Pros And Cons Of Living In Houston
The cons of living in Houston. I ll go through them first: It is hot here, and it is humid. We have
summer days that will make you melt. Fortunately we have air conditioning everywhere. Unless you
re a golfer or cyclist, you won t have to experience the heat unless you re going between your car and
a building. I do hear they are plenty Nigerians but its just hyped, I rarely see them. Just 2 3 African
stores and Resturant.
Traffic can be bad, but so is every major city. What we have are some bad drivers. They aren t the
worst, but they are poorly trained. The left lane is for passing and slower traffic must keep right, but
you always get the bunghole who plants himself in the left lane at a certain speed and thinks he s

The Roles Of Human Resource Planning In Pizza Hut
1. Introduction
According to Wallace et.al, (2016) human resource planning is the process of identification and
documentation demonstrated by project roles, responsibilities, skills required, to report on the
relationship, and create staffing plan s members of the project. The advantage of this process is that it
verifies the roles and responsibilities for the project, project organization chart and staff management
plan including a timetable for the acquisition and input and the output.
The human resource planning is an integral part of the company s budget and, as such, must be
verified to ensure compliance of the expected results with the same frequency of the checks required
for other business budget. Periodic monitoring will allow the ... Show more content on

Apathy To Empathy
Moving from Apathy to Empathy
Apathy in general, is defined as: indifference, lack of interest, or concern for others. More specifically,
the dis ability to identify with others or feel their pain is the primary nature of those who are strong on
apathy.
Empathy, in contrast, is defined as having compassion and sympathy towards others to the extent of
being able to relate with them and their pains. Empathy is, also the ability to understand or feel what
the other person is experiencing or going through. It is the ability to step into the shoes of another
person, with the aim to understand their feelings and perspectives, and then to use that understanding
to guide our actions. That differentiates it from kindness or pity. Additionally, empathy ... Show more

We all usually have assumptions about others. That prevents us from appreciating their individuality.
We need to shelve our assumptions and accept the differences.
Thirdly, we can expand our empathy by gaining direct experience of other people s lives, putting into
practice the proverb: Walk a mile in another man s shoes, before you criticise him .
There are two more traits required for being an empathic person. One of them is, to master the art of
listening. It is essential, that we have the ability to listen to what is really going on within the other
person, and to the unique feelings and needs the other person is experiencing in that very moment. An
empathic person will listen hard to others and do all he can to grasp their emotional state and needs.
When it comes to listening, it is quite important to look and grasp even the non verbal cues that will
enable us to truly understand other person s emotional state of mind. It indirectly initiates an
introspection to question our own thoughts, beliefs and actions. This will enable us to take steps
towards building better

Cottage 40 Diary Essay
Diary of...a Cleaner Outer Spring cleaning arrived even earlier at Cottage 40 than spring this year. In
early February, I was noticed the pungent odor of the Buck Hill delivered hardwood ablaze in my
fireplace. Problem was, I was in my basement. There is no fireplace in my basement. Given that
Cottage 40 in its first incarnation burned to the ground, the house has bad fire juju. Before calling 911,
I decided to cajole my personal architectural advisor and neighbor, Jean McCoubrey, into taking a
walk down the stairs to take a whiff. Try checking the cleanout, she suggested. I wasn t quite sure
what a cleanout was (except as it pertained to a quinquennial procedure advised for individuals of a
certain age), but I deduced Jean was referring to what lay behind a two foot square cast iron door on
the wall of the basement, directly below the fireplace, about a foot off floor level. Access requires ...

perfect solution: a two foot shower curtain rod which twisted to extend further once inside the
opening. I poked, ash fell, I shoveled. I elongated the rod and poked again. Lather, rinse, repeat. I was
now extending the shower curtain rod slash impacted ash breaker upper up the hole five feet. Just as I

