bad news for the commercial skin markets.
There are quite a number of natural home remedies available. Among one of them is apple cider
vinegar. You probably would have read quite a number of articles about using apple cider vinegar as a
cure for adult acne. Does this really work? How true is it? Hope this article can dispel some
misconceptions about this natural home remedy if there is any.

It helps to exfoliate the dead skin cells gently, kills the bacteria propionibacterium acnes which is
generally known as P acnes and neutralizes the sebum which is the oily substance P acnes feeds and
thrives on.
How is Apple Cider Vinegar made?
Apple cider vinegar is obtained by the fermentation of apple cider or apple must which is made from
crushed organic apples. Just for your information, fermentation means an act of conversion. Organic
apples have some kind of bacteria and yeast on their skins. So when they are crushed, you get pure
apple juice with a mixture of bacteria and yeast.
After which you leave it to mature for a while. During this process, sugar in the apple cider is broken
down by yeast and bacteria which turns into alcohol. It s more like a brewing process which
eventually turns into vinegar after a second fermentation.
If you don t have all the time or resources to make one at home, you can easily purchase ACV from
any departmental stores. First of all, make sure you get the organic ACV with the labels saying With
the Mother with an ideal acidity (pH) level of five to seven. This means that it is in raw and pure form
characterized by dark, cloudy, web like bacterial foam which is brownish in

PATHOPHYSIOLOGY
ADA is a part of the purine salvage pathway which functions to rid the cells of deoxyadenosine.
Adenosine deaminase is considered a critical enzyme that consists of a 12 exon, 32 kb gene located on
chromosome 20q13 q13.1, is a 42 kDa protein with 363 amino acid. Adenosine deaminase produces
the irreversible deamination of adenosine (Ado) and deoxyadenosine (dAdo). The enzyme Ado is
further converted to inosine and and the enzyme dAdo is converted to non toxic molecule 2
deoxyinosine. Most adenosine responsible for breaking down adenosine 5 triphosphate (ATP) and the

These individuals are referred to as having CID, or leaky SCID and may have less severe infections
than those with SCID.1
DIAGNOSIS
Adenosine deaminase deficiency is usually diagnosed between six months of age and a year. Prenatal
and newborn screenings can discover the ADA deficiency.1 Usually newborns that have a family
history of SCID are screened. However, as early identification of SCID can result in life saving
interventions before infections occur, many states have added SCID to their newborn screening panel.
A test for ADA deficiency usually demonstrates the low number or absence of ADA activity in red
blood cells. ADA deficiency is diagnosed when there is 1% of normal ADA catalytic activity in lysates
of washed red blood cells from heparin or EDTA anticoagulated blood, reduced S
adenosylhomocysteine hydrolase activity and elevated urinary deoxyadenosine nucleotides in red
blood cells and very low T, B and NK lymphocyte counts in peripheral

Three Patterns Of Pluralism
Quiz on Patterns of Pluralism
1. Briefly describe the three patterns of pluralism and give one example of each.
Ans: The three patterns of pluralism are as follow; Domination, Power Sharing, and Integrations.
Domination: it is also known as the pattern of interethnic relation in which one can inspire the ethnic
community. Which is usually in control of the state organization, except limit or otherwise subordinate
members of the other ethnic communities. There are two major type of domination; exclusionary and
inclusionary.
a) Exclusionary: it can be formal or non formal. The main effect for either case is structure of ethnic
stratification with equal rights, status, and opportunities available to individuals due to their ethnic
origin.
b) Inclusionary: it is a type of domination in which it can be implemented by the strategy to influence

b) Consociationalism: It is define as a process of power sharing, in which more than one ethnic
community come together and agree for a leadership to mutually acknowledge the right and interest of
one another. Share a common government, which is made by the agreement of rule and understanding.
Example: The good example of power sharing can be the stable federal states of India, Canada, and
Switzerland which are mobilized homeland of the people who would not hold together for the
autonomy and self government provided by their federal structure.
Integrations: it is the application of the principles of liberal individualism to ethnic relations. Also it is

Danny Devito Research Paper
One person who has truly influenced my view of myself, the world around me, and the true personal
sovereignty governing my future is Danny DeVito. Danny DeVito has taught me to believe in myself.
His versatile acting and many talents inspire me to pursue my dreams despite physical flaws that
others say should get in my way. Danny DeVito is a beautiful man with talents that surpass that of any
actor who has graced the big screen.
Danny DeVito could do anything, including taking up the roles of some truly iconic movies. Instead of
the beloved Daniel Radcliffe assuming the role of Harry Potter in the Harry Potter films; it could have
been the equally short but arguably more charming Danny DeVito. The image of Danny DeVito
swathed in Hogwarts robes as he fights Voldemort and falls in love with Ginny comes effortlessly.

Pride and Prejudice is a masterpiece, and Danny DeVito could have been staring down Mr. Darcy and
delivering witty lines to spite Colin Firth. Danny DeVito could watch as Colin Firth emerged from the

and was frustrated with his own assumptions and prejudices is an image that is no stretch of the
imagination. Danny DeVito can sing. Danny DeVito could be Sandy in Grease, singing alongside John

Adr In Family Law Case Analysis
Critically analyse whether ADR methods such as mediation offer a better forum for resolving family
law disputes than the courts, thus providing greater access to justice:
Alternative Dispute Resolution has become one of the most central and significant changes to the
family law system since the 1980 s with the emergence of mediation as an alternative form of
achieving justice. The main form of ADR used in family law is family mediation, and is now known
in Australia as family dispute resolution (FDR). The concept was first introduced as a means to reduce
conflict, improve communication and co parental cooperation, produce better agreements in less time
and expense and lead to more compliance with agreements (Kelly 1996 373). Since the first ... Show

