● Make sure profile / content, and contest matches business.

● With a portion of “journal” style content

● Help people. We want to give them direction!
● Makes Google like you.
AKA: Helps people find you on Google
● Establishes you as a thought-leader & expert
● Produces leads
● Expands network
● Creates Platform & content for communication
● Creates business authority
● Creates strategized content for ALL other online work
○ Social Media, Inbound Marketing, etc
● You OWN it (content, traffic, ad. revenue)

LET’S GET WRITING
1. Define your audience
2. Write down the PROBLEMS / Pain points they have?
This becomes your topics
3. Pick 1 topic to begin with
4. Research:
a. Google it - see what is common
b. Find 2 good quality websites / articles that discuss a similar topic
5. WRITE. Sit down. Remove Distractions (see Tools Next Slide)
a. Get all your thoughts out. Be as long-winded as possible.
b. Make it EASY to read.

2) Rewrite for Conciseness & POWER. You are the authority.

b) Use less transitions.
NO: buts, ifs, maybes, i think’s, I believe’s, Write with Strength
c) Use good synonyms
3) Read backwards for spelling
4) Keywords - Pick 3.
a) Those need to appear at least 4 times
5) Cross-promote (internally & externally)

● Keep running list of topics as you go through your day / week (notes in your phone)

○ 5 FAQs about product / service
● Pick a topic and write everything on it that you can think / gather in 1.5 hours
○ Break content up into 2-3 chunks, (becomes 2 / 3 articles) and format.
● Blog formatting Checklist (SEO for Dummies)
○ Focus: 1-2 Keywords / 1 Keyphrase (use it 4x)
