Taking a Look at Surrogate Mothers
Surrogacy is a controversial issue nowadays. Surrogacy allows a woman to give the gift of parenthood
to a couple who would otherwise not have been able to experience it, either due to infertility or
inability to adopt a child. In some cases, the surrogate can obtain monetary compensation for her
services. According to Anderson (1990), A commercial surrogate mother is someone who is paid
money to bear a child for other people and to terminate her parental rights, to lead to a situation that
the others may raise the child as exclusively their own.
In the aspect of the intended parents, there are reasons for people who need the surrogacy service.
Firstly, Intended mothers can have a huge variety of health issues that make pregnancy impossible or
undesirable. For instance, some women s womb cannot support a fetus that they may miscarry for
many times that cannot get pregnant successfully. Secondly, there are also women that have biological
problems which affect their ability to reproduce. The reproductive system is complex and can cause
various ailments which make pregnancy impossible. Thirdly, some women may turn to surrogate
mothers because of severe health problems. While the woman may be healthy enough to be an
effective mother, her body may be unable to survive pregnancy. For example, some women would
choose to use a surrogate mother because they have heart problems which may cause the mother to be
unable to survive in a traditional child birth. There are also women that

Why Western Governors University Essay
Why WGU?
Choosing what college to attend can be a daunting process at any time. Selecting a school as an adult
student can be even more difficult. Beyond the normal considerations of cost, program types,
traditional school or online, and location, there are additional factors to consider as an adult student.
These may include work schedule conflicts, family life, distance to travel, and credit earned for life
experience. The nineteen governors who founded Western Governors University took these things into
consideration when developing the school and its programs. They developed a school that offers a
truly exceptional level of quality in education at a price that is around half of that charged by other
schools. So if low cost, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This occurs because the education received is competency based, rather than credit based. If a student
has prior experience and/or knowledge of a particular subject, or is able to work quickly and learn fast,
he or she can demonstrate that competence very quickly and move on to another subject. ( About
WGU: How We re Different, 2010) The student is also billed per semester, not per credit or course
taken. This allows the student to complete as many credits as he or she can adequately handle, all for
the same low price. This saves the student both time and money, both of which are precious in today s
economy. ( Tuition and Financial Aid, 2010) Students today are also looking for a school that is
convenient for them, both in location and in flexibility of scheduling. Western Governors University
offers convenience in both areas. Since it is an online school, the location couldn t be any more
appropriate. It is simply wherever the student has access to the internet and the time to study, whether
that is at home, on a break at work, or even on vacation. In addition, there are no set times for classes,
so a student can spend just a few minutes or long hours studying the necessary material whenever it is
suitable for him or her. What could be more convenient than working at one s own pace at a location
of one s own choosing? One might think that in exchange for lower tuition fees and no set class times,
one might have to give

Culture Awareness In Nigeria
Culture is defined as the customary beliefs, social forms, and material traits of a racial, religious, or
social group. according to Merriam Webster (2017). What does this mean to the average individual?
When surrounded by various cultures, as humans, we sometimes have tough decisions to make. You
can develop new relationships, or avoid another due to one s culture. The world is a very intriguing
place because no matter where you go, no country, state or city will be exactly the same. It is always
interesting to compare countries to America to realize how different our culture compares to others.
For example, Nigeria (when compared to the United States) is a very different place which could be a
vast culture shock to someone who is not familiar with that specific culture or society. Nigeria is
relatively small but has a population which surpasses Russia. This being said, in Nigeria the average
age is only 17.9 years old where the United States and Russia have an average age of 38 years old.
Understanding culture awareness and its effect on the way humans live can make one very successful
when they find themselves in a foreign environment.
Nigeria is small in relation to the United States of America while still being the 32nd largest nation in
the world. Despite its size Nigeria has a population of 190,632,261, according to The World Factbook
(2017), which is the seventh largest in the world. The President of Nigeria is Muhammadu Buhari who

Personality Characteristics And Characteristics Of...
Personality, according to the American Psychological Association, refers to individual differences in
characteristic patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. The study of personality focuses on two
broad areas: One understands individual differences in particular personality characteristics, such as
sociability or irritability. The other area understands how the various parts of a person come together
as a whole. (Kumari, 2015). There are layers to every individual s way of thinking and interacting with
the world that are defined by their experiences and their innate characteristics. These characteristics
are displayed in every aspect of a person s life. The personality is a fingerprint people instinctively
leave when completing everyday tasks as well as dealing with others. A person s behavior can become
predictable because of the consistency of the pattern of characteristics and actions the person displays.
A person disposition, forces them to be who they truly are and to live a life with accomplishments that
reflect their views on the world (Goodarzi, 2015). When determining personality, there are five
approaches which researchers focus on to determine one s personality. The first approach is the trait
approach which concentrates on the individual differences and the unique organization of the
adaptations to the environment determined by the psychological systems. Gordon Allport, a trait
psychologist, believes the development of traits supports a personological

How to Conserve the Environment
Conservation of the environment are at the top of environmental group s mind nowadays. As much
attention as this subject gets from them, it gets just as much ignoring by the many people. Most of
them feel compelled to help or contribute, yet few seldom do carry out their intentions. This is a very
serious subject that needs to receive immediate and full attention from the government and the general
public. Only they can truly make a difference. Thus, ways to both parties involve in conserving the
environment keen to maintain our country wide diversity of flora and fauna. In developed countries
and urban areas, the use of print, broadcast, and Internet media can be a great way to increase

Reusable bags are convenient and come in a variety of sizes and styles. Some reusable bags can even
be rolled or folded small enough to fit into a purse or pocket. Lastly, many banks, utilities and other
businesses now offer their customers the option of paying bills online, eliminating the need to write
and mail paper checks or to keep paper records. By paying your bills online you can save time and
money, lower the administrative costs of companies with which you do business, and reduce global
warming by helping to prevent deforestation. Signing up for online bill paying is easy and doesn t take
much time. You can either choose to have certain bills paid automatically each month or elect to
review and pay each bill yourself. Either way, you will receive outstanding returns on your small
investment of time. In conclusion, if we continue at the present rate we are at now, we could lose our

