1. The Yellow Wallpaper Essays
Crafting an essay on "The Yellow Wallpaper" can be a challenging endeavor that demands a deep
understanding of the text and its intricate themes. The complexity of the topic lies in the
multiple layers embedded in the narrative – from exploring the protagonist's descent into
madness to dissecting the societal constraints placed upon women during the time the story was
written.
To begin with, one must navigate through the nuanced portrayal of the main character's mental
deterioration, deciphering the symbolism within the yellow wallpaper itself. Analyzing the
protagonist's perception and the impact of her environment on her mental state requires a keen
literary insight. Moreover, delving into the historical context of the late 19th century and
understanding the societal norms that influenced the author's narrative choices adds another
layer of complexity.
The psychological aspects of the story further complicate the writing process. Interpreting the
protagonist's psyche and the symbolism of the wallpaper requires careful consideration of the
narrative's psychological elements. One must grapple with the fine line between reality and
delusion, exploring the blurred boundaries that make the story both intriguing and perplexing.
Furthermore, addressing the feminist undertones of "The Yellow Wallpaper" demands a nuanced
approach. Unraveling the implications of gender roles and societal expectations, especially in the
context of the author's own experiences, requires a thorough examination. Balancing literary
analysis with feminist critique adds an additional challenge to the essay-writing process.
In conclusion, writing an essay on "The Yellow Wallpaper" involves navigating through a
labyrinth of literary, psychological, and feminist complexities. It demands not only a
comprehensive understanding of the text but also the ability to synthesize various elements to
present a cohesive and insightful analysis. Despite the difficulties, the end result can be a
rewarding exploration of a timeless piece of literature.

2. Fly Fishing Argumentative Essay
Fly Fishing has become more and more popular throughout the years. Many would
argue that fly fishing is their religion of choice. This article goes into detail about
how fly fishing is a religion to certain people. People will travel the world to see in
search of the perfect location to fish. So how did fly fishing get to be considered a re
religion? According to Samuel Snyder, scholars began to examine and focus on
topics that were not traditionally considered religious. David Chidester and Robert
Orsi pushed the scholars to investigate the different forms of religion throughout the
world. As a result scholars such as Rebecca Gould combined lived religion and
nature religion to form lived religions of nature . Orsi ultimately defined... Show more

North Korean Culture The United States of America is truly a melting pot. People
of different cultures and ethnic groups flee to America to experience a piece of the
American Pie . The culture of foreigners is different from the cultures of American
s. This has caused a lot of preventable tragic events over the years. Due to a lack of
communication, individuals of different cultural groups and ethnicity can easily be
evaluated as dangerous, rude, and even extremist because of the cultural barriers.
With the world moving at such a fast pace, people don t tend to consider the culture
beliefs and behaviors of their new neighbors. Ultimately leaving people of different
beliefs in fear that Americans opinions and perception of their culture will put them
in harm, leaving them prisoner in a free country. I broke the cultural barrier and

Nearly fourteen years ago, the Calgary based oil enterprise Enbridge announced its
most controversial project yet; to build a $6.5 billion oil duct from Bruderheim,
Alberta to Kitimat, British Columbia (Canadian Press, 2013, para. 1). It was to be
named the Northern Gateway Pipeline .Enbridge s preliminary announcement on the
sixth of March, 2002, not only divided the province of British Columbia on whether
environmental or economic prosperity was more important, but the country of Canada
as a whole. Although the name Northern Gateway is well known in many Western
Canadian households, few truly know the details of what this project entails. Many
environmentalists and economists (Mortillara, Nicole, Global News, 2014) debate
the benefits and the negative impacts that this pipeline will have on Canadians and
Canadian society. Others, though, are trying to understand what steps are being taken
to ensure environmental sustainability during construction, and for the many years
after its projected completion. This multi billion dollar project has many vocal
opposers, and a seemingly equal amount of environmental risks that accompanies it,
all adding up to the general consensus that this duct is not worth the economic
benefits that it would produce.
Enbridge estimates that 99% of the crude oil from Alberta is transported to the United
States. Currently though, America s demand for imported oil is decreasing
(AsiaPacific.ca/Canadian Oil), as oil exploitation in the

Cormac McCarthy s No Country for Old Men follows three very different men in a
tense cat and mouse chase through several border towns. It begins with a drug
smuggling deal gone very wrong in the middle of the desert that leaves behind a
truck bed full of cocaine and a sack with 1.4 million dollars left for someone to
discover. When on a hunting endeavor, Llewelyn Moss discovers the scene and the
million dollars. When he takes the money, he seals his fate with a brutal killer named
Anton Chiguhr, and the old Sheriff, Ed Tom Bell. These men display three different
personalities and mannerisms. The three main characters in Cormac McCarthys No

People currently in the Foreign Service have said that the degree you go after
doesn t really make a difference. Age does matter, you have to be at 20 and under
59. Individuals must pass the standardized test and must be able to submit a
resume with past experiences. After passing that test, you are invited to participate
in the oral exam, where you have to play the role of an embassy officer and work
with your team mates to solve complex problems. It also helps to be proficient in
two or more different languages. The salary in the Foreign Service is a bit
complex, people who want to go in to must understand its limitations. It is also
important to understand that Foreign Service officers live around the world, not
always in Washington D.C. and they are usually relocated every two to three
years. Relocating every so often can become quite expensive, which is why
Diplomats are offered a generous stipend or free housing overseas, this is done

