Advantages And Disadvantages Of Diazonuim Salts
Introduction:
Diazonuim salts are unsaturated compounds which have a trible bond.
There was a scientist his name was Griess, this scientist gave Diazo name to diazonuim salts as he
thought that two hydrogen atoms in the benzene ring will be replaced by two atoms of nitrogen.
Diazonuim salts divided into two types of salts:
Aromatic diazonuim salts and alephatic ( non aromatic) diazonuim salts.
Non aromatic salts are less important than aromatic.
Under normal conditions, diazonuim salt is highly unstable.
Dizonuim salts have some properites such as shock sensitive, decompose violenthly when heating and
they can conduct electricity, for this reason they are considered one of the electrolyte compounds.
There are a lot of types of diazonuim ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is a type of reaction in which Nitrogen atom doesn t realese from the salt. This type of reaction
is called reduction reaction, it done by using SNCl2 or Na2So3 to give hydrasin derivatives.
There is another type of diazonuim salts reactions which lead to the formation of azo dyes compounds,
this reaction is done by adding some compounds to the salt such as, aromatic amines, compounds
which have keton group in its structure like aceton, compounds which have OH group like phenol or
naphthalen and hetrocyclic compounds in two steps:
Step 1:
Formation of diazonuim salt.
Step 2:
React diazonuim salt with coupling component which may be phenol or any type of aromatic amines
so, a stable azo dye will be formed.
Azo dyes compounds have different structures as most of them contain only one azo group, but they
may contain two or three or more azo groups.
Another methods of reactions

. sandmeyer reaction.
. gattermann reaction.
. baltz schiemann reaction.

Lung Cancers And Its Effects
INTRODUCTION
What are lung cancers? Lung cancers are the abnormal cells which grow in uncontrolled manner in
one or both lungs. They do not function as normal lung cells and do not develop into healthy lung
tissue. The abnormal cells can grow, form tumours and interfere with the normal functions of the lung
(Lungcancer.org, 2015). Lung cancers can be divided into two major types, namely non small cell
lung cancers (NSCLC) and small cell lung cancers (SCLC). NSCLC can be further classified into
three main subtypes, namely adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and large cell carcinoma
(Longo Harrison, 2012). Lung cancers can be diagnosed by chest X ray, computerised tomography
(CT) scan, positron emission tomography computerised tomography (PET CT) scan, bronchoscopy
and biopsy (Nhs.uk, 2015). Unfortunately, lung cancers are often diagnosed at the later stages. This is
due to the unrecognisable symptoms and warning signs at the earlier stages. NSCLC are often
diagnosed at stage IV which accounts for 30 40% of cases whereas 60% of SCLC is diagnosed at
stage IV. Lung cancer usually originates from the cells lining the bronchi, bronchioles and alveoli.
Carcinogens especially tobacco smoke will alter the gene expression of the normal human lung cells,
resulting in cell mutation. The proto oncogenes will be converted to mutated form, oncogenes.
Mutation leads to the decreased expression of the tumour suppressor genes. This results in
uncontrolled cell proliferation, cell

African americans in world war I Essay
Anthony J. Mitchell Summer 2002
U.S. Since 1865 History 2063
AFRICAIN AMERICAINS IN WORLD WAR I
Before WORLD WAR I, military service represented a source of black pride. Black educators,
clergymen, and the press frequently referred to Negro heroes of America s past wars. After the Civil
War, the U.S, Army maintained four regular Negro regiments the 9th and 10th Calvary and the 24th
and 25th Infantry. These units included veterans of the civil war and the frontier Indian fighting
regiments. Retired sergeants often became respected, conservative leaders in their communities. This
history set a foundation for black support and involvement in America s future wars.

To prepare the U.S. troops efficiently during World War I troops were sent to the British and French
for training. But, when the 92nd Negro division arrived in 1917 and 1918 the British refused to train
them. This was yet another obstacle challenging race relations in Europe. General Pershing, protested
to the British General Haig, These Negroes are American Citizens. I cannot and will not discriminate
against them. But to avoid making and issue of the case, the War Department scheduled the 92nd for

Liberalism and Social Contract Essay
Liberalism and Social Contract
Charles Larmore speaks of moral complexity as it exists in a pluralistic sense. The idea of pluralism
says that each and every person has their own separate conception of the good as it appears to them. It
is I virtually impossible to have to separate entities come up with the same exact concept of the Good
Life and what it holds for them. As there are these conflicts ideals that exist in each of us it is possible
for our conception of the good to come under attack from competing concepts that are held by others
around us. Some one who is Muslim may have a conception of the good that wants to eradicate me
and my notion of the good. There needs to exist some centralized ... Show more content on