Ardipithecus Research Paper
Ardipithecus and other early Australopithecines lived in a habitat much wetter than the environment of
Aramis, Ethiopia today. The set for scene one could at times experience a rain fall, and should include
a woodland habitat with patches of denser forest and an abundant amount of monkeys just as what
would have been seen between five and three million years ago. In 1992, an expedition led by Tim
White of the University of California, Berkeley discovered the fossil of Ardipithecus ramidus, dating
back to 4.4 million years ago. The skeleton nicknamed Ardi ended up weighing around 112 pounds,
stood almost four feet tall, (somewhat larger than a male chimpanzee but smaller than a female
gorilla) and was most likely a female. Ardi s ape sized brain has a cranial capacity of only 300 to 350

Ardipithecus ramidus. The special effects crew could utilize CGI in order to alter the structure of the
chimpanzee s face in close up shots. White s research team found little sexual dimorphism present
between male and female Ar. ramidus based off the only slight differentiation in tooth size. The scene
might then only include hominins relatively close in size. Ardipithecus ramidus most likely lived in a
community similar to the social structure of chimpanzees, comprised of adult males and females and
their offspring. Anthropologist Owen Lovejoy believes that there was even an intensified male

Essay On Trump Move To End Daca And Calls On Congress To Act
Trump Moves to End DACA and Calls on Congress to Act
On September 5, 2017, Michael D. Shear and Julie Hirschfeld Davis wrote the article, Trump Moves
to End DACA and Calls on Congress to Act. On this day, President Donald Trump said that he would
be putting an end to the DACA Program that was created during Barack Obama s Presidency.
President Trump is now discussing the issue of revoking DACA due to his early comments in the
election about immigration laws, The announcement was an effort by Mr. Trump to honor the law and
order message of his campaign, which included a repeated pledge to end Mr. Obama s immigration
policy, while seeking to avoid the emotionally charged and politically perilous consequences of
targeting a sympathetic group ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The authors are able to avoid logical fallacies by only giving out the needed information and quoting
necessary people. Overall, the article gives accurate information that readers will find necessary about
what President Trump wants to do with the DACA program.
The authors are able to incorporate both stances on the DACA issue, by doing this, they are able to
prevent strong or discernible biases of the topic. Shear and Davis included both stances by quoting
opposing people s opinions. For example, they quoted President Donald Trump, who intends to revoke
DACA, he says that the reason for his concern about DACA is, the millions of Americans victimized
by this unfair job system. But the authors also quote former President Barack Obama, who helped
create the DACA program, when he heard of Trump s plan he stated, Whatever concerns or complaints
Americans may have about immigration in general, we shouldn t threaten the future of this group of
young people who are here through no fault of their own, who pose no threat, who are not taking away
anything from the rest of us. The quotes are able to give the reader an unbiased perspective of the
topic. Criticism is only shown in the article when the authors quote other people, either criticizing
DACA or criticizing the people trying to revoke it. Donald Trump and Jeff Sessions criticize DACA,
but Mark Zuckerberg, Marielena Hincapie, and

Importance Of Luck In Short Story
In numerous short stories, luck has played a very important part of the story depending on the
different situations the characters of the stories are in. The titles of the three stories this essay will be
examining are The Bamboo Trap , The Side Bet and The Most Dangerous Game . All three stories
have many similarities. They were all very suspenseful and exciting. The setting of all three stories
were also alike. For example, they all took place in desolate, dangerous areas. However, this essay
will be focusing on another similarity of the short stories, the role in which luck played in the them.
Luck has helped the characters in numerous parts of the stories to overcome even the most impossible
scenarios. It was one of the key factors contributing to the plot, as luck decides if the main character
will survive... or not. Most importantly, it created a surprising conclusion. The role of luck played a
critical and important part in the stories because it saved the main characters lives creating a surprising
conclusion in the stories. In the first story, The Bamboo Trap , the main character in the story is John
Mather. The story took place in the Chuquipata Mountain where Mather had to collect dangerous
Cuabandan Spiders. Mather had been warned that the particular mountain he was going to venture up
was unquestionably treacherous. Wanting better chances of ensnaring the spiders they thought were
nearing extinction, Mather moved further and further away from his camp to place his traps. He was
trying to cross a bridge of bamboo, when suddenly, the bridge gave way, and he plunged down a hole
that lead to a pear shaped cave. He came up with an idea to dig his way out. When night fell, hundreds
of hairy legged spiders came to the cave to seek shelter and camouflage from its predators. They were
the spiders that Mather was supposed to be collecting. Unfortunately, the spiders started biting and
attacking their unexpected guest, Mather. He had to fight them off for the whole night. When dawn
came and the spiders receded, Mather began to dig again. That night, more spiders returned pursuing
safety from the heavy rain. He had to fight off spiders as the cave started flooding rapidly. Mather

Comparison Between Impressionism And Post Impressionism
Art is the best way humans can express their thoughts and realities. Many people do not see art in a
linear fashion; whether a painting is from the 1800s or the 1900s many people would consider them
the same. Art has gone through many changes since its conception many millennia ago. Due to this,
one cannot scrutinize all of the art movements in the same fashion. Two of art s largest movements,
Impressionism and Post Impressionism, are commonly lumped together in the same category.
Although these movements are very similar in name, they have distinct characteristics that set them
apart. However, they also have some aspects in common. The Impressionist art movement took place
between the years 1874 and 1886. At the time this movement was birthed, the majority of high end art
being made was made in a super realistic and classical way. The Salon, a place in France where art
was displayed, only accepted this kind of art. The Salon was ran by the French government and all art
placed in it had to be approved. The Impressionists were always refused due to them not painting
about significant figures in the government or of the church. Impressionists painted about ordinary
people doing ordinary things alongside landscapes and taboo topics. The Salon did not only refuse
them because of this but also because Impressionists did not paint in an ultra realistic manner. Claude
Monet is one of the most recognizable painters in the Impressionist movement and one of the most
popular at

The Three Powerful Men In The Triumvirate In Ancient Rome
A triumvirate is a group of three powerful people who rule an area. The agreement can be written or
unwritten. The three people would, theoretically have an equal say on dealing in the territory, in this
case, Rome. However, one person usually stood out in the group as the leader. In Ancient Rome, there
were 2 triumvirates. The First Triumvirate was formed in 60 B.C. to share the power and make each
person more powerful than before. The three men in the triumvirate were Julius Caesar, Marcus
Licinius Crassus, and Pompey the Great. Caesar was elected consul in Gaul, where he became very
successful. Following the death of Crassus, a rivalry between the Caesar and Pompey erupted. The
Senate ordered Caesar to disband his army and return to Rome.