7. Mills And Workers During The Industrial Revolution In
Europe
Many children did not have a chance to learn. Instead of learning at a school they
were working hard in the mills and mines with the men and boys. Some were
beaten in the mills. They really did not have much freedom at all. The only school
they knew was Sunday school. Some were taught how to pray. Some of the
children did not enjoy working in the mills and mines because the work was very
hard. They often spoke about their experiences working in the Mills and the mines.
Children were interviewed and talked about their experience at the Mills and mines
during the Industrial Revolution in Europe. On June 23, 1849, 1Sarah Carpenter
stated that she had frequently seen Master Thomas Birks pulling on older girls
clothes who were seventeen and eighteen years old. She stated that he threw them
across his knee and whip them with his hand. The men and boys would watch him

She often talked about the over lookers . There were people who would go back
and report everything to the master. One day she had an encounter with William
Hughes. He spanked her with a stick and she told him that she was going to tell her
mother what he had done. When she told him that he went to the master. The
master hit her with a stick in the head until she was bleeding and lumps began to
form. She was in so much pain that she could not sleep. They were treated so bad
that some were killed; for example a woman stopped her machine and one of the
over lookers made her fall to the floor. It was reported to the master and he kicked
her so hard that she had to wear away until she passed away. They were always
locked away during Mill hours. They were all treated unfairly. Their masters treated
them as if they were not human. In my opinion the over lookers were considered
trouble makers. If they could not perform their job they were
8. Explain Why Soccer Is The Best Sport In The World Essay
Soccer is, by far, the best sport in the world. Many might disagree with this
statement but I think that soccer should be considered the best sport. The fans cheer
louder than any other sport, there is more blood, sweat, and tears than any other
sport, and soccer requires you to think more than any other sport. The passion
between the fans and the players is indescribable unless you experience it first hand.
There are many reasons to why soccer is the best sport in the worldbut some of the
reasons why soccer is the best sport in the world are, it is the most popular sport
around the world, it is one of the hardest sports to learn and pick up on, and I have
been playing soccer my entire life so therefor it has to be the best. The first reason...

Most people think that soccer is just about kicking a ball and getting it into the
goal. Although that might be the general goal of soccer, this sport requires
awareness, aggressiveness, hard work, and a lot of passion. Soccer requires years
of practice and dedication. Starting at a young age practicing passing, your touches
on the ball, and how well you shoot the ball into the back of the net are all key and
will improve how well of a player you become. Completing good passes is key to
winning games. Making a good pass to a player on your team could broaden your
opportunities to score or have an attempt at scoring. Your touch on the ball is key
because if you do not have a good first touch a defender can take the ball very
easily. You also need to have a good touch on the ball so you can dribbled around
defenders and make the correct decisions when it comes to making moves.
Shooting is how the ball ends up in the back of the net which is how the team wins
games. To shoot it does not have to be an upper ninety goal, which means the top
corner between the post and the crossbar. One way you will score is having a
heavy weighted shot low and into the bottom corner of the goal. All of these key
concepts to the sport of soccer take years of practice, hard work, and dedication and
that is why it is the best
9. Assess The Importance Of Phonemic Awareness
The workbooks that you use for the letter and sounds shows the phonemic awareness.
Phonemic awareness means the workbook should help your child in the learning and
being able to understand the sound of the letters that help to form words and segment
the letters in the words. Phonological awareness helps in the decoding and the child s
spelling abilities which will help in later readingand spelling. (Diane M Barone
/Marla H. Mallette, 2013). An example is a child that has phonemic awareness will
identify rhyming words in the workbook. Children can build phonemic awareness by
practicing the sounds. I like to sing an ABC rap it does the letter, sound, and a word

Children that are exposed to different types of print and books are better readers
and writers than those that have not been exposed to print and books. There
should be a lot of reading material in the child s environment, home and school.
Exposing your child to bookstores and libraries at an early age will foster the child
s interest in literature. Another way early childhood literacy can be formed is
giving your child support and encouragement for your child s progress in literacy. A
caregiver can help increase a child s literacy by reading storybooks to the child,
getting the child involved in activities that help them in reading and writing and
applying them. This is done by providing learning opportunities so the child can use
what they have learnt and making sure there is the right print materials. Having the
caregivers model literacy activities with the children enhances the child s literacy
and helps them to want to be engaged in it. (Strickland, D. S., Riley Ayers, S.

reading or just writing a shopping
10. Comparing Hawaii And Wyoming
Family Vacationing Hawaii and Wyoming are two states often visited because of the
variety of activities they offer. Even though both states appear different, they actually
do have similarities. Hawaii is a tropical island with a moderately warm climate year
round. Because of its climate, visitors generally enjoy outside activities. Wyomingis a
landlocked state that usually has cooler climate. However, in the summer, it can
rival Hawaii for heat. In Wyoming people spend a great deal of time driving around,
taking pictures and exploring new bucket list places. Also, activities such as hiking,
wagon riding, and cookouts allow people to be outside during their visit. [Thesis]:

