Business Financing For Small Businesses Essay
Small Business Loans
Starting a business requires capital so as to run and steer the business to profitability. There are many
sources of financing tailored to meet the needs of start ups and small businesses. Business financing
usually varies depending on factors such as source of funds and the size and type of business. The
process of securing funds can also be problematic for most start ups and small business because of the
unwillingness of most traditional banks to provide funds to small borrowers. Here are some of the
main non banking financing options for startups and small businesses:
Venture capitalists most venture capitalists are focused on specific growth industries. For this reason,
small businesses that are making money can tap into this form of financing to expand their businesses
into the next phase of growth. Besides capital financing, venture capitalist also provide crucial
business insights and leads to business owners. For example, a business owner can be advised if the
product or service he or she wants to sell will be a success or failure. Most venture capitalist who lend
money to small businesses offer short term to mid term borrowing of between 3 to 5 years.
Grants startups that are keen on research can apply for grants from governments and willing investors.
However, grant recipients must meet all the laid down developmental and research goals. In most
cases, the ideas advanced by such entities must be viable to move to the next phase of

Disadvantages Of Intercultural Communication
1. Introduction
Languages, behaviour patterns and the values cause the differences in all the existing cultures in the
world. People have different ways to communicate with each other and how to react to information.
Especially for the international business, multinational communication is essential. Understanding the
many types of communication, is a subject of importance to act successful as a global player.
Furthermore, there are great benefits through intercultural communication like:
Healthier communities: Regardless the origin, religion or culture, people work together for the same
aim.
Increased commerce: Successful intercultural communication has a high effect on the international
economics. In the year 2012 the U.S. earned $3 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Privacy is very rare and people do not really express their disappointment, joy or feelings. However,
there are following characteristics for Indians: family orientation, honour of both family and group,
material susses and creativity, problem solving, risk takers and experimenters, loyalty to a group,
arranged marriages, do it yourself mentality, fatalism and savy at business. Indians communication
style is high context oriented. Elderly people are always threatened with respect, talking to them
presupposes using formal and respectful forms. Indians use communication to tighten up their
relationships and to preserve harmony but not to exchange information. Additionally Indians are
extrovert, talkative, emotional, unpunctual and they mix professional and family affairs. On the whole
Indians prefer to be a member of a group and acting collectively. This is a result of the hierarchical
system in India. Indians have several rules when it is allowed for them to speak, e.g. they are allowed
to speak, if someone before began to speak with them, it is inapplicable to show emotions verbal or
non verbal in public, they should not ask direct questions to somebody they do not know well.
Furthermore, it is disrespectful to interrupt a person, they have to wait until the person gives a sign.
Actually, it is desired to be silent, if a person is angry, upset or out of control, until the person settled
down. Actually, it is desired to be silent, if a person is angry, upset or out of control, until the person
settled down. Another fact why non verbal misunderstanding could occur is, that Indians do not use
the politeness formula, which is normal for Europeans, e.g. they do not use greetings, valedictions or
expressions of gratitude. Indians show their gratefulness and thankfulness on other

Pantheon Vs Parthenon
This essay will be about two structures that were built by two different cultures. One was built in
Greece and the other was built in Rome. Both structure have the classical style of architecture but
were built in two different time periods. Both started out with the same function. One of the two
structures are no longer standing in all its glory and the other is still standing and being used today.
The building of the Parthenon was started in 447 BC at a time when the Athenian Empire was at the
height of its power. The temple continued until 432 BC.
The Parthenon s columns were of the Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian Order. The temple was dedicated to
the goddess Athena Pallas or Parthenos (virgin). The temple was triangular and had only two rooms. ...

The Pantheon is the best preserved building from ancient Rome. http://www.ancient.eu/Pantheon/
Archeological excavations have shown that the Pantheon, Rome had been destroyed, except for the
façade, not once but twice before it was completed.
The Pantheon, Rome has large granite Corinthian columns. The section of the building behind the
façade is round. It was originally faced with white marble stucco but is now brick and concrete. It has
a large circular domed cella with an oculus in the center to provide a natural source of light, as well as
serving as a cooling and ventilation method. The dome originally had a bronze ceiling, but in 1626 CE
Pope Urban VIII removed all of the bronze and had it melted and recast into 80 canons for the city s
Castel Sant Angelo.
Unlike the Greek temple Parthenon, the Pantheon, Rome s interior was deliberately made to outshine
the exterior of the building. This building has seven alcoves. Three of which are semi circular and four
rectangular. As noted earlier, the Parthenon only had two rectangular rooms.
Relatively early in its history, 608 CE, the building was converted into the Church of St. Mary of the

Asda’s Recruitment Process
ASDA s Recruitment Process 1. Job Creation Strategy Achievements At ASDA we recruit colleagues
on the basis of their attitude and personality rather than qualifications and skills. We then train our
successful candidates to develop their skills. The recruitment process normally starts 20 weeks prior to
a new store opening. The new store s People Service Manager works with the ASDA head office
Resourcing Team to recruit local people. At this point we engage with Jobcentre Plus and set up a
Local Employment Partnership (LEP). Since 2008, we have employed over 6,900 colleagues through

Running Away Research Paper
When the moment comes when you realize that your teenage son or daughter is missing and you
believe he or she has run away from home, it can be intense. You may panic and experience a variety
of thoughts and emotions about your child s safety and wonder what you should do next. There are
concrete steps you can take to find your child s whereabouts. The following are among the most
important. Contact those who know your child Obviously this includes friends of your child, but you
also want to speak to parents of your child s friends as well. If your teenager has a job, you should
contact them and also the school they attend. The idea is to determine who was the last known person
to speak or see your child before they went missing. You also ... Show more content on

The amount of clothes they took will be a clue as to how long your teenager plans to be gone. It is
common for teens to runaway for a short time, but plan to return quickly. There may be items that they
left behind that have great meaning to them, and this may indicate that their running away was a
decision done on impulse, so they may not be gone for too long. Contact the police All of the
information you have gathered from your child s friends, their job and school can be given to the
police. You will also need to provide a recent photograph of your teenager to the police, so have this
ready. Even if you think your child will be back in the next day or two, if your teenager is a minor, you
must contact the police. You could be wrong, and their assistance can be invaluable in getting your
teenage back. Use the services of a private investigator The police have a heavy case load when it
comes to runaway teenagers, so the time they put into finding your teenage son or daughter is going to
be limited. The best course of action is to call a private investigator, and the sooner you do this, the
better the chances are that your teenager will be found. The trail will still be warm. Unlike the police,
we are not involved in finding criminals. We are focused on a more narrow range of services, and
locating people is one of them. If your teenager has runaway from home, there is a very good chance