Differences Of Myths
It can be seen that every culture have historical stories associated with their origin that have been
passed from one generation to another. Some among these are classified as legends, while others are
called as myths. These stories mostly consist of a superman like character that breaks all logic and
rules of nature. According to me, History is a concern which raises a number of issues in factual way
where sources come from primary sources or objective secondary sources. History is considered as an
accurate guide to the past which is read to explain, analyze and describe the truths of the past. On the
other hand, Myths only tells about a few daily occurrences through very subjective ways. The sources
for myths come from word of mouth, imagination ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

otherworldly quality that would never fall flat them in times of need. Myths are stories of confidence,

The United States Constitution Vs. American Civil...
The United States Constitution gives the American people their freedom so to speak. The Constitution
outlines many things that other countries don t offer their citizens such as freedom of speech, religion
and the press. The First Amendment of the Constitutions guarantees that the United States people have
rights to freedom of expression and freedom of religion without the interference of the government.
The Bible states in Deuteronomy 17: 18 19, Now it shall come about when he sit on the throne of his
kingdom, he shall write for himself a copy of this law on a scroll in the presence of the Levitical
priests. It shall be with him, and he shall read it, all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the
Lord his God, by carefully observing all the words of this law and these statutes . These laws have
been called into question on several different occasions. However, like anything else, there are some
stipulations with these laws. Reno v. American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) did shed some insight
on the laws and how they can be interpreted. This paper will discuss the criminal statute issues, issues
with the provisions of the Constitution, and the status of criminal prosecution for transmission of

New Labour Thatcherism Similarities
For many, New Labour possessed an abundance of similarities to the Conservative governments
previous to it, in particular the 1979 1990 party led by Margret Thatcher. These similarities are evident
in their continuation of Conservative policies and their abandonment of Labour policies that were
previously inherent to the party. It is important to note that I have interpreted warmed up as a term
describing New Labour s less confrontational style of governance in comparison to that of Thatcher.
This essay will be arguing that New Labour was more than warmed up Thatcherism, in fact, they
posed as an advancer of Thatcherism through their continuation of Thatcherite policies and their
decision to build upon them. To evaluate this point, it is necessary to define the origins of both New
Labour and Thatcherism. The 1997 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Geography Of Chicken Soup
The focus of this assignment is on the geography of chicken soup. For purposes of this particular
assignment, the claimed country of origin in Cuba. The reason the term claimed is used is due to the
fact that this particular dish may be believed to have originated in many other countries as well. As
such, the recipe, and more specifically the ingredients used, will most likely differ based upon the
country and region that it is originated from. With regard to the Cuban version of chicken soup, the
same is comprised of thirteen (13) ingredients, to wit: olive (oil); onion (red and green); cilantro;
cumin (ground); wheat (flour); chicken (stock and thigh); cassava; calabash; potato (red); plantain;
lemon (juice); salt; and, pepper. Notwithstanding the fact that these ingredients are customarily used to
make the Cuban version of chicken soup, these same ingredients were not all domesticated in the
region that Cuba is located in. For example, Cuba is located in the Caribbean region. Out of the
thirteen (13) ingredients mentioned, only one ingredient is native to said region calabash.
Furthermore, as the case with other Caribbean countries, calabash is said to be native and common in
the wild in Cuba, Puerto Rico, [and] the Dominican Republic.... (Morton, 1987, p. 334 335). As such,

responded with He is your budder? No, I countered, He is my broffer. With an even more confused
look he asked me again, He is your buffer? Now I was annoyed. I thought I sounded normal, but he
was looking at me like I had a third eye. He. is. My. broffer! I said, exaggerating the word slowly and
condescendingly. That is where the memory cuts off. I don t remember whether he finally understood

Outline what happens in at least two different Baptismal services. Refer to the symbolism involved.
Infant baptism The infant is dressed in white clothing that represents the purity gained after the
completion if the baptismal service. Water is poured on to the forehead of the child or the child is
immersed in water by the priest in the presence of the parents, god parents and generally a sponsor.
The specific way that the procedure has to take place can depend on the choosing of the family.
Believers baptism The person being baptised publicly confirms their understanding of the baptism and
the acceptance of God into their life by answering a series of questions. Then a member of the church
immerses them in water. The procedure symbolises the spiritual rebirth or awakening which has taken
place in their lives and their will to follow Christ in life. 4. How does this practice express the beliefs
of Christianity? (refer to sacred texts, traditions and statements by leaders of various denominations)

Why The Convicts Were Sent To Australia
The movement of people around the world has a long history, with many migrations having been
forced. With the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade spanning over 400 years, dating back to the 1400s, the
forced transportation of Africans to Europe and the Americas gave rise to cheap labour and justifiable
racism. Also utilised as cheap labour, British convicts were transported against their will to a foreign
settlement in the eighteenth century, however, the way that both groups were treated greatly differed.
Slave trade was introduced ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The conditions in England were so bad people were forced to steal basic items such as food and

England had average wages and most were caught stealing, the Americans had told England that there
were to be no more convicts to be sent there, therefore England were forced to send the convicts to
Australia. The English benefited by the reduced prison population. The circumstances of the convicts

Salted Pork, Beef. Mutton, Damper and fresh meat, they were fed 3 times a day. If a convict disobeyed
an order they were heavily punished. They were given floggings if they didn t respect the marines on
the ship, a short whip was made up of nine strands of leather and knotted along its length to give it

The Short Story Of Daru s The Guest
Albert Campus is an award winning author who has received a Nobel Peace Prize for his literature. In
1957 he wrote, L Hôte a word in the French vocabulary that has a double meaning translating to guest
and host. Although, in English, it only translates to the guest. This is the first ambiguous clue in the
story that points out Campus s beliefs and gives readers a point of observation. The Guest is a short
story about an Algerian born Frenchman with the occupation of teaching. He lives in a desolate that is
isolated and rarely has visitors. Whereas, one day a Corsican named Balducci comes there on
horseback because he was given government orders to deliver an Arab criminal. Balducci then gave
Daru the news that the government has also ordered Daru that he must then deliver the Arab to jail.
With this news, Daru then struggles to decide whether he should bring the Arab to jail or set him free.
It is an internal struggle that Daru and the Arab have to face between choosing right from wrong and
understanding if the two meanings matter. Campuses ambiguous writing distinguishes that by not
taking total responsibility for a choice, that itself is a choice. Daru and the Arab both have conflicting
choices that they face throughout the entire short story suggests that whether one may want to or not
there are choices underlyingly people make.
Daru is initially conflicted between having a strong opinion about following the code of law, and the
wrongdoing of the crime the Arab has