They each have waterfalls that were once dried up from hot climate. Both states
have volcanoes and are made from a volcanic eruption. The Big Island of Hawaii is
basically a rock formed by lava. Yellowstone in Wyoming is a large, rocky
grassland formed by an eruption. Surprisingly, Hawaii has mountains just like
Wyoming. The Grand Teton mountains are stunning to look at and have snow on
top of each peak. Hawaii has one main mountain called Mauna Kea which has snow
on top of it even in warm climate. The activities and food are the same in Hawaii
and Wyoming. In Hawaii, my family went to a luau which was like a cookout.
Here, they served roasted pig in the ground, sides, and fruit. The food is not much
different than in Alabama. However, some restaurants did serve bison burgers and
different fish than I am used to. In Wyoming, we went to two different cookouts.
The first one was on Snake River and they served steak, potatoes, corn, and rolls.
The second cookout on a wagon ride had the same food as the first one, which is
similar to food in Alabama. Some restaurants served lamb, bison, and tenderloin
that my family is not used to. The transportation in Hawaii and Wyoming is the
same. My parents and I had to fly from Atlanta to both states because it is such a
great distance. We had to rent a car on both trips. To get around the Big Island of
Hawaii or to see hidden places, driving a long distance was required. Wyoming took
at least thirty minutes to get from one place to
11. Body Surface Are A Comparison Of Different Methods
Reflection: Comparison of methods I chose two methods during this investigation
to find my surface area; one of them was using the body parts as shapes, which was
useful as I was able to rely on already made formulas to find the surface area of my
skin. The other method was to use tight clothes that fit my body tightly, that way I
could measure the height x width of the cloth. I was able to find my body surface
area from these methods quite easily. I would say the easiest one to perform was
the 1st method, which was using body parts as shapes, I say this because it was
easier to use formulas of different types of shapes, and the results would be closer
to my actual body surface area, since I was able to use shapes that looked like my
body parts. On the other hand using clothes was not a bad option as it gave a more
general surface area, compared to the other method. Altogether, the only downside
that both methods have is that there is room to be a bit more accurate. For example,
I could have used different shapes that are more related to the specific body part,
which could have given in total an accurate body surface area.... Show more content

determine that it s likely that using tight clothing is more accurate than the other
method, which makes sense as the focus of this method was to closely cover the entire

Foster s book, he says, Actions can also be symbolic (p 112). Through this
symbolism, the reader comes to better understand Pi through his actions, shortening
his name that connects him to the water to be better able to be accepted by others.
His actions to survive in the Pacific, then, can be considered the symbolic fulfilment
of his destiny received from his name. Another example of the strong symbolism

India. He is not able to understand the fundamentals of each religion and, thus, these
mountains portrayed his struggle to come to terms

1.The alleged facts that gave rise to the plaintiff s case was that during the University

acts such as, physical and mental abuse, force of obsessive alcoholic beverage intake,
false imprisonment, and threats of sodomy against the freshmen swimmers.
According to the plaintiff, if the underclassmen did not comply with any of the
requests or duties that the upperclassmen told the underclassmen swimmers to
complete, they were forced into dangerous and life threatening acts. However, when
the head coach was informed about the heinous acts being performed by the

In regards to the case article, the Virginia Hazing Law states that the way that a court
can rule for the plaintiff with a claim of hazing is if the plaintiff has been suffered
bodily harm with physical signs. Therefore, the plaintiff who brings up such claims
has the burden of proof to bring medical documents and/or photos that prove the
claim of hazing, which was accompanied with bodily harm. Unfortunately, this was a
problem for the plaintiff in this particular case. In the case of hazing within UVA Men
s Swim team, the plaintiff filed a claim against the defendants of hazing. However, the
defendant, in agreement with the court, stated that the hazing of the plaintiff could
not stand because the plaintiff did not acquire any physical bodily harm from the
alleged hazing. In addition, the plaintiff did not seek medical attention to support his
claims. Therefore, the claim does not stand under the Virginia Hazing

Antitrust laws are a collection of laws and regulations, put into place over time, to
help govern the competiveness of large corporations. Enforced by the Federal Trade
Commission and the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) (
Antitrust Laws, 2003), the laws help regulate ethical behavior between businesses to
ensure that smaller businesses can compete with the bigger name corporations.
Mergers and monopolies come into play and greatly affect how these businesses run.

the specifics. The first case deals with a pharmaceutical company, the second two

what kind of ethical dilemmas are present. Read on as the cases are examined.

16. Descriptive Essay On Crystal Cave
Crystal Cave Crystal Cave is full of life. My favorite vacation was the time my
family and I went to Pennsylvania s Crystal Cave. Crystal Cave is one of
Pennsylvania s most famous tourist attractions, which was discovered in 1881.
Crystal Cave was once completely submerged underwater and was formed by an
earthquake. It was July 2017, that my family and I were staying in a hotel room in
Pennsylvania. We had many things planned for this trip, so we always had
something to do. One of the places I saw we were going to was a cavecalled Crystal
Cave. I had no knowledge of this cave, so I didn t know what to expect. But I had
remembered the last cave I went to here, Penns Cave. I loved that place, I was
fascinated there. So I told my family that I wanted to go to Crystal Cave, so we
packed some things and went.
When we first arrived there, the showed us a 4 5 minute video about Crystal Cave.
I learned that the cave was founded in 1881 by two brothers, William and George
Vanasse. I also learned that they had both carved their names in the walls of the
cave and you can still see them right now. But Crystal Cave wasn t just a normal
cave that you explore in, back then, people used it for weddings, parties, etc. The
room where they held these events is still fully functional, so you can still go in
there, but I don t think you can have a party in there anymore. When we finally got
into the cave, our tour guide told us that there are colonies of brown bats living in
the cave, but they have their own part of the cave, so you can t bother them. It was
cold in the cave, so everyone wore a sweatshirt. We also saw many different rock
formations such as animals, ice cream, and even one that looks like Donald Duck!
There were many glistening and shining crystals that William and George had
thought were diamonds, but they were just a very common crystal. They had a cave
formation that you could touch. The tour guide called them rotten eggs because they
looked like eggs that had been dropped and never cleaned up. When I touched them,
they were smooth and moist, yet somehow warm and lumpy. They had a rare rock
formation, a column! A column is created when a stalactiteand a stalagmite combine
together form one long pillar. These