Bowen Family Therapy Essay
Introduction
Murray Bowen was born in 1913 in Tennessee and died in 1990. He was the oldest child in a large
cohesive family. He trained as a psychiatrist and originally practiced within the psychoanalytic model.
In his practice he involved mothers in the investigation of schizophrenic patients. He thought that the
cause of schizophrenia begun in mother child symbiosis which created an anxious and unhealthy
attachment. His devotion to his own psychoanalytic training was set aside after his move to the
National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) in 1954 as he begun to shift from an individual focus to
an appreciation of the dimensions of families as systems. He began to include more family members
in his research and psychotherapy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Differentiation of Self Rabstejnek (2010) explains that differentiation and its antithesis fusion are
Bowen s terms to describe the extent to which people are able to separate their emotional and
intellectual spheres. Highly fused people function automatically and respond emotionally to the life
situations. Highly differentiated people on the other hand are people who have an autonomous
intellectual system that can keep control over their emotional system (Nichols Schwartz, 2004. p.123).
Nichols and Schwartz (2004) explain that when thoughts and feelings are not distinguished, fusion
occurs. Undifferentiated people tend to react emotionally and when interacting with other people, can
be submissive or defiant. They also find it difficult to maintain their own autonomy especially around
anxious issues. Instead of saying what they think, they say what they feel and instead of saying what
they believe, they echo what they have heard. Bowen as (cited in Nichols and Schwartz, 2004)
describes a differentiated self as solid self, and fused self he calls the pseudo self. The less developed a
person s self, the more impact others have on his functioning and the more he tries to control, actively
or passively, the functioning of others. The basic building blocks of a self are inborn, but an individual

Dr. Louis Leaky s The Mountain Gorillas
Doctor Dian Fossey was an American primatologist who chose to dedicate two decades of her life
studying the mountain gorillas of the Virunga Mountains in East Africa. She chose to report her study
of the mountain gorillas in the form of a book called Gorillas in the Mist. It portrays the adventure,
struggles, and realizations Dian Fossey experienced in her efforts to understanding the Mountain
Gorillas lifestyle. When on a six week long safari in Africa, Fossey was introduced to Dr. Louis Leaky
who emphasized to her the importance of conducting a long term field study with great apes. Once
returned home Dr. Leaky convinced Fossey to become the gorilla girl and carry out a funded long
term field study of mountain gorillas (Fossey, 1983). Although at first Fossey s goal was simply to
collect data, she was able to gain the trust of the Mountain Gorillas and in turn teach the scientific
community and the general population new information on gorilla s individualism and social structure.
Fossey dismantled previous stereotypes of gorillas being vicious beasts and instead preached of their
playful and gentle personalities. This encouraged primatologist to work towards conservation research
for the great apes along with pushing the field to focus on studying the apes for their own culture, not
just for human evolutionary interests. The means in which Dian Fossey formatted Gorillas in the Mist
is clearly so that it is an easily readable piece that can be understood by a wide

But certainly, some places are better for certain approaches as others.
A honeypot can be used on the Internet as well as the intranet, based on the needed service. Placing a
honeypot on the intranet can be useful if the detection of some bad guys inside a private network is
wished. It is especially important to set the internal thrust for a honeypot as low as possible as this
system could be compromised, probably without immediate knowledge.
Honey Pots can be setup inside, outside or in the DMZ of a firewall design or even in all of the
locations although they are most often deployed inside of a firewall for control purposes. In a sense,
they are variants of standard Intruder Detection Systems (IDS) but with more of a focus on
information gathering and deception. If the main concern is the Internet, a honeypot can be placed at
two locations:
In front of the firewall (Internet)
DMZ
Behind the firewall (intranet) Each approach has its advantages as well as disadvantages. Sometimes it
is even impossible to choose freely as placing a server in front of a firewall is simply not possible or

Achilles Villain
There is a fine line between a villain and hero. Not only are deeds taken into consideration, but actions
as well. Much like real life, it is never easy knowing who plays what role until the final moments of
their life. But is it fair to just take the bad moments and use them against a person? Does not the
means justify the end? Achilles had a struggle within himself as well as externally with Agamemnon.
Achilles had to decide whether he should be taken advantage of to help his city or go against his
principles to save his pride. During Achilles time, the Greeks considered him a hero due to his birth as
a demigod. He was the son of the nymph Thetis and the mortal Peleus. When Achilles was nine years
old, Calchas told him about a prophecy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His departure was not a sign of cowardice. He was trying to prove a point to Agamemnon that his
taking Briseis, Achilles war prize, was dishonorable and insulting. The battle that they had fought in
which he had taken her captive had already proven his prowess as a warrior, and because he wanted it
known that he was the greatest of the Achaean warriors and they could not triumph without him. Troy
could not fall without the help of Achilles, as prophesied by Calchas.Achilles had to make a tough
decision prior to just letting them walk into their own deaths. Agamemnon demanded that Achilles
bride and war prize Briseis be given to him. Achilles believed that the demand was unjust and
resembled that of Paris kidnapping Helen. He was in the same position as Menelaos. The argument
between himself and Agamemnon was as righteous as war to Achilles. Even though Agamemnon
offered to return Briseis and other numerous gifts, Achilles stays angry. This does indicate one of
Achilles flaw: excessive pride. Agamemnon may have offered gifts, but none amount to the public
insult that Achilles had suffered. Achilles would rather have his pride restored then have anything in
the world. Agamemnon also has a history of given and taken back gifts resulting in empty

The Autobiography of Malcom X by Alex Haley
The Autobiography of Malcolm X as told by Alex Haley is about a man who forever changed
America. Malcolm X, born Malcolm Little and also known as El Hajj Malik El Shabazz spoke out
against the effects of discrimination, racism and segregation. He went through many different stages in
his life as he fought for equal treatment of colored individuals. The three stages that really changed the
way Malcolm X thought were his experiences while incarcerated, his entering into the religion of
Islam by following Elijah Muhammad, and the biggest turning point in his life, his first and last
pilgrimage to the holy Islamic city of Mecca. In all of Malcolm teachings, in his transformations and
actions we can derive different viewpoints. While Malcolm X was incarcerated he had completed his
first transformation in life. Like many past greats, they all suffered a low point in their lives. Malcolm
X s low point was when he was into the usage of drugs, hustling, and money. He became so focused