Larmore brings this to point in the way of his modus vivendi which is useful to have a justice that
exists in the state to protect our own conception of the good respectively.
Hume wrote of justice as an artificial virtue that we create to make things in life work. Larmore thinks
that there is a problem with this idea of an artificial virtue, he argues that what distinguishes an
artificial virtue from a natural one (such as courage) cannot be that it fails to be instinctive, as Hume
wrote, (Larmore, 70 71) this is evident in that every virtue must be learned in some way either by
teaching of the intellectual or the habituation of the moral virtues that Hume considers natural. It is
important to see what Hume thought of as the circumstances of justice that are explained in two
groups, the external and the internal that cause conflict based on wants and needs and individual
concepts of the good respectively. This conflict creates a need for the virtue of justice to take care of
the problems that arise. This encompasses the principle of liberal justice that is necessary for anyone
to keep their conception of the good life. This modus vivendi or way of living is a means of
accommodation between the political right and the individual concept of the good. It is a sort of
pragmatic principle the helps us all get along in this pluralistic setting of any society. This comes of

this video there are seven people to watch while the events of the video happen. I did not this that this

interesting because there was way too much going on in this video for me to get immersed. There are
seven people all reacting in a panicked state at the same time and it is very overwhelming. It also is
tiring because of the angle of the camera. We are all stuck in the middle of this table of giants as they

The Synoptic Gospels Of Matthew, Mark, And Luke
Many scholars and philosophers find themselves troubled when trying to make sense of the Synoptic
Gospels found in The Holy Bible. These include The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. When
looking at them side by side readers will see that they have many differences and similarities. This has
resulted in what is called The Synoptic Problem; that is, how do we account for these similarities and
differences? Scholars have come up with an applicable solution called the four source solution Theory.
This theory proposes that The Gospel of Mark was the first Gospel written and among the sources that
Matthew and Luke used but, there are stories in Matthew and Luke that are not parallel to anything in
Matthew. Where did these stories come from? Scholars call this the Q Source, a probable oral or
written account that the authors of Matthew and Luke may have used in their writing of their Gospels.
Ehrman describes The Q Source as, The source used by both Matthew and Luke for the stories they
share, principally stories not found in Mark. (pg.61) Also, there are stories that are found in Luke that
did not originate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some of these include, Jesus speaking on his way to his crucifixion and speaking to a group of
women. (Luke 23:28) Another example in the Gospel of Luke, is that Jesus is not as silent as the other
Gospels portray him to be during his time of crucifixion. While being crucified he asks God to forgive
those that are doing him wrong and speaks to a criminal being crucified beside him. He tells the man,
Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise. (Luke 23:42) One last example is the sun
eclipse and torn curtain of the temple, directly after the death of Jesus. (Luke 23:45) These are just
some of the sole differences that show up only in Luke. This would back up the statement that besides
the Q source and Mark, Luke would have had other source(s) as

Sleeping Schedule Analysis
I do not have a regular weekly schedule. I do very little planning out when I will work on assignments
and when I will study ahead of time. Other than my class and work schedule, my commitment to
studying, going to the gym, sleeping, socializing at specified times throughout the day varies on a
weekly basis based on my work load and what is happening on and around campus. However, every
Friday I take time to figure out all the assignments I have due and activities that I have planned the
coming week. This list is prioritized and I can use it to determine when I am going to have to do the
most work. This gives me the ability to work ahead if I desire or know that I can put off doing an

Most of the time allotted to doing homework is during my five hour morning gap between classes.
Though I am allocating a great deal of time to my school work, it is a good deal less than the
recommended class to study hours ratio. It is recommended that students dedicate two hours of work
outside of class for every hour in class. Because I am physically in a class twenty four and a half hours
a week, I should be spending forty nine hours outside of class studying or doing homework. In order
to do this I would, taking into account the amount of time spent doing necessary things such as
sleeping and eating, need to limit myself to about three hours of free time a day. While this may
initially sound like a good deal of time. This is based of a week s schedule where I did not go to the
gym or workout at all. This will decrease the amount of free time that I have even further. This
schedule also did not take into account time spent getting ready for class and whenever I left my room,
this severely decreases the amount of free time I would have available. While it is entirely feasible to
increase the number of hours I commit to my studies, I am unwilling to drastically diminish the
amount of time I spend with my friends, especially in the evenings when I am tired from having class
and working all day. However, I should still work to increase the amount of time I

The Metropolitan Opera Monologue
After I watched Carmen, what impressed me the most is Ms.Garanča s performance and the music of
this opera. I think the music wonderfully shapes principal s personality and Ms.Garanča s performance
made Carmen more vivid. She performed this opera in The Metropolitan Opera in 2010. In the first
act, when Ms.Garanča sang L amour est un oiseau rebelle , I can tell Carmen s charm and uninhibited
personality. She knows that she is very attractive to men, so she is very confident about herself and
tries to draw all the men s attention. The melody of this aria is very stretchy and flowing and it
contains a strong temptation, gorgeous and elegant. What s more, In the keywords of L amour , the
chorus companion made it particularly outstanding, I think it carries a beauty and naturalness. Added
Ms.Garanča s performance, it fully shows Carmen s bold, passionate and full of mysterious charm of
the character. Also, in the same act, when Carmen tempted Don Jose, she sang another famous aria
Près des remparts de Séville , the melody is full of passion and it also contains a bit of wild, it further
shows carmen s characterization. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