Inventions In Ray Bradbury s The Flying Machine
In Ray Bradbury s The Flying Machine, Bradbury claims that inventions can be helpful and harmful.
There are several details that support his theme. First, when Emperor Yuan is presenting his invention
to the wing inventor, he states, I have made birds sing, I have made forests murmur, I have set people
to walking in this woodland, enjoying the leaves and shadows and songs. He clearly explains what he
has done with his invention, as he wants the wing inventor to explain about the flying machine. The
Emperor views his invention as a peaceful work of art. He sees nothing wrong in his creation, as he
doesn t fear it could be weaponized. The invention he has made does not promote destruction, like
how he views the flying machine. When Emperor

Comparing A PAnd Greasy Lake
Being a teenager isn t always fun, some might say it s the worst time of their years. There are two
sorts of individuals: people who get experience from another person s imperfections, gaining from
those mistakes, and individuals who gain from their own experience, committing their own errors. The
saying Through torment comes knowledge demonstrates the absence of development in characters of
both stories. The two stories John Updike s A P and T. Coraghessan Boyle s Greasy Lake indicate
great examples of how youngsters become more familiar with their mistakes from their backgrounds.
A P is about a nineteen year old kid working at a basic supply shop who resists the owner attempting
to safeguard and awe the young ladies who are sickeningly dressed. Though Greasy Lake is an
account of a few nineteen year old adolescents who play a trick on a terrible character and experience
what genuine awful characters can do. Both stories A P and Greasy Lake speak to a much bigger
procedure of development from juvenile to adulthood. There are a few clashes in the stories A P and

The Sting
John Dawn II
Professor Hesse
ENGL 101
21 October 2013
The Sting The mind produces thoughts constantly, even when you do not look at them. When you
know what is going on in your mind, you call it consciousness. This is your waking state your
consciousness shifts from sensation, from perception to perception, from idea to idea, in endless
succession. Then comes awareness, the direct insight into the whole of the consciousness, the entirety
of the mind. The mind is like a river, flowing constantly in the bed of the body; you identify yourself
for a moment with some particular ripple and call it: my thought. Awareness is primordial; it is the
original state, endless, uncaused, and without change. There can be no consciousness ... Show more

The extinction of nature leaves us little opportunity to get in direct contact with nature. Luckily, while
growing up at the same house that I am still at now in Corona del Mar is where I got to experience
most of my first direct contacts with nature. Whether it is trying to help my mom garden, catching
snails for a penny each, or observing the natural beauty of the bright colored blossoming flowers, I
immersed myself in nature. Whenever these gorgeous flowers blossomed all the way, I use to walk
straight up to the flower and grasp a part of the stem with my right hand that didn t have to many
thorns. Once I grasped the stem firmly is when I would close my eyes to block off my other senses to
focus solely on the intense smell of the aromatic flower. As I did this, I would draw the flower closer
to my face to inhale that intoxicating amazing smell that all beauty cosmetic companies want to bottle
up for buyers. This was my usual routine how I sniffed flowers as a kid until one day I got a rude
awakening. I was going to smell a flower just like I usually did so I dipped my face straight into one
of these blossoming flowers only to receive a painful unpleasant experience of direct contact with
nature from a bee pollinating the flower that stung my nose. After experiencing this pain, I did what I

132 People In Jail Essay
When jails and prisons are built, like other buildings, they come with an occupancy limit for good
reason. This is for the well being of everyone in the building, but also, should there be an emergency
and the building needs to be evacuated, everyone will be able to get out quickly and safely. If a
building is overcrowded, there is a chance that with there being so many extra people in the building,
that some people might get trampled, or trapped in the building. When it comes to jails, the number of
people allowed to be in them is important because that accounts for the number of beds that are in the
jail, as well as the number of resources in the jail for each person to live seemingly comfortable.
Having an extra 132 people in a jail that was originally built to only hold 332 is very excessive and
cannot be comfortable for anyone in it, nor is it safe for some inmates. Those who suffer from being
mentally ill probably face the most issues with it. Being in jail is already the wrong place for anybody
with a mental illness to be, but to be there and not have any personal space may trigger some people to
act out, especially if that is not something that are used to. Jails are also expected to do more than just
house the individuals who have been sentenced there, they are expected to provide some form of
rehabilitation to the inmates, with hopes that they will not recidivate and return to prison once they
have been released. If there are an excessive amount of extra people