Timeless Literature Project
Earlier this year I was assigned the Timeless Literature Project. I went straight to my mom and asked
what book she recommended I read, she told me to read Lord of the Flies. Now that I ve read it and
spoken to her many times about the book, I d like to share some thoughts that we generated in our
final discussion. We spoke about how the Cold War was a major influence in my mom s life and how
she thought that the book was set in that time. I talked about how I could relate Ralph s losing of
innocence. We both agreed that this story can be applied in areas of today s culture such as my mother
s pre school class, the turmoil in the middle east, or even Langston Hughes Middle School. The
overarching question we had was if all of this anarchy, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, I greatly enjoyed reading the book and got a lot out of it. For one thing, recreations of this
story can be seen everywhere in society and in my life, I don t think I ll see the world through the
same lens. I thought that Ralph was a very relatable character, in that he only asked the boys to do one
thing (keep the fire going) and they wouldn t listen. I find myself in that situation quite often. Lord of
the Flies was a relatively short and fast paced book, so my mom hit that right on the nose, but the
recommendation was a little bit advanced for my reading level. Nevertheless, I could still understand
the main points and themes. I deem this book timeless because of it s unique ability to explain the dark
desires of human nature in a way that applies to everyone. My discussion with my mom was awkward
at first, but as we got into the groove of things I learned a lot about her and gained a whole new
perspective on the book. I recommend this book to a peer with a greater reading ability than me, and a
better grasp on the themes of life because having that deeper understanding of literature and human
existence would only enhance the reader s experience with Lord of the

Essay on The Giant Panda
The Giant Panda (Ailuropoda Melanoleuca) lives in the bamboo forests
of southwestern China. This type of panda is endangered and to this day
there are only around a thousand pandas left (http//:panda.org, 1).
Adult giant pandas have a length of 160 to 180
centimeters (5/14 to 6 feet). The weight of an adult
male giant panda is normally between 80 and 125
kilograms (176 and 276 pounds) with males
typically weighing about 10% to 20% more than
females about the same size as the American black

Giant pandas are by nature solitary animals, most of the time avoiding

between March and May, the females must seek each other out in order to
mate (Etling 3). Pandas are known to begin mating at six years of age
(Jonkel 1).
In the months of August or September, one or two
cubs are born in a sheltered den made of twigs and
leaves. The mother will hold the cub to its chest
with both paws until the youngster squirms away.
This is to ensure that the cub is alive and well. The
young cub will become the mother s constant
companion for the next 18 months until the cub is
able to live on its own (Etling 3).
When panda cubs are born they usually weigh 3 to 5 ounces or about
4 5 grams each (1/900th of the mothers weight) (Etling 1). When the baby
pandas are born, they are blind and hairless. After a short 10 days, the cubs
eventually grow hair and gain sight.
The pandas eating diet is very basic. There are 25 different types of
bamboo that pandas eat. When the panda eats bamboo, the panda usually sits
in an upright position holding the bamboo out in front of it.

The Age Of Innocence By Edith Wharton And The Waste Land
The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton and The Waste Land by T.S. Eliot has similar recurring
imagery. Both literary works portray two women in a way and compare these two women characters.
Wharton s portrayal of gender in the society of Old New York illustrates the perfect woman through
May Welland along with the imperfect woman through Ellen Olenska, whereas in the poem The Waste
Land by T.S. Eliot, the role and sexuality of women is shown through the juxtaposition of two women
in the section A Game of Chess.
In The Age of Innocence, Edith Wharton portrays gender through the juxtaposition of Ellen and May.

Newland fears that May wont be able to see any of the world even if she opens her eyes. Just like the
cavefish isn t able to see after living in darkness for years, May might not be able to see after living in
the shadow of society. Newland is attempting to draw May away from her innocent personality and
open her eyes to the world. He fears that May will end up like a copy of her mother, who perfectly
portrays the role of a wife in society. Newland wants more out of May, not just the perfect housewife.
Ellen Olenska portrays the other side of the juxtaposition of women in The Age of Innocence. She is
more individualistic than May and her experiences outside of the United States such as her failed
marriage in Europe show that Ellen is a woman who is independent. For this reason, Ellen fails to
grasp the social code once she enters the society of Old New York. A great example comes at the
beginning of the novel when Ellen enters the opera in clothing that is provocative for the event. When
Ellen enters the opera in this European style dress that reveals too much shoulder, she shocks Old New
York. The suggestion of this headdress, which gave her what was then called a Josephine look, was
carried out in the cut of the dark blue velvet gown rather theatrically caught up under her bosom by a
girdle with a large old fashioned clasp. The wearer of this unusual dress, who seemed quite
unconscious of the attention it was attracting [...] (6, Wharton). The

Persuasive Essay On Geothermal Energy
Geothermal energy is one of the cleanest sources of renewable energy, unlike some other sources of
renewable energy, geothermal energy is contained within a relatively small area, and doesn t affect
local wildlife, it also doesn t produce large amounts of toxic waste, and is nowhere near as
controversial as nuclear power. Unfortunately geothermal energy isn t used nearly as much as many of
the other types of renewable energy, in fact, there are only 12 operating geothermal power plants in
the US, a relatively small number compared to the 557 coal power plants that currently supply the
United States with its second largest source of power. Yet while the fields of solar and wind power
seem to be growing exponentially, geothermal energy remains relatively small.
Sadly the problem with geothermal energy isn t one that can be easily changed. The reason geothermal
power plants are so few and and far between is the overly specific circumstances that are needed to
harness the underground heat; geothermal power plants require hydrological sites with naturally high
temperatures of around 150 to 370, in the form of wells, hot water is then pumped out of these wells is
then pumped out of these wells, into one of three different systems, dry steam, dry steam, or binary

out of the earth in the form of steam, since the water is already a gas, it can be injected straight into