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this paper is to document the genetic disease hypertrichosis. Using articles, and web
sources we will outline the history, genetic basis, and different treatments of this genetic disease.
Hypertrichosis literal meaning is excess of hair growth. The elemental genetic defect remains
unknown because there are many factors at work. There is a debate if hypertrichosis is an autosomal
or X linked disease, since there have been documented cases of both. However, there are certain
chromosomal defects that have proven to be present in many patients. Certain diseases and
environmental triggers are known to be associated with hypertrichosis. Although this disease is
nonfatal, it can be embarrassing and unpleasant for the patient. Excess hair can manifest itself on the
hands, face, and body. There are few treatments aside from cosmetic procedures. There remains no
known cure for hypertrichosis.
HISTORY OF HYPERTRICHOSIS
Hypertrichosis is a unique and rare disease of its time, exemplifying characteristics of having
excessive hair growth covering the entire body. Very little is known about this hypertrichosis because
of how scarce it is. The manifestation, and genetic causes vary when it comes to this disease as well.
These factors as well as others have made this

Analysis Of Octavia Butler s Science Fiction Classic
Bloodchild Analysis Octavia Butler s science fiction classic Bloodchild is the coming of age story told
from the point of view of Gan. The story takes place on an alien planet the very night that Gan
becomes a man. One might expect a highly masculine, ritualistic ceremony or event, but Butler turns
the tables. In order to become a man Gan must be impregnated by an insectoid like alien named T
Gatoi. Cages have often been symbolic in literature as a means of subjugation, the cages in Bloodchild
are imperative to the story in the same way. Through the explicit use of imagery, metaphor, prose and
irony, Butler creates a story reflective of the sufferings of American Slavery, of life as an African
American woman and causes the reader to reevaluate the way they treat others. Bloodchild has won
multiple awards including the Nebula and Hugo Awards and an award for best science fiction
novelette from the Science Fiction Chronicle (Heifitz). Butler gains literary notability by creating a
work so horrifyingly believable, that is reflective of slavery and discrimination, it is a powerful story
that pushes the reader to thoughts and ideas that might not have otherwise been explored. Similar to
how some African American slaves accepted their treatment, Gan accepts the cages. The first three
mentions of cages come at the beginning of the tale. T Gatoi enters Gan s home, offering gifts. She
and Gan embrace and Gan notices that this action made the others feel caged (Butler 3).

Essay Chaucers Canterbury Tales
Take any pilgrim whose tale we read and show Chaucer artfully matches the story to the teller.
Of the many stories he writes the tale told by the Wife of Bath is the most verbal and for its time the
most forthright exposition of the role women did not have but could have in that time period. The wife
of Bath s story is fairly general a man is accused of trying to rape a woman and the sentence for this
charge is to be hung. The mean pleads and pleads to be acquitted of his charge so the queen of the
time says he will not be hung if he finds the answer to a certain question. The question is What is it
women most desire. He is given one year and one day to find this answer and until the day before his

The Wife of Bath I see as being more the naïve, idealistic old hag. Another correlation is how sly they
both are and how they like to gossip.
I am pretty positive Chaucer meant for the Old Hag to be related to the Wife of Bath for the different
reasons I have explained. It is still odd how the character made it into Canterbury Tales but interesting
all the same; The Wife of Bath s story best describe whom she herself actually is.
Chaucer s portraits of the clergy and church related position show evidence of a religious system full
of corruption and hypocrisy. Examine in depth 2 or 3 of Chaucer s pilgrim portraits from the prologue,
illustrate or demonstrate how the medieval church was in need of reform.
The late 14th century church almost a disgrace to the meaning and reputation it was supposed to be
upholding. This was not true for all of the church as is true all of Chaucer s characters were not exact
remakes of their real life counterpart. The clergy (Monk and Prioress and Friar) and other church
related affiliates (Summoner and Pardoner) are made out to be corrupting the church. The Friar was a
member of the mendicants, who were a group that traveled from town to town supposedly helping the
poor this was however not what he did. The Summoner and pardoner were both not qualified for the
positions they held and were in a sense stealing money from those that

Leonard Bernstein s West Side Story
Imagine you are a play fanatic in 1957, clutching your ticket, waiting to enter a magnificent theater, to
see the opening of West Side Story. You loved the choreography Jerome Robbins always created, and
watching his pervious plays, Peter Pan, Fiddler on the Roof, and Gypsy .You could not be more
thrilled to see the musical West Side Story, which he choreographed and directed. Leonard Bernstein
has grown to become one of you favorite composers, and you can barely contain your anticipation to

The plot line for the musical was similar to the storyline of Romeo and Juliet. West Side Story was a
tragic romance about two protagonist lovers from opposing gangs, the Puerto Rican Sharks and the
White American Jets. The protagonists in the musical are Maria, a Shark, and Tony, a Jet; two young
adults who fell in love with one another. The two gangs, let their rivalry and differences constantly get
in the way, whether they are at a dance, on a basketball court, or in a convenient store. At one of their
rumbles, each side ended up murdering the other side s leader. (Tony killed Bernardo, Maria s
brother.) Maria eventually found out and forgave Tony, but asked him to stop future fights from
happening, so they could marry one another. Although information proven false, the Sharks were
alerted that Maria was killed by Chino, also a Shark. Tony eventually found out about the dreadful
news, located Chino, and plead Chino to shoot him. Right as he pulled the trigger, Tony saw Maria,
alive and well. Hysterical, Maria clutched Tony in her arms, and spoke to both sides about their
wrongdoings. The Sharks and Jets banded together, carried Tony s lifeless body offstage, and ended

Donald Marshall Research Paper
On the night of May 28, 1971, Donald Marshall Jr. s life would change completely. The obstacles that
Mr. Marshall will have to face will be life changing experience and a huge eye opener to the rest of the
world. Donald Marshall Jr. served 11 years of his time for a crime he did not commit. In the 20th
century, we did not have the advanced technology to prove if someone was truly guilty like we do
today. A young man named Donald Marshall Jr. is a prime example of this. He was casually walking
in Sydney s Wentworth Park and saw a friend named Sandy Seale. They soon encountered two
mysterious men (Roy Ebsary and Jimmy MacNeil) and shortly later the two man stabbed Seale in the
stomach, leaving her in critical conditions. Marshall was slightly cut, but he was left to look like the
criminal. This was not Marshall s first encounter with the law. At the age of 15, he was expelled from
school for striking a teacher. The law enforcers soon became aware of Marshall from his delinquent ...

