Homeless People Essay
Crafting an essay on the subject of homeless people is undoubtedly a challenging task. This topic
delves into a complex and sensitive issue that requires a nuanced understanding of social,
economic, and psychological factors. The difficulty lies not only in researching and presenting
accurate information but also in navigating the emotional terrain associated with homelessness.
To create a comprehensive essay, one must delve into the root causes of homelessness, ranging
from economic disparities and unemployment to mental health issues and lack of affordable
housing. Addressing these factors requires a careful balance between empathy and objectivity.
The writer must weave together statistics, personal stories, and expert opinions to provide a
holistic view of the issue.
Furthermore, approaching the essay with a solution-oriented mindset adds another layer of
complexity. Proposing viable solutions to homelessness involves a thorough understanding of
existing policies, community initiatives, and potential areas for improvement. This requires not
only research but also critical thinking and creativity.
In addition, the emotional weight of the topic cannot be ignored. Writing about the struggles of
homeless individuals may evoke strong emotions, and it's crucial to handle these emotions with
sensitivity and respect. Balancing the human side of the issue while maintaining a professional
and academic tone is a delicate task that demands skillful writing.
In conclusion, tackling the subject of homeless people in an essay demands a careful blend of
research, empathy, and critical analysis. It's a challenge that requires a deep understanding of the
multifaceted nature of homelessness and the ability to communicate these complexities
effectively. While challenging, such essays contribute to raising awareness and fostering
understanding about critical societal issues.

Drum History
The drum is the oldest known musical instrument in the history of civilization and its
basic design has not changed in thousands of years. Drumming has a profound history
as a method of communication, and the drum has an implementation of religious
symbolism.
Drums are a lot of fun to play, and every rock or pop band needs them, so drummers
are in ever increasing demand. There are different methods on how to learn and play
this instrument. Different sized drums and cymbals are arranged into kits, where a
drummer can pick from a variety of sounds to lead or accompany a particular song.
For starters, you can read on some basic care for your drum set. This includes setting
up the drum kit, caring for the cymbals, and tuning the drums. While ... Show more

It is said that if you can count to four, you can play the drums. Counting till 4 will
be the basis of the beat. Virtually all major rock beats are built around basic 4/4 time
signature. It basically means that each measure or bar of music is split into four
quarter notes.
Then with the right hand the hi hat is hit on every count. The hi hats are the
foundation of most basic rock drumming beats as they typically hold a steady pulse
while other limbs fill in on the snare and the bass versions. The rest is actually quite
simple. Then the bass and snare versions should be added on the counts of 1 and 3
respectively. This will be the basic drum beat.
When the basics are learnt you will be able to see how beats are built around this
basic pattern. This is the basics to most rock drumming beats and grooves.
The next step for learning how to play this well is to practice stick control and the
rudiments. Drums rudiments help one to build independence and speed. The two
most common rudiments are the single stroke roll and the double stroke roll. Since
drumming is all about beats and counts, a drummer should be very precise in
timing. Timing is a major factor while learning to play drums. A drummer should be
able to create the mood and groove for any song, adding fills and accents in to pep

Global Warming Issues
In late 2012, the Wall Street Journal published an article written and supported by
sixteen scientists called, No Need to Panic About Global Warming. The article s main
argument claimed mainstream climate experts were wrong about the effect greater
carbon dioxide levels had on the environment as well as the threat global warming
posed to society. The contrarian scientists attempted to refute mainstream scientific
findings that carbon dioxidelevels were rising rapidly throughout the past decade and
that carbon dioxide itself was a pollutant. The dissenting scientists claimed that
influxes of CO2 throughout the earth s atmosphere over time has actually been
beneficial to the environment and that global warming is not the impending threat...

Adversaries even likened the op ed researchers climate science equivalency to that of
dentists practicing cardiology. (Trenberth) Mainstream scientists found the contrarian
authors lack of credibility was most prominently portrayed through their argument
which completely misrepresented the majority consensus on climate change research
and the overall field of climate science. In the op ed, the climate science field was
portrayed as faction of notable scientists with varying views on the extent and risk of
global warming but that contrarian opinions, that wouldn t conform to the alarmist
majority, were silenced by scientists who hyperbolized global warming s threats to
society. Mainstream climate scientists saw this as a crude misrepresentation of their
field and hit back with the fact that at the time, among climate experts, there was a
general consensus of over 97% that global warming was anthropogenic as well as an
imminent threat to human and environmental wellness.(Trenberth) They went on to
claim that the journal s severe distortion of the field of climate research was
misinforming the public by publicizing, and at times even praising outlandish
accusations by minority dissenting scientists. Many researchers and public officials
were angered by the paper s misrepresentations arguing the Wall Street Journal was
simply fueling
Maslow Hierarchy Of Needs Essay
Maslow s hierarchy of needs is a theory of motivation in psychology developed by
Abraham Maslow. It s comprising a five tier model of human needs, often depicted
as hierarchy levels within a pyramid. Maslow (1943, 1954) believed people move
through different stages of five needs that motivate our behaviour. He called these
needs physiological, safety, social, esteem and self actualization. He stated that
people are motivated to achieve certain needs and that some needs take precedence
over others. Maslow believe each stage of need had to be met before progression to
the next stage of need to occur. So at first Maslow think that people need to have
the basic needs first before we go to the next stage. Basic needs such as food, water
and sleep.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is known as the basic needs. The basic human needs are water, air, food, sleep.
This are the essential things that supports the human survival. Without food, air,
water, sleep our human bodies will not be able to work accordingly and it may
cause worst seniors for example Death. Physiological needs is the most important
need of all the rest of the needs, it has been said that people can live without the
rest of the needs but people can t live without the most important need which is the
Physiological need. Safety and security are the basic needs that probably one of
the most important needs in man s life after physiological needs. When we make
decisions regarding our life, we try our best to ensure our own safety such as
purchasing insurances. Insurances like cars and health insurance are meant to
protect ourselves if unexpected tragedies occur. We do these things to increase our
sense of protection and to feel more comfortable while enjoying our daily life.
Basically, humans need safety needs in order to be free from threat of physical and
emotional harm. According to Maslow Hierarchy, if a person feels threatened, needs
further up the pyramid will not receive attention until that need has been
Truly Experience The Pantheon Of Ancient Rome
Truly Experience the Pantheon The Pantheon happens to be the best preserved
building from the times of Ancient Rome. Its large dome is an everlasting
testimony to the architectural genius of the Romans and the building still remains
basically in tact and offers a unique opportunity for many visitors to journey back
in time to 2,000 years ago and experience the Roman glory. Atmosphere and
Interior As you make your way towards the bronze doors, and walk under the
rectilinear porch, the height and width of the building will fill your vision
completely. You have plenty of room to move around and how you see in this area.
The rotunda happens to be one of the most remarkable features that the Pantheon
has, it was the biggest domed structure until 1912. The interior of the Pantheon is
more dramatic and stunning in comparison to its exterior. When you walk inside,
you are bombarded with various colours of light that reflect off of a variety of
surfaces. The alcove that is just opposite the door, is the most impressive and it
touches the ceiling. It has decorative cornice and red porphyry frieze as well as
being flanked by Corinthian marble columns in a Phyrgian purple. Each of the
alcoves will have two columns in either Numidian yellow or Phyrgian purple. Each
of the alcoves also have three small areas for statues that is surrounded by seven
other windows that are located on the rotunda walls. Due to the use of concrete, the
idea was that the architecture would be able to be a
The Standards Of Water Jump
Water Jump. I remember back 20 years ago when the ISO 900x standards were
pushed heavily in Eastern Europe s manufacturing economy, it was like
reminiscent of a bank robbery during daylight. Consulting certification companies
were making tons of money and in return were giving their clients a right to put
label called ISO 900x. Around that time I was working as a mechanical designer in
a leading manufacturing factory and one day I witnessed an extremely interesting
conversation between part time 75 year young engineer and the head of the ISO
certification group that was converting our company into ISO 9000 certified. I
happened during informal 15 min break, when out of the blue, the engineer simply
confronted the entire certification process and called that we have been conned. He
challenged the certification group to present a standard that we may need and do
not have. On every given example, he was able quickly to point existing standard
and the published reference as in a number of cases he went back as 60 years to
find the needed reference. In the end, he was able to build a strong case.
Eventually, the head of the certification group concluded: You know it, I know it,
the rest of people do not. Let s keep it that way . Fast forward 10 years to the agile
revolution, when I remembered how ecstatic people were in the software community.
I remember many authors had sold their software books on agile. When I checked,
the majority of them had published just a few
Compare and Contrast Pope Francis vs. Pope Benedict XVI
Essay
I would like to compare/contrast Pope Francis vs. Pope Benedict XVI. During his
first year in office, Pope Francis has become one of the world s greatest social
innovators. Many have celebrated Pope Francis as a spiritual leader, diplomat, and a
politician. Pope Francis is a leader to start something new by launching a global
campaign against hunger. Using social media, such as YouTube, Pope
Francis sent his
message out to elect a day, December 10th, for a world wide rally. Additionally,
Pope Francis is known for sending out tweets @Pontifex. By the use of social media,
the Pope has captured attention all across the globe. Take for instance the time Pope
Francis washed the feet of Muslim women in prison. Bloggers went wild with photos

