Essay about The Human Genome Project
Genetic engineering is, at best, a debatable branch of science. For some, it is the wave of the future: a
method for perfecting the human genome, discarding flaws from infants before they are born and
ensuring they live longer, healthier lives. For others, it is an abomination: a method of circumventing
what nature gave you, and wholly unnatural. Which one is right? (Bird). Naturally, genetics is the
scientific study of inherited variations in the DNA strand. This topic sparked curiosity among
numerous scientific individuals that they begun a research project on it titled the Human Genome
Project. To illustrate, the Human Genome Project worked out the sequence of the three billion
chemical letters of the human genome, and it produced ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Human genetics should be a considerable option in the future to benefit our world.
For example, gene therapy can be used to cure genetic diseases like leukemia. For instance, a young
man from Douglas, Arizona, a town boarding Mexico, underwent chemotherapy, but if he had gone
through gene therapy instead of the harmful chemotherapy radiation that could have been performed
many toils would have been prevented for the young man and his family. Gene therapy is an
experimental way of using inheritable factors to treat or prevent diseases it is also an experimental
technique that is used to substitute a gene that works right for a non working gene. In fact, in human
genetics, gene therapy is the use of genetic material as medicine involving the transfer of working or
therapeutic copy of a gene into specific cells of an individual to repair a copy of a faulty gene. In the
future, this technique may be used to allow doctors to treat any disorder instead of using drugs or
surgery by inserting a gene into a patient s cells. Several researchers are testing numerous approaches
to gene therapy, including taking out or deactivating a mutated gene that has improper functioning,
and introducing a new genetic factor into the body that will help fight a disease. In fact, several areas
of criteria must be met for the procedure to work.
After all, many believers claim it is unethical to use this technology, genetic engineering, because

Robin Williams Tragic Hero
Tragic heroes can be described as people who had royal beginnings, but had a downfall because of a
flaw, or multiple flaws. Due to this downfall, the tragic hero can impact the lives of many people.
Robin williams can be defined as a tragic hero. He was an actor beloved by all from his many comedic
acting roles, such as those in Mrs.Doubtfire and Hook. He seemed to be the best example of a perfect
person, but became a tragic hero after all of his hardships and addictions. Robin Williams was a great
actor and he helped wherever he could, but suffered with his flaws of substance dependence and
depression, leading to his untimely death. However, his influence will live on forever.

of as a way to escape the treacherous world he was living with, but his death had a great impact on
others as well. His family and friends were very concerned for him and were devastated when they
lost him. I lost my father and best friend and the world got a little greyer. I will carry his heart with me
everyday. I would like those who loved him to remember him by being as gentle, kind, and generous
as he would be (SFGate, Zak Williams). Even with the mistakes and wrongs he made, many people
will remember him as the bright, happy person he was on the screen. His death didn t create his
impact, but instead increased the greatness of the impacts he made when he was alive. The happy,
humorous, loving person has passed through to his children and to his adoring fans. Robin Williams

Essay On Lucretia
The purpose of this assignment is to present a brief yet comprehensive formal analysis of the work in
question, namely, Joos van Cleve s Lucretia. The painting was completed ca. 1525 by the Flemish
artist most likely in Antwerp, where he was highly active from about 1511 until his death in 1540. The
painting is oil on panel (75.9 x 60.6 cm) and is exemplary of the early Baroque period. The work
depicts at the broadest level the suicide of the early Roman historical figure, Lucretia, following her
rape c. 510 BC by Sextus Tarquinius, son of the last Roman king. The incident bears historical
significance as it marks rising popular dissatisfaction of the Roman people with the monarchy, and the
transition from the Roman Kingdom to the Roman Republic, ... Show more content on

This image of Lucretia is not that of some mythological or religious origin, say, of a venus, for
example, part of whose appeal is the depiction of nudity without social repercussion. With respect to
the time which bore this painting, it is not unlikely that this inclination to experiment with the female
nude was in part sublimated by means of this historical subject matter, however, so say that Lucretia s
nudity is illustrated only on account of what would amount to the privilege of moral impunity is
perhaps too simple an explanation. It seems much more reasonable to posit that Lucretia s own nudity,
especially in conjunction with her opulent, indeed, what is surely very expensive clothing (other
depictions of Lucretia typically omit the inclusion of clothes altogether), is employed by Cleve to
highlight Lucretia s shame amid her wealth and regal lifestyle, her clothes have been cleaved open,
and she had been irrevocable hurt and humiliated. Whether intended by the artist, this awkward
parting of Lucretia s garments over her left shoulder and down through her abdomen adds greatly to
the desolation and pity associated with her historical figure. Ultimately, this compositional decision
serves to augment the paintings emotional

The Hierarchy Of Needs ( Maslow Theory )
Hierarchy of Needs (Maslow Theory) Introduction Human motivation can refer to the fulfillment or
satisfaction of various needs. These needs encompass a broader range of human desires, starting from
the fundamental ones for survival to the complex emotional needs for comfort that surrounds
individual s psychological well being. In 1954, one of the social psychologist by the name Abraham
Maslow who was interested in a broad spectrum of analyzing and understanding the human needs
came up with a hierarchy of human needs theory portrayed in the form of a pyramid (Maslow, 2013).
Typically, a hierarchy is a presentation or an arrangement that ranks concepts or people from the
lowest level to the highest. According to Maslow, people must meet the wants at the lower level of the
hierarchy before they can have the motivation to work for the next heights. Maslow s Hierarchy of
Needs As stated by Taormina Gao (2013), the Maslow hierarchy of needs is based on two concepts:
the deficiency/lack needs and the growth desires. The primary and most fundamental four layers of the
Maslow hierarchy concentrates on physical requirements, safety and security, love, and self esteem.
When individuals are unable to meet these deficiency wants, there may not be a concrete suggestion or
warning, but they will feel tense, anxious, and uncomfortable. Maslow law theory suggests that the
primary level of wants must comfortably get addressed before the person focuses on the higher level
needs, also known