The Mandate of Heaven Based on the Teachings of Confucius
The Chinese concept of the Mandate of Heaven, was based on the teachings of
Confucius and further enhanced a century later by a man named Mencius. Mencius
added to the Confucian teachings by addressing human nature and the right to
govern. Previously, China had been ruled by two divergent schools of thought. One
was selfish religion in how you could obtain happiness in an unsettled world by living
a simple life in harmony with nature.
Confucius taught that the improvement of society was the responsibility of the rules,
and that the quality of government depended on the ruler s moral character.

The welfare of the people of China was the main measuring rod for judging the
government. Mencius believed that all people were morally equal and that the ruler
needed the consent of his people. He hoped that a strong unifying leader could stop
the wars between regional areas and states from the Zhou period. Thus, if a ruler lost
the Mandate of Heaven, the people had every right to rebel and even overthrow that
particular unjust leader.
The Mandate of Heaven, actually mirrors the rulers of Chinaand shows that things
could be poor and the people would take things into their own hands and rebel.
These were rulers that led to the decline of the state of China. The Qin dynasty
unified China for a short period of time, but then collapsed. The Han, (earlier)
dynasty lasted several centuries, and then was replaced by the reign of Wang Mang,
then the later Han dynasty took over. In the end, none of these dynasties could unify
all of China. There was always a cycle of decline in the dynasties after a beginning
period of prosperity and power. Historians, both inside and outside of China, could
recognize this pattern. A pattern of prosperity, with decline right along side the
Mandate of Heaven, was the familiar way. The people were immediately pleased with
their government body, but as the government made poor choices, placed unequal
taxes on the poorest people, and interfered with others,

Trump has proposed that if he were elected he would build a wall on the border of

lessen the number of illegal immigrants per year dramatically, but it would also

girls were brought into the states illegally by their parents in order to give them a
better life . But not having legal status presented them with many obstacles, yet
they still managed to graduate from college, but could not have any of the jobs
offered to people who have the same level of education, since they were not US
citizens. If Trump were to oppose this act it would enable those like Marisela and

there will always be people coming the the US illegally but if they work hard
enough to make it through 2 years of college then that should be proof that they are

19. The Pros And Cons Of British Imperialism
No one can ever deny the fact that the British Empire contributed to most of the
world history. The British imperialism has impacted various aspects of the world,
even until today; however, there is a constant debate on whether it yielded more of
positives or negatives. For instance, Niall Ferguson in his book Empire: The Rise
and Demise of the British World Order and the Lessons for Global Power argues for
the positive values of the British imperialism. On the other hand, Fanon in
Concerning Violence and Orwell in Shooting an Elephant offer a negative view on
imperialism and colonialism. In the paper, the argument based on the comparison of
the claims made in these three articles, states that the argument made by Ferguson is
exaggerating... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The main argument of Fanon is that decolonization can successfully take place only
through violence. The colonial world is divided into two habitats of two different
species: the settlers and the colonized people. The settlers enjoy the privileges over
the natives or the colonized people in strongly built and hygiene, organized zone,
surrounded with the masses of food and goods. While, the natives stay in the town of
ill fame, with the limited amount of resources. The natives, feeling envy and desire of
possessions, think about overthrowing the settlers (Fanon, 1965, p.38 39). The
inequality and conflict between the settlers and the natives are the result of the
imperial rule more broadly, the consequence of the imperialism. Exploitation of the
natives by the colonizers is a common norm of imperialism; yet, Ferguson tries to
defend such negative consequence by presenting the benefits conferred by British
law and administration and being non venal that its sins are generally sins of
omission, not commission (Ferguson, 2002,

The patient s symptoms along with the lab results provided a very similar match to
Acute Acalculous Cholecystitis. Acalculous Cholecystitis refers to inflammation of
the gallbladder where gallstones are NOT the contributing factor. This is significant
because patient had a negative test result for gallstones. In this case, i think that it
was most likely caused by an increase in bile viscosity that occurs from stasis. And in
turn, leads to blockage of the cystic duct. The cystic duct connects the gallbladder to
the common bile duct.
Also the CT scan displayed gallbladder wall thickening (greater than 3mm),
subserosal halo, pericholecystic fluid (without ascites or hypoalbumenia),mucosal
sloughing and intramural gas. According to Imwong s radiology notes, this is the
major criteria to look for in order to match the scanned image to the inflammatory
disease.
Other criteria of Acute Acalculous Cholecystitisis leukocytosis with a left shift and an
elevated alkaline phosphatase level. Both of these were present in the patient.
Acute acalculous cholecystitis is suggested if a patient has no gallstones but shows a

