Summary Of Jimmy Santiago Baca
As a person who came from another country to the USA. learning how to read and write wasn t
easy. At the beginning, I found it so hard to read and write I would sit for a long time trying to
read one page and most of the time I didn t understand what was it about. writing one complete
sentence was very difficult I had to learn read and write for that reason I feel that I have a lot of
similarity with Jimmy Santiago who also had a hard time reading and writingand he had to teach
himself how to read and write. I have a lot of similarity with Jimmy Santiago Baca. Jimmy
Santiago was born in poor Mexican Family. His dad was addicted to alcohol and his Mom left
him when he was a kid because of the financial problem they were facing and married a rich man.
Regardless the struggles that Jimmy Santiago Baca faced he was able to cope with them by
teaching himself how to write poems. Jimmy found a place for him in the community and he
felt that by writing poems he was able to connect with people. He found a place to stand. A place
that he was always searching for and he mentioned that in his book, A Place to Stand The
Making of a poet. by saying, I was searching for something to make me feel more a part of the
world, I couldn t share with anyone the pain that still drove my exploration to find a place to
stand comfortably in my skin. , also, he was able to get rid of his anger that he was born with
wrong skin color. reading, writing, and becoming a poet helped Jimmy Santiago get

Strengths And Weaknesses Of Adolescence
Each adolescent is unique, and as adolescents we all have our strengths and weaknesses, but
during this time we are preparing ourselves for our future. We are getting an idea of what life will
be like and the responsibility and maturity that is needed. Throughout adolescence is the time
where we can take matters into our own hands and we are allowed to make mistakes. Making those
mistakes is what can help us improve or even help us learn something that can benefit us in the
future. Sometimes we even allow the social media to have an influence on our day to day life,
which can cause us to second guess ourselves in how we look and even how we act. This is the time
that prepares us for our future, where we will have good times and bad times. This... Show more

Youtube Symphony Orchestra
Today, classical music by many can be seen as a dying genre of music. Not often do people attend
concerts to be moved emotionally, for entertainment, or as a means of socializing. Though groups
such as 2Cellos, Piano Guys, and the YouTube Symphony Orchestra have recently driven people
back to concert halls and have them watching classical performances online. The YouTube
Symphony Orchestrahas made a significant movement to this genre of musicby live streaming their
performances (one in 2009 and the other in 2011).
YouTube Symphony Orchestra s performance in 2011 had people hustling to the Sydney Opera
House, and was live streamed around the world for viewers at home. The orchestra performed
various pieces of music from modern to classical. Though their final piece, The Firebird by Igor
Stravinsky, brought the performance together and captivated the audience. The Firebird is a
ballet, which was inspired from Russian folklore of a magical bird that is both a blessing and
curse to its master . Stravinsky composed the music for Sergei Diaghilev s ... Show more content on

The first song played from the Orchestra was Infernal Dance. The whole orchestra plays a loud
chord to show the intensity of the piece. The rhythm of this movement is syncopation due to the
rhythm not being on the beat. This makes the strong beat weak, thus giving a chilling ambience.
Infernal Dance then transitions to the soothing movement Berceuse. Berceuse is a lullaby played
by the bassoon. The Orchestra concludes the concert with Finale. Finale is the finishing piece of
The Firebird and uses one french horn for the melody in a dynamic of piano. The whole orchestra
soon joins in creating a hymn like choral. Instead of ending with a grand note, the brass takes the
melody at a faster pace developing a celebratory ending. With its uneven rhythmic and extravagant
arrangement this Suite fashions a spellbinding

Restaurant Seasonality Essay
Seasonality of the Restaurant Industry: Friend or Foe? The restaurant industry can be a fickle
friend. Business trends directly with the economy and is linked with a dizzying amount of other
factors, enough to make any manager go crazy. Yet at the same time the industry is lucrative and
therefore enticing. The industry has been a contributing factor in the slow recovery from economic
recession and is showing growth in sales (Stensson, 2011). Specifically, the fast foodindustry if
projected to grow at a slightly higher rate of 3.3% over that of the full service industry at 3.1%
(Stensson, 2011). With expanding sales comes higher demand and restaurant jobs are estimated to
rise by 1.3 million positions by 2021 (Stensson, 2011).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Funding the tourist season faculty can be fickle as well. Many restaurants that rely on snow or sun
for the tourist crowd must close down in the off season while still paying the fixed costs associated
with restaurant ownership like rent and utilities (Brumback, 2000). Though tourism in the U.S. is
on the rise in 2011 and 2012 it has a direct link to weather trends and when $1 of every $3 spent in
the restaurant industry, according to the National Restaurant Association, is tourism related the
reliance on weather can be huge (Elan, 2011). Obviously restaurants have been able to weather
the seasons of food service seasonality. It is not a new topic but a continuous challenge which
must be addressed, met, and overcome. But how? Over the years owners and managers alike
have tried several angles in combating seasonal lulls and drops in business. There are five basic
areas that seem to have the most success: seasonal marketing, seasonal menus, seasonal posturing,
using holidays or seasonal peaks as targeting opportunity, and brand or business loyalty. When a
corporation recognizes where the seasonal weak points in business are during the year it can use
promotions and strategic marketing to even out inconsistencies in sales. Seasonal menus can be
twofold assets due to current customer demands as well as cheaper cost of production. Seasonal
posturing refers to being prepared for high and low seasons by managing staff size and raw

Malpractice Law
If you suspect that you or someone you love has been adversely affected by the medical
profession, you will have many questions. Depending on the severity of the issue and what has
occurred, you may need the services of a medical malpractice lawyer. Making the decision to
contact a malpractice lawyer can be a difficult one; you might not feel as though you have enough
cause or you might feel that you ll be wasting your time and money. A little bit of knowledge
about what malpractice lawyers cover and what you should be looking for can help you a great
deal though, when faced with a situation like this. While many malpractice lawyers offer free
consultations, there are a few things that most if not all professionals in this field will consider a
legitimate grievance. Birth injuries, especially those... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Inquire as to the lawyer s win ratio, and see if he has significant in court experience. A trial
attorney will have a much better chance of winning a case if he has some experience, and it is
important to remember that the burden of proof is upon you to prove that the doctor s actions
or hospital s actions should be questioned. Another thing to keep in mind is the fees for the
lawyer s service. Find out exactly how much you need to pay in your lawyer s fees if you do not
get the settlement you expect. If the case succeeds, how much will your lawyer receive? These
are all concerns that you need to keep in mind when selecting a malpractice lawyer. When
selecting a malpractice lawyer, make sure that you are comfortable working with him. This can
be a very traumatic time in your life and having the feeling that you have someone who is solidly
on your side is important. If you think you need the services of a malpractice lawyer, start