While the women in the church have an organized discipleship effort happening, there is not a
concerted effort to grow men into faithful followers of Jesus Christ. The men of the church need a
program where discipleship happens intentionally. The scripture that First Baptist Church uses for it s
vision is Matthew 5:13. The City on a Hill theme comes for this verse. The idea is that we should be
salt and light to the world so that others will know Him through us. People are not committed
followers of Christ just because they study the Bible. That is only part of the process. The Great
Commission tells us to make disciples, baptize them, and teach them to obey (Matthew 28:16). The
Great Commandment tells us to love God and others. (Matthew 22). The New Commandment in John
tells us to love one another (John 13:34 35). The church needs to be able to forge relationship so that
they in turn can reproduce more Christians. The commitment level in the Sunday School ministries is
strong at First Baptist. About 60 percent of the Sunday morning worship is also in Sunday School.
Sunday School tends to be strictly educational in nature. The groups do take care of each other in most
cases. However, mentoring and further discipleship is not happening. The participation in other
discipleship programs is much smaller. As stated earlier, the groups that are meeting outside of Sunday
School are

Pros And Cons Of The President Andrew Jackson
Andrew Jackson was elected as President of the United States because the American people saw him
as a man for the people. His leadership during the Battle of New Orleans gave him the respect of
wealthy businessmen, and his worker roots gain the support of those who were struggling to carve
their own a comfortable and suitable position. The duty of the President is to watch over the people by
vetoing bills, making treaties, enforcing the nation s laws, and is the Commander in Chief of the
armed forces. President Andrew Jackson should not have been impeached because he did all these
things for the good of the people. All of his actions and parts he played in bank wars, nullification
crisis, and native american removal were constitutional. Overall ... Show more content on

The Bank war started in 1832 when the congress, lead by Henry Clay, renewed the Second National
Bank s charter even though it wasn t meant to expire till 1836. The Second Bank centralized financial
might, jeopardizing economic stability, and it did not answer to anyone within the government. That
partly concerned Jackson because he had no way to control it. Also because of his previous election
experiences, he thought that a bank with that much power could not remain free from the electoral
process. That was one of his reasons for wanting the bank gone, the other was that he saw the national
bank system as corrupt and unjust because it only benefited the elites and was suspected to favor the
wealthy. Jackson knew that if the bank was not shut down the gap between the rich and poor would
keep growing, resulting in an unstable economy. By vetoing the bank s charter, withdrawing the
federal government s deposits from the Bank of the United States, and placing it in state banks called
pet banks he was helping then general people and working for the good of the nation. Taking out
money from the Second National Bank was a clever way to get what he wanted, but he was simply
looking out for the common man. Because the bank only helped the wealthy, a small percentage of the
population, he was taking care of the general people and not letting the priority fall to a minority who

Odysseus Separation Of Families In Homer s Odyssey
War is a curse because it separates families, makes people become senseless to killing and causes
soldiers to become guilty for things that were out of their control. First of all war,is curse because it
separates families. In Homer s Odyssey, Odysseus has been away from home and family for twenty
years. He is told by his passed mother about his family s condition and it isn t good. His father Lies so
now with aching heart/ and longs for your return while age comes upon him (Homer, 218 219). His
dear wife, Penelope is still waiting and mourning for him. Forlorn her nights and days go bye/ her life
used up in weeping (Homer 205 206). In the Odyssey it shows how war is a curse because of the
separation of families. It causes odysseus family to sink into sorrow and waste the golden years of
their lives in waiting for him, unsure if he s even still alive. It also cause the kingdom to be torn apart
without a ruler. Odysseus family were all hopeful for him to return an waited for a him to come home

In the story, The Sniper, Liam O Flaherty describes a sniper in war. The young men who are snipers
seem young and naive, but their eyes were very much different. They were deep and thoughtful. They
eyes of a man who is used to looking at death (O Flaherty). War makes soldiers become senseless to
killing. It makes them kill anything or anyone that poses as a threat. The young sniper who is
watching to kill sees a young women who points him out. He quickly exterminates her and the person
she was talking to. He didn t have specific orders to kill her. He just did it because she acted like a
threat to him. That alters the sniper at a moral level by making them lose their normal morals and they

My First Sight Of Amber Pithakoti
Judging someone from the first sight does not define who they are. However, my first sight of Amber

health care issues, and what is expected of everyone. This triggered my urge to interview him
regarding nursing as a profession and job, and learn what it entails to be an RN. Information generated

the nursing profession. Amber said to grow, one has to be willing to work hard. Nursing is beyond a
gentle touch. This phrase gave me the understanding that nursing requires considerate exposure to all
the life aspects. With that understanding, one can treat patients and fellow medical professionals well.
One gets to understand everything that affects their professional life, and life outside the workspace.
His personable character and approachable nature displayed a lot of skills that are expected from every
professional nurse. His passion for traveling across the world can inspire healthcare professionals to
appreciate their jobs. This is a display of his capability to interact with people from all walks of life
either as fellow professionals, learners, or as patients. This fact is important in the nursing career since
sometimes patients, as well as employees, can prove to be difficult to work with. One needs to be
equipped with a variety of social skills and communication skills to be able to handle them without
bringing about any challenges.