Sometimes the things that have been forgotten can be viewed as new by reminding
us of what is important (Watson, 2013). Pope Francis actions reflect a social
innovator and some may call intrapreneur (Dearing, 2014). The definition of
intrapreneur is a person within a large corporation who takes direct responsibility for
turning an idea into a profitable finished product through assertive risk taking and
innovation (Pinchot, 2010).
Pope Benedict business goals
As of January 20, 2013 Pope Benedict has 12,739 followers on Twitter.
In his 2009 encyclical, Pope Benedict XVI conveys issue about the international
economic system and its overemphasis on benefit at the price of individual and group
needs. Without question, one of the biggest threats for companies is that they are
almost specifically responsible to their traders, thereby restricting their public value.
The pope s solution to this situation is not only government control of companies, but
the development of new business designs where human and group results are
regarded an integral aspect of the main point here. In many ways, he explains
substitute companies that are aspect of the quickly growing solidarity economic
system.
Brand Effectiveness
Pope Francis was encountered with a church experiencing loss of client involvement,
reduction in attendance, and in some marketplaces adverse business development.

monarchs each one fair and truthful like the last. On the west of the river lays the

Punchbowl Falls
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest of the United States has ignited my passion
for hiking and being in nature. For a greater portion of my life, I have lived next to
Multnomah Falls and all the beautiful hikes that surround it. My absolute favorite
hike in the Columbia River Gorge area is Punchbowl Falls. It is 5 miles and leads
to a beautiful waterfall that people can swim in. Conquering this hike takes almost
a full day as it is mostly uphill and once people finally find the waterfall, they do
not ever wish to leave. Most of it is on a cliff s edge, which can be intimidating, but
as people hike higher, they are able to see incredible views of thousands of trees
that never end. If that isn t beautiful enough, the site of the waterfall is breathtaking.
My first time going on this hike, I could hear the water of the waterfall roaring,
much like my excitement to capture in its beauty. When I witnessed the waterfall, I
noticed it runs off about a fifty foot cliff and I saw others jumping off it. After many
minutes of standing on the cliff s edge, I finally gained enough courage to jump.
Jumping into freezing cold water is extremely exhilarating, and I fell in love with
Punchbowl based off this experience.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

world and it is where I turn when I need to distract myself from reality. Being able to
witness Heavenly Father s creations is a blessing and I am grateful I could grow up
in a place where a plethora of magnificent hikes is only a 20 minute drive
The Holocaust How It Changed the World Forever
The Holocaust amp; How It Changed Our World Forever
The tragic events that occurred during world war two and the holocaust were not
only horrific but also morally wrong. The Jewish culture was targeted for mass
genocide, by the hand of a mad man bent on world domination, and the only way to
prevent another incident like this from happening again, is to thoroughly educate the
public. The actions and events that Hitler and his followers proposed not only
helped the world realize the extent of his destruction but also how horrible it would
be if the events were to happen again. The aftermath of the war and holocaust left
half of Europe in ruins, and more than six million Jews, Homosexuals, Gypsies, and

Nazis saw the use of gas to murder over population as a solution to their problem.
They began liquidating the ghettos and transferring all Jewish occupants to
concentration camps. As well, the Nazi Army moved through Europe and began
exterminating the Jewish population of the territories conquered by firing squads, by
loading them on trains to concentration camps, or forced marches across the vast land
of ruins.
November 1943, the US Congress debates America s involvement with Europe.
They received numerous reports about mass murdering of Jews, but they did not
have any evidence. On November 4th, 1943 a German newspaper wrote Its
actually true that the Jews have, so to speak, disappeared from Europe... Although
at the time this seamed odd, America had their hands full a year later. On
December 7th 1941, Japan declared war on the United States with the bombing of
Pearl Harbor. This act was only significant due to it being the first attack by a
foreign nation on American soil since the American Revolution. The bombing of
Pearl Harbor, as well as Japans alliance with Germany and Italy, left the United States
government no choice but to declare war on Japan and the Axis powers.
Thus, on June 6th 1944, The American army landed on Normandy and pushed their
way through France. On July 24th, 1944, the concentration camp Majdanek was

