Canada s Laws Should Be Unbiased And Non Discriminatory
Canada s laws are presented to be unbiased and non discriminatory. The law promises every individual
the right to life, freedom of expression, well being and uses sparkly language to prove that no one is
above the law despite sexual orientation (Canadian Human Rights Act, 1985). However, this is not the
case in regards to homosexual individuals. This paper will discuss how homosexual suffer from
discriminatory laws in their everyday lives. The discriminatory laws further lead to myths, ideologies
and labels that are imposed on homosexuals (Fedders, pgs.787 789, 2006). Also, in this piece of
writing two cases will be introduced to further prove how the law can be discriminatory even though it
appears to be sparkly with persuasive language ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, these incidents took place in schoolyards, classrooms and hallways when teachers or staff
was not present (Black, pgs. 2 5, 2013). Since, Azmi was called names stigmatization occurred
because there was labelling that were present. Stigma comes from labelling, which further leads to
individuals as social outcasts. Labels are negative assumptions based on gender, gender preferences
and stereotypes that are not close to scientific evidence. Also, labelling causes dehumanization of a
person (Barris, 2007). However, no human attribute is inferior but these attributes are socially
constructed. For example, homosexual men were reflected in the Church as deviant, mentally ill and
seducers of boys and these labels were later displayed in many laws (Keller, pgs. 191 192, 1994).
Finally, the term faggot originated from the time when homosexuals were often burned first to make
coals hot for the burning of witches (Keller, pgs. 191 192, 1994). As for Jubran s case, he did not
identify himself as a homosexual individual but he was the subject of ongoing homophobic
harassment. This led Azmi to take legal action in regards to the harassment he was experiencing
during his school years (Black, pgs. 48,52, 2013). Mr. Jubran took his case to the court and alleged
that the school Board had violated the British Columbia Human Right code by discriminating him on
the grounds of sexual orientation (Black,

European Colonialism And European Racial Frameworks In The...
Language ideologies are rooted in the national interests of specific social or cultural groups. For
instance, nineteenth century European colonialism established a new philology to language
standardization, through codifying indigenous languages according to European literacy principles
(Kroskrity 2010). Colonialism contributed to an evolution of racial frameworks in American political
identity, such as the construction of whiteness, which stigmatized other race based groups in the West
(Di Leonardo 2004). Moreover, the institutionalization of standard English functioned as a tool of
oppression against minority racial groups living in the presence of American nationalists. The
imperialist culture of Europe and America has resulted in the imposition of new language ideologies,
which consequently has led to the discrimination against minority language speakers worldwide.
During the nineteenth century, as European interests expanded into Africa, linguists attempted to
interpret the Nguni languages spoken by indigenous populations in the south. Through their
encounters with African Khoisan clicks, European observers degraded the speech patterns to animal
sounds, rather than phonological units (Irvine Gal 2000). Furthermore, linguists perceived clicks to be
exotic and unintelligible when compared with European language practices. Therefore, colonialists
sought to reconstruct click consonants into a written form that would systematically align with
European literacy

Essay on Sigmund Freud
Sigmund Freud Sigmund Freud, physiologist, medical doctor, psychologist and father of
psychoanalysis, is recognized as one of the most influential thinkers of the twentieth century. As the
originator of psychoanalysis, Freud distinguished himself as an intellectual giant. He invented new
techniques and for understanding human behavior, his efforts resulted in one of the most
comprehensive theories of psychology developed. Freud was born May 6, 1856 in Freiberg in
Moravia (what is now Czechoslovakia) to his Jewish parents, his father Jacob who was a wool
merchant and his mother Amalia Nathansohn. His father Jacob was 20 years older than, Amalia, Freud

Freud and Martha gave birth to six children, the youngest of whom, Anna, was herself to become a
distinguished psychoanalyst and founder of child psychoanalysis. Freud set up a private practice to
treat psychological disorders and gave him much material which he based some of his theories. At
first, Freud s theories shocked some of his colleagues. Some of Freud s most creative work came at a
time when he was experiencing severe emotional problems of his own. When he was forty he had
numerous psychosomatic disorders, such as exaggerated fears of dying and other phobias. Freud
continued to study and attracted support from few people such as Jung and Adler who were
themselves to make major contributions to the school of psychoanalysis. Because of his controversial
work, when Nazi storm troopers invaded the city in 1938, Freud was arrested in his home and held
captive until his unsold books were burned publicly. Upon his release a few weeks later, he moved to
London, where he lived out the last months of his life. In September 1939, Freud died of cancer at the
age of 83. Some of his accomplishments include the Interpretation of Dreams, written in 1900, which
was to lay the foundation for his research over the next forty years. It suggested that brain functions
can be divided into three categories: the Id, the Ego, and the Superego. The Id represents basics wants

History of the PC Essay
History of the PC
Nothing epitomizes modern life better than the computer. For better or worse, computers have
infiltrated every aspect of our society. Today computers do much more than simply compute:
supermarket scanners calculate our grocery bill while keeping store inventory; computerized
telephone switching centers play traffic cop to millions of calls and keep lines of communication
untangled; and automatic teller machines (ATM) let us conduct banking transactions from virtually
anywhere in the world. But where did all this technology come from and where is it heading? To fully
understand the impact computers have on our lives and promises they hold for the future, it is
important to understand the personal computer. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Wozniak worked for Hewlett Packard, while Jobs worked for Atari Company. Wozniak had been
working in computer design for a while when, in 1976, he designed what would become the Apple 1.
This was Wozniak s first contribution to the personal computer. The Apple 1 was built in printed
circuit board form when Jobs insisted it could be sold. In April of 1976 at the Homebrew Computer
Club In Palo Alto, the Apple 1 made its debut, but few people took it very seriously. The Apple 1 was
based on the MOStek 6502 chip, whereas most other kit computers were built from the Intel 8080

included the circuit board. A tape interface was sold separately, but you had to build your own case for
the Apple 1. The circuit board itself initially cost $667. It wasn t until 1977, when the Apple II debuted
that Apple begun to take off. The Apple II was based on Wozniak s Apple I design, but had several
additions. The first improvement was a plastic case; this made the Apple II the first PC to come in any
kind of casing. Secondly was the ability to display color graphics. Also it included a larger ROM,
more expandable RAM and had integer basic hard coded on the ROM for easier programming. With
all this came two game paddles and a demo cassette for $1,298. The following year Apple released a