Marshall never said he was guilty nor did he commit the crime. A few years past when Marshall

recaptured. Racism played a big part not only in the court but also while in prison. During his time in
prison he never gives in on proving his innocence, by writing multiple letters to politicians allowing
his case to be re opened, but there was no luck. It is very important for everyone to be treated equally
not matter who or where they come from. This could have prevented Marshall from ever stepping foot

Sport as Spectacle of Michael Jordan

such as Debore, Abercrombie amp; Longhurst and Tomlinson I can illustrate how spectacle is
perceived in our mediated society.

Connell (1995) developed this concept to describe how masculinities are always relational and, thus,
one s identity is continually constructed in relation to otherness. Crucially, Connell sees masculinity as
integrally connected with power and constantly negotiated.
(Alexander, 1994) notes that Black bodies displayed for public consumption have been an American
spectacle for centuries. This history moves from public rapes, beatings, and lynching s to the

Globalisation
Globalisation has become a fashionable term used for numerous years amongst humanities and social
sciences. Usage of this term has been driven by an academic fascination with the world as an
increasingly interconnected place, in which localized forms of culture have become increasingly
subject to homogenizing global influences (Maguire, J)
An element of globalisation can be identified by joining with Robertson (1992) in saying that
globalisation refers to the crystallisation of the whole into a whole space.

The September 11th Attacks And Its Impact On The United...
The September 11th attacks became a turning point in the evolution of security systems and models in
the United States. These horrific events also challenged the security status quo around the globe. The
current evidence suggests that the level of planning in the September 11th attacks was truly
unprecedented. The complexity of the activities, systems, resources, and decisions involved eventually
translated into a terrorist attack of enormous scope and magnitude. The September 11th acts of
terrorism set the stage for reconsidering the effectiveness of all airport security methodologies and
techniques. The concern continues to be whether or not the continued improvements that are needed to
ensure that the measures implemented to boost airport security do not violate the rights of passengers.
For the passengers of the four flights hijacked on September 11, 2001, that day became the end of

without any suspicion, boarded both planes. Their aircraft pushed back from the gates without any

Computer Networks And Its Impact On The Organization s...
Computer networks allow for employees within an organization to share files and exchange ideas
more efficiently. Also, computer networks make it easier to back up all the company s data on an
offsite server. Computer networking supports business operations and contributes immensely to
globalization. Therefore, organizations invest heavily in computer networks ensuring they work
efficiently. This paper discusses ten points to consider when evaluating a computer network. These
evaluation points explore the network s: security, data rate, network upgrade tolerance, device
interfacing, internet connections, application performance, network services, wireless connectivity,
and its cost.

Data rate analysis
For networks, the data medium is an important component. Given the medium works properly, then
the speed of transferring data (data rate) is good and short of delayed transmission. It is important to
ensure that networks have the right data medium in place. E.g. wired networks mostly utilize Ethernet
cables which can utilize coaxial cable, twisted pair wires or fibre optics. Furthermore, these
technologies come with pros and cons. A differentiator organization might ignore the cost of fibre
optics to gain higher data rates. Conversely, a cost leader might utilize twisted pair wires as they are
the least expensive technology used in networks. The network s performance and data rate is
determined by the data medium hence it has to be analyzed during a network evaluation.(Ramandeep,
2013)
Accommodates company expansion (can be upgraded)
Sometimes, large companies absorb smaller companies to gain several advantages. For example, a
German company acquired the company I work for recently. Hence, the buyout entails reorganization
within the two companies and network upgrades. Also, the coming together of the two companies
creates jobs and the company will be hiring new employees who need access to network resources.
Furthermore, the company s research facility is expanding and new offices will require connectivity.
Thus, evaluating my companies network will require determining whether a network upgrade is

Now days, open source technologies are becoming famous in the global market including corporate
and government sector. A number of domains in software industry are making use of open source
products for multiple applications. NoSQL Databases, Big Data Analytics and web services are on the
top and used in diverse applications.
NoSQL Databases are being used in the social media applications and big data processing based
portals in which huge, heterogeneous and unstructured data formats are handled. NoSQL Databases
are used for faster access of records from the big dataset at back end. The AADHAAR Card
implementation in India was done using NoSQL Databases as huge amount of information is
associated including Text Data, Images, Thumb Impressions and Iris Detection. Any classical database
system cannot handle the dataset of different types (Image, Text, Video, Audio, Video, Thumb
Impressions for Pattern Recognition, Iris Sample) simultaneously.
Currently, a number of NoSQL Databases are used for different type of portals and these are
specialized in handling heterogeneous and unstructured data.
OPEN SOURCE NOSQL DATABASES
In classical web based implementations, the RDBMS packages are deployed for the database
applications including Apache Derby, MySQL, Oracle, IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM Notes,

Chinua Achebe s Things Fall Apart Essay examples
Chinua Achebe s Things Fall Apart
The last chapter of Chinua Achebe s Things Fall Apart concludes with the sentence:
He had already chosen the title of the book, after much thought: The Pacification of the Primitive
Tribes of the Lower Niger.
This refers to the District Commissioner s chosen title for a book he has written that would have the
African people, the Igbo tribe specifically, as the main subject. From the title itself, one can say that
the writer has an unfavorable bias against his subject. But come to think of it, there are many factors
why it would be impossible for the District Commissioner to write an accurate description of the

By using different proverbs, folktales and song that is originally written in the Igbo language, the
author has managed to convey the beauty of his native language to the readers. In the book, the
colonial masters have ridiculed the said language and called them superfluous words , showing no
appreciation at all of the beautiful and expressive language of the Umuofians. They have even come to
the conclusion that their tribe was a primitive one. They have also said that the native customs are bad
and their ceremonies and sacrifices as frivolous . In the Chapter Twenty of the book, there s a
conversation between Okonkwo and Obierika in which the latter rightly stated:
Does the white man understand our custom about land? How can he when he does not speak our
tongue?
The language barrier between the colonists and the colonized enables critical misunderstandings to
take place. The idea of someone vilifying certain customs and traditions in which he is unfamiliar is
very laughable. The District Commissioner was therefore very misguided when he called the Igbo as a
primitive tribe. .His statement contradicts very much with the fact that the Igbo people have their own
complex language and a highly organized mode of living. The concept of being superior to others
always finds a way to get into the picture somehow. Most of the European colonizers

Examples Of Opposition In Anthem By Ayn Rand
Opposition in Society The society in which the characters from Anthem by Ayn Rand live in is one of
little to no opposition. The World Council made rules at their own discretion and the citizens followed
them without question. The big question, though, is why. Why did the citizens mindlessly follow the
rules and restrictions of the World Council? The citizens of this futuristic society followed their
leaders because they were suppressed. They were trained to believe that the World Council was
smarter than them, they were lied to about their jobs and the common good, and anyone who thought
differently was punished. These three things are seen in several places throughout the novel,
highlighting how much the citizens in the futuristic society of Anthem were suppressed in order for
the State to remain in power. In the first chapter of the novel, readers see that, at an early age, the
citizens of the society are taught to think nothing of themselves and more of the World Council.