My Spiritual Autobiography Of My Life
Spiritual Autobiography
I often hear people say I knew I was called to preach the gospel or ministry is in my
blood. For many years, even into adulthood, I thought ministry was only about
preaching. I did not understand the depth of ministry until I became intimate with
God. I realize that those who said they were called to preach are only seeking out a
job because true ministry is a lifestyle. My spiritual journey began in early
childhood. However, unlike many others who grew up as pastor kids, the long
boring years I spent in church services deterred me from wanting to go into
ministry. Even into adulthood, I went to church but that is all I wanted to do. I
wanted to go to service, listen to the pastor, give my offering, say amen then go
home and proceed with the rest of my life. In fact, this cycle and my view about
doing ministry continued until my late 20s. As a seminarian looking back on my
childhood, I discovered my family s church habits were the norm for people at that
time. My grandmother did not believe women should to wear pants because they
were things that pertain to a man (Deuteronomy 22:5) and the skirt should always be
a modest length. I could not see it at that time, but, unknowingly, while I was
grumbling and complaining about my clothes and the time we spent in church, the
other believers were instilling biblical values in me that would manifest later in life.
My relationship with God between ages 18 and 26 is similar to the people in the last
The Geography Geniuses Generated 3 Behaviorist Theory
Everybody learns in different ways, including the students sitting in the classrooms.
How are teachers going to be able to make sure every student learns? Maribel,
Julianne, Michelle, Matthew, and Ana are Geography Geniuses and are here to
advise how to ensure that every student learns. Focusing on the 3rd grade standard
SS.3.G.1.1, students will use thematic maps, tables, charts, graphs, and photos to
analyze geographic information. The information being taught is declarative because
students will acquire factual knowledge and information that can be spoken about at
any time. The activities utilize hands on and drill methods with the objective that if
students are shown a blank map they will be able to recognize and recall all elements
of the map automatically. Lastly, they fit into the remember and understand levels of
Bloom s Taxonomy because students will remember locations on the map and later
understand different information and landmarks embedded in states. With all this in
mind, the Geography Geniuses generated 3 behaviorist and 3 constructivist activities
that allow the students to learn and practice geographic locations.
The first activity my third grade students will learn is a constructivist activity, which
promotes active learning and learning by doing. It derives from constructivism one
of Piaget s theory it is defined as the view that meaningful learning is the active
creation of knowledge instead of a simple transfer of objective knowledge from one

The Stagnancy In The Lovesong Of J. Alfred Prufrock
Stagnancy is associated with failure, the impossibility of man fulfilling his dreams.
In T.S. Eliot s The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock, Prufrock is a discombobulated
character. Stagnancy is explicitly showcased into the character Prufrock by his
idealistic need for perfection and indecisiveness. Not only does the character become
paralyzed throughout the poem, so does his future. T.S. Eliot uses an obsession with
women including ideas like timeand space to comment on the negative effect
stagnancy has on his abilities. By developing an elaborate character, T.S. Eliot is able
to portray the sense of inferiority and fear brought upon him that caused him to hinder
his growth.
Due to Prufrock s indecisiveness, in the end he is found stuck in his own
confinement. He fails to effectively use his time and freedom which results in the
imprisonment of his own mind. Prufrock reaches the point of total inaction and is
found squandering his time in coffeehouses. The idea that time is eternal for things
such as love, meeting people, creating masterpieces, ... Show more content on

Eliot not only dismisses the idea of time, he makes Prufrock completely oblivious
of it. Throughout the poem, Eliot does not make it clear that Prufrock is a middle
aged man. Prufrock is aging but he does not see it as something he should worry
about because there will be time yet for a hundred indecisions, And for a hundred
visions and revisions, (Eliot, 38 39). Past, present, and future are equally immediate
in the poem, thus paralyzing Prufrock even further. He has no desire to accomplish
what he so deeply desires despite the fact he is aging by day. Prufrock s
incompetency to see what is and what is not real prevents him accomplishing
anything including answering his Do I dare? question. His nonchalant attitude
towards the time left further proves that doubt and self consciousness will manifest
itself into all aspects of

Ap Euro Dbq Revolutions Of 1848
The Revolution of 1848
Europe underwent a wave of revolutions during the 19th century. This series of
political upheavals was known as the Revolutions of 1848. The Revolutions of 1848
were a series of republican revolts against European monarchies. The revolutions
began in Italy, in January 1848, and eventually spread to the rest of Europe. The
Revolutions of 1848 were significant because they were the most widespread and
violent political movements of Europe in the 19th century. Ultimately, the ideas of
conservatism, liberalism, and nationalism impacted the Revolutions of 1848.
Most conservative thoughts and viewpoints were expressed through the Congress of
Vienna, which was a meeting of ambassadors of European states. The goal of the
conservatives at this meeting was to reestablish peace and stability in Europe.
Conservatives supported the political and social order, such as social hierarchy, that
had existed before the French Revolution (Doc. 4). Therefore, they preferred the time
period before 1789 because they benefited from the old regime (Doc. 7). The
Congress of Vienna also sought to balance power and prevent future revolutions.
However, they believed that natural rights and constitutional government could lead

88). Treplev sarcastically refers to Trigorin as a great luminary and says that Nina
melts in his rays. Treplev hopes to show Nina that Trigorin has the power to
manipulate not only her, but also his mother Irina. In trying to prove this point to her,
he says, A fine character! you and I nearly quarrel over him, while he s in the
drawing room or garden or somewhere, laughing at us, and drawing Nina out,
trying to make her see what a genius he is (II, P. 96 7). Both of these conflicts are
primary to the play and the development of the characters. These problems are also
complicated by Irina s obsession with being the center of attention. Treplev is most
often at the receiving end of her need for attention, but she does not neglect the
other characters of the play when it comes to her egotism. Complicating many of
the problems in the play are somewhat minor conflicts between the main characters.
These complications are centered on Irina, who feeds her ego at the expense of
others. The focus of Irina s flaunting is Treplev, who becomes suicidal after feeling
neglected. She says to Masha, You re twenty two and I m nearly twice as old. Now

but also those of Nina. She says to Nina, yes, and so
The Treatment Of Bulimia Nervosa
Author: Haley McDaniel, Pharm.D. Candidate
Date Answered: November 2, 2015
Question:
47. Should topiramate be considered for the treatment of bulimia nervosa?
Answer: The drug Topiramate is a sulfamate substituted derivative from the
monosaccharide D fructose that is known for its anticonvulsant and antimigraine
actions.1 Therefore, it is helpful for patients with seizures and migranes. Epilepsy is a
specific example of what this drug is used to treat. Topiramate is different from other
antiepileptic drugs because it is thought to block the spreading of seizures instead of
lowering the threshold like other antiepilepsy drugs. 2 Although the exact mechanism
that Topirmate cannot be identified, it is currently being observed from biochemical
studies. Scientist have observed that the drug blocks voltage dependent sodium
channels, augments the activity of gamma aminobutyric acid, antagonizes the AMPA
/kainite subtype of glutamate receptor, and inhibits carbonic anhydrase. 1 Should this
medicine be used to treat bulimia nervosa? Bulima nervousa is a disease that causes
patients to engulf large amounts of food in a short amount of time, which then
causes them to take action by purging or taking laxitives to get rid of the large sum
of food they consumed. 3
There was a study that used a randomized, Double Blind, Placebo Controlled Trial,
to test if Topiramate had an effect on the behavior, body weight, and quality of life
related to health in patients suffering from
Illegal Immigration Is The United States
Illegal immigration is the migration of people across national borders in a way that
violates the immigration laws of the destination country. Some countries have
millions of illegal immigrants. Immigration, including illegal immigration, is
overwhelmingly upward, from a poorer to a richer country. The easy definition of an
undocumented immigrant is someone who was not born in the United Statesand
therefore has no legal right to be or remain in the United States. Not all undocumented
immigrants snuck across the border illegally. Although it is hard to get an accurate
number on the amount that did, some undocumented immigrants originally came
here legally as tourists or some came on a temporary visaand just did not leave. The
reasons on why they decided to stay and not go back to their countries are
numerous. Some immigrants come to the United States to work and escape the poor
economy in their country, while others come to be with their family. Whatever the
reason may be, at the end of the day they all come here to achieve the american
dream. The American Dream is a national ethos of the United States, the set of ideals
(Democracy, Rights, Liberty, Opportunity, and Equality) in which freedom includes
the opportunity for prosperity and success, and an upward social mobility for the
family and children, achieved through hard work in a society with few barriers. In
the definition of the American Dream by James Truslow Adams in 1931, life should