A Research Project On Christ Calls Us Essay
Research Project Christ calls us to make disciples of all nations, whether that is locally or globally.
The problem however is that many Americans especially those aged 16 29 are very hostile/ resistant to
the idea of Christianity. With that being said, rhetorically speaking how could an individual like
myself reach the 16 29 year olds; those in my age group? Before I begin to tackle on that question, I
would like to investigate the notion of how exactly this specific age group is hostile/ resistant to the
idea of Christianity.
According to David Kinnaman President of The Barnia Group, non Christians aged 16 29 years old
when asked What is your current perception of Christianity? 91% said antihomosexual, 87% said
judgemental, 85% said hypocritical, 78% said old fashioned, 75% said too involved in politics, 72%
said out of touch with reality, 70% said insensitive to others. In addition 84% of non Christians who
are friends with Christian, only 15% said that the lifestyle of the Christians is not different from their
own. In identifying, the truth about Non Christians, roughly 80% of non Christians have attended a
church for three months in their life and roughly 50% of non Christians have considered becoming a
Christian. Many however, decided against Christianity due to unfavorable circumstances experienced
within the church.

A Study On Scottish Football Clubs
The focus of this study is on Scottish football clubs that competed in the top two tiers of the league
during the 2014 2015 season, using two club interviews to gain a further insight. It was made clear in
the conclusions of the literature review that the contribution of CSR activities by Scottish football
clubs to the game in Scotland was not clearly understood and so therefore this study contained three
consecutive objectives. These were to:
1. Investigate the CSR measures adopted by Scottish professional football clubs between August 2014
and July 2015, as well as on club websites in July 2016, to distinguish what kind of social and
environmental initiatives have been launched.
2. Evaluate the similarities and differences between ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Additionally, the issue of potential limitations and problems with the chosen strategy will be
discussed, along with any implications this may have had.
Research Strategy
A case study approach was chosen as the research strategy. Yin (2013) describes a case study as:
...an empirical inquiry that investigates a contemporary phenomenon within its real life context,
especially when the boundaries between phenomenon and context are not clearly evident
It is of particular use when the area of investigation is less well developed (Eisenhardt, 1989), using
this methodology allows for multi level analysis to be carried out in terms of this study secondary data
analysis and employee interviews. This research is concerned with an in depth study of the priorities
and motivations behind why Scottish football clubs in particular, participate in CSR activities and will
continue to do so in the future. For example, the review of the literature showed clearly that corporate
social responsibility is an essential aspect of continued added value to a sports team, however it does
not explain how football clubs prioritise their social and/or environmental projects or combat the
theory of sports organisations using CSR for financial gain. Furthermore, the literature review states
that stakeholder theory plays an important part in the decision making processes within football clubs,
yet there is no firm evidence to suggest

Bob Marley Essay
Thesis Statement: Bob Marley s life affected his writing and contributed to the development of his
poetry.
Bob Marley is without a doubt the greatest musician a third world country ever produced. Through
Rastafari ideas, he influenced many others with songs that touched the lives of millions with his
constant message of unity. His wisdom through experience helped him achieve a grand distinction
over other artists.
In the year 1944, Captain Norvol Marley, a middle aged white marine officer, married a young
Jamaican girl named Cedilla Booker. On February 6, 1945 at two thirty in the morning their son,

The band was introduced to Clemet Dodd, a producer of the record company, Coxsone. It was here
where the Wailing Wailers recorded the first song Simmer Down which did quite well in Jamaica. To
help with the recording of their songs the studio provided several talented Ska musicians. The Wailing
Wailers were consisting now of Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Bunny who were starting to become quite
popular locally. Their audiences rapidly grew and they recorded several more songs on the Coxsone
label, which included It Hurts To Be Alone and Rule the Roadie . Bob soon took on the role of the
leader, being the main songwriter.
The next day after his marriage Bob left for the United States to visit his mother who lived in
Delaware. While in North America he worked to better finance his music and soon returned home.
When Bob Marley returned the Wailing Wailers music evolved from Ska to Rock Steady. This
evolution conflicted with Coxsone who wanted a Sim band. So the new Wailing Wailers left Coxsone
to form and renamed themselves the Wailers.
Instead of looking around for a new label the Wailers decided to form their own which they called
Wail n Soul. They released a couple singles on their label such as Bend Down Low and Mellow Mood
before Wail n Soul folded the very same year. The ending of their label affected the band greatly; it
wasn t until they met Lee Perry that they got back on track. With the help of Lee

