About Summit?
• Summit (AI supercomputer) is a supercomputer
developed by IBM for use at Oak Ridge National
Laboratory, which as of November, 2018 is the
fastest supercomputer in the world, capable of 200
petaflops.
• Dedicated to open science, Summit will drive scientific
study and discovery as one of the world’s most powerful
computers by enabling five to 10 times the
computational performance of its predecessor, Titan.

A Building block to get access to SUMMIT
• Researchers can get access to SUMMIT ..
• Researchers may get access to nimbix.net to develop an initial AI/HPC Application
• Researchers may procure a Mini Summit super computer( 3 to 6 nodes clusters) and
develop an application
• For Scaling their applications to larger set of nodes/GPUs, they can make a request to
Oak Ridge for SUMMIT’s access.
Do u want to get onto this fastest super computer and also run your AI/HPC workloads
across thousands of Power Processor as well as GPUs ?
This page explains the difference between the various allocation programs and the criteria
for each: INCITE, ALCC and Director’s Discretionary (DD). You will find links to each for