and meant we would have to win seven straight games to become champions. I
knew that most of the weight of winning the championship would rest on my right
arm. The prospect of this at first seemed daunting, but my dad kept reminding the
team and myself of the old clichГ© Take it one game at a time . With this thought
in mind, we played each game as if it was our last, and gave all we could give. With
each strike I threw, I gained more confidence.
All during the regular season that year and the very first tournament game, my
thinking had been, All right, don t throw a ball. Don t throw a ball. After that first
tournament game, my thought was, I m going to throw a strike. Before, all this
pressure built up inside of me, and I was so worried about letting the team down,
and mainly, letting my dad down. Now, I knew that my dad was going to be there
no matter what, and the only person I d really be letting down was myself. I had let
myself down once before, and I had ended up in the belly of the beast named defeat.
I definitely did not want it to end that way.
In the first four games following our first loss, we overwhelmed the competition with
the amount of runs we scored. By the time we had vanquished our fourth opponent, I
had learned another important lesson. I came to the realization that I was a
The Second World War Cost Germany
Emily Altabef Money, Markets and Magic 3/17/15 The Second World War cost
Germany approximately 270 billion dollars. Hitler understood that the German
government should be prepared for a 10 to 15 year war. As he wished massive
building projects to coincide with victory, this proved to be an unrealistic task
(Overy). To combat growing industry several million prisoners of war were deported
into the Reich (Spoerer). In order to sustain the German war economy, the armament
industry was privatized. This privatization ultimately led to the commodification of
prisoners of war; especially polish Jews. It appeared to the government of the Third
Reich in the beginning of 1944 that the vast amounts of foreign forced laborers were

From the 95,000 registered prisoners in the second half of 1942, 57,530 of them
were killed (Ulrich). When Albert Speer was named the Minister for Armaments
and Munitions in 1942, he had already proven his skills in the area of centralized
industry. Having overseen the construction of the Fuhrer buildings, he understood
the complexity of organization, machines and labor (Allen 94). Speer claimed that
human labor remained The only completely unresolved administrative problem in
my newly erected house (Allen 94) On September 22, 1942, Albert Speers solved
his problem by suggesting that concentration prisoners be at the disposal of
industry (Ulrich 201). This new policy would allow prisoners to be regarded as on
loan to the industry, which was responsible for integrating prisoners into existing
production (Ulrich 201). This system became privatized as a way to create more
money for the government. Private companies would report their need for workers
to the WVHA, who would in turn review their claims and issue permits. Companies
paid the Reich six Reich marks per day for skilled workers and four for auxiliary
workers and women as rent Ulrich 201). Most commonly company representatives
would walk into the camps themselves and search for suitable workers. Those
selected would then be transferred to an external installation of the concentration

Age Ceremonies For A Young Jew
Since the beginning of time coming of age ritual have existed. Whether it be
circumcision or hunting, or quinceaneras, coming of age ceremonies to celebrate
adulthood have been around ever since the beginning of time. There are many
different coming of age ceremonies that vary depending on a certain religion. In the
catholic religion there are several, first baptism, first communion, confirmation.
Judaismdoes not fall behind on coming of age ceremonies. One of the most important
coming of age ceremonies for a young Jew is a known as a Bar mitzvah. Bar mitzvah
or Bat mitzvah translates to son (daughter) of commandment. This means that the
young individual becomes responsible to observe the commandments (mizvot) of the
Torah. The... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Kabbalistic tradition believes that a person spiritual being has several levels of a
soul. Rabbi Shraga says a new level of soul (called neshama) comes into awareness
at the Bar/ Bat mitzvah time. This is the time when moral awareness and
sensitivity fully develops, enabling young people to take responsibility for their
actions (Simmons, 2014). This makes sense because they are now leaving
childhood behind and they need to be responsible for the actions that they do.
(Simmons, 2014) One of the reasons why actions are considered more significant
after reaching a certain age is because of the Talmud. The Talmud explains that a
mitzvah performed because one is commanded is consider greater than a mitzvah
performed voluntarily(Simmons, 2014) . This is because overcoming this
aversion is a sign of maturity, and it is what the Bar/Bat mitzvah celebrates
(reaching the stage of obligation.) A bat / bar mitzvah is a religious obligation that
is not taken lightly by the Jewish community(Simmons, 2014) . In many Jewish
communities they require the study with a Rabbi and or a Cantor for months,
sometimes even years(Simmons, 2014) . On Shabbat, the Torah ( a scroll which
contains five books of Moses) is read publicly. The Torah is divided into 54
portions, following an annual cycle and one portion is read each week in the
synagogue ( the meeting place where a Jewish congregation meets) (Simmons, 2014)

The Issue Of The Catholic Religion
The Catholic religion is not one religion to stray form their ways and beliefs, matter
of fact they the Catholic Church is actually extremely strict and very stubborn when
seeing a new point of view on certain topics or the new role of people. Getting into
why feminism is a big deal within the Catholic religion, people believe that woman
should be at home with the children taking care of household needs, while the men
provide for the family, such as work and saving food or just protecting the family.
Another modern day issue involving the Catholicreligion is that they are not
accepting of the gay and lesbian lifestyle. Not believing that this way of life is
suitable, especially if wanting to adopt a child and having that kid think this way of
life is normal. Therefore, the Catholics do not allow gays to practice in the Catholic
Churches. They can go to church to listen to the mass but that is all.
The Catholic Church does deny discrimination toward the gay community and the
support has increased research in the prevention of AIDS. Even though, the
decision to get rid of the gay men from the priesthood indicates that the Catholic
Church is taking a more aggressive anti gay stand (Hemeyer pg. 38). It is wrong
that if you are not a certain way that the Catholic Church will just go ahead and ban
a person or not allow them to participate in specific activities either. On a side note,
only men are allowed to be a priest, woman are not allowed to practice and become a
priest
Controversies Of The 1936 Olympics Compics
In 1932, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced that the 1936
Olympic games would be hosted in Berlin, Germany. The IOC picked Germany in
hopes that they could help restore the country s world standing, which had been
shattered in World War I. There was little resistance until Hitler took power and
immediately after, people from all over the world were questioning whether Nazi
Germanyshould host the games. Several countries had movements towards the
boycott of the 1936 Berlin Olympics, such as Great Britain, the Netherlands and