The Pros And Cons Of The Ebola
Global cooperation as the name would suggest is an engagement by several organizations whether
government or non governmental or between nations who come together, pulling resources, human
capital etc. in order to achieve a stipulated goal or goals. However, as opposed to several opinions,
that an effective global cooperation is almost impossible or most times very complex to establish and
maintain; this can be due to conflicting interests, hence, most times inefficient. The Ebola outbreak in
2014 had proven otherwise. The 2014 Ebola outbreak surpassed that of the previous years; it affected
mostly West Africa and most especially Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone, but eventually found its
way to certain countries in the west (U.S, U.K, and Italy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since year 2000, there have been several international collaborative efforts which has given rise to the
establishment of Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization, Pandemic Influenza Framework
Preparedness etc. The WHO was instrumental and contributed significantly in the fight against Ebola.
The WHO was instrumental in identifying the virus as earlier speculations were wrong. This was due
to that the symptoms are similar to other diseases and most developing nations lack the medical
resources used in carrying out the tests. WHO alongside its collaborating partner Institute Pasteur in
Lyon, France carried out the tests. The organization set up objectives and frameworks in order to curb
the spread of the epidemic. One of the measures taken was the prevention of mass gatherings like
burials. For instance, a burial ceremony held in Sierra Leone resulted in about 345 secondary cases.
By 2015, WHO through its successful coordination of international partnerships were able to provide
assistance to 800 community hospitals by providing 2000 medical staffs, establishing 23 collaborative
centers, 900 epidemiologists, training 4000 health workers, provision of about 1.5 million protective
equipments, and implementing the preparedness plans in 15 countries. In addition to that, WHO push
towards raising an estimate of US$ 490 million. Medecins Sans Frontier were among the first to raise

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Auto Funds
Auto fund has turned out to be huge business. An enormous number of new and utilized auto
purchasers as a part of the UK are making their vehicle buy on fund or something to that affect. It may
be as a bank advance, account from the dealership, renting, charge card, the trusty Bank of Mum and
Dad , or bunch different types of fund, yet generally few individuals really purchase an auto with their
own particular money any longer.
An era prior, a private auto purchaser with, say, Ā£8,000 money to spend would as a rule have
purchased an auto up to the estimation of Ā£8,000. Today, that same Ā£8,000 will probably be utilized as
a store on an auto which could be worth numerous several thousands, trailed by up to five years of

merchant will attempt and push you towards a PCP over a HP since it will probably be better for them.
Like the HP above, you pay a store and have regularly scheduled installments over a term. In any case,
the regularly scheduled installments are lower and/or the term is shorter (generally a maximum. of 48
months), since you are not paying off the entire auto. Toward the end of the term, there is still a huge
lump of the fund unpaid. This is normally called a GMFV (Guaranteed Minimum Future Value). The