A Comparison Between Freud and Erikson Essay
Developmental psychology is an area of research dedicated to the understanding of child
development. Throughout history many theories have been used to attempt to explain the complex
process. Two of those theorists, Freud and Erikson, were instrumental in creating a foundation for
child psychology to build on. From a Freudian perspective, human development is centered on
psychosexual theory. Psychosexual theory indicates that maturation of the sex drives underlies stages
of personality development. Alternatively, Erikson is considered a neo freudian scholar who
developed psychosocial theory. In Erikson models there are eight major conflicts that occur during the
course of an individual s life.
Developmental psychology is an area of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It allows an individual to regulate standards, embrace moral values and decides whether or not the ego
has implemented problem solving strategies that are acceptable (Shaffer et al, 2010; Wedding Corsini,
2014). Ultimately, Freud believed that sex was the most important instinct influencing personality and
any mental disturbance revolved around sexual conflicts that were suppressed from childhood.
Furthermore, Freud believed that parents permitting too much or too little gratification of sexual needs
led to a fixation on that activity throughout their lifetime (Shaffer et al., 2010). This fixation can
eventually lead to a regression in behaviour. Regression can determine whether or not the behaviour is
psychopathological in nature depending on intensity and changes within their personality (Kerig
Wenar, 2006; Lothane, 2006).
Freud created five stages of psychosexual development that includes the oral, anal, phallic, latency,
and genital phases. The oral stage begins at birth and lasts until approximately age one. Throughout
the first phase, Freud believed that, the sex instinct was centered on the mouth. Often infants derive
pleasure from oral activities such as chewing, sucking, biting, or feeding activities. Moreover, Freud
thought that if a child was weaned off the mother s breast too early their adult personality
characteristics might crave close contact and become an overly dependent spouse

Recycling of Polyethylene Terephthalate Essay
Recycling of Polyethylene Terephthalate
In the United States, over 245 million tons of municipal solid waste (MSW) was produced by
consumers in 2005. This is approximately 4.5 pounds of trash per person per day.[3] This same year,
79 million tons of waste were recycled, a dramatic increase from 15 million tons in 1980.[3] Of the
total MSW in 2003,11.1% (26.7 million tons) was plastic. Although only 3.9% of plastics disposed in
2003 were recycled, PET was recovered at a rate of 25%.[4]
There are six classifications of plastics, each assigned a number. Numbers 1 and 2 are commonly
recycled, 4 is recycled less, and the others are generally not recycled. The first is polyethylene

The plastic Grace and I chose was polyethylene terephthalate. It is used for water and soft drink
bottles, peanut butter jars, and other impact resistant bottles as well as textiles.[1] PET is a semi
crystalline, thermoplastic polyester.[6] Its mechanical properties include excellent tensile and impact
strength, chemical resistance, clarity, processability, color ability and thermal stability. PET is
mechanically processed by extrusion, injection molding, and blow molding.[1] The post consumer
PET recycling industry was initiated by the fact that it is non degradable in nature, since its molecules
are too large to decompose.[1] There are four methods of processing PET: primary, mechanical,
chemical, and energy recovery.[6] Primary recycling is the most popular, inexpensive method as it
deals only with uncontaminated, clean waste PET. This ensures a quality product. Mechanical
recycling of PET consists of contamination removal and extrusion into the appropriate shape for the
desired use after recycling. In contamination removal, the PET bottles are sorted, ground into flakes,
and washed. PVC must be separated from bottles in order to keep the product as pure as possible.[1]
After grinding, flakes are washed with water and detergent or a solvent. Flakes must be dried
thoroughly in order to obtain a quality product. Finally, flakes are

My Importance Of Academic Interests In High School
My academic interests throughout the years have really changed and evolved as I have matured as a
student. Since I started school, I ve always had an appreciation for academics and the various subjects
that I learned. I would attribute this to the fact that I was able to work with and learn from students,
teachers or friends that were passionate about a particular subject, helping me understand a subject s
value even if it did not particularly interest me. By having this exposure during my formative years
where I learned to think independently, I came to cherish my own education in addition to realizing
the importance and value education can hold for others. As I grew older and began to think for myself,
I developed an affinity towards math and science. I would attribute this to the fact that my mind is
more analytical than creative, leading me to find interest in areas of study that progress logically and
introduce concepts that can be built on top of each other. Once I got to high school, the science classes
that I took started to utilize concepts from mathematics and vice versa. I was particularly interested
when concepts and ideas stemming from a variety of fields were put together in order to accomplish
something practical. I began to seek out articles and videos online to further develop my knowledge of
technology and scientific phenomena. At the end of my junior year, I was motivated to seek out and
apply for various research opportunities that involved working