Then, my excitement incited something that would be my demise. Instead of simply presenting the
perfectly lovely piece of costume jewelry, my mind began to create a much more elaborate scenario
that snowballed to catastrophe. When we got to our first hour study hall, I made a big deal of making
certain that several people saw my ring. As they asked, I told them that my maternal grandfather was a
full blooded Native American (he actually was), and that he had given me this gorgeous piece of
turquoise jewelry which I wanted to give to Laura Beth as thanks for her help and welcoming manner.
As I had hoped, the class was impressed and I knew my status was immediately elevated in this new
social group. All was well until one of the boys asked to see the ring. As he examined it, I heard an
ominous snicker before he loudly announced, Hey, Gina, is your grandpa s name Chief Avon?
Naturally, I was mortified and began to cry and repent about fabricating the story. What is interesting
is that from that time forward, the students were much more helpful and welcoming. That was the day
that I learned a valuable lesson about lying and trying to impress other people. According to Segev,
Shoham, and Ruvio (2013) found that being self conscious can be positively related with gift giving in
adolescence. Adolescents value peer relationships and may give gifts as a way to ensure that they have

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Semisolid Processing
2.1 THE BEGINNING OF SEMISOLID PROCESSING
Semisolid processing originates with the research at MIT on the viscosity behavior of tin/lead alloys
during solidification, published by Spencer,Mehrabian, and Flemings in 1972.The original purpose
was to examine the shear stress of semisolid structures with a view to shedding light on hot tearing
mechanisms in solidifying alloys, but it was discovered that the process of shearing clearly altered the
microstructure, changing the dendritic morphology of the solid into more spherical form that brought
about a dramatic fall in shear stress and viscosity. This is of course the phenomenon of Thixotropy,
well known to ceramicists and polymer scientists, but until then not observed in metallic systems. This
discovery at MIT initiated an in depth study of thixotropy in alloys, and the awareness that stirred
semisolid alloys could be injected as in die casting into molds with certain advantages: The controlled
higher viscosity flow meant that less air ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Semi solid metal processing enables us to manufacture complicated shape components with near net
wall, good mechanical properties and high dimension tolerance accuracy [34]. SSP has some
advantages in comparison with conventional casting, such as decreasing the macrosegregation and
solidification shrinkage and reducing forming temperature [35]. Because of the absence of the
dendritic solid phase in the semi solid state, the alloy is easily shaped. The nondendritic microstructure
contains solid phase globules suspended in the liquid phase [33, 36].
The main advantages and disadvantages of SSM, relative to die casting, have been summarized by
Atkinson [37] to be as follows:
Advantages of SSM:

Ducati Motor Holding S.P.A. is an Italian company that designs and manufactures motorcycles.
Headquartered in Bologna, Italy, Ducati is owned by Audi through its Italian subsidiary Lamborghini.
In 1926 Antonio Cavaliers Ducati and his three sons, Adriano, Marcello, and Bruno cavaliers Ducati;
founded Society Scientific Radio Brevet Ducati in Bologna to produce vacuum tubes, condensers and
other radio components. In 1935 they had become successful enough to enable construction of a new
factory in the Borg Pan gale area of the city. Production was maintained during World War II, despite
the Ducati factory being a repeated target of Allied bombing. Farinelli began developing a small
pushrod engine for mounting on bicycles. Barely a month after the official liberation of Italy in 1944,
SIATA announced its intention to sell this engine, called the Cucciolo (Italian for puppy, in reference
to the distinctive exhaust sound) to the public. The first Cucciolos were available alone, to be mounted
on standard bicycles, by the buyer; however, businessmen soon bought the little engines in quantity,
and offered complete motorized bicycle units for sale. In 1950, after more than 200,000 Cucciolos had
been sold, in collaboration with SIATA, the Ducati firm finally offered its own Cucciolo based
motorcycle. This first Ducati motorcycle was a 48 cc bike weighing 98 lb. (44 kg) with a top speed of

Army Respect
What is respect? Respect can be in various forms. It can be knowledge, self awareness, trust,
character, honesty, understanding, and a positive attitude. But respect also has to be earned. If you can
t respect yourself then you won t be able to respect others. To gain respect you have to treat others the
way you would want to be treated. Without respect you can t have team work and care for other
peoples well being.
It is respect which creates devotion to the team, and the important part is that that respect flows both
up and down the chain of command. A leader respects the skills, strengths, and sacrifices of the people
who work for him, and by giving that respect, in time and with effort, his troops come to respect him
as well. That ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, without loyalty, respect is not present. If you are a disloyal member of the team you fail
to contribute to the team in a manner that is respectable. The lack of loyalty is disrespectful and in turn
awards you none for yourself.
Respect is described as esteem for or a sense of the worth or excellence of a person, a personal quality
or ability, or something considered as a manifestation of a personal quality or ability. In the United
States Army it is inaccurate to say you are required to respect the man or woman behind the rank. The
greater rank does not imply a greater human being. However, It would be quite accurate to say that in
the mechanics of the relationship between a lower enlisted soldier and a Non commissioned Officer
regardless of the enlisted soldiers opinion of the person the lower enlisted service member will respect
the rank and treat the Non commissioned officer with the same respect that is due to the rank worn.
This hierarchical design is intended to maintain an order based on qualification and experience.

that, Courtesy among members of the Armed Forces is vital to maintain military discipline. Respect to
seniors will be extended at all times. I realize now