Persuasive Speech About Baking
For some, the idea of baking seems as menacing as the idea of drinking bleach; but to others it is
an incredible way to relieve stress, show individuality, or even impress a significant other. As
intimidating as baking can be, it is actually quite a simple process and if you can follow these
instructions then you can achieve your bakingdreams in a few simple steps. The first thing we need
to do is get out our ingredients. Some people prefer to measure them out and put them in cute
bowls and ceramic dishes and what not, but there are also the people that don t want to mess
with all the extra dishes and are content to just throw everything into the same bowl. Whatever
you choose is fine. The cookies will not be better or worse just because you took the time to put the
ingredients in separate dishes to take a picture for your social media. So now we are going to take
our 2 and Вј cups of all purpose flour and add 1 teaspoon of baking soda, ВЅ teaspoon of salt, 1 and

ingredients. In a separate bowl, we are going to add Вѕ cup of unsalted butter(this is roughly one
and a half sticks), Вѕ cup of brown sugar, ВЅ cup of granulated sugar. Once these three
ingredients are in the bowl we are going to whisk these together to combine them all. To these

Disadvantages Of Hatha Yoga
The term Hatha [Л€ha ta] originates from the Sanskrit word hatha. When broken into two
syllables, ha (sun) and tha (moon) refers to physical yoga. The ha refers to the hot energy of sun
while the tha refers to the cooling energy of the moon (Iyengar, 2012; Hutton, 2014). In Hatha
yoga, Desikachar suggests that nadi are located throughout the body. Prana, also referred to as
infinite energy, flows within these nadi or channels. Desikachar suggests that three nadi spiral
around the spinal column. The ida nadi moves through the left nostril and pingala nadi enters the
right nostril. Desikachar also states that the nadi meet at six points in the body referred to as
chakras. Running along the vertical line of the spine, one chakrais located at the center of the
eyebrows. The second chakra is at the throat and the third is at the center of the chest and just
above the heart. The fourth chakra is present at the navel and the fifth at the base of the trunk. The
last chakra originates at the base of the spine. Prana flows between these channels and may only do
so when not blocked. Hatha Yogaderives its name from the practice in which the yogi works to

Pros And Cons Of Utilitarianism
1.Utilitarian s believe animals should be considered as equally morally relevant as humans because
the rights/interests of all beings aside from any form of discrimination or prejudice (speciesism)
should be morally relevant. That being said, like humans, non human animals possess sentience, or
the the ability to experience pain and pleasure. Having sentience is enough to say that non human
animals therefore also possess interests, interests that are similar (although not exact) to those of a
human. These common interests include being pain free, and living a life free from suffering.

Regan rejects utilitarianism as an answer for whether zoos are morally defensible because
utilitarianism requires extensive information regarding how much good or bad/ costs and benefits
are generated for all who are effected. Regan argues that the extent of information that would be
required to use utilitarianism as an answer to the question is more information than can possibly be
attained. In other words, there are far too many aspects and interests of humans and non humans to
take into consideration equally. It is an unachievable task and therefore Regan believes deciphering
the question via the rights view is a more tangible

American Conquest Feelings Analysis
American Conquest Feelings Essay It is not often that you read a story where the American
soldier is the bad guy. Miller does a great job of portraying the conflict for what it truly was. He
does not give an anti American tone while writing the book, like many other critics have. I think
that we have a lot to learn from this conflict. America is the greatest country, with the greatest
beacon of life and liberty than any other country in history. With that being said, we must not turn
our head from the atrocities that Uncle Sam takes responsibility for. Studying the tainted corners of
our history provides us with the ability to learn from experience. After reading this piece of the

Cronus God of time and king of Titans
My research paper is about the Greek Titan Kronos/Cronus which are his Greek name or Saturn

which were overthrown by their own children the Olympians. In Greek mythology we all know
his ending was about him being thrown into the pit of tartarus but we barely know how his
beginning life started in the myths, but his defeat the most well known story. In my research paper

the end of the golden age and the coming of the bronze age the world complete forgot what
kronos did and was then portrayed as a monster and was rarely worshiped by mortals of Greece.

Normally, if a President has an issues or needs to make a statement this is not the way it is gone
about. I have never seen a president who has time to take to twitter when wanting to address things.
There are comments that were being made by Trump that have made matters worse. He needs to
try to be more of a solution then create more of a problem. Americans are already faced with trying
times.
Trump has stated during his speech in Alabama wouldn t you love to see one of these NFL

address the citizens of the U.S, and this way that you decided to voice yourself is not the best way.
Not everyone is disagreeing with the way President Trump handles the issues that we are facing. I
think that these players are standing together in what they believe in and knowing what is not right

Building A Safer Healthcare System Essay
Discussion
Current healthcare practices today have largely been influenced by the Institute of Medicine (IOM)
1999 report, To Err is Human: Building a Safer Healthcare System. This report delineated many
weaknesses in the practice of medicine regarding the safety of patients within the healthcare
industry. This report has increased public awareness regarding the need for transparency around
reporting serious safety events as well as the need to implement best practices in an effort to
increase patient safety. Additionally, Medicare initiatives support the need for increased quality of
care as hospitals will suffer financial loss due to declining reimbursement for patient. Patient
satisfaction and safety are imperative in order for care to be provided. One effort which can help
support improvements in patient safety and quality of care is through hourly or intentional
rounding on patients. This rounding practice amplifies the nurse patient relationship, provides
continuity of care, increased safety, and service excellence. Intentional rounding or rounding with
a purpose, can be a success, as long as nursing staff understand the full implications and the
potential for positive outcomes, and take complete ownership of the rounding initiative.
Leadership and nurses need to work collaboratively and be cognizant of each other s role
pertaining to the delivery of care regarding this practice. The purpose of this research is to depict
the importance of hourly rounding as a

Comparing Dynastic China And Ancient Egypt
Introduction:
Looking over the shoulder of history, Dynastic China and Egypt were perhaps two of the most
substantial, long lasting, and abiding civilizations. A dynasty is simply defined as a succession of
rulers from the same family. The ancient Egyptian dynasty was present from about 3100 to 332
BC. It was ruled in the Arab Republic of Egypt. Ancient dynastic China, which lasted from about
1000 BC to 500 AD, lay in the Yellow River Valley. It can be seen that both of these societies
shared quite a few cultural similarities. For example, in Egypt, as well as China, polytheism was a
dominant religious belief. Also, they were both primarily well developed in technology and tools.
Egypt had developed many apparatuses such as the 365 day ... Show more content on