Time Enough For Drum By Ann Rinaldi Analysis
The novel Time Enough For Drums by Ann Rinaldi is a story about love, loss, and sacrifice. In the
novel, there were many important characters that played key roles in the story. The novel takes place
during the time of the revolutionary war. The Emerson family has their two sons fighting in the war,
and their mother is helping sew clothing for the war. They have two slaves named Lucy and Cornelius,
whom they plan to un enslave after the war has ceased. The person that impacted the story the most
was Jemima Emerson. Jemima is a relentless, caring and careless fifteen year old girl that plays one of
the most important roles in the novel. The first idiosyncrasy that best describes Jemima is relentless.

idiosyncrasy that best fits Jemima is caring. First off, John Reid is a spy for the American patriots. He

Compare And Contrast How Magmas Are Generated At Mid-Ocean
COMPARE AND CONTRAST HOW MAGMAS ARE GENERATED AT MID OCEAN RIDGES
AND SUBDUCTION ZONES. According to Middlemost (1988) s basic definition, magma is a heated
rock forming substance that is created within a planet and exists only below Earth. When magma
escapes to the Earth s surface and is extruded, they are known as lavas. Grotzinger and Jordan (2010)
suggests that magma mainly comes from the asthenosphere the upper part of the mantle. Magmas are
usually generated when rocks are under the right temperature and pressure conditions to undergo
partial melting (Grotzinger and Jordan, 2010). At high temperatures and low enough pressures, rocks
would reach its melting point easily. It is known for a fact that temperature increases with depth ...

Subduction zone magmas are formed by convergent plate boundaries between oceanic continental
plates or oceanic oceanic plates (at least one tectonic plate has to be oceanic) (see Fig.1). According to
Grotzinger and Jordan (2010), when the oceanic lithosphere gets subducted, there is fluid induced
melting occurring to the mantle wedge. Therefore, this generates magmas of varying composition.
From Prichard et al. s findings, mid ocean ridge magmas are usually basaltic in composition whereas
subduction zone magmas are andesitic and more silicic. Subduction zone magma compositions also
depend on the materials being subducted. Hence, in terms of chemical composition, the subduction
zone magmas and are definitely more varied compared to the mid ocean ridge magmas. Subduction

The Stereotypes Of Organized Crime
Organized crime has been an extremely prevalent subject over the past decades, whether it s in the
news, fictional stories or hybrid docudrama, this type of crime has been a steadily popular subject in
the media s eyes. It has provoked a stream of intellectual discussion on its nature and the impact of its
diverse representations. Regardless of opposing views as to this relationship, there is a broad
agreement that the media has a tendency to be selective and oversimplify. They tend to focus largely
on individual pathologies and violence. Hollywood s style of glamorizing things is commonly fused
with dubiously obtained facts, which provide an energetic account of excitement and danger for
society. This is because in today s world, quick news turnover and profit growth drive media.
Organized crime TV shows and movies have embellished and created popular stereotypical characters
as well as criminal activities, to the point where the line between real and fake has become extremely
distorted.
With this in mind, the article The Chicago Outfit: Challenging the Myths About Organized Crime
examines some of the many myths that people believe to be true due to what they hear and see in the
media. Stereotypes of organized crime or OC figures are a continuing feature of popular culture in
America. People have been obsessed with mobsters since the 1920s. They have been glamorized in
things such as books, movies, and television programs as well as been portrayed as criminals, tycoons,

The Importance Of Intertextuality In Literature
Intertextuality the idea that there is only one story and ideas are just borrowed to make more stories.
The importances of this device is to show how culture and everyday life influences authors. Music and
philosophy also have a strong influence through intertextuality. Thomas C. Foster believes that there is
only one big story and every other story is related to that one. In the movie Titanic Jack, dies from
hypothermia, in Romeo and Juliet they both commit suicide. Both stories someone died out of love for
someone else. Grease and High School Musical are two movies that involve high school with singing
and dancing and becoming friends with new people. Another set of movies that have a similar story
line are The Notebook and Romeo and Juliet. In The Notebook Allie s mother doesn t want Allie to be
hanging around Noah. Allie moves away and Noah is crushed, they then find each other again one day
and live a happy life together. They finally died together in each other s arms. In Romeo and Juliet
both of the their families were at war with each other, but Romeo and Juliet fell in love with each
other. But since their families didn t like each other they had to keep it a secret. Eventually other
people find out about the secret relationship. So they came up with a plan, but the plan didn t work
well and they both ended up killing themselves. The examples that I just talked a little about show that
some, not all stories are based on a similar story line. When in Doubt,

Pericles Leadership Style
Described by Thucydides as the foremost Athenian and most able in speech or action [at the time of
the Peloponnesian War,] Pericles ushered in what was widely known as the Golden Age of Athens
(31). He often exercised great prudence in his decision making and was widely admired by the Greek
people. The man stressed justice, the worth of the Empire, and cleaving one s personal interests to
those of the city. Through his eloquent speeches and definitive actions he captured both the hearts of
the Athenians and territory as a premier military commander. The people readily accepted his
authority, and became accustomed to it. This would only lead to problems down the road, however, as
other rulers took up the mantle of Athens. They would only be but a gilded echo of Pericles, unable
and unwilling to follow his path. Therefore, though Pericles did not intentionally set Athens up to fail,
because of the oratorical skill, leadership style, and character he possessed, success could only be truly
achieved by and through him.
First and foremost, Pericles was perhaps the best type of person to lead an empire like Athens because
of his ability to sway the people with his speaking. Near the beginning of a speech by the Corinthians,
wherein Corinth is attempting to persuade the Lacedaemonians to declare war on Athens, the orators
describe the empire as bold beyond their power, [who] take thoughtless risks... and never hesitate (19).
According to them, the Athenians were an impulsive

breathe through gills that are located on the outside of the body in between the body wall and

photographed sitting on ice blocks because his flat face made his breed so prone to overheating. The
film also showed pictures of certain breeds in the early 20th century compared to pictures of the same
breeds today, showing how selective breeding had changed the dogs in the past century. For example,
it showed the lengthened the back of the dachshund, rounded the skull of the bull terrier, and the
almost frog like stance of the german sheperd. According to the documentary, vererinary fees for
purebred dogs were costing British owners 10 million pounds a week. In response to the documentary,
the Kennel Club commissioned an independent study led by Cambridge University professor emeritus
Sir Patrick Bateson. The resulting report largely confirmed the documentary s findings, which
concluded that inbreeding, selecting for extreme characteristics, and the practices of mass breeding
facilities known as puppy mills were negatively impacting dog welfare (The Purebred Paradox Part 2).