More Than Mere Trifles
During the Middle Ages, the English church s suggestions were spoken by God s own voice. The
Church encouraged pilgrimages to various holy places, or shrines, to search for spiritual
enlightenment and penitence from sin. This ideology says that if one were to pray at a shrine, one
could be forgiven of one s sins, thus increasing the chance of going to Heaven after an earthly death.
Those suffering from a plethora of aliments and other illnesses might also make a pilgrimage in the
hope of being healed of it. For whatever their reason, pilgrims made their way to the various shrines;
they were influenced, in part, by furthering their faith through religious relics. Pilgrims sought out
relics and saw these pieces of material as much more than ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His wallet lay before him on his lap, / Brimful of pardons come from Rome, all hot, says Chaucer in
The Canterbury Tales. The Pardoner s Tale goes on to say that he even demonstrates the audacity to
sell mock relics to poor up country parsons, who happen to be clergymen. The Pardoner prays on
people s need for a belief in God, a heaven, atonement, forgiveness a belief in something, anything.
The Pardoner feeds off others insecurities and grows stronger in his businesses practice through the
mockery of religious pilgrimages. Because of the popularity of pilgrimages, King Henry VIII made an
inquiry about the nature of pilgrimages in 1535. Once Henry read the dispositions made by his
research team, the king made the decision to close over 300 monasteries across the land. Among the
results of this decision was the selling of the land formerly held by the monasteries to smaller farmers.
This effect of King Henry VIII s choice made the decision a popular one among his constituency.
Shortly after Henry s curiosity about the pilgrimages began, he focused particularly on religious
shrines throughout England. Until that point, many flocked to religious shrines for the reason of
religious fulfillment. Pilgrims who were financially well off more often than not gave expensive

Teachers are required to teach reading and comprehension skills to students and help them be able to

One reason that the reader may have a problem with content text is that the material is written on a
higher reading level then the intended reader. As a result the writers have tried to simplify the
terminology and shortened the sentences. They did not take into consideration factors that inherent in
the reader such motivation, reading ability and interest. There is one human factor that has the most
influence on comprehension and that is schemata. Comprehension of the material is being determined
by the knowledge that the reader brings to the selection. The more schemata the reader has for the
topic the more they will understand the topic. Content materials especially in the area of social studies
seek to develop many concepts; students often do not have the framework to attach new knowledge.
Students must have an understanding of the concepts in order to comprehend the material they are
reading.
In chapter two of the dissertation Pearson explains how the research and literature that relate to the
relationship of advance organizers to reading comprehension. He discusses the history of the study of
reading comprehension and advance organizers. The schema theory is discussed as it relates to the
study of advance organizers. Before 1970 reading comprehension was viewed as a process solely
activated by the text itself. The views on reading

Father And Son Relationship In Crossing By Mark Slouka
It s normal for fathers and sons that they go out for hunting, fishing or to fight against the nature to
show the mothers that they can do anything. It s even normal that fathers and sons show their skills to
prove something. In this essay Crossing , by Mark Slouka we hear about a father and son relationship
and a trip in the nature to bring the father and son closer to each other.
The text is about a man who is divorced. The man is going through a hard time. The man is going out
with his son to get a better relationship with him and also to come closer to his son. The father takes
his to a place where the man when he was a kid was with his father. The man had good experiences

Information And Communication Technologies ( Ict ) Essay
Introduction
In this era of technology, there is a general agreement that Information and Communication
Technologies (ICT) have been contributing to improve qualities of life, as well as economical growth
as a whole. Businesses and economic sectors are relying on technological advancements that facilitate
them to establish an integrated value chain. Using these advancements strategically and appropriately
can also enhance productivity and improved competitiveness. Likewise, governments and global aid
organizations have seen these advancements as essential instruments for national integration since
they are capable of empowering more prominent access to wellbeing and educational services, and
developing economical opportunities to open doors for underprivileged communities. Despite of all
the advancements of Information and Communication Technologies, the phenomenon known as the
Digital Divide has left a significant number of individuals, communities and even businesses divided
into two separate categories. The Digital Divide is typically described as the division between the
individuals and communities with access to information technologies and those without it. The fact
that the uses of computer, Internet and other technological means have significantly filtered its way
into modern economy through employment and commerce, the inability to gain access or operate the
technologies is an effective challenge created by the Digital Divide for the people without such