Only 1.5% of ATSI families use the FDR services. The AIFS evaluation of 2006 family law reforms
has shown that many practitioners lack the confidence when engaging with CALD and Indigenous
families. There are specific barriers to ATSI and CALD families such as s in the poor delivery of
culturally specific or appropriate services by providers and the lack of trust in mediation services.
Furthermore CALD face many communication barriers and culturally differences. There is clearly
greater need for family dispute practitioners to address issues of cultural competency. The NADRAC
2009 has suggested that culturally appropriate practices are essential to better engage with the local
CALD and ATSI populations. Culturally reflexive practices may help enhance the responsiveness to
cultural contexts of families in dispute resolution. Furthermore employing FDR practitioners, who
speak the languages of the CALD communities in the local area, may also help to increase the cultural
competency of staff and increase the barriers faced by CALD

The Problem Of Pop Culture
What pops into your mind first when you think of popular culture in today s day and age? The latest
dirt on celebrities or the latest iPhone release? The latest controversial issue or the latest iTunes hit?
Regardless, pop culture encompasses all four of these concepts and many more, which consume the
world we live in each and every day. Think about education. At first thought, your mind may not make
the connection between the newest Taylor Swift song and the highest ACT score, but the linkage
between the two becomes undeniable when you dive deeper. Ponder this: each day millions of kids
walk into school buildings across the United States, each of them glued to a little slice of pop culture,
a.k.a. their phone. And each day these millions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Pop culture butts in here, for it idolizes the elite. Pop culture tells those who take either of these
college admission tests that those who score higher are better, and that is a detrimental effect on one s
self esteem.
Let s now focus specifically on what these dreaded tests value: rapid cognition. Malcolm Gladwell
points out something many people don t realize, Snap judgements and rapid cognition take place
behind a locked door (Blink 51). In other words, Gladwell says you don t know why your body tells
you to do something or not to do something because those decisions are made behind a locked door.
The ACT and SAT force their contenders to make numerous, rapid decisions because of their time
constraint, which increases the amount of silly mistakes students could avoid if the tests allotted more
time. Further, what the tests value frustrates many students because they deny the importance of
practical intelligence, something psychologist Robert Sternberg defines as the particular skill that
allows you to talk your way out of a murder rap, or convince your professor to move you from the
morning to the afternoon section (Gladwell Outliers 101). Tying this into the pop culture aspect, how
do you think unknown people suddenly become celebrities? Although most attain popularity from
sheer talent, lots of them possess this practical intelligence,

Characteristics Of Chimpanzee
Throughout the world, there are multitudes of different species between the monkey and ape families.
Chimpanzees follow under the species of the great apes which consist of the common chimpanzee;
that most people are familiar with. The chimpanzee lives in the dense tropical rainforest of Africa.
With this is mind, chimpanzees have been made to have certain features that allows them to survive
effectively within their environment.
One of the essential features of chimpanzees is their size. A chimpanzee generally weighs around 70
130 lbs and reaches the height of 4 5.5ft. Along with their size, fur is also a critical feature for them to
have in order to thrive. Fur covers the top of its head, back, legs, and arms but does not have fur on its
face, palm of its hands, toes, feet, chest, and stomach area. It would not make sense for a chimpanzee
to have hair on their face because it would interfere with their sight. They don t have hair on their
palms, toes, feet, chest and stomach because they have thick, coarse fur everywhere else which is able
to keep their body temperature regulated. An equally important and easily recognizable feature of a
chimpanzee would be their opposable thumbs. In addition to this, chimpanzee s make up of their
bodies allows them to function in their environment. For instance, chimpanzee jaws are heavy and
protruding, and the canine teeth are large. Their spines are constructed in a way where they can stand
up similar to a human, but they also

American Indians And The American Indian
In present day capitalist Unites States, we value the America Dream as much now as we did over a
century ago. This opportunity of prosperity, success, and upward social mobility, entices the masses to
work hard and achieve set aspirations. The American Dream however, is hindered across the American
Indian population, and in order for this hope of prosperity to come to fruition, American Indians need
to be given the same opportunities as all other ethnic groups. The term American Indian is officially
defined as, a member of one of the indigenous people of the Americas, esp. one of the people
indigenous to the land in what is now the continental United States ( American Indian, OED def.1).
According the U.S Department of Interior Indian Affairs, there are 566 federally recognized Indian
tribes in the Unites State ( Tribal Directory ). Also, the U.S Census gathered that roughly 5.4 million
Americans identify as American Indians ( American Indian/ Alaskan Native Population ). While these
566 tribes may be scattered throughout the United States, most share a common dilemma. There are
many problems plaguing the American Indian population, but a major one has to be the shocking high
rate of unemployment across all tribes. The foundation of a thriving society is the prosperity of its
people, without sufficient employment American Indian society as a whole suffers. The U.S Bureau of
Labor and Statistics shows that around 1 in every 4 American Indians live in poverty, and as of

Innovation Location Matters Summary
The article Innovation: Location Matters discusses how the challenges for competiveness in advanced
nations and regions has changed. It elaborates on how organizations must create and commercialize a
stream of new products and processes that shift the technology frontier. Companies must be able to
innovate to sustain competitive advantage by acquiring and deploying the best current technology.
Location matters for innovation, and companies must broaden their approaches to the management of
innovation accordingly: by developing and commercializing innovation in the most attractive location,
taking active steps to access locational strengths, and proactively enhancing the environment for
innovation and commercialization in locations where they operate (Porter Stern, 2001).
Analysis
The authors of the article, Innovation: Location Matters are Michael Porter and Scott Stern. Michael
Porter is an economist, researcher, author, advisor, speaker and teacher. Throughout his career at
Harvard Business School, he has brought economic theory and strategy concepts to bear on many of
the most challenging problems facing corporations, economies and societies, including market