Synthesis Essay On Cyberbullying
Cyberbullying Cyberbullying is a willful and repeated harm inflicted through the use of computers,
cell phones, and other electronic devices (Source 3). Things such as posting embarrassing pictures of
someone online, or pretending to be another person online. 20% of youth ages 11 18 have been a
victim of cyberbullying, (Source 3). Cyberbullying can have the same effects on a person just like
normal bullying. Low self esteem, depression, eating disorders, and even suicide can be provoked by
cyberbullying. So, if we want teens to stop harassing each other online, we should prosecute
individuals for their hateful statements and actions on the internet. Prosecuting these individuals is

Evaluating Student Teaching Practices
As the Coordinator of Student Teaching and School Partnerships, I have the responsibility to organize,
oversee, and continuously re evaluate the student teaching process. This includes providing guidance
to the division s Supervising Teachers, collecting and analyzing data based on the student teaching
evaluations and surveys, and acting as a liaison between the local schools and IUPUC.
One of the keys to a successful education program is to ensure that the division is employing
individuals whose teaching philosophies line up with that of the program. It is imperative that I seek
out Supervising Teachers who are knowledgeable in and utilizing evidence based best practices. I
entrust that the administrators will choose outstanding teachers to act as student teacher mentors. More
times than not, the philosophies of the chosen teachers do line up with those of the division and the
pair works well together. However, there are the rare instances that ... Show more content on

Each semester, Supervising Teachers and University Coaches complete mid term and final evaluations
based on observations they have made of the Student Teacher. Once the data have been collected, I
analyze it to determine if our Student Teachers are able to put into practice the knowledge and
pedagogy they have learned in the classroom. The data is essential to the division s program
development, student retention, recruitment, and national accreditation. It provides the division with
information about program strengths and weaknesses and in turn the reports are used to determine
how to better prepare the students. The data will also be used during the division s national
accreditation review to demonstrate that our students are able to put into practice the knowledge that
they obtained in the classroom. The mid term and final evaluations also provide pivotal information
that can then be reported back to the partnership

What Is Intrinsic And Extrinsic Motivation
The only way to do great work is to love what you do (as cited in Bloxham, 2011). This is the famous
quote from Steve Jobs who is a CEO of apple company. It indicates that most people will choose their
occupation based on their interested, which is not depended on how much money they will earn. There
are two types of motivations, which are intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation can be
defined as internal factors that serve their satisfaction and enjoyment. Extrinsic motivation is the
opposite of intrinsic drives, which is that people act in a certain way because of external incentives.
The most common form of external motivation is financial rewards. In today s society, many people
commonly use money as an extrinsic motivation in order to contribute better behavior. However, non
financial rewards should be used to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Motivation is one factor which energies, influences,or controls human behaviors ( Intrinsic and
Extrinsic motivation, n.d.). Intrinsic drives can be identified into four terms regardless self
management methods, which are giving the meaning of objects, finding the effective way to achieve
the purposes, showing all the abilities, and ensuring improvement to attain goals (Thomas, 2009).
There is a clear evidence that intrinsic motivations reflect human life during young infants, which is
when the babies make loud noises, attempt to grab, or bite any things ( Intrinsic motivation, 2007).
This study also stated that intrinsic motivation still influence people s action in adulthood while
watching, reading, painting, or working. To give example, students who have intrinsic motivation,
which is their willingness and eager to learn new lessons that they are interesting perform much better
in class and deeply understand materials. Extrinsic motivation is that people will pay attention more
on the outcome or what advantages they will obtain, which is rewards, prizes, or other monetary

Tuesdays With Morrie Albom
Tuesdays with Morrie is a true story, written by Mitch Albom, which puts the reader in Albom s
perspective throughout his life. Throughout story Albom writes about is memorable experiences with
his college professor Morrie Schwartz. Years after Mitch Albom finishes his education at Brandeis
University he begins to experience a tough time in pursuing success in his career. One night Mitch
was watching his television and he recognizes his former professor s voice on a talk show called
Nightline. Immediately after watching the talk show Albom contacted his college professor and setup
a time where they could meet. By meeting with his former professor, Mitch Albom is able to get a grip
and gain important knowledge that will forever change ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One thing that I learned from this story is that you cannot always believe what you see you have to
believe what you feel. Morrie stated, And if you are ever going to have other people trust you, you
must feel that you can trust them too even when you re in the dark. Even when you re falling. I also
learned that you should always look at life in a unique way. During the story Morrie is always looking
at life through a different perspective such as when he realized that he is becoming incapable of doing
everyday things. ...I have to look at life uniquely... I can sit here with my dwindling days and look at
what I think is important in life. I have both the time and the reason to do that. Also through this story
I learned that the most important thing in life is to learn how to give out love, and to let it come in.
Sometimes we think that we do not deserve to be loved and sometimes we think that love is
meaningless. In the story Morrie suggests Let it come in... Love is the only rational act.
By meeting with his former professor, Mitch Albom is able to take a look in on his life and learn
things that took Morrie years to learn. Overall I thought that Tuesdays with Morrie was a great and
interesting novel. Out of all the lessons taught to Mitch by Morrie, my favorite would have to be that
you should look at life in a unique