21. The Challenges Of Adversity And Diversity In The
Workplace
In recent years, diversity and inclusion have emerged as an essential business
practice. Why are diversity and inclusion so critical to organizations nowadays? Do
they really help organizations achieve better results? Why is it a unique issue in the
21st century workplace? To answer these questions, organizations should look into
factors such as globalization. Globalization increases interactions around the world
and diversifies the profile of the workforce, which also contributes to the changing
composition of the current workforce. While globalization offers extensive
opportunities for organizations, it also imposes many challenges that require new
responses. Organizations are not only looking for ways to effectively manage a
diverse workforce but also to leverage it to achieve better outcomes. As diversity and
inclusion gain more attention in the society, more research has been done on their
impact to organizations. Not too long ago, organizations implemented diversity
management initiatives, such as affirmative action and equal employment
legislations, just to fulfill their legal requirements (Jayne and Dipboye, 2004).
However, diversity and inclusion have since then become a business imperative. Are
diversity and inclusion the same? They seem to go hand in hand, but they are actually
two different notions that need to be addressed separately. While diversity recognizes
that each individual is different from one and another, and that such differences must

World population projections currently expect another 2 billion people in the world
by 2050, and simultaneously, there isn t expected to be any measurable change in
the quantity of arable land to match this level of growth. Already, the United
Nations is grappling with the realities of a global food shortage crisis, meaning that,
even without the next 2 billion people added to the global population, world leaders
are struggling to feed the mouths we presently have. Experts are turning everywhere
for solutions, including the already realized prospect of genetically modified (GM)
crops that are uniquely resistant to pesticides, harsh winters and other threats as a
means to create more food sources and consolidate them. GM crops are only... Show

Essentially, crops are raised in a glasshouse under incessant, low cost LEDs whose
light is emitted at very specific wavelengths to catalyze photosynthesis. The far red
spectrum is important for triggering the reproductive growth and also light intensity
for healthy robust plants, according to Lee Hickey, a senior research fellow at the
University of Queensland and a co author on the new study. In the glasshouse, we
currently use high pressure sodium vapor lamps, and these are quite expensive in
terms of the electricity demand, Hickey explains. In our paper, we demonstrate that
wheat and barley populations can be grown at a density of about 900 plants per
square meter, thus in combination with LED light systems, this presents an exciting
opportunity to scale up the operation for industry use. This comes on the heels of a
fairly significant panel report from Parliament in India coming out against genetically
modified crops. The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Science and Technology,
Environment and Forests in New Delhi concluded that no GM crops should be
brought into the country without thorough evaluation of the probable effects. The
committee suggested that the government conduct this evaluation in collaboration
with several pertinent agencies,

Mlb and steroids
Introduction
This presentation will be evaluating and answering the following questions:
Could MLB argue that it is not an enforcement agent, and it has no way of
determining whether every player is using steroids at any given time?
Does this argument excuse any responsibility on the part of MLB?
Do you see any rationalizations for the steroid use or the lack of an effective policy
on its use in MLB?
What is the responsibility of MLB and the players to young people who are using
steroids?
Discuss the Canseco allegations that MLB just wanted revenue and turned a blind
eye to steroid use. Apply the various social responsibility theories to this point and
discuss the flaws in this competitive model
No! The MLB could not argue that it is not an enforcement agent, due to the fact that
Congress was already investigating all sports, and found out at every level, drugs
were being used. Chairman Staggers did not want the information leaked out to the
public being worried that it would increase the amount of teenagers using steroids.
The Committee Chairman went to the ...Baseball Commissioner Bowie Kuhn to
consider instituting tough penalties and testing, and he trusted Commissioner Kuhn
to do that (Jennings, 2012, p. 139). In spite of this, three decades went by and the
MLB did not regulate itself as agreed, and not one drug test was administered. This
caused an ethical dilemma. It was not until the early 90 s that the current baseball

civilians to carry concealed weapons on public campuses is risking thousands of

The Endocrine system is in charge of making sure your body works the way it
should. It works by sending chemical messages through your body to make sure it
works efficiently. The Endocrine system affects pretty much every cell and organ in
your body. This system includes every single gland in your body that makes
hormones. These glandsinclude the pituitary gland, parathyroid glands, adrenal
glands, thyroid gland, Pancreas, ovaries in females and testicles in males. These
collection of glands produce and secrete (release) hormones directly into the blood
stream. These hormones target specific cells in an organ, this is to control
metabolism, growth and development, tissue function, sexual function, reproduction,
sleep and mood. This is to help the body work the way it is suppose to. Homeostasis