A massive amount of money was used to build a gigantic sport complex, Olympic

that the German news media cover the Games in high spirit. The discrimination
towards Jews was also toned done for the games and visitors were unaware that
Hitler ordered anti Jewish signs to be temporarily removed or covered on major
streets (Hillenbrand, 38). All of these decisions were made to demonstrate Germany

Germany deeming them human again (Kruger, 22). It served to convince other

they contained elaborate public rallies and the atmosphere was surreal (Hillenbrand

How Did The Vietnam War Influence The French Indochina
War
Derek Schmidt

Opinion Based Research Essay
The French Indochina War Starting in late 1946, a rebellion began in French
Indochina. The French colony, only recently liberated from Japanese occupation, was
eager to assert its independence from France. However, the French, wishing to retain
their colonial empire, had no wish to let this happen. Backed by the United States
who was afraid of the spread of communism in the area, France fought a brutal war to
maintain its position of power over Indochina. Ultimately, just like the VietnamWar
that succeeded it, the French Indochina War was a waste of time, money, and
manpower.
French Indochina was a colony of France consisting of the modern day countries of
Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. The colony was created after the French occupied
several important cities and the Vietnamese were forced to sign treaties
acknowledging the authority of the French over Vietnam. After gradually establishing
suzerainty over Indochina between 1858 and 1893, the French created the first
Indochinese Union to govern it (Indochina). French influence was strongest in the
urban centers, while it had little impact on the far more populous rural areas. French
Indochina came under the occupation of the Japanese during World War II, and the
Japanese collaborated closely with the French colonial administrators and BбєЈo
ДђбєЎi, the Emperor of Vietnam and a French puppet ruler. Once the war ended and
Japan surrendered, French troops reoccupied
What Is Kant Idea Of Suicide
4 18 17
Within this chapter of Kant, I was really interested in the idea of, [Acting] as if the
maxim of your action were to become by your will a universal law of nature (Kant
31). This has been one of the Kantian ideas that I have agreed with. It is basically
saying, Act how you want others to act or even, Lead by example . As mentioned
in another journal, this could either cause a lot of peace in the world or a lot of
negativity and chaos. One example that Kant gives that could pose a problem with
this idea is the idea of suicide. Kant believes that suicide is a way for someone to use
themselves as a mean rather than an end (Kant 31). As mentioned earlier in previous
chapters, Kant believed that humans should never act as means and only as ... Show

Kant also goes on to explain that this could never be a law of nature because it
would in fact, Destroy life itself which would in turn prevent someone from being
able to make their life better (Kant 32). I agree with Kant on his reasoning in this
situation. If suicide was to become a universal law, it would become acceptable to
terminate one s own life, which is an act of selfishness in a lot of ways. I also don t
see how suicide could be considered an act of self love. I believe it is an act of
selfishness and is something that should never become a universal law for this reason.
Taking one s own life will not make anyone s life easier, in fact it will end up
hurting a lot of other people which would therefore go against Kant s belief in
doing something purely out of the good in it and therefore not be a goodwill as its
end in itself does not promote anything good. I also believe that suicide would go
against Kant s belief of a human being superior over everything else. It shows that
some humans are weak and are therefore inferior to other creatures in the world. It
shows that some humans are weak because rather than face trouble or fear, they
choose to end it all at once without ever knowing what

Use Of Communication And Its Effects On The World Of...
In the world of technological advances the earth has evolved into, people are
communicating more often and easier than ever. The modes of communication are
endless, including: text, email, social media, phone calls, letters, fax, radio, podcast,
and live via virtual video. Each one of these modes of communication opens a
window of opportunity for a person to demonstrate rude behavior or improper
etiquette. Have you ever been to dinner with a friend to catch up and found yourself
staring at them as they stare into their cell phone? In this instance, it is believed that
the person simply does not know they are being rude. Their rudenessis caused by
mere ignorance or the thought that it is socially acceptable now (LaBossiere 2008).
A means of communication is literally at one s fingertips at all times, it not only
distracts them from the world surrounding them, but the people they encounter. Cell
phones have become such a part of our daily lives that they are often the thing we
reach for the minute we wake up and the last thing we look at before going to bed
(Woollaston 2015).
It is estimated that people spend an average of five hours a day on their cell
phones. That s a third of the amount of time they are actually awake (Woollaston
2015). However, it has been found that there are other causes of rude behavior such
as a means of demonstrating superiority due to one s own insecurities or anxieties, a
person s level of stress, and prior victimization from those who have
Is Hamlet Relevant Today
Hamlet is a tragedy by William Shakespeare about a prince and his life after his
father is murdered. He must avenge his father s death, by killing his uncle. He is in
love with a girl, Ophelia, who kills herself after prince Hamlet drives her insane.
Hamlet kills the father of Ophelia accidentally, upsetting Laertes, Ophelia s brother.
Laertes and Hamletwere to have a duel by the request of the king. Laertes tries to
cheat in the duel, resulting in the death of Hamlet, Claudius (Hamlet s uncle),
Gertrude(Hamlet s mother), and Laertes. While this tragedy is very old, many of
the principals of Hamlet are still relevant in today s society due to the modern
occurrences of love, hatred, and revenge. In today s society suicide as a result of
someone else actions is a very common occurrence. In Hamlet, Ophelia is driven
away from Hamlet because she is made to believe that he loves her, and when he
treats her poorly again and again, she begins to go crazy. (Act 3 Scene 1) The
subject behind this part of the tragedy seems to be a timeless tale. People will always

Obviously, people will always die, but that is not that is all to the theme. Hamet
fears death at the beginning of the play. His father has just passed, which puts him

depressed, he cannot decide if he wants to live anymore. (Act 3 scene 3) This can
be a common feeling in today s world when losing the life of a loved one. After
Hamlet discovers the death of Ophelia, and he sees his mother killed in front of
him, he accepts the fact that he is going to die sometime and that his time is
now.(Act 5 scene 2) Hamlet also tries to escape death when he escapes from the
boat and returns home. (Act 4 scene 5) This is similar to today s society because
some people might actually attempt to run from their own death, like breaking out of
Darwin s Theory of Evolution Essay
James Hutton was born June 3rd, 1726, in Edinburgh, Scotland. He was a Scottish
farmer and a naturalist, later in life he was known as the father of modern geology. (
James Hutton , 2010)
Hutton thought that sedimentation takes place so slowly that the oldest of rocks
are made of, in his words, materials furnished from the ruins of former continents.
The opposite happens when rock is eroded or decayed from weather or conditions of
the area. He called this destruction and renewal the great geological cycle, and then
realized that it had been happening for many years. Another one of Hutton s theories
was the Theory of Uniformitarianism. That was the idea that geological forces still at

If it is not possible to maintain the production of food to satisfy the population, than
the population must be kept down to the level of available food. (Rosenberg, 2009)
Charles Darwin s theory of evolution was that everything in the world was connected

Charles Lyell was a major influence to Darwin. That is because Darwin agreed with
most of Lyell works and theories for the most part because they helped validate his
own work. The ones that he did not agree with he discarded.
( Sir Charles Lyell ) Malthus was the other major influence in Darwin s work
because of his theory stating that if we did not have population control than the
population would grow too big and we could not produce enough food to support the
world or the growing population. Darwin expanded on this theory by saying that by
producing more offspring than could survive that would create competition between
the organisms. With that the organisms would produce more offspring usually with
adaptations that could make them stronger in one way or another. With the stronger
organisms, the weaker ones would slowly die off because of competition or because
of a lack of resources. ( Thomas Malthus )To answer the question of whether or not