Netjets -Customer Service Excellence. Ncfe Lovel 3
NCFE Level 3 Customer Service Excellence
UNIT 1
Task 1
Why Is Service Excellence Important To Your Organisation?
Netjets is a worldwide network of shared aircraft. This is defined as fractional ownership. Customers
make a large investment in a share of a private jet. In relation to the size of their share, they receive a
number of hours flying per year, and they own that asset, the value of which can go up or down. The
customer is also liable for management fees and an occupied hourly flying fee. The customer is
therefore making a very significant investment and expects the highest levels of satisfaction.
Netjets is a customer driven organisation. They do not solely compete on price or product. Customers
are willing to pay a higher ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We can deliver a better experience for our owners at a lower cost. This can be done by doing
everything with the customer in mind, balancing all stakeholders values, integrating operational
excellence skills in everything we do and listening to our customers and to each other.
The Cost Savings Initiative in conjunction with Operational Excellence continues to remain a top
priority for the company. The initiative entails the dedication of all departments. Out of the 215
different proposals, 60 percent have been completed while an additional 26 percent are on track to be
completed by year end. The completed proposals have so far exceeded $46 million and will be
reflected in the 2010 gross savings. CSI is an ongoing process working in parallel with the five year
plan to ensure the stability and profitability of Netjets.
Access and Slots Allocation
After safety, the most important aspect of our service for our owners is the ability to go where they
want, when they want. In 2008, 80 % of all Pre flight negative experiences were due to slot issues.
This means that access at airports is very important to us. We must try to get guaranteed access in
airports where there is a high volume of traffic. 44% of our business is in London, Paris and
Switzerland. Airports around London are particularly complicated in terms of slots.
Netjets has launched the slot optimisation project, a cross departmental

Crew Resource Management
Prior to 1959, faulty equipment was the probable cause for many airplane accidents, but with the
advent of jet engines, faulty equipment became less of a threat, while human factors gained
prominence in accident investigations (Kanki, Helmreich Anca, 2010). From 1959 to 1989, pilot error
was the cause of 70% of accident resulting in the loss of hull worldwide (Kanki, Helmreich Anca,
2010). Due to these alarming statistics, in 1979 the National Aeronautics and Space Administration
(NASA) implemented a workshop called Resource Management on the Flightdeck that led to what is
now known as Crew Resource Management (CRM) or also known as Cockpit Resource Management
(Rodrigues Cusick, 2012). CRM is a concept that has been attributed ... Show more content on

The National Transportation and Safety Board (NTSB) investigation concluded that the probable
cause of the crash was pilot error, and the pilot s failure to properly monitor the flight instruments to
detect their decent before impacting the ground (Elder Elder, 1977). Another significant crash was
United Airlines Flight 173 on December 28, 1978, nearly six years to the day since the Flight 401
incident. Another coincidence is that Flight 173 also experienced a landing gear issue like Flight 401.
The captain of the United Airlines flight attempted to troubleshoot the landing gear issue over the
course of an hour (Noland). During this time, the flight engineer made feeble attempts at making the
captain, who has been described as arrogant, aware of the low fuel state of the aircraft (Noland). The
result was the United Airlines flight crashed in a wooded area killing 10 people after running out of
fuel. The NTSB concluded that whether the flight engineer was unaware of the graveness of the
situation or just didn t assert himself enough to let the captain know about the fuel quantity problem,
something needed to be done in regards of flight crew s interaction and management of their
resources. The NTSB made a recommendation which led to implementing a new program set up by a
NASA workshop called Crew

Dream Keeper s Conference
Brown men have always been worth something, but their worth has been quantified Dr. Allison
McLetchie. This stimulating quote summed up the deeper meaning behind the drive for the Dream
Keeper s Conference. The conference was held on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, in the James and
Dorothy Z. Elmore Chapel. The panel included Dr. McLetchie, Dr. Stephen Ray, and Representative
Bakari Sellers. The purpose of the event was to speak on truth and reconciliation, race, and the justice
system within today s culture. The conference began with a discussion centered on the
#BlackLivesMatter movement, the Charleston shooting and Ferguson. The panelists shared their
thoughts on these issues while the audience concentrated. The Charleston shooting hit close to home
for Representative Sellers; he knew someone who was shot and killed in the shooting. He was the only
one to make it to the hospital alive before he died , Sellers reflected. Dr. Ray brought an unfortunate
element to my attention: People talk about the tragedies for a few weeks and then it s like nothing ever
happened . This statement registered with me because I realized that as these issues were being
brought up, I had forgotten some of the core details of the situations. It makes one wonder about why

Not ignorance in the sense that the black community does not care about what is going on, but
ignorant in the fact that they have not taken out the time to truly investigate and construct possible
solutions. It is one thing to talk amongst friends and families and post thoughts on social media, yet it
is another thing to be an activist and go out and speak amongst strangers about how issues can start to
be resolved in communities. Spreading awareness and having discussions is the starting point for these
issues, but the root of the issue cannot be solved unless we as a people learn to focus on what matters

Religious Freedom And Expression Across The World
Religion is one of the most sensitive issues and almost all people participate in some kind of religious
practice. Even though every religion encourages the idea of peace, tolerance, and acceptance almost
no person stays peaceful or tolerates anyone or anything when it comes to religious differences.
History is full of religious wars and some of them have continued for years and were the cause of
many of men, women, and children s deaths. The issue of religious freedom and expression across the
world has been apparent since the beginning of time and it seems as though these expressions have
separated many groups of people throughout history. Issues of religious confliction and persecution
has also been a major problem throughout the history of mankind. From Wars to genocide and slavery,
religion has been on the forefront of some of mankind s most disturbing moments and is commonly
used as a justification of such acts. These events have effected not only America but every country in
the world and every demographic across the globe. Throughout this paper many of these events will
be discussed in an attempt to open our eyes to how much religion really does separate us as a people.
As religious freedom in America began to develop the splintering of Christianity resulted in more than
900 denominations of that faith currently existing in the United States, of which the vast majority of
Americans are members. These Christian teachings though also led to one of America s biggest