27. Comparing Nature And Nature In Julius Caesar
man (2315). The narrator compares Nature to the natives, in order to emphasize the
concept of purity, which inherently goes hand in hand with the Adam and Eve
reference. This comparison to nature, portrays the vulnerability of the natives, by
using Nature as a way to symbolize a modest way of life that God had first intended
for Adam and Eve in paradise. Consequently, the terms used to describe Nature, such
as harmless, inoffensive, virtuous can also be used to refer to the native people, prior
to the devastation caused by the European colonizers. Additionally, the comparison to
nature also enhances the natural state of the natives and how she is something that
must be admired and protected in order to make the most of its existence. The
narrator openly admits the erroneous ways of Europeans, by claiming that the
invaders could have learned far more from the natives than all the inventions of man,
which exposes the barbarity of European intervention. Despite coming to the
realization that both cultures can learn a lot from each other, the narrator merely
conveys the extent of the natives purity and continues to document the varying
degrees of oppression. Ultimately, Behn signifies the shift of power when Mr. Trefrey
changes Oroonokos name to Caesar and the narrator follows through with this
oppressive gesture, by calling him Caesar until the end of his narrative. The name
change foreshadows Oroonoko s tragic death, but also serves as a representation of
28. Broken Crown Myth
What to do with a broken crown tooth?
The importance of the teeth is nothing new to be described as these plays an
inevitable role in our life. All of us understand the need and the advantage of having
healthy teeth throughout our life. The dentures and the implants are the excellent
examples to teach us the usefulness of the original teeth. There are several
complications that are related with the oral and dental health that tend us to seek the
services from a dentist. The broken crown is one of these complications that require
intervention from the dentists. The crowns are usually found to be intact for lifetime
but in some cases, these may become broken or get chipped due to different reasons.
In these conditions, we need to see the dentist for an appropriate cure.

As discussed earlier the degree of damage of the crown is responsible for the
severity of the symptoms; for example, the broken crown in hard traumatic injury
may develop sharp pain while the chronic decay may be characterized by the hot and
cold sensations.
Is there anything I can do to fix it?
This is the biggest mistake that anyone can make after having the broken crown. The
dental crowns are typical implants sort of object that cannot be fitted without expert
dental intervention. The ideas about rubbing some material on the broken crown or
filling it with some material may not only deteriorate the situation but also create
further complications.
Should I replace?
It is strongly advised to replace the dental crown to prevent the chances of further
damage to the tooth. The chipped or the cracked tooth may easily get damaged in
case of chewing something or due to the effect of the beverages or the other hard
things. It is better to replace the same as early as possible.

current GDP at current price and real GDP reflecting current GDP at past year prices.
Also, the chart reflects that the nominal GDP was greater than the real GDP for each
quarter of 2016 due to the value of the nominal GDP sub categories (personal
consumption expenditures, gross private domestic investments, and government
consumption expenditures and gross investment) all being significantly higher than
the same sub categories listed under the real GDP. The nominal GDP reflects the

are produced for that respective country s economy. However, the GNP does not
include the annual foreign production that is inherited by the domestic citizens,
whereas the GDP does include the foreign productions that are inherited by its
domestic citizens. According to the table above, to determine the GNP and GDP you
will calculate the national product total from the national and personal income.
National income is the overall annual value of goods and services within a respective
country economy. The chart shows that in 2016, the GNP was $7,864.80 higher than
the national income. National income is broken down into ten categories
(compensation of employees, rents, interest, proprietor s income, corporate income
taxes, dividends, undistributed corporate profits, indirect business taxes, consumption
of fixed capital and net foreign factor income). However, the employee compensation
makes up the largest portion of the national income. In my opinion, I believe this to
be true, because the economy is valued by its population and the services that are
provided and goods that are sold. This can t happen without having citizens gainfully
employed, which in return will need to be compensated for the work they are
contributing to their economy. Part III. GDP in Different Countries Country

30. Electrical Energy Into Mechanical Energy
Efficiency of any machine is how well it can convert one form of energy to another.
Induction motors transform electrical energy into mechanical energy. The induction
motor receives power from the provision mains through the stator coil windings.
The input power is electric power. The power from the stator coil winding is
transferred to rotor, via air gap by induction principle. The output power is a
mechanical power. The mechanical power is obtained at the shaft of the motor to
perform mechanical work. Then the efficiency is established by knowing the input
power and the output power.
Efficiency of any machine is the quantitative relation of output power and input
power. The efficiency of induction motor is determined using the equation ... Show

Its energy can be generated for both low and high voltage purposes, ranging from
12V for domestic uses to up to 240V for industrial applications. This quality
empowers it to significantly decrease waste in electric power.
Durability: another major advantage an induction motor has is that it is extremely
rugged. This makes it the optimal machine for a number of uses. Induction motors are
cost effective, low cost of maintenance and as a result these motor can run for years
with relatively no cost or maintenance as they do not contain brushes, commutators,
and slip rings. Induction motor can be operated in toxic environments as they don t
contain brushes that can cause sparks (Advantages of electric induction motors. n.d.).
4.3 Negatives
Speed Control: the main disadvantage of AC motors, is that their speed is difficult
to control. AC motors can be operated with variable frequency drives that provides
smooth turning torque, at low speeds and get control over the speed of the motor up
to its suggested value. Variable frequency drives enhance speed control, but create
losses with low power quality.
Control Complexity: another significant disadvantage is that an AC motor controller
must convert AC electricity to DC, and back again to an adjustable frequency and
voltage output to the AC motor.
Power and Torque: the major drawback of using an induction motor has been that
they develop less power, or less torque. The motor efficiency drops at low loads
because
31. Bf Skinner Theory
Child Development: B.F. Skinner In the field of child development, many
psychologists, sociologists, and behaviorists contributed and came up with different
theories that helped to form our current education system. One of those is B.F.
Skinner s theory of behaviorism, which had a great impact on many strategies we use
today for teaching and training. In his theory, operant conditioningis the most famous
and influential idea that helped people to understand the behaviors of children and
even adults. Skinner focused on how the environments, in the form of reinforcement
and punishments, influence behaviors. Thus, his theory cannot explain the higher
cognitive functions such as problem solving and critical thinking. Despite his
theory s critiques, Skinner stood strong on his ideas and theories. While other
psychologists believed that human psychology is a complex system because there
are so many external influences, Skinner had believed that human s mind is the
same as other animals, which explains why he had done experiments using
pigeons. Inspired by Watson and Pavlov, Skinner decided to study psychology and
focused on behaviorism. Skinner s theory was based on self observation, which
made him stood onto his believes regardless of the oppositions. In fact, during WW
II, Skinner convinced the military to fund his research the famous Project Pigeon to
train pigeons to guide bombs and torpedoes. (Greengrass, pg, 80) He chose pigeons
because he thinks they live