But, they definitely were not limited to simply working the home. There were many professions
and jobs offered to women at the time. It also should be noted that the range of jobs that were
available for them were based on social class rather than gender. On top of working within the
home, attending to household chores and caring for their children, the lower class women of
the ancient Egyptian society also had the duty of working outside tending livestock and in the
fields, especially during harvest. Occupations such as skilled weavers, mourners, musicians,
stewards, composers, singers, dancers, beer brewers, and bakers were also accessible to women
of any social class. Educated or wealthy women were offered professional positions such as
administrators, priestesses, or supervisors. In some instances, they became judges, overseers,
governors, doctors, or even prime ministers because of their ability to read and write. If a
woman held the same job as a man, she received the same income and rations as a man received
for the work, and so her wages made an important contribution to the family s wealth. Unlike the
Egyptian women s broad range of career options, the average Chinese women s work centered
primarily on the home. Tasks such as preparing food, cleaning and looking after children were the
norm for the majority of women in ancient China. They were expected to have many children and
most women felt the pressure to bear a son. It was common for women to take up manual labour in
the home. Spinning, weaving and sewing were common occupations. Some peasant women worked
in the fields with their husbands. As per the dominant religion of the time, Confucian, women were
inferior to men. Men and women were not equal in Confucius s eyes. The only real job in which
the ancient Chinese women had was to bear

Maple Syrp Disease
Maple Syrup Urine Disease is a potently fatal disorder which affects the body s ability of

of breaking down the three branched amino acid chain is due to defect in an enzyme called
branched chain alpha ketoacid dehydrogenase. Which is the enzyme responsible for breaking

Allusion In The Starry Night
Being inspired by Vincent Van Gogh s illustrious painting Starry Night, Anne Sexton uses imagery,
metaphor, and allusion to write the poem The Starry Night which indicates her not only shares the
mental issue and suicide propensity with Vincent but also the deep desire for religion. Anne Sexton,
a great female poet, is diagnosed with depression and gets hard mental hit due to the death of her
aunt; thus, she attempts to suicide many times. Same as Vincent Van Gogh
, Anne also expresses her
feeling toward life and death in scene to release her gloominess. In her poem The Starry Night, she
fully develops her inner thoughts on alienation and loneliness. First of all, Anne uses metaphor to
describe the painting, pointing out her unique reflection to the painting and the mental creativity.

The Roots Of Six Sigma Measurement
The roots of Six Sigma as a tool of standard measurement can be traced back to the time of Carl
Friedrich, who lived between 1777 to 1855. Friedrich introduced the concept that is today called the
normal curve. The origination of the Six Sigma measurement standard came way during the time of
Friedrich, but it took the Six Sigmaformat in the 1920s as a genesis of Walter Shewhart who
demonstrated that Sigma as from the mean is the location where a particular process is in need of
correction. There were other standards of measurementduring this time like Cpk and Zero Defects
but the coining of the term Six Sigma is advocated to a Motorolaengineer called Bill Smith
(Goldsby Martichenko, 2005). Way the mid 1980s, when the chair of Motorola was Bob Galvin, the
Motorola engineers made a decision that the initial quality levels, which involved measurement of
defects within a thousand opportunities, had not provided enough granularities. Therefore, these
engineers wanted to make measurements of the defects for every million opportunities. It was
during this helm that Motorola decided to develop this new standard, creating its methodology
together with other cultural changes associated with it. With the use of this new tool of
measurement, now called Six Sigma, Motorola was able to achieve powerful threshold results
within the organization. For instance, the company was able to document more than $16 billion in
savings simply because of the use of Six Sigma. It was at this

Character Analysis Of A Child Called It By David Pelzer
Character Essay David Pelzer, the main (and perhaps only) protagonist, has struggled with a lot
throughout the book I read. The story is mainly about Dave s determination to withstand his
abusive, alcoholic mother, who will, without a second thought, beat him if he doesn t get his
chores done. Even if he does get all of his chores done, he is starved and forced to sleep on an old
army cot in his basement while his family lives in the luxury of the upstairs section of the house.
The writer, Dave Pelzer, changed the names of his family to keep their anonymity, which was
nice of him due to what goes on in his story. This essay is about a book called A Child Called It.
It was never mentioned what Dave actually looked like, but you can infer his appearance just by
he tells how he lives his life. He is definitely a very skinny boy due to being starved by his
mother. He mentions that during his early school years, he had been practicing running to
school so he d be fast enough to snag some food from the grocery store before his class started.
On the cover of the book, it shows a picture of what might be him. If it is, then it shows that he
has pale skin, chocolate brown hair that falls into his face along with beaming, lively, azure eyes.
It is said that his mother rarely ever washed his clothes or bought him new ones, so it is evident
that his apparel would likely be torn and tattered. His age changes throughout the book it tells his
story from ages four to twelve. There

Teenagers And The Young Adult Chart
Teenagers are the most perceptive individuals in every society they are just learning and
experiencing the real world without yet developing the mask and filter of adults; they see things
how they are, and they say things the way they are. They still have the innate curiosity of children
without the apathy that seems so rampant among those who actually have the power to change.
This is why it is so important to know how teenagers view the world, because they will be making
up the world in a few decades. There is no better way to know how they think than by examining
the literature they read.
Over the past few years, dystopian novels have topped the young adult charts. It is easy to just
write off the similarities between teenage aimed novels as just a standard story writing formula
for making money. However, by looking deeper into what these similarities really mean, we can
learn that these stories are similar for very important reasons. As Utopian scholar Lyman Tower
Sargent s states, It is particularly important that we understand the dreams and nightmares that are
directed at children and young adults (Hintz Ostry, 234). First, we need to take a look at what
dystopian fictions are, by definition. According to Aristotle, author of the Poetics, all forms of art
perform mimesis. Epic poetry and tragedy, as also comedy, dithyrambic poetry, and most pipe
playing and lyre playing, are all, viewed as a whole, modes of imitation (Aristotle) This concept of

Artificial Neural Network Advantages And Disadvantages
ABSTRACT An Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is an information processing paradigm that
is inspired by the way biological nervous systems, such as the brain, process information [1].
Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) also called neuro computing, or parallel distributed
processing (PDP), provide an alternative approach to be applied to problems where the
algorithmic and symbolic approaches are not well suited. The objective of the neural network is
to transform the inputs into meaningful outputs. There are many researches which show that
brain store information as pattern. Some of these patterns are very complicated and allows us to
recognize from different angles. This paper gives a review of the artificial neural network and
analyses the techniques in terms of performance. Keywords ANN, PDP, ITNN, CPN, CNN,
CCNN, HN, TSP, RNN, Bi ANN, CDR, LRN INTRODUCTION The objective of the neural
network is to transform the input to meaningful output. Neural networks are often used for
statistical analysis and data modeling. Neural network has many uses in data processing, robotics,
and medical diagnosis [2]. From the starting of the neural network there are various types found,
but each and every types has some advantages and disadvantages. Deep learning and neural
network software are the categories of artificial neural network. The parallel process also allows