The Ethical Use Of Student Dress Codes In Schools

Reasons For The Articles Of Confederation
What were some of the reasons that the Articles of Confederation needed some revision? The Articles
of Confederation needed revisions for several reasons. The first reason being that the articles created a
weak government. Secondly, there were many weaknesses that were evident and required immediate
attention. The weaknesses that were the most important were that the government could not establish a
mandatory taxation, did not have control over commerce and the nation lacked overall unity. These
weaknesses lead states to reject the original articles because these problems could simply not be
overlooked. The need for a stronger government, as well as solutions to the weaknesses presented, led

RQ-7 Shadow
The continued development of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) creates new capabilities and
continually improves legacy platforms. A system in development over the years is the RQ 7 Shadow.
This platform has a wide verity of uses and capabilities ranging from tactical to strategic mission sets.
The United States developed this system to provide Brigade (BDE) commanders with improved
capabilities and situational awareness within their area or responsibility (AOR) (TC 2 22.7, 2011).
Through these advancements UAS are improving the capabilities within the geospatial intelligence
(GEOINT) profession by helping to solve GEOINT intelligence problem sets. The United States
military used UAS technology during WWII and the Vietnam wars. However, the development of the
RQ 7 Shadow did not start until 1991. It was first flown by the Army for testing in 1992 and mass
production began in 1999. Manufacturers delivered the RQ 7 Shadow to army units in 2001 and began
operations in 2002 (Military Periscope, 2014). The most common payload the RQ 7 carries is the Plug
in Optronic Payload visible/Infrared (P.O.P. visible/IR). The P.O.P. visible/IR payload gives the
shadow capabilities to shoot full motion video (FMV) day and night, daytime TV during the day, and

A Taste Of Power By Elaine Brown
A Taste of Power was written by Elaine Brown who grew up in a poor neighborhood in Philadelphia
and sensed what it meant to be black people, female, and poor American. Elaine Brown described her
experiences as a woman in the inner circle of the Central Committee. In contrast to the black men s
narratives of their experiences, Elaine Brown points up defects of the revolutionary vanguard. The
Black Panther Party s buildings of a revolution were actually self righteous; a revolution without the
liberation of Black women from patriarchy would never lead to equality for all. Brown acknowledged,
like many other women in the Black Panther Party that systems of racial and classist oppression were
indeed intertwined with sexism. Though this lens ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Newton envisioned the Black Panther Party leading would never be realized. An important theme in
Elaine Brown s book is the pervasive gender inequality within the party. Many panther women would
agree with Brown on gender inequality, as it was pervasive in many if not all panther chapters. In
addition, she highlights what she thought were causes of the fall of the party, and the changing
platform, which she takes much credit for. Other panther members have addressed these issues as
well. There seems to be some disagreement on what ultimately caused the demise of such an iconic
force, and Brown attempts to piece together the many reasons. Brown had the large task of combating
sexism as well as handling Central Committee conflicts that caused division in the party. She
describes the way state sanctioned violence killed many beloved Panther members, the inter Panther
conflict that caused international tensions to rise and because of her intimate love connection to Huey
Newton also provides a candid view into his mindset. Brown dealt with these conflicts, which at times
seemed unresolvable and eventually left the Black Panther Party after many years of faithful service.
Prior to Brown s assignment as chairman, one could look at the Central Committee of the Black
Panther Party and safely assume that testosterone was a pre requisite for revolution. Women in the

approximate 25% decline in U.S. automotive market share since the 1990s.
In September 2006, Alan Mulally was named the new CEO of Ford. Alan Mulally has an engineering

manufacturing processes into Ford Motor Corp. Mulally has a reputation as a cost cutter and an

America alone. He has solid experience in customer satisfaction, manufacturing, supplier relations,
and labor relations.

Violence As A Cleansing Force Essay
The third aspect of the function of violence in decolonization is violence as a cleansing force. For
Fanon, in the process of decolonization, violence liberates the consciousness of the oppressed people
by erasing their inferiority complex: At the level of individuals, violence is a cleansing force. It frees
the native from his inferiority complex and from his despair and inaction; it makes him fearless and
restores his self respect. [. . .] When the people have taken violent part in the national liberation they
will allow no one to set themselves up as liberators. (The Wretched of the Earth 94) In other words,
Fanon emphasizes violence as a cathartic element through which colonized man can create a sounder
self identity. We can find some famous examples of violence as a cleansing force in American
literature. In Richard Wright s Native Son, Bigger Thomas, the protagonist, feels a sense of freedom
for the first time in his life after he kills Mary Dalton, the white girl, because the violence of murder is
the only practice of rebellion for him to commit throughout his whole life against the structural
violence rampant in a racist society. Max, Bigger s lawyer, explains how Bigger felt after he has killed
Mary Dalton as follows: He murdered Mary Dalton accidentally, without thinking, without plan,
without conscious motive. But, after he murdered, he accepted the crime. And that s the important
thing. It was the first full act of his life; it was the most

The Southern Digest newspaper made its debut in an extremely critical period in December 1995. The
sole purpose of this publication was to dwell on the preservation of the American way of life, i.e., the
principle of segregation of races and the protection of our constitution (Southern Digest, 1955).
Stories and sections were dedicated to providing opinions and information regarding opposition to
both federally mandated public school desegregation as declared by the Supreme Court decision and
the emerging Civil Rights Movement in the southern states. During the issued volume, much of the
content illustrated the recent orders of the Supreme Court for desegregation from earlier in the year as