The Pros And Cons Of Equality In America
Many have died for equality in an effort to wipe out injustice. Claims of equality or lack of access in
America has always been a focus of debates and philosophical discussions. Change must start with
each individual; learning to respect differences will help make America a more tolerant country.
America s progress toward change has been a slow process; the rights of several and the disparaging
treatment of others divide the country and have for centuries. Embracing change is difficult, for a
number of people; it means to oppose traditional beliefs and sacred memories, forgetting the way
things used to be and accepting others, no matter the differences. Equality has two faces, morals and
moral judgment.
For centuries, equality in American has been a topic of discussion, some people feel that in order to
gain equal ground there must be sacrifice, hard work and commitment, and that no one should expect
to be handed an opportunity without having earned it. This is a true statement, except for the fact that
in America, for some, sacrifice is common and there is no equal ground or equality. There are daily
struggles for some with putting food on their table; just trying surviving until the next day without
encountering violence or picture the difficulty most face when looking for a decent education; these
are a few of the issues that plague communities less fortunate than others because of economic and
financial resources.

The Sun King Louis Xiv as the Epitome of Absolute Monarchy
The Idea of an Absolute Monarchy began to spread throughout Europe in the 17th century. Although
absolution eventually occurred throughout Europe, its origins is accredited to France during the reign
of Louis XIV. It was works such as Leviathan by Thomas Hobbes, that advocated an authoritarian
monarchy, that helped the establishment of this movement. In his theory, The war of all against all (
bellum omniun contra omnes) could only be averted by strong centralized government. It was this
desire for centralized power that motivated Louis XIV, making him one of the most influential

Motifs In Creation Myths
In my opinion, 3 of the most common motifs in creation myths are: the creation of humans, step by
step myths, and using parts of a god for a planet. I think these are the few motifs are usually used the
most in the different cultures. Although, these cultures did not know each other or talk they are still
connected by these motifs, along with other things. The creation myths may share some of the same
principles and concepts, but there is also more that they share. These next few paragraphs will explain
why I think that these motifs were used. I will also explain what I think the most used motifs are, and
the cultures that used them.

The Chinese creation myth starts out with an enormous egg containing chaos. The chaos had raged on
the inside of the egg. Yin and Yang, which were swirled together, along with all the other opposites.
Then, the egg burst open and Pan gu jumped out. After coming out of the egg, he then separated yin
and yang and began forming the earth. For about 10,000 years, Pangu grew 10 feet every day, until the
sky came to the point where it was 30,000 miles above ground. When Pan gu had stopped growing, he
then began to hammer out the mountains. Pan gu filled the valley with water to form the great oceans.
He made/created the rivers with his fingers, and he stomped the Earth and dirt down to create flat
land. He had gathered light and, tossed it into the sky so that it could become the stars. After all of
this, Pan gu had grown old and tired (This was about 18,000 years after), he made the world with his
hands; along with forming the basic principles of yin and yang. Pan gu decided to lay down, but once
he laid down, he never rose again. When Pan gu died, his body formed the tallest mountains, his skull

What Are The Effects Of Internment On Japanese Americans
Japanese Americans were effected by internment in multiple ways, both mental and physical. They
were forced to leave their homes and into dehumanizing conditions. They received poor housing and
medical treatment along with little to no education. While they were being relocated to these areas,
they were losing their land and properties. In Ronald Reagan and Redress for Japanese American
Internment, 1983 88 by Timothy Maga, East Coast redress activist and former internee, Grant Ujifusa,
said We did not voluntarily leave our homes, our neighborhoods, and our work. We were outside from
our rights and our property (614 Maga). This internment made Japanese Americans feel as if they
were not really American while they were doing what every other

Music Piracy And Civil Law
Music piracy is an infringement that involve the copying or selling of creative works that which the
copyright owner, composer, or artist did not consent to. Before the invention of newer technology that
allowed for the piracy process to become less difficult, music piracy was much easier to control. With
this new and improved technology of the 21st century, users of the web began adding media files to
the internet, which made all previous difficulties substantially less challenging. It was much easier for
people with little to no knowledge of technology and old piracy methods to gather media files. Piracy
may seem petty, but the effects are major. Not only is it illegal, when music is copied and or shared the
value decreases with each download. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many citizens are unaware that downloading music although free is illegal and others may think of
piracy as a victimless. Individual artists, ranging from celebrity musical acts like Metallica to the stay
at home mothers who sell digital scrapbooking kits in their free time, frequently speak out against
piracy when talking to their fans. Grassroots organizations also work to educate the public about
music property rights through online marketing campaigns. Technology has given the Music
companies a fighting chance in preventing music piracy. Software programs can be created to require
authorization codes or online registration forms that make piracy more difficult because they are only
given with legal copies. For downloadable content, digital rights management systems limit the
number of devices that can play a particular movie or song in order to stop people from sharing
unauthorized copies. Unfortunately, there are still resourceful hackers and people in the piracy
industry that still continue to find ways to get around these measures. Lawsuits may seem like an
obvious way to stop piracy, but legal action is typically a last resort with the widespread use of the
Internet, it is way too time consuming and expensive to track down every web site and person that is
involved in the production and sharing of illegal music files. Piracy laws also vary from country to
country, making enforcement rather

Nelson Mandela Character Analysis
Nyayiel Lok
Director Riveroll
Senior Monday
11 Sep 2017
Success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. The first person I think of is Nelson Mandela.
Mandela s ultimate success had to do with his character and background. Although he was born in a
royal family, grew up in a divided region of South Africa between blacks and whites. He still managed
to maintain a correct mindset to a path leading to success. You can come from a small surrounding and
have a bigger triumph than someone who comes from a lot more, or it s the total opposite. In this case,
it s the fact that coming from a wealthy family who supports you will get you anywhere. Gladwell
argues that having a superior background means that it is much easier to be successful ... Show more