Dynamic Elements In The Sixth Sense
The sixth sense directed by M. Night Shymalan tells a story of a boy who is able to see dead people
seeks help from a child psychologist. The film explores the supernatural from a humanized
perspective. The film portrays a story with dynamic elements which not only consists of horror, but
also love and humanity.1). The theme of this film is to have courage to face your fears. The scene that
contributes most to address the theme is where Cole stops running away from the ghost and finds what
they want and helps them.
2a.The manner of which the story is told is chronological. There is no flash backs presented in this
film, but some other narrative devices such as foreshadowing and symbolism. At the beginning of the

  • 2. Taking a Look at Surrogate Mothers Surrogacy is a controversial issue nowadays. Surrogacy allows a woman to give the gift of parenthood to a couple who would otherwise not have been able to experience it, either due to infertility or inability to adopt a child. In some cases, the surrogate can obtain monetary compensation for her services. According to Anderson (1990), A commercial surrogate mother is someone who is paid money to bear a child for other people and to terminate her parental rights, to lead to a situation that the others may raise the child as exclusively their own. In the aspect of the intended parents, there are reasons for people who need the surrogacy service. Firstly, Intended mothers can have a huge variety of health issues that make pregnancy impossible or undesirable. For instance, some women s womb cannot support a fetus that they may miscarry for many times that cannot get pregnant successfully. Secondly, there are also women that have biological problems which affect their ability to reproduce. The reproductive system is complex and can cause various ailments which make pregnancy impossible. Thirdly, some women may turn to surrogate mothers because of severe health problems. While the woman may be healthy enough to be an effective mother, her body may be unable to survive pregnancy. For example, some women would choose to use a surrogate mother because they have heart problems which may cause the mother to be unable to survive in a traditional child birth. • 3. Why Western Governors University Essay Why WGU? Choosing what college to attend can be a daunting process at any time. Selecting a school as an adult student can be even more difficult. Beyond the normal considerations of cost, program types, traditional school or online, and location, there are additional factors to consider as an adult student. These may include work schedule conflicts, family life, distance to travel, and credit earned for life experience. The nineteen governors who founded Western Governors University took these things into consideration when developing the school and its programs. They developed a school that offers a truly exceptional level of quality in education at a price that is around half of that charged by other schools. So if low cost, ... This allows the student to complete as many credits as he or she can adequately handle, all for the same low price. This saves the student both time and money, both of which are precious in today s economy. ( Tuition and Financial Aid, 2010) Students today are also looking for a school that is convenient for them, both in location and in flexibility of scheduling. Western Governors University offers convenience in both areas. Since it is an online school, the location couldn t be any more appropriate. It is simply wherever the student has access to the internet and the time to study, whether that is at home, on a break at work, or even on vacation. In addition, there are no set times for classes, so a student can spend just a few minutes or long hours studying the necessary material whenever it is suitable for him or her. • 4. Culture Awareness In Nigeria Culture is defined as the customary beliefs, social forms, and material traits of a racial, religious, or social group. according to Merriam Webster (2017). What does this mean to the average individual? When surrounded by various cultures, as humans, we sometimes have tough decisions to make. You can develop new relationships, or avoid another due to one s culture. The world is a very intriguing place because no matter where you go, no country, state or city will be exactly the same. It is always interesting to compare countries to America to realize how different our culture compares to others. For example, Nigeria (when compared to the United States) is a very different place which could be a vast culture shock to someone who is not familiar with that specific culture or society. Nigeria is relatively small but has a population which surpasses Russia. This being said, in Nigeria the average age is only 17.9 years old where the United States and Russia have an average age of 38 years old. Understanding culture awareness and its effect on the way humans live can make one very successful when they find themselves in a foreign environment. Nigeria is small in relation to the United States of America while still being the 32nd largest nation in the world. Despite its size Nigeria has a population of 190,632,261, according to The World Factbook (2017), which is the seventh largest in the world. • 5. Personality Characteristics And Characteristics Of... Personality, according to the American Psychological Association, refers to individual differences in characteristic patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. The study of personality focuses on two broad areas: One understands individual differences in particular personality characteristics, such as sociability or irritability. The other area understands how the various parts of a person come together as a whole. (Kumari, 2015). There are layers to every individual s way of thinking and interacting with the world that are defined by their experiences and their innate characteristics. These characteristics are displayed in every aspect of a person s life. The personality is a fingerprint people instinctively leave when completing everyday tasks as well as dealing with others. A person s behavior can become predictable because of the consistency of the pattern of characteristics and actions the person displays. A person disposition, forces them to be who they truly are and to live a life with accomplishments that reflect their views on the world (Goodarzi, 2015). When determining personality, there are five approaches which researchers focus on to determine one s personality. The first approach is the trait approach which concentrates on the individual differences and the unique organization of the adaptations to the environment determined by the psychological systems. The titles of the three stories this essay will be examining are The Bamboo Trap , The Side Bet and The Most Dangerous Game . All three stories have many similarities. They were all very suspenseful and exciting. The setting of all three stories were also alike. For example, they all took place in desolate, dangerous areas. However, this essay will be focusing on another similarity of the short stories, the role in which luck played in the them. Luck has helped the characters in numerous parts of the stories to overcome even the most impossible scenarios. It was one of the key factors contributing to the plot, as luck decides if the main character will survive... or not. Most importantly, it created a surprising conclusion. The role of luck played a critical and important part in the stories because it saved the main characters lives creating a surprising conclusion in the stories. In the first story, The Bamboo Trap , the main character in the story is John Mather. The story took place in the Chuquipata Mountain where Mather had to collect dangerous Cuabandan Spiders. Mather had been warned that the particular mountain he was going to venture up was unquestionably treacherous. Wanting better chances of ensnaring the spiders they thought were nearing extinction, Mather moved further and further away from his camp to place his traps. He was trying to cross a bridge of bamboo, when suddenly, the bridge gave way, and he plunged down a hole that lead to a pear shaped cave. He came up with an idea to dig his way out. When night fell, hundreds of hairy legged spiders came to the cave to seek shelter and camouflage from its predators. They were the spiders that Mather was supposed to be collecting. Unfortunately, the spiders started biting and attacking their unexpected guest, Mather. He had to fight them off for the whole night. • 14. Comparison Between Impressionism