At this time in the late 1950s, early 1960s, there were non historically black institutions accepting

Nasa project Presentation Overall I think are presentation was good the reason why I think that is. Are
presentation was about the apollo missions one through eleven and what each objective was for each
mission. Each mission was an important role for nasa because they learned many things like the
mistakes they made and the new things they discovered throughout the missions. It s fascinating how
much they were able to achieve in a short period of time.
The apollo missions were like steps for the next mission. The goal at the end was to get the first man
on the moon. It took in total 6 apollo missions to be able to get a man on the moon and back. The
apollo missions where a great achievement for mankind and the united states. Getting a man on the
moon meant that we could go to so many other planets and not just the moon.
Are presentation also went into a little bit of detail on how the race began to the moon against the

documents from different departments together, decided to create software that would allow the

Furthermore Companies also faced the risk that the startup would run out of money and also lack
proven execution experience. Also the technology that Documentum uses while revolutionary has
been only tested with two companies Boeing and Syntex it will be very difficult to explain to potential
clients what exactly the software can bring to them in terms of value and what exactly are the
ramifications of using the software in their companies.
Opportunities
Because Documentum s technology is something new and its concept is revolutionary selecting a
target market presents a challenge. There are many companies that could benefit from this type of
software especially in the areas where the software has already been tested: aircraft maintenance and
pharmaceutical NDA. According to the case, management has retained 5 scenarios (Exhibit 6) that
followed a process developed by Geoffrey Moore. The real problem lies on how does Documentum
goes about selling the product do they go about it vertically or horizontally?
Threats
The major threats that we can discern is the fact that the technology is revolutionary in itself and that
those types of technological advances are most of the time adopted by early visionaries. Furthermore
explaining the technology to potential clients can become a challenge because the clients themselves
don t know what they are looking for and might also not be willing to consider the expenditures
involved in such a project.

but no in depth analysis of it or its significance to the story. It s not surprising that Baldwin would
incorporate his religion as a major part of his story. Many African American writers allude to the Bible
in their works. Much like most African American Christians, Baldwin was intimately acquainted with
the Bible. In fact, he became a member and preacher at his local Harlem church by the age of
fourteen. In his autobiography, he ventures to say that the King James Bible have something to do
with [him] today. Given the vital role of religion in African American writing, Baldwin s history with
the church, and even his own comments on the topic, it is puzzling that such few people have made
mention of the religious aspects of Sonny s Blues. Sonny s Blues is a modern day rewrite of the
parable of the Prodigal Son. That story from Saint Luke s gospel was told by Jesus in

Service Quality—from Definition to Measurement
Service Quality From Definition to Measurement Introduction In recent years, more and more
companies start to concentrate on the quality of their products. The products could be tangible as
physical goods, or intangible like the service. This article is more about the service product. Since the
service has no tangible form, the service quality is difficult to measure. Businesses want to get the
information about the customers perceptions of the service they provided. Then they need to measure
the service quality. A useful tool can be used is a multiple item scale for measuring consumer
perceptions of service quality called SERVQUAL. There is also another tool called SERVPERF which
has the conflict with SERVQUAL. As the debate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Overall, the service quality and consumer satisfaction are fairly relevant. Service quality measurement
Due to the intangibility of service quality, it is very difficult for a firm to know whether the consumers
satisfy their service or not. Although it is difficult to measure service quality, it is still a development
of a multiple item scale for measuring service quality which is called SERVQUAL (Parasuraman et al.
1988). The SERVQUAL was developed originally based on the 10 potentially dimensions which
revealed by Parasuraman et al. (1985) as access, courtesy, communication, tangibles,
understanding/knowing the customer, responsiveness, reliability, security, competence, and credibility.
But the final dimensions of the SERVQUAL are only five, tangibles, reliability, responsiveness,
assurance, empathy (Parasuraman et al. 1988). As the five dimensions have some relationship with the
difficult of measuring service quality. First one is the tangibles which include the physical facilities,
equipment and appearance of personnel that will affect the service quality by the external
environment. Reliability and the other three dimensions are all the internal effects which relate to the
service producer him or herself. These four dimensions are more difficult to control than the external
one which is tangibles. Both of the expectations of the consumer to the service and perceptions of the
provider s performance can be assessed by the SERVQUAL method (McAlexander

Mini Ice Age Research Paper
According to a study performed by the University of Northumbria (https://www.northumbria.ac.uk/)
of the United Kingdom, Earth s northern hemisphere should be experiencing a mini ice age in the next
15 years. However, new research shows that this may not be the case after all. This could just be a
case of confusing causation with correlation, but that doesn t forgive the phenomenal news being
released without confirmation and having the claim be refuted mere days later.
The Original Claim
The claim of the new mini ice age first came about after the UK s National Astronomy Meeting
(https://www.ras.org.uk/component/gem/?id=338) suggested that the sun may have a period of
significantly lowered output. This is not a new claim. Solar activity fluctuations ... Show more content

On the other hand, even basic science classes teach us that correlation does not equal causation.
Why This is Wrong
The lowered amount of solar activity in the 1600 s is referred to as the Maunder Minimum
(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maunder_Minimum). The Maunder Minimum was a period of time
where the sunspots were at their lowest in number, appearing as only around 50 as opposed to their
current average of 40,000 to 50,000 over a course of 30 years. This decrease in sunspots happened
approximately the same time as the Little Ice Age, however, the ice age started nearly a century before
the Maunder Minimum occurred and lasted long after it ended.
Solar Change and the Effects on Earth
That s not to say that links between solar activity and Earth s climate don t exist, however; they clearly
do. There are just other factors that may be more influential. For example, the amount of power the
sun produces, or solar irradiance, is reduced by only 0.1% during this time of less frequent sunspots.
However, the amount of ultraviolet output over a solar cycle can deposit energy in our stratosphere
that is a direct causation of colder winters in Europe at