Summary Of Rabindranath Tagore And Sri Aurobindo
Rabindranath Tagore and Sri Aurobindo are the first Indian dramatists in English worth considering.
Tagore wrote primarily in Bengali but almost all his Bengali plays are now available to us in English
renderings. His important plays are Chitra, The Post Office, Sacrifice, Red Oleanders, Chandalika,
Mukta Dhara and Natir Puja. The plays are firmly rooted in Indian ethos and present an unusually
original dramatic vision. As Jain puts it: In these plays, there is an attempt to capture and present basic
contradictions of life in a bigger perspective and with contemporary relevance; there is also a bold and
creative experiment to synthesize some of the techniques and dramatic usages of the Sanskrit theatre
and the traditional modes like the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Miracles play a very important part of these plays and unless the reader comes to them with a willing
suspension of disbelief, the plays will not make sense to them. More than being a writer of spiritual
aspect of human life, the playwright is known for his plays depicting social realism. The country in the
1930s, as has already been talked about, was surging with the spirit of nationalism and constant
attempts were made to edify the ills of the society. As Iyengar says of the Five Plays, [It] contains
some of his characteristic work as a playwright revealing his social consciousness, flair for realism,
and the bite in his prose writing (233). His play, The Window, gives a pathetic account of the
condition of the slum life of workers in a factory and ends with the workers protesting against the
owners. The Parrot too deals with the life of the poor, while in The Coffin, the theme is that of schism
between the imaginary world and the world of harsh reality. The importance of edifying in the real
world instead of delving into the imaginary world is reiterated through the play. The Sentry s Lantern
is a symbolic display of the arrival of better times; a revolution, which will benefit the poor and the
downtrodden and which will usher in an era of communism. The Evening Lamp, too talks about a
revolution, which will usher in a glorious era. In his works, it is clearly

Anti-Semitism In Germany
Throughout pre war Germany, many Germans began to view themselves a racially superior to others,
especially Jews. Much of the anti Semitism found in Germany stemmed from medieval times, when
many Christians had disdain for the Jews because they were responsible for the crucifixion of Jesus.
Even though traditional Christian anti Semitism had long existed, a new form was growing. This new
form was largely based on Social Darwinism, and saw Jews as the weak, and the Aryan race as
superior. This modern anti Semitism was only exacerbated by the formation of racial societies, one of
the most notable being the Pan German League. This uber patriotic organization wanted to create
lebensraum for the German people, and forecast that a messiah would come

Child Pornography
Child Pornography is the abuse of innocent children that has been put on display and oftentimes sold
for a profit. It is used largely by pedophiles to help lure other children into illicit relationship
situations that no child should ever have to endure. Because the Internet provides global access, the
number of sex offenders using this avenue has dramatically increased, allowing them greater access to
innocent victims.
Child pornography is illegal in the United States regardless of whether it is being sold, viewed, saved
on a computer or copied. Other countries have varying laws regarding child pornography where it is
illegal to produce it but not to have it stored on a computer that you own. Although laws may be in
place to protect against child pornography across the global community, those laws are not always
enforced. Some countries have no laws at all against child pornography, making those countries a
haven for distribution.

Description Of The Age Of Viability
Samuel Joseph
Worksheet #2
1. Describe the age of viability .
By 21 to 22 weeks after fertilization, the lungs gain some room to breathe air. This is called the age of
viability because survival outside the womb becomes possible for some fetuses.
2. Describe some of the rapid growth that takes place during the first two years of life.
Growth is speedy during the first two years of life. The child s mass, form, senses, and organs undergo
change. As each physical change occurs, the child gains new abilities. Physical development during
the first year of the child s life, mainly involves the infant coordinating motor skills. The infant builds
physical strength and motor coordination by repeating several motor actions.
3. When was the last time that you saw an infant? Describe what the baby was doing.
The last time I seen an infant was when I was at my uncle house before I left for school. Although it
was quiet and not making any noise the baby was very observant and was aware when I came in the
room. He had his pacifier and I picked him up to play with him briefly before I left.
4. Briefly describe the most frequent activity that an infant does. Now...take your own sleep quiz and
see if you are sleep deprived.
The most frequent activity an infant does is cry and babble. Crying is almost an automatic thing when
it comes to infants, you really have to be able to understand the reason in which they are crying for
and act on it.

Neighbors By J Cole Analysis
The song Neighbors by J cole is a song about how he feels people in the world today view the black
community and how they are treated by authority and civilians. One of the lines that he raps is Travon
kind of fate, this line obviously referring to the death of Trayvon Martin; the young black boy
viciously murdered by a white man. Another line that hits home with a lot of his fans is the line, cops
bustin down the door with army guns no evidence of the harm we done, this line referring to the
treatment of blacks throughout the country by police officers. I feel that this song really speaks out
about the current situation we are dealing with in this country with lingering racism and inequality.

Why We Should Be More Open Minded
What if I told you someone took $20 from cash register at Wal Mart how would you feel/think? Would
you look down on them? Would you be mad that they just took the money while you go to work and
earn your money? Would you feel sorry for them? Now what if I told you that person owns the store
and was going to give the money to a family who was homeless? Would your opinion change about
that person? When people are closed minded, they jump to conclusions. They only believe that there is
only one answer or solutions. More people should be more opened minded because they are willing to
receive new or different ideas, information, and beliefs. I am going to talk about why it is a problem
being closed minded, how to be more open minded, and why you should be more open minded. Most
of us are brought up with a set of beliefs and values and, throughout our lives, tend to surround
ourselves with people who share the same values and beliefs. Therefore, it can be difficult when we re
faced with ideas that challenge our own and, though we may wish to be open minded, we may
struggle with the act of it from time to time.(Positively present) The problem with being closed
minded is they use hostility, prejudice, indifference, and inattention to keep new or different ideas
from gaining a foothold. Basically they don t try to let new ideas or beliefs cross their minds. Also
people who are closed minded don t want to learn or change their opinion on certain beliefs. They like
to think they