The modern
Indian lifestyles and lifestyle related diseases, as well as limited time to cook at
home, are also expected
to create demand for health and wellness products in the coming years. These factors,
coupled with environmental issues and growing resistance towards genetically
modified food products, are predicted to
accelerate growth in the organic food category.
Indian consumers currently spend a large portion of their income on food. Nearly 45
percent of
consumption expenditures go for food (51 percent in rural areas and 39 percent in
urban areas). In urban
areas, the consumption of processed and ready to eat (RTE) or convenience foods is
higher due to
relatively higher disposable incomes, exposure to a greater variety of processed
foods, a preference for
quick meals, and familiarity with foreign foods or cuisines. Rural consumers tend to
prefer traditional
Indian foods prepared at home, but exposure to processed foods is increasing even in
rural areas.
Demand for premium high value foods such as chocolates, almonds and other dried
nuts, cakes and
pastries, imported fruits, fruit juices, and Indian sweets peaks during the fall festive
and wedding seasons.

Today I ll be talking about Francesco della Rovere whom later became Pope Sixtus
IV from the 14th century who was mostly known for his renovation and sizable
projects throughout Rome which became a supreme element and feature of Rome
s cityscape by the late 15th century. Sixtus assumed to the spiritual role as Pope of
the Roman Catholic Church on the 14th of December 1471 1484 and almost
immediately got renovations and building projects underway from the Ponte Sisto
to the Vatican Library and many streets throughout Rome. Prior to becoming Pope,
Sixtus was a prominent scholar and theologian and acquired his doctorate in 1444.
Unfortunately most facts about Sixtus before he was Pope are not to be found or
are quite rare which leads some historians to think that Sixtus could of been
ashamed of his prior life. However we do know that he came from poor family, his
father was either a fisherman or a cloth trader, and he became very close friends
with the della Rovere family. According to a few sources I found he became so

36. Current Economic Conditions In The United States
Current Economic Conditions
As previously stated in the executive summary, the United States economy is
currently stagnating. From week to week we may see a rise in one indicator while
there is a fall in another indicator, but none of the rises or falls are drastic enough to
have an overwhelming impact on the economy as a whole. Although the economy is
not near as strong as it was before the 2008 2009 recession, arguably one of the
biggest economic crises of the past decade, there has been much growth and strength
throughout the past few years with this year being the first year in which the
economy is in somewhat of a holding pattern. I believe, that even with the little
growth and movement of the United States economy over the past year, it is still
perhaps one of the strongest economies in the world at the moment.
The rise and fall of GDP over a specific period of time is, in many cases, the number
one indicator for how the economy is doing. Being the output of final goods and
services, GDP works well with consumer confidence and provides a good idea as to
the general health of the economy. By looking at Figure 1, we can see that GDP
rose steeply after the 20008 2009 recession and has continued to remain strong with
relatively little movement since 2010. In the most recent quarters, 2014 and 2015,
GDP has declined a little, but the decline is in no way too drastic nor did it have any
significant impact on the economy. This slight decline is more like GDP

Choosing a career is difficult for everyone. There are personality tests and quizzes
to help us choose, but nothing compares to the eureka moment that hits you when
you least expect it. My eureka moment happened over Christmas of my junior year.
I anxiously researched the best universities, compiled admission statistics, and
started a list of which colleges I would visit. With little idea of what I wanted to do,
I weighed my options. Career Education and Career Literacy did an adequate job
supplying me with a variety career paths that matched my interests, but I was unsure
which one was for me.
Nevertheless, Christmas break gave me the opportunity to talk to family and family
friends and to scour the internet for more in depth information about my potential
career opportunities. Family travels from all over the country to spend Christmas
Eve at my grandparents home. My family members work in several different career
fields. They are police officers, lawyers, doctors, engineers, and teachers, all with
hectic schedules, therefore, it is challenging to bring the entire family together.
This holiday is the exception because everyone is eager to catch up on each other s
busy lives and eat my grandfather s homemade stuffing. With our growing family, it
is always incredible to hear their stories of work and travel over delicious food.
Making their way through the long buffet line, each person took their oversized
portion of delicious food and sat in their unofficial