Analysis Of The Poem Death Of Santa Claus
We all believe in the tooth fairy, the boogeyman, and Santa Claus when we re little. Well, for me it
was a family of ghosts with the skin color of blue and blood dripping down their mouths and if they
get me, they eat me. The children ghosts eat more than the adults; therefore, they are the scarier.
Another of my worst childhood experiences was with Dokkaebi, or goblins. My mother carved melons
into claws and feet and boiled them saying they were goblins. I was scarred for life at the age of four.
The Death of Santa Claus by Charles Webb is a poem about a not so Jolly Santa and his not so merry
band suffering because of a nonbeliever and a boy in Texas is talking to his mom about how stupid
kids at school say Santa s a big fake. In this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This poem reminds me of a kid I met when I was little. Since believing in Santa Claus is an American
tradition and I m the first generation Korean American in my family, we don t follow/ celebrate
holidays in America so I knew Santa was a fake (I also don t celebrate Christmas because I am
agnostic). I met this boy when we were in third grade and he was talking about leprechauns. Yes,
leprechauns. I didn t even know what a leprechaun was back then. He said his mother and little
brother captured one and forced it to give the location of where it hid the gold. Well, my other fellow
classmates laughed at him and said leprechauns are not real and then they asked the boy if he believed
in Santa. The boy said yes and the classmates said to him, Santa s not real dummy. Eventually the boy
refused the fact Santa was a fake and he started bawling. My third grade teacher, Mrs. Gamper, had to
comfort him. I was wondering, isn t it cruel of adults to make their kids think these fairytale creatures
who make miracles, are actually real? They eventually have to say to their kid, I m sorry I lied to you
for all these years. I think these stories are actually making a child s trust and happiness drop because
one, they re parents lied to them; two,

Question 1: Consumer Theory 1.1: In both the Marshallian and Hicksian consumer optimisation
problems, it is assumed that consumers are supposed to be rational. The main focus of these problems
are cost minimisation and utility maximisation, which play a huge part in consumer demand, but in
real life, these are not the only problems that are considered. Also, it is assumed that every consumer s
indifference curve for two goods would be the same they are very generalised models, and do not take
into account other factors. For example, not many consumers would spend their entire budget on said
goods one thing to consider would be a consumer s marginal propensity to consume and save. Though

As the insurer doesn t know which agents are high risk or low risk, the company will not offer
different types of full insurance to match risk types, as high risk agents will prefer contracts that are
designed for low risk agents. To solve this, the insurer will offer low risk agents less insurance this
ensures that high risk types do not have the incentive to choose a contract for low risk customers, as
they will want more insurance, because they know they will need to claim more. This ensures that the
insurance company maintains non negative profit, as high risk individuals cost more to insure.
However, these solutions carry agency costs, because the result is less efficient than if symmetric
information was present. I believe that risk neutrality of an insurance company is a sufficient condition
for insurance to take place. Insurance companies are risk neutral to maximise expected profits,
therefore as the principal, will design contracts to achieve this, as well as making certain that the agent
picks the desired effort (i.e to prevent a bad state of the world) for that contract, and to make sure that
the agent even picks the contract in the first place. Making sure incentives are compatible, and
ensuring participation by the correct risk types, are constraints on maximising expected profits. If an
insurance company was risk averse, without the availability of symmetric information, they cannot

Falling Back By Jamie Fader
Jamie Fader s book Falling Back which was published in 2013, is based on ethnographic research over
three years, from 2004 to 2007, of black and latino males on the edge of adulthood and that were
incarcerated at the Mountain Ridge Academy reform school located in a rural area: within a dense
forest in western Pennsylvania, is Mountian Ridge Academy ... ninety acre campus contains eight
dormitories, each of which houses thirty two young men between ages 14 to 18 (p.1). The criminal
thinking approach was intended to help young people identify the patterns that had led them to
delinquency and replace it with corrective and prosocial thoughts. These young boys had been
involved in drug offenses and violence within their suburban communities and were now in the
process of behavioral change in order to help them reflect and be able to make better decisions which
would lead them to a better life. Fader observed these juveniles as they transitioned back to urban
Philadelphia where they would resume their daily lives and also struggle to adopt adult masculine
roles: After these young men demonstrated sufficient change to earn their release or, more typically
staff members determined that they had changed as much as they were likely to, they faced a new
transition as they returned to their homes and communities in Philadelphia (p.3). Fader s ethnographic
approach allowed her to portray the complexities of decision making as these young men wanted to
fall back . This meant to