Essay about Antony and Cleopatra by William Shakespeare
Antony and Cleopatra by William Shakespeare
In Shakespeare s Antony and Cleopatra, the presentation and development of the relationships among
the triumvirs, Caesar, Antony and Lepidus becomes a pivotal concern. As the play progresses, the
dynamics of the triumvirate changes and becomes more complicated, providing the audience with the
main political conflict that sometimes overshadows the romance of the title characters in the play.
Shakespeare provides the audience with several different images of the triumvirate through different
characters.
The play s first mentioning of the triumvirate is, in essence, a masculine Roman perspective of a
soldier. This is brought about through Philo and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By the end of Act I Scene I, the audience sees two Roman soldiers, speaking with disappointment of
their once great general, Mark Antony, who has turned into a strumpet s fool . Apparently enough,
Antony s disregard towards the messengers from Rome, which prompts Demetrius to say Is Caesar
with Antonius prized so slight? is an indication to the possible collapse of the triumvirate. Philo s
comment, sometimes when he is not Antony he comes too short of that great property which still
should go with Antony displays clearly Antony s failure in his duty as one of the three emperors. The
servants, on the contrary recognize Lepidus s failure in playing his role as a peace maker among the
members of the triumvirate. He is compared to a reed and does not live up his position and compares
his effectiveness to the holes where eyes should be . It becomes clear that the relationships among the
members of the triumvirs is a cause for attention as we are introduced by Philo to Antony s disregard
for Caesar s messages and Lepidus s failure in his effort at peacemaking. The supposed strength of this
union is subjected to doubts and reservations as unity among the members is deficient.

As the world is suffering from an ever diminishing stock of fossil fuels and serious pollution being
caused by fuels, solar energy has become the most promising solution to the global energy crisis.
Among various methods for generating energy from the sun, solar cells are an effective approach for
converting solar energy into electrical energy for regular use. There is a wide range of research
activities around the world that has demonstrated the efficiency potential of crystalline silicon cells.
Most of the research studies has inferred, both theoretically and practically, that thin crystalline silicon
cells can have low manufacturing costs while not compromising on reasonable efficiencies. Many
researchers have attempted to study the impact of wafer thickness on the performance of crystalline
silicon cells, and the best efficiencies on wafers with thickness under 200µm are typically in the range

Uninsured Insurance
Car owners are required to carry insurance, to be used in the event of a loss. What this means is that
when you are involved in an accident, you can look to the insurance provider of the negligent driver to
make you whole again. Unfortunately, not everyone has the required coverage, which can leave you
holding the bag for expenses associated with an accident. In order to avoid this possibility, don t leave
home without adding uninsured/underinsured coverage to your policy.
The benefit to having this coverage is that if you are hit by an uninsured or underinsured driver, or are
the victim of a hit and run, you still have coverage available to cover the costs of personal injuries. Of
course your insurance company will want to conduct an investigation of the accident before paying a
claim, which is why you should partner with a skilled personal injury attorney to protect your
interests. To assist with the investigation, it is crucial that you act to preserve the evidence. You can do
this by taking down what insurance information the other driver does have, taking photos, and getting
the names and contact information of all witnesses. Taking these steps will help prove your case, and
may speed up the time it takes to receive compensation. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Muly Graves In The Grapes Of Wrath
Introduced in chapter six of Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck, Muley Graves is a multi faceted
character who remains as the sole, original farmer in the area that Joad s family lived. The name
Muley Graves is carefully chosen by Steinbeck for it embodies the persona and thematic messages
Merely presents to the reader. Instead of leaving with the rest of the town, Muley remains and he
thinks of himself as a damn ol graveyard ghos (51) who wanders the vacated premises. Hence, this is
metaphorical to the abandoned homes and lives of the farmers when they left, which essentially
caused a graveyard to form. When Muely goes to neighbors houses in the night, (52) he considers
himself a ghosts patrolling the graveyard of the farmers their

Identity Formation
It is important to understand that immigration experiences are very personal and unique. There are
many different factors that play a role when immigrating to the United States, such as educational
challenges, family separations, and acculturation to say the least. Each individual has a different story.
However, for the most part the process of adapting to a new culture means creating a new identity in
order to feel welcomed into the new culture. There may be specific events that happen to different
families or individuals that make the transition and new identity formation more difficult than others.
Identity formation affects first generation immigrants differently than second generation immigrants
because of having the space and acceptance ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If the neighborhood or school is clean, modern, and quiet there is an assumption that the community is
very wealthy. However when the characteristics are the complete opposite there will the assumption
that the community is made up of minority immigrants. This also applies for the socioeconomic class
that can be shown through the size of the house or the county one lives in because some places have
very high taxes. There is also a connection between the neighborhoods where the schools are located
because if a school has a heavy population of a minority group, then the social interactions will remain

The Washoe County School District
The Washoe County School District recognizes the importance of sustainability and how sustainability
will allow for our stakeholders to have a successful future. As a district we believe in implementing
sustainable values in each person that we come into contact with by leading lives that are reflective of
creating a sustainable future. The WCSD defines sustainability as: creating an environment that
promotes learning, civic engagement, and collaboration in ways that create mindful citizens that are
aware of how the choices we make today impact our current conditions and have ripple effects that
carry into our future.
The sustainability vision or sustaiNVision for the WCSD is; Create an educational system that can be
sustained indefinitely through sustainable practices in education, energy usage, water usage, and
building and land usage. The Washoe County School District will create engaged students and
professionals that enter the world with a sustainable mindset as responsible citizens that work to
design the future.
The sustainability values or sustaiNValues for the WCSD are collaboration, celebration, transparency,
and leadership. The main challenges that we see impeding the sustainability plan are the size of the
district, the varying backgrounds of students in the district, and schools with building that vary greatly
in age and relative building size.
The key focus areas that the WCSD will focus on in implementing sustainability throughout the
district are energy,

The Fender Sratocaster Research Paper
The Fender Stratocaster The Fender Stratocaster is one of the most well known electric guitars around.
It is often used in a variety of genres of music from Blues to Rock music. It has become an essential
piece of equipment for players all around the world. Since the day of its birth in 1954, it continues to
impress everyone who plays one to this day. The versatility has to be one of the most unique factors of
the Fender Strat, there is nothing you cannot customize on this guitar to make it your own unique axe
of sound. Opening with the build of the guitar, its shape is rather distinctive, consisting of a glossy
polyester urethane finish in jet black. The contours on the body make it a player s delight considering