The Anti Heroes Of Truman Capote s Cold Blood Are Perry...
There are many novels wherein the main character in an anti hero. Anti heroes are the twisted versions
of wholesome protagonists; protagonists have pure ideals and motives, while an anti hero s end
motives usually justify the morally grey means that he or she achieved them by. The readers of such
novels usually root for the seemingly villainous protagonist, this anti hero . The anti heros in Truman
Capote s In Cold Blood are Perry Smith and Dick Hickock. These two men are reported to be cold
blooded killers in this nonfiction novel, and yet many readers root for these anti heroes, thanks to
Capote s retelling of events. Truman Capote attempts to humanizes these killers by sharing their pasts
with the reader, which trigger sympathy or hatred, depending on how Capote portrays them
In order to humanize the killers, Capote gives background stories on their lives, which trigger
sympathy in Perry s case. Perry first reads a letter from his father to the Kansas State Parole Board,
written the first time Perry was held in Lansing, for larceny, theft, and jailbreak. Perry s father writes
about how Perry s mother fell to drinking and split the family, and how Perry had to live moving from
city to city, hunting and trapping. Perry s father Tex John Smith writes How well I know that Perry is
goodhearted if you treat him rite. Treat him mean and you got a buzz saw to fight... He knows life is to
short to sweet to spend behind bars ever again (Capote 130). This letter humanizes

Rhetorical Analysis Of General Macarthur s Speech Duty,...
Soldiers should live Duty, Honor, Country, but what does that entail? The speech given in 1962 to the
young cadets at Westpoint was an influential piece still referred to today. In General MacArthur s
address Duty, Honor, Country Address at West Point, I will identify the rhetorical devices, persuasive
appeals, perspective, and tone used, as well as the impact those devices have on the meaning of this
speech. First, in this speech, there are no rhetorical questions given. Although, General MacArthur s
speech contains parallelism in ideas. For example, he includes you stand as the Nation s war
guardians, as its lifeguards from the raging tides of international conflict, as its gladiators in the arena
of battle, he shows that the cadets have many risks they sacrifice for their country. All of the people he
compares are protecting someone. Using parallelism in ideas makes his speech impactful by being
able to find a common theme throughout and a sense to revisit while in the gloomy battlefields of war.
The parallelism in structure used in his address is We are reaching out for a new and boundless
frontier. We speak in strange terms: of harnessing the cosmic energy; of making winds and tides work
for us; of creating unheard synthetic materials to supplement or even replace our old standard basics;
of purifying sea water for our drink; of mining ocean floors for new fields of wealth and food; of

Sex Tests And Gender Policies Essay
Dominant groups in society often set up normative ideas about bodies, genders and sexualities in order
to preserve the societal hierarchy that greatly benefits them. White, cisgender, heterosexual males are
often at the top of this hierarchy and are the active perpetrators of their imposed rigid standards.
Categories are created by these dominant groups to exercise their control and those who do not fit or
refuse to categorize themselves are punished, either metaphorically or literally. In the sports realm,
these norms are ubiquitous. However, in this paper, I argue that sports can both uphold and challenge
these normative ideas about bodies, genders, and sexualities through normalized practices it
normalizes that are considered to be different from the outside world. Sex tests and gender policies in
sports competitions uphold the idea that there is a biological difference in genders and rigidly
implement the gender binary. On the other hand, the practice of contact sports and the use of locker
rooms as a voyeuristic experience challenge normative ideas about bodies, genders and sexualities.
These practices are standard in the sphere of sports a Sex tests carried out in sports competitions and
the Olympics preserve the socially constructed gender binary and the policing of non confirming
gender identities and bodies. Historically, sex tests in the Olympics first manifested in Ancient Greece
where male athletes had to compete naked in order to demonstrate that they were

The Triangular Theory Of Love
F. Scott Fitzgerald stated, There are all kinds of love in this world but never the same love twice.
Although this is true, and there are as many types of love as people who experience them, there are
key elements needed in creating the true love each of us strives to possess. Psychologist Robert J.
Sternberg explains these vital components in his Triangular Theory of Love. According to his theory,
love is comprised of intimacy, commitment, and passion. Different types of love are the result of the
various combinations of these elements. His metaphorical theory helps to define and explain the theme
of various types of love presented in Thomas Hardy s Far From the Madding Crowd, Alexander
Dumas The Count of Monte Cristo, and Edith Wharton s The Age of Innocence.
In Thomas Hardy s Far From the Madding Crowd, he portrays three types of love that go along with
Sternberg s theory: infatuation, fatuous love, and consummate love. Sergeant Troy, one of the three
suitors of the novel, displayed infatuation for Bathsheba his feelings for her only involving the
passionate angle on the love triangle. This imitation of love is characterized by physical attraction and
sexual arousal. Upon their first encounter, Troy was intoxicated by Bathsheba s beauty and this would
become the primary motivation for him marrying her. He comments, I ve seen a good many women in
my time, but I ve never seen a woman so beautiful as you (pg. 144). Bathsheba, described as knowing

How Did The Meiji Restoration Change Japan
The Meiji Era, also known as the Meiji Restoration, lasted from 1868 1912. It was an era for great
change and this was also the period in which Japan became more modern. During this era, Japan
witnessed changes politically, socially, and economically as it worked to become more modern. Japan
expressed a desire to catch up to and adopt the policies of its Western counterparts. This gradual
Westernization led to Japan becoming a more modern state and eventually a global power on par with
Britain and the United States. However, these changes and the stable transition from the Tokugawa
Shogunate to the Meiji Restoration would not have been possible without Emperor Meiji and other
government leaders. Meiji Tenno, otherwise known as Mitsuhito (reined 1867 1912) transformed
Japan from a feudal state to the great modern nation it is today. Emperor Komei s second son, he was

Miss Emily Questions
In William Faulkner s A Rose for Emily, the elderly woman is mysterious, suspicious, and a murderer.
Throughout the story the narrator talks a little about Emily s back story but the narrator does go as far
as telling about her child hood growing up but instead talks about her life from the time she is a young
adult until she is an elder. We start to see that there are some unanswered questions throughout the
entire story, and even with the surprise ending it still leaves us with a lot of questions that need to be
answered. Since the narrator didn t give that much of a backstory regarding Miss Emily, we must
come up with theories and conclusions to answer our own questions. First, we see that Miss Emily is
mysterious even from the very beginning because the narrator talks about how her house used to be,
white, decorated with cupolas, and spires, and scrolled balconies . By the way the narrator describes
her house it seems that it used to be very beautiful and full of life, but now the, garages and cotton
gins had encroached and obliterated . The narrator mentions in the story is that Miss Emily had a
manservant; we start to ask ourselves the question that if she has a servant to wait on her hand and
foot than how could she let her house get in such a bad shape like that when she could have asked her
servant to keep the house tidy since she is too old to do it herself. Another thing that is mysterious is
that the narrator mentions that she hardly ever leaves her house

