The play Trifles by Susan Glaspell is an interesting story about a woman named Mrs.Minnie Wright.
Mrs. Minnie wright does not actually take part in the scene but is actually the main character
throughout the play. The focus of the play is about whether or not Minnie Wright did in fact murder
her husband, John Wright or did he commit suicide. Throughout the scene, they bring in people to
look over or find evidence that can be used to give testimony at her trial. Mrs. Minnie wright should
be found innocent of her husband s death, It does not matter if she had a part in his death or not. The
fact that she was not happy because of her husband s attitude towards her tells the audience that she
was not happy and was a captive in what was supposed to be her home.
Mrs.Minnie Wright does not deserve to be condemned for the crime of murdering of her husband.
Mrs.Wright should not be condemned to prison or death because she has already suffered enough

If you Google the definition of community one of the options will say, A feeling of fellowship with
others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. Now there are many different
communities I could fit in with. I could have done this on the Hispanic community, the Huntsville
community, or something else, but I chose the EAST community. A community that has students,
teachers, mentors, friends, volunteers, and role models. East is a very large United States organization
that stands for Environmental and Spatial Technology. I have been in this program for a while now
back in my hometown s high school. It mostly consist of students trying to be able to stand out in the
workforce when they get out of school. They learn new abilities like ArcGIS, 3D printing, Photoshop,
basic medical training, and other occupations. This program has been up since 1996. I joined it my
first year of freshmen year. I have meet so many interesting people, and learned so many new things
just by being part of the program. People all over have been changed by EAST one way or another.

so it took much less time than more complex versions. The reconstruction consisted of using the taken
apart printer for the base of the machine. The printer worked as a sturdy base because of its size and
shape. It was laid on its side so that the paper tray was sticking into the air. A motor was then gathered
from one of the printers that was deconstructed. The group chose the largest of the motors to ensure
that it would be able to lift a golf ball to meet the criteria for success. The motor was secured to the

Alexander Pushkin and Robert Frost both have written poems about autumn. There is a correlation
between these two poems since they share many romantic features. Autumn and After Apple Picking
are both alike and different in many ways. Alexander Pushkin was born in Moscow, Russia and lived
from 1799 until 1837. He wrote from a very young age, not only writing poetry, but also dramas and
novels. He died in a duel when he was 39 years old. Autumn is a poem that contains many of the
elements of romanticism. The first quality is feelings. This whole poem oozes the feelings of Pushkin.
The first line is October comes at last. The feeling of relief is obvious, and there is a sense of an event
finally coming. It is as if his patience was being tested and wearing thin. He could hardly wait for
autumn. In the second stanza he writes, This is my time! What is the spring to me? Spring makes me
ill: my mind is never free from dizzy dreams, my blood s in constant ferment. He clearly does not like
the spring season at all. It is boring and there is a tone of disgust. He compares the fun and excitement
of winter. There is definitely a large range between the way he feels about what spring brings and
what winter brings. Winter is almost bearable to Pushkin. Winter is fun. He enjoys the activities and
cold weather of the winter. In stanza four, he writes, O, summer fair! I would have loved you too,

During the course of Foundations of Reflection: God, my mission is to appreciate and learn the history
and advances of the Christian Church. As students, we analyze cultural texts and describe meaningful
events to develop an answer to who, what, and why there is a transcendent God. This composition will

John the Savage is the only person in this new world society born naturally from a mother and not
from a factory, John is a unique human being with an identity and a family relationship unlike any
other character in Aldous Huxley s novel, Brave New World . Even though he is the son of two upper
class utopians, he grows up in the depths of Malpais: The Savage Reservation. Torn between two
cultures, John is not truly a part of the savage society or of the new world society. His only society is
an imaginative world built around Shakespeare s books. John is the ultimate outsider and his life is
filled with confusion and struggle.
Although he does not appear until chapter seven of Brave New World , John is the protagonist of the
story and the symbol of the old world society. The outer appearance of John can reveal the struggle
within him. He may be dressed like a savage, but his light colored skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes
betray his origin. He was born on the Savage Reservation to Linda, a Beta minus who had lived in the
new world society before being abandoned on the reservation by the Director of Hatcheries and
Conditioning (The D.H.C.). The Director does not even know of his existence until John later appears
in London as an adult. His life on the reservation is miserable, because he is not accepted by the other
savages and cannot understand the lifestyle that his mother lives. As a result, he is isolated and desires
for something and somewhere to belong to.

South Park began airing in 1997. The commercials that preceded it gave the impression of it being
another stupid cartoon; however, when I began watching, I realized important issues were being
covered through the repeated behaviors and actions of its characters, through the influences these
actions could have on the viewers, through the reinforcement and rejections of certain stereotypes,
through the long term effects that could result from watching the program, and through its reflection
of social reality.

There are both negative and positive influences these repeated behaviors and actions could have on an
audience. One negative effect could be the numbing of the viewer to children s deaths: it is such a
common occurrence on the show until it is expected. Another effect could be the instilling of negative
feelings toward the overweight; the audience could be learning that it is acceptable to verbally attack a
person with a weight problem. Also, in a time of AIDS, promotion of sexual promiscuity is a
dangerous thing: never have the writers mentioned the use of condoms by Chef during his encounters.
Finally, because of the recent advances in genetic research and its awakening of new fears in the
public, South Park s parody of the geneticist could further play on people s fears.
Despite the potentially negative influences of these behaviors and actions, there could be a positive
influence existing in the form of catharsis. American society has suffered from the rules of political
correctness, the fear of AIDS, and the fear of knowledge (the fear of going too far into God s domain
thanks to our Puritanical background). Maybe South Park gives us release from repression by allowing
us to laugh at the things we fear the most: death, ridicule of our differences by our peers, the

Nanette Salomon, a very well known feminist writer, wrote the article, Judging Artemisia: A Baroque
Woman in Modern Art History. The article opens up with a discussion about the 2001 2 exhibition of
Orazio and Artemisia Gentileschi: Father and Daughter Painters in Baroque Italy. The author explains
that three things are unusual here: the fact that two famous artists were presented at the same time, that
they were related as father and daughter, and the fact that the woman was better known than the man.
Her intent in this article is to look at the effects of this trope (figure of speech) in the past and in the
present.

The author also talks about the story of Susanna and the Elders. Apparently Artemisia Gentileschi
painted three versions of this biblical story at three different stages in her life, 1610, 1622, and 1649.
The author did a comparison on the three Susanna paintings and she argues that it is noticeable that
the abstracting qualities of the 1610 painting change its concept or meaning from one form of story
telling to another. She argues that the abstract form of story telling serves the purpose of finding a
visual equivalent to the deafening silence . She explains that the 1622 Susanna and the Elders speaks a
different language, and so does the 1649 version.
Nanette Salomon emphasizes that there are different ways to make sense of the changes in Artemisia s
three Susannas . One explanation may be that Artemisia s work show progressive naturalism or
realism which can be attributed to her development as an artist.
Judging Artemisia Gentileschi is a practice that is believed to have begun at the same time as aesthetic
judgment, back in the time of Vasari in the late sixteenth century.
To me, those are the main points of the article by Nanette Salomon. I think that she made a very good
historical and psychological approach on the subject. The strength of this article is that she provides a
lot of historical facts, and blends it together with her words and opinion.