The Fender Stratocaster has always consisted of a three pick up system to give the guitar a range of
sounds that you do not generally get from other guitars. Pick ups are electro magnets that have six
pole magnets with two plastic pieces fit on each end to hold them together. A thin copper wire is then
spun around all six magnets for an average of seven thousand times. The more spins a pick up
contains, the more output it holds, giving the player more response when the strings are stricken. The
pick ups are white with the magnets staggered and poking through the pick up cover. Each one is a
single coil magnet placed into the pickguard in a certain place or angle. Wherever the pick up is
positioned, will determine the sound it makes. The neck single coil, being closest to the neck of the
guitar, has more bass in its sound due to it being closer to the center point of where the string spins
and vibrates. The middle single coil being a little further down from the neck, has sound the most
reggae players enjoy the most because it has the perfect balance of bass and treble to get the sound
they desire. Last but not least, the bridge pick up is the brightest sounding magnet in the guitar. It
being closer to the bridge, gives it more twang and bite compared to the neck and middle single coils.
This is all made possible by Leo Fender s Five selector switch which allows you to select each pickup
on its own or a blend

Re: The Accounting Cycle
Every company has an accounting cycle. An Accounting cycle is the process that begins with
analyzing and journalizing transactions and it ends with the post closing trial balance. When preparing
the accounting cycles there are ten steps that are included. They are as follow; transactions are

Journalized and Posting Adjusting Entries Then, adjusting entries are journalized and posted to the
ledger. At the end of the accounting period the adjusting entries appearing in the work sheet are
recorded in the journal and posted to the ledger; bringing the ledger into agreement with the data
reported on the profit and loss account and balance sheet. The adjusting entries are dated as on the last
day of the accounting period, even though they are usually recorded some time later Preparing an
Adjusting Trial Balance The next step involves an adjusting trial balance being prepared. The adjusted
trial balance is prepared to verify the equality of the total of the debit and credit balances. This is the
last step before preparing the financial statements. If the adjusted trial balance does not balance, an
error had occurred and must be found and corrected. Preparing the Financial Statements The financial
statements are then prepared. The financial statement is the most important outcome of the account
cycle. In this process the income statement is prepared first, followed by the statement of owner s
equity, and then the balance sheet. The statement can be prepared directly from the adjusted trial
balance, the end of period spreadsheet, or the ledger. The net income or net loss shown on the income
statement is reported on the statement of

Persuasion As A Political Leader
In today s society, we are easily influenced to think and act a certain way. For example, we are
influenced by the media to buy things and meet certain standards, however, we often don t protest or
question why. Through persuasion, one alters another s perspective on an event or occurrence and
because of this, people usually tend to accept what is being said or portrayed. According to Petty and
Cacioppo (1986), there are two routes to persuasion. When one tries to persuade another by being
more caring and have a good understanding of the message they are delivering, this is called the
central route to persuasion. The second route to persuasion is better known as the peripheral route to
persuasion. This occurs when the one being addressed simply agrees with what is being said based on
certain superficial cues rather than the actual message. Political persuasion methods are widely used,
especially in campaigns. As a political leader, one detains the ultimate power to influence the
population. Being a political leader, however, is never easy. Sometimes, one must make tough
decisions that many of the population might not agree on. For instance, if a person in power chose to
bomb a foreign country, this would create mayhem and thus his followers or just people in society
would start to doubt his decision and may lead to riots. This specific political leader must debate his
case and persuade the population that his decision was the right thing to do. In order to do so,

brilliant solitaire as the choice of ring.

problem selling your ring to another person. The resale value will not lower due to trends or less

Cons of Round Brilliant Diamond Engagement Rings

things at once. Like you are online searching for things and you are uploading a file. With a big ram,
you could do this. The data on hard disk is information you store from your computer. The more data
you add to the disk, it will become harder to find. The data on CD Rom s much slower then a hard

The Migration Of South Australia And The Pacific Islands
Around 50,000 years ago, a limited group of humans migrated through to northern Australia and the
Pacific Islands by means of primitive boat. Scholars believe that it is highly likely theses trips were
planned, due to the fact that enough women and men to furnish a new population had traveled
collectively (Kamrani, Kambiz). Seeing as how the Pacific was the first ocean to be explored in this
time marks the ocean crossing coming out of Eurasia to Australia and the Pacific Islands one of
humanity s earliest great achievements. Although as to where the migrants began their journey before
the travel to the islands is arguable at best, there exist numerous migration routes stemming from
Africa to Southeast Asia and onward. Still, it became a tremendous accomplishment for
mankind, though the justifying means as to how, why and when the journey was made are still a
debated topic among scholars. The migration of early humans to Australia and New Guinea from
Southeast Asia is known as the Southern wave. The actual timing of it is hard to ascertain as it appears
after the end of the last Ice Age (12,000 years ago), the glaciers that melted had drowned large
stretches of coastline covering any possible evidence for newage scientists and making it certain that
the humans had to endure a fifty mile voyage at sea to reach land in Australia. Using sea crafts strong
enough and advanced far beyond the technology norm at the time, in order to survive such a journey,
settlements of these early

