It All Started When I Was Born
I was born on January 20th, 1999, in the town of Bloomington, Indiana. I come from a Venezuelan
family and I am the middle child of three; one younger brother and one older sister. Throughout my
childhood, there has been a bountiful amount of great memories in my life. There simply isn t one
memory in particular or small group of memories that I would classify as my greatest memories . My

I volunteered to help the setup and operation of my church s annual summer festival for the
community at large every year. I also help out my school community and church community by
organizing and collecting for food drives and collections for things like toiletries and gently used
clothing for those less fortunate.
Throughout my academic career, I held leadership positions during my work in National Honor
Society, Link Crew, and as a student ambassador and catechist. At my high school, I received the
honor of Academic Excellence in Trigonometry and graduated Cum Laude. I also received
scholarships including the Dexter High School Alumni scholarship and the Dexter Lions Club
scholarship. As a student, I equally enjoyed all my courses and school life, and haven t had any major
likes or dislikes throughout my academic career.
The reason why I chose to become a business major is because I enjoy dealing with people, whether it
be problem solving as a group or completing a task as an individual; business majors are always
needed in corporations. I decided to study at Michigan State University, the Eli Broad College of
Business is ranked one of the top business schools within the nation along with their other business
programs. MSU is also a closed campus that is not integrated within the city and I prefer that type of

unconditioned stimulus (UCS) appeared before the bell, the conditioned stimulus (CS), then
conditioning is not likely to occur. The bell signals the arrival of food. Pavlov called this the law of
contiguity: The closer the two are in time (with neutral stimulus preceding presentation of UCS), the
stronger the conditioning (generally speaking) Extinction. This concept is similar to common sense
idea of forgetting. Pavlov found that when he sounded the tone repeatedly without presenting food, the
dog s salivation also decreased. After the conditioning phase, the conditioned response (CR) gets
weaker when the conditioned stimulus (CS) or the bell is not accompanied by the UCS (food). It gets
weaker not because the organism no longer remembers the UCS CS connection. It gets weaker