Which brings me to my next point. One s background definitely has an impact on successful people. If
it were a different person with a different background, hence the situation would have turned out
differently. Many people are born already into an easier lifestyle because of the place their family has
already had. Robert Oppenheimer was a smart guy who turned out to be successful with the support of
his family and wealth. Oppenheimer didn t face the lifetime struggles, Lagan has. But he did suffer
from depression and was emotionally unstable, which made sense as to why, Oppenheimer took some
chemicals from the laboratory and tried to poison his tutor (Gladwell 98). The first instance is that any
person is going to go to jail for any crime he or she did, no matter who they are or what reputation
they hold. But for this case, Oppenheimer was taken out the hot seat and was not punished. I believe
he was let out of the situation way too easily and it was odd for them to do. Gladwell here covers
every detail of Oppenheimer s case, making it to the university and how they handled it, Blackett,
luckily, found out that something was amiss. The university was informed. Oppenheimer was called
on the carpet. And what happened next is every bit as unbelievable as the crime itself. Here is how the
incident is described in American Prometheus, Kai Bird and Martin Sherwin s biography of
Oppenheimer: After protracted negotiations, it was

Link Between Autism And Vaccinations
No Link Found between Autism and Vaccinations
The purpose of report is to explore the possible link between the development of Autism or Autism
Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and vaccinations containing thimerosal. Around the world, there is a
debate over the administration of the mumps, measles, and rubella (MMR) vaccination due to the use
of the preserver, Thimerasol. Thimerasol s use is controversial to the fact that the compound contains
the toxic chemical element, mercury (Hg). In 1999, the Center for Disease Control and the American
Academy of Pediatrics pushed the FDA for the removal of mercury from vaccinations administered to
children under the age of six. Although this measure was only of a cautionary nature, it led to many

They state that their subsequent spread into the general population poses concerns for public safety.
They go on to state that they compiled studies that examined the relationship between the MMR
vaccination and the post administration development of Autism or the spectrum disorders. The
information that they extracted consists of the study characteristics, methods, and outcomes. They
finally state that they found no relationship, of any kind.
The first section in the methods section describes the protocol to be followed. In order to find
appropriate studies for the meta analysis, Taylor and Swerdfeger, examined articles from Medline,
Pubmed, Embase, and Google Scholar using the guidelines outlined by the Preferred Reporting Items
for Systematic Review and Analysis (PRISMA) and independently assessed the risk of bias using the
Newcastle Ottawa Scale (NOS). Eslick then reviewed the articles. Following this, Taylor manually
extracted the study design, the country of completion, sample sizes, interventions, outcome measures,
and measures of effect from the articles. All literature had to be published and there was no language
restriction on the studies,
The second section details the eligibility requirements for the analysis. The first criterion of which was
that the publications included cohort and case control studies that looked at the prospective

Fm Rouge Research Paper
Empirically, the Khmer Rouge regime, from its conception in 1975 to its fall in 1979, supremely,
holistically, and irreversibly overthrew Cambodian society. As a hard line communist movement
defined by fundamentalist socialism the Khmer Rouge, under leader Pol Pot, attempted total social
reconstruction and evolution. Envisaging a Cambodia without inequality and equal distribution of
wealth, the Khmer Rouge implemented its aims of isolation and departure from Western capitalism
through oppressive technique; in seeking a better nation, the movement indeed destroyed the
ideological and philosophical integrity of Cambodia s political system, economic structure, and social
fabric.
Primarily, the Khmer Rouge aimed in an economic sense to revitalise the national economy under the

A major aspect of the economic impact of the Khmer Rouge was the widespread establishment of
agricultural cooperatives, or a pointed process of collectivisation, which completely changed the
dynamic of the Cambodian labour force and also the inherent means of production, distribution, and
exchange. The working population was separated into three forces who were assigned to different
aspects of the economy which were all based in advancing agriculture, be it actually producing food or
developing infrastructure to supplement it. All were expected to work 10 12 hour days and labour
conditions were generally subpar with harsh discipline and poor hygiene. In a similar fashion to
achieve economic independence in the communism model the Khmer Rouge abolished all private
ownership, leading to neglected industrial sectors and a sever deterioration in the functionality of the
tertiary industry. The essence of the economic implications of the Khmer Rouge is evident in, again,
Red Brotherhood at War . We are building socialism without a model... there is no money, no
commerce . The economic approach of the Khmer Rouge was fundamentally flawed. Isolation and

Essay Cold Fusion
Cold Fusion: The Continuing Mystery
In March of 1989, a discovery was made that rocked the scientific world. Stanley Pons and Martin
Fleischman had announced that they were able to create and sustain a cold fusion process. After
intense media attention, and corresponding interest in future test, the subject seemed to have faded
away. Future tests proved inconclusive, and when the quick promise of easy energy didn t materialize,
most quickly forgot the subject. Little is said about the continuing research in the scientific
community to further our understanding of the free energy enigma. Is it science fiction, on the border
of legitamete science, or is it a practical field worthy of serious attention?

Cold fusion is only produced three out of ten times under the best conditions, but this is enough to
justify continued research. The first transitors were only successful one out of a hundred times until
the mechanisms were completely understood. The science of the reaction taking place in cold fusion is
still not clear. When pieces of the puzzle begin to fit together better, the success rate will increase, and
yields will go up.
The actual set up of a cold fusion cell is an electrolyte such as hydrogen or deuterium in which a
electrode made of specially treated and prepared steel is immersed. The lattice structure of the metal is
filled with the hydrogen, where the fusion occurs. The problem is most metals fracture when subjected
to these conditions. High loading is the state in which the metal survives, and begins to produce
energy. There are numerous different methods and materials that are used to accomplish this goal. The
original was a Heavy water solution with an electrolyte, in which a current is passed between a
palladium alloy electrode. Several other new methods are in use today but the most promising is the
Ceramic Proton Conductor. In this case, a low current is passed through a strontium cerium oxide in
deuterium atmosphere. The reaction gives off significant excess energy.
Cold fusion differs significantly

Chilean Culture Essay
Due to an average growth rate between 1985 and 1997 was 7.4 percent (Corbo Tessada, 2002, p. 466)
and an opened and globalized economy, emerged a new middle class, with more access to goods and
services, and more consumption power as a consequence of the economic growth but, above all,
because the democratization of the access to credit cards and other financial instruments to join the
market. Hence, the consumption patterns also changed: the Chilean people started to travel abroad,
increased the access to technological devices, as well as goods and services that had never accessed
before. Indeed, consumer expenditure in leisure and recreation increase more than 4,000 percent