Goldenrod Lab Report
The relationship between the existence of gall on the goldenrod and the development on the plants by
using aspect measurement at the Riverwood Conservatory
Introduction
This study shows that the present of the gall on the stems of goldenrod has a taller height of stems
than the ones that without galls. The averaging about 4 feet (1.2m) in height, goldenrod is a perennial
with clusters of bright yellow flowers. It has been used for centuries in the treatment of kidney stones,
urinary tract infections, a variety of other medical condition. (1) Survival probability depends on gall
size; in small galls the larvae is vulnerable to parasitoid ovipositor, whereas larvae in large galls are
more frequently eaten by avian predators. (2) During the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
First of all, the existing of a gall would not impact on the development on the Goldenrod plants, such
as based on average stem height, which was the stem height is shorter than the ones are normal by the
factor of the presence of a gall. Secondly, the presence of a gall also would not impacted the diameter
of gall and in general that won t be an impact on the plants development. Moreover, based on the
result that have been collected, the Goldenrod stem was thinner than the normal ones also by a factor
of whether there was a gall or not on the plants. The presence of a gall did not significantly affect final
stem height but did slow the growth of ramets during the period of most rapid gall growth. (3)Major
errors that could occurred during this investigation was that groups were not able to give out a
confidence measurement as in a total that nine group might have performed this observation by using
their particular way, which means the data collection might be uncertain due to the groups perform the
experiment differently. On top of it, it is important that whether the performed group used a ground as
a reference point for recording the height of stem from the plant, which would lead to the failed of the
hypothesis and draw an incorrect result at the end of this observation. Suggestion that could avoid this
error occur is to give specific way

The Black Lace Fan My Mother Gave Me
Practice Commentary: The Black Lace Fan My Mother Gave Me Eavan Bolland s The Black Lace
Fan my Mother Gave me from her book, Outside History (1990) gives readers the first impression that
the poem is about the value of a fan that has been passed down to her. However, based on the title, the
term black lace raises a sense of mystery and darkness as black lace is not completely see through,
there are spots that need to be filled in. To illustrate the value of the black lace fan, the speaker, who is
unknown, narrates on how the mother received it and also used very vivid descriptions on its
significance. To add to the sense of mystery suggested by the title, the use of him and her instead of
actual names enhances this quality of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The shortness of the sentence, She stood up acts as a sudden pause in the story, as though this abrupt
action has frozen time. In the next few lines, Bolland uses a miserable tone to reflect on the mother s
mood. To emphasize this sense of misery, she uses the three rhyming words, emptying , killing and
lighting , which have the connotations of bitterness and depression. Bolland also uses pathetic fallacy
to reflect on the emotions of the mother, stating that the distance smelled of rain and lightning. The
distance that is mentioned here may symbolize how distant she and her lover is now. At this point, the
readers would feel a sense of pathos towards this character. Hence, the third stanza is a transitioning
phase between her presence of the current situation and her stream of consciousness. As mentioned
before, the mother loses touch with the real world and is engaged in the beauty and delicacy of the
black lace fan. Bolland s use of visual imagery is impressive, as the readers get to have a clear picture
of the texture and details of the fan. The lines that read These are wild roses, appliqued on silk by
hand, Darkly picked, stitched boldly, quickly. make the description of the fan sound much more
interesting as Bolland has used

Parables In The Gospel Of Luke
The Gospel of Luke is the most descriptive account for Jesus Christ s life. Through this Gospel it
gives its readers a foretaste into the birth and early life of Jesus and his disciples. Luke described who
Jesus was as a person and what Jesus had accomplished through his life, death, and resurrection. This
Gospel has various themes. Some themes are the parables, the role of the Holy Spirit, and the joy and
rejoicing. The Gospel of Luke has some very significant parables that are still taught today. One
parable is The Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25 37). In this parable a man was walking
down to Jericho when robbers attacked him. They left him there half dead and beaten up. A priest
happened to go down the same road and when he saw the man he didn t even stop he kept walking.
Also, a Levite saw him and walked past him on the other side. But when a Samaritan saw him he
stopped and had mercifulness for him. He helped him bandaged his wounds, and then he carried the
man onto his donkey and led him to an inn where he could take care of him. He told the innkeeper to
look after him and when he returns he will pay any of the extra expenses.
The lesson of this parable is that we may view anyone who needs our help as our ... Show more

Joy and rejoicing means when, gladness, is not happiness that depends on our circumstances and our
moods; which has to do with our emotions or position in life. This joy is something that is constant; it
is from within us because Jesus lives within us. Joy and rejoicing appears in Luke 15:3 7. This is
present in the Parable of the Lost Sheep. It explains that if one of the hundred sheep were missing he
would go and look for it and once he found the sheep he would joyfully put it on his shoulders and
heads home. He calls his neighbors to rejoice with him since he had found his lost sheep. He says
there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who

The Affects of Temperature on Amount of Oxygen, Mung Beans...
Title:
Amount of Oxygen, Mung Beans (Vigna Radiata) Consume during Cellular Respiration
Introduction:
Cellular respiration is a catabolic reaction that refers to the process of converting chemical energy of
organic molecules into a simplify form so it can be used immediately by organism. Glucose may be
oxidized completely if sufficient oxygen is available, by the following equation:
C6H12O6 + 36 ADP + 36Pi + 6O2(g) 6 H2O + 6 CO2(g) + 38 ATP + heat
All organisms, including plants and animals, oxidize glucose for energy. Often, this energy is used to
convert ADP and phosphate into ATP. The process of complete oxidation involves glycolysis, Krebs
cycle and electron transport chain. Besides ATP, pyruvate molecules, NADH and FADH2 will be ...

control, shifted away from zero, the differences were recorded and adjusted in the data table. For
accuracy purposes, the measure in the control tube, that had deviated from zero, was added and
deducted, from the data of the Mung bean seeds. The syringe was then adjusted so that KOH was
seated at zero, at all times (Daynk, 2012).
When the final readings were recorded, the stoppers were removed. The Mung beans seeds were
carefully removed as well and weighed on the scale. All data from the 5 minute interval at 40 minutes
total, were recorded. This included both treatments. The means of the data were taken down and
plotted into a line graph. The slope of the lines were calculated and presented in figure 1.
Results:
Figure 1 shows 2 linear lines of best fit, with line y = .56 being treated with 200 c. Where as, line y =

Two Main Types Of Therapeutic Cloning
Argumentative Writing Rough Draft There are two main types of cloning that are known about,
therapeutic cloning and reproductive cloning. Therapeutic cloning is when you take a small sample of
DNA and insert into an embryo to make the embryo to have healthy parts. The parts are accepted by
our body because they are from your DNA. Therapeutic cloning does not happen naturally in nature
and it is asexual. Reproductive cloning is another type of cloning and unlike therapeutic cloning is
sometimes occurs in nature. An example of natural reproductive cloning is meiosis and plants. This is
asexual as well since it is an exact replica of DNA from one sample. Cloning may have many benefits
but it has downsides. Cloning is a crude science that should not be researched upon because of its ...

