INTRODUCTION
 Hospital Management System (HMS) is a project
which aims in developing a computerized system
to maintain all the information of hospital entities.
 It has a facility of admin login through which the
admin can monitor the whole system.
 Admin modules are managing patients, manage
doctors and managing appointments.
 Patients modules are find doctors and applied for
appointment , view appointment and view
prescription.
 Doctors modules are view our appointments, write
prescription and view patient details.
OBJECTIVE
 The main objective of this project is to
manage the records of patients, doctors
and appointments.
 Reduce the paper work and provide the
24*7 accessible website with user friendly
GUI ( Graphical user Interface ) to manage
the records.
 Patient can search and view doctor’s profile
and also apply for appointment.
 Also useful for doctors for viewing patient’s
details and also write prescription.

will perform online searching of doctors

PHARMACY
MODULE
This module deals with all
medical items. This module
helps in maintaining item
master, receipt of
drugs/consumables,
issue,handling of material
return, generating retail bills,
stock maintenance. It also
helps in fulfilling the
requirements of both IPD and
OPD Pharmacy.
 It also accesses the doctor
prescription to a patient and so
drug issuance becomes faster
and reliable. It handles well the
outpatients, inpatients,
departmental issuance and
general outpatient’s
requisitions.

This module enables the maintenance
of investigation request outpatient
registration, wards and billing

ray and ultrasound tests. Requests can
be made from various points,
including wards, billing , sample
collection and the laboratory receiving
point. The laboratory module is
integrated with the inpatient/
outpatient

MODULE
This module also master module that handle all the
master entry details for the hospital requirement such
as consultation detail, doctor specialization,
consultancy fee, patient detail,Test detail, Patient
Test and service charges.
BILLING MODULE
This module tracks all services that patient has gone
through and charges been levied and generates an
automated billing as per those services. Other service
charges can also be levied as per hospital norms and
can be included in the final bill.
 This module includes:-

 Provision to add service charges of Hospital.
 Tax master that may be required to include
in billing.
 Inpatient and Outpatient cash and credit
billing.
 Advance collection utility.
 Authorize billing and immediate claim
request process in case of insurance patient
and collection of cash otherwise.
 Provision to search old bills with easy search
strings like patient name, mobile no.,
emaild-ID and so on.
CONCLUSION
 The package was designed in such a way that
future modifications can be done easily.The
following conclusion can be deduced from the
development of the project.
 Automation of the entire system improves the
efficiency.
 It provides a friendly graphical user interface
which proves to be better when compared to
the existing system.
 It effectively overcomes the delay in
communications.
 Updating of information becomes so easier.
 System security, data security and reliability