Use Of Writing Used By The Missionaries Of Josiah Venture
and observed the larger purpose they all serve as a whole. I gathered many primary sources that were
written in different points of time. I was able to make sense of much of the data from my past
experience with support raising. I have spent several summers in the states with my parents as they
use these methods of support raising so I myself am also very familiar with many of Josiah Venture s
methods.
Results The results of this study show the importance of all of these forms of writing used by the
missionaries of Josiah Venture. It is important to realize that the supporters of all of these missionaries
are mainly residence of the United States and other European countries. The strategies and roles of
these writing types may not apply to every culture a certain missionary communicates with. However,
I the values and meaning behind these methods likely apply to all cultures.
Support Letters I ll start with the very first technological writing method for support raising. Support
letters. Like I said earlier in my paper, I interviewed my grandfather Richard Patty who served in the
Philippines for several years. I managed to obtain several samples of support letters from him
including one that dates all the way back to 1955. News letters can sustain the interest of a donor.
Back then you couldn t have your bank automatically send a check to a list of missionaries. They
needed to be reminded to of their commitment to send money. (R. Patty) My parents who are

The Best Way Of Successfully Acting A Part
Scottish writer Arthur Conan Doyle stated, The best way of successfully acting a part is to be it.
Although this quote can be linked to all aspects of human life, it can be specifically correlated to
gaining a profession. In other words, to gain a profession such as a doctor, nurse, surgeon, military
medic, etc, a person must act the part. Yet, to act the part, people contemplating mastering one of these
careers needs the appropriate tools and technology to gain experience. Seeing that nobody would be
willing to allow a medical student to butcher them by practicing various operations and medical
procedures, there are now technologies which simulate real life people and situations without
involving actual people. This is called simulation technology. Simulation technology is an amazing
innovation, specifically within the medical field, because it has been proven useful for many years, it
aids in learning for adult education, there is a wide variety of different simulation technologies and
uses of those technologies, and it helps create a safe, cruelty free, and accurate environment for
medical students to practice their skills.
Definition
In order to understand the history of simulation technology, it is important to first understand what
simulation means. According to the Meriam Webster Dictionary (2004), simulation is defined as,
something that is made to look, feel, or behave like something else especially so that it can be studied
or used to train people.

Getting The Opportunity To Get A Driver s License
Getting the opportunity to get a driver s license is very important to me. The best part about getting a
license is that I have the freedom to go where I want instead of always going where my parents want
me to go. It may be easy to get a driver s license, but I still have to remember that I have to pay gas
money, insurance, etc. Once i get these stages down I will be good and not have to worry about
anything else, right? Wrong, driving can also be dangerous and their are things you can do to prevent
those dangerous outcomes. Let s learn more about these three key features.
First, driving can give me more rights to go wherever my heart desires. It can also help me get to
places where i need to be. For example, I live in Iowa ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This will help me to value money instead of just spending. I need to spend my money wisely and not
spend it as soon as I get it. All of these things that I listed can cost over $35,000 depending on how
much my car is worth. Even driving a vehicle burning gas could cost over $1,500 of gas a year.
Last, but not least, driving may cost me a couple thousand dollars out of my pocket, but it can sure be
dangerous. When I m driving with people I have to remember that my life and their life are in my
hands. There are ways I can prevent reckless driving such as, always watching the road and not
drinking alcohol while I drive. Driving safely is very important, you can even go to jail behind
careless driving. In conclusion, stay safe while driving and don t get caught up in the motions.
As one can see, getting a driver s license is extremely important to me. It gives me the freedom to
drive where I want, it helps me to value money more, but it can also be dangerous. When I m driving I
will consider and look back on these features. I know these three reasons are reasons where i can be
safe and benefit from. They will stay in my life and I will never forget

  • 2. Essay about The Human Genome Project Genetic engineering is, at best, a debatable branch of science. For some, it is the wave of the future: a method for perfecting the human genome, discarding flaws from infants before they are born and ensuring they live longer, healthier lives. For others, it is an abomination: a method of circumventing what nature gave you, and wholly unnatural. Which one is right? (Bird). Naturally, genetics is the scientific study of inherited variations in the DNA strand. This topic sparked curiosity among numerous scientific individuals that they begun a research project on it titled the Human Genome Project. To illustrate, the Human Genome Project worked out the sequence of the three billion chemical letters of the human genome, and it produced ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Human genetics should be a considerable option in the future to benefit our world. For example, gene therapy can be used to cure genetic diseases like leukemia. For instance, a young man from Douglas, Arizona, a town boarding Mexico, underwent chemotherapy, but if he had gone through gene therapy instead of the harmful chemotherapy radiation that could have been performed many toils would have been prevented for the young man and his family. Gene therapy is an experimental way of using inheritable factors to treat or prevent diseases it is also an experimental technique that is used to substitute a gene that works right for a non working gene. In fact, in human genetics, gene therapy is the use of genetic material as medicine involving the transfer of working or therapeutic copy of a gene into specific cells of an individual to repair a copy of a faulty gene. In the future, this technique may be used to allow doctors to treat any disorder instead of using drugs or surgery by inserting a gene into a patient s cells. Several researchers are testing numerous approaches to gene therapy, including taking out or deactivating a mutated gene that has improper functioning, and introducing a new genetic factor into the body that will help fight a disease. In fact, several areas of criteria must be met for the procedure to work. After all, many believers claim it is unethical to use this technology, genetic engineering, because these genius ... • 4. Essay On Lucretia The purpose of this assignment is to present a brief yet comprehensive formal analysis of the work in question, namely, Joos van Cleve s Lucretia. The painting was completed ca. 1525 by the Flemish artist most likely in Antwerp, where he was highly active from about 1511 until his death in 1540. The painting is oil on panel (75.9 x 60.6 cm) and is exemplary of the early Baroque period. The work depicts at the broadest level the suicide of the early Roman historical figure, Lucretia, following her rape c. 510 BC by Sextus Tarquinius, son of the last Roman king. The incident bears historical significance as it marks rising popular dissatisfaction of the Roman people with the monarchy, and the transition from the Roman Kingdom to the Roman Republic, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This image of Lucretia is not that of some mythological or religious origin, say, of a venus, for example, part of whose appeal is the depiction of nudity without social repercussion. With respect to the time which bore this painting, it is not unlikely that this inclination to experiment with the female nude was in part sublimated by means of this historical subject matter, however, so say that Lucretia s nudity is illustrated only on account of what would amount to the privilege of moral impunity is perhaps too simple an explanation. It seems much more reasonable to posit that Lucretia s own nudity, especially in conjunction with her opulent, indeed, what is surely very expensive clothing (other depictions of Lucretia typically omit the inclusion of clothes altogether), is employed by Cleve to highlight Lucretia s shame amid her wealth and regal lifestyle, her clothes have been cleaved open, and she had been irrevocable hurt and humiliated. Whether intended by the artist, this awkward parting of Lucretia s garments over her left shoulder and down through her abdomen adds greatly to the desolation and pity associated with her historical figure. Ultimately, this compositional decision serves to augment the paintings emotional ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Hierarchy Of Needs ( Maslow Theory ) Hierarchy of Needs (Maslow Theory) Introduction Human motivation can refer to the fulfillment or satisfaction of various needs. These needs encompass a broader range of human desires, starting from the fundamental ones for survival to the complex emotional needs for comfort that surrounds individual s psychological well being. In 1954, one of the social psychologist by the name Abraham Maslow who was interested in a broad spectrum of analyzing and understanding the human needs came up with a hierarchy of human needs theory portrayed in the form of a pyramid (Maslow, 2013). Typically, a hierarchy is a presentation or an arrangement that ranks concepts or people from the lowest level to the highest. According to Maslow, people must meet the wants at the lower level of the hierarchy before they can have the motivation to work for the next heights. Maslow s Hierarchy of Needs As stated by Taormina Gao (2013), the Maslow hierarchy of needs is based on two concepts: the deficiency/lack needs and the growth desires. The primary and most fundamental four layers of the Maslow hierarchy concentrates on physical requirements, safety and security, love, and self esteem. When individuals are unable to meet these deficiency wants, there may not be a concrete suggestion or warning, but they will feel tense, anxious, and uncomfortable. Maslow law theory suggests that the primary level of wants must comfortably get addressed before the person focuses on the higher level needs, also known ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