Youth And The Hip Hop Youth Culture
Australian Youth Culture
Introduction
Youth has various definitions. It can be considered as a state of mind, a life stage, or a stage of
development. Youth can also be considered as a creation of marketing and a demographic category.
Youth cultures as well as subcultures based on the theory or theories applied refer to cultures that in
most part comprise of young people as the members. Youth cultures are determined by ways of living
and they revolve around peer groups that stress a definitive style of living as an external designation of
affiliation and appearance. In this essay, I will analyse how globalisation, popular culture, and
consumerism emerge as factors that influence the participation of young people in the hip hop youth
culture in Australia. I will also apply the human ecological theory in order to facilitate the
understanding of factors that affect youth participation in the hip hop culture.
Culture is generally described as a way of life. It entails the meanings, values, practices, and beliefs
that are usually contrasted with structure, nature, and biology (Alim, 2006). As a concept, culture can
be divided into two. The first classification of culture is the expressive culture form which comprises
of argot, artifact, behaviour, and clothing that constitute the expression of a given youth culture (ibid).
The second classification of culture is the impressive form of culture content. This implies to the
culture meaning (ibid). In the same vein, youth

Business- How Key Elements of Marketting Achieve Success
Our success is a direct result of knowing how to market a brand and having the right people
representing the brand (Norman, 2009). Marketing is a key element in the success of any business.
The elements of marketing incorporate: situational analysis, market objectives, the target market and
marketing strategies.
Most marketing plans begin with an executive summary, providing a brief summary of the current
issues affecting a business. It is crucial in identifying key features of a marketing plan. Following the
executive summary a business finds out its current position in the market using a situational analysis.
A situational analysis is an exceptional way to open the marketing plan as covers four components in a

Mass markets consist of all consumers, taking into account all factors market. Segment markets target
one area of the market and need to focus greatly on price and promotion. Niche markets being the
smallest are very specific in what they sell and have a tight customer base. Imax theatres use market
segmentation to attack and promote their films to all of the market. For example in using geographical
locations they target Sydney siders as a major segment accounting for 60% of sales. This is then
broken further down into more specific areas such as schools and tourists. In doing this they have the
ability to target consumers more specifically. They may target schools by screening educational films
or by giving them a discount for an entire class.
The final component used to achieve success in the marketing business scenarios are strategies. These
are market strategies or methods that are used to achieve the previous component; market objectives.
The main strategies adopted by business are the marketing mix. This consists of the four P s, product,
prices, promotion and place. An ideal way to demonstrate how these are crucial in success is the
expansion on the Imax case study. Elaborating on the Imax target markets are the strategies it uses to

2008 Global Economic Crisis
Due to globalizations and open trade unions, economies are more linked to each other.
So, the economic crisis in 2008 became the global economic crisis and influenced international
businesses. Economic activities were weakened, people lost their jobs, wages and benefits were
reduced and unemployment was rising. As far as the US government wanted to keep US economy
going they reduced already low interest rates and slowed down economic growth. US bank losses
were forecast to hit $1 trillion and European bank losses will reach $1.6 trillion. The International
Monetary Fund (IMF) estimated that US banks were about 60% through their losses, but British and
eurozone banks only 40%. (Lost Spaces, 2009). Financial systems, in this case, created the financial
crisis with devastating social and economic effects. Key impacts of the crisis are slow economic

Rhetorical Analysis Of Attack Of The Zombies By Rodney Clapp
The Life of a Zombie
Rodney Clapp, writer, editor for Wipf and Stock Publishers and expert in topics such as theology and
culture, in the article, Attack of the Zombies , argues that many things in life are beginning to
resemble zombies. Clapp assumes that the audience also views zombies as lifeless creatures that go
around spreading their disease. The author s purpose is to persuade the audience to believe that many
things they see today are starting to resemble zombies. The author writes in a challenging tone for
people who question the similarity of zombies to every day life. Clapp supports his argument by
comparing and contrasting, and exemplification.
Clapp assumes that the audience sees zombies as creatures that serve no purpose, but to spread their
contagion. He refers to this in his article when asking the questions of what would you do if a loved
one was turned into a zombie. This scenario is hard to choose between because it makes the audience
feel challenged on what they would do in a situation like that. They aren t sure if they would save
someone they love by helping them or save themselves. This is significant to the argument because he
is trying to prove that we all see zombies are deathly and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Because I have a theory about the sinking of the titanic. I believe that captain smith was the person

think captain smith is responsible is because of the iceberg warning thing. One iceberg warning is ok

spoke about the difficulties of race relations and brought attention to what blacks went through to get
to where they are today. Martin Luther King Jr. was a respected figure and had a dream for equality

striking incongruities appeared between the needs and moods of the black ghetto and the goals and
strategies of the civil rights crusade, as typified by the leadership of Martin Luther King Jr., and
voiced in his lyrical dream (Van Woodward, 193). In 1896, the court case of Plessy vs. Ferguson ruled
that the states had the right to legally segregate public facilities. This court ruling fueled the fire of
Southerners in regards to race relations, leading to the Jim Crow laws. These laws went as far as to say
blacks could not cut a white person s hair, drink from the same water fountain as a white person, and
established a test for blacks to take prior to getting a ballot. The Strange Career of Jim Crow is a book

