Who We Are?
• We are the OpenPOWER Academic Discussion Group members
• The OpenPOWER Foundation is a collaboration around Power ISA-based products
initiated by IBM and announced as the "OpenPOWER Consortium" on August 6,
2013
• IBM is opening technology surrounding their Power Architecture offerings, such
as processor specifications, firmware and software with a liberal license, and will
be using a collaborative development model with their partners
• The OpenPOWER Academic Discussion Group is taking care of curriculum
development with the moto of taking the technology to the student community
and developers

Who Can Join?
• The OpenPOWER Academic Discussion Group welcomes all the experienced
engineers and academicians in the field of chip design and application
development.
• Basic criteria we must maintain the quality
• Engineers & Researchers working in Chip Design and Verification background
with minimum 5+ Years of experience
• Academicians with doctorate in the related fields with 5+ years of experience
from the reputed institutions
Targeted Students Group
• Initially the program is targeted to bridge the Industry and academia knowledge
gap of Undergraduate Students of the following branches
• ECE
• CSE
• EEE
• Later the program will be extended to Post Graduate Students also.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Regularly participate in the OpenPOWER ADG discussion
• Take part in the residential programs
• Knowledge sharing for the curriculum development
• Develop course materials
• Lab exercises for conducting the course
• Participate in an internal review of the course material and Incorporate any
review feedback on the course material
• Train enough lab assistants for conducting the labs during the course smoothly.

Our Mission will help Government of India’s Mission to fill the
manpower shortage in chip design domain and encouraging to bring
up more chip making professionals.

Who We Are? • We are the OpenPOWER Academic Discussion Group members • The OpenPOWER Foundation is a collaboration around Power ISA-based products initiated by IBM and announced as the "OpenPOWER Consortium" on August 6, 2013 • IBM is opening technology surrounding their Power Architecture offerings, such as processor specifications, firmware and software with a liberal license, and will be using a collaborative development model with their partners • The OpenPOWER Academic Discussion Group is taking care of curriculum development with the moto of taking the technology to the student community and developers
  • 4. 5 Days Residency Program FN Exploring OpenPOWER ADG and understanding 40 Hrs curriculum structure AN Exploring remote lab facilities,Brain stroming, team formation and consenting to responsibilities FN Team discussion, segregation of topics and content creation AN Presentation of contents of each module and feed back collection FN Content creation AN Presentation of contents of each module and feed back collection FN Content creation AN Presentation of contents of each module and feed back collection FN Planning lab resources and materials and fitting it appropriately to the developed contents AN Quick review of the residency program and seeding information for preparation with targets. Who Can Join? • The OpenPOWER Academic Discussion Group welcomes all the experienced engineers and academicians in the field of chip design and application development. • Basic criteria we must maintain the quality • Engineers & Researchers working in Chip Design and Verification background with minimum 5+ Years of experience • Academicians with doctorate in the related fields with 5+ years of experience from the reputed institutions
  • 6. Targeted Students Group • Initially the program is targeted to bridge the Industry and academia knowledge gap of Undergraduate Students of the following branches • ECE • CSE • EEE • Later the program will be extended to Post Graduate Students also.
  • 7. Roles and Responsibilities • Regularly participate in the OpenPOWER ADG discussion • Take part in the residential programs • Knowledge sharing for the curriculum development • Develop course materials • Lab exercises for conducting the course • Participate in an internal review of the course material and Incorporate any review feedback on the course material • Train enough lab assistants for conducting the labs during the course smoothly.
  • 8. Linkage to India Mission Our Mission will help Government of India’s Mission to fill the manpower shortage in chip design domain and encouraging to bring up more chip making professionals. Our mission is in alignment with the following India’s Missions • Make in India • India Semiconductor Mission • Chip 2 Startup • Special Manpower Development programme in VLSI