Indeed, almost 70 percent of Chileans reports watching aired television with their families and, on
average, they watch 3 hours per day, and more than a half of people declare they watch television at
the same time they are eating, whether at lunch or at dinner time. According to the National Council of
Television (Consejo Nacional de Televisión, CNTV), the access to audiovisual content through
different platforms also increased; thus, Chileans watch audiovisual content online 2.3 hours per day
on average.
Although broadcasting is still an important source of media consumption in Chile, new technologies
had also became increasingly important in Chilean cultural consumption, especially among both the
youngest and the richest. In fact, more than 40 percent of Chileans between 19 and 25 years old from
upper class watch television series or movies online, particularly foreign content.
On the contrary, museums and public library have a relative less weight in Chilean leisure time despite
the fact their consumption had experienced a relative increasing in the last four years. Although the
number of people registered in a public library across the country had increased since 2010, by 2013
they were barely more than 120,000 of

The Big Bang Theory And The Revolution Of A New Generation
The Big Bang Theory What exactly is the Big Bang Theory? I know before starting this essay I knew
very little of what it consisted. I figured that the Big Bang Theory had something to with the era of a
new generation. One in which started after the extinction of dinosaurs to be quite honest. As I learn
more about astronomy, this topic struck an interest and technically the big bang theory isn t something
that occurred but rather something that happened. It started the beginning of what we now call the
universe.
When we ask astronomers what the big bang theory entails, it is simplified as the explanation on how
the universe started or began. The universe was not what it currently is today and in order to
understand our universe we have to obviously start from somewhere so why no start to the beginning?
According to astronomers there is little known about how the universe was started but as far as we
know it started with a gravitational singularity. Singularities are believed to exist at the center of black
holes. The singularities then inflated over the next 13.8 billion years to what we see in the sky today. It
s hard to look back in time and see how the universe came about, but astronomers can somewhat
summarize the birth through mathematical theory and models of how the Big bang theory came about.
Although Astronomers weren t able to see how the universe came about, they are able to see an
expansion through a phenomenon known as the cosmic microwave background which is