Slaying the Dragon: How Asian Women were Portrayed in Movies
Slaying the Dragon by Deborah Gee is a comprehensive look at media stereotypes of Asian and Asian
American women since the silent era. From the racist use of white actors to portray Asians in early
Hollywood films, through the success of Anna May Wong s sinister dragon lady, to Suzie Wong and
the 50s geisha girls, to the Asian American anchorwoman of today. The movie also shows how
stereotypes of exoticism and docility have affected the perception of Asian American women.
In many movies Asian women are sexually stereotyped as exotic, subservient, compliant, industrious,
and eager to please. If not that, Japanese women are shown to be inherently scheming, untrustworthy,

In the movie three Asian American women tell their story bout their lives in China and American life.
Nowhere in the movie are Asian American women presented as sexually subservient, but it presents
realistically the lives of these Asian women.
Historically in western drama, Asian women have been portrayed in a highly negative light. The Asian
women in films like Sayonara and The San Pebbles and musicals like Miss Saigon are seen as people
who are submissive and silent. A young American soldier is often involved in these plots, as most of
these plots are war dramas. The Asian girl falls in love with the American because she sees him as a
savior who will take her back home with him so she can fulfill what she thinks is the American Dream
, meaning that she can go from rags to riches. On the contrary, the American falls in love with the
Asian girl because he feels preference for submissiveness, which he finds more feminine and
attractive. As well, the American is embodied with the Christopher Columbus Syndrome , and feels
that he has to dominate her. This passive eastern femininity in relation to western male dominance is
portrayed in these dramas.
Because of this portrayal of Asian women, many Asian women feel that they are being approached by
men in a bad way. The submissiveness and weakness of these characters have angered many. Western
dramas have portrayed Asian women as submissive and

important? The writing of A Lincoln Preface is a upstanding writing that Carl Sandburg wrote. Carl
describes extremely well what Lincoln looked like and how Lincoln was a good person. Carl also put
his own interpretation into his writing. For example on page 456 Carl wrote He is the chosen

McPhee did the same thing in his writings. John knew how his character was it was almost like he

I Do Believe That If You Haven t Learnt About Sadness,...
I do believe that if you haven t learnt about sadness, you cannot appreciate happiness. Nana
Mouskouri. Nana Mouskouri came up with this quote during her singing career, when a fan asked her
how she came to be such an amazing singer. Nana Mouskouri mentioned that she had a lot of rough
patches along the way with managers dropping her, but in the end, she ended up on top. In other
words, it will be easier to appreciate the good times if you ve already been through bad times. This
quote is appealing because it applies to a variety of situations. Every person has hard times, and every
person has happy times, but this quote could bring the two together. Therefore, many people would
agree with this quote. Many different people lived by this quote, and they ended up appreciating the
good times more after they went through the bad ones.
One person that followed this quote is Nelson Mandela; He worked hard through legal troubles,
relationship problems, and accusations for something he wanted for a long time. These long and
tedious times, including the lengthy court trials, led to racial tension ease, which Mandela wanted for a
long time (Academic American Encyclopedia). He went through the long trials until he got his wish of
the racial tension ease. People should live by this quote because it demonstrates there are sad times in
life, like Mandela s court trials, but once people get through them, they can be more appreciative of
what makes them happy. In Mandela s case, what

Antoine Arnauld s Argument Analysis
In objection to Descartes reasoning behind his attempt to establish that what is true, is clear and
distinct perception, Antoine Arnauld argues his reasoning is circular. Before explaining why
circularity is evident, I will first consider what Descartes truth rule really consists of. After
establishing cogito ergo sum , Descartes uses the same logical terminology in which the cogito was
established, to attempt to find other truths in the external world. However, as the is no causality
between cogito and external truths, some further proof is required for Descartes. This is at the point
Descartes introduces the argument for Gods existence and hence, we get the truth rule established. He
argues that God exists and is not a deceiver, in which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With Descartes distinction between what we perceive clearly and distinctly, and what we remember
having perceived clearly and distinctly. In order for something to be certain, it must at least have
duration in the mind. This means that even when not concentrated on, it is still knowledge with the
potential to be certain. Some beliefs, on the other hand, can be certain without God s existence for
their truth, but only for as long as they are concentrated on. Such beliefs are clear and distinct, and
therefore true, when thought of and not dependent upon a non deceiving God that would assure us of
their truth. Their truth is established by their being clear and distinct when concentrated on. The
contradiction lies with what Descartes considers eternal truths , that geometrical facts, such as the area
of a circle is equal to πr^2, or the fact that three angles of a triangle are equal to two right angles, are
all only true because of Gods existence and non deceptive nature. This with consideration to Descartes
response to Arnauld, leaves up with the implication that an eternal truth is only true once we clearly
and distinctly perceive it, and then not true, when the attentiveness of geometric truths leaves our
mind; sounding like a

America As A Melting Pot
As soon as someone calls the United States a melting pot, I immediately picture the School House
Rock music video in which hundreds of happy immigrants dive into the pot to swim together in
harmony. The idea of America as a melting pot is, on the surface, a good intentioned metaphor that
carries with it the implication of our unity within one, uniquely American culture. Unfortunately, this
metaphor carries negative connotations as well, including forced assimilation into the majority as you
melt away into the mix. Imagine five pieces of chocolate, one white, added to a heated saucepan;
eventually, it all turns brown. Despite the multiplicity of cultures added to this melting pot, something
is lost in the final product: diversity. In a melting pot, it is suggested that we blend together; we are
indistinct; we are Americans united in one culture, one language, one creed. Simply stated, this is not
an accurate representation of our country s culture or its citizens. I find the stew to be a much more
appropriate metaphor. Even when heated and stirred, a stew maintains its individual elements
(potatoes, beef, onions, carrots, celery, etc.), but also allows for some transfer of flavors. The beef
flavor is infused with notes of carrot and onion; the carrots have the added flavors of the broth and
beef. The stew continues to have unique, individual elements, but it tastes better in tangent with other
flavors. This is a more fitting description of America, as citizens