Reproductive cloning is when you get an offspring asexually that has a copy of your DNA and has the
same features as you. Some may argue that a clone would not know it is a clone until it is told. This
logic according to others also are the same for people who segregate clones. Clones can not be
identified unless you are told they are a clone, however if a person looks identical to their parents and
has the same behavior patterns it is most likely a clone. It does not take a scientist to figure that out.
Even if clones were integrated into society and they are not segregated they could become criminals or
possibly have a genetic mutation. If regular humans can resort to crime so can a clone. Clones being
segregated is a large possibility however, if someone s DNA was cloned the clone belongs to that
person according to http://io9.gizmodo.com/. People like to take ownership. An example of this are

Boxer, Philanthropist And Social Activist Muhammad Ali
Boxer, philanthropist and social activist Muhammad Ali was born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. on
January 17, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky. Ali showed at an early age that he wasn t afraid of any bout
inside or outside of the ring. Growing up in the segregated South, he experienced racial prejudice and
discrimination firsthand, which likely contributed to his early passion for boxing. At the age of 12, Ali
discovered his talent for boxing through an odd twist of fate. His bike was stolen, and Ali told a police
officer, Joe Martin, that he wanted to beat up the thief. Well, you better learn how to fight before you
start challenging people, Martin reportedly told him at the time. In addition to being a police officer,
Martin also trained young boxers at a local gym. Ali started working with Martin to learn how to box,
and soon began his boxing career. In his first amateur bout in 1954, he won the fight by split decision.
Ali went on to win the 1956 Golden Gloves tournament for novices in the light heavyweight class.
Three years later, he won the National Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions, as well as the
Amateur Athletic Union s national title for the light heavyweight division. Olympic Gold In 1960, Ali
won a spot on the U.S. Olympic boxing team, and traveled to Rome, Italy, to compete. At 6 3 , Ali was
an imposing figure in the ring, but he also became known for his lightning speed and fancy footwork.

In George Orwell s Essay Such, Such Were The Joys
Throughout George Orwell s essay, Such, Such were the Joys, the poor class in society is represented
as incompetent and undeserving of joy and success. Instead they earn and deserve beatings physically
and mentally. The poor class is represented this way to show how money appears to buy success and
happiness through Orwell s implying the Joys and privileges that the elite class have. The essay begins
discussing Orwell as a young boy arriving at a school by the name of St. Cyprian s. Right at the
beginning of this essay and Orwell s school experience, he wets the bed making a small mistake that
likely all children have made before. The headmaster doesn t just swiftly forget about it, instead he

The underlying cause of this treatment is essentially because money pays for life s comforts. Above all
the poor class shouldn t have to be beaten or looked down upon even if they don t have the money to
pay for life necessities, like an education specifically in Orwell s case. Even though money and the
lack of it were the main themes in Orwell s essay joy is something else that is important to consider
especially because that s what Orwell called this essay. Orwell explained how everything was working
against him because he had no wealth. He never mentioned the greater joy that the elite class had and
he kept it surreptitious. This is because joy can reside among any social class. Orwell called this essay,
Such, Such Were the Joy s because... (FIX THIS!!!)
Since the beginning of time the poorer class has been represented and treated a certain way because of
the belief of the importance of money. This is due to the permanent belief that they haven t done
anything for society so society does not need to do anything for them except of course make their life
miserable. Even though Orwell represented the poor as undeserving of anything with no abilities to
accomplish anything he wrote this essay to show that with lots of hard work it can be possible and he
wanted to show the breaking of these barriers throughout his

The Functions Of Mass Media
1.Linkage
One of the functions of mass media is linkage. Mass media is able to join different elements of society
that are not directly connected. For example, mass advertising attempts to link the needs of buyers
with the products of sellers. Legislators may try to keep in touch with constituent s feelings by reading
their hometown papers. Voters learn about the doings of their elected officials through newspapers,
TV, radio and websites. Another type of linkage occurs when geographically separated groups that
share a common interest are linked by the media. The dating services such as Facebook, eBay online
auction site enable people who want to buy or sell items link up. There is however hate sites on the
internet that terrorist use to spread propaganda and recruit new members. For example, newspapers
generate opinion; develop feeling for whatever happenings are reported. Advertising through mass
media links together the needs of buyers with the products of sellers. It is also possible that media can
create new social and professional groups by linking together the people of same interest. This
function is also called public making ability of the mass media. For example, people interested in
geography, science, environment form a group and this phenomenon may account for the growth of
some movement. In this way, media become a bridge between different groups who may or not may
not direct connection.