Advantages Of Pesticides In Agriculture
M. Salman Anwar Research Proposal
Title:
BIODEGRADATION OF PESTICIDES IN SOIL ENVIRONMENT
Introduction:
Wise use and preservation of the soil recourses of a country can transform a poor society into a
prosperous one (Miller and Donahue 1992)
Agriculture is a key sector in the world economy where the competition between the countries is
of great importance in terms of the production. It also contributes about 25% of GDP of Pakistan
and provides livelihood directly to 70% of its rural population. In these conditions, pesticides are
commonly used to reach a definite quantity and quality of agricultural productions. Their
generalised use is attributed to (i) increase the quantitative and qualitative yields (ii) limit the
irregularities of crop production linked to the great parasitic catastrophe (iii) protect the food
reserves and many more. It has been estimated that about 3000 5000 tones of pesticides are used
predominately only in Cotton growing areas of Pakistan (ESCAP Virtual Conference June 16,
2007). According to a report of IFEN, pesticides are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

primary mechanism of pesticide dissipation from the soils (Cox et al., 1996; Pieuchot et al., 1996).
Along with this degradation of pesticide, these micro organisms also perform many other beneficial
functions like decomposition of organic matter, release of certain enzymes and plant growth
regulators, with having no destructive impact on soil fertility and structure that some more vigorous
conventional technologies may have, such as acid extraction and soil washing. So Biodegradation

The Battle Of Saratoga And Indian War
Boom! Boom! Boom! Do you hear that? That s what led to the revolution. Some events that led
to the revolution are: The French and Indian War, The Battle of Saratoga and many other events.
The American Revolution was between the Americans led by George Washington , and the
British led by General Howe and General Cornwallis. The two enemies have been fighting for
several of years. There are series of wars that led to the revolution. These series if wars lasted for
several of years also. This is were the war begins. The Navigation Act was passed between 1650
and 1696. It limited colonial trade by using the system of merchantalism. It forbade colonist
from trading specific items such as sugar and cotton. The colonist reactions were different
though. They would end up protesting about the unfair taxes, and requirements they were
expected to follow under the act. England responded to these protest by saying it would benefit
everyone because there was was a steady market for these goods in England. Not all colonist
agreed. Some resorted to smuggling items in and out of the colonies because of the way the
British were treating them. Do you know what the French and Indian war was over? The war was
between the British and French over the fur trade. The trade smacked the British and the colonist
right in the face. Prime Minister, George Grenville, asked parliament to pass higher taxes on the
colonies to pay for the war debt and protection. Colonist believed that

The suffragists were different from the suffragettes because the suffragists used moderate and

was working too slowly so they wanted to be completely opposite to them so they used militant
methods. The suffragettes believed in Deeds Not Words and especially when they knew that the
Liberal Government was not going to introduce reforms, so they turned to militant methods. The
suffragettes restricted membership of WSPU to women and to men, which meant men were not

The suffragists had many problems of trying to get the vote and people in the group were not
happy with violence, which was getting them nowhere so Emmeline and Frederick Pethick
Lawerence left the WSPU, which led to a split of the WSPU, and they began to work on their own

Sylvia Pankhurst started to drift away and started to help the poor of in the East End of London. As

The Mining Act 1990
The Mining Act, 1990, has a significant role in protecting Ontario s vast mineral resources and
brings forth a set of policies in which promote responsible mining development and extraction. The
provincial government plays an integral role in the provinces mining industry because the Act
requires that all mineralclaims must be recorded and accepted by the Crown which from then the
two parties discuss a lease fee for the mineral rights. After locating a mineral claim in an area

In 2009, the passing of Bill 173, also known as the Mining Amendment Act brought forth various
changes that were created with the input of representatives from the mining industry, environmental
groups, municipalities, private citizens, and Aboriginal communities (Pratt Smitherman, 2009). The
discussions between the government and these groups helped lead to the implementation of new
regulations that promote mineral exploration and development in a manner that recognizes
Aboriginal and treaty rights.
The Mining Act does a very good job at protecting certain aspects of the environment such as
ensuring that over exploitation of minerals does not occur, or making it mandatory to have a plan
in place for closing the mine as well as assuring that there is money to do so. Although there are
many things that this Act does right, there are also areas in which there are issues and should be
improved. One of the first issues pertaining to this Act is the impact that it fails to mitigate
regarding water quality. In areas where mining development occurs, the water quality is drastically
affected and a study found that water from waste rock piles has an ionic profile distinct from
unimpacted catchments (Carey, Wellen, Shatilla, 2015), meaning that in order to mitigate the
impact of the runoff measures must be put in place to limit it. Secondly, the Act does not involve

2.2.2Antescofo
Antescofo is a score following system that enables to code interactions between the instrumental
parts and the computer generated parts by providing a proprietary programming language
[Giavitto, Cont and Echeveste, 2015]. Antescofo stands for anticipatory synchronization and
control of interactive parameters in computer music, and its core is a score following system
based on Hidden Markov Models (HMM) with some variants to be able to model time changes
which are one of the major drawbacks of the HMM algorithm.
The Antescofo score following core performs tracking of audio events and triggers some
customized actions written in a text based programming descriptor. In Antescofo, the text based
representation of computer generated events follows a Score Language design pattern, which has a
long tradition in computer music since the debut of Mathews MUSIC N languages in the late 60 s [
Mathews, Miller, Moore, Pierce, and Risset, 1969 ], but Antescofo extends the concept to a reactive
language, meaning that customized actions responds to events. The current Antescofo public
version runs as a patch extension of Max/Msp (or PureData).
Antescofo is an event based customizable score following, accordingly its most important
programming entities in Antescofo language are events and actions [Giavitto, Cont and Echeveste,

The Importance Of The Self And Society
Contrary to popular belief, the self and society are not separate entities, they are dialectic and
influence the development of each other. This relationship can be examined through behavior and
interaction of an individual s self with social reality. The self relates to society through a variety
of different sociological theories including Dramaturgy, Symbolic interactionism, the looking
glass self, phenomenology, and ethnomethodology. All the above argue that society and the self
are shaped through experiences within our everyday lives, and that communication with other
selves is necessary to make up the larger societal structure. Without the self, society would cease
to exist. Socialization is the process through which the self emerges through social interaction
(Gorea, 2017). The self is not an organic thing that has a specific location whose fundamental fate
is to be born, to mature, and to die, nonetheless, is a dramatic effect arising from a scene that is
presented (Goffman, 1959:252) In other words, the way we are socialized into society leaves an
impression on ourselves, as well as our impression leaves a lasting effect on society. Through this
process of socialization, we learn to adopt the perspective of others, and act in a manner molded to
represent the expectations of society. As humans, we actively influence our own social
development through our sense of self. We learn about ourselves through socialization by copying
the actions of others, or through