The Legal Consciousness Of Chinese Sex Workers
The Legal Consciousness of Chinese Sex Workers in Relation to Abuse and Unjust Treatment
Professor Margaret L. Boittin s research mainly focuses on areas such as Chinese law, human
trafficking and prostitution. In the article Abuse and the Legal Consciousness of Se Workers in China,
she outlines the lifestyle of a prostitute and all the major obstacles that follow. Boittin helps the reader
interpret the relationship of Chinese sex workers to their society and laws. The article puts importance
towards the legal consciousness of Chinese sex workers and through which events their relationship
with the law is shaped. The author uses methods such as legal consciousness throughout the article to
finally reveal how marginalized individuals understand their relationship with the law. The author
argues that the experiences that Chinese sex workers undergo, shape their dimension of legal
consciousness. Legal consciousness, which will be explained further into the essay, is the relationship
an individual has with the law. More specifically, where they think they stand in relation to the law.
The three subject potions of legal consciousness are with the law, before the law, and against the law.
Chinese sex workers subject themselves to the position of against the law . They recognize the unfair
treatment and the concept of privilege and power. There is also an element of resistance from their
part. For example, the author says that, a marginalized person who is a lawbreaker or

My Letter For A Vice President
Vice President Are you sure you don t want to aim for something lower?, my mom asked. No Mom, I
am running for vice president. I was pacing back and forth really deciding what I want to run for. Do I
want to run for this or that? What are the pros and what are the cons. Would anyone make fun of me? I
was thinking in my head frantically. It was the end of my third grade year and I was deciding what
part of office I was going to run for. Vice President? Secretary? Or maybe even Treasurer! I then make
my speech, gather the materials for my sign/poster, practice my speech in front of my parents until I
got it down, and lastly, the most nervous part of trying to run for office, talking to the many faces of
900 kids. During the time ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I could hear the murmurs throughout the halls of the schools. Oh Alex s looks Good! Debra s is not
making me convinced! Reece s is sort of plain, but it gets the job done. One hard part about running
for vice president is that there were so many other people also running for the same spot. One in
particular was my best friend Alyson Jones. She and I have been friends since the first month of
school in first grade! When I skipped a grade she was my first friend that I made, and we intend to
keep our friendship long lasting and keep in touch, up to today. It was the day. I was extremely
nervous about talking to the 900 people at my school. What I did to prepare for the speech was
practice it when I was at snack, pretend to go to the bathroom during class and practice it there, or do
it in front of my friends or teachers. The lunch that day was the quickest lunch I had ever had. It felt
like it was 10 minutes. Then the most exciting but dreaded part of the day came, the moment I had
been waiting for. All of the students who were running for any office, would go through the back door
on to the stage, as we all saw the kids flooding in through the doors. My stomach felt as if butterflies
keep becoming butterflies as the seats filled up until the last one was filled. To start off the candidates
for Treasurer and Secretary made their speeches quickly because there very little people running for

The organization that will be used for this course is the U.S. Army s supply support activity. Supply
support activities are designed to provide supported units with various types of supplies. Supported
units are ultimately considered the customer of the supply support activity. Supply support activities
provide a service to their customers very similar to the method a local department or grocery store
supports their customers. Supplies can be anything from food to major end items such as a high
mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicle(HMMWV). For the army to operate efficiently, it depends on
the various types of supplies to function on a daily basis. Soldiers cannot fight or train if they are not

Supply support activities are broken down into 4 sections. The stock control section is responsible for
the communication between the various STAMIS systems and they interact with the supported
customers more than the other 3 sections. Stock control is very similar to a person working at the
register of a department store. The receiving section is responsible for processing and receiving the
supplies once it is delivered to the warehouse. The storage section is responsible for storing the
received supplies on the warehouse shelves, they are also responsible for pulling the items from the
shelves when customers request items that are stored on the shelves within the warehouse. The issuing
section is responsible for issuing and ensuring that supported customers receive their supplies in a
timely manner. The stock control and the issue section have the most interaction with the supply
support activity s customers. Along with the four sections, there is a position called the accountable
officer and a noncommissioned officer in charge(NCOIC). The accountable officer is overall
responsible for accounting for all supplies that is received in the warehouse until the customers sign
for their specific items. The NCOIC works side by side with the accountable officer and is responsible
to ensure that the supply support activity functions as one cohesive team. Generally there are