The story is delivered from the point of view of the protagonist Koly, which helps the reader observe

One other character who experiences a conflict with themselves is Raji. Her parents passing resulted
in Raji s life being confined to his work, holding him back from receing a proper education. His
illiteracy affects his pride greatly, which is illustrated when he rejects Koly s offer to teach him to read
and write. He is eager to shed his label as illiterate, but he is restrained because of his honor. All in all,
these characters all experience conflicts within themselves that transform the novel.
The writer focuses on the doctrinal society of India while Koly s story proceeds, and often makes
commentaries on the foundationless social boundaries through character conflicts. As religious
socities go, it is natural for the society that surrounds the main characters can resort to ironically
unorthodox actions. These dogmas lead to the creation of many conflicts, especially in the novel. A
problem that emerges in the beginning of the story that acts in the role of the core of Koly s journey is
child marriage. A huge, seemingly unresolvable taboo in Indian culture, child marriage is a major
hinderance for the main character. Navigating

Background
On 12 September 2008, Sanlu Group, the biggest producer of milk powder in China, rocked the
country when it admitted that its infant formula had been contaminated with the toxic chemical
melamine. China s national inspection agency extended its investigation to other dairy manufacturers
across the nation. Shockingly, products of 21 other dairies, including some famous Chinese brands,
also tested positive for melamine. Due to consumption of melamine laced milk products, more than
56,000 infants and young children had become sick and four babies had died from kidney failure by
the end of September. The melamine scare also resulted in many countries recalling and banning

There were some shockingly basic steps ignored along the way. As of 3rd Aug 2008, for instance,
when the formula recall was in full swing, there was nothing on Sanlu s website to suggest anything
odd was going on. No announcement. No recall information. No advisory to customers. Not hotline.
No news since 14th Aug.
As well as the government officials in Shijiazhuang city had failed to report the contamination to
provincial and state authorities (until 9 September) in violation of rules on reporting major incidents
involving food safety. According to the People s Daily, Sanlu wrote a letter to Shijiazhuang city
government on 2 August 2008, asking for help to increase control and coordination of the media, to
create a good environment for the recall of the company s problem products....to avoid whipping up

Literature Review On Fascism
Literature Review
1. Walter laquer in his book Fascism discusses fascism and defines it clearly. In his book he described
what sociology is and how it worked during that time. It talks about its poetical and social views. It
gives information on Mussolini in an objective format and describes fascism s gain in popularity and
power. It mainly concentrates on what fascism is and how to define it. It talks about the good points of
it and the high ideals that it first had before it became a corrupt quest for power over the people it was
supposed to help. It also tells how it was supposed to make all workers equal and how it went wrong
by corrupt officials.
2. Eco Umberto in his article shows today s fascism or Ur Fascism in many ways. It offers many new
ideas about fascism and how it is tied to nationalism and selective populism. It offers deeper meaning
in explaining fascism other than simple contempt for others . This site shows that fascism is faceted so
that it has many different levels of oppression. It helps to understand why fascism is so object able. It

brainwashed by the elimination of all other political parties. Education was also changed to favor
fascism by censoring in schools and widespread propaganda. It also talks about how fascism was
easily accepted by the Germans. The Germans already had a high sense of nationality and morality.
Fascism took many of the basic beliefs that were held by the Germans and Italians and used them to