There have been several Islamic militant groups in Somalia with the aim of controlling the
country. Al Shabaab is the current of those groups with a claim to make Somali an Islamic state,
while at the same time getting rid of the inter clan wrangles. However, the group s actions were
more of polarizing the communities along religious lines. The Narcissism of minor difference
applies here as well; Somalia s population is overwhelmingly Muslim. However, Al shabaab has
an extremist view of Islam and intends to make everyone follow the same ideas, those who do
not, they believe deserve to die. Solomon argues that Al Shabaab s form of Islam contradicts with
most of Somali s cultural beliefs, hence creating a major rift between the militants and the
population (p352, 2014). The group use the worst kind of violence against people they believe do
not follow the right Islam; from beheading and lynching alleged offenders to bombing local
mosques, restaurants, and learning institutions (various). Again, all of their victims inside Somalia
are Muslim Somalis who worship the same God as them, but according to them, they worship Him

The Christian Faith
One of the foundations of the Christian faith is the belief that God is actively working in His
creation. God did not create the world and leave it to its own fate. Instead, God is still actively
involved in every part of His creation today. This belief is crucial for the Christian scientists in
today s world. Ones who study cells and molecules can discover how astounding and detailed
God, the Creator, is with this belief in mind. God is working through his seen and unseen
creation. In the tiniest cell, God s workmanship can be displayed. God made each cell to have a
specific purpose towards the human body or the plant. Cells and molecules are the work of an
intelligent designer and are not random chances. Without God, cells could not accomplish their
purpose. God places every geneon DNAand makes the cells come together to form a human. For
you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother s womb (Psalm 139:13, NIV).
Through cells and molecules, God creates each unique person on His earth.
When a Christian scientist knows God is at work in His creation, they can have a new perspective
of cells. They will see cells as the design of God instead of results of randomness. Once they
observe and study cells, they can learn more about God. They can learn how detail oriented and
omniscient He is. God is in control not only of the seen world, but also the world we can only see
under the microscope! Each cell and molecule are shaped a specific way to carry out a

The Apostle Paul And The New Testament

earnestness found within spring from the pages igniting a wonder in the reader of who Paul the
Apostle was. Paul went to great lengths to spread the name of Jesus and one cheers anxiously
from the sideline waiting to see if he ever gets the upper hand. Attacked, insulted, beaten,
discredited, and victimized are just a few adjectives that could describe daily life for Paul. He
becomes a model of devotion and fervor to continue the cause. Today, the same occurs in a less
physical form. An abundance of scholarship of Paul exists at the tip of any pupil s hand. However,

Yet, it will suffice to say this simply does not get to the root of interpretation according to Wright
and he discredits both. he goes a step further by saying that at the center of Paul s writings is Jesus
(Wright, 11 25). It is that simple. Analysis of Paul s Jewish state of mind prior to his conversion
is important to note before one reaches Wright s conclusion. Paul, Saul of Tarsus at this point,
was not interested in a timeless system of salvation, whether of works righteousness or anything
else. He wanted God to redeem Israel (pp. 32). He, like other Jews, desired to see their God,
Yahweh, finally fulfilling his promise of raising all Jews to the new Israel, or new world. He
was zealous for God, but as one can see, he was zealous in the wrong manner. Following the
story in Acts, Saul is drastically converted on the road to Damascus. Paul claims to have seen
Jesus in this drastic divine occurrence. This is of utmost importance. Once Saul saw the
resurrected Jesus it was not that he lost his Jewish heritage, but there is now a cognitive
understanding that God had done for Jesus of Nazareth, in the middle of time, what Saul had
thought he was going to do for Israel at the end of time (pp. 36). Thus, there is a realization that
Jesus was the intercessor for God s promise, the one who took on the curse of Israel. The
resurrection proves that the claims by Jesus followers were indeed right. Now it is

conditions of the prisons that she witnessed. Dix then went on to be a renowned advocate for the
mentally ill. She urged more humane treatment based care than what was given to the mentally ill
in the prisons. In 1847, she urged that the Illinois legislature to provide an appropriate ... Show more

But other patients had reasons to be in the asylum. On Tennessee Genealogical Society web site
you can read why mentally healthy women went to the insane asylums. Some of the women
were put in the asylum because they questioned the authority of their husbands or they were not
good housewives. Any woman was at risk of being put in an insane hospital if they did either
one of those. Also, if women got to old the husband could have her put in a hospital and take a
younger wife. Once a woman was committed, it was as if she died, an obituary was published,
usually. A landlord could have a person committed for not paying rent. A boss could have an
employee committed if they were slow or a bad employee. People could be committed if they
were poor, being an alcoholic, a person with a short fuse, or anyone who deviated from the
normal thing society thought was right. These could go for men or women, but most were filled
with women. Also, children who acted out or had mental or physical disabilities were also placed
in mental asylums. A blind child or a child with a speech problem would be locked away for the
rest of their life just because they had a birth

The Case Of Vitro Human Blood
Thrombosis and Leptin The manifestation of P selection in the case of vitro human platelets is
increased by the Leptin. Fascinatingly, the augmentation of the results of APD induced combination
from the Leptin mitigated in the platelets found from the overweight or the obese patients in
comparison to the normal weight patients. However, other studies showed no effect of Leptin at
concentration levels of up to 500 ng/mL from obese and other normal weight subjects. Results
from 44 women diagnosed with obesity, the plasma containing Leptin has a correlation with the
excretion of urinary 11 dehydrothromboxane B2. Restrictions of caloric values reduces the levels
of Leptin and the platelet activity is reduced in the process. This is evident from the reflection of
decrease in the levels of P selectin concentration in the plasma. There is also a positive correlation
of plasma Leptin and the concentrations of the plasminogen activator inhibitor 1 expressed in the
men with the ischemic heart diseases. From professional follow up, it was observed that Leptin
correlated significantly with the von Willebrand and fibrinogen factor (Reaven, 2011). Studies done
in Swedish populations showed that there is a positive association of Leptin with the plasma
fibrinogen and it also expresses an inverse relationship with the plasminogen activator found in
tissues and its concentration in plasma (Townsend, 2012). An inverse correlation between the 2
inhibitors of coagulation and Leptin, the