Differentiation of Self Rabstejnek (2010) explains that differentiation and its antithesis fusion are Bowen s terms to describe the extent to which people are able to separate their emotional and intellectual spheres. Highly fused people function automatically and respond emotionally to the life situations. Highly differentiated people on the other hand are people who have an autonomous intellectual system that can keep control over their emotional system (Nichols Schwartz, 2004. p.123). Nichols and Schwartz (2004) explain that when thoughts and feelings are not distinguished, fusion occurs. Undifferentiated people tend to react emotionally and when interacting with other people, can be submissive or defiant. They also find it difficult to maintain their own autonomy especially around anxious issues. Instead of saying what they think, they say what they feel and instead of saying what they believe, they echo what they have heard. Using articles, and web sources we will outline the history, genetic basis, and different treatments of this genetic disease. Hypertrichosis literal meaning is excess of hair growth. The elemental genetic defect remains unknown because there are many factors at work. There is a debate if hypertrichosis is an autosomal or X linked disease, since there have been documented cases of both. However, there are certain chromosomal defects that have proven to be present in many patients. Certain diseases and environmental triggers are known to be associated with hypertrichosis. Although this disease is nonfatal, it can be embarrassing and unpleasant for the patient. Excess hair can manifest itself on the hands, face, and body. There are few treatments aside from cosmetic procedures. There remains no known cure for hypertrichosis. • 21. Analysis Of Octavia Butler s Science Fiction Classic Bloodchild Analysis Octavia Butler s science fiction classic Bloodchild is the coming of age story told from the point of view of Gan. The story takes place on an alien planet the very night that Gan becomes a man. One might expect a highly masculine, ritualistic ceremony or event, but Butler turns the tables. In order to become a man Gan must be impregnated by an insectoid like alien named T Gatoi. Cages have often been symbolic in literature as a means of subjugation, the cages in Bloodchild are imperative to the story in the same way. Through the explicit use of imagery, metaphor, prose and irony, Butler creates a story reflective of the sufferings of American Slavery, of life as an African American woman and causes the reader to reevaluate the way they treat others. Bloodchild has won multiple awards including the Nebula and Hugo Awards and an award for best science fiction novelette from the Science Fiction Chronicle (Heifitz). Butler gains literary notability by creating a work so horrifyingly believable, that is reflective of slavery and discrimination, it is a powerful story that pushes the reader to thoughts and ideas that might not have otherwise been explored. Similar to how some African American slaves accepted their treatment, Gan accepts the cages. The first three mentions of cages come at the beginning of the tale. T Gatoi enters Gan s home, offering gifts. She and Gan embrace and Gan notices that this action made the others feel caged (Butler 3). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The wife of Bath s story is fairly general a man is accused of trying to rape a woman and the sentence for this charge is to be hung. Lawsuits may seem like an obvious way to stop piracy, but legal action is typically a last resort with the widespread use of the Internet, it is way too time consuming and expensive to track down every web site and person that is involved in the production and sharing of illegal music files. Piracy laws also vary from country to country, making enforcement rather ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 42. Nelson Mandela Character Analysis Nyayiel Lok Director Riveroll Senior Monday 11 Sep 2017 Success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. The first person I think of is Nelson Mandela. Mandela s ultimate success had to do with his character and background. Although he was born in a royal family, grew up in a divided region of South Africa between blacks and whites. He still managed to maintain a correct mindset to a path leading to success. You can come from a small surrounding and have a bigger triumph than someone who comes from a lot more, or it s the total opposite. In this case, it s the fact that coming from a wealthy family who supports you will get you anywhere. Gladwell argues that having a superior background means that it is much easier to be successful ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Which brings me to my next point. One s background definitely has an impact on successful people. If it were a different person with a different background, hence the situation would have turned out differently. Many people are born already into an easier lifestyle because of the place their family has already had. Robert Oppenheimer was a smart guy who turned out to be successful with the support of his family and wealth. Oppenheimer didn t face the lifetime struggles, Lagan has. But he did suffer from depression and was emotionally unstable, which made sense as to why, Oppenheimer took some chemicals from the laboratory and tried to poison his tutor (Gladwell 98). The first instance is that any person is going to go to jail for any crime he or she did, no matter who they are or what reputation they hold. But for this case, Oppenheimer was taken out the hot seat and was not punished. I believe he was let out of the situation way too easily and it was odd for them to do. Gladwell here covers every detail of Oppenheimer s case, making it to the university and how they handled it, Blackett, luckily, found out that something was amiss. The university was informed. Oppenheimer was called on the carpet. And what happened next is every bit as unbelievable as the crime itself. Here is how the incident is described in American Prometheus, Kai Bird and Martin Sherwin s biography of Oppenheimer: After protracted negotiations, it was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 43. Link Between Autism And Vaccinations No Link Found between Autism and Vaccinations The purpose of report is to explore the possible link between the development of Autism or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and vaccinations containing thimerosal. Around the world, there is a debate over the administration of the mumps, measles, and rubella (MMR) vaccination due to the use of the preserver, Thimerasol. Thimerasol s use is controversial to the fact that the compound contains the toxic chemical element, mercury (Hg). In 1999, the Center for Disease Control and the American Academy of Pediatrics pushed the FDA for the removal of mercury from vaccinations administered to children under the age of six. Although this measure was only of a cautionary nature, it led to many parents ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They state that their subsequent spread into the general population poses concerns for public safety. They go on to state that they compiled studies that examined the relationship between the MMR vaccination and the post administration development of Autism or the spectrum disorders. The information that they extracted consists of the study characteristics, methods, and outcomes. They finally state that they found no relationship, of any kind. The first section in the methods section describes the protocol to be followed. In order to find appropriate studies for the meta analysis, Taylor and Swerdfeger, examined articles from Medline, Pubmed, Embase, and Google Scholar using the guidelines outlined by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Analysis (PRISMA) and independently assessed the risk of bias using the Newcastle Ottawa Scale (NOS). Eslick then reviewed the articles. Following this, Taylor manually extracted the study design, the country of completion, sample sizes, interventions, outcome measures, and measures of effect from the articles. All literature had to be published and there was no language restriction on the studies, The second section details the eligibility requirements for the analysis. The first criterion of which was that the publications included cohort and case control studies that looked at the prospective interconnection between administration of either the MMR ... • 44. Fm Rouge Research Paper Empirically, the Khmer Rouge regime, from its conception in 1975 to its fall in 1979, supremely, holistically, and irreversibly overthrew Cambodian society. As a hard line communist movement defined by fundamentalist socialism the Khmer Rouge, under leader Pol Pot, attempted total social reconstruction and evolution. Envisaging a Cambodia without inequality and equal distribution of wealth, the Khmer Rouge implemented its aims of isolation and departure from Western capitalism through oppressive technique; in seeking a better nation, the movement indeed destroyed the ideological and philosophical integrity of Cambodia s political system, economic structure, and social fabric. Primarily, the Khmer Rouge aimed in an economic sense to revitalise the national economy under the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A major aspect of the economic impact of the Khmer Rouge was the widespread establishment of agricultural cooperatives, or a pointed process of collectivisation, which completely changed the dynamic of the Cambodian labour force and also the inherent means of production, distribution, and exchange. The working population was separated into three forces who were assigned to different aspects of the economy which were all based in advancing agriculture, be it actually producing food or developing infrastructure to supplement it. All were expected to work 10 12 hour days and labour conditions were generally subpar with harsh discipline and poor hygiene. In a similar fashion to achieve economic independence in the communism model the Khmer Rouge abolished all private ownership, leading to neglected industrial sectors and a sever deterioration in the functionality of the tertiary industry. The essence of the economic implications of the Khmer Rouge is evident in, again, Red Brotherhood at War . We are building socialism without a model... there is no money, no commerce . The economic approach of the Khmer Rouge was fundamentally flawed. Isolation and hard line ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 46. Essay Cold Fusion Cold Fusion: The Continuing Mystery In March of 1989, a discovery was made that rocked the scientific world. Stanley Pons and Martin Fleischman had announced that they were able to create and sustain a cold fusion process. After intense media attention, and corresponding interest in future test, the subject seemed to have faded away. Future tests proved inconclusive, and when the quick promise of easy energy didn t materialize, most quickly forgot the subject. Little is said about the continuing research in the scientific community to further our understanding of the free energy enigma. Is it science fiction, on the border of legitamete science, or is it a practical field worthy of serious attention? Cold ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Cold fusion is only produced three out of ten times under the best conditions, but this is enough to justify continued research. The first transitors were only successful one out of a hundred times until the mechanisms were completely understood. The science of the reaction taking place in cold fusion is still not clear. When pieces of the puzzle begin to fit together better, the success rate will increase, and yields will go up. The actual set up of a cold fusion cell is an electrolyte such as hydrogen or deuterium in which a electrode made of specially treated and prepared steel is immersed. The lattice structure of the metal is filled with the hydrogen, where the fusion occurs. The problem is most metals fracture when subjected to these conditions. High loading is the state in which the metal survives, and begins to produce energy. There are numerous different methods and materials that are used to accomplish this goal. The original was a Heavy water solution with an electrolyte, in which a current is passed between a palladium alloy electrode. Several other new methods are in use today but the most promising is the Ceramic Proton Conductor. In this case, a low current is passed through a strontium cerium oxide in deuterium atmosphere. The reaction gives off significant excess energy. Cold fusion differs significantly ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Chilean Culture Essay Due to an average growth rate between 1985 and 1997 was 7.4 percent (Corbo Tessada, 2002, p. 466) and an opened and globalized economy, emerged a new middle class, with more access to goods and services, and more consumption power as a consequence of the economic growth but, above all, because the democratization of the access to credit cards and other financial instruments to join the market. Hence, the consumption patterns also changed: the Chilean people started to travel abroad, increased the access to technological devices, as well as goods and services that had never accessed before. • 48. The Big Bang Theory And The Revolution Of A New Generation The Big Bang Theory What exactly is the Big Bang Theory? I know before starting this essay I knew very little of what it consisted. I figured that the Big Bang Theory had something to with the era of a new generation. One in which started after the extinction of dinosaurs to be quite honest. As I learn more about astronomy, this topic struck an interest and technically the big bang theory isn t something that occurred but rather something that happened. It started the beginning of what we now call the universe. When we ask astronomers what the big bang theory entails, it is simplified as the explanation on how the universe started or began. The universe was not what it currently is today and in order to understand our universe we have to obviously start from somewhere so why no start to the beginning? According to astronomers there is little known about how the universe was started but as far as we know it started with a gravitational singularity. Singularities are believed to exist at the center of black holes. The singularities then inflated over the next 13.8 billion years to what we see in the sky today. It s hard to look back in time and see how the universe came about, but astronomers can somewhat summarize the birth through mathematical theory and models of how the Big bang theory came about. Although Astronomers weren t able to see how the universe came about, they are able to see an expansion through a phenomenon known as the cosmic microwave background which is ...