The Theme Of Nature In Mary Shelley s Frankenstein
Mary Shelley s Frankenstein was a groundbreaking novel into the horrors that humans can achieve. It
helped defined a genre, and gave a new meaning to the gothic novel line of books. Shelley came up
with the idea of Frankenstein during a bet with her fellow poet friends. Whomever could write the best
scary story won their competition, and this was how Frankenstein was born. Shelley included many
themes in her creation of the story Frankenstein such as Family, Imagination, Ambition, Education,
and Nature.
Mary Shelley imbued all these themes into her story to create a connection from the characters to her
readers, for us to help understand her characters deeply. One feels a sense of connection with the
monster and Victor in this story. Shelley ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The monster is almost a child, in amazement at the wonder of nature. The irony behind his love of
nature is clear because the monster himself is a violation of nature. Victor reversed nature when he
brought back something from the dead. The creature may be living, breathing, and sentient but he is an
abomination of nature. Shelley used her grief of losing her baby, to create the monster in a way that
makes him seem as if he is an infant and he has been rejected as an infant by society and made out to
be an evil monster (Britton, Abstract). The creature himself was just born a man, he did not experience
infanthood, he was just created. He was created and immediately hated, and he could not understand
why because he had the mind of an infant. He was innocent until he was treated horribly. This is an
example of human nature. Human nature is hating something that is so different than you, just for
being different. And human nature is shown in all its ugliness in this story, for wherever the monster
goes, there are people to chase him away for being scary. This almost parallels the Rime of the
Ancient Mariner in a sense. In the Ancient Mariner, the Mariner harms nature and nature harms him
right back. The theme is that you must respect nature otherwise you will be killed by the one thing you
defiled. And this is true of Victor and his monster. He defiled nature, and the life of what he created,
and nature came back to kill his family and in the end, it killed Victor

How Does Truman Capote Use Conflict In Miriam
In Miriam, by Truman Capote, amidst loneliness, Mrs. Miller becomes face to face with a young girl
whose personality is the complete opposite to her own, a girl who is not afraid to ask for what she
wants, while Mrs. Miller is recluse and avoids asking too much from other people. Gradually, as
Miriam pushes Mrs. Miller over the edge, she begins to lose the polite, withdrawn part of herself who
gives in to passivity. Realizing her faults, Mrs. Miller avoids any of her past characteristics and any
qualities that remind her of Miriam. Through characterization, conflict, and tone, Truman Capote uses
Miriam to reveal to the reader that self preservation and detachment can tear a person apart, just as
Mrs. Miller herself became a hollow shell of a person. With characterization and conflict, it is clear
that Miriam was able to enslave Mrs. Miller because her isolated life made her vulnerable. Miriam is
intrusive and demanding, while Mrs. Miller keeps to herself and as a result the other people in the
house never seemed to notice her . At first, Mrs. Miller met Miriam s impertinence ... Show more

