the small intestines (GI tract) during a chronic inflammatory disease, diabetes mellitus (type 2
diabetes). ABCA1 and G1 are important in the regulation of glucose levels in the blood in the small
intestine when type 2 diabetes is present. The relationship of the gastrointestinal tract and diabetes
mellitus has become increasingly important in the scientific community. The GI tract plays a key role
in glucose homeostasis. The GI tract becomes inflamed in the presence of diabetes mellitus causing
various complications. ABCA1 and ABCG1 play important parts in glucose homeostasis, insulin
secretion, and cell survival. However, these transporter proteins, in normal conditions, are
overshadowed by other molecules with similar functions. Interestingly, ABCA1 and ABCG1 have
inflammatory functions as well. Type 2 diabetes is an inflammatory disease. If ABCA1 and ABCG1
are increased in an inflamed intestine, as in the case of diabetes mellitus, then these molecules are a
direct alteration from this disease because these molecules have anti inflammatory functions and the
inflammation of the intestine is a primary cause.

The objective of this study is to evaluate audit tenure, industry specialization, and firm size and its
correlation to financial restatements. A client s restatements suggest low audit quality because it
indicates that the client s financial statements are not in line with GAAP. I analyzed a sample of 250
firm year restatements from public companies during 2008 to 2012. I gathered the data using
COMPUSTAT and AuditAnalytics. For my results, I have found that auditor tenure has a negative
correlation with financial restatement. I also found that industry expertise has a negative correlation
with financial restatements. Further, it appears that firm size has no correlation with financial

allows a plant to go through photosynthesis and produce glucose. Sunlight contains all of the colors of

Without light, a plant cannot grow, reproduce, or photosynthesize. Chlorophyll traps light energy from

Blue light has one of the largest effects on a plant s development. Multiple studies have shown that

The debates over immigration and immigration policy did not develop in recent memory. In fact, one
could argue that the debates over this issue date back to antiquity. During Biblical times people did not
agree with each other regarding immigration. Even the authors of the Scriptures had different opinions
about immigration. Matthew and Paul are two New Testament authors who each discuss the topic of
immigration in their writings. Matthew did so in the second chapter of his Gospel, and Paul, in the
