to that individual. I had the assumption that when people have a very bubbly and outgoing personality
they would greet everyone in the same vivacious way. Likewise, when individuals are more reserved
and less likely to take the initiative in introducing themselves to a stranger, I figured they would be
more shy and quiet in their responses. So what I wanted to do was count to three out loud before
saying, Hello back to my friends, co workers, family members, and strangers greetings and see how
they would react to this social norm violation. Therefore, the social norm I chose to break was failing
to respond directly to a person s greeting in the normal response rate and additionally counting out
loud to three before replying.

Marcus Junius Brutus Minor was the son of Marcus Junius Brutus Maior and Servilia Caepionis. His
father was killed by Pompey the Great in dubious circumstances after he had taken part in the
rebellion of Lepidus; his mother was the half sister of Cato the Younger, and later Julius Caesar s
mistress. Some sources refer to the possibility of Caesar being his real father,despite Caesar s being
only 15 years old when Brutus was born. Brutus uncle, Quintus Servilius Caepio, adopted him in
about 59 BC, and Brutus was known officially for a time as Quintus Servilius Caepio Brutus before he
reverted to using his birth name. Following Caesar s assassination in 44 BC, Brutus revived his
adoptive name in order to illustrate his links to another famous tyrannicide, Gaius Servilius Ahala,
from whom he was descended. Brutus held his uncle in high regard and his political career started
when he became an assistant to Cato, during his governorship of Cyprus. During this time, he enriched
himself by lending money at high rates of interest. Brutus was also active in the province of Cilicia, in
the year before Cicero was proconsul there; Cicero documents how Brutus profited from
moneylending to the provincials in his Letters. He returned to Rome a rich man, where he married
Claudia Pulchra. From his first appearance in the Senate, Brutus aligned with the Optimates (the

As a smaller player on the field, most of the time my ankles were getting assaulted by kids one and a
half times my size. Fortunately, two consecutive years included a nasty ankle injury for me. Thanks to
other players, soccer had the opportunity to reteach me. The first injury occurred between eighth and

furiously. Before anyone could ask why I was limping, I was off the field and icing my ankle. After a
late night visit to the emergency room when the swelling continued to grow and I could no longer put
any pressure on my foot, it was discovered that I had a high ankle sprain. The doctors ordered me to
wear an air cast for the following two to three months with a strict ban on running, along with minimal
walking to get to class only patience is a virtue. However, the following season I managed to hurt the
same ankle all over again during practice. While going to shoot the ball, I had the unfortunate
circumstance of a defender trying to clear the ball at the same moment. Our feet hit the ball at the
exact same time, and the earth shattering force of contact left both of us on the ground holding our

with disabilities participating in a standardized summative common assessment, which is mandated by

benchmarks in the curriculum. (Salend, 2016, pg 454) These assessments are used and analyzed in
order to make important decisions. The results of high stake testing can be used to make decisions
about a student s education program and promotion. They often are used to measure teaching
effectiveness. The use of high stake testing is highly controversial. Many argue these tests are not an
accurate depiction of a student s abilities. Not every student is a good test taker, and other means of
assessments could be used to measure student s skills and abilities. It may also cause pressure on
students as well as cause testing anxiety and lack of motivation in some students. (Salend, 2016, pg
455) Other consequences of high stake testing is that is puts too much reliance on a test to measure

War is an inescapable pattern in history. The world is constantly in a state of war. In America, we see a
war amongst ourselves with racism, discrimination, and hate crime. These wars seem meaningless,
and reveal that humans have an ingrained yearning for violence. While reading the novels Beowulf,
told from the perspective of a hero, and Grendel, told from the perspective of the monster, the innately
violent nature of humans becomes apparent. Throughout Beowulf and Grendel, killing and war are
common themes. Both novels feature violent scenes that show the cruel nature of humans. In Grendel,
the humans attack because they feel unsure about Grendel s motives and uneasy by his scary
appearance. When the humans went to war, they often expressed joy and would hold parties to

This was a very interesting simulation. As mentioned in the Flipchat video discussion, I have done
several other simulations during my undergrad schooling. Compared to this simulation they were
based in the financial realm focused on stocks and bonds. However, they all share a similar aspect in
regards that their ultimate goal to maximize profit. Ultimately I ended up doing three different runs
through the simulation that each had unique results. My best results showed a profit of $37.5 million
and a market share of just under 50% for the state of Florida. During my first run through of the
simulations I had simple strategy which was to mimic the prices of the competition. I matched the

However, at the same time I believed that because there was only a little gap in market share, the
reputation of Universal was greater than its competition and the price difference was the reason for the
market share gap. Therefore, I lowered the prices to be comparative to the competitor and my theory
was correct and the market share flipped and Universal gained more as the months progressed. This
process is what I would implement on a larger scale in my second simulation run.
Throughout my second run in the simulation I altered my strategy to have my prices lower then
competition and it backfired greatly on me. My thought process for this was that having lower prices
would definitely raise market share as consumers would chose the cheaper costs. At the same time I
envisioned the drop in prices would result in more consumers switching companies and renting from
Universal, but I was wrong. The results of this simulation ended with a loss of over $11 million but a
market share of over 50%. My error for this simulation was that I relied too much on lowering prices.
In the first simulation the last three months were the competition increased their prices and there were
no change to universal resulted in losses of profits. I took that as not adjusting the prices and not that