The History of Abortion
Abortion is a medical practice to terminate a woman s pregnancy in the first 3 months. The
history of abortion starts father before the pinnacle case of Roe v Wade in 1973. The supreme
court made it legal to get an abortion and this is seen as an important turning point for the
american health care policies for women. Before this court case to render it legal it had been
performed for thousands of years and in every society known. It was legal when settlers first came
to the united states before the Constitution abortionwas openly advertised and performed on a
regular basis. Abortion makes its history back to the mid 1800s when states started to make
abortion illegal. The fear that the states had in the 1800s were that the population... Show more

Rather than opening to the real claim the American Medical Association (AMA) argued that
abortion was dangerous and immoral. The only way to get an abortion was when it was
necessary to save a woman s life and this would be a legal abortion. Criminalized abortion did not
affect the number of women that seeked abortion. There was an estimated 1.2 million illegal
abortions a year before Roe v Wade. Although this is uncertain due to the thousands of women
that suffered harm during these illegal abortions. Many women would try to induce abortion or
go to mal practitioners with primitive methods and in unsanitary conditions. Hospitals cared for
thousands of women that had illegal abortions that were now suffering terrible effects of
abortion. SOme women were able to have a private doctor in better conditions provide the safer
abortion procedure. During the 1967 to 1973 one third of the states tried to legalize abortions and
be rid of abortion laws. Although the right to have abortion in all states happened in 1973 when the
supreme court was able to strike down those laws. Roe v. Wademade it possible for women to get
safe and legal abortion from professional trained medical practitioners. This case came out of a
Texas state in which the law prohibited the use of abortion unless it was to save a woman s life.
Those laws forced women to lean to illegal abortions and

Canadian Tires
1. What is BI and how can it help Canadian Tire? In the case there are 10 common challenges of
BI implementations, which of these would you rate as most important for Eubanks and Wnek at
CTC, and why? How would you address them? Business Intelligence (BI) is the consolidation and
analysis of internal data and / or external data for the purpose of effective decision making. At the
core of all BI initiatives is a data warehouseto hold the data and analytics software. The data
warehouse stores data from operational systems in the organization and restructures it to enable
queries and models to extract decision support reports. The primary objective of BI was to support
and enable business and IT strategies at CTC. In the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
CTC IT was largely seen as a hardware provider and manager but not as a strategic business partner.
3. Compare the exhibits that depict the current versus the future desired BI infrastructure. What
challenges exist for the implementation of the BI initiative?
Fig: Current BI Environment In this figure, there are two sources of information for business: 1).
Information from IW, which has passed through the ETL process before it goes to the end users. 2.)
Information from independent data sources, which is processed by different standards. This is
counter to the strategic goal of eliminating duplication of analysis, reporting and ad hoc analysis.
This environment consumes more time for business users to understand end user data, and more
money for the firm which is wasted on different and possibly conflicting results.
Fig: Future BI Environment
This figure illustrates the future of BI for CTC. Independent data sources have been incorporated
into a single BI system, within a global data model. All data will be loaded into corporate EDW
via ETL. The EDW will feed the financial data mart for enterprise performance management, so
business users will be able to conduct planning and budgeting functions. On the right side of the
EDW, BI specialists will assist in organizing data marts into four categories: Supply Chain, Vendor,

Deception In A Doll s House And The Stronger
Analysis of Marriage and Deception Within A Doll s House and The Stronger
Both the stories of A Doll s House and The Stronger contain a common theme of the presence of
lies and deceit to maintain an idealistic life within their society. Ibsen and Strindberg displayed
how both the characters Nora and Madame X are the stereotypical, general female roles who wish
to have an ideal relationship with both their husbands and those around them. They both have
recurring situations in which the lead character confronts the root of their problems. To Nora, that
is her husband and the insincerity of their relationship, while for Madame X, it s Mademoiselle Y.
A prime example of Nora s idealism is in the fact that her husband so often mistreated her and
demanded so much, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When I was home with Papa he told me his opinion about everything, and so I had the same
opinions; and if I differed from him I concealed the fact, because he would not have liked it. He
called me his doll child, and he played with me just as I used to play with my dolls (Ibsen 66).
Nora s relationship with her husband was compared to that of her husband, showing truly how
indecently both her father and husband had treated her within their normal family life. She
wasn t able to have her own opinion, and was shown disapproval for it. Hence, she was forced to
create a personality to use around Torvald and also those who she wanted have the thought that
they were indeed a perfect family. Torvald seemed to be more like a controlling parent figure to
Nora rather than an ideal husband. Most of her character points revolved around the idea that she
was to be a doll living in a doll s house, to be perfect and act as what one may consider a trophy
wife. Additionally, Nora was forced to make decisions and do things that was considered somewhat
illicit for women at the time. Primarily, it was her

A Brief Look at The Beatles and Their Music
The Beatles would ultimately pursue a goal quite similar to that of Marx to change the way people
think about the world In order to create a better, more just world a theme particularly relevant in
their later work. Discuss.
Baur, S (2006) The Beatles and Philosophy Chicago: Open Court p87
Beatles music makes you feel good, even 30 years after first hearing it, I and many other fans get
intense pleasure from listening to the songs. By the age of 4 I was a keen listener, and by the age
of 7 I owned all their albums. My view of the world we live in was shaped to a greater or lesser
extent by the messages and music on those albums.
Before researching this topic, I have already in my mind my own understanding as to the Beatles
goals and their developing intentions throughout the decade, their involvement with political
activity, and what, in particular, Ono and Lennon sought to achieve in their ten month peace
campaign during 1969.
The goals and philosophy of Marx, of a classless society and socialist order, reflected the civil,
feminist, sexual freedom and anti war movements of the 1960 s fairly closely. The sixties were
also a time when many people were freer to experiment with the social and political philosophy
of Karl Marx . Harris, J.F (1993). Philosophy at 33 1/3 Rpm: Themes of Classic Rock Music.

or whatever else. In isolation, these movements

Pain Recovery Proposal
On 4/25/18 I met Ms. Bambrick for her follow up an appointment with Psychiatrist Dr.
Hillenberg. Ms. Bambrick wants a provider to work with her in coping with the life changing the
aspect of this injury and recovery and coordinating her pain medications during her recovery.
Her goal is to reduce her pain and her pain medication needs at some point. Unfortunately, Dr.
Hillenberg is going to retire and is focusing more on the management end of his practice. He did,
however, make some recommendations. Ms. Bambrick needs a psychiatrist and a psychologist
who will work with her PCP Dr. Horrigan in managing her pain medications. He is providing her
with a pain recovery workbook, that will have daily tasks for her to follow. He spoke with her about
diet and foods to avoid.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He also recommended at some point when her physical therapist feels she is ready to join the
adapted therapeutic yoga program that meets weekly. They have found that yoga, mindful
breathing along with a Tia Chi program help with pain control. Ms. Bambricks private health
insurance has given approval for an extended number of physical therapy session so that is
decreasing her stress and worry regarding that. Her being able to attend physical therapy
consistently has helped to improve the range of motion of her cervical spine and upper body
strength. She continues to use a walker for the right drop foot and the left ankle weakness. The
numbness she has to the left side of her body continues, along with the right wrist pain and
weakness. The attendant care and transportation services have made a great impact on her
attendance to her therapy and medical appointments. Our next appointment will be with
Neurologist Dr. Hakim on 5/24/18. We will address the coldness to her hand and foot along with