Aged Population in Vietnam
*What is a demographic? A demographic is the study of human populations in terms
of size, density, location, age, gender, race, occupation, and other statistics. The
demographic environment is of major interest to marketers because it involves
people, and people make up markets (Course Book Principle of marketing)
пѓ°Demographic is a group of consumers that has a mutual collection of market
relevant attributes. It can be any number of people that share the same time frame.
Market relevant attributes can include any number of shared values, physical
attributes, experiences, beliefs, environmental conditions, cultures, or political or
financial elements that can be used to increase awareness, loyalty, sales, or product
improvement. All of the above is combined together to create a demographic group
image. This is how a demographic profile is formed.
пѓ°An example of this would be: single, working class, female, 18 24, with a high
school education. Subgroups or subcultures can be determined when profiles come
together. These profiles show the characteristics of a member in these subgroups
/cultures. A marketing strategy is developed from here since this helps provide a
foundation for a solid marketing plan.
*Basic Principle of Population Evaluation System: According to Cowgill and

The Definition Of Auteur
The debate about the definition of auteur has been going on since the 1940 s, the
original writers of the theory consist of a group of French cinema enthusiasts such as;
Truffaut, Jean Luc Godard, Eric Rohmer and Claude Chabrol. The theory first
emerged in their magazine Cahier du cinema. It was in this magazine that they wrote
the basis of the theory. As John Caughie explains Traditionally, the reference to the
auteur in French filmcriticism had identified either the author who wrote the script,
or, in the more general sense of the term, the artist who created the film. In the work
of Cahiers the latter sense came to replace the former, and the auteur was the artist
whose personality was written in the film (Caughie, 1981). Also many of them
believed in that the auteur should be the audio visual voice who uses the cinema to
show a personal statement and also depict their version of reality. Alexandre Astruc

background figures. Not only does the society barely exist, but after we see an
editor of a newspaper yelling for exposing outrages, the film still doesn t show

the mobsters gun down people at restaurants or bomb explosions we see nothing of

Gendered Norms In Leisure Spaces
Feminist geographers and leisure scholars have long battled the idea of gendered
norms. One critical way of understanding gendered norms and exceptions in Beijing
culture was through the process of examining women s access to experiences of
leisure activities in the rapid economic, political and social aspects of Chinese
society. Women living in Bejing strongly feel that the behaviour they receive in
public leisure spaces is due to the ongoing problems of gendered norms and the shift
in social changes that have taken place over the past half century. This study
conducted contributes to this body of literature on leisure, space and genderby

We see the conducted research in which everyday activities established a critical
moment for women s embodiment of normative expressions. Femininity and
masculinity revolves around the traditional culture which is present in
contemporary China. This article further helps our understanding of how leisure
spaces prove critical towards the production and reproduction of gendered
geographies of power. In the case of Chinese women we saw all types of public
leisure spaces which expressed a sense of comfort for the women as they preferred
being in groups as they perceived shopping malls and cafes as less masculinized. It
engaged traditional behaviour which for women is a strong trait that enables a
constructed performance of hegemonic masculinity from the men. Women were
always faced with long standing gendered norms of masculinized spaces like bars
and clubs were primarily associated with hyperfeminzation of women by the
hegemonic masculinity of the males. This article also contributes insight into the
ways of which young women are participants into the ongoing question of what it
means to be a traditional Chinese girl in a contemporary setting. As Gaetano argues,
this is important to recognize, as it positions women not only as sexualized objects in
the negotiations of cultural norms, but also as subjects of history whose everyday
activities, including public leisure, constitute an important platform for the
negotiation of national identities. While conducting research on women s gendered
experience in public spaces, topics of familial responsibilities and gender division of
labour were discussed and remained mainly around women s responsibilities towards
a equitable division of labour in other households.

Substance abuse and consumption have become an epidemic in America. The use
of drugs results in countless drug related deaths and causes states to spend billions
of dollars to combat drug trafficking. Drugs are shipped in by sea, air, automobile,
and even smuggled in by person. These drugs are supplied by drug cartels. These
criminal organizations where formed to promote, control, produce, and distribute

Hopefully this will help break the cycle of drug use, crime, and incarceration. The
Obama Administration is taking action to provide a balanced approach on. how to
addresses the Nation s drug problem and the effects on its communities. According
to Abramsky (2009), the Obama administration is moving away from a tough on
crime strategy and toward one that favors treatment over punishment. According
to Kristof (2009), the legalization of drugs is another solution to drug trafficking.
With drugs more readily available, at lower prices and higher levels of potency
many law enforcement personal and politicians favor legalization of drugs. While
other experts favor keeping drug production and sell illegal, but decriminalizing

The Science Of Human Sexuality Essay
Sexology, an idea truly founded during the late nineteenth century, is the science
of human sexuality and fixates on the non reproductive physical and conceptual
functions of sex. Methodically researching physical sexual behavior and
objectively analyzing concepts of sexual desires, knowledge, and fantasies,
sexology examines human sex and sexual identity in its raw, realistic, and carnal
form. The science includes aspects of psychopathologic study in its evaluation of
individuals sexual identities, attained by observing which sexual acts an
individual engages in and what his or her objects of sexual desire are. This science
of sexology matured into its esteemed area of study in three stages, which span the
late nineteenth century through the late twenty first century. Preceded by an era
of largely constrictive and suppressive sexual culture, the initial phase and of
sexology arose in Germany and her surrounding countries from the 1860s through
1890s. Karl Marie Kertbeny first used sexology as a term in 1869. Richard Krafft
Ebing authored Psychopathia Sexualis (1886) and propelled Sexology s initial
stage by using the text to understand what normally functioning sexualities and
lifestyles were, procreation focused, opposite sex exclusive ideologies that perhaps
represented sexuality in an ideal world. However, Krafft Ebing s text goes on to
observe and record the true actuality of what sexuality looked like for people and
solidifies stage one as a stage of

or informational raw materials represented by these symbols. Information is the
relevant knowledge that results from the processing and arranging of data in an
ordered and useful form.
11.Data processing consists of :
a.Capturing the raw input data.
b.Manipulating it by using classifying, sorting, calculating and summarizing
techniques.
c.Storing, retrieving communicating, and reproducing the output results of the
manipulation.
12.These data processing activities are readily carried out by computers. A computer
can accept input data from, and communicate processed output to, a large number of
devices. The circuits in a computer are designed to facilitate calculating.
Classifying, sorting, and summarizing are made possible by the computer s ability to
perform simple comparisons and then, depending on the result, follow a
predetermined course of action. And split second storage and retrieval activities are
possible through the use of primary and secondary storage devices.