This paper will explain what every woman, teenager, and parent who has female daughter s needs to
know about endometrial cancer. It is important for women to educate themselves about this common
disease, but it is also important for parents. If you have abnormal vaginal bleeding that is not related to

The endometrium is the lining of the uterus, a hollow, muscular organ in a woman s pelvis. The uterus
is where a fetus grows. In most non pregnant women, the uterus is about 3 inches long. The lower,
narrow end of the uterus is the cervix, which leads to the vagina . (www.cancer.gov 2017)
One of the risk factors for endometrial cancer is obesity. These women who are heavier they carry
more fat cells than someone who is not obese. Because there has been such a rise in obesity, this now
affects children and teens. There seem to be more cases in younger women today. Other risk factors
are the use of Tamoxifen. This is a drug that is used to treat breast cancer, and while tamoxifen is for
breast cancer it hinders the endometrium. It can cause cancer cells in the lining of the wall to grow,
therefore causing endometrium cancer.
Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome (pcos) is another risk factor. PCOS happens when little cysts continue
to grow on the ovaries and, filling with fluid and causing pain. PCOS is an imbalance in a woman s
hormones; it causes the excess of progesterone, estrogen, and can cause

Introduction According to Wallace et.al, (2016) human resource planning is the process of identification and documentation demonstrated by project roles, responsibilities, skills required, to report on the relationship, and create staffing plan s members of the project. • 4. Apathy To Empathy Moving from Apathy to Empathy Apathy in general, is defined as: indifference, lack of interest, or concern for others. More specifically, the dis ability to identify with others or feel their pain is the primary nature of those who are strong on apathy. Empathy, in contrast, is defined as having compassion and sympathy towards others to the extent of being able to relate with them and their pains. Empathy is, also the ability to understand or feel what the other person is experiencing or going through. It is the ability to step into the shoes of another person, with the aim to understand their feelings and perspectives, and then to use that understanding to guide our actions. That differentiates it from kindness or pity. Additionally, empathy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We all usually have assumptions about others. That prevents us from appreciating their individuality. We need to shelve our assumptions and accept the differences. Thirdly, we can expand our empathy by gaining direct experience of other people s lives, putting into practice the proverb: Walk a mile in another man s shoes, before you criticise him . There are two more traits required for being an empathic person. One of them is, to master the art of listening. It is essential, that we have the ability to listen to what is really going on within the other person, and to the unique feelings and needs the other person is experiencing in that very moment. An empathic person will listen hard to others and do all he can to grasp their emotional state and needs. When it comes to listening, it is quite important to look and grasp even the non verbal cues that will enable us to truly understand other person s emotional state of mind. It indirectly initiates an introspection to question our own thoughts, beliefs and actions. This will enable us to take steps towards building better ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. Cottage 40 Diary Essay Diary of...a Cleaner Outer Spring cleaning arrived even earlier at Cottage 40 than spring this year. In early February, I was noticed the pungent odor of the Buck Hill delivered hardwood ablaze in my fireplace. Problem was, I was in my basement. There is no fireplace in my basement. Given that Cottage 40 in its first incarnation burned to the ground, the house has bad fire juju. Before calling 911, I decided to cajole my personal architectural advisor and neighbor, Jean McCoubrey, into taking a walk down the stairs to take a whiff. Try checking the cleanout, she suggested. I wasn t quite sure what a cleanout was (except as it pertained to a quinquennial procedure advised for individuals of a certain age), but I deduced Jean was referring to what lay behind a two foot square cast iron door on the wall of the basement, directly below the fireplace, about a foot off floor level. I was now reduced to Target and TJ Maxx bags. Happily, I found the perfect solution: a two foot shower curtain rod which twisted to extend further once inside the opening. I poked, ash fell, I shoveled. I elongated the rod and poked again. Lather, rinse, repeat. I was now extending the shower curtain rod slash impacted ash breaker upper up the hole five feet. There are several details that support his theme. First, when Emperor Yuan is presenting his invention to the wing inventor, he states, I have made birds sing, I have made forests murmur, I have set people to walking in this woodland, enjoying the leaves and shadows and songs. He clearly explains what he has done with his invention, as he wants the wing inventor to explain about