accompanied by the sounds of birds and waves, which are shown to be transporting him to an alternate
dream world. However, whenever he attempts to go back to writing the script, he experiences more
dead silence. During other times, as he was writing, he would hear a long, synthesized tone that was
frequently non progressive in a similar fashion as his script. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The success of the brothers not just as as film producers, but also editors, writers, and directors is
beyond impressive. A massive part of their success can be attributed to their effectiveness in their
employment of dramatic and cinematography tools, one of which is music. The films that the brothers
have produced since their debut in the early 1980s are consistent with the sensitivity in which music
and sound is heavily is utilized, making the films and unique come alive, while ensuring that the
audience remains entertained. Their efficient use of music also ensures that the audience does not get
bored with the film since there is minimal monotony in most of their films. Another factor that has
contributed to their success in the movie industry is their unpredictability that makes it hard for the
viewers to predict the next occurrence or scene in their movies. The unpredictability is also evident in
their use of music all over their films. All in all, the films produced by the Coen brothers are often
carefully crafted and designed not only for the maximum entertainment of the viewers but also the
effective communication and relay of the core message. It is easy to dismiss the immense importance
of music and sound in a film, but watching movies by the Coen brothers greatly proves one otherwise.
It is beyond evident that music is a fundamental aspect that all

Greece And China Similarities
Greece and China have many differences between them, with the first and foremost being that they
both are set in different continents with Greece being in Europe and China being in Asia. Another
difference between them is the currency they use. While Greece uses the Euro. China, on the other
hand, uses the Renminbi. Still yet, another difference between them is that while China s economy is
becoming stronger and richer it seems daily, Greece s economy seems to be becoming weaker and
poorer with each passing day. Although Greece and China do have many differences they also have
many similarities with one being that they both have a strong sense of family values in that they both
believe in taking care of their family members, protecting them, and supporting them for as long ...

They are also alike in that they both have oceanic coastlines and they both rely on the exports of goods
to support their economy s. Another interesting fact that is similar between both Greece and China is
that they both have large mountains in their regions with Greece s being Mount Olympus with also
being the largest mountain in Europe and China s largest mountain being Mount Everest which also
happens to be the biggest mountain in the world. Even though Greece and China have many things
alike and many things different, I think that the greatest things about both of them that people already
do like or will like is that they are both two very beautiful countries filled with lots of ancient beliefs
and customs, mixed together with many new, modern day technologies that cause them to be places
filled with many exciting and wonderful things that have and will fill a person s heart, and mind with a
sense of awe and fascination causing them to want to visit them time and time

Crisis Communication Strategy
The company eBay Inc. is an American multinational Internet consumer to consumer corporation.
Founded in 1995 by Pierre Omidyar in San Jose, California, it is now a multi billion dollar business
with operations localized in over thirty countries including China and India. It s main enterprise is
eBay.com, an online auction and shopping website that allows people and businesses to buy and sell a
broad variety of goods and services internationally. Millions of collectibles, décor, appliances,
computers, furnishings, equipment, domain names, vehicles, services, intangibles and other
miscellaneous items are listed, bought, or sold daily on eBay. Anything can be auctioned on the site as
long as it is not illegal and does not violate the eBay s Prohibited and Restricted Items policy.
Since eBay is a huge, widely used company that is constantly in the public s eye and has a worldwide
reach, I thought it would be an adequate choice as a global transnational corporation that I would
create a preparedness plan for, predicting three possible crises and appropriate responses, protocols
and planned messages for each scenario. The first crisis to plague this company is that the site goes
down. The second crisis is that eBay s secret partnership with data brokers is exposed, and the final
crisis is that terrorists hack into the site and cipher private member information. This essay will
attempt to combat the crises and lessen the blow of actual damages inflicted to the company.

How Gender Roles Have Played A Big Part Of The History Essay
Gender roles have played a big part of the history of this country and in this new day and age are
becoming more progressive. Women in men gender roles are not at all such a horrendous idea. In
some cases, jobs traditionally performed by men, were done better by female employees but some
some careers are specifically meant for men. Women should not take part in military combat or any
career that carries the same physical demands. Here are two examples accompanied by arguments an
evidence that argue the above statement.
In this film a team of astronauts is forced to make a decision that leaves one of their own behind.
During a violent storm, while on Mars, commander Lewis (Jessica Chastain) is forced to leave one of
her astronauts when Mark Watney is struck by debris. He is presumed dead and is considered a great
loss to NASA, the Nation. Soon enough headquarters discovers that Watney is alive and they begin to
formulate a resupply and rescue mission. When NASA reveals to the Ares III crew that Watney is still
alive, they are given the choice to retrieve Watney themselves. As the crew begins to work together to
get Watney back, they run into vital issues that could cause theirs and Watney s death. (The Martian,
2015)
Now when a person thinks of a commander, a male figure comes to mind. For example, the
Commander in Chief is the nation s president whom has been a man the past forty five presidencies.
The commander of the Ares III is Melissa Lewis, despite being a woman, her

