2. Construction Stages
During the construction of my media
pieces, I used a variety of new media
technologies. For the filming of the project
I used my camcorder, a Panasonic SDR-
S26. I also used the camcorder for talking
the photos for my digipack.
For the editing I used the schools iMacs
and used the program iMovie ’09 version
8.6.0.
Other technologies included using some
lighting rigs when the natural lighting went
dim and using my mobile phone to call the
talent when they got lost.

technologies in the construction
of my digipack and poster.
Digipack template I went on a
search engine and download the
template from one of the
websites. I used Adobe Photoshop
C5 to create the threshold effects
on the front cover of the album
and to place the photos onto the
digipack template. I then used
Picasa and the website Picnik to
edit on the fonts and create the
digipack poster.

4. Research Planning Stages
To find out more information about
music videos, I used search engines such
as Google. I did this because it’s a fast,
inexpensive way of getting information.
I also looked at video tutorials on
Youtube to show me how to do editing
on iMovie, such as the cloning I did in my
music video. I also used a video tutorial to
show me how I could use make up to get
a slit wrist effect on the talents arm. I
decided to use these as I prefer to visually
look at how things are done instead of
reading about them.

5. As well as that, I created an
internet survey using a website
called Survey Monkey. I then
posted my survey on Facebook
and an internet forum, The
Student Room. I posted it on
Facebook so I could gain
feedback from reliable sources,
and I posted on The Student
Room because the audience
will be in my age range and
would be unbiased.

6. Evaluation Stages
I used Photobooth on the iMacs
and my camcorder to record
peoples responses of my music
video. I then used iMovie to edit
these clips together. I did this so I
can get a initial response to
peoples thoughts of my music
video.
Also, I used Keynote and Microsoft
Powerpoint to produce slideshows
to upload them to a website called
SlideShare.

7. Finally, of course, I used Blogger to post my
coursework online for others to read and give
constructive feedback on.