While the women in the church have an organized discipleship effort happening, there is not a concerted effort to grow men into faithful followers of Jesus Christ. The men of the church need a program where discipleship happens intentionally. The scripture that First Baptist Church uses for it s vision is Matthew 5:13. The City on a Hill theme comes for this verse. The idea is that we should be salt and light to the world so that others will know Him through us. People are not committed followers of Christ just because they study the Bible. That is only part of the process. The Great Commission tells us to make disciples, baptize them, and teach them to obey (Matthew 28:16). The Great Commandment tells us to love God and others. (Matthew 22). The New Commandment in John tells us to love one another (John 13:34 35). The church needs to be able to forge relationship so that they in turn can reproduce more Christians. The commitment level in the Sunday School ministries is strong at First Baptist. About 60 percent of the Sunday morning worship is also in Sunday School. Sunday School tends to be strictly educational in nature. The groups do take care of each other in most cases. However, mentoring and further discipleship is not happening. The Bank war started in 1832 when the congress, lead by Henry Clay, renewed the Second National Bank s charter even though it wasn t meant to expire till 1836. The Second Bank centralized financial might, jeopardizing economic stability, and it did not answer to anyone within the government. That partly concerned Jackson because he had no way to control it. Also because of his previous election experiences, he thought that a bank with that much power could not remain free from the electoral process. That was one of his reasons for wanting the bank gone, the other was that he saw the national bank system as corrupt and unjust because it only benefited the elites and was suspected to favor the wealthy. Jackson knew that if the bank was not shut down the gap between the rich and poor would keep growing, resulting in an unstable economy. By vetoing the bank s charter, withdrawing the federal government s deposits from the Bank of the United States, and placing it in state banks called pet banks he was helping then general people and working for the good of the nation. Taking out money from the Second National Bank was a clever way to get what he wanted, but he was simply looking out for the common man. • 11. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Semisolid Processing 2.1 THE BEGINNING OF SEMISOLID PROCESSING Semisolid processing originates with the research at MIT on the viscosity behavior of tin/lead alloys during solidification, published by Spencer,Mehrabian, and Flemings in 1972.The original purpose was to examine the shear stress of semisolid structures with a view to shedding light on hot tearing mechanisms in solidifying alloys, but it was discovered that the process of shearing clearly altered the microstructure, changing the dendritic morphology of the solid into more spherical form that brought about a dramatic fall in shear stress and viscosity. This is of course the phenomenon of Thixotropy, well known to ceramicists and polymer scientists, but until then not observed in metallic systems. This discovery at MIT initiated an in depth study of thixotropy in alloys, and the awareness that stirred semisolid alloys could be injected as in die casting into molds with certain advantages: The controlled higher viscosity flow meant that less air ... Next, the issues and challenges in light trapping and the nature of textured interface, quality of the active layer material and antireflection coatings are detailed. Index Terms Fabrication, Solar cell technology, Crystalline silicon I. INTRODUCTION As the world is suffering from an ever diminishing stock of fossil fuels and serious pollution being caused by fuels, solar energy has become the most promising solution to the global energy crisis. Among various methods for generating energy from the sun, solar cells are an effective approach for converting solar energy into electrical energy for regular use. There is a wide range of research activities around the world that has demonstrated the efficiency potential of crystalline silicon cells. Most of the research studies has inferred, both theoretically and practically, that thin crystalline silicon cells can have low manufacturing costs while not compromising on reasonable efficiencies. Many researchers have attempted to study the impact of wafer thickness on the performance of crystalline silicon cells, and the best efficiencies on wafers with thickness under 200µm are typically in the range ... • 21. Uninsured Insurance Car owners are required to carry insurance, to be used in the event of a loss. What this means is that when you are involved in an accident, you can look to the insurance provider of the negligent driver to make you whole again. Unfortunately, not everyone has the required coverage, which can leave you holding the bag for expenses associated with an accident. In order to avoid this possibility, don t leave home without adding uninsured/underinsured coverage to your policy. The benefit to having this coverage is that if you are hit by an uninsured or underinsured driver, or are the victim of a hit and run, you still have coverage available to cover the costs of personal injuries. Of course your insurance company will want to conduct an investigation of the accident before paying a claim, which is why you should partner with a skilled personal injury attorney to protect your interests. To assist with the investigation, it is crucial that you act to preserve the evidence. You can do this by taking down what insurance information the other driver does have, taking photos, and getting the names and contact information of all witnesses. Taking these steps will help prove your case, and may speed up the time it takes to receive compensation. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Muly Graves In The Grapes Of Wrath Introduced in chapter six of Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck, Muley Graves is a multi faceted character who remains as the sole, original farmer in the area that Joad s family lived. The name Muley Graves is carefully chosen by Steinbeck for it embodies the persona and thematic messages Merely presents to the reader. Instead of leaving with the rest of the town, Muley remains and he thinks of himself as a damn ol graveyard ghos (51) who wanders the vacated premises. Hence, this is metaphorical to the abandoned homes and lives of the farmers when they left, which essentially caused a graveyard to form. The Fender Stratocaster has always consisted of a three pick up system to give the guitar a range of sounds that you do not generally get from other guitars. Pick ups are electro magnets that have six pole magnets with two plastic pieces fit on each end to hold them together. A thin copper wire is then spun around all six magnets for an average of seven thousand times. The more spins a pick up contains, the more output it holds, giving the player more response when the strings are stricken. The pick ups are white with the magnets staggered and poking through the pick up cover. Each one is a single coil magnet placed into the pickguard in a certain place or angle. Wherever the pick up is positioned, will determine the sound it makes. The neck single coil, being closest to the neck of the guitar, has more bass in its sound due to it being closer to the center point of where the string spins and vibrates. The middle single coil being a little further down from the neck, has sound the most reggae players enjoy the most because it has the perfect balance of bass and treble to get the sound they desire. Last but not least, the bridge pick up is the brightest sounding magnet in the guitar. It being closer to the bridge, gives it more twang and bite compared to the neck and middle single coils. This is all made possible by Leo Fender s Five selector switch which allows you to select each pickup on its own or a blend ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 29. Persuasion As A Political Leader In today s society, we are easily influenced to think and act a certain way. For example, we are influenced by the media to buy things and meet certain standards, however, we often don t protest or question why. Through persuasion, one alters another s perspective on an event or occurrence and because of this, people usually tend to accept what is being said or portrayed. According to Petty and Cacioppo (1986), there are two routes to persuasion. When one tries to persuade another by being more caring and have a good understanding of the message they are delivering, this is called the central route to persuasion. The second route to persuasion is better known as the peripheral route to persuasion. This occurs when the one being addressed simply agrees with what is being said based on certain superficial cues rather than the actual message. Political persuasion methods are widely used, especially in campaigns. As a political leader, one detains the ultimate power to influence the population. Being a political leader, however, is never easy. Sometimes, one must make tough decisions that many of the population might not agree on. For instance, if a person in power chose to bomb a foreign country, this would create mayhem and thus his followers or just people in society would start to doubt his decision and may lead to riots. This specific political leader must debate his case and persuade the population that his decision was the right thing to do. In order to do so, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 32. The Migration Of South Australia And The Pacific Islands Around 50,000 years ago, a limited group of humans migrated through to northern Australia and the Pacific Islands by means of primitive boat. Scholars believe that it is highly likely theses trips were planned, due to the fact that enough women and men to furnish a new population had traveled collectively (Kamrani, Kambiz). Seeing as how the Pacific was the first ocean to be explored in this time marks the ocean crossing coming out of Eurasia to Australia and the Pacific Islands one of humanity s earliest great achievements. Although as to where the migrants began their journey before the travel to the islands is arguable at best, there exist numerous migration routes stemming from Africa to Southeast Asia and onward. Still, it became a tremendous accomplishment for mankind, though the justifying means as to how, why and when the journey was made are still a debated topic among scholars. The migration of early humans to Australia and New Guinea from Southeast Asia is known as the Southern wave. The actual timing of it is hard to ascertain as it appears after the end of the last Ice Age (12,000 years ago), the glaciers that melted had drowned large stretches of coastline covering any possible evidence for newage scientists and making it certain that the humans had to endure a fifty mile voyage at sea to reach land in Australia. Using sea crafts strong enough and advanced far beyond the technology norm at the time, in order to survive such a journey, settlements of these early ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is important to realize that the supporters of all of these missionaries are mainly residence of the United States and other European countries. The strategies and roles of these writing types may not apply to every culture a certain missionary communicates with. Yet, to act the part, people contemplating mastering one of these careers needs the appropriate tools and technology to gain experience. Seeing that nobody would be willing to allow a medical student to butcher them by practicing various operations and medical procedures, there are now technologies which simulate real life people and situations without involving actual people. This is called simulation technology. Simulation technology is an amazing innovation, specifically within the medical field, because it has been proven useful for many years, it aids in learning for adult education, there is a wide variety of different simulation technologies and uses of those technologies, and it helps create a safe, cruelty free, and accurate environment for medical students to practice their skills.