39. Comparing The Israelites And The Puritans
The Puritans believe they are morally superior to everyone else. The Puritans are
about to leave England. They are Israelites is what they are. They are fleeing Egypt.
Good Riddance! Next stop, land of milk/honey(4). Vowell uses a simile to compare
the Puritans to the Israelites in order to reveal how the Puritans consider themselves.
The Old Testament Israelites, references specifically the Israelites that escaped from
Egypt in the Book of Exodus. After the population of Jews in Egypt had become so
numerous the Pharaoh feared what they might be able to do and put them into
slavery. The Israelites eventually escaped Egypt by crossing the Red Sea and
eventually make it to land God had gifted them, the land of Canaan. The Puritans
compare to the Israelites because they too felt some religious persecution. Catholic
rulers like Mary I persecuted Protestants and had many executed. The Puritans also
flee from a land not as pure as themselves in order to start anew. Cotton himself tells
the Puritans that they are God s chosen, and America is their Canaan. The Israelites
inspire the Puritans to get away. The Old Testament Israelites are to the Puritans what
the blueswas to the Rolling Stones a source of inspiration, a renewable resource of
riffs(2). Vowell uses an analogy to compare two unlike things like Puritans and the
Rolling Stones. The blues is a genre of music originating in the Deep South of the
United States around the end of the 19th century. The emotion

41. India Dark Age Essay
India s so called Dark Age, from 185 BCE to CE 300, was not dark regarding trade.
Trade continued, with more being sold to the Roman Empire than was being
imported. In India, Roman coins were piling up. The Kushan invaders were absorbed
by India, Kushan kings adopting the manners and language of the Indians and
intermarrying with Indian royal families. The southern kingdom of Andhra
conquered Magadha in 27 BCE, ending the Sunga dynasty in Magadha, and Andhra
extended its power in the Ganges Valley, creating a new bridge between the north
and the south. But this came to an end as Andhra and two other southern kingdoms
weakened themselves by warring against each other. By the early 300s CE, power in
Indiawas returning to the Magadha region,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He succeeded his father in 455. Then the Hephthalites returned, and he spent much of
his reign of twenty five years combating them, which drained his treasury and
weakened his empire. Perhaps people accustomed to wealth and pleasure should
have been more willing to contribute to a stronger military force. At any rate, Skanda
Gupta died in 467, and dissention arose within the royal family. Benefiting from this
dissention, governors of provinces and feudal chieftains revolted against Gupta rule.
For a while the Gupta Empire had two centers: at Valabhi on the western coast and at

2. Why is balance an issue in UTP cables, and what is TCL?
i. The balance or symmetry of the signal over the wire pairs helps minimize
unwanted leakage of the signal. ii. TCL Transverse Conversion Loss The TCL
measurement is obtained by applying a common mode signal to the input and
measuring the differential signal level on the output. a. TCL is sometimes called
LCL (Longitudinal Conversion Loss). The ELTCLT value (expressed in dB) is the
difference between the TCTL and the differential mode insertion loss of the pair
being measured. TCTL is the loss from a balanced ... Show more content on

19. What is a benefit of using shielded twisted pair cabling? i. Cable with the addition
of a shield is called shielded twisted pair (STP) cable. The addition of this shield
reduces the potential for electromagnetic interference (EMI) as long as the shield is
grounded. a. EMI originates from devices such as motors and power lines, and from
some lighting devices such as fluorescent lights.20.
20. Which cable, UTP or STP, is preferred by the industry? i. Industry testing on
STP cable has shown that the addition of a shield does increase the usable
bandwidth of the cable by increasing the noise rejection between each of the wire
pairs. However, the tests have shown that there is not a significant advantage of
placing a shield over a properly installed 4pair 100 ohm UTP cable. ii. Most
manufacturers are recommending the use of UTP cable for cabling computer
networks except for very noisy environments.

43. The Importance Of Being Earnest Or Wilde Essay
This semester in Drama 1101: Intro to Theate we are required to read and attend
plays that confront social and aesthetic issues. I have a love for plays and
broadway productions. So, when enroll in the course I knew that this will be
something I will enjoy. I learned so much and enjoy the overall class experiences.
The first play that we were required to attend is The Importance of Being Earnest,
by Oscar Wilde. The importance of being Earnest one of the most remarkable
works of satire and criticism not only in the Victorian age, but also nowadays,
since it discloses many aristocratic behaviors that seems to be very weird and funny
at the same time. the several interpretations of this play may be considered as an
enough reason for explaining the wit and cleverness of Oscar Wilde. The overall
play fit well within the space of the theatrebecause the layout corresponds with the
flow of the play. The play itself didn t need a large or over the top spacing because
of its few actors. Throughout the play there were at least two to three actors sharing
the stage. The play was done on a prosceniumtheatre and it is stage outlined by what
is called the proscenium arch. This arch is architectural in nature and serves as a
picture frame surrounding the view of the action on stage. The layout of the stages
gives the actors the ability to use the apron more often especially when there s a
moment between actors or an actorby themselves. For example, there were moment
between Jack and Gwendolen that they were in conversation in the apron area also
Cecily and Algernon. The actors use that part of the stage because it gives the
audience a better view and it flowed with the play itself. The architecture of the
theatre adds to the performance by extended the stage to bring about more in the
actors to fully enhance the character. There were choices made by the actors and the
director that help make the production a success. Each actor took the acting methods
that best fit the character they were playing and done things that enhance the
feedback of the play. The actors seem very believable in the roles. They fully
embody the character in many ways from the way they walk, and even the facial