Tequila Research Paper
Tequila was actually first known as Mezcal wine but in order to distinguish between
the different Mezcal wines in south mexico, it was named tequila because this
particular wine came from Tequila, Jalisco. This regional Mezcal wine known as
tequila was made from the Blue Agave Plant surrounding the city of Tequila. These
plants could also be found northwest of the Guadalajara and in the highlands of Los
Altos. Shortly after tequila became its official name, Mexicobegan mass producing
and exporting bottles of tequila to the United States via El Paso, Texas and New
Mexico. Then in 1911, due to the Mexican Revolution and an increased sense of
patriotism, tequila became the most popular drink in Mexico. Doctors even began
prescribing Tequila,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It starts with the trimming of quiotes, or stalks, from the center of the plant then
the leaves from the piГ±a (the succulent core of the plant) are cut away. After being
harvested, the leaves are slowly baked to turn the fructans into fructose. Then
those leaves are either shredded or mashed under a large stone wheel and the
extracted agave juice is then poured into large wooden or stainless steel vats for
several days to ferment, producing what is called a wort, or mosto, with low
alcohol content. Then it can be distilled twice; the first time it is distilled it
produces what is called ordinario, and the second time produces a clear silver
tequila. The silver tequila can be bottled right away or pumped into wooden
barrels to age and develop a more mellow flavor and amber color. The flavor of the
tequila will either be sweeter and fruitier tasting or earthy depending on if the
leaves were harvested from the highlands or lowlands, respectively. The barrels are
usually made from white oak originating from the US, Canada, or France. Some
companies char the barrels before aging the tequila to infuse a smoky flavor, while
others reuse barrels that were used for other liquors such as whiskey or wine. After
being aged in the barrels for at least a year, it is then transferred into stainless steel
vats to

Drumming has a profound history as a method of communication, and the drum has an implementation of religious symbolism. Drums are a lot of fun to play, and every rock or pop band needs them, so drummers are in ever increasing demand. There are different methods on how to learn and play this instrument. Different sized drums and cymbals are arranged into kits, where a drummer can pick from a variety of sounds to lead or accompany a particular song. For starters, you can read on some basic care for your drum set. This includes setting up the drum kit, caring for the cymbals, and tuning the drums. While ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is said that if you can count to four, you can play the drums. Counting till 4 will be the basis of the beat. Virtually all major rock beats are built around basic 4/4 time signature. It basically means that each measure or bar of music is split into four quarter notes. Then with the right hand the hi hat is hit on every count. The hi hats are the foundation of most basic rock drumming beats as they typically hold a steady pulse while other limbs fill in on the snare and the bass versions. The rest is actually quite simple. Then the bass and snare versions should be added on the counts of 1 and 3 respectively. This will be the basic drum beat. When the basics are learnt you will be able to see how beats are built around this basic pattern. This is the basics to most rock drumming beats and grooves. The next step for learning how to play this well is to practice stick control and the rudiments. Drums rudiments help one to build independence and speed. The two most common rudiments are the single stroke roll and the double stroke roll. Since drumming is all about beats and counts, a drummer should be very precise in timing. Timing is a major factor while learning to play drums. A drummer should be able to create the mood and groove for any song, adding fills and accents in to pep things

The article s main argument claimed mainstream climate experts were wrong about the effect greater carbon dioxide levels had on the environment as well as the threat global warming posed to society. The contrarian scientists attempted to refute mainstream scientific findings that carbon dioxidelevels were rising rapidly throughout the past decade and that carbon dioxide itself was a pollutant. In the op ed, the climate science field was portrayed as faction of notable scientists with varying views on the extent and risk of global warming but that contrarian opinions, that wouldn t conform to the alarmist majority, were silenced by scientists who hyperbolized global warming s threats to society. Mainstream climate scientists saw this as a crude misrepresentation of their field and hit back with the fact that at the time, among climate experts, there was a general consensus of over 97% that global warming was anthropogenic as well as an imminent threat to human and environmental wellness.(Trenberth) They went on to claim that the journal s severe distortion of the field of climate research was misinforming the public by publicizing, and at times even praising outlandish accusations by minority dissenting scientists. Many researchers and public officials were angered by the paper s misrepresentations arguing the Wall Street Journal was simply fueling

It s comprising a five tier model of human needs, often depicted as hierarchy levels within a pyramid. Maslow (1943, 1954) believed people move through different stages of five needs that motivate our behaviour. He called these needs physiological, safety, social, esteem and self actualization. He stated that people are motivated to achieve certain needs and that some needs take precedence over others. I remember back 20 years ago when the ISO 900x standards were pushed heavily in Eastern Europe s manufacturing economy, it was like reminiscent of a bank robbery during daylight. Consulting certification companies were making tons of money and in return were giving their clients a right to put label called ISO 900x. Around that time I was working as a mechanical designer in a leading manufacturing factory and one day I witnessed an extremely interesting conversation between part time 75 year young engineer and the head of the ISO certification group that was converting our company into ISO 9000 certified. I happened during informal 15 min break, when out of the blue, the engineer simply confronted the entire certification process and called that we have been conned. He challenged the certification group to present a standard that we may need and do not have. On every given example, he was able quickly to point existing standard and the published reference as in a number of cases he went back as 60 years to find the needed reference. In the end, he was able to build a strong case. Eventually, the head of the certification group concluded: You know it, I know it, the rest of people do not. Let s keep it that way . For a greater portion of my life, I have lived next to Multnomah Falls and all the beautiful hikes that surround it. My absolute favorite hike in the Columbia River Gorge area is Punchbowl Falls. It is 5 miles and leads to a beautiful waterfall that people can swim in. Conquering this hike takes almost a full day as it is mostly uphill and once people finally find the waterfall, they do not ever wish to leave. Most of it is on a cliff s edge, which can be intimidating, but as people hike higher, they are able to see incredible views of thousands of trees that never end. If that isn t beautiful enough, the site of the waterfall is breathtaking. My first time going on this hike, I could hear the water of the waterfall roaring, much like my excitement to capture in its beauty. For many years, even into adulthood, I thought ministry was only about preaching. I did not understand the depth of ministry until I became intimate with God. I realize that those who said they were called to preach are only seeking out a job because true ministry is a lifestyle. My spiritual journey began in early childhood. However, unlike many others who grew up as pastor kids, the long boring years I spent in church services deterred me from wanting to go into ministry. Even into adulthood, I went to church but that is all I wanted to do. I wanted to go to service, listen to the pastor, give my offering, say amen then go home and proceed with the rest of my life. In fact, this cycle and my view about doing ministry continued until my late 20s. As a seminarian looking back on my childhood, I discovered my family s church habits were the norm for people at that time. My grandmother did not believe women should to wear pants because they were things that pertain to a man (Deuteronomy 22:5) and the skirt should always be a modest length. I could not see it at that time, but, unknowingly, while I was grumbling and complaining about my clothes and the time we spent in church, the other believers were instilling biblical values in me that would manifest later in life. My relationship with God between ages 18 and 26 is similar to the people in the last