  • 2. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Diazonuim Salts Introduction: Diazonuim salts are unsaturated compounds which have a trible bond. There was a scientist his name was Griess, this scientist gave Diazo name to diazonuim salts as he thought that two hydrogen atoms in the benzene ring will be replaced by two atoms of nitrogen. Diazonuim salts divided into two types of salts: Aromatic diazonuim salts and alephatic ( non aromatic) diazonuim salts. Non aromatic salts are less important than aromatic. Under normal conditions, diazonuim salt is highly unstable. Dizonuim salts have some properites such as shock sensitive, decompose violenthly when heating and they can conduct electricity, for this reason they are considered one of the electrolyte compounds. This type of reaction is called reduction reaction, it done by using SNCl2 or Na2So3 to give hydrasin derivatives. There is another type of diazonuim salts reactions which lead to the formation of azo dyes compounds, this reaction is done by adding some compounds to the salt such as, aromatic amines, compounds which have keton group in its structure like aceton, compounds which have OH group like phenol or naphthalen and hetrocyclic compounds in two steps: Step 1: Formation of diazonuim salt. Step 2: React diazonuim salt with coupling component which may be phenol or any type of aromatic amines so, a stable azo dye will be formed. Azo dyes compounds have different structures as most of them contain only one azo group, but they may contain two or three or more azo groups. Another methods of reactions . • 4. Lung Cancers And Its Effects INTRODUCTION What are lung cancers? Lung cancers are the abnormal cells which grow in uncontrolled manner in one or both lungs. They do not function as normal lung cells and do not develop into healthy lung tissue. The abnormal cells can grow, form tumours and interfere with the normal functions of the lung (Lungcancer.org, 2015). Lung cancers can be divided into two major types, namely non small cell lung cancers (NSCLC) and small cell lung cancers (SCLC). NSCLC can be further classified into three main subtypes, namely adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and large cell carcinoma (Longo Harrison, 2012). Lung cancers can be diagnosed by chest X ray, computerised tomography (CT) scan, positron emission tomography computerised tomography (PET CT) scan, bronchoscopy and biopsy (Nhs.uk, 2015). Unfortunately, lung cancers are often diagnosed at the later stages. This is due to the unrecognisable symptoms and warning signs at the earlier stages. NSCLC are often diagnosed at stage IV which accounts for 30 40% of cases whereas 60% of SCLC is diagnosed at stage IV. Lung cancer usually originates from the cells lining the bronchi, bronchioles and alveoli. Carcinogens especially tobacco smoke will alter the gene expression of the normal human lung cells, resulting in cell mutation. The proto oncogenes will be converted to mutated form, oncogenes. Mutation leads to the decreased expression of the tumour suppressor genes. This results in uncontrolled cell proliferation, cell ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Mitchell Summer 2002 U.S. Since 1865 History 2063 AFRICAIN AMERICAINS IN WORLD WAR I Before WORLD WAR I, military service represented a source of black pride. Black educators, clergymen, and the press frequently referred to Negro heroes of America s past wars. After the Civil War, the U.S, Army maintained four regular Negro regiments the 9th and 10th Calvary and the 24th and 25th Infantry. These units included veterans of the civil war and the frontier Indian fighting regiments. Retired sergeants often became respected, conservative leaders in their communities. But, when the 92nd Negro division arrived in 1917 and 1918 the British refused to train them. This was yet another obstacle challenging race relations in Europe. General Pershing, protested to the British General Haig, These Negroes are American Citizens. I cannot and will not discriminate against them. • 6. Liberalism and Social Contract Essay Liberalism and Social Contract Charles Larmore speaks of moral complexity as it exists in a pluralistic sense. The idea of pluralism says that each and every person has their own separate conception of the good as it appears to them. It is I virtually impossible to have to separate entities come up with the same exact concept of the Good Life and what it holds for them. As there are these conflicts ideals that exist in each of us it is possible for our conception of the good to come under attack from competing concepts that are held by others around us. Some one who is Muslim may have a conception of the good that wants to eradicate me and my notion of the good. There needs to exist some centralized ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Larmore brings this to point in the way of his modus vivendi which is useful to have a justice that exists in the state to protect our own conception of the good respectively. Hume wrote of justice as an artificial virtue that we create to make things in life work. Larmore thinks that there is a problem with this idea of an artificial virtue, he argues that what distinguishes an artificial virtue from a natural one (such as courage) cannot be that it fails to be instinctive, as Hume wrote, (Larmore, 70 71) this is evident in that every virtue must be learned in some way either by teaching of the intellectual or the habituation of the moral virtues that Hume considers natural. It is important to see what Hume thought of as the circumstances of justice that are explained in two groups, the external and the internal that cause conflict based on wants and needs and individual concepts of the good respectively. This conflict creates a need for the virtue of justice to take care of the problems that arise. This encompasses the principle of liberal justice that is necessary for anyone to keep their conception of the good life. This modus vivendi or way of living is a means of accommodation between the political right and the individual concept of the good. It is a sort of pragmatic principle the helps us all get along in this pluralistic setting of any society. This comes of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The video was not that interesting because there was way too much going on in this video for me to get immersed. • 8. The Synoptic Gospels Of Matthew, Mark, And Luke Many scholars and philosophers find themselves troubled when trying to make sense of the Synoptic Gospels found in The Holy Bible. These include The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. When looking at them side by side readers will see that they have many differences and similarities. This has resulted in what is called The Synoptic Problem; that is, how do we account for these similarities and differences? Scholars have come up with an applicable solution called the four source solution Theory. This theory proposes that The Gospel of Mark was the first Gospel written and among the sources that Matthew and Luke used but, there are stories in Matthew and Luke that are not parallel to anything in Matthew. Where did these stories come from? Scholars call this the Q Source, a probable oral or written account that the authors of Matthew and Luke may have used in their writing of their Gospels. Ehrman describes The Q Source as, The source used by both Matthew and Luke for the stories they share, principally stories not found in Mark. (Luke 23:28) Another example in the Gospel of Luke, is that Jesus is not as silent as the other Gospels portray him to be during his time of crucifixion. While being crucified he asks God to forgive those that are doing him wrong and speaks to a criminal being crucified beside him. He tells the man, Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise. (Luke 23:42) One last example is the