  • 2. Canada s Laws Should Be Unbiased And Non Discriminatory Canada s laws are presented to be unbiased and non discriminatory. The law promises every individual the right to life, freedom of expression, well being and uses sparkly language to prove that no one is above the law despite sexual orientation (Canadian Human Rights Act, 1985). However, this is not the case in regards to homosexual individuals. This paper will discuss how homosexual suffer from discriminatory laws in their everyday lives. The discriminatory laws further lead to myths, ideologies and labels that are imposed on homosexuals (Fedders, pgs.787 789, 2006). Also, in this piece of writing two cases will be introduced to further prove how the law can be discriminatory even though it appears to be sparkly with persuasive language ... Since, Azmi was called names stigmatization occurred because there was labelling that were present. Stigma comes from labelling, which further leads to individuals as social outcasts. Labels are negative assumptions based on gender, gender preferences and stereotypes that are not close to scientific evidence. Also, labelling causes dehumanization of a person (Barris, 2007). However, no human attribute is inferior but these attributes are socially constructed. For example, homosexual men were reflected in the Church as deviant, mentally ill and seducers of boys and these labels were later displayed in many laws (Keller, pgs. 191 192, 1994). Finally, the term faggot originated from the time when homosexuals were often burned first to make coals hot for the burning of witches (Keller, pgs. 191 192, 1994). As for Jubran s case, he did not identify himself as a homosexual individual but he was the subject of ongoing homophobic harassment. This led Azmi to take legal action in regards to the harassment he was experiencing during his school years (Black, pgs. 48,52, 2013). Mr. Jubran took his case to the court and alleged that the school Board had violated the British Columbia Human Right code by discriminating him on the grounds of sexual orientation (Black, ... • 3. European Colonialism And European Racial Frameworks In The... Language ideologies are rooted in the national interests of specific social or cultural groups. For instance, nineteenth century European colonialism established a new philology to language standardization, through codifying indigenous languages according to European literacy principles (Kroskrity 2010). Colonialism contributed to an evolution of racial frameworks in American political identity, such as the construction of whiteness, which stigmatized other race based groups in the West (Di Leonardo 2004). Moreover, the institutionalization of standard English functioned as a tool of oppression against minority racial groups living in the presence of American nationalists. The imperialist culture of Europe and America has resulted in the imposition of new language ideologies, which consequently has led to the discrimination against minority language speakers worldwide. During the nineteenth century, as European interests expanded into Africa, linguists attempted to interpret the Nguni languages spoken by indigenous populations in the south. Through their encounters with African Khoisan clicks, European observers degraded the speech patterns to animal sounds, rather than phonological units (Irvine Gal 2000). Furthermore, linguists perceived clicks to be exotic and unintelligible when compared with European language practices. Therefore, colonialists sought to reconstruct click consonants into a written form that would systematically align with European literacy ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Essay on Sigmund Freud Sigmund Freud Sigmund Freud, physiologist, medical doctor, psychologist and father of psychoanalysis, is recognized as one of the most influential thinkers of the twentieth century. As the originator of psychoanalysis, Freud distinguished himself as an intellectual giant. He invented new techniques and for understanding human behavior, his efforts resulted in one of the most comprehensive theories of psychology developed. Freud was born May 6, 1856 in Freiberg in Moravia (what is now Czechoslovakia) to his Jewish parents, his father Jacob who was a wool merchant and his mother Amalia Nathansohn. Freud and Martha gave birth to six children, the youngest of whom, Anna, was herself to become a distinguished psychoanalyst and founder of child psychoanalysis. Freud set up a private practice to treat psychological disorders and gave him much material which he based some of his theories. At first, Freud s theories shocked some of his colleagues. Some of Freud s most creative work came at a time when he was experiencing severe emotional problems of his own. When he was forty he had numerous psychosomatic disorders, such as exaggerated fears of dying and other phobias. Freud continued to study and attracted support from few people such as Jung and Adler who were themselves to make major contributions to the school of psychoanalysis. Because of his controversial work, when Nazi storm troopers invaded the city in 1938, Freud was arrested in his home and held captive until his unsold books were burned publicly. Upon his release a few weeks later, he moved to London, where he lived out the last months of his life. In September 1939, Freud died of cancer at the age of 83. Some of his accomplishments include the Interpretation of Dreams, written in 1900, which was to lay the foundation for his research over the next forty years. It suggested that brain functions can be divided into three categories: the Id, the Ego, and the Superego. The Id represents basics wants and instincts and could be shown ... Today computers do much more than simply compute: supermarket scanners calculate our grocery bill while keeping store inventory; computerized telephone switching centers play traffic cop to millions of calls and keep lines of communication untangled; and automatic teller machines (ATM) let us conduct banking transactions from virtually anywhere in the world. But where did all this technology come from and where is it heading? To fully understand the impact computers have on our lives and promises they hold for the future, it is important to understand the personal computer. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Wozniak worked for Hewlett Packard, while Jobs worked for Atari Company. Wozniak had been working in computer design for a while when, in 1976, he designed what would become the Apple 1. This was Wozniak s first contribution to the personal computer. The Apple 1 was built in printed circuit board form when Jobs insisted it could be sold. In April of 1976 at the Homebrew Computer Club In Palo Alto, the Apple 1 made its debut, but few people took it very seriously. The Apple 1 was based on the MOStek 6502 chip, whereas most other kit computers were built from the Intel 8080 (Apple 1). The Apple 1 was not very successful in 1976. It was sold through small retailers and only included the circuit board. A tape interface was sold separately, but you had to build your own case for the Apple 1. The circuit board itself initially cost $667. It wasn t until 1977, when the Apple II debuted that Apple begun to take off. The Apple II was based on Wozniak s Apple I design, but had several additions. The first improvement was a plastic case; this made the Apple II the first PC to come in any kind of casing. Secondly was the ability to display color graphics. Also it included a larger ROM, more expandable RAM and had integer basic hard coded on the ROM for easier programming. With all this came two game paddles and a demo cassette for $1,298. The following year Apple released a disk drive compatible with for the Apple II. It was at this time that orders for Apple ... • 6. Summary Of Rabindranath Tagore And Sri Aurobindo Rabindranath Tagore and Sri Aurobindo are the first Indian dramatists in English worth considering. Tagore wrote primarily in Bengali but almost all his Bengali plays are now available to us in English renderings. His important plays are Chitra, The Post Office, Sacrifice, Red Oleanders, Chandalika, Mukta Dhara and Natir Puja. The plays are firmly rooted in Indian ethos and present an unusually original dramatic vision. As Jain puts it: In these plays, there is an attempt to capture and present basic contradictions of life in a bigger perspective and with contemporary relevance; there is also a bold and creative experiment to synthesize some of the techniques and dramatic usages of the Sanskrit theatre and the traditional modes like the ... Miracles play a very important part of these plays and unless the reader comes to them with a willing suspension of disbelief, the plays will not make sense to them. More than being a writer of spiritual aspect of human life, the playwright is known for his plays depicting social realism. The country in the 1930s, as has already been talked about, was surging with the spirit of nationalism and constant attempts were made to edify the ills of the society. As Iyengar says of the Five Plays, [It] contains some of his characteristic work as a playwright revealing his social consciousness, flair for realism, and the bite in his prose writing (233). His play, The Window, gives a pathetic account of the condition of the slum life of workers in a factory and ends with the workers protesting against the owners. The Parrot too deals with the life of the poor, while in The Coffin, the theme is that of schism between the imaginary world and the world of harsh reality. The importance of edifying in the real world instead of delving into the imaginary world is reiterated through the play. The Sentry s Lantern is a symbolic display of the arrival of better times; a revolution, which will benefit the poor and the downtrodden and which will usher in an era of communism. The Evening Lamp, too talks about a revolution, which will usher in a glorious era. In his works, it is clearly ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Much of the anti Semitism found in Germany stemmed from medieval times, when many Christians had disdain for the Jews because they were responsible for the crucifixion of Jesus. Even though traditional Christian anti Semitism had long existed, a new form was growing. This new form was largely based on Social Darwinism, and saw Jews as the weak, and the Aryan race as superior. This modern anti Semitism was only exacerbated by the formation of racial societies, one of the most notable being the Pan German League. Would you be mad that they just took the money while you go to work and earn your money? Would you feel sorry for them? Now what if I told you that person owns the store and was going to give the money to a family who was homeless? Would your opinion change about that person? When people are closed minded, they jump to conclusions. They only believe that there is only one answer or solutions. More people should be more opened minded because they are willing to receive new or different ideas, information, and beliefs. I am going to talk about why it is a problem being closed minded, how to be more open minded, and why you should be more open minded. Most of us are brought up with a set of beliefs and values and, throughout our lives, tend to surround ourselves with people who share the same values and beliefs. Therefore, it can be difficult when we re faced with ideas that challenge our own and, though we may wish to be open minded, we may struggle with the act of it from time to time.