Focusing on the 3rd grade standard SS.3.G.1.1, students will use thematic maps, tables, charts, graphs, and photos to analyze geographic information. The information being taught is declarative because students will acquire factual knowledge and information that can be spoken about at any time. Lastly, they fit into the remember and understand levels of Bloom s Taxonomy because students will remember locations on the map and later understand different information and landmarks embedded in states. Answer: The drug Topiramate is a sulfamate substituted derivative from the monosaccharide D fructose that is known for its anticonvulsant and antimigraine actions.1 Therefore, it is helpful for patients with seizures and migranes. Epilepsy is a specific example of what this drug is used to treat. Topiramate is different from other antiepileptic drugs because it is thought to block the spreading of seizures instead of lowering the threshold like other antiepilepsy drugs. 2 Although the exact mechanism that Topirmate cannot be identified, it is currently being observed from biochemical studies. Scientist have observed that the drug blocks voltage dependent sodium channels, augments the activity of gamma aminobutyric acid, antagonizes the AMPA /kainite subtype of glutamate receptor, and inhibits carbonic anhydrase. 1 Should this medicine be used to treat bulimia nervosa? Bulima nervousa is a disease that causes patients to engulf large amounts of food in a short amount of time, which then causes them to take action by purging or taking laxitives to get rid of the large sum of food they consumed. 3 There was a study that used a randomized, Double Blind, Placebo Controlled Trial, to test if Topiramate had an effect on the behavior, body weight, and quality of life related to health in patients suffering from

This makes sense because they are now leaving childhood behind and they need to be responsible for the actions that they do. How Did The Vietnam War Influence The French Indochina War Derek Schmidt College English Opinion Based Research Essay The French Indochina War Starting in late 1946, a rebellion began in French Indochina. The French colony, only recently liberated from Japanese occupation, was eager to assert its independence from France. However, the French, wishing to retain their colonial empire, had no wish to let this happen. Backed by the United States who was afraid of the spread of communism in the area, France fought a brutal war to maintain its position of power over Indochina. Ultimately, just like the VietnamWar that succeeded it, the French Indochina War was a waste of time, money, and manpower. French Indochina was a colony of France consisting of the modern day countries of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. The colony was created after the French occupied several important cities and the Vietnamese were forced to sign treaties acknowledging the authority of the French over Vietnam. After gradually establishing suzerainty over Indochina between 1858 and 1893, the French created the first Indochinese Union to govern it (Indochina). French influence was strongest in the urban centers, while it had little impact on the far more populous rural areas. French Indochina came under the occupation of the Japanese during World War II, and the Japanese collaborated closely with the French colonial administrators and BбєЈo ДђбєЎi, the Emperor of Vietnam and a French puppet ruler. Once the war ended and Japan surrendered, French troops reoccupied

What Is Kant Idea Of Suicide 4 18 17 Within this chapter of Kant, I was really interested in the idea of, [Acting] as if the maxim of your action were to become by your will a universal law of nature (Kant 31). This has been one of the Kantian ideas that I have agreed with. It is basically saying, Act how you want others to act or even, Lead by example . As mentioned in another journal, this could either cause a lot of peace in the world or a lot of negativity and chaos. One example that Kant gives that could pose a problem with this idea is the idea of suicide. Kant believes that suicide is a way for someone to use themselves as a mean rather than an end (Kant 31). As mentioned earlier in previous chapters, Kant believed that humans should never act as means and only as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Kant also goes on to explain that this could never be a law of nature because it would in fact, Destroy life itself which would in turn prevent someone from being able to make their life better (Kant 32). I agree with Kant on his reasoning in this situation. If suicide was to become a universal law, it would become acceptable to terminate one s own life, which is an act of selfishness in a lot of ways. I also don t see how suicide could be considered an act of self love. I believe it is an act of selfishness and is something that should never become a universal law for this reason. Taking one s own life will not make anyone s life easier, in fact it will end up hurting a lot of other people which would therefore go against Kant s belief in doing something purely out of the good in it and therefore not be a goodwill as its end in itself does not promote anything good. I also believe that suicide would go against Kant s belief of a human being superior over everything else. It shows that some humans are weak and are therefore inferior to other creatures in the world. It shows that some humans are weak because rather than face trouble or fear, they choose to end it all at once without ever knowing what

The modes of communication are endless, including: text, email, social media, phone calls, letters, fax, radio, podcast, and live via virtual video. Each one of these modes of communication opens a window of opportunity for a person to demonstrate rude behavior or improper etiquette. Have you ever been to dinner with a friend to catch up and found yourself staring at them as they stare into their cell phone? In this instance, it is believed that the person simply does not know they are being rude. Their rudenessis caused by mere ignorance or the thought that it is socially acceptable now (LaBossiere 2008). However, it has been found that there are other causes of rude behavior such as a means of demonstrating superiority due to one s own insecurities or anxieties, a person s level of stress, and prior victimization from those who have

Darwin expanded on this theory by saying that by producing more offspring than could survive that would create competition between the organisms. With that the organisms would produce more offspring usually with adaptations that could make them stronger in one way or another. The demographic environment is of major interest to marketers because it involves people, and people make up markets (Course Book Principle of marketing) пѓ°Demographic is a group of consumers that has a mutual collection of market relevant attributes. It can be any number of people that share the same time frame. Market relevant attributes can include any number of shared values, physical attributes, experiences, beliefs, environmental conditions, cultures, or political or financial elements that can be used to increase awareness, loyalty, sales, or product improvement. All of the above is combined together to create a demographic group image. This is how a demographic profile is formed. пѓ°An example of this would be: single, working class, female, 18 24, with a high school education. Subgroups or subcultures can be determined when profiles come together. These profiles show the characteristics of a member in these subgroups /cultures. The Definition Of Auteur The debate about the definition of auteur has been going on since the 1940 s, the original writers of the theory consist of a group of French cinema enthusiasts such as; Truffaut, Jean Luc Godard, Eric Rohmer and Claude Chabrol. The theory first emerged in their magazine Cahier du cinema. It was in this magazine that they wrote the basis of the theory. As John Caughie explains Traditionally, the reference to the auteur in French filmcriticism had identified either the author who wrote the script, or, in the more general sense of the term, the artist who created the film. In the work of Cahiers the latter sense came to replace the former, and the auteur was the artist whose personality was written in the film (Caughie, 1981). Femininity and masculinity revolves around the traditional culture which is present in contemporary China. In the case of Chinese women we saw all types of public leisure spaces which expressed a sense of comfort for the women as they preferred being in groups as they perceived shopping malls and cafes as less masculinized. It engaged traditional behaviour which for women is a strong trait that enables a constructed performance of hegemonic masculinity from the men. Women were always faced with long standing gendered norms of masculinized spaces like bars and clubs were primarily associated with hyperfeminzation of women by the hegemonic masculinity of the males. This article also contributes insight into the ways of which young women are participants into the ongoing question of what it means to be a traditional Chinese girl in a contemporary setting. As Gaetano argues, this is important to recognize, as it positions women not only as sexualized objects in the negotiations of cultural norms, but also as subjects of history whose everyday activities, including public leisure, constitute an important platform for the negotiation of national identities. While conducting research on women s gendered experience in public spaces, topics of familial responsibilities and gender division of labour were discussed and remained mainly around women s responsibilities towards a equitable division of labour in other households.