Obviously restaurants have been able to weather the seasons of food service seasonality. It is not a new topic but a continuous challenge which must be addressed, met, and overcome. But how? Over the years owners and managers alike have tried several angles in combating seasonal lulls and drops in business. There are five basic areas that seem to have the most success: seasonal marketing, seasonal menus, seasonal posturing, using holidays or seasonal peaks as targeting opportunity, and brand or business loyalty. When a corporation recognizes where the seasonal weak points in business are during the year it can use promotions and strategic marketing to even out inconsistencies in sales. Friedrich introduced the concept that is today called the normal curve. The origination of the Six Sigma measurement standard came way during the time of Friedrich, but it took the Six Sigmaformat in the 1920s as a genesis of Walter Shewhart who demonstrated that Sigma as from the mean is the location where a particular process is in need of correction. There were other standards of measurementduring this time like Cpk and Zero Defects but the coining of the term Six Sigma is advocated to a Motorolaengineer called Bill Smith (Goldsby Martichenko, 2005). Way the mid 1980s, when the chair of Motorola was Bob Galvin, the Motorola engineers made a decision that the initial quality levels, which involved measurement of defects within a thousand opportunities, had not provided enough granularities. Therefore, these engineers wanted to make measurements of the defects for every million opportunities. • 22. Character Analysis Of A Child Called It By David Pelzer Character Essay David Pelzer, the main (and perhaps only) protagonist, has struggled with a lot throughout the book I read. The story is mainly about Dave s determination to withstand his abusive, alcoholic mother, who will, without a second thought, beat him if he doesn t get his chores done. Even if he does get all of his chores done, he is starved and forced to sleep on an old army cot in his basement while his family lives in the luxury of the upstairs section of the house. The writer, Dave Pelzer, changed the names of his family to keep their anonymity, which was nice of him due to what goes on in his story. This essay is about a book called A Child Called It. It was never mentioned what Dave actually looked like, but you can infer his appearance just by he tells how he lives his life. He is definitely a very skinny boy due to being starved by his mother. He mentions that during his early school years, he had been practicing running to school so he d be fast enough to snag some food from the grocery store before his class started. On the cover of the book, it shows a picture of what might be him. If it is, then it shows that he has pale skin, chocolate brown hair that falls into his face along with beaming, lively, azure eyes. It is said that his mother rarely ever washed his clothes or bought him new ones, so it is evident that his apparel would likely be torn and tattered. Teenagers And The Young Adult Chart Teenagers are the most perceptive individuals in every society they are just learning and experiencing the real world without yet developing the mask and filter of adults; they see things how they are, and they say things the way they are. They still have the innate curiosity of children without the apathy that seems so rampant among those who actually have the power to change. This is why it is so important to know how teenagers view the world, because they will be making up the world in a few decades. There is no better way to know how they think than by examining the literature they read. Over the past few years, dystopian novels have topped the young adult charts. It is easy to just write off the similarities between teenage aimed novels as just a standard story writing formula for making money. However, by looking deeper into what these similarities really mean, we can learn that these stories are similar for very important reasons. As Utopian scholar Lyman Tower Sargent s states, It is particularly important that we understand the dreams and nightmares that are directed at children and young adults (Hintz Ostry, 234). First, we need to take a look at what dystopian fictions are, by definition. According to Aristotle, author of the Poetics, all forms of art perform mimesis. Epic poetry and tragedy, as also comedy, dithyrambic poetry, and most pipe playing and lyre playing, are all, viewed as a whole, modes of imitation (Aristotle) This concept of mimesis ... • 27. Artificial Neural Network Advantages And Disadvantages ABSTRACT An Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is an information processing paradigm that is inspired by the way biological nervous systems, such as the brain, process information [1]. Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) also called neuro computing, or parallel distributed processing (PDP), provide an alternative approach to be applied to problems where the algorithmic and symbolic approaches are not well suited. The objective of the neural network is to transform the inputs into meaningful outputs. There are many researches which show that brain store information as pattern. Some of these patterns are very complicated and allows us to recognize from different angles. This paper gives a review of the artificial neural network and analyses the techniques in terms of performance. Keywords ANN, PDP, ITNN, CPN, CNN, CCNN, HN, TSP, RNN, Bi ANN, CDR, LRN INTRODUCTION The objective of the neural network is to transform the input to meaningful output. Neural networks are often used for statistical analysis and data modeling. Neural network has many uses in data processing, robotics, and medical diagnosis [2]. From the starting of the neural network there are various types found, but each and every types has some advantages and disadvantages. Deep learning and neural network software are the categories of artificial neural network. The parallel process also allows ANNs to process the large amount of data very efficiently. The discussions between the government and these groups helped lead to the implementation of new regulations that promote mineral exploration and development in a manner that recognizes Aboriginal and treaty rights. The Mining Act does a very good job at protecting certain aspects of the environment such as ensuring that over exploitation of minerals does not occur, or making it mandatory to have a plan in place for closing the mine as well as assuring that there is money to do so. Although there are many things that this Act does right, there are also areas in which there are issues and should be improved. One of the first issues pertaining to this Act is the impact that it fails to mitigate regarding water quality. • 37. The Importance Of The Self And Society Contrary to popular belief, the self and society are not separate entities, they are dialectic and influence the development of each other. This relationship can be examined through behavior and interaction of an individual s self with social reality. The self relates to society through a variety of different sociological theories including Dramaturgy, Symbolic interactionism, the looking glass self, phenomenology, and ethnomethodology. All the above argue that society and the self are shaped through experiences within our everyday lives, and that communication with other selves is necessary to make up the larger societal structure. Without the self, society would cease to exist. Socialization is the process through which the self emerges through social interaction (Gorea, 2017). The self is not an organic thing that has a specific location whose fundamental fate is to be born, to mature, and to die, nonetheless, is a dramatic effect arising from a scene that is presented (Goffman, 1959:252) In other words, the way we are socialized into society leaves an impression on ourselves, as well as our impression leaves a lasting effect on society. Through this process of socialization, we learn to adopt the perspective of others, and act in a manner molded to represent the expectations of society. Al Shabaab is the current of those groups with a claim to make Somali an Islamic state, while at the same time getting rid of the inter clan wrangles. However, Al shabaab has an extremist view of Islam and intends to make everyone follow the same ideas, those who do not, they believe deserve to die. Instead, God is still actively involved in every part of His creation today. This belief is crucial for the Christian scientists in today s world. Ones who study cells and molecules can discover how astounding and detailed God, the Creator, is with this belief in mind. God is working through his seen and unseen creation. In the tiniest cell, God s workmanship can be displayed. God made each cell to have a specific purpose towards the human body or the plant. Cells and molecules are the work of an intelligent designer and are not random chances. Without God, cells could not accomplish their purpose. God places every geneon DNAand makes the cells come together to form a human. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother s womb (Psalm 139:13, NIV). Through cells and molecules, God creates each unique person on His earth. When a Christian scientist knows God is at work in His creation, they can have a new perspective of cells. They will see cells as the design of God instead of results of randomness. Once they observe and study cells, they can learn more about God. They can learn how detail oriented and omniscient He is. It is that simple. Analysis of Paul s Jewish state of mind prior to his conversion is important to note before one reaches Wright s conclusion. Paul, Saul of Tarsus at this point, was not interested in a timeless system of salvation, whether of works righteousness or anything else. He wanted God to redeem Israel (pp. 32). He, like other Jews, desired to see their God, Yahweh, finally fulfilling his promise of raising all Jews to the new Israel, or new world. He was zealous for God, but as one can see, he was zealous in the wrong manner. Following the story in Acts, Saul is drastically converted on the road to Damascus. Paul claims to have seen Jesus in this drastic divine occurrence. This is of utmost importance. Once Saul saw the resurrected Jesus it was not that he lost his Jewish heritage, but there is now a cognitive understanding that God had done for Jesus of Nazareth, in the middle of time, what Saul had thought he was going to do for Israel at the end of time (pp. 36). Thus, there is a realization that Jesus was the intercessor for God s promise, the one who took on the curse of Israel. The resurrection proves that the claims by Jesus followers were indeed right. Abortion makes its history back to the mid 1800s when states started to make abortion illegal. The fear that the states had in the 1800s were that the population... The only way to get an abortion was when it was necessary to save a woman s life and this would be a legal abortion. Criminalized abortion did not affect the number of women that seeked abortion. There was an estimated 1.2 million illegal abortions a year before Roe v Wade. Although this is uncertain due to the thousands of women that suffered harm during these illegal abortions. Many women would try to induce abortion or go to mal practitioners with primitive methods and in unsanitary conditions. Hospitals cared for thousands of women that had illegal abortions that were now suffering terrible effects of abortion. SOme women were able to have a private doctor in better conditions provide the safer abortion procedure. During the 1967 to 1973 one third of the states tried to legalize abortions and be rid of abortion laws. Although the right to have abortion in all states happened in 1973 when the supreme court was able to strike down those laws. Roe v. In the case there are 10 common challenges of BI implementations, which of these would you rate as most important for Eubanks and Wnek at CTC, and why? How would you address them? Business Intelligence (BI) is the consolidation and analysis of internal data and / or external data for the purpose of effective decision making. At the core of all BI initiatives is a data warehouseto hold the data and analytics software. The data warehouse stores data from operational systems in the organization and restructures it to enable queries and models to extract decision support reports. The primary objective of BI was to support and enable business and IT strategies at CTC. In the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... CTC IT was largely seen as a hardware provider and manager but not as a strategic business partner. 3. Compare the exhibits that depict the current versus the future desired BI infrastructure. What challenges exist for the implementation of the BI initiative? Fig: Current BI Environment In this figure, there are two sources of information for business: 1). Information from IW, which has passed through the ETL process before it goes to the end users. 2.) Information from independent data sources, which is processed by different standards. This is counter to the strategic goal of eliminating duplication of analysis, reporting and ad hoc analysis. This environment consumes more time for business users to understand end user data, and more money for the firm which is wasted on different and possibly conflicting results. Fig: Future BI Environment This figure illustrates the future of BI for CTC. Independent data sources have been incorporated into a single BI system, within a global data model. All data will be loaded into corporate EDW via ETL. The EDW will feed the financial data mart for enterprise performance management, so business users will be able to conduct planning and budgeting functions. On the right side of the EDW, BI specialists will assist in organizing data marts into four categories: Supply Chain, Vendor, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Deception In A Doll s House And The Stronger Analysis of Marriage and Deception Within A Doll s House and The Stronger Both the stories of A Doll s House and The Stronger contain a common theme of the presence of lies and deceit to maintain an idealistic life within their society. Ibsen and Strindberg displayed how both the characters Nora and Madame X are the stereotypical, general female roles who wish to have an ideal relationship with both their husbands and those around them. They both have recurring situations in which the lead character confronts the root of their problems. To Nora, that is her husband and the insincerity of their relationship, while for Madame X, it s Mademoiselle Y. A prime example of Nora s idealism is in the fact that her husband so often mistreated her and demanded so much, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When I was home with Papa he told me his opinion about everything, and so I had the same opinions; and if I differed from him I concealed the fact, because he would not have liked it. He called me his doll child, and he played with me just as I used to play with my dolls (Ibsen 66). Nora s relationship with her husband was compared to that of her husband, showing truly how indecently both her father and husband had treated her within their normal family life. She wasn t able to have her own opinion, and was shown disapproval for it. Hence, she was forced to create a personality to use around Torvald and also those who she wanted have the thought that they were indeed a perfect family. Torvald seemed to be more like a controlling parent figure to Nora rather than an ideal husband. Most of her character points revolved around the idea that she was to be a doll living in a doll s house, to be perfect and act as what one may consider a trophy wife. Additionally, Nora was forced to make decisions and do things that was considered somewhat illicit for women at the time. Primarily, it was her ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A Brief Look at The Beatles and Their Music The Beatles would ultimately pursue a goal quite similar to that of Marx to change the way people think about the world In order to create a better, more just world a theme particularly relevant in their later work. Discuss. Baur, S (2006) The Beatles and Philosophy Chicago: Open Court p87 Beatles music makes you feel good, even 30 years after first hearing it, I and many other fans get intense pleasure from listening to the songs. By the age of 4 I was a keen listener, and by the age of 7 I owned all their albums. My view of the world we live in was shaped to a greater or lesser extent by the messages and music on those albums. Before researching this topic, I have already in my mind my own understanding as to the Beatles goals and their developing intentions throughout the decade, their involvement with political activity, and what, in particular, Ono and Lennon sought to achieve in their ten month peace campaign during 1969. The goals and philosophy of Marx, of a classless society and socialist order, reflected the civil, feminist, sexual freedom and anti war movements of the 1960 s fairly closely. The sixties were also a time when many people were freer to experiment with the social and political philosophy of Karl Marx . Harris, J.F (1993).