It s more like a brewing process which eventually turns into vinegar after a second fermentation. If you don t have all the time or resources to make one at home, you can easily purchase ACV from any departmental stores. A chimpanzee generally weighs around 70 130 lbs and reaches the height of 4 5.5ft. Along with their size, fur is also a critical feature for them to have in order to thrive. Fur covers the top of its head, back, legs, and arms but does not have fur on its face, palm of its hands, toes, feet, chest, and stomach area. In contrast to the black men s narratives of their experiences, Elaine Brown points up defects of the revolutionary vanguard. The Black Panther Party s buildings of a revolution were actually self righteous; a revolution without the liberation of Black women from patriarchy would never lead to equality for all. In addition, she highlights what she thought were causes of the fall of the party, and the changing platform, which she takes much credit for. Other panther members have addressed these issues as well. There seems to be some disagreement on what ultimately caused the demise of such an iconic force, and Brown attempts to piece together the many reasons. Brown had the large task of combating sexism as well as handling Central Committee conflicts that caused division in the party. She describes the way state sanctioned violence killed many beloved Panther members, the inter Panther conflict that caused international tensions to rise and because of her intimate love connection to Huey Newton also provides a candid view into his mindset. Brown dealt with these conflicts, which at times seemed unresolvable and eventually left the Black Panther Party after many years of faithful service. For Fanon, in the process of decolonization, violence liberates the consciousness of the oppressed people by erasing their inferiority complex: At the level of individuals, violence is a cleansing force. It frees the native from his inferiority complex and from his despair and inaction; it makes him fearless and restores his self respect. [. . .] When the people have taken violent part in the national liberation they will allow no one to set themselves up as liberators. (The Wretched of the Earth 94) In other words, Fanon emphasizes violence as a cathartic element through which colonized man can create a sounder self identity. This decrease in sunspots happened approximately the same time as the Little Ice Age, however, the ice age started nearly a century before the Maunder Minimum occurred and lasted long after it ended. Solar Change and the Effects on Earth That s not to say that links between solar activity and Earth s climate don t exist, however; they clearly do. There are just other factors that may be more influential. For example, the amount of power the sun produces, or solar irradiance, is reduced by only 0.1% during this time of less frequent sunspots. However, the amount of ultraviolet output over a solar cycle can deposit energy in our stratosphere that is a direct causation of colder winters in Europe at ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Youth can also be considered as a creation of marketing and a demographic category. Youth cultures as well as subcultures based on the theory or theories applied refer to cultures that in most part comprise of young people as the members. Youth cultures are determined by ways of living and they revolve around peer groups that stress a definitive style of living as an external designation of affiliation and appearance. In this essay, I will analyse how globalisation, popular culture, and consumerism emerge as factors that influence the participation of young people in the hip hop youth culture in Australia. I will also apply the human ecological theory in order to facilitate the understanding of factors that affect youth participation in the hip hop culture. Culture is generally described as a way of life. It entails the meanings, values, practices, and beliefs that are usually contrasted with structure, nature, and biology (Alim, 2006). As a concept, culture can be divided into two. The first classification of culture is the expressive culture form which comprises of argot, artifact, behaviour, and clothing that constitute the expression of a given youth culture (ibid). The second classification of culture is the impressive form of culture content. This implies to the culture meaning (ibid). In the same vein, youth ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Antoine Arnauld s Argument Analysis In objection to Descartes reasoning behind his attempt to establish that what is true, is clear and distinct perception, Antoine Arnauld argues his reasoning is circular. Before explaining why circularity is evident, I will first consider what Descartes truth rule really consists of. After establishing cogito ergo sum , Descartes uses the same logical terminology in which the cogito was established, to attempt to find other truths in the external world. However, as the is no causality between cogito and external truths, some further proof is required for Descartes. This is at the point Descartes introduces the argument for Gods existence and hence, we get the truth rule established. He argues that God exists and is not a deceiver, in which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... With Descartes distinction between what we perceive clearly and distinctly, and what we remember having perceived clearly and distinctly. In order for something to be certain, it must at least have duration in the mind. This means that even when not concentrated on, it is still knowledge with the potential to be certain. Some beliefs, on the other hand, can be certain without God s existence for their truth, but only for as long as they are concentrated on. Such beliefs are clear and distinct, and therefore true, when thought of and not dependent upon a non deceiving God that would assure us of their truth. Their truth is established by their being clear and distinct when concentrated on. The contradiction lies with what Descartes considers eternal truths , that geometrical facts, such as the area of a circle is equal to πr^2, or the fact that three angles of a triangle are equal to two right angles, are all only true because of Gods existence and non deceptive nature. This with consideration to Descartes response to Arnauld, leaves up with the implication that an eternal truth is only true once we clearly and distinctly perceive it, and then not true, when the attentiveness of geometric truths leaves our mind; sounding like a ... America As A Melting Pot As soon as someone calls the United States a melting pot, I immediately picture the School House Rock music video in which hundreds of happy immigrants dive into the pot to swim together in harmony. The idea of America as a melting pot is, on the surface, a good intentioned metaphor that carries with it the implication of our unity within one, uniquely American culture. Unfortunately, this metaphor carries negative connotations as well, including forced assimilation into the majority as you melt away into the mix. Imagine five pieces of chocolate, one white, added to a heated saucepan; eventually, it all turns brown. Despite the multiplicity of cultures added to this melting pot, something is lost in the final product: diversity. In a melting pot, it is suggested that we blend together; we are indistinct; we are Americans united in one culture, one language, one creed. Simply stated, this is not an accurate representation of our country s culture or its citizens. I find the stew to be a much more appropriate metaphor. Even when heated and stirred, a stew maintains its individual elements (potatoes, beef, onions, carrots, celery, etc.), but also allows for some transfer of flavors. The beef flavor is infused with notes of carrot and onion; the carrots have the added flavors of the broth and beef. The stew continues to have unique, individual elements, but it tastes better in tangent with other flavors. This is a more fitting description of America, as citizens ...