sun eclipse and torn curtain of the temple, directly after the death of Jesus. Other than my class and work schedule, my commitment to studying, going to the gym, sleeping, socializing at specified times throughout the day varies on a weekly basis based on my work load and what is happening on and around campus. However, every Friday I take time to figure out all the assignments I have due and activities that I have planned the coming week. Most of the time allotted to doing homework is during my five hour morning gap between classes. Though I am allocating a great deal of time to my school work, it is a good deal less than the recommended class to study hours ratio. It is recommended that students dedicate two hours of work outside of class for every hour in class. Because I am physically in a class twenty four and a half hours a week, I should be spending forty nine hours outside of class studying or doing homework. In order to do this I would, taking into account the amount of time spent doing necessary things such as sleeping and eating, need to limit myself to about three hours of free time a day. While this may initially sound like a good deal of time. This is based of a week s schedule where I did not go to the gym or workout at all. This will decrease the amount of free time that I have even further. This schedule also did not take into account time spent getting ready for class and whenever I left my room, this severely decreases the amount of free time I would have available. While it is entirely feasible to increase the number of hours I commit to my studies, I am unwilling to drastically diminish the amount of time I spend with my friends, especially in the evenings when I am tired from having class and working all day. • 11. The Metropolitan Opera Monologue After I watched Carmen, what impressed me the most is Ms.Garanča s performance and the music of this opera. I think the music wonderfully shapes principal s personality and Ms.Garanča s performance made Carmen more vivid. She performed this opera in The Metropolitan Opera in 2010. In the first act, when Ms.Garanča sang L amour est un oiseau rebelle , I can tell Carmen s charm and uninhibited personality. She knows that she is very attractive to men, so she is very confident about herself and tries to draw all the men s attention. The melody of this aria is very stretchy and flowing and it contains a strong temptation, gorgeous and elegant. What s more, In the keywords of L amour , the chorus companion made it particularly outstanding, I think it carries a beauty and naturalness. Added Ms.Garanča s performance, it fully shows Carmen s bold, passionate and full of mysterious charm of the character. Throughout history many theories have been used to attempt to explain the complex process. Two of those theorists, Freud and Erikson, were instrumental in creating a foundation for child psychology to build on. From a Freudian perspective, human development is centered on psychosexual theory. Psychosexual theory indicates that maturation of the sex drives underlies stages of personality development. Alternatively, Erikson is considered a neo freudian scholar who developed psychosocial theory. In Erikson models there are eight major conflicts that occur during the course of an individual s life. It allows an individual to regulate standards, embrace moral values and decides whether or not the ego has implemented problem solving strategies that are acceptable (Shaffer et al, 2010; Wedding Corsini, 2014). Ultimately, Freud believed that sex was the most important instinct influencing personality and any mental disturbance revolved around sexual conflicts that were suppressed from childhood. Furthermore, Freud believed that parents permitting too much or too little gratification of sexual needs led to a fixation on that activity throughout their lifetime (Shaffer et al., 2010). This fixation can eventually lead to a regression in behaviour. Regression can determine whether or not the behaviour is psychopathological in nature depending on intensity and changes within their personality (Kerig Wenar, 2006; Lothane, 2006). Freud created five stages of psychosexual development that includes the oral, anal, phallic, latency, and genital phases. The oral stage begins at birth and lasts until approximately age one. Throughout the first phase, Freud believed that, the sex instinct was centered on the mouth. Often infants derive pleasure from oral activities such as chewing, sucking, biting, or feeding activities. Moreover, Freud thought that if a child was weaned off the mother s breast too early their adult personality characteristics might crave close contact and become an overly dependent spouse ... Although only 3.9% of plastics disposed in 2003 were recycled, PET was recovered at a rate of 25%.[4] There are six classifications of plastics, each assigned a number. PET is mechanically processed by extrusion, injection molding, and blow molding.[1] The post consumer PET recycling industry was initiated by the fact that it is non degradable in nature, since its molecules are too large to decompose.[1] There are four methods of processing PET: primary, mechanical, chemical, and energy recovery.[6] Primary recycling is the most popular, inexpensive method as it deals only with uncontaminated, clean waste PET. This ensures a quality product. Mechanical recycling of PET consists of contamination removal and extrusion into the appropriate shape for the desired use after recycling. In contamination removal, the PET bottles are sorted, ground into flakes, and washed. PVC must be separated from bottles in order to keep the product as pure as possible.[1] After grinding, flakes are washed with water and detergent or a solvent. • 16. My Importance Of Academic Interests In High School My academic interests throughout the years have really changed and evolved as I have matured as a student. Since I started school, I ve always had an appreciation for academics and the various subjects that I learned. I would attribute this to the fact that I was able to work with and learn from students, teachers or friends that were passionate about a particular subject, helping me understand a subject s value even if it did not particularly interest me. By having this exposure during my formative years where I learned to think independently, I came to cherish my own education in addition to realizing the importance and value education can hold for others. As I grew older and began to think for myself, I developed an affinity towards math and science. I would attribute this to the fact that my mind is more analytical than creative, leading me to find interest in areas of study that progress logically and introduce concepts that can be built on top of each other. Once I got to high school, the science classes that I took started to utilize concepts from mathematics and vice versa. I was particularly interested when concepts and ideas stemming from a variety of fields were put together in order to accomplish something practical. The irony behind his love of nature is clear because the monster himself is a violation of nature. Victor reversed nature when he brought back something from the dead. The creature may be living, breathing, and sentient but he is an abomination of nature. Shelley used her grief of losing her baby, to create the monster in a way that makes him seem as if he is an infant and he has been rejected as an infant by society and made out to be an evil monster (Britton, Abstract). The creature himself was just born a man, he did not experience infanthood, he was just created. He was created and immediately hated, and he could not understand why because he had the mind of an infant. He was innocent until he was treated horribly. This is an example of human nature. Human nature is hating something that is so different than you, just for being different.