(Positively present) The problem with being closed minded is they use hostility, prejudice, indifference, and inattention to keep new or different ideas from gaining a foothold. Anti heroes are the twisted versions of wholesome protagonists; protagonists have pure ideals and motives, while an anti hero s end motives usually justify the morally grey means that he or she achieved them by. The readers of such novels usually root for the seemingly villainous protagonist, this anti hero . The anti heros in Truman Capote s In Cold Blood are Perry Smith and Dick Hickock. These two men are reported to be cold blooded killers in this nonfiction novel, and yet many readers root for these anti heroes, thanks to Capote s retelling of events. Truman Capote attempts to humanizes these killers by sharing their pasts with the reader, which trigger sympathy or hatred, depending on how Capote portrays them In order to humanize the killers, Capote gives background stories on their lives, which trigger sympathy in Perry s case. In General MacArthur s address Duty, Honor, Country Address at West Point, I will identify the rhetorical devices, persuasive appeals, perspective, and tone used, as well as the impact those devices have on the meaning of this speech. First, in this speech, there are no rhetorical questions given. Although, General MacArthur s speech contains parallelism in ideas. For example, he includes you stand as the Nation s war guardians, as its lifeguards from the raging tides of international conflict, as its gladiators in the arena of battle, he shows that the cadets have many risks they sacrifice for their country. All of the people he compares are protecting someone. Using parallelism in ideas makes his speech impactful by being able to find a common theme throughout and a sense to revisit while in the gloomy battlefields of war. The parallelism in structure used in his address is We are reaching out for a new and boundless frontier. We speak in strange terms: of harnessing the cosmic energy; of making winds and tides work for us; of creating unheard synthetic materials to supplement or even replace our old standard basics; of purifying sea water for our drink; of mining ocean floors for new fields of wealth and food; of disease preventatives to expand life into the hundreds of years; of ... • 17. Sex Tests And Gender Policies Essay Dominant groups in society often set up normative ideas about bodies, genders and sexualities in order to preserve the societal hierarchy that greatly benefits them. White, cisgender, heterosexual males are often at the top of this hierarchy and are the active perpetrators of their imposed rigid standards. Categories are created by these dominant groups to exercise their control and those who do not fit or refuse to categorize themselves are punished, either metaphorically or literally. In the sports realm, these norms are ubiquitous. However, in this paper, I argue that sports can both uphold and challenge these normative ideas about bodies, genders, and sexualities through normalized practices it normalizes that are considered to be different from the outside world. Sex tests and gender policies in sports competitions uphold the idea that there is a biological difference in genders and rigidly implement the gender binary. On the other hand, the practice of contact sports and the use of locker rooms as a voyeuristic experience challenge normative ideas about bodies, genders and sexualities. These practices are standard in the sphere of sports a Sex tests carried out in sports competitions and the Olympics preserve the socially constructed gender binary and the policing of non confirming gender identities and bodies. • 18. The Triangular Theory Of Love F. Scott Fitzgerald stated, There are all kinds of love in this world but never the same love twice. Although this is true, and there are as many types of love as people who experience them, there are key elements needed in creating the true love each of us strives to possess. Psychologist Robert J. Sternberg explains these vital components in his Triangular Theory of Love. According to his theory, love is comprised of intimacy, commitment, and passion. Different types of love are the result of the various combinations of these elements. His metaphorical theory helps to define and explain the theme of various types of love presented in Thomas Hardy s Far From the Madding Crowd, Alexander Dumas The Count of Monte Cristo, and Edith Wharton s The Age of Innocence. In Thomas Hardy s Far From the Madding Crowd, he portrays three types of love that go along with Sternberg s theory: infatuation, fatuous love, and consummate love. Sergeant Troy, one of the three suitors of the novel, displayed infatuation for Bathsheba his feelings for her only involving the passionate angle on the love triangle. This imitation of love is characterized by physical attraction and sexual arousal. Upon their first encounter, Troy was intoxicated by Bathsheba s beauty and this would become the primary motivation for him marrying her. Throughout the story the narrator talks a little about Emily s back story but the narrator does go as far as telling about her child hood growing up but instead talks about her life from the time she is a young adult until she is an elder. We start to see that there are some unanswered questions throughout the entire story, and even with the surprise ending it still leaves us with a lot of questions that need to be answered. Since the narrator didn t give that much of a backstory regarding Miss Emily, we must come up with theories and conclusions to answer our own questions. First, we see that Miss Emily is mysterious even from the very beginning because the narrator talks about how her house used to be, white, decorated with cupolas, and spires, and scrolled balconies . By the way the narrator describes her house it seems that it used to be very beautiful and full of life, but now the, garages and cotton gins had encroached and obliterated . The narrator mentions in the story is that Miss Emily had a manservant; we start to ask ourselves the question that if she has a servant to wait on her hand and foot than how could she let her house get in such a bad shape like that when she could have asked her servant to keep the house tidy since she is too old to do it herself. Bolland also uses pathetic fallacy to reflect on the emotions of the mother, stating that the distance smelled of rain and lightning. Reproductive cloning is when you get an offspring asexually that has a copy of your DNA and has the same features as you. Some may argue that a clone would not know it is a clone until it is told. This logic according to others also are the same for people who segregate clones. Clones can not be identified unless you are told they are a clone, however if a person looks identical to their parents and has the same behavior patterns it is most likely a clone. It does not take a scientist to figure that out. Even if clones were integrated into society and they are not segregated they could become criminals or possibly have a genetic mutation. If regular humans can resort to crime so can a clone. Clones being segregated is a large possibility however, if someone s DNA was cloned the clone belongs to that person according to http://io9.gizmodo.com/. People like to take ownership. • 32. Boxer, Philanthropist And Social Activist Muhammad Ali Boxer, philanthropist and social activist Muhammad Ali was born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. on January 17, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky. Ali showed at an early age that he wasn t afraid of any bout inside or outside of the ring. Growing up in the segregated South, he experienced racial prejudice and discrimination firsthand, which likely contributed to his early passion for boxing. At the age of 12, Ali discovered his talent for boxing through an odd twist of fate. His bike was stolen, and Ali told a police officer, Joe Martin, that he wanted to beat up the thief. Well, you better learn how to fight before you start challenging people, Martin reportedly told him at the time. In addition to being a police officer, Martin also trained young boxers at a local gym. Ali started working with Martin to learn how to box, and soon began his boxing career. In his first amateur bout in 1954, he won the fight by split decision. Ali went on to win the 1956 Golden Gloves tournament for novices in the light heavyweight class. Three years later, he won the National Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions, as well as the Amateur Athletic Union s national title for the light heavyweight division. Olympic Gold In 1960, Ali won a spot on the U.S. Olympic boxing team, and traveled to Rome, Italy, to compete. The underlying cause of this treatment is essentially because money pays for life s comforts. Above all the poor class shouldn t have to be beaten or looked down upon even if they don t have the money to pay for life necessities, like an education specifically in Orwell s case. Even though money and the lack of it were the main themes in Orwell s essay joy is something else that is important to consider especially because that s what Orwell called this essay. Orwell explained how everything was working against him because he had no wealth. He never mentioned the greater joy that the elite class had and he kept it surreptitious. This is because joy can reside among any social class. Orwell called this essay, Such, Such Were the Joy s because... (FIX THIS!!!) Since the beginning of time the poorer class has been represented and treated a certain way because of the belief of the importance of money. This is due to the permanent belief that they haven t done anything for society so society does not need to do anything for them except of course make their life miserable. Even though Orwell represented the poor as undeserving of anything with no abilities to accomplish anything he wrote this essay to show that with lots of hard work it can be possible and he wanted to show the breaking of these barriers throughout his ...