the flying machine. The Emperor views his invention as a peaceful work of art. He sees nothing wrong in his creation, as he doesn t fear it could be weaponized. The invention he has made does not promote destruction, like how he views the flying machine. When Emperor ... Then comes awareness, the direct insight into the whole of the consciousness, the entirety of the mind. Whenever these gorgeous flowers blossomed all the way, I use to walk straight up to the flower and grasp a part of the stem with my right hand that didn t have to many thorns. Once I grasped the stem firmly is when I would close my eyes to block off my other senses to focus solely on the intense smell of the aromatic flower. As I did this, I would draw the flower closer to my face to inhale that intoxicating amazing smell that all beauty cosmetic companies want to bottle up for buyers. This was my usual routine how I sniffed flowers as a kid until one day I got a rude awakening. I was going to smell a flower just like I usually did so I dipped my face straight into one of these blossoming flowers only to receive a painful unpleasant experience of direct contact with nature from a bee pollinating the flower that stung my nose. • 12. 132 People In Jail Essay When jails and prisons are built, like other buildings, they come with an occupancy limit for good reason. This is for the well being of everyone in the building, but also, should there be an emergency and the building needs to be evacuated, everyone will be able to get out quickly and safely. If a building is overcrowded, there is a chance that with there being so many extra people in the building, that some people might get trampled, or trapped in the building. When it comes to jails, the number of people allowed to be in them is important because that accounts for the number of beds that are in the jail, as well as the number of resources in the jail for each person to live seemingly comfortable. Having an extra 132 people in a jail that was originally built to only hold 332 is very excessive and cannot be comfortable for anyone in it, nor is it safe for some inmates. Those who suffer from being mentally ill probably face the most issues with it. Being in jail is already the wrong place for anybody with a mental illness to be, but to be there and not have any personal space may trigger some people to act out, especially if that is not something that are used to. Jails are also expected to do more than just house the individuals who have been sentenced there, they are expected to provide some form of rehabilitation to the inmates, with hopes that they will not recidivate and return to prison once they have been released. With that being said, rhetorically speaking how could an individual like myself reach the 16 29 year olds; those in my age group? Before I begin to tackle on that question, I would like to investigate the notion of how exactly this specific age group is hostile/ resistant to the idea of Christianity. According to David Kinnaman President of The Barnia Group, non Christians aged 16 29 years old when asked What is your current perception of Christianity? 91% said antihomosexual, 87% said judgemental, 85% said hypocritical, 78% said old fashioned, 75% said too involved in politics, 72% said out of touch with reality, 70% said insensitive to others. In addition 84% of non Christians who are friends with Christian, only 15% said that the lifestyle of the Christians is not different from their own. In identifying, the truth about Non Christians, roughly 80% of non Christians have attended a church for three months in their life and roughly 50% of non Christians have considered becoming a Christian. Yin (2013) describes a case study as: ...an empirical inquiry that investigates a contemporary phenomenon within its real life context, especially when the boundaries between phenomenon and context are not clearly evident It is of particular use when the area of investigation is less well developed (Eisenhardt, 1989), using this methodology allows for multi level analysis to be carried out in terms of this study secondary data analysis and employee interviews. As the insurer doesn t know which agents are high risk or low risk, the company will not offer different types of full insurance to match risk types, as high risk agents will prefer contracts that are designed for low risk agents. To solve this, the insurer will offer low risk agents less insurance this ensures that high risk types do not have the incentive to choose a contract for low risk customers, as they will want more insurance, because they know they will need to claim more. This ensures that the insurance company maintains non negative profit, as high risk individuals cost more to insure. However, these solutions carry agency costs, because the result is less efficient than if symmetric information was present. I believe that risk neutrality of an insurance company is a sufficient condition for insurance to take place. Insurance companies are risk neutral to maximise expected profits, therefore as the principal, will design contracts to achieve this, as well as making certain that the agent picks the desired effort (i.e to prevent a bad state of the world) for that contract, and to make sure that the agent even picks the contract in the first place.