And Post Impressionism Art is the best way humans can express their thoughts and realities. Many people do not see art in a linear fashion; whether a painting is from the 1800s or the 1900s many people would consider them the same. Art has gone through many changes since its conception many millennia ago. Due to this, one cannot scrutinize all of the art movements in the same fashion. Two of art s largest movements, Impressionism and Post Impressionism, are commonly lumped together in the same category. Although these movements are very similar in name, they have distinct characteristics that set them apart. However, they also have some aspects in common. The Impressionist art movement took place between the years 1874 and 1886. At the time this movement was birthed, the majority of high end art being made was made in a super realistic and classical way. The Salon, a place in France where art was displayed, only accepted this kind of art. The Salon was ran by the French government and all art placed in it had to be approved. The Impressionists were always refused due to them not painting about significant figures in the government or of the church. Impressionists painted about ordinary people doing ordinary things alongside landscapes and taboo topics. The Salon did not only refuse them because of this but also because Impressionists did not paint in an ultra realistic manner. This is the first ambiguous clue in the story that points out Campus s beliefs and gives readers a point of observation. The Guest is a short story about an Algerian born Frenchman with the occupation of teaching. He lives in a desolate that is isolated and rarely has visitors. Balducci then gave Daru the news that the government has also ordered Daru that he must then deliver the Arab to jail. Lord of the Flies was a relatively short and fast paced book, so my mom hit that right on the nose, but the recommendation was a little bit advanced for my reading level. Unfortunately geothermal energy isn t used nearly as much as many of the other types of renewable energy, in fact, there are only 12 operating geothermal power plants in the US, a relatively small number compared to the 557 coal power plants that currently supply the United States with its second largest source of power. Yet while the fields of solar and wind power seem to be growing exponentially, geothermal energy remains relatively small. Sadly the problem with geothermal energy isn t one that can be easily changed. The reason geothermal power plants are so few and and far between is the overly specific circumstances that are needed to harness the underground heat; geothermal power plants require hydrological sites with naturally high temperatures of around 150 to 370, in the form of wells, hot water is then pumped out of these wells is then pumped out of these wells, into one of three different systems, dry steam, dry steam, or binary cycle. When magma escapes to the Earth s surface and is extruded, they are known as lavas. Grotzinger and Jordan (2010) suggests that magma mainly comes from the asthenosphere the upper part of the mantle. Subduction zone magmas are formed by convergent plate boundaries between oceanic continental plates or oceanic oceanic plates (at least one tectonic plate has to be oceanic) (see Fig.1). According to Grotzinger and Jordan (2010), when the oceanic lithosphere gets subducted, there is fluid induced melting occurring to the mantle wedge. Therefore, this generates magmas of varying composition. From Prichard et al. s findings, mid ocean ridge magmas are usually basaltic in composition whereas subduction zone magmas are andesitic and more silicic. Subduction zone magma compositions also depend on the materials being subducted. Pericles Leadership Style Described by Thucydides as the foremost Athenian and most able in speech or action [at the time of the Peloponnesian War,] Pericles ushered in what was widely known as the Golden Age of Athens (31). He often exercised great prudence in his decision making and was widely admired by the Greek people. The man stressed justice, the worth of the Empire, and cleaving one s personal interests to those of the city. Through his eloquent speeches and definitive actions he captured both the hearts of the Athenians and territory as a premier military commander. The people readily accepted his authority, and became accustomed to it. This would only lead to problems down the road, however, as other rulers took up the mantle of Athens. They would only be but a gilded echo of Pericles, unable and unwilling to follow his path. It has happened before. In 2008, a documentary called Purebred Dogs Exposed was televised in Great Britain. It was critical of the Kennel Club, the British equivalent of the AKC, and showed purebreds with a range of health problems. The documentary showed that the 2003 champion of the country s most prestigious dog show, Crufts, was a Pekingese who had to be photographed sitting on ice blocks because his flat face made his breed so prone to overheating. The film also showed pictures of certain breeds in the early 20th century compared to pictures of the same breeds today, showing how selective breeding had changed the dogs in the past century. According to the documentary, vererinary fees for purebred dogs were costing British owners 10 million pounds a week. In response to the documentary, the Kennel Club commissioned an independent study led by Cambridge University professor emeritus Sir Patrick Bateson. • 46. Crew Resource Management Prior to 1959, faulty equipment was the probable cause for many airplane accidents, but with the advent of jet engines, faulty equipment became less of a threat, while human factors gained prominence in accident investigations (Kanki, Helmreich Anca, 2010). From 1959 to 1989, pilot error was the cause of 70% of accident resulting in the loss of hull worldwide (Kanki, Helmreich Anca, 2010). Due to these alarming statistics, in 1979 the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) implemented a workshop called Resource Management on the Flightdeck that led to what is now known as Crew Resource Management (CRM) or also known as Cockpit Resource Management (Rodrigues Cusick, 2012). CRM is a concept that has been attributed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The National Transportation and Safety Board (NTSB) investigation concluded that the probable cause of the crash was pilot error, and the pilot s failure to properly monitor the flight instruments to detect their decent before impacting the ground (Elder Elder, 1977). Another significant crash was United Airlines Flight 173 on December 28, 1978, nearly six years to the day since the Flight 401 incident. Another coincidence is that Flight 173 also experienced a landing gear issue like Flight 401. The captain of the United Airlines flight attempted to troubleshoot the landing gear issue over the course of an hour (Noland). During this time, the flight engineer made feeble attempts at making the captain, who has been described as arrogant, aware of the low fuel state of the aircraft (Noland). The result was the United Airlines flight crashed in a wooded area killing 10 people after running out of fuel. The NTSB concluded that whether the flight engineer was unaware of the graveness of the situation or just didn t assert himself enough to let the captain know about the fuel quantity problem, something needed to be done in regards of flight crew s interaction and management of their resources. The NTSB made a recommendation which led to implementing a new program set up by a NASA workshop called Crew ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Elmore Chapel. The panel included Dr. McLetchie, Dr. Stephen Ray, and Representative Bakari Sellers. The purpose of the event was to speak on truth and reconciliation, race, and the justice system within today s culture. The conference began with a discussion centered on the #BlackLivesMatter movement, the Charleston shooting and Ferguson. The panelists shared their thoughts on these issues while the audience concentrated. The Charleston shooting hit close to home for Representative Sellers; he knew someone who was shot and killed in the shooting. He was the only one to make it to the hospital alive before he died , Sellers reflected. Dr. Ray brought an unfortunate element to my attention: People talk about the tragedies for a few weeks and then it s like nothing ever happened . This statement registered with me because I realized that as these issues were being brought up, I had forgotten some of the core details of the situations. It makes one wonder about why ...
